Welcome to our Sherman Room in our converted barn. Beautiful King bedroom awaits you furnished with all the luxury finishes for a wonderful stay in the country. Attached is a full bathroom with soft, plush towels. We also have a coffee maker with coffee, microwave, and mini frige to add a level of comfort and enjoyment.
We live in another house on our 5 acre property and can be available if you would like to meet and also answer any questions you may have.
We are 25 mins away from the Kings Canyon entrance to Sequoia National Park.
  • The room has everything you need and the hosts are very kind. They made an effort to make sure we had a pleasant stay. Annas place is at a perfect location if you are visting the Sequoia forest. It's beatifully located at the base of the mountain. At night it's dead silence except some dogs barking, probably to protect the area from wildlife. This was not a problem for us, instead we got a great feeling of really being far out on the countryside. When we arrived in the evening we were greeted by a group of curious cats. In the morning, when we packed our bags into the car, two happy dogs came along and were eager to play with us. This was all a delightful taste of life outside the city. If you really don't like animals you should let the host know.

  • Anna is an amazing host!. Not only that she answered promptly but also guided us to the place and provided us with nice hot meal at that late time in the evening. The place is cozy and very clean and it has everything we needed for our stay. We had a great stay and we are looking forward to go back!. This is the place to stay for us and we highly recommend it!

We are conveniently located about 5 minutes off of Hwy 180. Very easy drive up the hill from Fresno. We are also about one hour from the entrance to Sequioa/Kings Canyon Park. It is a quiet rural area of mostly 5 acre parcels (like ours) and also some larger ranch properties. Please do check the map before you book. It will show pretty close where we are. If this is not the location you would like you might be happier booking somewhere else. Thank you for checking out our place .
  • Gorgeous property with a hot tub. So quiet and peaceful. The room is stylish and homey with many thoughtful touches. Love the bedding and adorable dogs. Highly recommend! Important to note the toilet + sink is on another part of the property. A very short distance but may not be for everyone. I was fine with it. Shower is in the main house, have to use between 9am-9pm which was also fine for me.

  • Kirk and Cyndi are great hosts, they are super welcoming. Their guest house is very cozy, it feels like a cocoon. They offered us breakfast which was super good. Their 2 dogs Sam and Gretchen are adorable. And the place is at the top with an incredible view. In short, if you pass in the area do not hesitate to sleep with them, it's perfect.

  • 100% would recommend to anyone visiting Sequoia National Park or King's Canyon National Park

    Drew2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • My stay Kirk and Cyndi's place was much more than what I expected. Little touches here and there including breakfast, hot-tub access( not included ;) ) made the experience that much greater. Sam and Gretchen were great hosts as well! I wish I could have stayed longer, thanks again.

    Tomas2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • A great little space Cyndi and Kirk are very hospitable and bring breakfast in the morning! Clean and cozy.

    Hannah2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Kirk and Cyndi are the most accommodating hosts that we have ever had. Their home is nearby Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park, which has incredible views and nature. They are very kind people that gave us great tips for our adventure in Sequoia. They were also nice enough to deliver a delicious, fresh breakfast every morning. The fresh baked muffins were some of our favorites. Their two pups, Samson and Gretchen were so sweet and we really enjoyed having them around. The space itself is a large area on the countryside with lots of nature and things to do. We never got bored and we are planning to stay here again soon. My favorite part was watching stars in the hot tub and grilling burgers on the grill! I would recommend anyone to stay here! Thank you again to the incredible hosts.

  • Kirk and Cyndi’s place is the perfect hidden gem! Great hospitality, great location, and the friendliest dogs to greet you!

  • Great getaway for visiting Sequoia & King’s Canyon. Kirk and Cyndi were thoughtful hosts and their pups are the sweetest! Hot tub under the stars and breakfast delivered in the morning - it doesn’t get much better than this : )

California's Central Valley at its finest! Enjoy Spring fruit trees & foothill wildflowers, or the abundance of a fresh Summer harvest. Easy drive to 3 National Parks (Kings Canyon National Park 45 miles, Sequoia National Park 50 miles, and 75 minutes to closest Yosemite National Park entrance). Beautiful 106 year old 3200 sq ft classic ranch home with large yards sleeps 6 or more/pets allowed. Having hiked extensively in the Sierras, we can assist with coordinating hiking/horseback trips.
This is a fully renovated 106 year old 2-story 3200 sq foot classic ranch home in rural S/E Fresno County (north of Dinuba and east of Reedley) in a rural agricultural setting amid a multitude of crops including citrus and stone fruit trees. Home is set back from road with long paved driveway providing ample space to park a number of vehicles. There are two complete upstairs bedrooms with full-sized beds, each sleeping two, plus a comfortable queen sofa-bed in the downstairs den. Both bedrooms have full closets and ample drawer space for extended stays. Two full baths with showers are located down/upstairs. All bath and bedroom linens are washed only with biodegradable, hypoallergenic and unscented detergent. There is a large, fully equipped, kitchen and table for 6, plus formal dining room that comfortably seats another 12. Downstairs also includes a formal living room and separate den with large-screen TV and Blu-Ray+DVD players (unlocked for all world regions) plus Amazon Fire and Roku sticks, including Amazon Prime access plus Netflix (using your Netflix account). Wireless Internet is included. See Guest Access information for pets. Smoking inside is prohibited. March 2020 note: we are currently remodeling the den to add a fireplace and top-tier Home Theater with 9-speaker 7.1 surround sound incorporating Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, plus an 82" 4K HDTV. With remodeling construction, we anticipate a mid-year 2020 completion. Guests will have access to entire property EXCEPT garage, master suite and office which are locked off for exclusive use by owner along with adjacent ag/farm buildings. Access includes full front/rear yards (rear yard is fenced and includes a large, partially covered, redwood deck part of which is currently being renovated). Propane and/or Traeger wood-pellet grills available by advance agreement with owner. Owner travels extensively with little advanced notice, so may or may not be on the property during time of reservation. This is California's rural Central San Joaquin Valley at its finest! Enjoy millions of Spring blossoms when fruit trees - and foothill wildflowers - are in bloom. Fresno County's famed Blossom Trail (bicycle and vehicle tour) is just minutes away. Only a short drive further are three of the nation's most popular National Parks, Kings Canyon/Sequoia and Yosemite, or the many other exploring and hiking opportunities of the Central Sierra Nevada mountains, including access to the famed John Muir Trail. Use this rental as a hub for a wonderful Central California experience!
Spring and Summer offer a plethora of fresh citrus, stone fruit and vegetables. Autumn/Winter seasons generally restrict fresh fruit availability to grapes and oranges that are often available at roadside stands. There are several commercial stands offering late Spring/Summer/Fall seasonal fruit that has been in cold storage, but still better prices and quality than in most local stores. This is an older agricultural neighborhood that is several miles from the closest towns, with a number of local families having lived here for over a century. Nearby towns offer a wide variety of shopping including (in Dinuba to the south) several "big box" stores (Walmart, etc), plus the historical and well preserved Reedley downtown area to the west and historic Kingsburg with its Danish heritage and cuisine 12 miles to the southwest. There are a wide variety of both American and ethnic eating establishments to choose from when dining out, from Armenian to Danish/Swedish to the best tasting "hole-in-the-wall" & "taco coach" plus full sit-down Mexican choices, to high-end steakhouses.
  • We have stayed with John a number of years now for a convention. His place and hospitality fits our group perfectly.

