  • This was a great place to stay on our road trip across Utah! It was very snowy outside, but the apartment was nice and warm, and we had a clear spot to park off the street. It's a great location near the temple and schools, and it would probably be a nice walk to restaurants during the warmer months.

  • During one day of our stay, an unusual 18 inches of snow fell and we couldn't get out of town. Becky and her family cleared the snow and brought over a box of games and toys just in case we didn't want to brave the snowy roads (we didn't). Later Becky and her family invited us over for dinner. We hung out for hours while our son played with their kids, getting all his cooped-up energy out. Despite the snow, we now have wonderful memories of Monticello, and we even made it back to Arches the next day!

  • This air b and b is a great base for explorations of Moab and Bears Ears!

  • This place is great for short stays or longer stays if you're wanting to enjoy your time in the San Juan area. The check in process was easy and provided a lot of privacy.

  • I had a great stay at Becky’s place. Nice and quiet, and the location was perfect for getting outdoors.

  • This place is even more magical than you can imagine. I can't even find the right words for our meal in the restaurant. Astounding, delicious...mouth watering. After a fabulous evening we retreated into Miss Kitty's room upstairs. Wish we had booked more than one night! If you are ever headed to The Arches National Park or the Canyonlands and want a unique experience, this is the place for you!

Pet Friendly budget cabin in our campground. Cabin has a queen bed and a side table, with a small porch with benches. Please keep your dogs either on leash or under voice control. UPDATE for 2019 We are currently renovating the campground. As a result, there is NOT a showerhouse available, and the restroom facilities will be port-a-potties with a hand washing station located close by. Sorry for the inconvenience.
  • Very cozy and clean . Excellent location

  • Great Value, if you are exploring the Southwest and are on a budget but dont wanna sacrifice vibe, charm and comfort you must visit here.

    Ruben2019-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • Nice and cozy, has a heater for warmth. Fast communication upon booking, friendly. And the porta potties where clean and stocked! Thank you so much!

  • Sweet! We arrived very late night to the cabin while traveling from Colorado to Arizona, Jerrod was quick to respond my messages and gave us very clear directions to arrive. If you follow the mile markers you can't miss it. The cabin was very clean and close to the restrooms. It was cold outside but they left the heater on and also some water (thank you). This cute cabin is "glamping" style, so dont expect double lock to close the door. But despite this, it felt cozy and safe. Did I mention how comfortable the mattress is? My 10 years old and I had a restful night of sleep and took the time to stop by the lodge to have warm breakfast before hitting the road again. We are looking forward to come back and stay longer to explore the area. Thank you Jerrod!

    Paola2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • It was exactly what I wanted, a cheap, clean, quiet bed for the night. Very simple, and a great heater (important on the first 16º night of fall). I will definitely stay here again!

    Mitch2019-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • Quick and easy location right off the main road. Price was just right for a quick stop. Comfortable bed and cool little cabin!

    Joe2019-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing space

    Justin2019-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Just what I needed -- basic, inexpensive lodging close to Canyonlands Needles district. Directions were good, and I was able to use my car's navigation to locate the turn of the highway. The cabin had two things I needed: lots of outlets to recharge my devices, and a space heater to ward off a chilly night. Bed was comfy too.

  • Check-in started out rough. Our cabin was locked and we didn’t think we’d be able to get in to have a place to sleep for the night. However, our host responded to us quickly and came down to meet us at the trapper cabin. She apologized and expressed she had one of the most chaotic days of her life due to the coronavirus and having to shut down her restaurant that day. She then told us to follow her up to the hotel and she would upgrade our stay for free. We did not end up staying in the trapper cabin and enjoyed running water for the two nights we spent. Our host got us all cozied in in the lobby and cleaned a room for our stay. She also showed us different cleaning items she had out to be sanitary during the virus outbreak as well. This happened to be our last stop on our trip due to the virus, but it was a great way to end the trip. We are thankful for the kindness our host showed and highly recommend staying at one of her Airbnb spots! -Mic & Phelps

  • This place is just a great rustic inn with all the fixings. It was very rustic and old west but with modern features like hot water and wifi. It was just a cool place to stay!

  • If you are looking for a cute cabin in the middle of nowhere it is a must stop. This cabin is inviting, clean and very comfortable. Jarrod is very nice and gives guests the ability to check in and out easily. Wonderful area and relaxing. We will be back...

