Visit any time, but the falls are particularly spectacular when flood lit at night (till 11PM) Visit one of the wonderful café's and restaurants, watch the scenery and spot all the different birds, walk one of the many trails (from 1 hour to a full day hiking). Check out the skate park and huge new playground, have a picnic at Gallipoli Park and use one of the many free barbecues to cook up a storm, play a game on the sports oval, go mountain biking down hill from Lake Mountain, in Marysville itself or on the special MBT track in Buxton (11 kilometers). Sue2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Light & airy, with wonderful birdlife, and although a few houses around, there is still a sense of privacy, with delightful views across the hills. Enjoyed our stay immensely! Sharon

  • We absolutely loved our time at Ester's place. The biggest surprise was the location - it's close to a small creek, that when you cross over joins with a track leading up to Stevenson's falls. The best for any nature lover! Our kids loved playing in the creek & especially loved seeing the Fall's at night time (thanks for the recommendation Ester). Otherwise the space is stylish and we loved having a huge range of movies to watch at night time! Thanks so much. Highly recommend to any families or couples.

  • Penny & Tony’s place was exactly the kind of escape I was looking for on the weekend with my wife and son. The place was clean with really nice finishing touches. Beautiful property with views of the little lake. We were there for 2 nights and the hosts were really helpful with us settling in. We had plenty of things to do around the area with its naturally beautiful environment - waterfalls, rivers and creeks etc. We loved it and would love to be back again!

    Azain2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Really nice accomodation, clean, spacious and nice little touches. Marysville is nearby and it’s a very nice little town, with one or two places to eat and a couple of little shops. The lake is beautiful and the place seemed very quiet when we stayed. Facilities really good used the bbq. Having a fridge and coffee making facilities was very helpful. We would love to return in the winter time and make use of the fire!

    Laura2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • I can't speak highly enough of my stay with Penni & Tony. Beyond the beautiful location and amazing place, they had several little touches which made the experience so much more homely!

    Jon2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place! Just what we were looking for - somewhere a little out of the way but with easy access to town. Loved sitting on the porch overlooking the damn with the cows & calves playing in the field below us. The space is wonderful - tastefully decorated, cosy, and with some amazing touches to make it just that extra little bit special

    Laura2019-12-31T00:00:00Z

air-conditioned rooms • King rooms with bath • Located in the heart of Marysville • Rooftop deck and spacious courtyard • wireless internet • Bar/lounge with open fireplace • Fully licensed • Craft beers, ciders and local wines • Close to a variety of walking/biking trails • Walking distance to all attractions • On the doorstep of the Yarra Valley • Idyllic location
  • Great place. Good value for money. Agree with the earlier comment regarding the toilet cubicle. Not problem for kids and I but I would imagine awkward for a dating couple. The check in & out process is easy. Worth noting that there isn't a drying room for your wet snow gear. Most of our stuff dried OK with the heat up a little in the room so it's not a big deal.

    Minh2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great home base for exploring Marysville and Lake Mountain. Walking distance from everything you could require. Very clean and lovely space, open plan bathroom was nice, cubicle style toilet a bit funny but not a real issue. Highly reccomend for couples in the area

  • Had a fantastic stay at that this unique hideaway. My friends and I had a full day of riding mountain bikes at lake mountain, it was a great place to come back to at the end of the day. The location is perfect, easy walk into town but far enough away it feels like you're in the bush. The fireman's pole and rock climbing wall were good for a bit of fun too. Everything was nice and clean and all facilities worked well. Thanks again for having us, we will be back again.

  • Room with a fabulous view!! You enter the main living area, it floods with light and a magnificent full wall view of the mountains, and opens onto a huge deck. We arrived a little bit early and on communicating with Leanne she allowed us early entry, house was already heated, so cosy for what is a open high roofed living space. We were intending to walk the Cathedral ranges, due to poor weather chose not too. But we could walk out the front door of Leannes and be on a bush track in two minutes . We 'wandered' through the bush for three and half hours, ended back in town for lunch then headed off for another hike for three hours, brilliant. And its literally only 10-15min stroll directly into town.

  • We loved our stay at the mountain house for the long weekend. It didn’t matter that it rained all weekend because we were super comfy inside and able to relax with stunning views of the mountains and valley. Such a beautiful spot!

  • Leanne Jessica’s place is nice with great views of the mountains. The bedrooms are of a good size and the fireplace warms the place up well.

