Places to stay in Readsboro
The Readsboro Inn is located on scenic Route 100 in Southern Vermont 20 minutes from North Adams, Massachusetts, 3.5 hours from NYC and 2.5 hours from Boston. We offer 7 rooms, a restaurant and bar to enjoy good food and fabulous cocktails and wi-fi. PLEASE NOTE: This particular listing is for ROOM No. 6. If you see no availability, please search additional Readsboro Inn listings for more rooms.
What makes our space unique is that it is connected to a fabulous restaurant and bar where you can enjoy lunch and/or dinner Wednesday-Sunday. We are also just 20 minutes from MASS MOCA in N. Adams, 20 minutes from ZOAR kayaking in Charlemont andn 20 minutes to Wilmington and 25 to Mt. Snow area. And being 20 minutes from everywhere means you are somewhat in the middle of nowhere and that means peace and quiet amongst the Green Mountains of Vermont.
If you blink, you will miss Readsboro, which is a good thing. We are a tiny town in Vermont but with all you need-- our Inn, our restaurant and bar. There is also a general store/gas station in town. And there is a cute little breakfast place too with great food. What more could you want!
  • We had an amazing time at Casey’s Inn and will definitely be back. The restaurant downstairs was amazing and the live music even better. We spent the weekend skiing and totally recommend staying here.

  • Clean, great location, awesome wings downstairs

  • The Readsboro is our favorite spot to travel to in VT. Cozy bed and breakfast with amazing restaurant food downstairs. The bar is also cozy and welcoming. We love staying here!

  • Incredibly friendly and hospitable! Clean, basic accommodations which were exactly what we needed! Will definitely stay there again!

  • Very nice and quite place with excellent pizzas.

    Maikel2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • This is the spot. We had a delicious dinner (there is a charming dining room with a full menu that all looked good, in addition to our delicious wings, sweet potato fries, and pub fare). The bar is fun with pub games and sports on tv. Rooms are sparse but super clean, comfortable, and well-appointed with linens and towels. Past reviewers noted it’s loud when you stay upstairs: true. The communal bathrooms were clean. 2 bathrooms. There’s also a shared lounge room with a kitchenette of sorts, that had a fresh banana bread for guests in the morning. Nice! Staff is kind and thoughtful. Brian gave us free drinks on our anniversary. This is a short drive from other beautiful spots in the area and a great value. Would absolutely stay again.

    Megan2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Really great stay. Very well welcomed (even a little packet filled with “instructions” + tourism information), bedroom was perfect. 2 shared bathrooms for the 6 rooms they have that are super clean. Coffee, tea and water is offered as well as a super good cake handmade for the guests in the morning. Right on the scenic road 100. Only bad thing is that you can here noise from the bar downstairs and in case you sleep a little “late” in the morning you can end up having no water or coffee...

Panoramic mountain views are beautiful, I have never tired of looking at them in 30 years. Summer's sound of leaves gently rustling, fall's colors jump off the mountains, spectacular! My neighbors are friendly, yet respect your space. I have enjoyed being a part of my town for 30 years, the people are terrific, always right there for me!
  • I had a great couple of days at Kim’s place. Perfect place to get away and relax away from the city!

    Maggie2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • This house is very cozy . The beds are very comfortable and the living room is great for relaxing or watching TV. The trip to MT. Snow is about 25 minutes. So we skied and had a great time with the locals . Great experience.

    James2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Kim’s place was great. 30 mins from mount snow and 15 mins from the town. The master bed was super comfy. I also loved that it was dog friendly and she even had bowls for us to use for our pup! Definitely worth the stay!

    Cailin2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Kim's house is cozy, warm, and the perfect backdrop to a stay in the Vermont countryside. Built in the mid-1800s, it has an abundance of old-world charm without sacrificing comfort. I spent a long weekend here with my dog, and found Kim's communication to be helpful without being intrusive, and the place to be exactly as advertised. The fenced in yard off of the porch was perfect for letting my dog out without having to go outside in the cold in the evening. The bed (in the master, at least) was insanely comfortable the shower updated with good water pressure. The home was remarkably clean. Definitely make a point to stay here if you're visiting the area!

    Heather2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Kim’s home is a great getaway. Quiet and peaceful, very cozy!

    Nicholas2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Kim was nice and she gave us good directions to get there. Side fenced yard is perfect if you want to bring a dog it was like being home while we were away. Awesome place 👍🏻

    Robert2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Kim was a fantastic host! She was extremely thorough in all communications and everything was great from the moment we arrived. She sent us a message during the stay to make sure everything was going well, which I thought was really nice! Also, this is a wonderful house for those with dogs (nice fenced in yard that our Maggie enjoyed running around in). Great location for access to ski resorts.

Light, peaceful room with queen bed and shared bath in a blissfully quiet 1820s Vermont farmhouse on a five-acre tree farm with a fresh spring and stream frontage. Beautiful rural setting, yet only a mile to town! Cool off in the stream, enjoy spectacular sunsets from the deck, an evening by the fire pit gazing at the stars, or just watch the trees grow.
We are a Christmas Tree Farm with a large, well maintained, updated farmhouse originally built in the 1820s. The house and barn are powered by solar energy, and the water is provided from a 500 foot deep clean well. We have stream frontage at the bottom of the property which is lovely for sitting or wading on hot days, there is also a fresh spring on the property. Bedding is luxurious 100% linen or 100% cotton percale sheets - your choice! We have down duvets, down pillows, or for those with down allergies, we have down alternative available on request. The bathrooms are stocked with soap, shampoo, and conditioner that are vegan, plant based, and paraben free.

Snow, Bromley, Magic Mountain, 1 hour to Stratton. Biking, Kayaking, Hiking, Swimming all within minutes.
  • Had a great nights sleep. Lisa’s place is gorgeous and comfy and the property is beautiful! We’ll definitely stay again when in the area.

