Mediterranean Restaurant

“The typical fancy bar with paid entrance and queueing. You'd need to be well dressed to enter. The bar was a library converted into a bar, which makes the interior quite unique. Beware that as it might get very packed, on some nights there isn't a lot of space inside.”

“A cozy restaurant with authentic portuguese food. It serves pretty solid renditions of the portuguese classics such as octopus, cozido and pataniscas, along some rarities such as the costelas rice. You only know what this means being a local or a national. :) ”

“If you like pancakes, you just can’t miss O Diplomata! This cafe has been known for decades and in recent years it has made pancakes trendy in Porto. The queue outside sometimes is long, but well worth it.”

Tapas Restaurant

“Nice small restaurant with delicious typical portuguese "petiscos" (portuguese name for tapas)! You can just ask for a couple of the petiscos to share, or chose one of the main courses. The food is delicious and is right in the bars area, so you are conveniently close to go out afterwards! Better to book beforehand (222081797)”

“Small Brazilian café where you can find a lot of the countrie's delicacies including a sort of meat pastry that you have to try. Also try the Açaí juice (a bit expensive due to the rarity of the fruit , €4/€5 but worth it). You also won't find lots of tourists on this one!”

Peruvian Restaurant

“The world's cuisine is growing its presence in town with special emphasis recently on the Latin American cuisine. That's is the case of Panca – Cevicheria & Pisco Bar, a project of the Chilean chef Camilo Jaña. Peruvian ceviches is the star of the menu full of South American flavors, with some Japanese influences, where we can find empanadas, anticuchos, sweet potatoes, chulpi corn cobs, chorizo steak as well as tapioca and the infamous dulce de leche, among others. Not forgetting the pisco sour, typical Peruvian cocktail with lime, lemon, egg white and three varieties of drinks to choose from, as Panca is also a nice bar to try on.”