Due to covid 19 I will only be accepting bookings that adhere to Government law ie people who have no accommodation, health workers and their families who can't stay together or if you are working in the area. I will also have a gap of 5 days between bookings. Big Patsa's Place is fully fenced and gated and only a 6 minute drive to central warburton. The house is set on a beautiful and peaceful 1 acre of land bursting with wildlife, its one of the most relaxing places in warburton.
The house is fully selfcontained and located just before the Big Pats Creek bridge , which is great for fishing with small brown trout and freshwater crayfish that are caught on a daily basis, your welcome to bring your own fishing gear or use our 2 fishing rods. During summer its a great place to cool down or even walk the creek it has some amazing features and is great to explore with the kids. There is a trampoline, swing set games and toys for the kids along with a large selection of movies for families. At only $190per night for 4 people and only an additional $50 for each person after that up to 11, we think this is by far the best value for money for families and groups of people visiting in warburton. If you enjoy bush walks you are at the start of the Walk into History. The Big Pats Creek to Starling Gap trek follows the Federal tramway, which was constructed in 1933 and used by the timber workers in the area. You will be able to locate lengths of the old tram tracks by the side of the path in some places, for more information you can google this, a great journey into history. For the trail bike & mountain bike rider's there is no better place. You can ride straight from the front gate with hundreds of kilometers of tracks and trails throughout the upper yarra forest, for the dirt bike rider try the Big Pats Creek to the Reefton Pub trail, challenging but fun. For the bike riders we have 10 bikes that everyone is welcome to use during your stay, there are 4 Adult bikes, 3 Medium size bikes and a couple of smaller bikes for toddlers, or you can still bring your own there is plenty of space in both sheds on the property to store both dirt and mountain bikes, there are some bike helmets and 2 toboggans if your heading up to the snow on Mt Donna Buang. At the rear of the property and through the gate is your own private rain forest to explore, during the winter months it has a small creek that runs through it that can lead you down to other parts of Big Pats Creek. You have the run of the entire house and property which at 28Sqs of living space it has plenty of room for 2 or more families or a group of friends of up to 11 people. The House Ground Floor The Main Bedroom has a Queen Bed, ensuite, walk in robe, electric fireplace, parents retreat with lounges and TV The 2nd Bedroom has a Queen Bed, wardrobe and small TV with direct access to main bathroom Lounge room, dining table, DVD, high chairs, ironing board, butlers pantry and laundry with dish washer and washing machine the dryer is located in the Bungalow Main Bathroom with Shower toilet and bath, towels, bed linen, pillows are all included, you may want to bring your own linen or towels for longer stays if you don't wish to use the washing machine. There is no Wi-Fi however 3G and 4G phones and devices have good reception 1'st Floor The 3rd Bedroom is located at the top of the stairs and has a double bed with a single bed and trundle this is a large room and sleeps 3 or 4 people it has a set of draws for clothes The 4th Bedroom is a loft style room set up for the younger kids, with 2 single beds and a trundle, lego table, rocking horse, kids pram, and some other toys for the children to enjoy. Our 2 younger children love staying in this room. The 3rd living area is between bedrooms 3 and 4 and is a fantastic space with its own lounge suite and TV. This is a large room for either the children or to get away from them :-) It has wonderful views from the unique windows. Kitchen and Butlers Pantry The main kitchen is larger than normal with a huge amount of bench space. The rustic bench tops were made from the old oak tree on the property a number of years ago. It has an induction stove and oven with all the pots, plates, cups and cuttlery supplied for you during your stay including fridge and microwave. Tea coffee, coffee machine and sugar are provided and a small pantry of staples. Along with the conventional oven is a rayburn combustion wood fire oven. Big Pats Creek during winter can be cold so we have oil heaters in every room and electric fire places in the Main room and main lounge. There is also a split system for cooling and heating on the ground floor and first floor The Bungalow is a games room with pool table dart board Bluetooth speaker and bar. You can access the bungalow for the clothes dryer. The Property We allow pets but this is limited to 2 Dogs, they are free to roam the property and there is also an encloser, the fences are about 4ft high so if you have dogs that like to jump you may need to have them on a long lead. If they are inside please don't allow them on the furniture or bedding. As always please pick up after your dogs bins are on the property and are collected each Wednesday. We allow fires in the fire flu on the deck (Please always check fire restrictions) I supply wood for a small fire however there is always plenty of wood on the ground in the near by bush or the local IGA and hardware store have it in stock. The fire place on the deck can be used all year round (Please always check fire restrictions however). During the autum and winter months there will be lots of leaves around the property which cant be burnt during June and July. Being a country property there is the occasional power outage, this does'nt occur very often however it may happen. Power is normally restored within a few hours if there is a problem we have flashlights and candles if needed. The water for the property comes directly from the upper yarra river, and is'nt treated with chlorine or fluoride which is great, we all drink the water however I recommend you drink the water from the water cooler. We have septic tanks so please be careful not to flush any sanitary items or use any type of bleach in the 3 toilets. Parking There is a carport that fits 2 SUV's easily along with a parking bay half way up the drive way for an additional 2 cars. If you have more than 4 cars you can park through the gate at the back door of the property. (Max 5 Cars at the property). The drive way is reasonably long, if you have trailers with bikes it's easier to drive into the property and turn around rather than backing it down the drive way. We have put together a guide on all the wonderful sites and attractions that warburton has to offer but if your not sure you can contact me via email or mobile, You don't have to check out until 11am the next day so you don't have to rush. The property manager lives just next door so if you have any problems feel free to contact me and I will send him over. Please enjoy your stay and we look forward to having you visit us soon Emma
  • Just perfect! The house is huge and the location is lovely, in the middle of the forest. With parrots on the porch!

