We booked this stay last minute for the long weekend and had a great time! The house is beautiful right by the river and Junius was very helpful with tips and great for conversation. Love to visit again soon!

This is a get-away space. Large older home, true to it's era, that is well tended. Has a big screened in porch. Barn space (currently going through some rehabing) that offers a warm, open & comfortable space for a retreat gathering. Junius is a great host who is happy to let you have time to yourself, give you tips about the area or engage in a conversation. Our choice was to settle back and relax. For people who have mobility issues, note that the bedrooms are all upstairs.

Junius 's house is unique in a quiet and beautiful area next to a river. We spent a long time talking with him on his screened-in porch. It was a very special experience, one that we will remember for a long time.

Junius is a great host and a kind soul. Is place is a quiet snapshot of old Nova Scotia farm life. It is a rustic, but well-love 170 year old farmhouse with a beautiful wide screen porch that’s perfect for a wandering evening conversation. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great (be aware it is in the restored barn building a few steps away). They we experiencing an unusual heatwave and Junius provided us with fans which provided a comfortable night’s sleep. Really enjoyed our time with our host. Recommended.

Stately century old home with old southern charm (screened in porch that invites lounging and a long drink n discussion and slumber) River courses by, hummingbirds flit n feed.... ancient pine sentries stand by, swish and sway in the winds ... hypnotic. Step back in time Junius’ sure hand is on the tiller.

We had a good time at Junius' place who was really thoughtful and a great host. It's a quiet location and good central spot to explore Keji national park,the coast or even go sea kayaking :)

Our stay at this 1800s home on the south shore was exceptional. It was truly a unique experience. Jay was more friend than host, though he was also a fabulous host - providing all we needed and more; ensuring our comfort; and going the extra mile more than once. I doubt many experiences will top this one. Thanks Jay. We hope we will meet again. ❤️

Jay was a fabulous host and his historic home was super cool. He also gave us a few pointers in the area. I would highly recommend his circa 1850's B&B! Very hospitable. Wish we had more time to visit.

It's a beautiful historic house with lots of character. Fantastic property with lots of great old growth trees providing a fantastic canopy around the property to add to a great feeling of privacy next to the river. Lots of space outside for the kids to play. Junius keeps the house wonderfully kept and clean. He is a great host and he was just excellent with our kids. After his suggestion, my wife and I took a moment outside before bed to take in the perfectly framed stars by the canopy of trees. The screened in porch was perfect, we spend lots of time there playing games and talking.

Jay was a fantastic host. I was pleased to find a nice bridge to the island. The house was rustic with charm. We enjoyed our stay!

Junius is a very welcoming, friendly, social host. A lovely old heritage home with a great kitchen and deck space. Beautiful location on a small island amongst the trees. Highly recommend a stop here for anyone exploring the South Shore!

Our second stay at Heidi’s was every bit as wonderful as our first. We can’t say enough about how enjoyable the whole experience was - all the amenities you need and more, beautiful decor, comfortable furnishings (super comfy beds!) information on the area, thoughtful touches and hosts that go above and beyond. Also, the location is ideal, close to jump on the highway, 5 minutes from grocery stores and the setting is picture perfect overlooking the Mersey River. Book with Heidi and Nick, they do AirBnB right!

Teresa's house is very handy to all of Liverpool, especially the Astor Theatre. She was very generous to me, letting me use her bike and her kitchen. Also has two utterly charming dogs!

Teresa’s place and Teresa herself are everything I hope for when I travel on my own with Airbnb. She welcomed me in her home and town and I instantly felt like I’ve been here for days, visiting someone I know. All her recommandations were spot on, her dogs are very well trained and just adorable, she has done a really great job with renovating this gorgeous old house. I had one of the best sleeps in the bed! It was hard to leave her, she really takes excellent care of her guests, her house, her dogs. She’s such a wonderful person, I’m very thankful to have met her and would for sure come back there if I have the opportunity!

