Buchan Cottage is named after John Buchan, author of "The Thirty Nine Steps", and there are 39 steps from the road level up to the private sunbathing terrace in the garden. The cottage is a 5 minute walk to the shops, pubs and restaurants of Dulverton, and a short drive or a longer hike to the woods and moors of Exmoor National Park. We are very well equipped and comfortable, with a wood burning stove for winter evenings. We welcome dogs, so bring yours and come for a wonderful stay!
Wonderfully positioned on the edge of Dulverton, we are well placed to explore the whole of Exmoor, and yet it is a short stroll home from the pub or restaurant at night - no need for designated drivers here!
Dulverton is a uniquely friendly small town. It has 2 deli's, a wonderful second hand bookshop, gift shops, boutiques and a gents outfitters and many more small independent shops........England as it used to be! The famous "Woods" bar and restaurant is a must - multiple winner of "National Wine Pub of the Year", our guests always recommend a meal here, and another at "The Bridge", a quintessential traditional English pub, serving the delicious "Exmoor Ale". Tongdam Thai Restaurant has a lovely garden terrace, strung with fairy lights for summer, and a cosy woodburner for winter nights, you can even take your dog with you!
  • This really is a superb well equipped and clean little cottage overlooking the river. We had a lovely long weekend with our dog walking on the moor and along river valleys. We especially enjoyed being able to stroll into the pubs in the evening to have fabulous meals. (Particularly at Woods). This was our second stay in Buchan Cottage and we will certainly be back.

  • The cottage location was perfect - Dulverton is a great little town in a very scenic location, the cottage itself was very picturesque with nice little touches that made us feel welcome. We stayed in winter and it was nippy but we chose it for the log burner and as soon as that’s going it’s very cosy. Views from the house and sun terrace are fantastic - it would be lovely to have a drink out there in summer!

  • A cosy, comfortable and no-frills base to explore Exmoor, with the added bonus of a running water soundtrack from the weir outside. A 5 minute walk into Dulverton and all its delights.

  • Buchan Cottage is in a great location and a perfect getaway for a break in Exmoor. Dulverton is a lovely village with a COOP a short walk away which was great for stocking up on supplies. The cottage had everything we needed and was lovely and cosy and perfect for our New Year break. Lovely comfy beds and lovely to listen to the sound of the weir as you fall asleep at night.

    Mandy2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • The location here is amazing, looking out over the river, really quiet but also with life around. Well equipped.

    Marcus2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • A spacious, clean and well equipped cottage. Location was perfect, within a small town, with everything needed within a short walk. A great place to base yourselves for walking and exploring Exmoor.

  • Jennie and Malcolm's place is ideal for anyone looking for a nice cosy base for exploring Exmoor. We loved Dulverton - nice pubs and other amenities - and had a great walk from the front door to Tarr Steps and to the Tarr Farm Inn next to them for a lovely lunch. The house is ideal for a couple or a small family. Jennie and Malcolm great hosts too.

    Shaun2019-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • It was the most wonderful stay at Jennie and Malcolm's place. The cottage was very comfortable and clean with everything we needed as a family. Jennie was very kind and patient with us when we found it difficult to find the place...as we didn't really read the instructions properly. The cottage is five minutes walk from the canter of Dulverton with lovely shops and friendly people. Woods restaurant was amazing, and we spent another night at the Bridge Inn pub that was so friendly....quiz night recommended. We stayed for 3 days and had only to step out from the cottage and in to the Exmoor park. In all - obsoletely smashing stay!

This is a newly refurbished Annexe - light and airy with a new shower room and adjoining WC. There are tea and coffee making facilities with essentials provided, and a fridge for your convenience. The property is situated ten minutes from Tiverton and two minutes from the A361 - the main route in to North Devon and Exmoor, and North Cornwall. Extra service: we welcome your dog at an extra charge of £5 per night. If there is more than one dog, please chat to us first
The property is situated on the edge of Exmoor in an elevated south facing position with stunning views towards Dartmoor. It has a large level dog proof garden and no near neighbours. Rolling farmland and woodland are a feast for the eyes!
The property is positioned midway between the two villages of Stoodleigh and Oakford, both pretty villages with pubs and churches. The area is tranquil and rural with spectacular views - yet not isolated. Tiverton is a ten minute drive away with shops and supermarkets and a railway station. There are many walks from the property - particularly of interest to those guests that bring their canine friends!
  • We stayed here for 4 months after we sold our house before moving to the Midlands. As a long let, Sarah added extra amenities i.e. a fridge, armchairs, microwave, heater to make our stay during the winter months cosy and homely. The accommodation was cleaned weekly with fluffy fresh towels. Sarah was a great host, contacting us regularly to make sure we were happy. The views were amazing and we would not hesitate to recommend Sarah’s place for short or long stays.