  • Fabulous property with lots of space for large groups. Very comfortable and relaxing

  • Quick and friendly response, very fair pricing. Prime location in a beautiful rain forrest, this rustic and charming house was a great place to stay for us. The kids loved it thanks to plenty of toys and a big garden. Movies and an abundance of games helped us to get through a rainy day. Maybe also because of the rainy weather, some rooms appeared to be a little bit damp, but otherwise very clean and in excelent state.

  • Emma’s house is spacious and suits a couple of families and has three different living areas. Our Labrador loved running around the secure and spacious garden. Emma is a great host who communicates well. Thank you for a lovely stay.

  • This is the perfect getaway just outside of Warburton. The house is everything you could ask for- spacious, clean, multiple living areas and all with stunning views of the trees and birds. It is so close to multiple walking tracks that would take days to complete if you were keen. It is only 7 mins from shops and supermarket but was lovely to be away from that in nature. Emma is so helpful and quick to respond. Definitely hope to return.

The 'Tiny Shed' is a simple and cosy space, set up to ensure you have your basics covered while you explore all the Yarra Valley has to offer. You will wake up to the sound of kookaburras, surrounded by beautiful native gums, ancient deciduous trees, all nestled on the bank of Meyer's Creek.
It is a small, self contained space, set up in a studio style, featuring a Queen size bed, bathroom and kitchen. The kitchen is fitted with a small fridge, electric mini oven and hob, toaster, kettle, and all utensils. We also have TV set up to play DVD and a great selection for you to choose from. It is located a 5 minute drive or 40 minute walk from the Healesville township on a large four acre property, surrounded by native bush, abundant wildlife and stunning grassland. The bathroom is completely off-grid, so please be aware that we have a composting toilet and electric shower.
Being only a short drive from the centre of town, there is so much that Healesville has to offer! Must visits like the Four Pillars Distillery, Innocent Bystander and Giant Steps cellar doors and great cafes (see us for our favourite local haunts) We’re in a great position to explore all of the vineyards the Yarra Valley has to offer and have maps available for your to plan your route. There’s also plenty of day walks to explore around us, from the Maroondah Dam, Toolangi State Park and Donnelley’s Weir, we’ve highlighted a few of our favourites here too!
  • It was simply awesome!

    Darcy2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • The tiny house is more than enough for 1 or 2 people for couple of days to relax ! The location is magnificient, between some farms, 10 min away driving from Healesville. It has all the essential confort that you need. I would recommend to rent it when the weather is warm and nice outside as it is a little bit small. Bathroom is so great ! Such an interesting and funny experience (was funny for me actually, if you wanna start get "green", you can start this way). Garden and property are perfectly maintained, very green, lot of trees and flowers, it is very peacefull. Jesse gave me some advices for places to go around, he is such a nice and friendly person. Thank you again for your hospitality, this is the kind of experience everybody would need at least once to get back energy from our beautiful planet !

    Audrey2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • The shed was perfect and had everything we needed. Was so close to town as well so was perfect.

    Adele2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This was the perfect base for a weekend in the Yarra Valley - super close to town, but far enough out to feel outside of the hustle and bustle! The space itself was extremely comfortable and beautifully decorated too. Thanks for having us Jesse, we’ll definitely be back!

    Elyse2020-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • Phat joint. Liked feeling secluded yet only being a 6 min drive to the main drag of Healesville. Treats were left out for my arrival, but due to allergies I couldn’t eat :( I would stay again.

    Sharnë2020-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • Jesse and Emily are great hosts. The wine, bread and chocolate cookies when we arrived were delicious and was a nice welcome. The shed is close to a lot of hiking paths and is a great place to get some quiet time. We loved it a lot! The shed is cozy and has a lot of nice details. Absolutely recommended!