Teresa is a warmhearted host who will do whatever she can in order to make your stay in Liverpool a success. Her place was a springboard for me during my move to Liverpool, and she connected me with my current landlords, who are her friends. From the minute I contacted her I've felt like family, and the town of Liverpool and its residents are equally welcoming. At Teresa's you have access to her wonderful treed backyard with chairs, deck + fire pit and plenty of doggy cuddles. The house is very well-kept, clean & nicely decorated. I am happy to now call Liverpool my home, and I highly recommend staying with Teresa and her adorable pups :)

Upon arrival, she had detailed information about the house and the town that ensured a comfortable stay and a tasty meal at a good restaurant. Teresa, Snoopy, and Nanook (her dogs) were appropriately social and kind; I'd definitely stay with her again.

Cozy apartment, very clean, everything is there for a pleasant stay. We can trust the photos. Yes the street is a bit noisy but it's honestly explained. Bed and comfortable pillows. Lingerie of quality and in ample quantity. Well equipped kitchen. Shani is available and dedicated. Balcony terrace where you can see the river. Well located. Grocery store nearby. Next to a beautiful park by the river with tourist info.

The location is perfect and everything we could possibly need is provided. Donna’s local tips were also invaluable. She can’t be held responsible for the visit of mosquitoes the size of sparrows.

The hosts provide excellent communication and offer any support if needed. Otherwise, you have 100% complete privacy from start to finish. The hosts have truly thought of everything guests will need for this cottage. The bedding, furniture, shower, & appliances are high quality and like new. Super clean! The cozy sitting room instantly became our favorite spot to read, relax and enjoy morning coffee. I can't recall the last time we have experienced such peace & tranquility. The 5-minute walk to the beach is perfect as well. For Day 2 we spent the whole day there - not a soul in sight. There is a wonderful detail in the decorating of this cottage. Instantly feels like a home and not a rental. Locally, we drove 15 minutes towards Liverpool and discovered Meadows Beach. The beach has change rooms and portable facilities. This is truly a hidden gem along the South Shore. Thank you Donna & Tim!

Tim and Donna's cottage really is 'on the ocean.' It's literally a stone's throw away. The place was immaculate and the views were amazing. It was a wonderful getaway!

This is a unique and private spot on the shores of a remote bay, with only wildlife, birds and beauty as neighbors. The house is clean and well-equipped with everything you might need - including binoculars, bug spray and plenty of suggestions for exploring the area. Tim & Donna live close-by so are available if need-be. A perfect location for exploring Nova Scotia's South Shore - towns, beaches & Kedge National Park reachable within 1-1 1/2 hour drive. This was our second visit and it was even better than the first! We brought a canoe and paddled the harbour and up through The Gut. The kids bikes to the beach in the rain and played all day. Lunch at the Port Grocer is delicious. I love the big windows and the comfy beds. I made the kids watch Top Gun on DVD. Gotta be ready for the sequel.

Excellent secluded spot. Peaceful and very comfortable. The beds...oh my goodness..... used the binoculars to watch the herons. Say a coyote run onto the beach. Listened to the tide come and go. Amazing stay. Thank you so much. We cant wait to return.

The house was very clean and enjoys a stunning riverside location. April was very responsive to our questions and on-hand if we needed assistance.The re-opened Trestle Bridge was a real bonus: not only are there great views of Liverpool from it - especially at sunrise, but also it is a convenient route for walking to the supermarket. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer! Thank you.

We stayed for 2 nights in the cabin called hummingbird 😀 we thought it was great .. very clean and cozy😀 lots of room to sleep and nice deck to sit out on. Close to another cabin but it was only booked for one night we were there . Very peaceful

Wonderful time staying in the Bunkies, they are surprisingly spacious! The water access was a bit misleading as you cannot get to the water. We all ruined our sandals while being shin deep in mud. Aside from the water access we had a great time and would gladly stay again.

This little gem on the water is one of our favorite places to get away to with our kayaks. The private setting never fails to please us. Our hosts are great. We have visited this spot on several occasions and look forward to getting back in the Spring of the new year.