    Karen2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed just one night at Sarah’s place as I was going to a friend’s party nearby, so unfortunately I didn’t spend that much time there. It is a really lovely place, with fabulous views from the deck outside the room; it would be perfect for a longer stay especially in the summer when you could sit out there in the evenings! The room itself was great, with a very comfortable bed, plenty of storage, and a decent TV (which I didn’t watch but did use as a radio while I was getting ready to go out). The small lobby area has a kettle, fridge and the makings of tea and coffee, and there is a beautiful shower room and separate toilet. Everything is stylishly decorated in relaxing tones, and was sparkling clean.

  • Sweet little place, lovely and clean with THE BEST views in the area! So relaxing sitting outside drinking a cuppa or a glass of wine overlooking the rolling hills. Definitely recommend, and if you're in the area don't miss out on a meal in the stunning historical The Stag pub, 2 miles away and 800 years old!

  • The great place to stay and close to local pubs and restaurants. Lovely decoration and very comfortable

    Satoko2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at The Garden Cottage. All the added extras such a coffee, milk, eggs etc were very much appreciated and made life so much easier. The Garden Cottage was very clean and tidy and was the perfect pit stop for our one night stay after a long drive down on the way to visit friends.

    Jonny2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • We only stayed one night at Garden Cottage but wished we could have stayed longer! Perfectly located near to great local amenities and lovely walks, such a lovely spot to unwind and completely switch off. Clare had thought of everything, with special touches throughout. A wonderful, peaceful (and spotless) cottage with everything you could possibly need. Can’t wait to go back!

    Heather2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Just returned from a three night stay in this lovely cottage in the sweet village of Bampton. Lots of lovely walks in the nearby National Park. Clare was fabulous host and the cottage was warm and cosy. The dogs loved it too!

    Clive2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • What a little gem! Perfect location in the village and close to lots of great eateries. Lovely fish and chips from the local chip shop, breakfast at the Toucan (super dog friendly) and evening meal at The Swan. The accommodation was immaculately clean and well equipped. We were slightly worried when it said electric heating but they were efficient heaters rather than night storage heaters and kept the place really cosy even during Storm Ciara. The woodburner was lovely for nights in and Clare kept us topped up with logs. Perfect base for us to explore the area with our dog. Thank you Clare.

    Tori2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Cosy, beautifully furnished and in a handy location close to the village and walks, what’s not to love about this cottage? We visited in January and so the log-burning stove was a highlight for us. Clare made us welcome and the complimentary groceries were a surprise and much appreciated. Would definitely recommend.

    Bill2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • A cosy and spotlessly clean cottage for 2. Clare was so thoughtful and provided all the essentials (and more) for our stay. Fantastic communications and we would highly recommend to any couple wanting to visit the area...

  • Fantastic!

  • Second visit to Sausage Cottage and as good, if not better than the first visit as we were familiar with everything so settled in super quick. We worked out what was so successful about it - it feels very welcoming and nothing is locked away, leaving you with a feeling of mutual trust. The house is sensitively but cleverly extended to its maximum leaving you with lots of different spaces to occupy (albeit small cosy spaces mostly!). Red lion is a bonus and my husband took the children there in turns for an early evening card game and some one on one time most evenings. My mum visited at the end and my sister at the beginning and there was plenty of space for us. Wet week but still managed a blustery walk to Dunkery Beacon as as well as well as the usual local walks. Also had a decent meal at the Exeter Inn pub (which is much improved under new management) and a great meal at Woods in Dulverton as usual. Thank you!

    Rosie2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great relaxing weekend at Sausage Cottage. Would definitely visit again.

  • Gorgeous higgledy-piggledy character cottage in cosy little Devon village. We absolutely loved our stay for New Year with three generations of family. All well sized bedrooms, clean and cosy cottage. We may well be back next year!! Thanks for a fab stay!