    Bobbie2019-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • We rented a single cabin for night and found a great deal. The bathroom facility was under maintenance, so the toilets were port-a-potties. For one night though and just needing a place to stop on our way from one national park to the other, it was definitely a good experience. The turn off for the campground is around a bend coming down the mountain and can be hard to see, so pay attention! The food at the adjacent hotel was great and the hostess was extremely friendly and hospitable! If you're looking for a short stay that's a good deal, then I would definitely recommend!

    Devon2019-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and cozy cabin.

  • This was the second stay at this location. Highly recommended.

    Michelle2019-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • What a fun place to stay! So cute, great hosts, perfect personal touches. It was a little hard to find at first, but such a convenient location to all the local sites. I wouldn't hesitate to come back here, and will make it a definite stop my next time through the area. Thanks so much!!

    Jamie2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • A great place to stay for people traveling through the area. Easy to find based on the directions given otherwise it is a bit hidden. Close enough to Monticello so you can get any necessities in town. Great deal for the price, but I wouldn't spend more than one night roughing it without bathroom facilities besides a port a potty.

We highly recommend it, and would stay again.

  • Carrie and Ted's place met our need perfectly. Their place was clean, roomy and thoughtfully decorated. We'd stay there in a snap. There was a convenient laundry mat in town that we used to wash up our clothes before we headed back out into the wilderness.

  • Incredible location for a winter stay. We were sad to only be able to pull in for the night. The owners seem like remarkable people. Our family was blessed to be able to share their space for the night. Views, artifacts, peaceful nights. Canyon Lands by chance, will now become a tradition. Thank you!

    Glenn2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Clean and very comfortable home. Loved having our Thanksgiving there rather than a hotel . Response time was quick and friendly. Felt even more comfortable staying there as we were able to bring our dogs. Grocery store and laundromat nearby was so convenient and the Thai restaurant there was great!

    Dianne2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • Homey, quiet, wonderful view with wildlife wandering into view (deer and wild turkeys, birds). The starry nights are unmatched. The host has also provided extensive activities information and drawings from grandchildren on the refrigerator.

    Tamara2019-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Loved the location. We arrived at night and left early in the morning, so not much time there, but it was perfect for us. Having a beer at night overlooking the golf course and mountains - perfect.

    Natan2019-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • This was a perfect location to either head out on adventures or simply stay home and hang out on the porch. Plenty of room to spread out or group up in the living room. Comfortable and clean.

    Catherine2019-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • We had an absolutely wonderful time. The cabin was as described, and the binder with cabin/owner history, descriptions and local recommendations made it one of the best private residence experiences I’ve ever had — in the US and abroad!

Charming cabin located on Montezuma Canyon Ranch & Vineyards. The cabin is nestled against the sandstone canyon wall overlooking the vineyards and orchards. We are 16 miles and almost 30 minutes from Monticello. 10.5 miles of that trek is dirt road with a drop in elevation of almost 1,600 feet. The ranch is completely off-grid and very peaceful. You can explore our beautiful canyon where you may spot ancient moki steps and cliff dwellings, or check out all of beautiful southeastern Utah.
The cabin is approximately 1000 sq. ft. The kitchen, dining and living rooms are combined in one open room with cathedral ceilings. The bathroom is separate and has access from the living room or queen bedroom. The queen bed is in a separate room and the double bed is in a loft above the dining room. You can enjoy the morning sun, orchard views and a cup of coffee from the front porch. During the day you can challenge travel mates to a game of Corn Hole. Then end the day on the back deck grilling dinner and eating outside in the fresh air.
We are surrounded by several national parks, forests and monuments. Manti-La Sal National Forest (17 miles), Mesa Verde National Park ( 87 miles), Monument Valley (109 miles), Arches National Park (74 miles), Canyonlands National Park (49 miles), just to name a few. While staying at our cabin you can hike, ride your mountain bike, tour the canyon on your ATV, or walk through the vineyard and orchards and pick your own fresh organic fruit when in season.
  • This cabin is magical. The canyon was unexpectedly gorgeous. Definitely drive down during the day if possible, but for a dirt road this is very well maintained; I made it down and up again in my AWD Ford Fusion sedan without issue, and after heavy rains and some snow! The cabin itself is warm, charming, and the surroundings are serene. The book selection is wonderful! We made dinner and read Tarot by the fire. Hosts were friendly and helpful. 10/10 will return when the occasion allows! - Tanya, Proprietor, "The Little Goat House" Spokane, WA :)

  • Sheila's place was the most perfect getaway. Her communication was great and the cabin was better than described. I hope to stay here again in the future and highly recommend.

    Natalie2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Sheila’s place is amazing! It’s super clean, cozy and quiet. You are totally off the grid and that is exactly what we were looking for! We can’t wait to go back when the vineyard is green and thriving! This place is a must!

