My house is only a 15 min bus ride to the city center its also a 15 min walk to the West end and the Universities and local amenities There's also a 24hr tescos very close. CHECK OUT TIME 10 am as i go to work (WED-SUN only) however the room doesn't have to be vacated right away. I just need time to clean . (MON-TUES) check out can be later just ask. EARLIER CHECK IN IS AVAILABLE IF THE ROOM IS VACANT PLEASE INFORM ME IF THIS IS REQUIRED!
i CAN TAKE UP TO 4 PEOPLE AS I HAVE 2 HOUSE CLOSE TOGETHER The room is light and airy with modern decor and a cosy homely feel. its very central for the festival areas and the botanical gardens,universities,art galleries,Transport Museum, There's a new gym across the road and a 24hr tescos very near by. I always try to keep a nice ambience in my home its very clean and tidy and i take great pride in this.
I have lived in this house most of my life and the neighbours are great and very welcoming.
  • This is hands down the best Airbnb that I've stayed in my entire life. I'll divide this review into 3 parts. Area/location - This area is very close to the west end of Glasgow which is 10 mins away and the commute is very easy by the bus if you want to go to the city centre. It'll take you 15 - 20 mins to reach the city centre. There's a 24 hours Tesco 5 mins away which has everything that you will need. This area is very safe and very good. Cleanliness - This house and the room was very clean and totally up to the mark. Paul provided us with all the utilities and made an extra effort to make us feel welcomed. Comfort - The room is fairly big and there's a small TV in the room for you to enjoy Netflix. Room is very cozy and comfortable and of course you have Jake in the house who is a cute little dog. I would surely recommend my friends to stay here if they visit Glasgow.

    Botanical Gardens, University, Stand, Hydro, Kelvingrove. Free parking. Rennie MacIntosh Church, Glasgow University, Ashton Lane. Queen Margaret Drive is the Botanical Gardens part of Byres Rd.
    This area is the last outpost of free parking this close to Downtown. Like most all UK cities, the West End bit is the Victorian part, and, as they introduced parks, art galleries museums etc, So that's where most the cafes and the restaurants are too. Glasgow city centre is the usual glass-fronted anodyne rubbish, (does have a LOT of shopping though) but the east end has some really nice Georgian architecture. Access to Loch Lomond is half an hour from the apartment.
    Queen Margaret Drive is a cafes, craft/vintage/second-hand shops, baking, knitting, pal-arounding kind of space. We have a Festival of Owls, we don't actually have any owls, but we do celebrate them. So, that kind of sums us up I think. Daft, but friendly.

    Large 1 bedroom flat with lovely light. Beautiful high ceilings that come with a period property. The bedroom has a king size bed and faces the back shared area of the flats ensuring a quiet space. The kitchen has great amenities, space to eat and sit on the sofabed. The sofabed is great for 1 adult or 2 children. The bright living room has ample seating and a baby grand piano that you're welcome to play! There is a separate bath and shower in the bathroom which is off the large hallway.
    This red sandstone flat has not been converted into a 2 bed as many similar have, making it a unique space with 2 sitting areas. It also has a beautiful baby grand piano in the serene living area.
    The flat is right next to the beautiful Botanic Gardens and Kelvin walkway. The flat is a 15 minute walk to bustling Byres Road, where there are plenty of restaurants, cafes, shops and bars. There are also local cafes and pubs within 5 minutes walking distance and local shops even closer. There is also a 24 hour tesco nearby.

The university precinct isn't much further, with its galleries and museums - all great. We parked on the street outside the apartment with no problems. All in all a very relaxing time.