  • A lovely home with all the amenities you could need. It's suitably located for Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks. John was on hand for a tour of the house and to offer tips. Another benefit of the location is the numerous fruit and veg stalls nearby.

You will feel right at home in our darling cabins! Over the top bedding with allergen/mite covers. Comfortable shower and did I mention clean??? :) *** I want my guests to be aware of the fact that during this time we are going above and beyond our regular HIGH standard of disinfecting and cleaning!
We are on 2 acres and they are yours to explore! We are in a mountainous area with different terrain, and who knows what you may happen upon. I have seen wild turkeys, quail, lizards, squirrels etc. we do have pest service; however, as my family tells me “you cannot conquer nature.” 🤦🏻‍♀️ In the front of our cabins we have a coffeehouse that serves a WIDE variety of coffees which can be hot, blended or iced. We make all our scones, bagels, cookies onsite. We are open Friday-Monday. With your nights stay you receive a complimentary coffee and baked good. If your stay is Monday - Wednesday night I will leave some baked goods in your room. There is a coffeemaker in the room too. Looking forward to hosting you!! Mimi :)
A short drive to the North entrance to the Sequoia and Kings Canton National Parks. Very close to the parks visitor center.
  • Mimi was not only super communicative and Easy to work with, she also went above and beyond to let me know that the coffee shop would be closed and provided cinnamon buns for breakfast. The room was well stocked with coffee, creamers, and sugar. It was clean and cute!

    Shonna2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Mimi’s cabin is truly idyllic. It’s the perfect getaway but still close to Fresno and other cities. It’s a short drive away from King’s Canyon and Sequoia National Park. While we spent our days exploring the parks, the most fun was coming back to the quiet cabin with Netflix. In the morning, Mimi’s Cafe is ... honestly a dream: straight out of an issue of Condé Nast. Included in the stay is a pastry and coffee in the morning, but I’d recommend doing the upgrade and get the avocado on bagel. The only downside is that the closest place to eat is a short drive away there aren’t a lot of options, but Mimi gave us great recommendations and we were not disappointed! We will definitely be back :)

    Sandra2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Mimi's cabins are easy to find and exactly as described/pictured. The coffee shop was amazing. All the little added touches in our room were exceedingly delightful! For sure would stay here again and recommend to others!

Casa Peralta is a mid century mini oasis located on a family citrus farm at the foothills of the Sierra Nevada. Enjoy fruit from the citrus orchard outside your window from October to April. Take a swim in the pool or put your boots on and take an easy day trip for adventure in one of three nearby national parks - Kings Canyon, Sequoia and Yosemite. We are also less than 2 hours from great skiing at China Peak. We look forward to sharing our little retro time capsule with you!
Casa Peralta was built in 1962 and was a game room and poolhouse or many years. Just about everything in this small mid-century gem is original and of the era. You will definitely feel like you have traveled back in time when you step through the door. New windows were recently added for energy conservation.
Three national parks only a short drive away! Sequoia and Kings Canyon are right in our backyard, and the world famous General Grant is 45 min from our door. Yosemite is approximately 1.5 hour drive to park entrance and another hour drive to the valley floor. Shaver lake is approximately one hour 15 minutes and another half hour more to China Peak for skiing in world class snow. The Kings river and Reedley beach are a short 20 min drive. There are a few restaurants in Orange Cove, but options are limited. Fine dining can be found within a 20 minute drive - yes, we are out in the country! Covered parking is available.
  • My partner and I were planning a last minute trip to Fresno, and what was supposed to be a day trip ended up being a two day stay. Lindsay and Dev at Casa Peralta were immediately communicative, and worked with us on our last minute late arrival. The best part was, we were able to bring our dog and not only stay a close way from Fresno, but also from AMAZING hiking and parks close by. We loved the accommodations so much we not only spent more time at Casa Peralta than visiting friends in Fresno, but also sent pictures of the guesthouse to friends and family just to show off :D Some of my favorite parts of our stay was having quiet place with privacy, but also our hosts close by incase we had any questions or concerns, the decor...OMG IT WAS AMAZING, the orange groves and waking through them with our pup, and the absolute peace and quiet of the country! The stars at night and sounds of the owls and frogs were such a welcome departure from city living, and the smell of citrus in the morning air can not be topped! 100% would stay here again, and recommend to all our friends <3 would LOVE to come back at a different time of year to use the pool!!

    Jessica2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Casa Peralta is a hidden gem. Here are a few reasons why I believe it offers a unique and rewarding airbnb experience: 1) Lindsay's and Devin's warm and genuine hospitality; 2) the cool factor: authentic retro pool house/lounge vibe (eat your heart out, Palm Springs!); 3) it is reasonably priced, spacious, quiet, and private despite being near the main house; 4) orange groves as far as the eye can see (meandering through the bright, sunny orange trees on moss carpeted paths was my daily meditation during my stay); 5) fresh citrus for you to pick and enjoy right out your front door!; 5) proximity to King Canyon NP and Sequoia NP, NF and NM; and 6) truly pet friendly (no additional pet fees or restrictions, and Lindsay even made a dog bed out of a vintage TV set for guests' dogs to use!). Lindsay and Devin immediately put me at ease about staying at their property when they greeted me upon my arrival. And they continued to demonstrate their great hospitality during my stay by sharing their knowledge of the local area, answering questions about hiking trails and restaurants, giving good food and drink recommendations, and inviting me to share the view of the stunning sunset from their back lawn just above the pool house. I really enjoyed my stay (as did my pup), and happily recommend Casa Peralta to anyone seeking an authentic, laid-back, and relaxing airbnb experience.