    Claudia2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic cottage, beautifully decorated and comfortable. Much larger than it looks from the outside but still cosy with lovely wood burner in the sitting room. Our family of 7 fitted very easily and we all loved it. Pub next door great too and in breathtaking countryside. Highly recommend.

    Naia2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Arrived back from Sausage cottage a couple of days ago, Fab place, absolutely love the cottage, If you ever want to sell, let me know (i'm serious), much bigger inside than expected, took a while to explore. We loved the quirkiness of every room, even though its Dec, each room got toastie quick. I think summer (dryer days) would be more enjoyable though for obvious reasons, especially the garden and surrounding walks. Red Lion pub is a dream distance away for me and a great night out, tiny village but we liked it very much, thanks, G

Superfast broadband, Sky TV including Movies, Sky Sports and BT Sport. Outside table, chairs and barbecue. There are extensive portfolios in the house detailing our favourite pubs and restaurants, walks and days out.

The utility room has an automatic washing machine and separate tumble drier. There is a large TV. A Bluetooth speaker lets you play your own music. WiFi is available throughout the apartment.
Very centrally situated in Mid-Devon. Rural and peaceful. 5 minutes drive from North Devon Link road, A361 giving excellent links to M5, North Devon coast etc. 10 minutes from Tiverton with supermarkets etc.

  • A beautiful and modern flat in a great countryside location. Very comfortable with great facilities and friendly and helpful hosts!

    Adam2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • What a fabulous place! My husband and I stayed here for 3 weeks ‘working from home’ but in this lovely Airbnb. The WiFi made it possible but the thoughtful details made it a home from home. We both worked at the table after extending it out and had no trouble. Plenty of pubs nearby and there’s plenty of info about the pubs and also walks and things to do. Kitchen was super, underfloor heating in the bathroom was delicious, the bed was warm and comfy, the washing machine was great, everywhere was so clean, plenty of parking and we even snuck our bikes into the barn outside. It was a bit hilly for cycling in my opinion but my husband went out most days. There’s so much of Devon to see from this base, we would come back and do it all over again! Also communication was quick and lovely and we were met in person on arrival. Can’t fault anything!

Spacious and comfortable self-contained accommodation with expansive south facing views of the quiet Devon countryside. Consisting of the converted first floor of a historic farm building, The Granary is conveniently located close to Exmoor, Dartmoor and north and south coast beaches. The property has a double and twin bedrooms, bathroom (bath with shower), kitchen (oven, washing machine and fridge) and living room with dining area. Private garden with space to park two cars.
The space is entirely self contained and private.
We are in a rural location conveniently placed just 10 minutes outside Tiverton. Tiverton is a medium sized market town with a mainline trainline into London Paddington, remains of medieval castle, supermarkets, weekly centuries old Pannier market, a new swimming pool and plenty of parkland. Gold Street is the independent shop quarter and there are a plethora of cafes to enjoy. We enjoy visiting 'Knightshayes' National Trust property only 10 mins away on the outskirts of Tiverton and the wonderful parkland and gardens there. Beautiful and historic Exeter is 40 mins away. Barnstaple is 40 mins away. Taunton is 35 mins away. Alternatively you may simply enjoy a 40 min stroll into Rackenford to sample the delights of 'The Stag' Inn, delicious food served at the latter end of the week. We are close to National Cycle Route 3 between Lands' End and Bristol, which passes through beautiful Dulverton on the edge of Exmoor (20 mins away). Our favourite coastal locations are Lynton/Lynmouth on the north coast (1 hour), and family beach at 'Putsborough' beach near the surfing havens at Croyde and Woolacombe (just over an hour). Child-friendly activities are plentiful, our favourites being the 'Devon Railway Centre' at Bickleigh Mill and 'Quince Honey Farm' just near South Molton. Both have inside and outside activities in case of inclement weather. We are excellently places for craft courses held at ‘The Bulworthy Project’ . However, one of the best things to do with little ones is a short walk down our pretty quiet lane to paddle at the little stream at the end! We've compiled a folder containing local activities and sights of interest for you to browse through when you arrive.

