  • Lovely cottage for a trip away from the hustle & bustle of the city

    Robert2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • A great cottage in the country. We really enjoyed the fireplace in the evening. Victoria communicates very well with us. The house was spotless with some thoughtful little touches. Having cattle and loads of cockatoos around was really something. Everything in the house seemed fresh. A nice little house on a farm. Cows and chickens roam freely on the property and cockatoos fly around. Quite different than a house in the city.

    Loreen2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Super modern scandinavian place, unexpected from a farm stay. Very friendly dogs, cows, ponies. My dog enjoyed the farm stay, he chased the other dogs and chickens around, played with the ponies and kissed the cows. Overall a great stay away from all the hustle and bustle. I wish I could stay longer and forget about all the stress of work. Didn't expect much from a farmstay but left rejuvenated and stressfree.

  • A tastefully decorated house on a property that has the most beautiful cattle I have ever seen. We visited the wineries, car museum and Ansett museum. Also if you enjoy history, Aradale and J ward the former goal are well worth a visit. The home is well stocked with pans should you want to cook. We had a few dinners at the Ararat RSL.

  • Great place to stay if you want time away from the hustle and bustle.

    Nikhil2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage is perfect for a little getaway. The house itself was spotless and basic eating/drinking/cleaning essentials (coffee/tea, salt/pepper/sugar, olive oil, shampoo/conditioner etc.) were provided. We felt very looked after and thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

  • Beautiful place, with a strong sense of history. Pretty special 👌

    Liss2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • One of the most wonderful and unique experiences I’ve had using Airbnb. Will place is a perfect combination of character and design touches. We stayed in the master room (4) and was it clean and thoughtfully arranged. The bathrooms and common areas were well equipped and nicely put together too. We were considering this place or a hostel when doing the grampians and we are SO glad we chose here. Stay here, it’ll be one of the highlights of your trip!

    Henry2020-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • The place is great for group gathering. It’s cosy and proper farm stay. Bathroom is pretty modern. The common area was specious and great for bbq. I was there in a very hot day and it took a while till our room cooled down. Will was helpful with instructions.

    Mahsa2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • we absolutely enjoyed the space. 3 days was simply not enough. everything was well furbished. we look forward to come back and visit once the yard is finished. the perfect getaway for people looking to get away from the busy city and would just like to lounge around and enjoy the amazing scenery. will is a fantastic host!

    Wan Nur Fatin2019-12-07T00:00:00Z
  • Appears as advertised, which is to say: really great! The shearer’s quarters have been modernised well, retaining their authentic feel while now very cosy and comfortable.

    Tim2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • Really cool place for any kind of event or just a short stay! Area is amazing and Will was very good with the communication end of things!

    Conor2019-11-16T00:00:00Z
  • The house is amazing! The experience was unbelievable! There is no internet in the farm! Therefore, the only thing for us to do is enjoy the nature. The farm experience was amazing. It’s interesting and good for us to leave the city for one night. Putting yourself in the nature, to calm you down. Come and play!

  • This place is wonderful if you're a group visiting the Grampian. It makes a perfect place for party or gathering if you're able to fit the whole property. Already had some fun group games planning in my head when I reached there. It is literally in the middle of nowhere, be ready for that. Very good value and surprisingly clean for the bathrooms.

    Andrès2020-01-07T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay here... the common area was nice and comfortable and the sleeping quarters were definitely not-frills’ but were in such a great setting. Highly recommended as a weekend farm getaway.

    Jeremy2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • A really nice peaceful place if you’re wanting to stay a little outside of halls gap. I booked very last minute and Will was very accomodating, highly recommend.

    Emma-Leigh2019-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • Will’s place was exactly what I hoped for and more. The rustic charm really made for an amazing weekend getaway out of the city! Will is a stand up guy, very welcoming and always up for a conversation. We felt extremely welcome in his beautiful space. Beds were comfy and the space had everything we needed. The weekend we went it was rainy and chilly so be sure to check the weather and back bedding accordingly! I would highly recommend this Airbnb. Thanks again Will.

    Hannah2019-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • Much better than expected, cute rustic styling, and has everything you need. The hosts were lovely. I would stay here again.

