The large deck offers a 180+ degree view of Fairview Peak and the Continental Divide and is enjoyable throughout the year. There are big, sunny windows with window seating and it is warm and comfortable all of the year. The house has a full bathroom and is stocked with linens and towels (no housekeeping - guests must leave cabin kitchen clean). It is a short drive in the summer (AWD or 4WD) and a short, pleasant snowmobile ride, snow bike or ski in winter.
This cabin is awesome for summer AND winter recreation - ride, hike, snowmobile, snow bike, ski, snowshoe right from the house! Warm and cozy with a big deck and a woodstove that rocks! In the winter the house is accessible by snowmobile, snow bike, snowshoeing or skiing ONLY (an easy 1.3 mile trip on snow-cat-packed roads). Ask about a snowmobile shuttle for your gear in and out at the beginning and end of your winter stay if you are not using your own snowmobiles to access the cabin.
  • The cabin is nestled up in the mountain, very remote. There are a lot os stairs to climb so keep that in mind. Extremely peaceful location and perfect for riding the trails if that is what’s on your agenda. Pitkin has a wonderful convenience store for fuel and groceries- great people!

    Sheila2019-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great communication with Catherine, nice setting, the road can be a bit challenging when wet or snowy ( would recommend 4x4 not AWD). Great deck for sitting, reading, and sipping a beverage. Nice wood burning fire barrel to stay toasty.

  • Great cabin in the mountains! If you’re traveling to ride the trails, this is a great spot to stay with easy access to many trails.

  • We loved this cabin. It is awesome. The river is right there close and you can hear it if you open the window. Puts you right to sleep. The photos don't do this place justice. I was kind of surprised how nice it was when I walked in.

  • The cabin and the location are superb! Probably the best creekside lot in Pitkin. Tastefully decorated after a recent remodel, the hosts pretty much thought of everything. We chose Pitkin so we're could ride our SxS RZR from the house which worked out great. The hosts were very responsive during the booking process.

  • Great place. Normally I’m not a fan of staying with people, I prefer having a place to myself, but they were great. I loved spending time talking to them and their dogs and cat. If there was anything I needed to know from places to go to ski tips they were right on top of it.

  • You would be a total fool not to stay with Kate in CB. We got SO SO lucky that we chose to stay with Kate. She is the best host we’ve ever stayed with. She was chill, super kind, generous and easy to get along with. The only thing I wish was different was that we could stay another 2 weeks with Kate. You will not regret staying at her place.