Welcome to my cosy home in the delightful village of Bampton. Easily accessible from Tiverton Parkway station and Junction 27 of the M5, it is a great base from which to explore beautiful Exmoor and within easy reach of Exeter, Taunton and the north and south coasts of Devon. Bampton has a great pub, excellent restaurants, coffee shops and bakery. A great base for cyclists, walkers, guests visiting family or attending weddings. I live alone with my small dog and look forward to your visit!
The double room is extremely comfortable and although overlooking the village high street is very quiet at night. You are welcome to make coffee and tea in the kitchen and help yourself to bread from the bakery next door. If the weather is nice, the garden offers a great place for breakfast. There is a small bedroom with a sofabed which can be booked in addition to the double bedroom - This cannot be booked without booking the main room.
Bampton is a pretty small town or large village with a great bakery, butcher, greengrocer and a good choice of restaurants and pubs. It is easily accesible to Exmoor
  • Beautiful place to stay! Very stylish and very clean. The location to visit Exmoor National Park is perfect. The hostess has very great tips for us. Nice place, nice people! Always my pleasure! Lg Angela

Cove village is set in mid Devon, just 4 miles off the North Devon link road and the town of Tiverton. There is easy access to both Exmoor and Dartmoor. • A truly lovely home tucked away from the main road, but very easy to get to. Expect a clean room and warm welcome from Jane and Chris, and possibly even their friendly dog, Bumble. They offered helpful local tips, hot tea at any hour and a lovely breakfast that accommodated dietary needs. If you need a quiet place to stay, a few minutes drive from Bampton, this is a wonderful option.

  • Everything about Jane & Chris's place is great, from their lovely cute and friendly dog Bumble, to the super shower, and log fire in the private living room. The place is in a gorgeously historical location, next to a ruined mill, where it would be great to sit in warmer weather. Jane was very attentive, and made sure we always had everything we wanted, but we were left to enjoy our privacy too. Couldn't have wished for a better experience. Highly recommended.

Wisteria Cottage is a cosy weekend B & B in the heart of the picturesque town of Dulverton, situated on the southern edge of Exmoor National Park. The one double room is in a private annexe, so you can come and go as you please. The room is warm, quiet and features an en-suite shower and wc. Breakfast is included in the price, featuring homemade artisan breads and you can choose between the traditional Full English and other cooked breakfasts such as Eggs Benedict and Huevos Rancheros.
The fact we only cater for one party of guests at a time means that the atmosphere is very laid back – we want our guests to have a really relaxing stay. We take our time in preparing breakfast just the way the guests want it and the guests can take their time to enjoy it.
Dulverton is the perfect base for exploring all that Exmoor and the surrounding areas have to offer. The town itself has a selection of good pubs, restaurants and cafes, so regardless of whether you have been for an all day hike, a 50 mile bike ride or you’ve just been browsing the local shops, you will not be short of choice for places to satisfy your appetite or quench your thirst. There are plenty of independent shops where you can buy everything from locally produced cakes and pasties to gifts, clothing and items for the home. There is also a supermarket for those essentials. Once you leave the town, you can then enjoy the scenery that Exmoor is renowned for; from the exposed high moors to secluded wooded valleys, fast flowing rivers and the spectacular cliffs on the north coast. There are plenty of picturesque villages and small towns, together with a variety of attractions suitable for all ages and interests.
  • Lee is an outstanding cook. He made us the best breakfasts we'd ever eaten. He cooks with such care and attention and it really does show. The room is wonderful .. the perfect temperature even during the height of storm Dennis. Chocolate flapjacks in the room and fresh milk were respectively indulgent and thoughtful. The bed was really comfy and the shower and bathroom were great ... Plenty of hot water and lovely linens. Thank you Lee, we'll be back.