    Justin2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • My sister and I had a lovely stay in Will’s shearer quarters. We felt welcome and at home from the moment we arrived, and had a warm, sound nights sleep despite the stormy weather outside. The farm is picturesque and the baby lambs were absolutely adorable. Will and his staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a lovely stay. Would definitely return!

    Colleen2019-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • The Shearers Quarters is a lovely place to stay that is away from the hustle & bustle of Halls Gap but within easy access to the walking trails in the Grampians. It has everything you need for self catering, the bedrooms are cosy with comfortable beds & there is a great open fireplace in the communal lounge space. Will is a great host & around if you need him. Communication was easy & so check in was all very straightforward. I would highly recommend staying here if you like some peace & quiet & enjoy walking.

Isolated, environmentally friendly rammed earth house with magnificent views of the Mt William Range and the Grampians. Surrounded by national park.
Jeraboam is a secluded cottage on 90 acres situated just within the Grampians National Park near Moyston. Enjoy magnificent views of the Mt William Range, watch kangaroos, emus, wallabies, deer and birds from the windows and walk in the surrounding bush. There are many walking tracks nearby. Jeraboam is off the grid and strives to be completely self-sufficient in energy and water. Heating and hot water is provided via a wood stove and open fireplace. There is a large cleared area around the house with an outdoor setting and barbecue. There is also a bonfire pit and vegetable garden and orchard where you are welcome to pick your own produce. A separate bungalow containing a double and a single bed and a wood heater is available by arrangement. Jeraboam has its own seasonal creek and a permanent landscaped dam, available for swimming.
Jeraboam is surrounded by national park. It is 15 minutes drive from the nearest shop (Moyston) and has no permanent neighbours. While you are staying with us, you will see (and hear) only bush, wildlife, and wildflowers. Halls Gap, Stawell and Ararat are all about a half hours drive away as are Lake Fyans and Lake Bellfield. Wineries, such as Seppelts, Langhi Ghiran, Montara and Bests are an easy drive too.
  • What a place! Just absolutely incredible spot and so quiet and peaceful. The Australian countryside really comes alive as the sunsets. We saw emus and kangaroos everywhere. Truly spectacular

    Tom2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Peace and Tranquility with an abundance of wildlife. Can’t recommend higher enough. The views are amazing, the journey is exciting, the stars at night are untarnished and on top of it all the veggie patch kept us fed all weekend.

    Simon2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! Arriving at this house was such a joy. There aren’t a lot of photos but the reality exceeded the expectations. The house was clean, tidy, and had everything we needed. Also very beautiful and rustic. Instructions for everything, which made our self sustained, eco friendly stay, that much more enjoyable. Not to mention the incredible wild life that we witnessed, as well as the view of the grampians. Would love to stay here again, definitely a memorable experience we won’t forget.

The available veggie and fruit garden is fantastic, and we highly enjoyed watching the wildlife move in at dusk. The house is great and offers everything you need. HEAVILY DISCOUNTED RATES FOR LONGER STAYS, put in your required dates to see prices. Wifi connection is good. This beautiful 3-bedroom Victorian cottage has been tastefully renovated into an impressive modern home yet still retains many of its original historical features and charm with Baltic pine floors and ceilings and open red brick fireplaces. You will have full use of the house and gardens; our cottage is in town and walking distance to shops/wineries/pub and café-most still open for T/A
Whether you are here for a staycation, WFH, self isolation, the bush-walking, or the great local wines (still available from the T/A window at the local pub), we are sure that you will love coming back ‘home’ and relaxing in front of the open fire or enjoying a glass of wine under the stars. The 100-year-old Judas tree is the centrepiece of the front garden and displays the most magnificent magenta blossom each year. The extensive landscaping is complete with small pockets to retreat to with a book and a glass of wine. There are tables and chairs which can be moved around. Also, we have outdoor heaters for the cooler months. Massage treatments suspended for the time being. We are both animal lovers, so pets of all sizes are most welcome. The back garden is fenced, but smaller dogs may get under the back gate and will most likely need to be tethered if unsupervised. Please note we don’t allow pets in the house. The kitchen is a commercial kitchen, so there is no shortage of pans, skillets, knives etc. Breakfast is "make your own" – you will find a selection of cereals, bread, spreads, jams, teas and ground coffee. Some staples will also be provided. Please note that the cottage is on a main road so there is some road noise during the day and night. We always plan to meet you when you arrive, but there is a lockbox at the back door if we miss each other. We enjoy living in a small country town, as do our neighbours, so please keep noise to a minimum after 10pm.
For wine lovers the township boasts Best’s and Seppelt, two of Victoria’s most historic wineries and several more within a short 5-minute drive, all with cellar doors. There is also the local pub and cafe within walking distance. We provide 2 pushbikes if you prefer to ride around; they are normally locked away so please let us know prior to checking in and you will need to bring your own helmets. A scenic 30-minute drive will see you in Halls Gap And the breathtaking Grampians National Park. And nearby Lake Fyans is renowned for water sports and recreational activities.
  • Amazing cottage! Katy & Karl thankyou for all the care and thought you have put into it. A beautiful part of the world.