    Melissa2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Lisa's house is very stylish and comfortable, and she is very nice. The kitchen is large with great amenities, and her cat Mochi is very friendly! Fantastic stay for the price.

    Christian2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful, rustic farmhouse with amazing decor! Nice & Clean! In the country on a quiet road, yet only 2-3 minutes to downtown restaurants and route 7/etc, A+ location!! Lisa is very friendly & you will feel warm & welcome here. Just booked my 2nd straight week here as I'm working in nearby Manchester Center, VT M-F. Wi-Fi works great and plenty of TV channels if you want to relax in the living room.

    Aaron2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay if you’re in the Bennington area! Very clean and comfortable.

    Alison2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Lisa is a great host. Her place is beautiful with lots of amenities. She has beautiful, fully stocked kitchen. The plates and mugs are amazing. The house is sparkling clean and is beautifully decorated. Our bedroom was nice and toasty on a cold winter night. And the pillows were really comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and will come back if ever planning a trip to VT.

This is a beautiful brand new passive solar home with all the modern conveniences. It has one of the most fantastic views in southern Vermont. We are close to MASS MOCA, The Clark Institute in Williamstown, MA. We are also only a 30 minute drive from Mt. Snow skiing and snow shoeing. Also close to VAST trails for our snow moiling friends! Private bedroom with adjoining guest bathroom all off the main living area. Kitchen is available for coffee, breakfast and more.
Our guest bedroom has the most incredible views and we have a private guest bathroom (not adjoining), but right next door. Open plan living, dining and kitchen with the amazing view and our master suite is on the other side of the house. Makes the guest bedroom quite private.
There are a few neighbors, but you can't see any of the houses from ours. When you get to our home it feels like we are in nature. One can see the trees from every window.
  • My boyfriend and I visited Vermont to go snowboarding at Mount Snow. While there are much closer rooms for rent near the mountain, we would choose to opt for the longer drive just to be able to stay with Jane and Don again. Their hospitality is unmatched and hanging out with them after a long day on the slopes was the highlight of our trip. The room and location are exactly as described in the listing. The view from the bedroom window is incredible and the house itself is everything you want in a weekend getaway. I cannot recommend this place enough. Jane and Don are truly spectacular hosts who quickly become your best friends and favorite humans. Jane is a total badass (ask her about her car), Don has the best stories and perspective, and Ming (the friendliest dog) has so much love to give. Hands down - favorite Airbnb experience to date.

    Jenn2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Jane and her husband are very welcoming. The place is clean and cozy and full of interesting items they have picked up on their travels. And you can't beat that view. We saw a stunning sunrise our second morning there.

    Dayna2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Jane and Don were phenomenal hosts who made us feel very welcome and comfortable. The room and bath were cozy and clean. The view was stellar!! And what a perfect weekend to be overlooking the colorful valley and hills. Ming the dog is very well behaved and sweet. We would definitely return.

    Julie2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • This place was great! We had our own clean private room and bathroom. Great hosts with accommodating all of our needs. Great view of the outdoor landscape, beautiful sunrise overlooking the mountain tops. Quick commute to Mount Snow (Approx. 30 mins). We would love to come back for a stay in the summer/spring. Great spot for a great price!

    Mitchell2019-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • I had a delightful stay with Jane and Don at Fernwood! If you're looking for a country retreat with easy access to lots of activities, then look no further! And the view from their home is truly sublime.

    Forrest2018-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Jane’s place was a lovely experience! She was very welcoming and kind, and a joy to chat with. The local tips she gave us were also very helpful. The location is great for a nice getaway in the woods, but it is also quite accessible for lots of activities in the surrounding areas - and the view you see in the photos is even better in person! I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again in the future.

    Drew2018-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • This is an absolutely beautiful home in a lovely spot. Jane and her husband are extremely friendly, gracious and helpful. The only thing I would say is that the guest space does not feel very private since it adjoins the main living area. But if that is not an issue for you, I highly recommend a stay here. We had an amazing time.

    Miriam2017-10-22T00:00:00Z

    Adam2019-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed with Ruth for two nights. The location was only 25 min from Mount Snow Ski resort and the mountain view was great. The barn was sparkling clean. Ruth even left snacks in the kitchen. I would highly recommend staying at the barn.

    Cody2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • The Sugar Barn was quaint, clean, and accommodating. Ruth was quick to respond to messages and gave great suggestions for activities in the area. The view from the room was incredible. There were games to play, snacks provided, and helpful maps in the room. Use of the fire pit was a wonderful addition to the experience. Staying in such a nice place definitely amplified the trip to Vermont!

  • Kimber and Tom's place was great! It was the perfect size, clean, and comfortable to be in. They were very good about communication, and even gave recommendations for places to eat in different towns around the house! The instructions for check-in and check-out were very clear and overall we had a great time.

  • Spent New Years in the most wonderful, coziest Cabin up in the mountains! Everything was perfect. From the decorative details to the amazing amenities, not to mention how clean and spotless the place was. Greatest Vermont experience. Thank you Kimber and Tom!

    Gabrielle2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • This was my second time staying here. My sister and I enjoyed it so much last year that we decided to come back! This place is truly unique, very well designed, and has a spectacular view. Very clean, very responsive hosts.

    Erica2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great cabin in the woods. Even better in person than in pictures. Easily sleeps 6, could sleep 8-10! The layout is great for a small group. We loved the outdoor fire pit and indoor fireplace. You’ll need a little extra time for check out, but well worth it to stay in such a beautiful place. Would definitely recommend.

    John2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • A few friends and I stayed at Kimber and Tom's place while attending a music festival in North Adams for the weekend. The house is clean and comfortable. The kitchen is very clean and new -- we cooked breakfast there both mornings and it was great. Make sure to give yourself some time for check out. But it's all laid out and pretty simple.