    Jennifer2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • WOW! What an amazing experience. The pictures on here look nice, but they don't do this place justice. It's at the bottom of a canyon, which really means you are isolated from the rest of the world beyond. It's very quiet and beautifully eerie down there. The space was also gorgeously decorated. We stayed here at the last minute, and it far exceeded our expectations. It's really a unique experience. One of the nicest places I've ever stayed anywhere. Thank you so much!

    Max2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely beautiful location at the bottom of the canyon. Perfectly appointed cabin. Between the wood stove and supplemental heater it got plenty toasty on the cold nights we were there. No wifi/cell service at the cabin but we were welcomed at Sheila's mom's place one house down when we needed anything. Definitely recommend a 4wd in the winter (our 2wd SUV struggled to get out of the canyon). Sheila and her family were so welcoming and helpful, would come back in a heartbeat next time we're in the area.

    Laura2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • I can’t say enough good things about are stay! It was quaint, cozy, quiet and comfortable. The property was so beautiful and the hosts were amazing and made sure everything was well taken care of! Perfect way to ring in the New Year!

    Emilee2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • I definitely hope to stay at this cozy cabin again in the future! We had the added surprise of 8” of snow the day we arrived (I would recommend arriving during daylight hours for the drive down the canyon!) which made it all the more magical. We loved the wood burning stove, the animals on the property and our hosts even gave us some oil (which I forgot) so I could bake my partner a birthday cake 🙌 thank you!

  • Jerry’s cabin was the perfect getaway for my night in Monticello. The cabin was exactly as pictured, was super clean, and had all the amenities listed. Check in process was seamless, as Jerry sent all information ahead of time. He was also very easy to communicate with and quick to respond. I’d highly recommend staying here if you’re in the area!

  • Very unique and wonderful little lodge. We felt like we were staying at a friends house. This will be our new go to whenever we are visiting Canyonlands!

  • We had a great time here. The room was comfortable and had a nice little private balcony. Everything was sparkling clean, and the western style decor of the room and the entire place was spot on and enjoyable. The restaurant was quiet but with great food. We felt super welcome and safe during this stay on our way to the Grand Canyon. A lovely and fun place.

Log cabin conveniently located to Arches National Park, Canyonlands National Park, Mesa Verde and Bears Ears. Fully stocked kitchen, and pet friendly making this perfect for your family or large group. Escape the heat and congestion of Moab and come experience Roughlock.
This location has an immense amount of history dating back to when wagon teams would stop here to equip their wagons with Roughlocks - a type of braking system to control the speed of downhill wagons. There have been countless westerns filmed here and in the surrounding area, and where the steakhouse now lives was originally an antique shop and trading post. Today we give a respectful nod throughout the property to the men and women who helped settle the West
  • The stay was really great. The perfect ambiance that we were looking for. There is no network coverage in the area. The only concern we had was the wifi service. It was very slow and difficult to get connected. Other than that very good cabin and good stay.

    GopiKrishnan2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • This place is like a step back in time! Super cool decor that takes you back in time, while clean and having all the amenities you’ll need! This is a great place!

  • Amazing place and great unexpected value! This place has historic charm and felt too big for just 2 of us (s o many bedrooms!). We were pleasantly surprised! No complaints. Well stocked kitchen and would be perfect to come back with friends if adventuring near Moab/other national parks nearby. Jerrod was super friendly and the fact that they are dog friendly and don’t ask extra for your 4-legged friend is a huge plus! (Just be respectful, obviously). Thank you Jerrod! We’ll be back. Glad we stumbled upon your awesome place :).

    Suzanna2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved staying here! It was so cute and like taking a step back in time! We got engaged the weekend we stayed here and it will forever hold a spot in our hearts. The cabin was clean and there was a lot of space. Jerrod was quick to respond to all of our questions and very helpful. We are already planning on staying here again!

  • The Lodge was very comfortable and spacious! We had everything we needed. We loved walking the property and that this is a pet friendly stay! We also loved being greeted by the sweet “barn” kitties. So friendly! Jerrod was an exceptional communicator and went above and beyond to accommodate a change in our reservation at the last minute that we appreciated so much!