    Stephanie2020-03-16T00:00:00Z

    Nancy2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Couldn’t recommend Katy’s place enough! We had a lovely time and enjoyed the comfort and style of Katy’s home. Katy has thought of everything from basic amenities through to special added touches to make our stay seamless. Great Western is a lovely community and we enjoyed both the wineries and hikes in the nearby Grampians.

Self-contained, 2 x queen bedroom villa, linen & towels. High grade disinfectant used on every surface and hot wash for bedding. Explore the wonderful Grampians or relax on your veranda or in front of the wood fire or split system air-conditioner. The comforts of home, close to walking and cycling tracks to Halls Gap (2km), the Brambuk loop walk and Boronia Lookout. You are likely to see Kangaroos, emus, echidnas and deer wandering through the property. There is also an abundance of bird-life.
The villa will be all yours. The two queen beds are made for you with sheets and doonas. Ideal villa for two couples. We are happy if there are 4 people plus a baby (there is a portacot there) or a child - please contact us directly once you book to request a roll-out bed (best suited for a child) with linen/bedding provided - this can be placed in one of the bedrooms or in the lounge room. However, you will need to put the linen/blankets/doona on this bed yourselves (we will leave in the bedroom cupboard for you).
It is wonderful place to live right in the middle of the Grampians with bushwalks across the road and great cycling/walking paths to cafes/restaurants/shops in Halls Gap. It is a quiet end of town. There are 4 villas on the property but you will still feel like you are out in nature, as wildlife wanders through the property and you are right in the Grampians National Park. Brambuk Cultural Centre across the road is well worth a visit and they have a lovely little cafe too. Take care of the Kangaroos on road (thousands of them everywhere and some emus and deer too). Good idea to book for evening meals to be sure. These are some of our favourites: Great food at Kookaburra Hotel in Halls Gap and a good bar for a drink too. Halls Gap Hotel on road to Stawell Rd. Barney's Bistro/pub in Pomonal is worth the drive Wed-Sun evenings & Sat/Sun lunch (in an old shearing shed). And while you are in Pomonal, there is a new winery worth visiting called Pomonal Estate, on the Pomonal-Stawell Rd. There are many other wineries in the area too, including Fallen Giants on the Halls Gap-Ararat Rd, Seppelts and Bests in Great Western. Grampians Wine Tours can take you there https://www.grampianswinetours.com.au/ Brambuk Aboriginal Culture Centre's cafe across the road make a good cuppa and have some interesting and tasty lunch and snack foods. The Adventure Golf Cafe on the left towards Lake Bellfield is good for lunches, snacks and Fri/Sat evening meals and beer/wine too. Harvest and Livefast in Halls Gap are both great for breakfast and lunch. Punjab Indian between HG and your villa. The motel just up from us called 'The Views', towards Lake Bellfield, same side of road as us, haven't been there for a while, was slightly more expensive but good food and a pet kangaroo. Actually kangaroo was my favourite dish there too. (Sorry if you are a vegetarian lol). Good for breakfast too. I would grocery shop in a bigger town prior to arrival, however there is a small supermarket in Halls Gap that is useful if you need some items. The tourist info centre will have maps and can advise you. The Pinnacle walk is great if you are reasonably fit and have a few hours spare and it is from the Wonderland Carpark or if you want a longer walk it starts from the Venus Baths walk at the back of the caravan park near the shops in Halls Gap (the Venus Baths walk via the botanical gardens is a lovely little walk). Boroka and Reeds lookouts are special too (drive) and do MacKenzie Falls while you are there too. There is also a lovely circuit walk over the road from the villa down a path and across a little bridge at the back of the Brambuk maintenance sheds (walk slightly right from the villas). Lots of Kangaroos, Emus and Deer out there and you can walk across to the trees on the little track and follow it left and then when another left option with a sign to Brambuk occurs, you take it left to go over another footbridge and then travel left to get back to Brambuk. Or don't take the left over the bridge and keep walking to Halls Gap. A great walk to the Harvest or Livefast for breakfast. I love that walk in the morning or late afternoon when the animals are grazing and the colours from the sun are amazing. And maybe there will be an echidna along the creek at night.
  • Highly recommend this place!