    Madelyn2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful, well appointed home. The home has been very tastefully renovated and was very clean. Kimber was a responsive host and check in and out were very easy. Stayed here for a work trip and would not hesitate to come again!

  • Chad’s place exceeded all of our expectations. The location was perfect, private enough but not too far from a main road. The property has so much to offer in terms of scenery. The cabin was curated beautifully and we were so excited to see the loft with bean bag chairs. Plenty of space around the house to have some time to yourself and wonderful communal areas for board games and watching the snow fall. Would definitely come back!

    Marlina2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • Roaring Brook Cabin was exceptional it had everything you could want for a weekend away in the woods. You will not regret booking your stay here.

    Robin2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Chad has thought of every detail. From the welcome note to the personalized cookies and luxury bath products, everything exceeded our expectations. The house was impeccably clean and beautifully appointed. Everything was there to cook a meal in the full kitchen, or if you wanted to go out, there were several pamphlets outlining the area. We were a short drive to Mt. Snow for skiing. The beds were incredibly comfortable and plenty of space to feel like we were not right on top of the couple that traveled with us. We loved waking up to the sound of the brook in the morning and sitting on the upstairs patio enjoying our coffee. The Lovesac bean bags were such a treat for reading a book and relaxing. Only giving 5 stars because 6 isn't an option. If you are looking for a quiet, serene getaway, this is it. We hope to visit many more times in the future.

  • Everything about our stay was great. finding the cabin was easier than expected, and as soon as we walked in we where amazed by the amount of detail that every corner of the cabin is decorated with. The kitchen is equiped with everything that you need to cook simple meals, the entire space is super clean, beds are spacious and comfortable, We loved the tv room and the views from the living room. If you get lucky, the perfect location for stargazing. Communication with the hosts was fast and easy, we would definitely stay here again if we ever have the chance.

  • There are not enough stars to rate how perfect the place and our experience there was! The property is gorgeous, cozy, and it exceeded our expectations for comfort. Our hosts are thorough in their explanations, their expectations for our stay, and the best ways to spend time around town. Location-wise we were also quite pleased, the accessible options for sightseeing and for entertainment were quite close. Everything was convenient. We went for a quiet time away and that is exactly what we got. We woke up to falling snow, which was pristine and accumulated throughout the property adding to the appeal of the scenery. The driveway and paths were safe, neatly shoveled, and so well cared for. We imagined that this place is just as stunning in the summer or fall. Small personalized touches around the home welcoming us set the tone right away. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for cooking and lounging around the home. There are warm blankets, amazing giant fluffy seats in the loft area that are unexpectedly comfortable. The whole place is delightful. The decor is warm and elegant throughout. Chad communicated all the necessary instructions from the start. We asked him a follow-up question and he answered quickly. Our phone signal wasn't great there but the Wifi more than made up for it. We didn't watch any TV but that is also available if you want as well as board games and books. In short, we can't wait to go back. Thank you for making your lovely home available to us.

  • Beautiful and stylish cabin in the woods! Has everything you could ever need or want! Quiet and private, while being close to North Adams for fine dining and the enormous Mass MoCA Art museum! Loved the smart lock & WiFi valet (so clever/helpful)! Enormous Love sac beanbag [type] chairs are super fun and wicked comfortable! Stay here, you won’t be disappointed! Our favorite AirBnB to date! Thanks so much Chad & David!

Welcome to our guest suite in the beautiful Northern Berkshires, home to many great cultural venues, including The Clark, Williamstown Theatre Festival and Mass MoCA. The newly updated private suite offers a queen pillow-top mattress, bathroom with stall shower, coffee bar and an outdoor seating area with mountain views. Located in a quiet neighborhood at the base of Mt. Greylock, we are a short walk to a local farm stand, and a few minutes drive to downtown Williamstown and North Adams.
  • We were very pleased with our stay at Dave and Ashley’s. We had done some hiking in the area and we were far enough from home where we made a fun little trip out of it to stay in the area for the night. Very beautifully decorated and comfortable. Great added touches with snacks, coffee, mini fridge, toiletries, TV, and more. Beautiful neighborhood and view of the mountains. Will definitely be back in the future!

  • A really cute place, super-conveniently located to all the great stuff in the Berkshires. It's essentially a detached studio, so while it's a snug space, you still feel you can spread out. Great view of the mountains, and Dave was really sweet to greet us as we were pulling in.

A two level loft apartment walking distance to Shelburne Falls. Private, simple, unique, cute, and efficient. The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet with the notable exception of a nearby train intersection. 4-6 times in a given 24 hour period there'll be a loud train whistle. Please see Covid-19 update in "Other things to note..."
This space is most comfortable for one or two people. There is a spare bed which I will set up upon request so that a third person may be added. The Apartment has an open ceiling in the kitchen area and a winding stair leading to the living and sleeping area. The upstairs has three different levels: one exiting to the back deck, one a reading area, and the third level is the television area. (In the event that the memory foam mattress needs to be set up it will be in the TV area of the apartment.) The Queen size bed is on the floor but from the 1st level height it will feel like a normal height bed. Ceilings are low on the 2nd floor...watch your head... Kitchen is fully equipped with cookware, dishes, etc.... There are some basic food items like olive oil, butter, eggs, 1/2 and 1/2, tea, coffee, cereal/oatmeal, and so on. On the back deck you'll find a small grille and in the tree line I have steel fire ring for an evening fire (wood provided).
Shelburne Falls is a quaint town. There are several restaurants in town and easy access to museums, hiking, mountain biking, etc... There is a laundromat about a 5 minute drive from here and a natural food store the same distance (4 minute drive).
  • Justin was very thoughtful with his communication! He messaged to reassure us that everything would be extra clean amid the Corona virus outbreak. We enjoyed the tips he suggested and I even bought some of the glasses he keeps in the loft from local artists! Thank you for a wonderful stay! Rebecca

  • Wonderful, lovely space for 1-2 people, very clean! Very comfortable! Extra touches of organic food on the shelves and in the refrigerator. Great location - 10 min. walk to downtown.