Little Wood is 7 acres of secluded, tranquil deciduous woodland, set in a quiet valley near to the village of Stoodleigh in Mid Devon. Ideal for those wanting a secure place to wild-camp and get back to nature for few days, surrounded by green ferns, tall trees and big sky. Bring your own tent or use the many trees to rig up your basha and your hammock. Check out our other listing that includes the use of Tentsile Stingray 3 man tree-tent, pitched ready to go on your arrival.
We would recommend contacting us before you plan your stay and we will gladly talk through what's on site and how you can prepare for your wild-camp adventure. We do not live on site but if you prefer, we would stay on site long enough to make sure you're all good-to-go. Whilst on site, we'd gladly spend time to share our knowledge of the woods and the nature within. Here is a link to a PDF that will tell you more about the woodland. https://home.mycloud.com/action/share/df01bdc3-cbbf-4738-a75c-20e220e2adfb There is a long-drop outdoor covered toilet on site. You would also have access to the wooden shelter should the elements really take a turn for the worst or if you want to make your valuables more secure should you wish to go offsite to explore the surrounding area. (The wooden shelter is very basic, it will keep you dry, there are no beds).
  • A nature enthusiasts dream! This wild camping location is truly stunning. Perched up high on the edge of the Exmoor National Park, you feel like you are very much immersed in nature. I was lucky enough to see deer, tawny owls, buzzards, squirrels and numerous birds. There is a basic toilet and wooden shelter if the weather turns. I pitched my hammock among the trees and got woken up by the most amazing sunrise. If you want a 5 star hotel, this isn’t for you but if you want a unique location for wild camping and the chance to have some fantastic wildlife encounters...then book!!

Tiverton 7 miles*Bampton 5 miles*Pub 1.5 miles*Shop 4 miles*Exmoor 7 miles The Owlet at Bellbrook is set in the middle one of the prettiest trout fisheries in the country. It is very private and beautifully rural; an absolute haven of peace and tranquillity. The caravan is set in a secluded position - facing one of the fishing lakes & surrounded by leafy foliage & trees. The melodious birdsong, iridescent dragon flies & the gentle ‘plopping’ sound of trout jumping in the distance in the lake below is mesmerising. We would highly recommend this idyllic place to anyone - fisherperson or non fisherperson, artist, writer or just nature lovers who's main agenda is tranquility, relaxation, decent walks, a spot of night star gazing & a complete recharging of batteries! The Owlet is bright and welcoming with a lovely log burner (all wood is included). There is a well equipped galley kitchen and a cosy living area which has plenty of comfy seating and a folding table. The bathroom has a shower, toilet and sink - all on mains water. Here on the farm we breed our own rare Devon Closewool sheep and at lambing time of year our fields are full of lambs. We also sell our own highest welfare produce: lamb, eggs and the freshest ever trout! For days out there is plenty to do within 30 minutes drive such as two National Trust properties, Devon Railway Centre, Bickleigh Mill, Quince Honey Farm, Exmoor Pony Centre (combine this with a visit to Dulverton for cream tea) and Tiverton has a canal with a cafe, horse drawn barge, a museum and castle as well as two very nice parks if you're coming with children. The is also an excellent riding stables nearby that takes riders along Exmoor and if you don't mind travelling for 45 minutes you'll get to the beach or Lynton & Lynmouth. Access to this hidden gem is via a 500m stone farm track (a bit bumpy but part of the adventure) or by parking in the fishery car park and walking the scenic 5 minutes. You can self check in anytime after 4pm or drive to the fishery and we will meet you (4pm to 6pm only). ***One dog and children are most welcome. We respectfully ask that dogs are kept off the beds and sofas. ***Please be aware that the decking is raised and unfenced, as are the lakes. ***Whilst we are a small holding regretfully are unable to offer any 'meet & greet' opportunities with the animals.
Bellbrook Fishery is between Tiverton and Bampton and only 20 minutes from Exmoor. The nearest pub is in Oakford 1.5 miles away. More shops and supermarkets can be found in Tiverton which is 15 minutes drive – there is also a regular pannier market with tempting local produce. It is an ideal area for exploring Devon on foot or by bike.
  • A great place for a country retreat in a beautiful valley. Absolute peace and such big night skies- we even saw a shooting star. A Perfect way to end our summer holidays. Thank you. The Russell’s

    Richard2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely little place to unwind for a few days and switch off from the rest of the world. No internet signal which we loved but not for everybody! Close to local towns, 2 large supermarkets within a 15 minute drive and plenty of places to walk. Thoughtful touches from the host such as chocolates and homemade cordial made it a very welcoming place

    Doran2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Ellen’s place is a very peaceful, idillic place to stay, particularly if you enjoy fly fishing!