Of course, this is no fault of the owners, but they were super accommodating to allow us access to their own facilities for shower etc when the electric hot water in the Airbnb was out. Thank you so much Tony and Alli, next time we’re in Ararat we’ll definitely be back!

'Absolutely exceptional, stylish, superbly located, quiet. Best Airbnb I’ve ever had the pleasure to visit' (guest review). Secluded, tranquil, fully self-contained, modern & comfortable, Escape is an award winning, creative, studio-style couples retreat nestled in native bush. Spa, cosy wood-fire, tree-surrounded deck, fully appointed kitchen, with a backdrop of the spectacular Grampians. 'The best of the best' (guest review). Please contact us regarding any stays of 7+ days.
Yes, we are secluded we have a double block nestled amid the trees giving it a very private feel. Please read our guest reviews - better to hear what they say than have us talk too much ourselves. But suffice to say, our reviews are a delight to us and out of respect for guests, we keep our prices competitive. About the house: it is modern and quite luxurious, with many more personal creative touches. There is cast iron wood fireplace, a well stocked woodshed, a deluxe luxury spa bath for two, a split system aircon / heater, a raised balcony amid the trees which is one of my personal favourite elements of the house, views of the trees out of every window, a coffee / expresso / latte / cappuccino machine so you can have a decent coffee 'at home' without having to go out and buy one, a fully appointed kitchen with 4 burner electric stove, microwave, kettle BBQ, toastie maker, toaster, kettle, fridge and freezer and a full array of pots, pans, crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils, and a complimentary decent 'thanks for staying with us' bottle of wine on arrival. Native wild and bird life abounds - kangaroos, an occasional emu or wallaby, cockatoos, kookaburras, rosellas, all frequent the property and I have planted a number of trees amid the native gums (banksias, grevillias, blossoming gums) which, when they grow, will attract a host of the smaller native birds. The property is secluded and the house is set in the middle of one of the few remaining double bush blocks in the area. Escape enjoys its own driveway and parking area and very much does feel like an 'Escape'. Please contact us regarding any of the following * discounts for stays of 7 days or more. * one night stays. * staying with infants * staying with pets.
A Heavenly Escape enjoys the peace and privacy - as well as the wildlife - of a native bush-land block. Yet the house is only a 1.5km wander to the centre of beautiful and vibrant Halls Gap and its cafes and restaurants.
  • Tim's retreat is one not to be missed! Situated up in the hills, it is in walking distance from all the main shops. Very clean, easy to check in and optimal positioning within the grampians, i would suggest this place for any couple exploring and hiking around the grampians! Will be back!!

    Brittany2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • Tim’s place was great. I especially liked the beautiful artwork on the walls and real (not plastic!) plants throughout. The space was larger than I expected. Communication with the host was excellent. I was surprised at how much wildlife we saw at the Grampians, even just around the town at Halls Gap. It is really a beautiful part of Australia. Thanks Tim!

  • We spent a wonderful long weekend in 'a heavenly escape'. This house is truly a hidden gem. It feels like living in the forest with awesome views out of large panorama windows and a beautiful wooden deck to share with wildlife. Everything was perfectly arranged with a very personal touch from the host. We didn't miss a thing. The house is situated close to Halls Gap and the many attractions of the Grampians. The Cottage is set on a 20 acre property in the heart of the Grampians Wine Region. It's a fully self-contained unit with everything you'll need for your stay. We're only 1.5 kilometers from the centre of town which has a beautiful little cafe, General store and the local pub. Our local wineries include Bests, Seppelts, Grampians Estate and 3 boutique wineries. The wineries are within a short distance from each other. The cottage is perfect for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.