    I have 1 room near the west end (15-20 min walk to Byres Road). Private estate with private well kept gardens and private free parking (within view of property). Guests have main bathroom to themselves. Fibre Broadband access. Balcony access for smokers, 24 hour supermarket and MacDonalds nearby. This property is also LGBTQ friendly 🏳️‍🌈
    A very cute fluffy cat lives here (Who thinks he’s a dog). He’s very cute but sometimes leaves fluff behind. I provide lint remover rollers for guests clothes in the room (just in case you find any fluff). He is an indoor cat and he does get brushed, clipped and bathed regularly. The litter tray is also kept in my en-suite not in the areas that guests will be using. Room has access to the main bathroom which doesn’t get used by me much as I have a private ensuite.
    Private quiet street, seems like suburbs but is still in the main city. Private well kept garden and well lit parking within view of the property.

  • My wife and I spent 4 lovely days with Deb and Ludo (her cat). She is one of the friendliest and most accommodating hosts we've ever had with Airbnb. Her place is about a 45-minute walk from the city center, but there is a bus stop nearby if you don't like walking. Also, it's only about a 15-20 minute walk from the West End, where you will find many nice shops, bars, and restaurants. Her apartment is large, clean, and comfortable. In short, everything was as advertised or better. Highly recommended!

    Set in a very quiet residential area in the west end of Glasgow. 7 minutes walk from Byers road in the heart of the west end. Minutes away from cafe's shops,bars, restaurants and transport links to city centre and beyond. 3 minutes from the botanic gardens and also close to Glasgow University. Its a really peaceful place but close to all the attractions the west has to offer. 1 bedroom, seperate kitchen, lounge and bathroom and installed GCH. There is also a nice wee balcony to enjoy the sunset.
    Suitable for Couples and singles looking for a cheap get away to the West End of Glasgow. Set in a residential block of 8 flats away from the main roads which makes for a very peaceful stay. Full use of all amenities in the flat. Excellent link to city centre or further west out side the city.
    Just a quick 1 min walk down the hill and you wil find nice coffee shops and a small tesco walk a bit further and you wil get to byers road with bars, resteraunts and anthing you need to make your stay a good one.

    A bright, spacious double bedroom in a spectacular West End tenement with high ceilings and original features. For one person and available to couples for short stays only. Fantastic views out over the Botanic Gardens and Kelvin Meadow to the back, close to Glasgow University with good transport links into the city centre and other universities. In easy reach of Byres Road, Kelvingrove Park, Finnieston and routes out towards Loch Lomond. We will happily give tips on how to best explore the city.
    Guests are very welcome to use the large kitchen to prepare meals, make tea and coffee etc. The flat is on the first floor of a beautiful tiled communal stair. There is free on street parking and very easy access to Kelvin Walkway and the Forth & Clyde Canal for walkers and cyclists. The flat is shared with Macy, a very friendly and chatty cat.
    There are numerous cafes on Queen Margaret Drive, close to the flat and many more on Byres Road where you also find a cinema, bars and restaurants, Waitrose and Hillhead Subway.

    You will stay in a beautiful large new ensuite on a separate floor to the rest of my apartment. The room has a UK King size bed, drawers, a hanging rail, desk & chair & an arm chair. I supply freshly washed & ironed bed white bed linen, towels &bathrobes. You look out over the back garden so it is very quiet. Wifi is very fast and you can also use the washing machine in the kitchen. This is the only room that I let out, so you won't bump into anyone else except me or occasionally my boyfriend
    The apartment is on a quiet tree lined street with its own front garden. It is light and airy with high ceilings. Entry to the the flat is via the front door from the tree lined street. Your bedroom and bathroom are on a separate floor to the rest of the flat, so you have privacy. The rooms are at the back of the building and very quiet. The bathroom in the en suite is full size, with a shower, basin and toilet. You can use the kettle and microwave in the kitchen and I give you space in a cupboard and the fridge to store food. I also leave you some tea, coffee and sugar. The access to the en suite is via a spiral staircase, so you need reasonable mobility to stay here.
    Glagow's West End is a great place to be and this is a such a great location. The street is quiet, but one minute round the corner, you have a choice of about 5 cafes, shops and a cash machine(ATM). There is an enormous selection of bars, restaurants, cafes and bakeries. Just around the corner from the flat there are about 6 cafes and a small supermarket is less than 5 minutes walk away.