What a beautiful spot! Close to so many beaches and yet so very private. We attended a wedding nearby and had the cutest space to rest our heads afterwards. My husband and I had coffee together on the porch in the morning and it was lovely. Our pre teen enjoyed space in the loft while our toddler was just so happy to be at “a little cottage”. Definitely recommend! And maybe we will make it back sometime!

Travelling from Ontario this was a beautiful, tranquil location. We have never stayed in a small space like this with so many wonderful amenities! What a perfect place for a getaway. Many beaches very close by. After a day at the beach it was nice to cozy up on the pullout couch to watch a movie. Ps. Insect repellant is a must (at this time of year at least). The porch is screened in though so you are free from mosquitoes there!

This private setting is wonderful. It has everything you would want to make your stay comfortable and relaxing. The screened porch is a great place to sit in the evening and watch nature. Paddlers like us, can put our boats in the water directly in front of the cottage. We love it there. It was our third time there and it just keeps getting better. Thank you Rose and Mike. We are looking forward to going back.

So happy I choose the Blue Ocean cabin, it was amazing. Blew my expectations out of the water, everything was great and so private, defiantly a lovely place to spend a weekend away ! Rose and Mike thought of every small detail and it showed.

This house is amazing in an amazing setting. We spent our wedding weekend here and there was plenty of room for my family plus for everyone to get ready. Rusticly luxurious, very clean, and great for pictures!

Expectations will be exceeded with this house/location, the walk from the house to the Ocean/Rocks is short and the views are Unbelievable. The house is a very fair value and is a super place for a family vacation or a peaceful retreat. Liverpool is a short 10 minute drive and has all the amenities you may require for your stay. The listing is accurate - the house is beautiful and well-maintained! The views are beautiful. Brian's attention to detail is felt throughout and we felt super comfortable and welcome. We enjoyed every day of our stay. There are little towns to discover in the area, a local farmers' market, a lighthouse museum; but it is just as nice to stay at the house, go for walks, use the grill. We found an organic farm raising Icelandic sheep - the Wooly Crow - and paid a visit. Try the Riverbank General Store and Cafe in Mill Village for sandwiches. So grateful to find hosts who accept dogs!

My family enjoyed the perfect week at Brian´s house on the beach in Brooklyn, Nova Scotia. Brian was a spectacular host, very attentive, answering my emails and calling me to give me directions to the house and make sure everything was going as planned the day I checked in. Initially we were going to spend the week in Maine, but having been there several times, we decided to look further north in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick or Prince Edward Island in Canada. From the pictures and previous comments of the Mighty Atlantic Ocean Retreat guest house, it took me less than five minutes to decide that it was the right beach house for a vacation. From the first morning coffee to the last wine sip of local Nova Scotia wine the rolling waves on the rocks made us feel welcome. There are two paths lined with beautiful wildflowers that lead to the ocean and the rocks, where we spent hours watching the sea gulls, ducks and many other birds; we even saw falcon and a sea otter, and walking on the rocks. The starry night is amazing! The house has everything one needs for cooking, relaxing at the nearby Meadows Beach, sharing a scrabble after dinner or watching tv. The house décor is from a home decoration magazine! Everything has been done with much taste and thoughtfulness. Actually, reality is way better than the copy, as the pictures don´t show all the beauty and peace the house shows. It's sparkling clean too! Our favorite space was the kitchen followed by the magic outdoors, sitting on the Adirondack chairs on the deck watching the sea or just falling asleep with the ocean as the music background. Supermarkets and liquor store are less than 10 minutes from the house and the house is perfectly located for doing day trips to enjoy the many attractions Nova Scotia has to offer, although the house was so comfortable and welcoming that we would go cut our sightseeing short just to enjoy more of the house. This has been by far the best time my family spent together through Airbnb, for which much we owe to Brian for the house and hospitality. We will return!!

This spot is in the heart of liverpool. We really enjoyed we were able to walk to a restaurants for supper and for breakfast because it was so close. Super easy check in. The place was nice and clean. And fast responses to any questions I had was great. The tub was really good for relaxing in the evening so that was a bonus. The bed was really comfortable was like sleeping on a cloud. I look forward to booking here again for events in Liverpool/south shore. Thank you !