    Beryl2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time at Justin’s place. We just stayed for the night, but would’ve loved to stay longer. The place is super cozy and cute, close to all the whole spots in town. Justin also provides quite a few food staples which is very generous we made a nice breakfast, and he gave some great advice. good hikes in the area!

    Kim2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I planned a two week snowboarding trip. This was our second stop, and we stayed one night. As home renovators, we loved the design and thoughtful features throughout this little apartment. Nice glassware, an assortment of teas, and coffee are available. The host was quick to respond to my messages. The only negative I would say is the incredibly tiny bathroom sink that was virtually unusable. We used the kitchen sink to brush our teeth and perform our facial hygiene. Also, there is not a washer and dryer present within the apartment (just an FYI).

    Cat2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Terrific overnight stay at Justin's place. Snug, clean, and simple. A perfect spot from which to launch our ski day.

    Janel2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Such an amazing place to stay!

    Joshua2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • The space was very cute. I chose it because I liked the loft and it was exactly what I expected it to be. There was local/organic food in the kitchen area, which was a very thoughtful touch. Justin has snowshoes outside which we did not use but I thought was a cute idea. It is walkable to the downtown area. I would return here for another trip.

    Emily2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing place. Justin truly thought of everything: from food and coffee in the kitchen to extra blankets and pillows in the bedroom. Super cozy, comfy place. Thanks Justin!

Quiet, romantic and funkily unique. Please read all details for listing before booking. It's a one room cabin separate from main house. You have access to our dock for swimming, boating- there is a double kayak for you to use. Please ask if you want to use singles. Beautiful trails and roads for walking, hiking, biking. Wilmington is just 5 minutes away with restaurants, grocery, galleries. West Dover has a movie theater. Great star gazing.
Fun space with great views. Close to lake and trail networks. Bed is eco-friendly and very firm with a 3 inch memory foam topper. The insulated cabin is comfortably heated with propane stove when cold and fans to cool in summer. Outdoor kitchen set up with sink, frig, microwave and propane stove. Propane grill and fire pit on patio can be used. Internet can be spotty- works best on deck or patio. There is an outdoor hot shower or you can use indoor shower on 2nd floor, which are both shared with us. It's a short walk to bathroom in main house, but may not be appropriate for those needing closer access. We do not use it and rarely will anyone else be using that bathroom. We hope to have the incinerating toilet, which is attached to cabin, back up and running in the near future.
The lake is wonderful for swimming, boating and there are many trails and dirt roads for walking, hiking, running or biking. Maps are in studio. Hearing the loons and the owls is a treat. Many activities, festivals in Deerfield Valley year round. Peaceful surroundings and beautiful gardens. Wilmington is only a couple of miles from studio. Movie theater in West Dover (10 min).

Cozy Vermont mini-house Convenient to the Clark Art Institute, Mass MoCA, & Bennington, VT Due to Vermont's COVID-19 State of Emergency Declaration we have suspended operations for the month of April, and cannot accept instant bookings. Please contact me to book. Also, out of state visitors are now required to self-quarantine for two weeks.
Owl Hill House is an organically shaped structure built by a group of sculptors in the early 1980’s and recently renovated by one of its original creators. Its 570 square feet interior is bright, airy and cozy with hand-plastered, sculptural, white walls and custom built-in furniture. It is set in a tranquil clearing surrounded by beautiful trees on a private Vermont dirt road, and is the perfect base for exploring northern Berkshire County’s cultural gems and southern Vermont’s picturesque towns and natural beauty, or to just relax and leave the rectilinear world behind. Location The house is in Pownal, VT and is convenient to The Clark and Williams College (10 minutes), Mass MoCA (20 minutes), and Bennington, VT (10 minutes). The Space There is a main space with a seating area, a sleeping nook with a queen-sized bed, and a kitchen. The bathroom has a shower and a custom-made bench. A small utility room has a washer/dryer. There is high-speed Wi-Fi. The exterior landscaping is still in progress. Owl Hill Road The house is 0.1 miles up a dirt road shared with 4 houses. The road is regularly maintained but can have a few rough spots. In the warm months, it’s fine for any vehicle. In the winter and early spring good snow tires are highly recommended, and All Wheel Drive or 4-Wheel Drive are optimal. After a snowstorm, or in icy conditions, you may have to leave your vehicle at the bottom of the hill and walk up – it's a 4-5 minute walk. Winter in Vermont can often be an adventure! ***** Sorry, no pets. No smoking ***** --------------------------------------------- COFFEE: The house has a coffee grinder, and a French Press. We do not supply coffee beans or tea. --------------------------------------------- PANTRY: We stock the house with salt, pepper, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, flour and sugar.
  • This place was so great. We expected a wizard or a group of dwarves to knock on the door at any moment to invite us on a quest to destroy the One Ring. In the meantime, we made tea, cozied up by the fire and enjoyed the quiet. Will stay here again!

    Sarah2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • This place is so unique and charming! Mark was very helpful with suggestions for activities in the surrounding area and it was just as fun to stay inside this whimsical structure for the weekend. It was SO CLEAN and well maintained. The dirt road was a but muddy and treacherous BUT doable. I recommend this stay to anyone who enjoys peace, simplicity, and nature! One of my favorite stays on this app.🍄

    Jenn2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Mark's place is great. An interesting design which feels large inside. the house is in close proximity to north adams and perfect for anyone visiting mass moca

  • The mushroom house is a marvel: it's exceptionally cozy and warm; it's tucked away high on a hill but is a short drive from Williamstown and North Adams; and it's a great place to see the night sky. Every part of the mushroom house, down to the nice mugs in the kitchen, seems to have been carefully considered. The only negative thing about our stay at the mushroom house was having to leave :). Mark and Rachel were really friendly and accommodating hosts. Thanks to both of you for providing such a unique place to stay!