A perfect, delightful, unique Yarra Valley retreat. This tiny house is set amongst a native garden on a large property; very private and secluded. Studio style; one big room with a double bed + mezzanine/bunk bed (single). Kitchenette, fireplace, coffee and tea supplies. 10 minute drive from Warburton and close to many attractions including the Redwood Forest and the Rainforest Gallery..If you're looking for a special/unique stay in the Yarra Valley...this is it!
For more info and pics, you can find us on Instagram: Redwood Tiny Home/ redwoodeastwarby....There we will keep updating photos and highlights from the house and surrounds! More info.... This "tiny home" is a beautiful, one room house equipped with all your weekend needs. Sleeps up to 3 people. Studio style with one double bed and one mezzanine/bunk bed (single). The deck is built around the trunk of an old eucalyptus tree, so it has a "treehouse" vibe. The room is large, with a big window looking onto the garden, treetops, and valley. There is enough space to spread out, read, drink tea, do yoga, and just relax. Outside, there is a large deck area with bar-style seating. You will have the whole 3/4 acre large property to yourself, so it will feel completely secluded and private. The kitchenette: Has an electric cook top, kettle, toaster, and coffee making equipment (with coffee, tea, and milk supplied) so it's great for basic food preparation, reheating, breakfast etc. But it is not ideal for cooking a large involved meal as there is no oven. You can fry eggs, make toast, do basic reheating. Antipasto platters are a good way to go here, especially if you've got your hands on some of that nice Yarra Valley produce on the way. Surrounding attractions: (Check out our personalized air bnb "guide" as well) but for now: We are a ten minute drive into Warburton township...many great cafes and cute shops The famous redwood grove is just down the road The Buddhist monastery is nearby The Yarra River has many great picnic spots Many great wineries in the area - we are locals, and happy to recommend just ask! The whole of the Yarra Valley is here to explore
It is a quiet part of the world, with a mixed demographic of tree changers, locals, and weekenders.

We built the modern 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom, 2 living area Hartamas as a home for our friends and family to have a base to explore everything Marysville has to offer. Bike riding, Hiking, Marysville Market, Stephenson Falls, Lake Mountain.
You can comfortably fit 2 families of four in Hartamas and keep the kids downstairs on their own level. Hartamas Home gives you complete access to both levels, a kids cubby house and an amazing view from 3 decks. We have even hidden a washing machine for you in case you get a bit wet in the snow or muddy on a hike.
I love a run to Stephenson Falls and back, about 6km, but my wife would much rather a drive to the local wineries or a lazy coffee in town. So much to do for everyone, if you have kids bring a fishing rod for the lake behind the pool, guaranteed to catch a fish but please throw them back for next time.
  • This is a beautiful space, you will love it!

The house has all the amenities we needed for a relaxing weekend. We had lots of fun playing in the snow too.

    Lauren2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • The house is well located, lovely views and well set up. Our group of old school friends and partners had a really enjoyable weekend. Lovely walk to the falls and saw the sculpture garden which was fantastic. The house was clean and had the necessary items. Only thing that we missed was wifi and being able to get footy on the TV, but not watching the TV wasn’t so bad for me.

Set in pleasant bird-filled gardens bordering a trout stream, our suite has queen bed, bathroom with shower and spa bath, and kitchenette. Iron available on request. Touring visitors are welcome to use our washing machine and clothesline! The suite is suitable for one or two people; it is not suitable for a family although we can provide a single mattress on the floor if necessary. We provide a light breakfast, and there are excellent local eateries for lunches and evening meals.
For the active-minded, we have tennis rackets for use in the courts across the road. Also we have a pool table and an exercise machine available in a separate building. You are welcome to try fishing from our garden, but must bring all your own equipment. There is a petrol station-cum-post office nearby which stocks milk and bread, but for other shops you will need to go to Marysville (11 kms) or Alexandra (30 kms) or byo from the city. The area has many music festivals and art shows during the year – the winter Beanie Festival in Alex is very special - and Marysville and Alexandra both host markets. Marysville markets are scheduled for the second and fourth Sunday of the month while market season in Alex is from September to May on the second Saturday of each month from 9:00am to 1:00pm in the grounds of the former railway station in Station Street. Stalls include food, fruit and veg, craft, plants and herbs, jewellery, and entertainment Marysville market boasts crafts, gifts, clothing, plants, soaps, preserves, jams, chutneys, olive oil, honey, fresh fruit and vegetables and wine. The market is bi-monthly in the warmer months but restricted to the second Sunday during the winter months. Both towns have interesting op shops and plant nurseries. With all the rivers and streams, the scenery is picturesque indeed and there are many picnic grounds along the main highways. The area is ideal for those who like to walk or climb the hills nearby.
Buxton is close to the Cathedral Range, Marysville, confluence of three trout streams, walking tracks and not far from Lake Mountain, Alexandra, Bonnie Doon and Eildon. Buxton Reserve across the road is a well-kept park with tennis courts, barbecues, children’s play area and cycle challenge. The Buxton Pub is famous for its hospitality and has an appealing menu. The Buxton trout/salmon farm is within walking distance, and in late summer you can pick blackberries to your heart’s content. This area is well-endowed with bird life. We have parrots, kookaburras, eastern spinebills, and wrens, and more. A frequent visitor is a satin bower bird and his females.
  • Fantastic little place to base yourselves before a brilliant hike around the The Cathedral Ranges. Then come back and enjoyed the fantastic garden Elaine has created.