Our stay at Allen’s place was fabulous. Very beautiful spot, the artwork and details were gorgeous. Big, well equipped kitchen, with extra touches, living room was adorable and we rearranged the couch during the time we were there to make it our own hehe. Loved the DVD player only tv. Was fun to watch one of the random movies there and go to frenchys to try to find one. Made it fun and romantic. Bed was comfy and the jacuzzi was lovely! It was such a pretty spot!! Only thing I’d recommend is the wifi didn’t work this time so Just to make sure that’s working, and the parking situation is a bit of a shame, but we had zero problems so it wasn’t a deal breaker! Also, thankful there was a fan in the bedroom, maybe adding a second, battery operated for the other side as if you run the jacuzzi in the evening the room gets very hot and steamy for the night :) All in all, we will stay again, it was beautiful and we are very thankful we found it!!

We had a wonderful, peaceful stay at Surfs Up. This is our 5th (?) time staying here. After staying at numerous air bnbs in different parts of North America and Europe, we can still say that Surfs Up is hands down the best we have ever stayed at. Thank you for hosting us and our golden Finley yet again.

You will find such a welcome, beautiful, relaxing environment. Brian and Cathie are wonderful hosts and will provide you with great suggestions of little not-to-be-missed pearls such as Crosby’s or LaHave Bakery. The cottage is spotless and so beautifully decorated. Quiet, serene and a view to die for. I usually pack up my kitchen when we travel (just in case); you won’t need it here! If there was one thing I would add in for anyone staying with a few people or for a longer duration, it would be a small washer/dryer. The rough in is in place, so maybe B&C have it in future plans. You will love Surf’s Up! Watch for the surfers!

Having used air Bnb around the world we can honestly say this was a cut above !! From beautiful linen to well appointed kitchen and bbq to the amazing sunsets, absolute peace and quiet as well as great suggestions about local Things to do we enjoyed every minute.

We stay at Surfs Up every year, and this year had yet another wonderful stay at this perfect cottage. The cottage itself is so clean, a beautiful design, has great decor, and has everything you may need during your stay there. The location is beautiful, we love hearing the waves from the bedroom windows and eating supper on the deck. Just down the street you can walk the beach at low tide. Brian and Cathie offered us many great tips regarding things to do in the area. As usual, they made our golden Finley welcome at the cottage as well. And of course I had to buy one of Cathie’s mermaids. Thank you Brian and Cathie for allowing us to have a very peaceful and relaxing getaway. Can’t wait to return!

Kelly’s house is charming, comfortable and well provisioned for a fun stay.

We stayed a second time at Seas The Day and found that we loved it just as much. We saw that they had made a few small improvements that made our stay even more comfortable. It's not a far drive from Rissers beach. I recommend going there. It's a nice beach.

This small cottage is a true paradise which is located near the sea. It is very clean and has everything you need during a trip. Kelly was amazing with helping us through our stay. She provided us with plenty of local tips and helped us through the process of picking a beach to go to (since there are so many near by). Very beautiful cottage, we felt right at home.

A sweet colorful cottage with everything you need for a getaway. The big island in kitchen open to a long table is perfect for gathering with family. The cottage is well stocked with towels, linens, beach blankets, games everything you need and then some. Close to beautiful beaches for exploring: Cherry Hill & Broad Cove are only a few minutes away and Rissers and Crescent beaches are only 15 minutes. Cottage has a wood stove for cozy evenings in. We had a great time and will definitely seek out this accommodation for future stays.

This is a small but nice home that fit our needs (father/daughter trip). We found the location to be really good for what we had in mind to do. It's close to the road, however it's a very quiet road.

Wow, what a view! This oceanside apartment had all the necessary amenities for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The outdoor space added even more to the experience. Paul and Darlene were helpful and considerate hosts. The unique location, at least when we were there, allowed for enjoying both the sunrise and sunset. We saw seals and a number of birds just looking out the windows at the water.