    Tom2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • What a gorgeous little find, we were lucky enough to spend four nights at the Owlet.... unfortunately it rained a lot... but luckily I love the sound of the rain on the caravan and it didn’t stop us getting out and enjoying the surrounding areas. The caravan was perfect for our family of 3. Ellen had left lovely little touches, we loved the homemade elderflower cordial and she had even used a special duvet cover for our daughter! The wood burner was very cosy in the evenings and we all felt totally refreshed and recharged when we left. The views are lovely to wake up to and it was very private. We fed the horses carrots which was great fun and enjoyed walking around the fishing lakes. We had some great days out too we visited Exmoor zoo, the Quince honey farm, had a long bike ride along the grand western canal, visited Liznojan bookshop and had lunch on the river at fisherman’s cot in Bickleigh. Thank you Ellen and Chris. We plan to return soon!

    Natasha2019-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • Ellen and Chris are amazing hosts. The caravan is located in an amazing location, the pictures on Airbnb don't do it justice. We also had fly fishing lessons with Chris, he is an excellent teacher and was very patient with the kids. I would recommend highly and would return again.

    Rodrigo2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Ellens accommodation was, as she discribed, a piece of heaven! There was the rest, nature and privacy on one side and in a nice drive we were at the tourist beaches at Torquay, thainton, nightshayes, exeter or Bristol. Still we woke up with nothing around us but nature. We had a great time going back to basics with all opportunity to seek the crowd. Good quality time with the family around the camp fire.

    Dennis2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • This is a very special, very nice situated cabin with a stunning view and lovely natural surroundings. It's a good place to rest and enjoy the beauty of nature and silence. The cabin is very private with your own terras and grounds, it's very quit, we see nobody in three days except from the lovely owner of the land and cabin. We will recommend this place to people who are looking for rest and who love nature.

    Lotte2019-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • Ellen's little "house" is situated in a small valley next to a few ponds, where you feel completely casted away from the hustle and bustle. It is clean and it is fun to play with the fireplace - it is true, you still need it during the night in July. Both Chris and Ellen are friendly and quickly responded our queries. Love to stay here again!

Garden flat, ideal for pet lovers and families looking for an affordable rural retreat. Situated at the end of a larger holiday cottage the flat has a private entrance, enclosed garden, parking for one car, large bedroom with a king-size bed and sofa bed, small single bedroom, lounge/diner, kitchen & bathroom. Situated on the edge of Exmoor yet only 20 minutes off J27 of the M5, we're ideally situated for visiting Exmoor or travelling a little further to beaches and attractions of North Devon.
Alder Cottage is a former cowshed which is now a holiday cottage. The garden flat is located at the far end of the cottage with a private entrance and enclosed garden. There is parking for 1 - 2 cars at the rear of the cottage. The village has communal grounds and woodlands, as well as being situated on a public bridleway. It's a very quiet peaceful village. The flat is located next to the Blackerton Ecocentre which is a large renovation project for us. There's no ongoing building work but there is a lot of tidying to do.
The village is situated just under 20 minutes off the M5 (junction 27) and we are a few minutes' drive from Exmoor and about 40 minutes from the nearest beach so very well situated for country getaways. The nearest shop is 5 miles (about 15 minutes' drive) away, open 6am - 11pm. There is a great tapas bar, Wild Woods Tapas Bar, about a mile down the road (open for advance bookings of 6 or more people) and several nearby local country pubs that we can recommend. The village itself is very quiet, there are just 15 houses here, and the village is accessed via a private driveway so it's self-contained.
  • My family and I stayed for one night at the Garden Flat. We had a peaceful and relaxing night stay after travelling for more than 7 hours. Victoria's communication was excellent. Thank you once again.

    Paul2019-12-28T00:00:00Z

  • The Location of this flat is situated in a beautiful rural setting. A very quite area, with your own private garden. The flat was much bigger than we expected, although there were only two of us, there is plenty of space for four.

  • We had a wonderful two weeks stay, at Victorias house. Victoria and Jake are very nice and kind people. When we had a question or a little problem, they were there for us as fast as possible. The house is a perfect place for families and there pets. And the area around is nice for walks and lots to discover.

  • Victoria’s garden flat is spacious, comfortable and conveniently located to Exmoor National Park. The flat is clean and tidy and the beds are very comfortable. Would recommend this garden flat and would stay again if in the area. We are travellers from Australia. Victoria is a great host.