The Sleepy Sunbeam Guest Barn was originally a barn in the 1920's and over the last century was gradually remodeled into the home it is today. You have chosen the Canyon Wren Room, on the main floor, conveniently across the hall from the bathroom.
The Canyon Wren Room is a cozy room with a queen bed and an east facing window that looks out across the back deck to a view of the San Juan Mountains. The room is on the main level, decorated in grey, white, black and natural wood tones. Located right next to the slightly larger Western Tanager Camp Room, your room is right across the hall from the bathroom. When there are guests in the Camp Room the bathroom is shared, but there is an upstairs bathroom available when the other one is occupied.
Set at the base of the Abajo Mountains, Monticello is a tranquil mountain town at just over 7000 feet elevation. Our small town has a quiet charm, and the surrounding landscape is beautiful. The historic town siren goes off every day at 8am, noon and 6pm as it has for years. Temperatures in Monticello are generally about 15 degrees cooler than nearby Moab, which is 45 minutes away and 3000 feet lower in elevation. From Monticello you can easily take day trips to visit Canyonlands, Monument Valley, Natural Bridges, Arches and more. Or simply drive ten minutes up to the camp areas in our own Abajo Mountains and go for a hike or hang out by the lake.
  • Stayed here for a night to break up a 4 day trip to Canyonlands. Nice place, nice hosts! Clean, comfy, stylish. Nice amenities, good coffee, comfortable bed.

    Jesse2019-11-07T00:00:00Z

  • Great spot to spend the night while traveling from the Arches National Park to the 4 corners Monument. Betsy's son received us and showed us our room. Very quiet place and comfortable. We were able to get some good sleep there before continuing our trip.

  • We stayed at the "Wisteria Vine Cottage" over Christmas. We wanted to be close to our family in Monticello, but have a place to escape to for some family time with just our kids. Our stay was very good. The place was clean and had everything we wanted, including a travel crib. We asked several questions before our stay and they all got answered quickly. The hospitality was great! Before we came down we got a call asking if we wanted a little Christmas tree set up for us. We thought that was very thoughtful. We were also pleased to find some Christmas treats had been left for us in the cottage. We appreciate all the thoughtful acts of kindness making our stay feel homey. We thought a few things could be updated, like the tub is older, the hot water runs out a little faster than desirable, and the addition of a bathroom fan could be nice, but those details did not prevent us from enjoying our stay. Staying in this home was much better our experience staying in hotels. We will definitely consider staying in this "cottage" again.

Also appreciated the small extra touches like water bottles, hot chocolate/coffee, and welcome candies. • The Cabin was perfect for a family vacation. Great proximity to so much in the Canyonlands area. Comfortable, quiet, and great stars at night!

    Susan2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed using the fire pit while we stayed in this comfortable cabin. The out house was a bit less comfortable but we were only there two nights.

    Kristina2019-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved our stay for the weekend. We will be staying here again.

    Bart2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second year here, and we were glad to return. What a beautiful and peaceful location, with abundant wildlife to view! Check-in was smooth (thanks for turning the lights on for us!), the kitchen was stocked with the essentials, and our kids enjoyed the toys/videos/outdoor play area. The cabin is not without its quirks (primarily the need for bottled water, unique toilet and shower facilities, and the interesting layout), but it accommodated our family very well. Thank you!

    Lisa2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for a place just out of the way, the Cabin is the place for you. It is very unique and peaceful! Plenty of room, and the board game selection made for additional fun! Not far from the Arches, Canyonland and other national parks.

    Roberta2019-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time staying at the cabin. The cabin has a fun rustic feel with some unique features like the toilet being in a building outside, the bedroom lofts are great, it has a nice big outdoor patio and we loved the fire fit. The cabin had plenty of space for our group of 7. The kids loved the toys and the board games. It was a nice mountain experience.

  • I just took a youth group to stay at this cabin. We had a total of 15 people. Everything worked out wonderful and we wouldn't definitely stay here again. It was so close to so many beautiful sights. We loved Blue Mountain and we loved "The Cabin"

    Juli2019-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great little cabin at the base of a very large peak. Very friendly, great price, very comfy beds, wi-fi and cable TV. We had a blast! However, be aware that the bathroom (although very clean and nice) is outside and the faucets don’t provide potable water. Plenty of potable water is provided and non of these dampened our experience. In fact it added to our stories and ambience of being outdoors.

  • Great overnight stop on my way through southern Utah. Directions were accurate, and the RV is spic and span and fun for a night. Was not expecting great Wifi but connected with no issues on my laptop and had good speed. Bed was comfortable and we were snug and warm with an unexpected snow overnight. Had everything I needed for a relaxing night and lazy morning breakfast.

  • What a great find! It is exactly as described, and Justin was very flexible with our check in. Will definitely stay here again if I’m in the area!!!