    Jessica2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • This space is perfect for recharging the soul. Will definitely be returning in the near future.

    Keith2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy and tucked away, but 10 minutes from major gas station/convenience store and 15 from a few great restaurants/markets/coffee shops. The space felt much bigger than its 570 square feet, we even considered entertaining two friends while we were in town. Stocked with some books and games and basics for cooking and cleaning if necessary. Bed is large enough and very comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped with Cuisinart and Le Creuset products, gas stovetop and large sink. The bathroom is spacious and stocked with all necessary basics. Small propane stove kept the place way warmer than you’d expect. Parking for two out front (at least in the winter months). The single best Airbnb stay we’ve had. Weird and beautiful but not gimmicky at all. Mark has thought of everything.

  • Absolutely fantastic place to stay. The house and grounds are beautiful and in a location that perfectly balances privacy and convenience. My bed was incredibly comfortable, and our hostess was kind enough to offer a variety of small breakfast options, tea, and coffee for the morning. Lisa is wonderful to talk to, as well. A perfect stay for an amazing price.

    Skye2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • The place is clean, modern, good quality amenities. Responsive and detailed on instructions. The accommodation is her house the not the barn (listing showed a pic of the barn), and we mistakenly thought that was it! Silly us. We liked the location with small town feel and have great restaurants for dinner!

  • Lisa’s house was wonderful. It is in a convenient location and was super clean and cozy. Our room was gorgeous; one of the pretties Airbnbs I’ve ever been in. 100% recommend!

  • Lisa is amazing!!! Her house and property? Gorgeous! A must stay if available. My son and I came in off a long snowy road trip and booked this rare gem on a whim. Short stay, but ever lasting impressions. Had the best sleep ever! By way of the beautiful house, the top notch amenities, and the genuine friendliness we received from our lovely host (Lisa). This short experience was a breath of fresh air. A unique home away from home... and a coooool cat to go with it! Simply wonderful! Sincerely yours, - Richard

  • Lasse is a super responsive host, easily reached and eager to answer any questions. The photos are accurate, and the cabin is very clean and well equipped. It was a very simple and comfortable stay among the hills. Looking forward to booking a future weekend.

    Susannah2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Lasse’s cabin is beautiful, clean, and peaceful. She was easy to communicate with and had great local recommendations for food and activities. We enjoyed cooking dinner in the cabin, which has a really nice kitchen and all of the tools we needed, and made use of the puzzles and board games. We also checked out a local hike and had lunch in nearby Brattleboro. We visited in March, but this place would be great any time of year with the many hiking and snow sports options!

    Meghan2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at the cabin. Booked the trip for a skiing trip to mount snow which is about 20 minutes away. Cabin is in a very remote area, the driveway very steep and dirt so having four wheel drive to get up the road is probably in your best interest. It only has one bathroom though so to sleep 6 people it was a little tight to share that with everyone. Other than that the views were amazing and it was the perfect spot!

    Lauren2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Lasse’s cabin is beautiful. No detail left untouched. We had a very relaxing, peaceful stay. Can’t wait to visit again!

    Elizabeth2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second stay at Lasse's cabin and once again we had an amazing time. We came up to VT for a weekend of snowboarding at Mount Snow (only 20min away) but decided to spend Saturday lounging around the cabin because it's just that nice. Great views, spectacular property, we can't wait to be back later this year.

  • Incredibly beautiful! Pictures can’t even do this place justice. Insanely nice view, modern design and appliances, very quiet and isolated. Breathtaking.

    Andy2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Lasse’s place is even more spectacular than the pictures. The only downside was we couldn’t stay longer! The cabin itself is incredibly clean, well decorated and has everything you could ever need - from kitchen utensils, to games, puzzles and books. The biggest selling point of this place though is the incredible views over the river that can be seen from virtually every part of the cabin. It’s also well situated to several good restaurants and activities. Lasse went above in beyond in terms of communication and recommendations for our stay. We’ll definitely be returning!

    Emily2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Lasse's beautiful cabin. From the amazing views of the mountains to the spacious, clean kitchen. We had a great time skiing nearby and coming home to the cozy cabin. Thank you for a lovely weekend Lasse!

This is a private room with a shared bath. There is a cozy full sized bed. It is conveniently located just 2.5 miles from Mount Snow Ski resort. I’m in the middle of some remodeling and will have a new listing up soon, expect to be up and running for the Christmas season!
  • Wonderful host. We traded a lot of stories back and forth. Super location for Mt Snow.

    David2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Skip’s is one of the best places I have stayed. He is a really nice man. Had so many lovely conversations with him. The room is very cozy and clean, as is the bathroom. The whole house is just adorable and quaint. Easy to find, just make sure your gps doesn’t send you backroads. If you take rt. 100 most of the way it will get you closer and faster than the dirt roads. Only about 7 minutes from Mt. Snow and about 5 minutes from a bunch of places to eat in Dover. Highly recommend this place.

    Saoirse2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • He is a good host and very friendly I will go back agin .Good time thank you for the hospitality.

  • Was great, thank you skip!

    Emeline2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I unfortunately got a flat tire on the NJ turnpike and were unable to get to Skips place. We stayed there the year prior and had a wonderful time. We plan to try and make the trip again next year!

    Andres2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second stay at Skip's place. Just as good as the first one, and we will come back for sure. One thing that I forgot to include in the other review was that there are plenty of hangers and hooks to hang your ski or snowboard clothing to dry before the next morning. Already looking forward to coming back here!