  • Proffitts Cottage was a wonderful base for our very rainy weekend on Exmoor. Super clean, nice and warm and all the necessary amenities. Dulverton has everything needed and the coop is perfectly equipped for a decent supermarket shop. We visited Doniford farm park with our little girl which was a nice half day activity and the cakes were fantastic! There is an inside play area (handy for wet days). Tarr steps was beautiful and the pub/cafe was very welcoming even to our muddy shoes. Great trip. Would highly recommend.

Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families, big groups and up to 2 dogs. The cottage is centrally heated and also has log burners for that cosy feeling. It is 5 minutes walk from Dulverton town pubs and restaurants so park up at the end of the day and relax; no need to worry about whose turn to drive. There is a riverside garden on the other side of the road for use from Easter - September, great for a relaxing lunch and total peace.
There is a cosy sitting room with log burner, a separate dining room and a kitchen. A bathroom upstairs and a shower room downstairs. There are many places to visit on Exmoor eg Dunster Castle, Tarr Steps, Wimbleball lake for water activities, Lynton and Lynmouth, also snowdrop valley in February. The walking is fantastic with moorland and coastal areas, you can walk from the front door. Dulverton itself has a variety of shops, an art gallery, Exmoor National Park Headquarters and visitor centre and heritage centre to visit.
Dulverton is a thriving small town in the Somerset side of Exmoor. There are lovely welcoming pubs and restaurants within the town and also further afield, if you are only visiting for the weekend and want to eat out you may want to book a table in advance. It is within easy reach of the coast and less than an hour from Exeter city which is a great place to visit.
  • A charming cosy property with everything one could possibly need. Would highly recommend.

  • This is a lovely old cottage very close to the town. It is equipped in a tasteful and thoughtful manner. The shower room is very efficient - as is the central heating. A lovely garden by the river and good walks directly from the door. Parking isn't by the cottage but there are places nearby - and when once you've parked you really don't need your car. We had lovely meals at the Thai Restaurant and at The Bridge. The bakery down the lane is another bonus! We had a lovely weekend - Thank you!

  • Louise house is spectacular! It was perfectly clean, comfortable and every detail was wonderful. She welcomed us with delicious scones and gave us a lot of tips of the surrounding. In the house there are a lot of touristic maps to plan the perfect vacations. Our 3 year old son enjoyed so much a little tractor, car and playhouse :-) There is a beautiful public footpath few meters from the house. We absolutely recommend Louise house to be with or without kids 😊

  • This place is just beautiful! The lodge was spotless and so homely! The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you could need in a kitchen which was so great, beds were comfy and fresh clean white towels were great too. I defiantly recommend staying here and I will be returning too.

  • We had a fabulous time staying in the primrose cabin. The views were stunning from the deck. It was so peaceful and quiet. there are lots of lovely little towns to explore nearby and Louise gave some great recommendations. The cabin was clean and tidy with lots of extra blankets etc, perfect for a cozy autumn getaway. Louise was a great host and had even left fresh scones, jam and cream for us on arrival. Would highly recommend.

  • A clean, tidy and spacious cottage overlooking a deer park. Excellent amenities. Bedrooms are spacious with room for hanging your clothes. Nice hot tub and decking area. Very peaceful location - ideal if you just want to get away from it all. Deishan was a lovely host and very responsive to requests.

  • Nice to stay, clean and feels homely. Hot tub with the roof is nice. Quiet area, nice views.

    Andrew2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • Location was great, easy parking right next to the diggs. Nice little grass area to let the dogs toilet, Deishan also owns the fields behind and gave us directions for a nice short loop of a couple fields to excersise the dogs. Scones and eggs was a nice touch. The place itself was nice and clean, fairly new build I'd say with everything finished nicely. Outside patio area to lead to the hot tub. We'll maintained with D coming round twice a day to check it (guessing the temp and chlorine levels but I wouldn't know) heated tiled floor throughout so no worries of the dogs getting any carpets mucky.

  • Very nice cottage!

    Olga2019-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • Nibbs Cottage is truly a slice of heaven. The views are absolutely stunning ( which are made even better when viewing from the hot tub) & the lodge is clean, spacious and tastefully decorated. Deishan is a great host and the little touches such as fresh eggs and scones on arrival are just wonderful!