    Daylon2019-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Justin's camper is located in a great area for access to comb ridge and other surrounding sites. Justin and his family were so kind. They were very responsive to our needs and gave us tips on local sites and areas that they love. Overall it was a very nice glamping experience.

    Morgen2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Justin's place was great, it fit our needs perfectly

    Larry2019-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • So much fun staying in an RV! It was just what we needed in the middle of a mostly camping road trip. Great location right in town. Everything needed in the kitchen was available, and the bed was quite comfy.

    Chuck2019-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Justin's RV is a great place to stay when exploring the local area for a while or just passing through. The RV is very clean, well stocked, and great value!

  • Great relaxing spot, close to what southern Utah is all about with seeing Indian Ruins, hiking/4x4 trails and alot of other things to do. Jerry and his staff are very helpful with providing places to see around in the area. Highly recommend Canyonlands Lodging. I will definitely be back!

  • Adorable is the correct term to describe this cozy, comfy and functional recreational retreat. All that is mentioned is truly there, thank you.

    Corrado2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • This condo is a bit hard to find since its location in Google Map is wrong. The road in the camp was muddy after rain. However, the decoration is awesome and we like it. What is most out of my expectation is that this is a good place to take astrophotographs. I took some very beautiful photos of the milky way.

    Chenyang2019-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • We fell in love with the cabin immediately. The place was spotless!! The cabin is roomy, comfortable and inviting. The grounds are great and offer a little hiking trail to take the dogs on. Onsite we saw elk, heard turkeys and saw a crane on the canyon hike. The location is ideal for Canyonlands, Cedar Mesa, Comb Ridge, Arches and is even close to Moab. Just a reminder that there are very little options as far as restaurants in Blanding and Monticello, so the cabin offers a stocked kitchen allowing guest to plan their own menus and make their own meals. We cannot recommend Canyonlands Lodging enough!! We love this place!!

This single bedroom apartment has a private entrance, a queen bed in the bedroom, a hide-a-bed in the living room, a bathroom with spacious shower. Towels and bedding included. Fully equipped kitchen. Satellite TV. Washer and dryer. Internet. This apartment was originally built for my wheelchair-bound sister so it is totally handicapped accessible.
Blanding is appropriately known as the “Basecamp to Adventure.” Nearby are national parks, monuments, hiking, biking and ATV trails, museums, hunting, fishing, historic sites and other attractions. Ancient ruins from earlier civilizations are only a short drive away. Blanding is the perfect place from which to see the wonders of San Juan, or just spend the night. There is a pack-n-play fold out crib for your convenience. The back door opens onto a covered patio complete with BBQ grill. Enjoy the fish in the backyard pond while barbequing, and eating dinner on the patio table.
Quiet residential neighborhood on secluded Cul-de-sac.
  • Oh, what a special place Jed & Candice provide; clean, warm, fully equipped and perfectly located for our hiking adventures. We had a brief chat and got to know them a bit. They were quiet as mouse and so was the neighborhood. If we ever return to the area, we definitely know a place to stay even if we have to bribe Jed.

    Hong2019-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • Jed ‘s apt was exactly as depicted. Quiet, clean perfect for one night or several. I would stay there again

  • You will not be disappointed at all. This place is super cute and very nice! It’s perfect and the hosts are fantastic!

    Liz2019-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Large functional accommodation with parking right outside the door, washing machine, fully equipped kitchen with delicious homemade muffins offered. We were able to access the garden with games and animals, perfect for our children!

    Gaëlle2019-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • Jed & Candice's place is very spacious, comfortable, and clean. After staying at a few places where we had to lug suitcases up stairs, the 'roll-in' convenience was especially appreciated. Their place was perfectly located for our needs after a long day on the road. We would recommend it to anyone.

    Charles2019-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • A great place to stay for the night as we were coming from Moab pretty late and heading further south the following day. Hosts and accommodations were great!

    Sarah2019-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautifully decorated, convenient apartment with a full kitchen, washer and dryer, very comfortable bed, flat-screen tv---everything you could possibly want or need in a B and B. We highly recommend it.