We loved listening to the birds and seeing the Kangaroos hop by. Wendy made us feel so welcome. But the star of our stay was Rooney (dog), who greeted us every time we got back and made us feel so welcome.

** Please note - the caravan has a shower, but toilet is seperate (like at a caravan park, the toilet is in its own bulding and shared with others). The caravan is located at the back of Neds Other Beds, a small hostel. It’s only 500m from Halls Gap Main Street, 1.5km from the local pub (a very good walking track makes the pub easily accessible), and 200m from the Grampians NP turn off. The van is semi self contained, with a queen bed, recliner sofa, tv, private shower (no toilet).
The caravan is semi self-contained, with a queen size bed and recliner two-seat sofa, in front of a flat screen tv. The tv plays DVD’s and has chrome cast, it does not have very good channel reception. The small kitchen is well equipped with: -free Wi-Fi -bar fridge, -microwave, -toaster, -kettle, -microwave veggie steamer -microwave rice cooker -gas stove, -pots, pans, cutlery, plates, mugs, wine glasses - everything you might need! And best of all there is a small dishwasher to stack your dishes into. The caravan has a private shower within, but no toilet. Guests will have access to a shared bathroom which is about a 15m walk away. The property has a camp fire area and a bbq which are also a shared space with the hostel guests.
The Caravan is located a short drive from the Grampians National Park, and right next door there is a large oval where kangaroos come every day.
  • Linda's caravan is great for a road trip experience in grampians. It was clean and very well equipped with cooking utensils. The ac and heater works well too. It was convenient to have a shower in the caravan.

    Stella2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • It was overall an exciting experience. Linda was very helpful when we had trouble with the door lock and other enquiries. Her dog was especially also very huge and friendly too.

  • Great short term accommodation! Everything is neat and comfortable. Everything is quite new in appearance. It was very comfortable to spend time there. The toilet is outside, the shower is inside. We liked waking up in the van, everyone should try this. There was a table on the street where we had a wonderful breakfast. There is a dishwasher and washing machine.

    Dmitry2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Great place for a stay. Surprisingly well equipped and an amazing gracious and helpful host, Linda, who gave us the best hiking tips.

    Lucian2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay in Linda’s Caravan. It was beautiful and had everything we needed. Even a movie theatre area! The shower was great and there was air conditioning and heating plus stove top. The surrounding area was great we were able to sit outside on the chairs and enjoy some wine with mountain views :)

  • You can expect a wonderful oasis after a day on the trails. You are close to all the amenities of town and getting around to all sites of interest is a plus. The “wildlife neighbors” are many varied and amusing to observe. Having a wine and being serenaded by the cacophonous rapture of all the birds is an absolute pleasure.

  • The house is beautiful and very tastefully decorated. It is very well located for the walks and hikes in the Grampians. Thank you Fiona and Pete

  • Staying at Fiona and Pete’s holiday home was an all around spectacular experience. Fiona is extremely easy to communicate with. The house is pristine and has absolutely everything you could possibly need, I couldn’t have asked for more! I especially loved spending hours listening to the CD collection provided (great taste in music and a good mixture of musical snacks for all), the attention to detail when it comes to interior design and decor is extremely impressive. I could go on and on and on but believe me, you just have to stay here to experience everything for yourself! This home will not disappoint and Fiona is a stellar host!

    Sophie2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic place to stay in Halls Gap. The property was perfect for our needs, spotlessly clean and ideally situated close to town and all amenities. Fiona was very helpful and checkin was seamless. Would highly recommend and stay again without question.