This is a wonderful stay for an individual or a couple that want a peaceful respite. It is a small apartment with many amenities at your disposal. The view of the bay with its wildlife is beautiful. Sitting inside tastefully decorated unit, on the comfortable reclining chairs, you sit back, relax and enjoy the peaceful Nova Scotia of rural fishing villages. Many tourism attractions to visit including a secluded white sand beach nearby in short driving distance. Paul and Darlene were wonderful hosts offering tips on places to see and dining out.

'By The Sea' is even better than the pictures! The accommodations are spacious, comfortable and clean. The large kitchen is great for preparing some light meals .... the sitting area is inviting to watch the beautiful outdoors .... the bathroom is fully equipped with amenities ... the bed is comfy ... couldn't ask for more. There is so much beauty to explore in Nova Scotia, and we found this was a perfect home base to go north to Lunenburg, and then go south to explore the quaint sea-side towns. Perfect place to recharge!

Allen was a lovely host The unit itself was fantastic the most comfortable bed and pillows (I am super fussy about beds) my husband and I loved the double Jacuzzi. And to top it all off there was a nice bottle of wine left for us in the fridge to celebrate our anniversary.

I would recommend this charming apartment to anyone who is planning at trip to the Liverpool area. The apartment is well appointed and is centrally situated for travelling around. The hospitality and attentiveness of the host is outstanding. Thinking of visiting soon for another holiday. I only hope the apartment is available when we are planning to visit.

My boyfriend and I came to Liverpool for our anniversary, and it was exactly what we hoped for-and better! This is a cute town, and Allen (the host) was very accommodating in showing us around the place, giving recommendations of where to eat, what to see, and businesses to check out. The spot we stayed was gorgeous, and easily accessible by the main road. It was within walking distance of many lovely buildings to see, and parks. We couldn't have asked for anything more. We had a great stay in Kim’s loft apartment. The view from the balcony is wonderful. Everything was spotless and well furnished. We are a family of four; the pull out couch was fine. The only problem we encountered was that the wifi wasn’t working. Kim responded right away but it didn’t work while we were there. Not a huge problem for us as we were out and about most of the time anyway. We enjoyed our time in Liverpool and highly recommend Kim’s cute loft suite.

The place was spotlessly clean and had everything we could imagine needing while we stayed there. They were very responsive and the friendliest and most welcoming people you can imagine. Heidi’s place is charming and welcoming. She has clearly taken great care to create a peaceful atmosphere with creative touches throughout the well-equipped apartment (there's even a BBQ available outside). Luxurious beddings and towels add to the spa-like ambiance. The river view from the private balcony is relaxing with the surrounding area including the park along the river, a photographer’s delight. We had an exceptional stay at Lori’s house. We really felt at home, except it is even better decorated than home. Nothing was missing, the house is quiet and the location and views very peaceful. It was perfect with our 21 month old son, we enjoyed good family time to explore this part of Nova Scotia. We discovered great hikes and beaches just a short drive away.