    Amy2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend Robin and I are very very grateful for the stay we had at Lindsay's place! We were travelling from SF To LA and decided to spend two nights in Orange Cove. Lindsay and her family opened up their home to us and gave us an experience to remember. The poolhouse is super cool, very clean and comfortable!!!! Out of the 6 airbnbs we stayed in during our travels, we enjoyed this one the most by far. The interior style and location ( right next to all the orange and lemon trees and pool) made us feel truly on holiday. We were able to pick fresh fruit of the trees and make delicious sangria. On our last day we were given a tour of the farm and a whooooole bag of fruit to take with us on our journey. Staying here was not just a place to sleep but a real experience. Thank you so much for having us and we cannot wait to visit once more in the summertime! Big kisses to the whole family xxx

We are thrilled to share Serenity with you in the rolling foothills of the Sierra Nevada, just 35 minutes from the gate to Giant Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. Please make yourself at home away from home on thirteen acres untouched nature. This home is for those that love the natural environment, plants, animals, and everything that comes with it. We are a National Wildlife Federation Certified Wildlife Habitat and work hard to comply with the NWF standards.
Serenity is at the end of a Cul de sac and offers complete privacy on 13 acres. The view from the deck and front of the house overlooks a lovely meadow and the seasonal Mill Creek just beyond. The house comfortably sleeps 8-10 persons on a Master bedroom king, an adjacent loft with two twin size and two full size beds and a family room queen sofa sleeper. Enjoy the view from the upstairs deck or downstairs patio. The home has a fully stocked kitchen, washer, dryer, and two bathrooms. There is plenty of space for parking, to spread out, and to make yourself at home. We don't charge a deposit and there are no minimum stays. We want you to enjoy Serenity, even if for just one night, without breaking the bank. Please inquire about special pricing if you would like to hold your special event at Serenity.
Dunlap is nestled along Highway 180 in Squaw Valley; 35 minutes from Giant Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. There are gas stations and restaurants in Dunlap and Squaw Valley. The house is located at the end of a Cul De Sac and down your own private drive. Serenity Rustic Retreat is possibly the most private home in Squaw Valley.
  • Beautiful home with a beautiful view. It’s not called serenity ranch for nothing. It was quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of every day life. There were also a lot of beautiful animals around the property such as peacocks and wild horses that would come and drink from the creek. Definitely would recommend staying here if you’re looking to get away from city life.

    Monica2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our time here. The property is vast and the house has everything you need—plus a DVD/tape collection. Though it’s remote and rural, we had no trouble accessing the property.

    Dean2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great place in a peaceful, quiet area. Make sure to follow the listing’s directions (and not Google Maps) when getting to the house. Sandra was very responsive in helping us navigate to the house.

  • Great place for a get away. The bed was incredibly comfortable. Thank you : )

    Nhia2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place if you want to be alone! There is no cell service on the property. So no annoying texts. We had cows roaming the yard just as we were leaving. About 1/2 dozen calf's. Suggestion for anyone staying here. -Pick up food before you arrive. It's a 10 minute drive to get to the main road. -if you want to watch movies, they provide a bunch of DVD's and VHS. If you want to watch your own stuff, download movies, bring a HDMI cable and a laptop. There is no service to stream movies. -the water does have a sulfur smell. It's not a big deal. A bit annoying, but 100% safe. -if you are staying in the winter time like we did, make sure to keep everything closed up. It takes awhile to warm the place up even with the heater and fire going -the Pizza Place near by is great. They even had GF crust so we both could eat there. -the store nearby has fire logs for sale. I'd recommend buying them outside of the area. The only have the small 1.5hr ones and they are a bit pricy. It's a simple place in a beautiful setting. Watch for the peacocks, mules, cows, horses and other barnuard animals along your drive!

    Erik2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • My friends and I had a great stay and would stay again anytime. The water had a slight smell, but nothing too bad. Sandra was able to work with us on a misunderstanding on my part which was great.

  • Amazing yard by a creek. You can bring pets so that’s awesome.

  • This place was beyond expectation, Pictures just do not do the place any justice. we had an amazing time bbqN on propane grill provided, along with a beautiful bon Fire in the evening . Our dog loved taking walks along the creek that is breathtaking and relaxing. We had dinner right in front of the wood burning fire nice and cozy and romantic. Coffee in morning on the awesome balcony right out of the master bedroom doors was heavenly, we did not want to leave !.. book your stay don’t hesitate, we will definitely be visiting again. We are about 24 miles, which takes about 35-40 minutes to Kings Canyon Park and Sequoia National Park. (The Giant Forest). Yosemite Park is about 2 hours away. And the coast is 2 hours away.
We are in a lane that dead ends, only those who live in our lane drive through here. It is very quiet and everywhere you turn there is a scenic view. We also have an amazing fence across the street our neighbor has created, we have people come from all over California to see it.
Our neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful.
  • The house is perfect. Really nice experience. Outside was quiet and nice, fresh air. We loved stay there. Very gentle hostess. Many details to feel at home. Very clean spaces and useful stuff.

    Valeria2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great time at the Airbnb! We had plenty of space for 6 people! Thank you for the extra beds. Visited the neighbor’s fence art work at your recommendation which was super cool. :) The kitchen was well equipped for having a small breakfast. The living room and dining area was very spacious.

  • House located close to north entrance to Sequoia National Park and Kings Canyon. It’s very clean and new. Clayton & Lupe welcome us when we arrived, showed the house and they didn’t disturb us during our stay. They are very nice people.

  • We highly recommend this place! You won't be dissapointed.

    Patrick2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean and well equipped home. There was more than enough kitchen appliances and basic kitchen spices so if you want anything special for your meals then bring your own. There is a small general store not too far from the house but would recommend bringing all food and snacks with you. We picked up our groceries in Visalia and picked up gallon waters from the general store as there is no filtered water in the house. Not sure if drinking from tap is ok or not but we just picked up water and was no big deal at all. Note: WiFi was a bit slow so I would recommend downloading any movies or shows you want your kids to watch on any devices. We were unable to stream which was not a big deal at all for us but worth a note. They did have dvds and we were able to throw on Ice Age for the kids one night. We arrived early and were greeted by Lupe who was still cleaning the house and I must say she really does care about the cleanliness of the house and is so accommodating. I appreciated meeting her and her husband greeted us on our way out. Super nice and friendly couple. Would definitely recommend staying here but if traveling in winter the road to Sequoia through Kings Canyon was closed so we were only able to make it up to Kings Canyon. Always carry chains if driving in the snow we were rear ended coming down by an SUV who did not have chains and the roads coming down the mountain were icy. We had 4x4 and still needed chains so please be prepared. Luckily we are all ok and only our tail light got damaged. Thanks again Lupe and Clayton we had a wonderful Thanksgiving in your cozy home.