    Nick2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • First time to the Grampians and spent 2 nights at Pete and Fiona's lovely home. It was beautifully decorated and has everything you need (and more) for a comfortable stay. We also found many thoughtful touches such as the box of Favourites and bottle of bubbly gifted from our host. Fiona was very friendly and provided us with clear instructions on directions and gave great recommendations on local eateries and attractions. We tried the Indian restaurant (10-15 mins down the road) and really enjoyed it. The location of the home is close to all the amazing hikes and lookouts - we could even see it from the Pinnacle lookout! We will definitely stay at the Grampians Hillside Retreat when we visit next and would 10/10 recommend it to anyone planning to visit the area.

  • Really prompt responses. Really thoughtful little additions like breakfast bits being available and some other staples in the pantry just in case. The comfiest master bed. Beautiful decking and spa. Cherry on top was the pet-friendliness but being a leash for all outdoor play as the yard is not completely fenced. The boardgames we're also a hit!

The characterful railway carriage has been completely refurbished for the intention of a bed and breakfast and has a likeness to a 'tiny house'. Located on a vineyard in the Great Western region it is a peaceful and beautiful place to get away and explore the area, or simply rest. One night is never enough to explore the area, so try to book for at least two nights. If you are lucky enough to book during vintage (between February - May) you might get to see some harvest in action.
Walk through the original narrow door to enter the main living area. At one end is a king size bed, the other has the living area and kitchenette. Step down to a spacious rustic in appearance styled bathroom. Sit, relax and watch the birdlife over the vineyard and dam on the front deck. The deck has a hooded BBQ with a side burner for cooking meals. There is a lawn area below the deck that leads to the dam with a wooden picnic table and a fire drum to have a campfire during colder months. The railway Bed and Breakfast is located on the family vineyard where the family home is also located. Your accommodation is fully self contained with a private entrance and separate parking. A continental breakfast is provided and will be on the bench when you arrive. Where possible we use homemade jams and preserves. There is a herb garden next to the carriage guests can use for cooking. The accommodation has a reverse cycle air conditioner to keep you warm and cool. It is also well insulated so, comfortable all year round. If you are arriving late the sensor light will turn on automatically. Please refer to the ‘check in’ instructions on how to get to you accommodation and where to park.
The Westgate Bushland reserve next to our property has a old mines dating back to the 1800's when gold was discovered and the Chinese miners settled in the area. There are tracks throughout the reserve for you to explore. Venture up the hill to take in the 360-degree panorama of the Grampians, Ararat, wind farms and Mt Langi Ghiran. We are 8 minutes drive from Great Western where we recommend you visit the local wineries and do one of the underground cellar tours with our friends at Best's or Seppelts wines as well as visiting Grampians Estate Winery. While in Great Western, Salinger's Café, Steel Cutters Tasting room and the Great Western Hotel will further tempt you with great coffee, food, cold beer and local wines. The local shop sells take-away food. The nearest supermarkets are located 10 minutes away in Ararat. We are only 40 minutes drive from Halls Gap and the wonders of the Grampians National Park.
  • Had a lovely last minute stay. Katrina was very accommodating given the short notice we gave her. The room was well stocked with provisions for breakfast and bottles of wine. Bed was comfy and the place was spotless. Great place to stay to explore the area. Has everything you’d need and more. Shame we were just passing through. Definitely recommend to family and friends.

  • What a great find! Outstanding hospitality, great and quick communication. Katrina and Andrew perfect hosts. Katrina has thought of everything you might need! The carriage was fantastic really cute and homely. We loved it. Beautiful views very peaceful. Fantastic value would recommend to everyone looking for a quiet weekend away. • Katrinas train bnb room is an total success, it’s personal, has lovely design and beautiful details, it has everything we needed. The Kingsize bed is so nice and comfortable. And to be in a wine yard is so inspiring. Katrina and Andrew was a lovely couple and it was a pleasure to get to know them. We will absolutely give them our absolute best recommendation. Olle and Marja

    Olle2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Hosts Katrina & Andrew make you feel welcome as soon as you set foot on the property, the carriage itself is gorgeous with views over the dam and the surrounding vineyard. Everything has been thought of at this B&B, continental breakfast is provided (with the most amazing apriocot & plum jam for your toast). The king size bed is so comfortable you won't want to get up! The bathroom is spacious and just a little bit quirky, nothing quirky about the shower though, one of the best I've ever had. I can't recommend this place enough and will do to anyone who is travelling that way. You must also try the tasty wine, I had the cab sav and it was superb. Thank you Katrina, Andrew, Milo & Patrick for welcoming us to your little bit of paradise.