  • Had a lovely stay here with my partner. Well thought out space with a high ceiling and a lovely garden. You can walk to the Buxton Hotel and Marysville is a short drive away, servo can also be reached on foot. There's a nice park at the end of the road with a river if you fancy a dip. Elaine and her partner were really friendly and catered to all of our needs - would stay again.

From April 2020, the Mudbrick Cottage will be available for longer term stays. Please contact us to discuss your situation and needs. A simple, earthy offgrid cottage, built with reclaimed timbers and handmade mudbricks. The Mudbrick Cottage is a peaceful and inviting space where natural living meets beauty. The Cottage has been renovated, but retains its rustic charm, with exposed wood beams, high ceilings, a wood fire, and a newly built deck to enjoy the call of wildlife.
A cosy retreat for nature lovers, couples, bike riders and bush walkers. The property is completely off grid, with power coming from the sun, and water from the rain. If the sun has not been out much, you may hear the hum of the generator powering up the batteries for a short time. Heating is via a wood heater, which will be set and ready to light when the weather cools, and ample fire wood available to you. A fan is available for cooling in the summer. The bedroom is a truly restful space, with an amazingly comfortable queen bed, perfect for tucking yourself in for an early night, or for a lazy morning in bed. The kitchen is fully equipped, with a gas oven and stovetop, bar fridge with small freezer, pots and pans, kettle, toaster and coffee machine, everything you need for a foodie's weekend away! Continental breakfast is provided, so you can start your day off with a relaxing breakfast in bed, or perhaps in the garden and enjoy our fresh mountain air. A blue tooth speaker is provided, so bring your tunes along! The cottage does not have a television or wifi, but trust us, you will enjoy unplugging. Don't worry though, mobile coverage is pretty good, so you can stay connected if need be.
The cottage is located on a 4.5 acre property, which we live at full time (our home is 30 metres away). We do have three neighbours, each with differing sized properties. So while we are located in the middle of the Yarra State Forest, there are a few other properties around which share the lane way access. The picturesque town of Warburton has many cafes, specialty stores and walking tracks, it is easy to spend the whole day exploring. The Yarra River snakes through the town centre, and locals can be found swimming and relaxing at the river on hot sunny days. There are many festivals, markets and sporting events in Warburton, as well as throughout the Yarra Valley. The Valley also has an abundance of wonderful vineyards and renowned restauraunts, perfect for an indulgent weekend. Warburton is half an hour from Mt Donna Buang. In the winter, the mountain becomes a winter wonderland, where snow play and tobogganing can be enjoyed in the state forest. Warburton can be chilly, so make sure you bring warm clothes!
  • My friend and I had an excellent stay at the cottage. The cottage is a gorgeous space, cosy and very thoughtful touches throughout. Very comfortable bed, great kitchen and a lovely breakfast courtesy of the host. Definitely will be back!

  • Beautiful, peaceful property. Lovely breakfast basket.

    Dave2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our two nights here: the serenity, cosy mudbrick and timber house, and the attention to details. Highly recommended😀

    Greg2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed at the Mudbrick Cottage for a peaceful, romantic retreat in nature and we were not disappointed. The Mudbrick Cottage was cozy with the pot belly fire (just right for a couple), bright because of the great windows looking out into the garden, almost everything locally and ethically sourced, and the place had heaps of thoughtful touches including a delicious breakfast and yummy freshly ground coffee, and hot water bottles in case it got cold! Victoria and Wayne left us to our own devices but were also super friendly and gave us helpful tips to make our stay that much more enjoyable. Lots of lovely walks around and the town and river are just a short drive away. Overall we had a really wonderful time and give the place 5 stars - we would certainly come again! Thanks Victoria and Wayne

    Alia2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Would definitely recommend spending a night here - very cute accommodation, nice touches with fresh bread provided, responsive hosts and super comfy bed. Thanks, guys!

A Little Farm In Marysville. It’s a farm but not as you know it; enjoy the views and the space (we’re on a few acres), the ducks and the chooks (Ladies with personality), take some time out, take in the views or wander down to the Steavenson River at the bottom of the property – all within walking distance to the centre of Marysville and it’s shops, café’s and pub (300 metres away). So come solo, come as a pair or come as a family or group and explore this beautiful corner of the world.
Accommodation features the comforts of home; self-contained, two bedroom (with queen beds), separate bathroom, spacious open plan kitchen-dining-lounge area, and a sofa bed (which can sleep another 2 on a very comfortable matt). Breakfast provisions are provided; eggs (from the chooks when they’re laying), bread, cereal, milk, coffee and an assortment of teas. As well as pantry staples; oil, vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper. For time spent indoors there’s plenty of DVD’s on hand to watch, CD’s to listen to or books and magazines to read and there’s a wood fire for those colder days. There’s even a verandah with a daybed where you can laze the day away.
Marysville is quite literally a natural beauty; Steavenson River runs through the town, there are numerous walking trails through the surrounding Yarra Ranges National Park, beautiful waterfalls to visit (Steavenson, Keppel, Phantom) and the Lake Mountain Alpine Resort.
  • You have to stay local knowledge hospitality and love ! Amazing beautiful area the community of Marysville has so much to offer !