  • Anna's house was a nice surprise for us. Even reading all the reviews, you still don't get that feeling of the place. To us it felt a remote and very much loved family home. It clearly saw a few generations of family gatherings and good times. Comfortable, spacious enough for four people, and would fit another few family members or close friends easily. We loved listening to crickets and watching shooting stars at night. Self check-in was easy, no internet or cell at the house, a good place to disconnect and relax. Highly recommend and we will come back when we go back to Kings Canyon or Sequoia Park. Thank you, Anna!

  • This is a good stay for 3-4 people... awesome place . More than 4 is dificult. view around the place is really awesome

  • Home away from home. My family had a great time. The location is a bit of a drive but it’s fine. Having a spotty cell reception and without wifi made us stay away from our phones and spend more time together. Movie collection is great. You’ll find something really good for any age. My 11-yr old son also enjoyed the atari console. They have ac but gets pretty hot on summer and takes a while to cool down the house. 👌👌👌

  • Lovely house! Highly recommended! Very quiet place with amazing views around, good for families. The house and the beds are cozy and sweet. Cody & Angela are very nice people, the response always very fast. Everything they serve in the house are thoughtful. Although they told us the WIFI may not super fast when I asked them, the WIFI was really good. Many thanks! Will come again next time.

  • Amazing place in a good area. Nice and quiet with some great views. Cody and Angela are great people and even better hosts. Perfect spot if you’re up in the area for whatever reason. I’ll be staying again anytime I’m in the area.

    Robert2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • We went here looking for a place with a lot of room for the kids to run around because we wanted to do a “digital detox” for a week before school started back up. What an amazing property! We live in a larger home in the greater Las Vegas area and even with our 4 kids this house had enough space for everyone and was very clean! The best part by far is the many acres of land they had for us to play outdoor games with the kids and roam around. It’s also located next to some really cool attractions like the cat haven where you can see all the big cats like Tigers and Lions which the kids loved as well as a beautiful national park where we saw the worlds largest tree! Hosts were very kind people and responsive to any questions we had.

    Brett2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • This house is wonderful for family vacation! Close to King's Canyon National Park which kids can play snow crazily at. We really found eggs :)

    Sam2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Cody and Angela's place is a beautiful and quiet place, something like you would see in a movie. If you're looking for some R&R here is a place to come to visit. We woke up refreshed and ready to play everyday. Thank you for letting us experience life outside of the city.

  • Highly recommend! We have family in the area, and it was a great place to stay while we were there. They were very accommodating and very very friendly. They have games and stuff for kids which was great for our 11 and 5 year old nephews. Everything was very clean, and we had all the amenities we needed for a comfy stay. They also have a chicken! Very cute. We will be back! :)

It was perfect for what we needed and the porch area is just right for relaxing mornings. It's also only 40 min to Kings canyon! • Exactly as expected. Gena's is a convenient stop nearby King's Canyon/Sequoia with a hospitable host, bar, and restaurant. Fun place!

    Ryan2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Gena's Sierra Inn was literally one of the highlights of our trip while exploring King's Canyon. We decided to stay an extra day and Whitney was eager to accommodate us to help make our stay as comfortable as possible. We were treated like family from the onset and we felt like family when we left. The restaurant was a great convenience when traveling so far from any nearby town. The food was awesome!

    Jane2019-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Close to the National Park, so that makes it a good base camp for explorations. The rooms/ houses are tiny, but they have everything you need. Food: we liked the veggie tacos, they were great! Good selection of craft beers.

  • I needed a place to crash before heading into Sequoia and King’s Canyon National Park and Juanita’s place was perfect for that. Juanita was so welcoming and warm, and her space was homey and inviting. It was perfectly situated less than half an hour outside the parks in a wonderfully quiet area that felt very away from everything. It was just what I needed!

    Kimiko2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The house may not be very large, but the love that inhabits it makes you feel like you are staying in a palace. I loved the Prayer Room and Sunshine bends over backwards, in so many ways to make you not only feel welcome, but like an old friend.

    Kristen2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, almost feels like a museum! Well maintained by Juanita and she is an excellent host!

    Abhiram2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Juanita was such a kind and generous host! She made delicious hot breakfasts each morning with smoothies for early 'on the go ' mornings and even pomegranate fresh from her yard! She provided us with maps of the nearby national parks and was very prompt to respond to my questions when I was on the road site seeing. She informed us about local events and we got a taste of the local flavor going to a local festival with food and music. She was a wonderful compassionate host offering good healthy ideas for food and juice when my partner was not feeling well. We would definitely stay with Juanita again and recommend her highly !

    Beth2019-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Juanita's house is a wonderful place to visit. She is kind and welcoming, and provides a unique and pleasant way to visit a lovely part of the Sequoia National Park. If you are interested in staying with a wonderful local resident while experiencing this beautiful region, you should consider staying here.

    James2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • So you’ve already been drawn by the pictures and descriptions, but the true draw is sharing presence and space with Sunshine. She’s so welcoming, warm and sweet. We enjoyed many conversations with her while staying in her home. She generously shared special brews of tea, food and fresh fruits with us. She also gave us a lot of great suggestions on places of interest we had in the park as well. Her home is a 30 minute drive to the entrance of the park. My partner and I don’t eat meat so it was convenient for us to be able to bring some provisions to prepare meals since options are limited in the park. Definitely pick some stuff up on your way there!

    Santy2019-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Was at Rainbow's for a short time. She was very kind to offer food and I had a good sleep. As a solo female traveler I felt safe here.

    Casey2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Juanita's place is awesome and she is a wonderful host. The directions were very helpful to reach the place. She was very kind to offer us food since the closest restaurant was closed. The place is very quiet, we had delightful conversations with Juanita and took quite a few pictures. I would definitely recommend her place to anyone visiting Kings Canyon National Park.