    My place is a spacious top-floor 2-bedroom apartment situated within a secure modern development. It is surrounded by traditional Victorian tenements that appear so handsome no matter the time of the year. One gets a stunning wide view of the Campsie Fells from the master bedroom, which comes with an en-suite. The 2nd bedroom doubles as a study with a printer and workspace available for use, and contains a single bed that may be converted into a double. An airbed with linen, blankets and pillows are provided for the 5th guest. Large open-concept lounge and kitchen with all modern appliances are available for use by guests. The TV comes with Apple TV for those who prefer to watch their own shows or subscriptions like Netflix. I adore the electronic piano which you may use for home entertainment - but watch the volume, don't disturb the neighbours!:D We are also proud to share that the apartment is decorated with several prints and original artworks depicting the beauty of Scotland (from wildlife to island living!) - all by Scottish artists as well! We hope you will enjoy this cosy living space that embraces both unpretentious style and homely comfort. Additionally, this property is extremely ideal for visitors who are driving/renting a car as part of their visit to Glasgow due to free street parking 24/7. We also have an underground garage which suits longer-staying guests better due to method of access - please discuss with us ahead of time if you would like to use it. Note there will be an additional fee for that.
    North Kelvinside is a peaceful residential district located immediately north of the Botanic Gardens. There are many quirky independent cafes, eateries and shops, including the popular North Star Cafe.     Set in a peaceful, residential area in the heart of Glasgow’s West End, the flat has a quiet, relaxed, residential feel yet is only a short walk to the many restaurants and independent shops of Byres Road and the beauty of the Botanic Gardens is a 10- minute walk away. Byres Road hosts many great shops, cafes, restaurants, a Subway station and an independent cinema. There is the splendour of Glasgow University, Kelvingrove Park and Kelvingrove Art Gallery all within easy walking. Although the property has its own parking, there is rarely a need to use a car, so convenient is the area for public transport.
  • A nice, cozy place in the West End. Five minute walk to the Botanic Gardens, 10-15 minute walk to the Subway for all other points. Nice accessibility to a Tesco Express a 2 minute walk away. Recommendations: Be sure to bring a hair dryer with you, and try to get your shopping done the day you arrive. Had to purchase paper towels, toilet paper, hand and dish soap, and dishwasher tabs, along with the groceries I'd need within the first day. Also, keep in mind there is no dryer for washing, but a drying rack, if you are looking to do your laundry or wash some of your towels while staying.

    Located in the sweet spot between the top of Byres Road (The West End) and the start of the West Highland way in Milngavie, our south facing living area and balcony gets sun for most of the day, the light and bright modern interior is styled with a light Scandinavian touch. Journey time to the city centre ~10-20 minutes depending on the time of day. There is a garage next door that is open 24/7 that has a basic selection of items to buy. A few minutes walk up to Maryhill there is Tesco Extra
    We have private, off-street parking underneath the building with an allocated space for the apartment. The building also offers step free access via an elevator, the entrance to which is via the private car park on the ground floor. It is also one of the few homes in the area that has a balcony.
    Across the road from the apartment is the Botany Bar and Restaurant who offer a Scottish Fusion menu with a gluten free option. Also near the apartment is Franco's pizzeria, Wongs Restaurant offering Chinese and Zensation, an Asian Fusion restaurant.