    Denis2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Skip's place is a classic ski town home. High ceilings make the place spacious. He is very friendly and allows you to make yourself at home. The bed is very comfortable and the comforter is soft. Skip lives there, year round. So he can point you in the right direction of things happening in town. Live music and food going on, etc. To no fault of Skip's, my trip was cut short by illness, which is a shame because I was looking forward to hitting the slopes of Mt Snow.

  • Rosalind's place is great! Super homey, warm, and welcoming. We loved the dogs who welcome you and the great location near Mount Snow and Stratton. Would love to return when the front door's lock is replaced!

  • Rosalind’s place is beautiful! The apartment was perfect, and we especially loved the luxurious king bed :) Rosalind was great. We would definitely come back!

    Britta2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • I booked Rosalind’s barn cabin for a little under a week, and my dog Brewster and I had a great stay filled with hiking and snowboarding, the dog only participating in the former. The cabin is private and the welcoming landscape accompanied the living space. Just as welcoming were Rosalind and Robert and their dogs who greeted with tails wagging. We did a few cool walks. The walk through Newfane town and up to the cemetary, through the stone wall, and around the pond was very scenic, and i’m happy i got to see all of it. We also did a hike in Townshend State Park, along the snowy trail which ran beside the creek. A sight to behold. Just above the state park there is a Jamaican food truck in the parking lot of a glass art gallery. I had some delightful jerk 🐔 there. Stratton is a great mountain resort for 🎿/🏂 and has a superb village and some of Vermont's nicest runs, at least in my somewhat limited experience. Can’t go wrong with this cabin 👌🏻

    Christopher2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Quiet, comfortable place to stay. Fully stocked kitchen for cooking, large comfortable bed and bedroom. Very much appreciate being able to bring my dog! Rosalind and her friendly dogs gave us a warm welcome when we arrived.

  • Close proximity to the ski resorts we were interested in and perfect for a long weekend get away! Rosalind is a great host and the space provided all the amenities we needed after a long day on the slopes.

    Melissa2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Had a lovely relaxing stay in Rosalind's refurbished barn! Would book again.

    Zoárd2020-02-26T00:00:00Z

Proximity to cross country and down hill skiing. Owner lives on property in main house. I have a very friendly dog named Lulu and cows and sheep that are grazing in the pastures.
Bathroom is private, spacious and downstairs from the apartment.
Outdoor winter activities that are close, accessible and inexpensive are hiking, cross country or downhill skiing. Good restaurants in the area.Everything from local breakfast place called Linda's to upscale dining at Mezze in Williamstown. Great new local bar, the HiLo has live music every night.
  • This apartment was clean, tidy, and had a cute atmosphere! We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay for our trip to Mount Snow. It was only a 30 minute drive to the mountain, so a great option for us. Carolyn was kind and helpful and gave us a great recommendation for where to go for dinner! We will definitely be returning.

    Laura2020-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • This property is in a great location. We were able to explore several places in Vermont and the Berkshires. Caroline was helpful, and very kind. Her property is beautiful and we enjoyed looking at the brook and farm animals. The loft is pretty basic, but Caroline quickly provided anything else we needed (extra utensils, dishes, etc.). Her dog is very sweet and got along great with our pup as well.

    Megan2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great location, right between the Berkshires of Massachusetts and the Green Mountains of Vermont. The loft was cozy, right on a small farm surrounded by beautiful scenery. The space included a kitchen and a full bath, it was perfect for a quiet getaway in Southern Vermont.

Welcome to the historic Pollard House, circa 1890! We offer a private, one bedroom apartment within our home that is cozy, clean, comfortable with it own private entrance/sunroom . Downtown North Adams with its shops and restaurants and Mass MoCA are a short (10-15 minutes) walk down the hill. MCLA is even closer. Williamstown and Williams College are a 10-minute drive. We are happy to welcome guests of all races, religions, genders, and ethnicities. We look forward to your visit!
The apartment has a private access through a sun porch. It features a kitchen, bathroom, dining room, bedroom, and sitting room with pull-out sofa. We recently bought the house and have updated and painted to give the space a clean, airy feel. Situated in the rear of the house, off the street, the apartment is quiet and has views of the hills.
We live in a residential neighborhood on a typical, hilly North Adams street. We are about a 10-minute walk to downtown and another 5 minutes to Mass MoCA. Windsor Lake is a mile away where you can swim, kayak, and hike. Lots of great hiking can be had on Mount Greylock, which you can see from the house, and can be accessed by car in 10 minutes.
  • A+ would stay again

  • This is an amazing place to stay in the most beautiful location. Our stay was very short and we couldn’t really check out the amenities but we would highly recommend it. We had some problems finding it but that was due to poor road signage and having new GPS at night. Nevertheless, Amy did her best to help us out.

  • This cottage on the lake is simply adorable!!! It exceeded our expectations and we wished that we were staying longer than one night. The house is decorated impeccably and is sparkly clean. My personal highlight was taking the kayak out on the lake early in the morning - so peaceful!!

  • Amy has the most amazing cottage right on the lake. It's so serene and it's just lovely!! Believe me, you will not be disappointed. It was just fabulous to come home to a nice simple home and kick back after being on the road all day. We especially enjoyed watching the moon rise over the lake ...love, love!