We very much enjoyed our restorative 13-night stay in this beautiful, spacious, comfortable and welcoming home. The house has been lovingly designed and beautifully set up for guests. Every amenity you could possibly want for a relaxing holiday sojourn has been anticipated and provided. We found the house sparkling clean, with the best-equipped kitchen of any place we’ve rented, thoughtful touches such as a basket of treats set out for us, and lots of information about places to go and things to do in the area. The owners left a welcoming note, writing that they hoped our stay would be wonderful—and it was! As lovely and comfortable as the house is, the best feature by far is the scenery. As soon as you walk in the front door, you see through the kitchen, with its wide bank of windows, to a private, tree-framed ocean vista. Wall-to-wall windows in both cosy sitting rooms also look out over the gorgeous ocean view. The upstairs bathroom features a large elevated tub, and enjoying a leisurely soak while taking in the sight and sound of the waves rolling in may be the second-best thing to do on the South Shore! (The best thing is walking along Cherry Hill beach—see below.) I loved the way this art-filled house highlights the original work of Maritime artists and craftspeople. As to the location: it’s an easy, picturesque drive along the Lighthouse Route to beautiful towns such as Mahone Bay and Lunenburg (highly recommended: don’t take the quickest route to Lunenburg. It’s worth taking the ferry across the river at LaHave and then taking the 332 for a gorgeous drive along the shore). Nearby Risser’s beach is great for swimming, and also has a pretty boardwalk trail through a salt marsh. We stopped several times at the LaHave Bakery for breakfast, lunch and treats, taking our food out to the end of the dock so we could gaze over the river at yet another picturesque view while enjoying a tasty meal. Cherry Hill is very quiet at night (plus, if you’re lucky, you will get a clear night and re-discover what a star-filled sky looks like). The best part of our stay here was the proximity to nearby Cherry Hill beach, with its austere beauty and fabulous seaside walks. There are never more than a few people at a time on this vast beach (check online tide charts so you can figure out the best times to go). Lori was an exceptionally attentive host, responding quickly to emails in the process of arranging our stay and to any questions we had while at the house. It’s clear that she truly wants her guests to enjoy their time in her home and to learn to love the South Shore as her family has—which is easily accomplished!

Exactly as expected and more!! So much space, super clean, staple pantry / household items stocked up to make the stay feel homey. Highly recommend, you will not be disappointed!

We knew we were about to have an extraordinary retreat when we stepped into the doors - Lori and Will have created such a beautiful home. We immediately felt welcomed. The home is very spacious and great for family (game room with ping pong table was awesome) The windows that span the back of the home gives you a gorgeous view of the ocean. They truly put lots of heart and detail into this home. We loved it here! If you’re going this way, this is a great place to stay!

We are a family of 5 including 3 twenty-somethings and fully enjoyed our stay at the Cherry Hill Beach house. There was more than enough room for individual and together time, including a games room! At first this one might appear “far” down the shore, but the scenic drive and the experience you can have is definitely worth the trip. if you are looking for a high end yet casual, private spot which is fully updated right on the ocean with an amazing beach just down the road, this is the place!

An excellent hub for those looking to explore the Southern Shore, tour the lighthouse route, experience great beaches and local artisans. It was nice to return home to a beautiful spacious beach house topped off with the sound of the surf. Thanks Lori!

Their property is located in a quiet village but easily accessed from the highway. The house is in such a beautiful setting overlooking the river and the rooms are well decorated and very clean. Offering delicious home baked bread and cakes, yogurt and coffee to start the day, this is a perfect place to stay!

Charming and sparkling clean clutter-free home with crisp new renos & lovely decor. Wonderful, spacious main floor with beautiful tree-topped view from anywhere on the main floor into the backyard. Awesome kitchen with open airy feel. Large outdoor space with table and chairs, giving you a whole new room to enjoy during the warmer months. Gorgeous double wide patio doors really open up the main floor. Large master bedroom and ensuite & all the beds were comfy with great duvets. Tons of windows & natural light, a very relaxing house to stay in. Great peaceful, seaside town, delicious local food within a short walking distance and beautiful local beaches. Tons of sightseeing & activities to do for day trips in the South Shore, Halifax area or even the Valley. Shani was very accommodating whenever there was anything we needed and a perfect host. We had a fantastic family vacation!

We stayed at Shani's place for just over a week. We loved every minute of it. The house is beautiful and very comfortable to be in; we had everything we needed and were within walking distance to town. Liverpool was a perfect place to stay; it gave us the opportunity to enjoy beaches and towns up and down the coast. Plus, Liverpool has several cool museums including my favorite, the Rossignol Cultural Centre and Sherman Hines Photography Museum which is kind of a mini-museum of natural history with a leopard, a giraffe, a lion and grizzly and polar bears. There's also great photography and a room dedicated to outhouses. (!) A wonderful, weird little museum. Loved it. Shani and her husband Andreas were incredibly welcoming. We enjoyed stopping in to see them at their coffee bar at Main & Mersey. Andreas and Jonas are A+ baristas. We hope to visit again.