  • It was fairly windy and rainy during my 2-night stay so it was lovely to be able to watch the kangaroos, emus, cockatoos, kookaburras, etc, from the comfort of the house through the beautiful windows whilst sipping my coffee. Easy check-in which was very convenient as I ended up with a late arrival due to a flight delay. Thanks for a great stay, Janet!

  • Had a great weekend at janets place. My 2 year old son loved all the kangaroos and cockatoos visiting & was a nice walk up to the shops. The house had everything we needed & was very clean. Perfect for a little family getaway.

  • Perfect location to visit the park. Wildlife up close in the garden! We had an amazing bbq while watching the kangaroos. Very clean.

  • Janet's place was great for my family for our two night stay in Halls Gap. It's a 10 minute walk to town and the local wildlife is at your doorstep. The place was clean with good amenities. We really enjoyed our stay.

  • A great place to relax with family very close to Kangaroos and restaurants. Everything was very clean and all the facilities were great.

  • Amazing location, and perfect house for a family trip! Perfect holidays in the Grampians!

    Sandra2019-12-24T00:00:00Z
  • What an absolute pleasure to stay at Janet’s place! The location was perfect with amazing views. The house was spotless and extremely well-equipped - it had everything we needed and more. The air conditioning worked a treat on the 45 degree day we were there. We loved our kangaroo and emu visitors in the backyard too. My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer! Thank you Janet for a wonderful stay.

  • Leanne was great to deal with. Had nobody staying the night before so was flexible with check in. Place was immaculate and in a great location. Would recommend a stay.

  • Awesome stay in a great location. Wildlife everywhere and only 10 minutes from Halls Gap. Would stay here again for sure.

    William2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Leanne’s place was absolutely wonderful with stunning views of the Grampians. I would absolutely stay again!!

    Ian2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Leanne was a wonderful host, with small touches such as putting the aircon on for us prior to our arrival as it was a hot day and leaving food and instructions so we could feed the cutest alpacas right next door! Leanne left notes on how we could explore the area around the property, and it had beautiful views and a lovely feel and we wish we had longer there to visit the Grampians. We would recommend staying here for a few days, as it’s around 30 minutes to the Grampians national park and as there are so many walks to do it would be good to have this place as your base and to not try and do too much in one day. This place is somewhere where you can just enjoy the views with friends after a long day exploring. Leannes house is next door, but there is plenty of space between us and the house feels so quiet and calm as it’s in a remote area, so a great place to unwind. As advised the house is remote, so best to bring food for meals as the shops will be a drive away. Will definitely stay again!

    Francesca2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • I highly recommend To stay at views@pomonal. The best place to enjoy an amazing view from a super comfy and clean house.

    Jennifer2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Views@Pomonal is a great place for families or a couple. The accommodation is very clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The views are amazing!! The deck around the house is fantastic, loads of room for kids to run and play and feeding the alpacas was a bonus! Just a short trip into Pomonal and Halls Gap. Really peaceful, we would highly recommend this place to stay.

  • This place was perfect for our large group! With each bedroom holding 2 single beds, and one room with 2 queen's it was perfect for privacy. With each bedroom leading into a beautiful common courtyard it created such great school camp vibes. Bathrooms are lovely and common area is more than what you need :) loved it!

Beautifully designed accommodation especially for couples. The Blue Wren Lodge has been a favourite for couples for years and we are the proud new owners. The Lodge has also it's very own BBQ hut. The Lodge is fully self contained with access to many condiments.
The Blue Wren Lodge is situated only 300 meters from the centre of Halls Gap. The Lodge is set back from the road for complete privacy and relaxation. Wildlife is on your door step. The Kingfisher Lodge is situated on the same property but far away enough for complete privacy!!
  • This is a lovely cottage built to a high standard and with all fittings excellent; all we could ask for.

  • This beautiful, cosy farm stay is incredible value. Clean and stylish, and on a stunning property with views of the mountains. The hosts directions were simple to follow and Wills brother was really friendly when we arrived. We stayed in one room, but I’d definitely come back and rent the whole place out with a big group. Couldn’t recommend highly enough!