This bright and airy hideaway is perfect for guests looking to get away from the hustle & bustle of the city and enjoy what the mountains have to offer. This home is child and pet friendly, offering many amenities to keep them all happy. --Playhouse w/lots for kids to do ( --Geocaches all over the property (all ages) --Dog beds --Horse corral --Large yard fully fenced w/no climb fencing --Hiking trails Any issues? No worries, the host lives nextdoor! (as "nextdoor" as 5 acres allows!).
This hideaway is only 10 minutes from Hwy 180 and is kid and pet friendly. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, utensils, dishes, herbs and spices to prepare & serve your own meals. The living room features a gas fireplace that turns on with and adjusts with a remote (no need to be a girl scout/boy scout to start this fireplace!) The master has it's own private bathroom with unique rock wall shower and small deck to enjoy the sunrise on. The guest rooms have a shared bathroom with shower-tub combo. The bathrooms are fully stocked with bathroom essentials (towels, makeup remover wipes, toilet paper, shampoo & conditioner, and hand & body soap). We have all the amenities you might need for a trip with kids too! Pack & Play with infant attachments, high chair, "BOB" stroller (single child) with Chico carseat attachment and much more (see photos). As for the property itself, it is quite mountainous. There are great trails to hike all over the property and you will often find all sorts of wildlife! We have year-round wild turkeys that roam the area (don't worry, none are aggressive), and in the warmer months have seen a snake or two, so keep your eyes open and scanning where you are headed when exploring on the property.
We have an amazing little community with a few little gems you won't want to miss! Clingan's Junction coffee shop features delicious coffee and home-baked goodies! Our favorites are the home made cinnamon rolls, scones or avocado sandwich. Seasonally, you can visit the Sierra Peaks Winery to taste their amazing Huitaca wines. From Mouvedre to Carmenere they blazed the trail to make our community our very own wine region (Squaw Valley-Miramonte Viticultural Area). In their off season, you can still buy a bottle of wine from them! They deliver to the house! You also may not want to miss a visit to the Project Survival Cat Haven. It is a quick 15 minute drive away and is home to many large exotic cats.

    Sergio2019-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and value for a weekend trip to Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks. It's about 1 hour from Lodgepole Visitor Center (Sequoia) and 30 min from Kings Canyon Visitor Center (Kings Canyon). The room had all the amenities we needed for our short stay and the beds were comfortable (on the firm side). We didn't eat at the restaurant next door but I'm glad we had the option to!

    Queenie2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Gena's Inn is the perfect place to stay if you want to venture into Sequoia and Kings Canyon national parks! We only needed a place to sleep at night, but were pleasantly surprised to be able to eat at her restaurant which serves amazing food! Highly recommend the salmon and the pasta! The check-in process was a breeze, we had designated parking in front and they let us fill our hydration packs at the restaurant. One thing to be aware - google maps is a little inaccurate when you type in the address. Just look for the Inn on the road.

    Subhamoy2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Definitely "quirky", but would recommend! Bathroom is split between a 1/2 bath in one small room, and a shower with changing area on opposite side of the wall. Beds are definitely on the firm side, but for me at least the large bed was still soft enough for me to sleep comfortably on my side. We had some car trouble en route, putting us at the Inn much later than intended, but after a quick message to our host we were given our room door code so we could get right in when we arrived (after check-in hours), which we very much appreciated. We only stayed one night, but it was perfect for what we were looking for, very close to King's Canyon/Sequoia, and much easier on the wallet than any other place nearby. Basic - just a dresser, beds, and I think a small bench, but clean and comfortable. Perfect for we needed. We noticed a small kids play area just outside which we didn't have a chance to utilize but definitely would have had we gotten in on time. We grabbed breakfast burritos on our way out in the morning, which were delicious. Pictures of the room were very accurate - we enjoyed our stay!

    Emily2019-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay before entering Sequoia Kings Canyon. WIFI is a little challenging at times but overall the place is comfortable, cute and the restaurant is delicious too. Would stay here again!

  • Great place, right at the entrance of the park, lovely atmosphere at night having some drinks while seeing sunset from their restaurant. Special thank to Chris, who was lovely and gave us lots of tips for our trip.

  • We were delightfully surprised by our experience here. Friendly hostess who gave us helpful tips about the area and treated us like friends. The food at the restaurant was superb (breakfast and dinner) and very reasonably priced. Gena is the sole proprietor and does a fantastic job with her business. Highly recommend this little jewel.

  • Perfect place on our way to Sequoia National Park! Thank you!

    Simona2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Gena's place is all you need before attacking the day in Sequoia Park and pay your respects to General Sherman. It ain't the Marriott, so hipsters go away. It's an authentic place with character and grit, nonetheless offering all amenities with your own bathroom, ceiling fan, TV, fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Loved by the locals, you will certainly meet a handful of them at the bar restaurant when you go there for breakfast pancakes in the morning or a burger and a cold one in the evening. If you stay at Gena's, you'll get a real feel of America 's countryside and it's people's hospitality! If I'm lucky enough to come back to these parts again, I'll get myself a room at Gena's.

Beautiful campsite surrounded by oak trees. Comes with 9 person tent. Breakfast or dinner can also be provided for extra fees. We can also pack up a lunch for you to go.
This is a 9 person tent set up for you. It also has porta potty and access to water spicket.
  • Top notch camping experience! Quick, polite and accurate communication combined with a relaxing, quiet and idyllic location made this a great place to stay. Anna and her husband were warm, enthusiastic and welcoming. Read that sentence again because I can’t over emphasize how wonderful these people are; I’m naturally introverted and I truly enjoyed my chats with them and felt at right at home. Their innate sense of hospitality is truly what sets them apart from other AirBnB hosts. They enthusiastically greeted me and quickly set me up in a spacious nine person tent. I was provided with a comfy air mattress, clean sheets, and a pillow. Porta potty was exceptionally clean and smelled great which was a definite plus. Surrounded by oak trees this was a great place to retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life. There are noises from the animals on the property (cows, rooster etc.) but I slept well and thought it added to the ambiance of being in nature. I would highly recommend staying here.

  • Anna Brandi was probably the fastest responder I've had. She and her husband are super friendly and got me set up for a tent stay in what is truly a massive tent. The drive to Sequoia/Kings Canyon in the morning was QUICK. Really ideal place to stay if you're up for a tent!

    Kelly2019-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Anna’s was everything i expected. We were provided a nine person tent along with an air mattress and clean pillows and sheets. What put Anna above and beyond was her and her husbands excitement, helpfulness, and hospitality. They offered us breakfast, allowed us to use their restroom, and helped us get situated in the tent upon arrival. One thing to keep in mind is that there are animals around (cows, dogs, goats, chickens) which you can hear making noise throughout the night along with cars passing by. We were still able to sleep well but just something to keep in mind. The tent is at the front of their property therefore it isnt situated in a completely isolated area. We definitely enjoyed our stay and enjoyed chatting with the hosts; very kind and welcoming people.