    Bruce2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • The perfect hosts! They go above and beyond to share their little piece of Marysville. You will not regret staying here. Highly recommend

    Jason2020-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • Kras & Libby’s place is a little gem in nature very close to Marysville, their friendliness & kindness is above what you could expect, nice little touches where waiting for us, no doubt we will be back!

    Peter2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Kras and Libby are amazing hosts. They go the extra mile for their guests and their local knowledge is great. I could not recommend them more highly. Thanks very much Kras and Libby!

    Richard2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • It's a charming place to have a few nights. It comes with comfortable bedrooms, a modern bathroom and a big living room; all good furniture/facilities, and well-designed decorations. Not to mention the considerate and hospitable landlord, who made up the Sofabed, made the wood fire in advance and prepared us breakfast. In all, it was a surprising accommodation and a great trip. I will definitely come back to ski in winter. Staying here for a few days is really a pleasure. The house has a comfortable bedroom, a modern bathroom and a spacious living room, complete with all the furniture and facilities, and a large number of carefully furnished decor. The landlord was very attentive, warm and hospitable. Not only did we install the sofa bed for us, but also prepared fire for us in advance, we also prepared snacks, milk and eggs for us, and also took us to visit his farm. In short, this is a pleasant stay and travel experience, I have to stay here again in winter!

    Yanbo2019-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • Kras and Libby are fabulous hosts. They looked after us brilliantly and provided everything we needed and more without being intrusive. We loved the accommodation with its awe inspiring proportions and our daughter loved interacting with the chooks on the property. The view out the main window was peaceful & relaxing with chooks, ducks & brilliantly coloured native birds in the foreground, and bush beyond. The close proximity to Marysville was a great plus for anything we wanted and the area itself has so much natural beauty to offer, among other things. We loved our time here and left feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.

    Naomi2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Kras is very hospitable, his little house is perfect for a family, and in easy walking distance from town. It's comfortable and warm, and Kras makes you feel really welcome to interact with his chooks, and to walk down to the river. The cereals, bread, milk, eggs and scones meant we could bring just a couple of extras (bacon, mushrooms, fruit), and saved us the cost of eating out for breakfasts. The place is slightly uncomfortable for 6 adults - the one bathroom including toilet, accessed via a bedroom, and the sofa bed same as most sofa beds - not wonderful for 2 adults. In all other respects wonderful!

    Roma2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Don’t hesitate in booking this perfect family farm house. Located- >5minute stroll into town & backs onto the river. The house has a very clean & modern feel, with everything you could need. Kras & his wife are the most generous & inviting people (farm fresh eggs, home made choc mousse & feta scones) Glad we chose this house over the local cabins or cottages. We will be back :-)

This is a self contained tiny house situated among rainforest of the Yarra ranges. The forest surrounds us by three sides. There are plenty of tracks to go walking. So Ideal if your into bird watching, bush walking, or hiking. All our water comes from the little Yarra rivers tributaries so it's clean, untreated and fresh. The house stays very warm in winter and cool in the summer.
Attn: please know we are taking additional measure to clean and air out our space. And for the next three weeks there is currently a 5 day gap between guest bookings. We have also made sure that there is minimum 24 hours between stays over the coming months. One bedroom split level tiny house, the bed sits in a loft and there is a little bed for a little one also. There is a small bathroom with a shower and bath all hooked up to hot water and a toilet. Kitchen has gas cook top with 3 burners, small fridge and double sink. The kitchen comes fully stocked with utensils, pots and crockery. We also supply oil, salt, pepper, tea, milk and coffee. Wood fire for heating, with a wood fired oven. The space is well insulated so it stays warm and snug. It is also shaded by two beautiful beech trees so stay cool in the summer. The tiny house also has a small desk with Ethernet cable and wireless internet, which reaches throughout the space. So perfect for getting away and getting some work done, writing or music. We have some chickens, geese and a dog on the property. All are very friendly, they might come say hello, but usually keep to themselves. We have one neighbour and the tiny house is situated on the same property as our main house. The french doors open to a private garden shaded by a peach tree.
There is a large supermarket open 7 days 15 minutes away in Yarra Junction or an organic grocery store open 6 days a week called Village Greens, not open Sundays. Yarra Junction also has a laundromat if need. There are amazing walks and interesting history around the town for you to explore. The Ada tree is also located nearby. A beautiful cafe called Nancy’s of the Valley is located in Yarra Junction that serves delicious drinks and food.
  • We had a lovely getaway in Sam and April's wooden tiny house. The space has everything you could need with a unique and earthy feel. The hosts were friendly and approachable. Thanks so much for a great stay, we will definitely be back!