Large Cozy Yurt, equipped with all the basic essentials you need for the ultimate "Glamping" (glamour camping) experience. The Yurt is 30 feet in diameter and sits on it's own private 6 acre lot with separate entrance and pit toilet. Located approx 45 minutes south of Moab, the Yurt is convenient for those visiting all the sites of Southeast Utah, including the Needles District of South Canyonlands N.P. It's time to relax, unplug the phones, and enjoy the slower pace of Yurt Livin!
This yurt is 24 feet in diameter and beautifully furnished. It can comfortably sleep 6, with a comfy queen sized bed, full sized futon, twin sized pullout and single size couch. It is in the heart of outdoor adventure land. From rock climbing to hiking, mountain biking, finding ancient ruins, to just relaxing and disconnecting from the stresses of everyday life for a while, the YURT is a true escape from a normal vacation. Linens and cleaning are done before and after each guest, however we ask that guests help pick up and remove their trash and tidy up before leaving. There is a fully equipped kitchen with a conventional propane oven and stove. Imagine cooking a gourmet meal while being in a backcountry setting. Cozy up to the wood burning stove at night, and wash dishes and rinse off at the indoor plumbed sink. There is no running water, however we supply and refill 55 gallon drums during the warm season (approx mid April-mid Oct) so you have water. You can heat up water and fill the 5 gallon shower buckets for a quick rinse outside as well. Right out the front door you'll have views of the LaSal mountain range of Moab. There is an enclosed private outhouse (blue building) approx 100 feet away from the yurt as well as an enclosed shower house (green building). Our second yurt is located North of this one, and has a completely separate entrance, and is on it's own 6 acre property, and cannot be seen from one another, so you have your own private area. This yurt is simple yet cozy and has all the amenities you need for a true "glamping" experience.
Very rural, beautiful high desert area of southeast Utah. Sage brush, pinion pines and wide open prairies with views of 3 different mountain ranges. This is a part of the US that many people don't get to see and experience. My neighbors still raise cattle, farm and live simple lives.
  • This place is amazing! Rustic, yes, glamping, yes, but the location, privacy, and property made us feel like we were truly out there. We did get a visit from the neighbor's dog, who is super friendly. This yurt is a great jumping off point for all of the desert adventures in the area. It is hard to choose what our favorite part was, between the comfy beds, great woodstove, the best pit toilet in Utah, the property, or the location to outdoor adventures.

    Kevin2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Yurt is as expected.

    Braidee2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • The yurt was an amazing getaway! Tucked deep in Monticello with easy access to the national parks and Moab. The dogs, however, are no joke. We rode in in a wrangler and they were trying to run under the car. It states that you won’t hit them but we barely missed ones paw by inches- it gave us anxiety every time we left and came in. We did go through a lot of wood keeping the yurt warm throughout the night as the temperatures were very low, but, as avid backpackers/campers it was nothing we weren’t prepared for. Overall, it was everything we imagined! Beautiful yurt with beautiful scenery and very secluded. Will definitely be coming back again!

    Samantha2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome setting for a quiet getaway! I highly suggest using the regular and battery operated candles and lanterns to light the Yurt once the sun goes down since the solar battery is a bit loud while on. Also be sure to check that the solar panels aren't covered with snow when you arrive.

    Robb2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Great little getaway! Even with it being 0 degrees at night, the wood stove got the place nice and toasty. The neighbor dogs were adorable. Some discrepancies between the info I received after booking and info in the yurt (ex; whether linens were clean), but we had such a nice time and this place had everything we needed!

    Emily2019-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot with terrific scenery.

    Amy2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at yurt was a great and quiet camping experience. It was more comfortable than staying in a tent because of the couch, queen bed, solar powered electricity, propane stove/oven and wood stove, but still felt like we were roughing it a bit with the outhouse and no running water. We made dinner outside one night, then made pasta on the propane stove the next night. It was the perfect little relaxing experience and had a very rustic cabin feel. Thanks for the fun long weekend in the yurt!!!

    Meghan2019-10-08T00:00:00Z

  • This was a really cute, very rustic cabin. The kitchen was well-appointed (even including a crock-pot, which, surprisingly, we used!) No dishwasher, but that was no big deal for us. The little kids loved the surprise loft area, and our whole group enjoyed the large kitchen table for game- playing.

    Ken2019-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • This place was beautiful. This cabin was built by hand by the owner and his family, and the craftsmanship is really something. The cabin itself was amazing, but we also spent a good amount of time outside on the deck or at the fire pit as a family and marveled at the mountain view while we played games, reading, or ate s'mores. Jerry was very friendly and had some excellent suggestions for local things to do with the kids. Neat area, wonderful place to stay.