  • Remote and beautiful! As many others mentioned, the views are breathtaking- from sunrises on one side of the house to gorgeous sunsets on the other. A perfect place to disconnect and just enjoy. Kitchen was well-stocked with spices and dishes which we really appreciated. Made dinners and walked the property up to the rocks every night around sunset. Bed was extremely comfortable after days of many long hikes. Highly recommend downloading offline maps before arriving because service is spotty (which makes the experience even more special). It was a great place to stay!

  • Great place to stay if you’re visiting Kings Canyon and Sequoia Park. You can go for a quick hike on the property as they have 10 acres of land! Sunrise and sunset views are breathtaking. Also loved all the natural light that came in the house.

  • I traveled with kids to this wonderful place and it was ABSOLUTELY amazing! The location of the house is right on the top of the mountain and view are spectacular especially in the morning when kids are still asleep and I was able to enjoy my cup of java! The amenities were nothing I have seen before at airbnb, the kitchen and bathrooms stocked with all essentials that you need. In addition there are MANY games, DVDs, cards, that the kids enjoyed. The only thing I regret is that I have not spent more time there, but plan on returning for sure in few years and stay much much longer. Thank you for such!!

    Kasha2019-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • 1 of the most beautiful views I have ever seen .all is present in the house. Hope to be able to go back again.

  • My family of 5 had a fantastic stay with Lary and Merili! Unfortunately, as soon as we arrived in Oakland we were robbed and all of our belongings were stolen. Larry was a great assistance in supporting us in acquiring the necessities we needed for our trip. Thank you so much! The house was beautiful, clean and in a wonderful location that was a short drive to Sequoia and Kings Canyon national parks. We watched the sunset each night on the big porch. We had all the amenities we possibly needed. We had a few questions about the house and Larry was very quick to respond. (just a tip, to work the showers, pull the handle out). I would love to return to this house and will recommend it!

Well in our neighborhood It's country you can see coming down the road when your driving lots of cows, Horses , and next store to us Are goats. Yes it the Country!
  • it was a pleasure to stay at Billy’s place

    Teddy2018-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Billy place is such a charm for city man like me. Trailer is right behind his back yard, ez to access and ask for help if you need anything. Just an hour to Sequoia Nat and 45mins to King Canyon, so if you don't mind to drive and want to save some bucks, Billy trailer is the right for you.

    Quang2018-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • Billy obviously made me realize why he is a super host. He helped me a lot with super fast reply. Also, I am never going to forget his hospitality and dedication to my perfect stay.

  • Great place to stay if you going to the sequoias the amenities were great and the hospitality was even better!

    Larry2018-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent hospitality and accommodation very well

    Leon2018-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Billy’s place is so refreshing! Situated on farmland with beautiful rolling hills. Super easy to find in the daytime, and even at night. He put reflective tabs on the country road so you can see your driveway from quite far away. The whole property has little lights to guide you at night. Billy is quick to greet you as well as lots of animals, curious to see who is visiting. The travel trailer is super cute and perfectly clean. It has everything you need to cook, and plenty of extra pillows and blankets to keep you comfy. The a/c worked great keeping us cool. Your hosts are both amazing and ready to visit if that’s what you like. Or they will give you plenty of privacy if you prefer. There’s a sweet little chihuahua that stays in the house or follows April around. A friendly tabby cat that will come over for pets or leave you alone if you shoo her away. A beautiful horse named Valentine lives just outside your fence. And Bird Dog will keep you informed of whatever’s happening. You need to be pretty agile to get in and out of the trailer on the steps. And also come prepared for a tiny shower situation. My guest is about 6 feet tall and squeezed himself in just fine. Plenty of hot water for about a 10 minute shower. Then you just have a 5 minute wait for the next guy. Consider it an adventure! If you just want to kick back and relax in the country, or if you’re headed into Kings Canyon/Sequoia for an adventure, I highly recommend staying here! Easy and BEAUTIFUL drive straight into the park.

  • Our car tire pressure was running too low and we mentioned casually when we checked-in. Before we got up in the morning, Billy had gone to town to get a meter to measure the pressure and he filled up air when we getting ready, So sweet of Billy and thank you again. April provided great tips and shared many local stories which was very touching. Stay is cozy, silent and perfect place. We would definitely book this place if we happened to visit again.

    Vineeth2018-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • It has a pleasure staying at Billy's place. Billy and April are really Super Host. They made us feel welcomed in every situation. My six-year-old daughter is all excited to know when is next time, she is going to billy's place to have fun time with April.

Lighthouse Ranch-A property of Lighthouse Ministries USA, a non profit organization. Our guest house is 1500 sq ft. It has 3-bedroom and 2-baths, full kitchen. Sleeps 8. Beautiful view of the Squaw Valley area from the front porch with rocking chairs to sit and relax. Close to the entrance of Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Park. Property is a farm like atmosphere with cattle, goat, ducks and chickens.
Beautiful place to relax and enjoy the beauty of the area. Guest can take a walk to exercise or just take in the area. The property can also be used for group meetings or meals. Large kitchen and dining hall.
    Very quiet neighborhood.
  • Nice quiet place in a scenic setting close to Kings Canyon. The house is comfortable and clean. The kitchen has basic cookware, plates, cups, glasses etc. Donald goes the extra mile with nice breakfast items / welcome basket. Note that there is no WiFi. There is DVD player with a good collection of movies.

    Vinay2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • It is a great place to stay overall. Donald and Lisa are very hospitable, and if you love old movies, they have a whole bunch of them. The kitchen is very large, it's a shame I and my friend don't have time to make our own meal there. It is very quiet, the only possible sound is made by the lovely animals. Some downsides are that there are no wifi and the bathroom door in the master room can't be locked (you can still close it and my friends don't mind this).

    Ke2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect accommodations for visiting King's Canyon. Hosts were very responsive, house was clean, spacious, and welcoming. . .even the cows welcomed us each day with a hearty, "moooo!" The hosts went above and beyond with some nice extra touches! Thank you!

  • This is a great place to stay for some countryside living while visiting the national parks - it’s hard to stay closer without being in the parks themselves . The rental itself is updated and comfortable - very functional space. We were there with 4 adults and 3 kids and had plenty of room. The view is beautiful and calming and it was overall a nice place. The host was friendly , helpful and responsive, hard to do better ! Thanks again!