Grown-Up Getaway! 2 historic, rustic western cabins for the price of one called Wise Acre-Nestled in trees, along a river in the heart of the Colorado Rockies. Hiking, biking, great restaurants. We offer Wild Love Adventure Elopement packages with ordained minister, wise help to create your unique commitment ceremony, spectacular location video, photos, honeymoon & much more!! Your own cozy, vintage boho log studio PLUS Glamping in our historic cowboy cabin for a creative retreat or honeymoon.
Wise Acre is better than glamping-- a RUSTIC, artfully funky, very LOCAL, whimsical compound of cabins and cottages. You will have access to TWO guesthouses for the PRICE of One--the attached, though separate, Living Studio and the rugged historic, separate Writers' Cabin. Remember sleep-away camp?: campfires, s'mores, fishing poles, snuggly, vintage tartan blankets, log cabin nights, great old books, Nat Geo magazines, board games, rushing streams, wildflower picnics, brilliant stars? That's Wise Acre, capturing 100 years of great American camp memories! Always mountain cool, shady and quiet, surrounded by stream and river, Wise Acre is an oasis in the high country of the West and Southwest. And, like Sleep-away camp, if you choose to sleep in the historic Writers' Cabin, you will follow a 100-foot driveway to the en suite bathroom shared with your 2nd guest house, the Living Studio. The "Heidi Loft" or traditional homesteaders' cabin loft in the rafters above the woodburning stove is accessed by a kiva ladder made of very sturdy pine tree trunks. It is not recommended for children under the age of 9 or those with mobility issues. Wise Acre has long been known as a spiritual sanctuary, International WildFlower Festival site and celebration center to people throughout the valley and beyond. Hosts Marcie Telander and Mark Schwiesow are well-established elders of the extended Valley, having been named "Valley Treasures" by the Crested Butte International Wildflower Festival. We are grateful and honored to be community organizers, festivarians, writers and Earth-Justice advocates. Originally Midwesterners from Chicago, we were seeking to create a forward-thinking arts and writing compound. We came to Crested Butte and founded Wise Acre as eco-journalists, filmmakers and photographers--over 40 years ago. ***For more information and a wild and wonderful visual journey through our unique community, we would be honored if you viewed Marcie Telander's TEDXTalk including years of local history, tradition and ecological activism: "TRANSFORMING COMMUNITY: Celebrating Stories and Spirit of Place." You can also read about our move to the valley, being enriched by Wise Acre and the 42 years through which we have offered, and continue to offer our services as preservers and protectors of our environment and wildly unique MoBoho (Mountain Bohemian) Community. Check Amazon for Marcie's essay and poetry in the award-winning collection: RITUAL AND HEALING: Stories of Ordinary and Extraordinary Transformation. Guests have access to the private fishing in our back yard, walking our labyrinth, bonfires in the fire-pit, the Writing Cabin and the Studio Living Space. There are also hammocks in the woodlands along our stream and the banks of the East River. Wise Acre is 420 Friendly with smoking OUTSIDE ONLY--if there are no fire and drought restrictions in place in the valley.
This neighborhood is surrounded by gorgeous old spruce and cottonwood trees. This is a secret island in lush wetlands and beaver ponds. Wise Acre is the first cabin built in the neighborhood, created as a hunting-fishing camp for an early homesteading ranch family. It is full of wildlife, bird life, trout and beloved green gardens. Our neighborhood is a location known for eclectic, caring folks from around the country. Many of the locals have been in this unique, and quiet riparian location for decades. Around here we like to use the word "neighboring" as a verb.
  • Wise Acre is a most unique place to stay. It gives good feel for the local vibe there. If you are looking for a eclectic, funky type of place to stay near Crested Butte then this may be just for you. The owners were very accommodating. The spaces aren’t huge but are comfortable. Their wooded yard is a great spot to sit and take in the surroundings. A river runs through their backyard and the sounds are very relaxing. Wish my stay could have been longer.

  • My husband and I absolutely loved this cottage and property. Very romantic, charming and artistic. The hosts are welcoming and very interesting people. They obviously love sharing their place with guests from all over the world. The two living spaces are each charming in their own right but not as close to one another as we expected. the studio was clean and very well-equipped. Sitting by the river with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine was a highlight of our time there. Mark, one of the hosts, made us blueberry, oatmeal walnut cookies and they were wonderful. We would definitely stay here again.

    Beth2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Mark and Marcie win the award for the most extraordinary Airbnb hosts! They met me when I arrived and gave me a tour of their beautiful property and quaint cabin. Everything was there that I needed and they provided some delicious snacks and local coffee! After a hike, they even left some homemade organic cookies on the steps, and they were so delicious! They even invited me one night for wine and to spend time with friends. I was there for work, but the night I spent with them and their friends was outstanding! Great weather spending time with amazing people. Marcie and Mark provided maps and suggestions to make the most of my limited free time. I am so grateful for their hospitality. They went above and beyond and made my trip even more special.

    Chelsea2019-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful place! Mark and Marcie go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable. The cabins and grounds are whimsical and fun. Would definitely stay here again.

    Laura2019-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Marcie's and Mark was resourceful, quiet, calm, gorgeous... The house is by the river which give a lot to think and meditate to enjoy a delightful stay. It's perfect for a couple seeking for relaxation, with a gorgeous garden and located just 10 min from the center of Crested Butte! We wish we could come back! Amazing place

    Julie2019-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • Mark and Marcie were outstanding. Really amazing people. We will definitely recommend them (and already have) to our friends. Their place is so unique that I will not try to describe it here. Check it out, it is a great place to relax and get away from the tourists.

  • Rick and Patri are the best hosts, the cabin is beautiful and extremely clean, we seriously couldn’t believe so many people have visited the cabin since it’s in such great condition.. all we needed to bring were some groceries and our bodies.. the cabin is well stocked with everything needed to feel at home.. Rick and Patri were so kind to us and made us feel so welcomed.. we can’t wait to return!

    Joann2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • BEST AIRBNB EVER! Our family enjoyed our 5 day vacation at Rick’s place. It was perfect for us. Not too close and not too far from the hustle and bustle of the city. So clean and cozy, too! And the hospitality was unmatched.