    Rebecca2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • A charming tiny house that's so different to the standard (and I think boring) sheds that have sprung up. It's a lovely space, and the hike from hill lead car park up to Ada Mill and the Ada tree is a great weekend 20km round trip! A word of warning, there are roosters, so if you aren't the deepest of sleepers, bring some ear plugs to fend off the dawn chorus 😊

    Matt2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful little cabin perfect for a weekend escape. Close to walking trails and a close drive to cafe’s and supermarkets.

  • Beautiful little tiny house in a great location with some good hiking in the local area through rainforests. Very cosy, lots of timber and recycled/reclaimed building materials, wonderful use of tree branches and trunks placed throughout the structure. Woodfire heater is great to kick back with a glass of wine and relax.

    Kit2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing weekend at this incredible place. Great to escape the city and relax in such a peaceful environment.

  • A beautiful, cosy tiny house set amongst pristine bush in Poweltown. So friendly and really easy check-in. Had a great time exploring thanks to April's local walking tips, where to eat and whats going on in the local area. Great place to rest and recharge. Highly recommend this place.

The apartment is located on the lower level of our house on over an acre of land with majestic mountain views. The studio is accessed by a private parking space, pathway and entrance, with your own garden area to relax outdoors. Inside is spacious, stylish and comfortable with wood tones, warm colours and quality furnishings. The Warburton main street with cafes, river and quirky country shopping is a 20 minute walk. The aqueduct trail with giant ferns and towering mountain ash, close by.
The apartment has studio style living plus a contemporary bathroom, complete with spa bath, seperate shower and mountain view. The open plan living is spacious with a king size bed, large couch and two comfy leather arm chairs placed to take in the breathtaking mountain vista. In summer watch the birds hopping about in the garden and the vibrant sunsets. In the cooler months catch the mists and clouds rolling in. There is a smart TV and wifi. However the sound system with your favourite song playing, a glass of local wine and a good book from our collection is highly recommended. The kitchen has an espresso machine, microwave , fridge, quality cookware and a cooktop but no oven. It's well set up for easy cooking in and we supply oil, salt, pepper, fresh ground coffee and organic teas. Your welcome to pick herbs from the garden. Outside on the front porch is a kettle BBQ and outdoor table and a small fire pit for cooler nights under the stars. Inside there is a split system to keep you cosy in winter and cool in summer. It's a 4 minute drive to the shops and cafes and 10 minutes walk to the aqueduct trail. The Redwoods and La La falls are close by. On a hot day swim in the river or cool down under the giant ferns. In winter visit the snow at Mt Donna Buang and spot the lyrebirds dancing through the forest. Further afield, taste cool climate wine the region is famous for, or gin from Four Pillars in Healesville, recently awarded best gin producer in the world. The Ada Tree, Healesville Sanctuary, Tarrawarra Museum........the list is endless but maybe all you need is the fresh air, spring water, beauty, comfort and tranquility of our Mountain Retreat.
Warburton is a picturesque country town. Surrounded by beautiful rainforest with the Birrarung ( Yarra River) winding through the Valley. It has incredible natural beauty. Outdoor pursuits abound, bushwalking, mountain biking, the Lilydale to Warburton rail trail, swimming and fishing in the Yarra. There is a vibrant arts community and a gourmet foody trail but we understand you may never want to leave our peaceful retreat.

  • The house was spotlessly clean and really comfortable. And the view and location are excellent. We didn’t meet Jodi, but she was an excellent host, with everything we needed provided in the house. We arrived later than planned - after the shops has closed - and Jodi even checked in with us to ensure we had food for dinner that night. Really thoughtful. We loved staying at Jodi’s place, and can’t wait to come back. (We’ve already recommended it to relatives who are looking to stay in the area soon.)

The house is sparkling clean, very well equiped and has comfortable beds / showers (not to mention the luxury of having 3 bed/bath). This is the perfect retreat for couples who want to exclude themselves from the world or adventure the beauty of the surrounds.
Mountain Tiny House is the complete luxury off-grid experience. We're powered completely by solar, a water tank, gas bottles and a compost toilet (which works better than a regular toilet, we promise).
Warburton is a small town in the Yarra Valley. Stop for a coffee or chai latte at BT Dubbs or a woodfire pizza at Little Joe's. Directly behind the stores in town you'll be able to walk along the river and feed the ducks that reside behind the township.