Muddy Paws Ranch has many special features you will love that will bring you back year after year. A Pack-N-Play for the little ones is also available on request. The upper level features the large master bedroom, with exquisite views of the Abajo mountains on one side and a clear unobstructed view all the way to the Colorado mountains on the other. You will be astounded at how far you can see, the sunrises and sunsets are truly breathtaking! There is also a kids bedroom with two twin size beds and a playroom with lots of games and toys for the kids and family both. Downstairs there's a small bedroom with a queen bed, dining room, a large family room, kitchen, laundry room and bathroom. The kitchen has all the appliances you could want, it even has a hot dog toaster! The bathroom is amazing with a one of a kind shower and a wonderful soaking tub that will soak away all the muscle aches from the days activities. Enjoy morning and evening walks among the deer and wildlife on 5 acres of private land including two acres of fenced pasture for your personal use and miles and miles of adjacent public land and trails. Sorry, motorized vehicles are prohibited in the ranch and most of the surrounding areas however there is plenty of parking for all your vehicles and trailers to be able to trailer to some of the nearby trail heads. And with a name like Muddy Paws Ranch, how could it not be pet friendly? The house sits on an acre of land that is fully double fenced where you can play with your dogs and they can run to their hearts content off leash. There's a doggy door in the living room leading to a fully fenced dog run for them to play in with an outside water faucet and water dish. There is even a doggy port hole by the front door so they can watch the world go by from inside the house. Three crates\kennels are provided on request at no additional charge, however there is a pet fee for each pet up to the maximum of three pets. Biodegradable pick up bags are provided so please make sure that you pick up after your pets during your stay with us. Please note that our pricing is based on a four person occupancy with a small charge per person for additional guests over the four person base rate. This makes it so everyone can afford to stay here and smaller groups aren't paying the full property fee. The outside is still very much a work in progress with grass seed and fruit trees being planted this spring so the owners might be out to do yard work and water them during your stay. There is a boarded up building on the property that is scheduled for demolition the summer of 2020, the exact date is yet to be determined. We hope to be able to have it done in between bookings to minimize the inconvenience to our guests.

THIS IS WHERE YOUR UTAH ADVENTURE BEGINS! Collections/creativity abound. Creative use of driftwood including a 'log' guestbook. You can take a treasure & leave one. So much more than a comfortable place to escape the chaos of earning a living. It’s an unofficial museum. Regional photos/artwork adorn the walls. Even a tribute Elvis. Once headquarters of a diverse bean farm: farm tools, barnwood outbuildings & even a ‘castle’. Special deals for longer stays; room for ATV trailer. Come & enjoy!
We have a king, queen, two day beds, and a a role away cot (available upon request for a 7th person). We have ceiling fans throughout the house. We have a portable swamp cooler, as do most homes in town, allowing you to cool off areas, as needed. Monticello is located at the edge of the Rockies. In the summer, weather is very Colorado-esque. Highs in the 80's, and lows in the 50-60's. Our home sits on an acre. It is not uncommon to see deer grazing or even wild turkey walking down the street. There is a beautiful view of the mountain above town. There is nothing like sitting at the dining table, with a cup of hot tea or coffee and watching rain or snow coming down the mountain towards town. Located just two blocks from the Hideout Golf Club. A whole house for just your family. For those who love to cook, there are a variety of cookbooks and other assorted recipes. Please feel free to copy the ones you like or leave one of your own (be sure to leave your name on it). To better help you make the most of your visit to our incredible area, we have an assortment of some of our favorite books for you to read: hiking, driving and history.
Please note that Monticello is 59 miles from Arches National Park. However, Monticello is a great basecamp, for Hovenweep, Canyonlands National Park, Anticline Overlook, Needles Overlook, Natural Bridges, Four Corners, and others! We are blessed to have awesome neighbors. Ours is a quiet and safe neighborhood, and our town is very friendly.

  • We have stayed in 3 of Jerry’s home over the years and are always happy. They have great location for what we go to Monticello for. There homes are always clean. We will hopefully be staying with them again next year.

  • The place was exactly as advertised, and worked as a great base camp for the Moab area. Spacious and clean!

This yurt is 30 feet in diameter and beautifully furnished. There is an enclosed private outhouse approx 50 feet away from the yurt as well. Our second yurt is located south of this one, and has a completely separate entrance, and is on it's own 6 acre property, and cannot be seen from one another, so you have your own private area.
  • I absolutely loved the yurt and can't wait to stay here again. The property is private & secluded with a phenomenal view. If you're coming during the very cold winter months, be sure to pack accordingly (and follow Todd's suggestions!). I came prepared & was able to enjoy the yurt to its fullest extent. What a magical place!

    Victoria2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Todd’s yurt was great! The location is amazing for checking out all the natural beauty in the area, the bed was surprisingly comfortable, and the wood stove kept us toasty warm during a cold front.