    Kimberly2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • Rick and Patri were wonderful hosts. They greeted us as we pulled up and were very attentive to our needs. They are hands-on with the whole process and really nice to work with. Rick responded to questions really quickly. The cabin and the property were beautiful, spacious and incredibly clean and comfortable. Also, they gave us some banana bread they had made that was incredibly good. :-)

    Travis2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • This place was an unrivaled Airbnb. I have never had a better time or interactions with hosts. Rick and Patri were two of the nicest people I have ever met. They were so generous and accommodating. They were willing to go so far above and beyond, it made a truly amazing get away. I can't emphasize enough- if you're even thinking about staying here, do it. You will not regret it.

    Paul2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • I had the opportunity to stay at Rick's cabin during our family vacation in Ohio City and could not be happier. We came with a crew of 4 parents, 3 young kids, and 2 grandparents, and had plenty of space for sleeping, eating, and relaxing. Rick's cabin was spotless and perfectly arranged with every creature comfort we could want. His communication was excellent, messaging and calling me several times to set up the cabin perfectly for us before we arrived (including bringing over a high chair and pack-and-play for my infant son) He really went above and beyond to make our stay amazing and that was truly a blessing after 5-7hr drive from Denver in the rain, mountain pass roads, no cell service, and kids complaining the whole way! Internet/TV at the cabin was also excellent and a good substitute for not having cell coverage. He even proactively lowered the price of our rental by a little to be in-line with his other scheduled rentals. Seriously, who does that? I wouldn't hesitate to stay at Rick's cabin again in the future if we ever do find ourselves by Ohio City/Pitkin/Gunnison.

    Shiann2019-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful cabin in an excellent location. We had more than enough room for our 6 travelers and had everything we needed in the cabin and then some. Highly recommend Rick's place and can't wait to come back.

    Kelly2019-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • My family had the best time here! So beautiful. So serene. Rick & Patri are excellent hosts. The cabin was perfect, so clean & loaded with all the amenities. If you forgot it (which I did), they have it! We will definitely be back again in the future.

    Ann2019-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin was extremely nice and clean. Rick and Patri have thought of all possible amenities. The cabin is fairly remote, so this thoughtfulness was much appreciated! The space was perfect for our family of four. (two teenagers). We loved the bedroom layouts and the gas stove. It felt so cozy! We hope to visit again soon.

Come experience the Freedom of the Hills. You'll love staying in this charming and quaint home. Enjoy being nestled in the mountains, yet conveniently close to both Crested Butte and Gunnison. Experience the best of what Colorado has to offer; fish, boat, bike, and off-road within moments of walking out the door. Ski the epic powder at Mt. Crested Butte in the winter, hike and enjoy the wildflowers in the summer or just hang out in the yard and relax in the hot tub. Our place has got it all!
Our sweet little home is in Taylor Canyon, just North of Almont, CO on Highway 742. Located near the confluence of Spring Creek and the Taylor River, our place sits on 2.5 acres of land in one of most picturesque areas of Colorado. Highway 742 sees very little action during the wintertime months, but can be on the busy side of things during the summer. Its convenience allows you to easily access all the best attractions of the area. In the summertime, Gunnison and Crested Butte are only a 25 minute drive away and both of these places boast excellent recreational, dining and shopping opportunities. During the winter time, driving is slower and some of the short cut roads to Crested Butte are closed. So, expect the drive to CB to be more like a 40 minute trip through magical scenery. It's up to you to choose your own adventure and then retreat to a peaceful and cozy home. You'll have the entire home to yourself. This home was built six years ago and has all new furnishings. The upstairs bedroom has beautiful views of the craggy rock outcroppings that line the property. This bedroom boasts a full bath with a double headed shower for a unique bathing experience! The kitchen is stocked with all the amenities you'll need to cook a delicious meal. Amenities for cooking include: small toaster oven, regular size oven for baking, french press, coffee grinder, large fridge with freezer, tea kettle and outdoor propane grill with grilling utensils. The kitchen is also a comfortable space for several guests to hang out as we've added a love-seat big enough for two. When you choose to head downstairs to play games, watch tv or just relax, the garage space is currently set up as a bedroom and a fully furnished family room as well. This room has a sleeper sofa, coffee table, television (no cable so bring DVDs, blue-ray disks, or connect your own device with our HDMI cord) bookshelf with games and a bunkbed for extra guests or kids to sleep. This room is a garage without windows, however, paper star lanterns, cozy lighting and in-floor radiant heat create a warming ambiance. A laundry room with a half bath is also located downstairs. Out the back bedroom door is a bonus room that leads to the backyard and hot tub. You'll love spending time in our backyard! Enjoy a hot-tub soak on the patio or play yard games while you grill. The mature trees are great for shady lounging next to the creek that runs through the property. In the summer, sit on the upstairs deck and sip a drink while enjoying the mountain views. The possibilities are endless here at Freedom of the Hills.
Our house is about 7 miles up Taylor Canyon and 17 miles from Gunnison and Crested Butte. The Taylor Canyon is popular area for outdoor enthusiasts and has many river access points and campgrounds. This area has, arguably, the most accessible and best fishing in Colorado. Spring Creek is full of Brooky's and Rainbows. Kokanee Salmon and other species can be fished in Blue Mesa Reservoir. Taylor Reservoir and Spring Creek Reservoir are only 20 minutes up the road. The Taylor River has both huge trophy trout as well as exciting whitewater for those who like to raft or kayak. Doctor's Park loop, a world class mountain biking trail, can be ridden right from the house. The first buttress in Taylor Canyon has over 100 routes and is only a quarter mile from the house for those who like to climb. In the winter, back-country skiers and snowmobilers can access hundreds of acres of National Forest. Keep your eyes peeled for eagles, bighorn sheep, ermine, mountain goats, showshoe hare, elk, moose, deer and many other animals that call this area home. You won't have to venture far to see why this area is so special.
  • We so loved this place! Super cute space. Beautiful structure inside. So relaxing in the beautiful backyard. Enjoyed the hot tub multiple times!