    The apartment's living room is large with high ceilings and two full height windows creating a lovely and generous living space. The living room has an L-shaped chaise sofa which converts into a sofa bed (fee included!). The double bedroom is a good size with high ceilings with a comfortable double bed, large wardrobe space with drawers. Plenty of room to get ready for the day ahead or for an evening in the nearby restaurants and bars of the West End. The modern kitchen is newly installed and fully equipped and cupboard space for your food and free use of all the equipment including the toaster, kettle, microwave, washing machine, cooker and fridge/freezer. The bathroom has a relaxing deep bath with an over bath shower.
    Elegant and dotted with cultural, culinary and historic gems, The West End is the area where people of different tastes and cool cats gravitate towards. It is the area which is home to great exploration choice such as the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum with its coveted art collections and appealing exhibitions and the Hunterian Museum and Art Gallery as well as The Mackintosh House. It is also an area abundant with shopping bargain spots grouped around the lanes Ashton, Dowanside and Cresswell with a particular favorite being the Starry Starry Night, a much-loved vintage dream den. In terms of social and nightlife, the Oran Mor, a converted church and now whisky bar, restaurant, and events venue, is a favorite and a half. Besides the various shops, restaurants and historical building such as the University of Glasgow, West End also has quite a lot to offer in terms of festivities.   • Lovely one bedroom apartment in an old tenement building. The flat itself is small but it was the perfect size for a couple. Fully equipped kitchen meant saving some money during our long 3-week stay. There’s also a washing machine which was a great convenience for us. Bedroom is quite spacious and there’s lots of hangers to hang your clothes and also a hair dryer. The shower is the highlight, great water pressure and always warm. Check in was easy and communication with Host was always fast and reliable. One thing to keep in mind: being a tenement building, there’s no lifts. So it’s three flights of stairs each way, up and down. Good exercise.

The place offers good transport and has recently been refurbished, so the kitchen, wet room, bedroom and living room are all stylish, well equipped and pleasant to live in or use. The couch is very comfortable and although it cannot turn into a bed I don’t mind someone sleeping in it.
    My apartment is bright and airy, super comfortable and very clean. It is located in one of Glasgow’s most desirable areas. Near good transport, nice lovely places and local small businesses. We have refurbished the flat recently to live in it, so it was made with lots of love!

The flat is located just off Byres Road in the West End, where you can find fantastic coffee shops, bookstores, the botanical garden, two subway stations, and independent shops (and the University). The flat is gorgeously done, and Chris and Alex made it as homely as possible; while we were out all day, it was a joy to return to. Lastly, Chris and Alex were great regarding keeping in touch and all the relevant details were provided ahead of time.     The flat is situated in a quiet residential street, 500 m from the Botanic Gardens in Glasgow’s west end. Byres Rd and Great Western Rd are under 10 mins walk away, they have lots of vibrant bars and restaurants with every sort of food you could think of! The subway will get you into the centre of town in 6 mins , that’s if you want to leave the best bit of Glasgow! There’s Kelvingrove park and museum just a short walk along the river , it’s a lovely green and leafy area . There’s a sight seeing hop on hop off bus that’s is well worth a go. Lots to see and do! It’s a fab place to base yourself and with in 30 mins drive to Loch Lomond and other lovely parts of Scotland . The flat itself is in a block of 8 flats and it’s very quiet , it’s the ground floor and has a balcony which gets the sun all afternoon. A great central location to explore the lovely city of Glasgow. 😊

    Byres rd and great western rd is where all the action is, but on Queen Margaret drive their is a few coffee shops and gift shops well worth a look. I particularly like Williams and North Star for coffee. Opal moon is one of my all time fav shops........you will see why!

  • Great apartment in fantastic location - bit of steep climb walking uphill from the main road if you're not used to it (we live in the Netherlands) but so handy for shops, bars, restaurants and local transport. Fairly quiet area so we all slept really well in the comfy beds. Small balcony was an added bonus for the two smokers in our group, who wouldn't have been happy having to stand outside in the heavy rain that we had during our week in December. Karen was a great host too and answered any queries we had quickly. I'd definitely recommend the flat and hope to stay there again next time I'm in Glasgow.