  • Loved the ranch! We had 6 people (including 4 teen/adult children) and loved all the space to spread out and relax. Ceiling fans in every room, and effective a/c The huge kitchen and dining area were great for our big family. The views from the ranch are great and the cows, goat, chickens, and ducks add to the ambience! Donald and Lisa are great hosts and were very responsive to questions and any needs we had. We would not hesitate to return again - it’s a very relaxing and high value option outside Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks,

    Brian2019-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here to explore Sequoia National Park – about 30 minutes to the north gate. Worth the drive to stay in such a wonderfully relaxing house. Large living room with plenty of seating for your whole crowd (we had 5). Awesome front porch overlooking the valley to look at the sparkly sky and to drink your morning coffee. Very relaxing. Comfortable beds and owners were very attentive and nice. Recommended some nice restaurants. What a find!

Our B & B is located in the open countryside away from from the noise of the city or highway, between Fresno and Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks. Every room is quiet with a great view. We are located on a working cattle ranch, with all that entails.
Easy access to both Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks. Just off Highway 180 (approx 3/4 of a mile) on Indian Guide Road. Very quiet secluded setting on a 240 acre working cattle ranch. Each room has one queen size bed and it's own private bath. You have a choice of four different rooms. Our rooms are very spacious and comfortable. We provide a breakfast of your choosing, usually served family style. You are welcome to wander around the ranch and enjoy nature at its best. Of course there will be cattle grazing, but you might also encounter Great Blue Heron nesting in the higher branches of some of our trees. We can also cater to groups for retreat type outings. Please call for additional information.
We are very rural. It is ten minutes to the nearest restaurant or three minutes to pizza.
  • We felt very comfortable with Connie. When we arrived we were greeted very nice and always felt very welcome. We had our own large room with private bath. The breakfast (eggs with bacon, fruits and rolls with jam and coffee, tea and juice) was delicious. Connie's dogs are very friendly and have welcomed us on arrival. Impressive are also the hummingbirds, which fly everywhere on the terrace. We can only recommend the property and would come back anytime.

  • Great hospitality and house! I love the location. It felt great getting away from the city. My family and I had an awesome time. Larry and Merili responded quickly whenever I had a question or concern. They provided a welcome letter before our stay with all information that seemed suitable and helpful to know for our stay. My family and I didn’t swim in the lake because it had a lot of moss in it but we used the boats and we got to enjoy it.

  • In the Sierra Inn, we had one of the best memory. It was Thanksgiving night. The room is small but clean and nite and you can get everything you need. The place location is perfect. It's just near the entrance of Kings Canyon national park like 15~20 mins driving. It should be the closest inn outside the national park. Host were very kind and helpful. She cooked the best breakfast for us, guided us the way to the national park and provided us a great place for us to cook hotpot in dinner since it's Thanksgiving and they closed the restaurant for a week. There are people playing guitar in restaurant and bar though they are closed you can stay around there. A couple of guests did a perfect guitar show for us.

  • Everything as described. Very quite and comfortable, the room is in the separated building from the rest of a house. We had zero worries and distractions, one of the best nights in our journey.

    Nikita2019-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • Anna's home is as described. The room gave us a good night's sleep. The accommodation is small but quiet and perfect to be quiet with children. Thanks to Anna and Bogdan for their welcome ...

  • Good, clean place. Great after hard exploring of Sequoia National Forest! Can recommend!

    Serhii2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • This was just what we needed, a quiet place to sleep. The bed was comfortable, plenty of space. When we arrived at the driveway, we were greeted by their two black dogs, who walked us, as we drove, up to the house. If you're an animal lover, you'll think it's the cutest! If you're not, it's still the cutest! The host was quick to respond and very pleasant! Would definitely come again!

  • We had a wonderful evening and night at Bogdan, Anna and their children. If you want to rent a nice room close to the Sequoia Park, this is the place to go. We were very touched by the kindness of this family, and their home that breathes happiness. Again thank you for everything, we will return with great pleasure. See you soon in France! Kim & Brice.

  • I enjoyed my stay and the beautiful view Ronnie was a great host and has great hospitality

    Emily2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed staying at Ronnie's cabin. The star gazing was amazing and the snacks were a great touch for the un-prepared travelers (me).

    Joe2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin on the edge of Sequoia / Kings Canyon is a perfect getaway! Cold AC, hot water, comfortable bed, and a peaceful deck - what more could you ask for? Ronnie was gracious and generous with his time when we arrived, walking us through the house and showing us everything we needed for a great stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our time - highly recommend.

    Beth2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful place to stay just outside of the national parks. Absolutely lovely.

    Claire2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful two story guest house in a farm. Close to the park entrance. Spacious kitchen and living room. Confortable bed and clean shower. Everything we can expect is here.

    Jiang2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • What a gorgeous guesthouse Ronnie and his wife created! Very cozy, easy to find, spacious, quiet, with incredible views from the patio balcony in the morning. Immaculate and well decorated... Ronnie was so kind and helpful about how to get to Sequoia/Kings Canyon. It’s about 30 minutes away and is a beautiful drive. My mother and I loved staying here! All the amenities you could need. Perfect for couples or quiet alone time!

You will feel right at home in our darling cabins! Over the top linens with allergen/mite covers. Roomy shower shampoo and body wash available. Oh, did I mention clean? 👍🏻 and *** I want my guests to be aware of the fact that during this time we are going above and beyond our regular HIGH standard of disinfecting and cleaning!
We are on two acres and they are yours to explore. We are in a mountainous area with different terrain, and who knows what you may come upon. I have seen wild turkeys, quail, lizards, squirrels etc., we do maintain a pest service however, as my family tells me “you cannot conquer nature” 🤦🏻‍♀️ In the front of our cabins is our coffeehouse where we serve espresso coffee drinks hot, blended or iced, smoothies, Italian sodas, we make all of our bagels, scones, cookies etc. on site. Our coffeehouse hours are 8-2 Friday - Monday, with your nights stay (with the exception of Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights in this case I will leave goodies in your cabin) you receive a coffee and a baked good. Mimi :)
Within 16 minutes to the entrance to Kings Canyon/Sequoia NP big stump entrance. 20 minutes to the General Grant tree and village.
  • A wonderful oasis in the foothills. Wild turkeys, quail, deer, Canadian geese, coffee, and bangles 😎

  • Mimi is a gracious hostess and her space is warm and inviting, clean and well appointed! You won't be disappointed.