Located within a short walk of anywhere in Liverpool (downtown is just around the corner), this home is comfortable, modern and charming, and Shani is a wonderful host - great communication all the way through. I would happily stay here again on our next visit to Liverpool, and am more than happy to recommend it to others.

Beautiful location and a lovely cozy house. Water views from the windows. Spent an hour drinking coffee and watching the sun come up over the bay and the birds fly by and the seals playing. I didn't want to leave. You won't regret booking this place! Great breakfast and wonderful host too!

Stayed at Nancy's for one night after coming from Halifax and exploring Peggy's Cove and Lunenburg. We arrived in the evening and Nancy was there to greet us. The home is very clean and tastefully decorated and the location right on the water is spectacular. The room was comfortable and Nancy even provides an assortment of toiletries. She goes all out with breakfast in the morning and makes sure that you are full and satisfied! We really enjoyed the excellent conversations with her, she's extremely knowledgeable of the area and gave us some great tips on things to explore with hadn't been on our radar. Very hospitable and makes you feel right at home. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and HIGHLY recommend!

My partner and I stayed at Nancy's house for only 1 night but we really enjoyed our stay. Nancy was so friendly, laid-back, and helpful. She told us about the best local spots to explore, and had interesting stories to tell about the area. We especially appreciated how laid-back the environment was, from check-in time and use of the common space, which was kept clean and tidy overall. Nancy cooked a delicious breakfast which filled us up so much that we didn't even need lunch! The setting was picquresque, quiet and relaxing, but close to scenic spots in the county. Overall, I'd recommend staying at Nancy's, and we'd defininitely go back.

She offers one very cozy guest bedroom in her home which has a sensational water view (and you can watch the stars at night). Nancy is an energetic and warm-hearted lady who offered as a huge and yummy breakfast. Only the price was a little high (still ok, though) for the location and the fact that we used the bathroom downstairs

We had a wonderful time at The blue heron cottage - which gets its name honestly! The kitchen had everything we needed and had a lovely kayak both mornings we were there. The bedrooms are on separate floors from the main living area which we loved. The view from the deck was awesome. Highly recommend as a quiet and peaceful vacation location.

We loved our stay here. If you’re lucky enough to get a clear night like we did, the stars are spectacular. Nice quiet surroundings in a cozy cottage. Tammy is also full of great suggestions of what attractions to visit. Well worth the stay.

We had a wonderful and relaxing time. We enjoyed using the kayaks to explore. The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed, and more. A really great stay!

Everything was as described. Tammy provided directions to the house which was nice, our Google maps had us going the wrong way. The mosquitoes are no joke, for real. However the house was equipped with bug spray and sunblock. Getting the Kayaks into the water was a tad challenging but my oh my that view. The Port Medway Grocer (Recommended from Tammy) was the best coffee I've had since we have been on vacation! Bed was comfortable. You are on the water so the air coming in is cooler so we opened the doors (screens closed of course) to cool off the main level. There is a portable AC upstairs which was nice. The shower head is very low, hits about shoulder height, but the water pressure was good and it didn't smell like the well water which was appreciated! All the towels and a robe, shampoo/conditioner and body wash provided. Kitchen has everything that you need and the some! Big flashlight was nice as well. Games in the basement area meant we didn't turn on the TV the whole time :)

We had a wonderful two days. The kayaks are a huge plus. Sit still in a kayak and let the seals pop their heads up close to you. I have never had such a lovely experience before. The cottage has everything you could want/need. Everything was very clean and tidy. I would highly recommend staying here. It would have been nice to have a campfire but understandable that it is not allowed. Thanks so much!!

Location, location, location. This is an off-the-beaten track jewel of a hide-away cottage. The morning view over the private, still-water cove starts each day with tranquility.

Fantastic place - this is a steal for anyone who is lucky enough to find a weekend at this beautiful inlet-side bungalow. Incredibly private, great views, easy drive to Port Medway (which has an awesome grocer/coffee shop), easy drive to beaches, and a great backyard kayak put-in. The house was clean, kitchen was great for cooking! We're very happy customers!