Above two really good Italian cafes and views of the Botanical Gardens. Kelvin River scenic walk right outside, but only mins walk from all the restaurants, bars and cafes in Glasgow's West End.
    Queen Margaret Drive is the same street as Byres Rd, a friendly little community with a lot of cafes, craft shops and everything from knitting, piercings to bakeries catered for.

    By the Kelvin walkway, we overlook Botanic Gardens arboretum. 10-min walk to Byres Road, the heart of the West End. We have a spacious second-floor double-bedded room, overlooking a wild meadow. Main bathroom almost private - we have a 2nd shower-room. You can use the living room, which we are often not in, with great views towards the hills. Tea/coffee, work desk and TV in your room. 2nd fridge/freezer for you, with full kitchen access. We have two children and a cat. Multi-week stay ideal.
    We are in a Grade II listed tenement building with many original features throughout, dating from the arts and crafts period - flower and bird motifs appear regularly. The living room has an unusual five-pane bay window - you can sit here with 180 degree views across the River Kelvin to the north-west and the hills. Your room is the original main bedroom of the property, and with the door shut is well sound-proofed from the rest of the apartment. Our children (6 and 8) are usually in bed by 8pm and the living room will be free for your use - we may occasionally be in there too. Help yourself to the piano! We also have a small Siamese cat called Ziggy who is very friendly.
    We are only 10 minutes from Byres Road with its wealth of shops and restaurants, but are surrounded by green space. Behind us is an award-winning inner city meadow and wood. In front of us is the River Kelvin and across that, the Arboretum of the Botanic Gardens with easy access to the Botanics themselves. A 2 minute walk takes you down to the Kelvin Walkway, a green artery through the West End, taking you to Kelvingrove Park and beyond. Great cafes are available on nearby Queen Margaret Drive as well as local shops and a Tesco Extra is a five-minute walk up the road.

  • I stayed with Emily and the family for a month, and I'd gladly have stayed longer if possible! The flat is huge and the location in the West End is ideal; very quiet with all kinds of green spaces, shops and transport options available within a few minutes' walk. My bedroom was pleasant and warm with a very comfortable bed, and I had the almost exclusive use of a bathroom (with bath and excellent shower) and the enormous lounge. There's a top quality, good-sized kitchen where I even had my own fridge! The hosts are chatty but not intrusive, and super-helpful, willing to do whatever they can to help guests. The 2 children are also very pleasant and the nice wee cat is likely to stay out of your way unless you give it lots of attention, as I did! I can highly recommend this accommodation whether your visit is short or for the longer term.

Everything you could possibly need is on-hand and nothing is too much bother. It's a very open-house environment which makes you feel instantly at home. However, the family respect your privacy at all times and the bedroom is huge and very comfortable. Polite and cheery children with lovely parents and, of course, their beautiful cat, Ziggy! - such an amazing family! The location is perfect: very central for all amenities with bus/tube stops within walking distance. Note that the Kelvin Walkway is a 2-minute walk from the flat and is a gorgeous feature of Glasgow. I was very sad to say goodbye but will be sure to keep in touch.

Mimi the dog is cuddly and adorable and made the place truly feel like home. The West end neighborhood was exactly the kind of place we love to stay in. Restaurants, cafes, bookstores, and pubs nearby, along with beautiful walks through the Botanic Gardens and along the river. Highly recommend!

  • Roz's flat is not only situated in my favorite bit of Glasgow just above the Botanic Gardens, but it is a welcoming, attractive and restful place from which to explore the city. Roz is beyond friendly and hospitable, making sure every part of the stay is suitable and enjoyable, and the place is so inviting and comfy- I got some excellent, much-needed rest! The west end is all within walking distance, and a nearby subway stop takes you right into the city centre. Stay with Roz if you're looking for a taste of true Glasgow hospitality in a warm, charming space.