  • Beautiful cabin in a picturesque location!

    William2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • This house exceeded all expectations! The place is very charming and the hosts were great about giving detailed instructions as well as tips while we stayed there. Crested Butte was an easy drive where we enjoyed skiing and dining. Whoever does their cleaning in between guests is phenomenal, the sheets were fresh and smelled great, not a speck of dirt to be found. We cooked dinner the second night and the kitchen had everything we needed. Our favorite part was enjoying our morning coffee overlooking the great view and of course, watching the stars at night while relaxing in the hot tub. We stayed during the winter but would love to come back during the summer!

    Jeff2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you so much for the amazing memories at your place! The view, the hottub, the peacefulness that came with the cabin was incredible! We couldn’t have asked for anything different. Thanks so much again! Hoping we can try the place again in the summertime!

  • Andrew is a fantastic host! The place was spotless and my personal area very private. The private walkout deck was a bonus. I had to modify some of my travel plans and he took the initiative to accommodate me even though he didn’t have to. I would definitely recommend staying at Andrew’s!!

    Will2019-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing stay at Andrew’s place over the July 4th holiday. Beautiful views off our private deck, private bathroom, bedroom and living room, access to kitchen and very comfortable bed👍 As someone already said, Andrew is on top floor, shared space on ground level, and your own space on lower level. Great hospitality-Andrew gave us tips on where to go in Crested Butte South, shared info on the free bus system which we used to get into CB and onto CB mountain, and shared his fresh eggs and coffee. We loved staying in a quieter local rather than a condo on the mountain- much more relaxing but with easy access to both CB and Gunnison. We didn’t want to leave! Will definitely book Andrew’s home anytime we are in CB.

  • Andrew's Airbnb is a great value and a great spot if you're skiing Crested Butte. The room itself is very large with its own balcony that has a beautiful view of the mountains. The private bathroom is attached to the bedroom. You basically have the whole downstairs: a living room, the bathroom and the bedroom. We cooked in the kitchen and Andrew had everything you need.

Wood burning fireplace in living room; large deck with hot tub and BBQ grill. Close to free bus that will take you into Crested Butte (10 min) or Crested Butte Mountain Resort (15 min) for world-class skiing! Will add more winter pictures next winter.
This is our primary residence and we LOVE it! We like to travel and spend time in Denver with our kids & grandkids.
Crested Butte is a unique mountain town. Small and quaint with incredible dining, fun activities year-round. The skiing is outstanding with few lift lines. Summers are breathtaking!
  • Scott and Kristi were wonderful hosts with detailed communication before and during our stay. The information about the house and how to use everything was a great help. The information on the listing was accurate and the house felt like home - very cozy and welcoming. I would recommend their place as comfortable for groups up to eight.