    Brooke2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Todd's place is great to go away, to connect with the nature, to forget about the cellphone! It was really great. We enjoyed it!

    Celine2019-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • What a gem! The yurt was so great, we were able to feel and experience the beautiful outdoors with some of the comforts of home, and in great style. Our stay felt like a getaway, but was a quick drive to Moab and Arches for adventures. Todd was very accommodating and responsive. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

    Allison2019-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • The yurt was a great way for us to do some glamping with a young baby. It was similar enough to camping that we felt we got some actual outdoor time, but had all the amenities we'd need to make sure the baby slept well and had a good time too. Highly recommended!

    Jessica2019-04-29T00:00:00Z
  • Remote location, dog-friendly, great amenities for bare-bones glamping. Close enough to Moab to have fun in town, but then retreat to a private, secluded spot for the evening of star-gazing.

    Wesley2019-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • A private yurt with an incredible view. We used the fire pit both nights we stayed here and had amazing sunsets to look at both nights. This yurt is fully furnished with utensils, cups, plates, pots, and pans, with extra blankets and linen and games to play. We had so much fun!

    Teigen2019-04-21T00:00:00Z
  • the yurt was amazing! views from the yard were unbelievable and we enjoyed the outdoor shower.

  • Our stay was perfect! This was one of our favorite Airbnb experiences in south eastern Utah. The home is in a great location close to so many different slot canyons, washes, national and state parks, and native american historical sites. The home was spotless, the bed was insanely comfortable, and Ashton was a great host! The only thing we found a little inconvient was the lack of proper kitchenware, e.g. baking sheet that made our meal planning a bit more limited.

    Kenyon2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • My dog and I spent the New Year holiday here to get away from the craziness and fireworks of Vegas. The best decision for the New Year. Beautiful home, comfy bed, great showers, perfect location, and etc....I can't ask for anything more. Thank you for a pleasant experience here. Happy New Year!

  • Jerry was a wonderful host. If I could give 10 stars I would. My family has definitely found our place to stay when we come back in the Spring. Thank you so much for taking good care of us.

  • Picked this rental last minute (2 hours before our arrival), and it exceeded expectations. There is an additional agreement that is emailed out which wasn’t listed in the house rules, so it’s a good thing I checked my email. Every thing in the agreement was pretty standard so it didn’t mess up check in, but could have been inconvenient. The apartment itself was great, clean spacious rooms, well laid out and had all the amenities we needed. The host provided an excellent book with all the points of interests and if we were staying more than one night would have been awesome to go through. We checked in late (8pm) and the house was cold. The heaters all had to be turned on and took a couple of hours to warm up. This might have just been because we made the reservation last minute. Overall, definitely a place I would stay again.

  • I was in town for business for 3 days. Hotel stays just get tedious. This place made my business trip feel so much more like a vacation with work mixed in. Lol It was like being at home . . . Comfy, cozy, and relaxing. When I come back into town for work, I will most definitely be looking this place up again. A must see and stay, for sure.

    Robin2019-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • What a great find. Check in was a breeze - essential for late arrivals like ours. Mandy provided all the essential info well in advance. Nicely decorated and lots of info about local attractions and accommodations. Mandy left us the makings for S'mores, but unfortunately we weren't able to make - we were busy seeing many local sights. Blanding is central for access to over a dozen Federal and State parks, monuments, and recreation areas, and some of the great scenery of the West (within 1-2 hours in any direction). Mandy's was the best priced and accommodating property we found, and can accommodate 7-8 guests, if needed.

  • This was my favorite place to stay on our 12 day trip. I'll tell you why. We stayed here 3 nights. It was just like MY house. Decorated just like MY house. All the amenities of my house. Had a full kitchen to feed my family. A dishwasher. The bed was more comfortable than my own. Clean, cozy home away from home. My kids loved the bedroom with the toys and their own beds. And the backyard with room to run and a playgrpund and trampoline to play on. We ate out the first night at the Patio Diner. Super yummy. Then drove to Clark's to load up on groceries to eat all 3 meals eacj day while we were there. It was a good location for our visits to Arches, Canyonlands and Mesa Verde. Great little place with all the touches of home. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks, Mandy! Highly recommend.

  • We ( 3 friends) just returned from a most wonderful stay at this mountain home ! The house was just as described and in a beautiful setting . Dee Ann is an extremely attentive host and even made sure weknew about an unexpected cold front hitting the area while we would be there ! We saw deer, wild turkeys , and the adorable Abert squirrel right outside the house . I couldn’t think of a better place to stay while visiting this amazing part of Utah . Hope to return in the future !!