    Jennifer2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this place! The pictures don’t do it justice. The location is great if you’re traveling to Kings Canyon. It is very clean and had just what we needed for our one night stay. As we arrived we received some delicious cookies. We also enjoyed our complimentary coffee and baked good from the coffee house a few feet away. The scones are amazing! We look forward to staying here again the next time we drive north.

    Yessica2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Very cool place. I came to get some much needed time for deep study and reflection. The cabin and coffee shop combo was a unique experience. The cabin was very comfortable and the coffee shop provided a friendly and comfortable atmosphere. Also the pastries and coffee were very good. I’ll be back.

    Logan2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Mimi’s place was such a cute cozy quiet get away! Great for a weekend away from the city and super close to the beautiful Sequoia-Kings park. Be ready for a semi service area and don’t get mixed up with the restaurant timings or you will starve! Lol. Overall a great trip and we will definitely be coming back here!

    Tyler2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was perfect for the stay, the area is beautiful and the coffee shop being so close was amazing. I heard they bake everything there and you can tell - highly advise the maple scone and any of their fresh bagels! Can’t wait to stay again.

    Nick2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • This little cottage is such a gem at the foot of the National Park Entrance. Mimi has thought of everything you could need or want in an absolutely adorable cottage. Her little tasteful touches are everywhere. You can feel the love that went into updating these historic cabins. The best coffee and pastries start your day off on a sweet note. So glad we got to meet Mimi on our way out to the park. You will not be disappointed!

    Bruce And Carla2019-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • Very cozy cottage to spend a night or two. Spent the late afternoons sitting outside on the patio, watching the wild turkeys roam around the yard. They have all the amenities inside the house that you would need, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the bathroom. In the main area there was Keurig with K-Cups, there were also plenty of tea bags in various flavors for the tea drinker. Now one of the best parts was the coffee/bakery just a few steps from the porch. Mimi owns the cottages and the bakery. The stay at the cottage includes a specialty coffee or chai and a scone or cinnamon roll, my favorite part of the morning, a pumpkin chai latte. The location is close to King Canyon and Sequoia National Park. If I’m ever back in this area I would stay there again.

  • A really nice place. Perfect for a trip weekend in Sequoia park and Kings Canyon National park

  • It was a really nice stay with Donald. Lovely location in the farm. Thanks for the hospitality!

    Oksana2019-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Donald’s place was perfect for my family. The five of us needed a place to stay near Sequoia national park and there weren’t many affordable, clean options. Donald was great, communicated quickly and the space was just as imagined.

    Cassandra2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • All good. Nice views and quietness

    Angie And Pablo2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice place to stay with super friendly animals. A 35 min drive to Kings Canyon NP.

    Yunxuan2019-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful location, amazing view. Donald and Lisa were friendly and helpful. We had two toddlers in our group who loved the stay as there are bunch of farm animals and Donald gave us a tour on day 1. We visited the animals every morning and evening. Lisa set up a mini pool for the kids one evening, after a sweaty day at park.

    Priyanka2019-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I had a great time here. The room was spacious and clean. You have your own restroom and have a common kitchen/living area. The best part for us, however, was meeting the cows, goat, chickens and ducks. You really are in a farm/ranch and the area is surrounded by beautiful oak trees. The home is conveniently located near the Kings Canyon and Sequoia Forest entrance, it takes about 30 minutes to get to one of the main entrances (Big Stump gate). There is also gas and food minutes away from the home. Donal and Lisa were wonderful, welcoming hosts. We definitely plan on staying here again next time we plan a visit to Kings Canyon/Sequoia Park.

  • Donald's place is on a beautiful ranch with great view, and is convenient to get to the Kings Canyon & Sequoia NP, the house is spacious and clean with cute details, Donald and Lisa are very responsive to our needs, we had a wonderful stay there, and would never forget the milky way that we could easily spot right outside the house!

Amazing view and easy location to get to- only 1.5 miles off of Hwy 180 & 18 mins to Kings Canyon Park entrance. 4.8 miles to Project Cat Haven, 1.5 miles to the best Coffee House around, gas and groceries. House has private remote gate access. All new beds & mattresses with new mattress covers & pillows. New couches, outside BBQ with patio table & chairs. Eco Friendly pellet stove, easy as pushing a button. Very relaxing and peaceful.
Living room has satellite TV, choose from 100's of DVD's or use the WiFi to use your Netflix. Enjoy family game nights using the board games provided or just enjoy the night in the front yard around the fire pit enjoying the view. The kitchen is fully stocked with all necessary pots, pans, dishes, glasses, utensils, ect if you prefer cooking in or enjoy the local restaurant or pizza parlor.
If you are here for fishing, you can fish Pine Flat Lake or the Kings River- both are about 25 mins away. You can fish higher altitude like Hume Lake or the streams that fed into Hume Lake at about a 35 min drive away. If you care to just generally check the area out you might start out at Project Cat Haven then head up into the park to see the giant Sequoias. If so you will come to fork in a road, turn right and you will go to Sequoia National Park, turn left and you will go up and around Hume Lake coming into Cedar Grove and Boyden's Cave. If your trip is a little different you can go wine tasting, get a hold of us and we can direct you to a few different wineries within a 20 minute drive. If you want a little more adventure in your trip we can get you in touch with the people for white water rafting on the upper Kings River or let you know where the locals raft at which is a nice leisure float for half the day. Numerous hiking and biking trails near by.
  • Really great place. Spacious and well kept. Make sure to wake up early to catch the sunrise over the mountains. You will not regret it. King's canyon is very close and easy to access. Go see General Grant tree!!!

  • 5EZ Ranch was spot on for the the description and pictures. Actually, the pictures don't do this place justice. The panoramic views of the valley are absolutely stunning. It's also close to Kings Canyon and Grant Grove Village.

  • This is the perfect place to come with a group of friends or family. Spacious living room, front yard, wrap around porch, and a gorgeous view.

  • Cannot recommend this place enough. It's a great value, has everything you'd need for a family and/or friends get-together, comes with beautiful views, and is a great base for exploring Kings Canyon.

  • This place is a hidden gem. Amazing views both day and night. House is very large with alot of room to roam around. The house cat was also a plus we enjoyed keeping him/her company. Kitchen amenities were all great. Rooms were very roomy and comfy. Great overall place for price and location!

  • Great hill-top view, secluded, clean and roomy. We had 6 adults + 2 kids, still lots of room to spare. The coffee/bakery shop across the street and gas station near by is extra convenience you’d appreciate. Jodi/Robert accommodated our early check-in without hesitation. We’d stay here again for sure!