  • Highly recommend staying at this cabin! We had an awesome time. If it's winter, recommend tire chains for the driveway. It's steep and gets icy. Really easy to miss the driveway, so definitely take the owner's recommendations. There are two small businesses right where the driveway is. Overall, would definitely stay again! There were a ton of wood pellets for the wood stove, everything you need in the kitchen, beds and couches were super comfortable, just a really great set up.

  • We didn’t actually get to stay in the originally reserved place due to a heater issue, but Gayle was extremely helpful and got us into an even better property nearby. I am extremely pleased with this vacation rental company and I can’t wait to stay at their properties again.

March 2020: Prices seem too good to be true? They are for now! We're new, and in an effort to earn your 5 star review, we're heavily discounting our nightly rates! Nestled in the heart of Crested Butte South, our home offers convenient access to the ski area, local trails, and to fly fishing minutes from your door. Brand new 3 bed, 2.5 bath townhome is easy to call home: with spectacular views, and extremely comfortable memory foam mattresses (Casper and Bear), you'll never want to leave!
    ||| Bedrooms ||| A good night's sleep shouldn't be something you worry about or miss on vacation. Perfect for couples or families, you'll find three bedrooms - two king beds, and one queen. Both king beds have Casper mattresses, and the queen is a Bear mattress. Bringing a few extra guests? Use the queen air mattress stored in the queen room, and do some rearranging in the living room to make space. Bringing a kiddo too small for a bed? We got you! There's a pack and play in the master bedroom. Every room has extra pillows, sheets, and blankets in the closets. ||| Bathrooms ||| There are 2.5 bathrooms. The master bedroom has a full bath en suite, and the king and queen guest rooms share a full bath with double sinks. The half bath is just off the living room. All bathrooms will have hand soap, and the full baths will have a hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Towels and washcloths are also provided. Removing makeup? Please use the towels marked for that :) ||| Kitchen ||| Don't worry about dragging your own kitchen with you on vacation - this one is fully equipped. Cook your five star dinners on the gas range, and bake your grandma's famous muffins in the morning! There are multiple ways to stay caffeinated: a french press and coffee grinder, as well as a Keurig are provided. Whole coffee beans are provided, along with a few pods for the Keurig. The fridge does have an ice maker for those making the frozen margs in the summer. You'll find a blender to help with those, too. Slow-cooking a pot of chili for post-skiing dinner? There's a Crockpot for that. Need to store the leftovers? A nice stack of "Tupperware" is at your disposal. You'll also have aluminum foil, ziplocs, and some plastic wrap. Salt, pepper, sugar, flour, olive oil, and a variety of spices are also stocked. We tried to think of everything, so if we missed a necessity feel free to let us know :) ||| Parking ||| There's a heated one car garage, and two spaces outside. The garage is not suited for very tall vehicles - a 2020 Subaru Forester and 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe fit with little room to spare both vertically and horizontally. You'll want to be careful if your vehicle is much larger than those. There is ample storage space for bikes, ski equipment, and any other outdoor gear you bring with you. ||| Washer/Dryer ||| A washer and dryer are available for your use. ||| Other Stuff ||| Your safety is important to us. A Blink camera is installed just inside the home in the entryway. The camera faces the front door and the door coming into the house from the garage.
Arguably the coolest town in Colorado, Crested Butte has so much to offer! Our place is in Crested Butte South within walking distance to Camp 4 Coffee (4-5 min), the neighborhood bar - Tully's (1-2 min), the General Store (2-3 min) and the bus stop which has shuttles into both the Town of CB, and Mt. Crested Butte (ski area). Buses and shuttles run frequently to town, or you can drive. Hiking and mountain biking trails are just up Cement Creek Road (within a mile or so - we walk them almost every day). Cement Creek and the East River are also right out the door and offer excellent fly fishing opportunities. You'll find no shortage of adventure in Crested Butte!
  • This place is great! We used this as home base for a family weekend ski and spa vacation. So comfortable and immaculately clean. Nice amenities within walking distance and close drive to town and skiing. Thoughtful touches throughout. This is really a great place to relax after a long day of skiing, snowshoeing, or whatever you decide to do. Highly recommended.

really cool quiet neighborhood. dog friendly. in cb south there are 2 really nice places to eat. Tully's and the general store. Good pizza/bar food. There is also a liquor store and a coffee shop called camp 4 coffee
  • We will definitely book again in the future! Mikes place was so so beautiful especially the hot tub on the river and exactly what we needed after a day on the mountain. He was also so accommodating with a friend's injury! Thank you for being flexible and for sharing your well equiped, unique home with us.