Welcome to the Tiny Art House! With a covered porch nearly as big as the house itself, there's plenty of room and a pleasing view of white pines and field grasses. It has a sleeping loft with a queen-sized bed and 2 extra twin mattresses. We offer one free one-time spa pass for quests book at least 2 nights (hot tub, salt water pool, gym, sauna, steam room and shower). Additional passes are $15 and do not have to be purchased ahead of time. Please read the full description of the space.
The Tiny Art House has a composting toilet, gas stove and oven, coffee maker, toaster, and simple cooking supplies. Spring water for drinking and light clean up is provided but there is no hot or running water (you can heat water on the gas stove). Tiny Art House is a ten-minute walk from the West River where you can walk or bike the 8 miles of trail along the river. You can take the 45 minute walk on the trail or drive 10 minutes to downtown Brattleboro where you'll find eateries, breweries, a movie theater, bowling, art museum and galleries, local shopping, book stores, hiking trails, and tubing and canoe/kayak rentals. There are also some great swimming spots on the West River.
The Tiny Art House is located two miles from the exit 3 rotary on route I-91. Most of the two miles are dirt roads. There are six other homes on our dead end road (Fox Farm) with lots of fields and woods in between.
  • Had an amazing time here! Ending up going by myself and it was a perfect peaceful retreat to relax, read, and keep things simple. The downtown area is close and has a lot of nice stores and restaurants. Honestly, wasn’t sure how the toilet worked but I managed and the bed was so comfortable!

    Lauren2020-03-14T00:00:00Z

  • We had a great night at Chuck’s place. Everything was clean, cozy, and easy going, and felt totally comfortable and private despite being on a property so near other homes.

    Amy2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Fun space. The bed was comfortable and the house was delightfully warm. The stars were gorgeous from the porch.

    Michael2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely getaway for a weekend or more! We enjoyed being close to nature along West River and downtown Brattleboro.

    Andrew2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Pretty good place. If you don’t want a typical motel in the Brattleboro area, this cute and cozy mini cabin will do the trick. It could use a little work on the craftsmanship (walls need extra reinforcing, painting) and the door should be able to be locked from the outside. I’d also add that you should definitely make sure You have a 4WD or AWD car if you’re staying here. The dirt road leading up to it is quite muddy and difficult to navigate if you don’t have a capable car. Other than that I wish there was running water and a fireplace, but since Chuck was upfront about that stuff, this place met my expectations. I don’t recommend this place for someone over 6 feet tall and over 250 pounds.

    Anour2020-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • Chuck provided us with an unforgettable stay; his Tiny Art House is so perfectly cozy and comforting, especially for watching the snow fall on a Winter’s night. The place was warm and inviting upon first entering, and kept it’s homey feel while still feeling like a retreat in the woods. I cannot recommend it enough, and I look forward to coming back and making more memories!

    Kendra2020-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • Chuck's TAH was the greatest answer to our need of a "do nothing and relax" getaway. There is plenty to do in the surrounding area, and Brattleboro was the best to wander and explore. But don't let the size of this little cabin fool you-- it is well beyond comfortable to just hang around and play cards in! The porch was even wonderful to sit out on while it snowed, wrapped up in a blanket. Our stay was beyond our expectations; we even got to buy some of Chuck's art to take home with us! This is an experience you will not regret, and one we plan on reliving many more times!

  • Beautiful small cabin with nice views, amazing host who was always available if anything was to be needed. The place was SPOTLESS, I'm talking not even a hair anywhere to be seen. Perfect spot for a getaway into the woods of western mass, privacy and quiet surroundings. I will stay again if I am in the area again. Thanks so much Harold!

    Matthew2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice and super clean!

    Jackie2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Harold was very responsive and accommodating. This was a great place to stay and we will definitely be back!

    Shannan2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Second visit was even better then the first(which was wonderful), as we were right at home. Harold was attentive to have everything ready for us and we enjoyed every minute. From the beautiful sunsets to the cozy evenings with tea and puzzles, it was everything we needed. We will be back again, soon!

    Emily2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Dazzlingly clean and very warm and cozy! The interior was absolutely beautiful, we hope to return in the future!

    Jack2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Everything as expected, great spot if you're planning on going to Berkshire East.

    Maria2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • This is the perfect cabin for a getaway! Even way better in person. The cabin has everything you need including a fully equipped kitchen. Not too far from Berkshire East Ski Resort if you’re into winter sports. Would definitely stay here again.

    Red2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at "the camp" was a fantastic experience! Everything was clean and well maintained. The pictures do not do it justice. Harold and Diane were very easy to reach in the case of questions and left a list of recommendations in the local area. There is very little to no cell service so it was great to disconnect, however there is WiFi. The full kitchen was so convenient to make a meal in without having to leave the cabin to travel to get dinner. We can't wait to come back in the fall!

The Readsboro Inn is a 7 room inn with 2 shared bathrooms. Restaurant and bar are just downstairs with great local food, craft beer, wine and cocktails.
  • Another great weekend at Cassie’s inn- totally recommended!

  • Clean, comfortable and very friendly staff

  • We were looking for a room to stay in for one night in between hiking days and Casey's place was exactly what we were looking for. We had dinner and drinks in the restaurant, which had excellent food. The shared bathrooms worked out just fine for us. An added bonus was a keurig in a shared space, so we got to have morning coffee. At night we could hear some people outside after they left the restaurant/bar, but we were not disturbed by it. Would stay here again!

    Amy2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • A fun and very friendly atmosphere in this amazing place!

    Simon2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Casey came to personally greet us and take us to our room. We felt it was small and a little too warm, but Casey unhesitatingly offered us a slightly bigger room, #6, much cooler, with two windows and a fan. Casey offered local tips on activities, kayak rentals (also call Equipe Sports near the marina to compare prices). Casey provided tons of clean-smelling, soft and fluffy towels, a Keurig for coffee, microwave and fridge. We felt right at home. The hotel is at an intersection, but not much traffic. Great location if your looking to stop somewhere clean and affordable for a couple of nights. We had a great view of a tall mountain across the street. The locals at the bar are friendly to visitors passing through.

  • Friendly hosts; convenient location; comfort room. A great value.