    Great Location! Traditional Tenement Apartment on the ground floor. Fabulous reviews. 1 year old Cockapoo dog, who is hypoallergenic and does not shed hair. 5 min walk from the heart of the most desired neighbourhood in Glasgow - Byres Road [ bars, cafe's, culture]. 20min by bus or underground into city centre. Modern / Traditional features indoors. Double bed with goose down duvet. Hot shower. Wifi. Whisky tasting! Open fireplace. Free parking. Piano. If sunny you can sit in the front garden.
    Just a few minutes walk from everywhere you'd want to go in the West End - bars and restaurants in Ashton Lane, Botanic Gardens [ which is a great place for running], Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, SECC [ 40 min walk or you can hire a local bike],Charles Rennie Macintosh House at the Hunterian Gallery,Glasgow University, Hillhead Underground station... And convenient for the city centre [half hour walk or a few stops on the underground] or getting out of town and exploring the rest of Scotland. Edinburgh Festival is an easy commute by car [40min] or by train [40 min]. The West End is one of Glasgow's most desired and hip neighbourhoods with a great range of smart bars coffee shops and restaurants including Scottish, Thai, Japaneese, Indian, Italian, Vietnamese and Spanish cuisines. I will welcome guests on arrival and will be happy to familiarise guests with travel and local information. There is also a selection of Liqueurs and Whiskies on offer for tasting!! Your bedroom is a bright, quiet room with the luxury of a goose down duvet, white fresh bedlinen and white towels. Wardrobe hanging space and set of drawers. A television with all the freeview digital channels. Hairdryer and Straighteners. There's free on-street parking right outside the house. Unlimited high-speed wireless internet and printer access. Plenty of power points for laptops or chargers. While my guests are staying in my home I invite them to use all the facilities as if it were their own. Use of lovely big family kitchen for cooking, tea, coffee and chatting. The kitchen also has access onto a balcony with bbq and looks over a luscious green garden. Laundry and drying facilities available. The shared bathroom has a powerful stand alone shower and a traditional roll top bath. Hot water is available 24hrs a day so you could have a bath any time of the day. All towels are included. The living room has traditional features with two very comfortable settees. There is also a gorgeous boudoir piano in the bay window. A coal/wood open fire centres the room along with freeview/digital television. There is also a selection of various DVD's for rainy days.     The neighbourhood is the heart of the cultural and bohemian West End, and the local residents are friendly, obliging and always happy to help visitors to the area if they ask for assistance. A green, leafy area that is bubbling with coffee shops, bars and restaurants. AND! they are all within walking distance from the apartment.

  • This is the best Airbnb by far I've stayed in. Rosalind is a true host, warm and welcoming, I felt very at home in her beautiful house and Millie is the friendliest dog I've ever met! A great locality with lots of things to do and perfect for an early stroll around the botanic gardens followed by coffee and croissant in one of the many lovely local cafés. Walking distance to Glasgow University, Kelvingrove and the Subway station. Really enjoyed my stay in Glasgow and I hope to return in the near future!

  • Rosalind is really a very good landlord, kind and welcoming, and there are very few accommodations that feel like home. The house is very warm and clean, and the facilities are complete, which is perhaps the favorite place to stay in my trip. Puppy Mimi and I became good friends, she is very embarrassed.     A very clean, modern and really well fitted out re-modelling of a traditional tenement flat. A good example of a typical Glasgow home but fully modernised. It is light and bright with good open aspects and views due to being top floor and taller than the buildings around. It has a very efficient layout and an excellent kitchen space open plan to the living area. The flat is well equipped with super-fast 150mbps wi-fi, hair dryer, L'Occitane toiletries, simple breakfast items, welcome pack, travel cot, umbrellas etc and a well equipped kitchen. We also have memory foam mattresses, excellent heating and insulation plus we only use ecological cleaning products.
    The flat is tucked away on a quiet residential street with open aspects to the south and great local shops and eateries very nearby. The busier parts of the West End are minutes away with the Botanic Gardens and River Kelvin also offering relaxing walks and pleasant pedestrian routes deeper into the city.