  • This is a wonderful, gorgeous home. A very natural comforting warm feel. You step out into the balcony and see a fantastic view plus you can hear the river a couple feet away! It’s exactly like the picture except it’s just better in person. A must if you are looking to visit crested butte!

    Mason2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Imagine sitting in a hot tub with your best friends (or family) by a beautiful river in the mountains, sipping a cocktail after skiing CB. Nice, right? The house itself is really fun and quirky, would stay here again in a heartbeat!

    Sigrunn2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • House is a cute get away when hoping to enjoy skiing at crested butte. About 10 minutes outside of town and 15 from the public parking at the mountain, it is perfect to stay quiet away from towns hustle and bustle. The town shuttle is .7 miles from the house and it's a tad harsh to figure out so we didnt try it after the first day. Food and bar scene is fun. Hot tub is large and comfortably fits 6!

  • Amazing place for a mountain get away!

    Jake2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This was a perfect getaway to enjoy the mountains and still close to ski. My dog was in absolute heaven and will miss his doggy friend who’d pop in and play in the mornings. The hot-tub was amazing for evening relaxation and stargazing! Thanks again!

  • Chuck and Ofra are fabulous hosts. We had such a lovely time chatting over breakfast and sharing their space. The room is much brighter than in the pictures - it looked like a basement room, but had lots of light and was very cozy. Their home is absolutely beautiful, and we spent a few hours reading on their porch taking in the gorgeous fall colors. I look forward to staying with them again next time we’re in CB!

  • Chuck & Ofra we’re wonderful. I would recommend them as hosts!

    Julianne2019-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Chuck and Ofra were friendly and helpful and gave me some great suggestions for Scenic Wildflower hikes! The mattress was very comfortable.... and I never say that! I'm a bit of a Princess and the Pea and usually have to resort to sleeping on my air mattress wherever I go, even at nice hotels. I rented the smaller room.

    Mayme2019-07-25T00:00:00Z

  • Chuck and Ofra are really super nice & helpful & attentive/responsive. The house in CB South sits in the foothills of one mountain, and on the back deck, it faces another -- Red Mountain. CB South is about 6 quick miles from town. I had a really great time there.

It’s a quick drive to ski and just minutes back to Salida for food and shopping. Our party of 10 had a great stay! And...we actually enjoyed not having phone service or WiFi. It gives way to connect with your loved ones.

  • The location is beautiful. The drive in through the snow was fun. Make sure you have good traction if it is winter and snowy. The bedrooms are spacious, the cabin is well stocked with everything you could need for cooking, there is plenty of seating and a nice large table for big groups to sit around and eat or play games. A great place to stay. It’s also as close to Monarch Mountain as you can get, about a 10 minute drive.

  • Wonderful retreat home close to Salida, yet far enough away to feel remote. Beautiful home with everything you need to enjoy time away. The beds are super comfy, and there is no need to bring a thing as everything you need is there. The stream running next to the home make a nice white noise for sleeping, and the multiple porches to enjoy the outdoors are very pleasant. Check-in was easy, with ample parking for multiple cars. Overall we had a great time at this home and highly recommend it for anyone looking for a getaway in the woods.

  • Great cabin that has a lot more room inside than it looks. Big kitchen with a spacious dining and living area was perfect for our group size. Awesome decks on both levels and sides of the cabin with nice sounds of the creek nearby.

  • It was clean, spacious, and the host were fast to respond when a question was asked. The view is absolutely astonishing. The drive was definitely worth it overall AND THE MOUNTAINS

  • Fully furnished kitchen, toilet paper, towels and wash rags are supplied . The neighbors were great. Wi-fi is available. No cell service. Nice and peaceful place to stay. We are returning next year for the annual trip. Amazing views.

  • Great price and location for trail riders. It's not fancy or new, but there's paved-road ATV access to Pitkin, and from there, access to all of the trails. Hot water is great, water pressure is great. Almost no communication with hosts - not a big deal but there was no check out procedure, so we tried to leave it cleaner than it was when we arrived. Would definitely stay again!

  • This place was the perfect spot for our base camp as we explored the surrounding cities. Very quiet in the evenings too.

  • Motel/cabins are as advertised. Rustic and quaint accommodations but very clean. Location in the valley cannot be beat. I consider the fact there is no cell service to be one of the bighorns most attractive amenities, however there is WiFi for those that get twitchy when they are completely disconnected. All in all a great stay