Marysville is one of the favourite weekend get aways for Melbournians. Popular with bike riders and bushwalkers in summer and snow lovers in winter. Our property is on the way to the beautiful Stevenson Falls. River and Lake Eildon fishing and boat cruising are also very popular. The property is constituted by several self contained units and common dinning and outdoors areas. It can be rented as individual Units or in its entirety.
This listing is for an individual unit within the property: Unit 5. This unit features a queen bed and a multi head shower with spa alike spray outlets..

Womblebank Tiny House, Warburton was established by people who have a passion for exploring and travelling and like many travellers we enjoy comfort, design and privacy. Our tiny house offers the deluxe feel of a grand hotel in miniature. Beautiful linen, exclusive toiletries and a beautiful setting. The native garden setting is restful and home to some beautiful native birds. Whether you want to tackle the local bike trails or rest, Womblebank is the place for you.
COVID-19 As a former nurse I understand the nature of a virus and the precautions need to help prevent its spread as much as one can. After each booking, I block out the day the guest leaves so I have a full day to clean and disinfect the Tiny House (I do not charge a cleaning fee). The building is small and new so easy to wipe down all the touchable surfaces. I also provide disinfectant and disposible cloths for guests to also wipe down surfaces. There is also good hand wash, soap and toilet paper provided. I do not have children and work from home, so semi self-isolating, only going out for essentials. There is everything you need to self cater so you do not need to mix with anyone once you are here. At Womblebank Warburton BnB, we allow guests to experience living in a "Tiny House" We have tried to carefully design the building to ensure our guests have everything they need during their stay.
Warburton has everything you will need for a relaxing holiday with great little cafes, wonderful bush walks, the amazing Yarra River to swim, paddle or just admire the beauty and for the push bike enthusiast, there is the Warburton Rail Trail.
  • We had a fantastic stay in this tiny house. So many thoughtful touches and such a beautiful setting, it had everything there for us and more.

    Sophie2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Julie was a lovely accommodating host and the place is gorgeous. Little touches like the quality linen, hand wash, shampoo and body lotions etc are really nice touches. Thanks for having us Julie :)

    Samantha2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Julie's tiny house was a wonderful experience. We had never stayed in a tiny house before so we weren't sure what to expect. The house was so cozy and clean! Great amenities and beautiful touches like the native worry dolls on the bed.

    Scarlett2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Julie was lovely, great for a first Tiny House experience. Breakfast provided in the fridge was a welcome surprise.

    Dale2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • From the beginning the hospitality is wonderful, the gardens and outdoor space is gorgeous and the house itself is comfortable, homely, clean and has everything you may want. The little touches are thoughtful - breakfast hamper, well equipped kitchen, lovely toiletries, entertainment equipment and very comfy bed. Peaceful slice of the forest with relaxing creek and bird sounds. We wished we could have stayed longer.

The Little House on the Hill at the eastern end of Warburton overlooks the chooks, the veggie patch, the orchard and across the valley to gorgeous 270° views. It is next door to the Big House, set on an acre that slopes down to the Yarra River. A great swimming spot on hot days and a good way to access the town and the rail trail (five minutes there, maybe ten minutes return - uphill). There are plenty of lovely walks nearby including the Aqueduct Trail that starts further up the hill.
The Little House is perfect for two people. A comfy queen bed with aircon, dvd, microwave, fridge etc. Relax and soak up the mountain air, enjoy the spring water on tap and experience all that Warby has to offer.
  • A small but very practical and efficient space that is super clean, has amazing little touches such as quality bread, jam and ground coffee, and that is before the spectacular views and the access to the jaw dropping aqueduct trail. Thank you Bruce for providing such a nice respite away from the hustle and bustle. Hope to be back!

    Michael2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Very cute little bed sitter - lovely walk into town. Good value. Suited us for a short stay in this lovely region. Thanks for the oval tips😊

    Tristan2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Bruce’s place was better than expected! His place is really accessible via Melbourne (Melbourne Central to Lilydale - 1 hour and then hop onto a bus at Lilydale and it brings you directly to to his street. 2 hours journey via public transport. Bruce fetches us from the bus stop. Such a kind gesture. Loved the place. It’s a little heaven on earth! Beautiful! Facing the mountains and the view was splendid. His place was exactly as described in the listing, maybe even better in person. There is a small valley just down the road. Bruce had left us bread, butter, fruits and even chocs. Best Airbnb I have stayed in Melbourne in the countryside! A splendid experience!! Our holiday was made perfect with Bruce’s perfect little home. Cheers

    Nusra2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • The little house on the hill is so picturesque and has the most stunning views of the hills. We loved the cosy and charming styling of the place, as well as being able to walk down to the Yarra and into town. Highly recommend!

  • My second time in this amazing part of the world. I spent a lovely couple of days being soothed by the incredible nature around the house and Warburton. So beautiful, and a wonderful place to stay. Highly recommend. Thank you so much!