Drift off to the sound a a babbling brook outside the bay window in this cozy country cottage. Take a hike in a protected forest right outside your door or head to downtown Williamstown and North Adams for amazing museums, theaters, dance, music, and restaurants.
There is a parking space at the end of the driveway near the cottage marked by a red wagon. A stone path leads to the cottage from the space. Please don't park on the lawn near the cottage as that could damage the septic tank. The cottage is best for a maximum of two adults or two adults and one child. There is a queen bed on the first floor and bathroom with small stall shower. There is a loft (open to the downstairs) accessible by ladder/stair with a twin bed in it. The loft is not suitable for young children and because of the size of the cottage and the configuration of the ladder, the space is too small for three adults, especially for multiple nights. The loft is not a separate room so the space is not conducive to travelers who want privacy from those they are traveling with. There is no freezer. If you need ice, please let us know and we are happy to provide it. We provide mugs, coffee, tea, and sugar but you will need to BYO milk or cream if you want it. We ask you not to smoke in the house or anywhere on the property. We supply shampoo and conditioner and there is a blow dryer in the top of the closet. There are window coverings for privacy but no room darkening shades and two large windows are uncovered. If you need a dark space for sleeping, we recommend you bring an eye mask. We leave the cottage unlocked. There is a key hanging on the hook near the door if you feel the need to lock when you go out. If you do use the key please make sure to leave it. There is a $100 charge for a missing key.
Our neighborhood feels like the country but you are only about 1.5 miles from downtown Williamstown. Our property backs up to the Mountain Meadow, a Trustees of the Reservations property.
  • The sweet brookside cottage is a lovely experience if you are looking for a peaceful getaway. Lots of great hiking without having to drive! We plan on returning many more times.

  • Awesome place. Such a cozy cottage with the amazing view. Great place for a getaway from the city!

    Jack2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy, charming.

    Lara2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This was our 2nd time staying here, it was just as great as the first time!

    Christopher2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The Brookside Cottage is more cozy and charming in person and well worth a visit! Convenient location to explore North Adams and the surrounding area. All the amenities you need. Self-sufficient check in/check out. Katherine provided a well thought out range of local suggestions, which was much appreciated. We went to two of them--Chef's Hat and a hipster American food place that I can't remember the name of. Both were great!

    Liz2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Katherine's cabin was so charming -- just what we wanted for a weekend getaway! Very warm in the winter snow with such a beautiful view and nice trails behind, even in the winter. would stay here again!

    Virginia2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful view, charming cottage; perfect for a romantic getaway.

    Arthur2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage is absolutely charming and magical. It's a very special location with big picture windows overlooking a babbling stream with a little wooden suspension bridge and beautiful river rocks. Inside is charming and cozy with everything we needed for an overnight. Absolutely love this place.

As a woman traveling alone I felt safe and Cathy made it clear that she was accessible 24/7. I would highly recommend this apartment for anyone looking for a home away from home.

    Jolie2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Annie’s Place was fantastic! The place was very clean, modern, had everything we needed to feel at home, and was an easy walk to all the local shops and restaurants! Cathy was very accommodating and quick to respond during the check-in and check-out process. I 100% recommend a stay here!

  • a peaceful serene place, so quiet and comfortable, even has ability to play CDs which most places to my understanding do not have.......it is really lovely and special staying at Annies Place.....Named after Cathy's late mother in law, I believe that the real Annie would have been beyond proud of how the space is being utilized at this time...Enjoy!!!!

    Rosie2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Don't miss out! Annie's Place is perfect!! Right across the street from the river and the bridge of flowers is visible from the home.

  • Jody’s cabin was perfect for a large group to spend a cozy and casual weekend. Mount Snow is located close by but the cabin itself feels secluded and special. Perfect for curling up by the fireplace with a good book!

    Di2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Highly Recommend Perfect area for leaf peeping in the fall. Less than an hour away from Mt Greylock (tallest peak in MA). Jody was quick to respond. The cabin seemed new and is kept very clean. The fire pit, gas wood stove, and Roku made it easy for the family to relax and enjoy each others’ company.

    Luis2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • As described in listing. This place is clearly in a winter recreation area. Despite the extremely hot weekend we happened to have booked, it was very comfortable and well suited for a summer getaway.

    Becky2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Quiet, secluded and comfortable. Easily sleeps 10, only 15 miles from Mt. Snow, a perfect place to rest after a hard day of skiing or sledding.

My sunny, comfortable guest apartment is located on the 2nd floor of a Victorian house in the Cady Hill Historic District, one of the oldest neighborhoods in North Adams. It has a private entrance. Off-street parking is available for one vehicle. Free, wifi/wireless access is included. The apartment is quiet and modern. There is a small sitting room off of the entry hall that that is perfect for two. The full kitchen has new appliances (range/oven; refrigerator; microwave), a tea kettle and coffee maker, a table and chairs, and cupboards stocked with essentials for light cooking (dishes, flatware, etc.). The bedroom has a queen bed, a bookcase and easy chair. There is a full bath with a tub and shower next to the bedroom. I provide sheets, blankets, bath towels and kitchen towels. The house is close to MASS MoCA (ten minute walk), MCLA (five minute walk), and just a few blocks away from downtown coffee shops and restaurants. Natural Bridge State Park and Windsor Lake are a five minute drive away. Williams College, Clark Art Institute, WCMA and the Williamstown Theatre Festival are accessible by car (fifteen minutes).
  • Diane's apartment is quaint, spacious, and clean. She was very hospitable and the apartment contained thoughtful touches like an array of tea, books, and card games. The location is very close to downtown North Adams (less than 5 mins to Mass MoCA) and she provides a list of places to eat/drink/visit that helps tremendously when first visiting the area. We had a wonderful 2 night stay and will likely stay here if we visit the area again!

    Darby2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Our visit to Diane’s place was outstanding. The space is beautiful, views of the Berkshires from each window! There was plenty of space and many feel-good touches like great books, miniature animal decorations and fresh spring water in the fridge. We loved our stay, and we will be back!

    Jocelynn2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
