Every element—walls, windows, transitions—feels like a question being asked, a possibility being explored. It's a place of trial, of intuition, of becoming. Suddenly, you’re transported. Inspired by the gardens of the Alhambra in Granada and the magical landscapes imagined by Ferdinand Bac, the garden at Casa Ortega is a poetic composition of light, water, and vegetation. It feels both structured and wild—carefully designed, yet alive and unpredictable. You sit beside the fountain, its quiet trickle echoing against the walls how Barragán, was shaping space as a form of emotional and spiritual experience. This garden isn’t just a retreat—it’s a revelation. A precursor to the contemplative sanctuaries he would later create, where silence, color, and nature speak louder than words.
