Wonderful gem tucked away on the river!

The cabin was better than expected. It was very clean and had the basic amenities available. There were recommendations posted of things to do and places to eat in the area. It was very helpful for the time in our trip we didn't have planned out. Any questions I had were responded to quickly. The trail on the property is definitely not for anyone with unsure footing but is great if you can do it. The whole area is beautiful. I highly recommend any property this host has.

We had a delightful stay, the cabin was clean and comfortable. There was a stack of movies the kids enjoyed when the bugs chased us in for the night. The cabin was perfect for the four of us, my kids are age 10 and 12. During the day we explored the tettagouche state park, a short drive from the cabin. D was great about getting back to us with any questions we had and the notes in the cabin were very clear. Hope to return.

We were looking for a quiet, private cabin in the woods with a water feature, to spend a couple of days during a road trip. The cabin was a nice place to stay and was for the most part as represented. The pictures are accurate. There is a view of the river in the distance from the front porch and front windows, but you do not look down on the river. There is a rough trail down to the riverbank with some chairs at the bottom. While we were there, they were having unusual heat and the small window unit could not keep the cabin comfortable, so we explored the surrounding area, which is beautiful. When it cooled down at night, it was very pleasant with the windows open. There is a double bed, a futon and a top bunk over the futon, however, there is no bedding for the latter 2. Because the double bed was a little tight, one of us slept on the futon, but had to use the spread from the double bed for cover. If you are might need the other beds, I would request bedding. The top bunk will be too tight for an adult or large child...there are only 12-16 inches between the sleeper and the ceiling. There is a TV, but no signal, so there is only a DVR and a few movies. The store in SIlver Bay had DVDs for rent and our host offered to pay for the rental, but by the time we figured it out, we didn't want to go back out. Our host was very responsive to our messages and did provide a hair dryer prior to our arrival, which I really appreciated. There are 2 other rentals on the property, but our neighbors in the other cabin were quiet and they are really not in your line of sight when you are inside. There is a nice grill and deck as well as a fire pit. Based on the prices of the hotels in the area, this is a good value.

Our Finland trip was everything we hoped it to be! The cabin was perfect, secluded, and properly represented in the listing. The fresh snow added to the beautiful scenery as well. We spent most of our time on the snowmobile trails, which were easily accessible from the cabin. Overall we were very happy with our experience!

Little cabin in the woods, very remote and secluded location. Perfect for nature lovers. The only bad part was some garbage left around the house, an old toilet ( there is already an old dry toilet from before also ), old pots of paints, plastic bags scattered, not very "natural". The inside is as stated, nice and big windows. There are useful books about the area . The dishes are old, the pans very old so if you are a clean freak bring your own. The only uncomfortable part inside was the bed which is extremely dirty and old. Also bring your own pillows ( on top of the sheets, blankets and towels as stated in the instructions ). Monika is very quick to answer emails and when we needed glasses, she sent her friend to bring some to us.

Monika was quick to reply to our inquiry and to answer our questions. The cabin was exactly as described. The quiet woods with the babbling Baptism River was the perfect retreat to the Northwoods.

This was a lovely cabin in a beautiful setting available for a good value. Everything was comfortable and convenient. Monika was easy to communicate with by email, and flexible about our arrival time. The co-op in town was quite convenient. I would suggest eating in Beaver Bay or cooking dinner in the cabin, as we couldn't find anything terribly good as far as restaurants in town.

Great cabin getaway in the North woods! Very relaxing.

Loved this little place! My husband and I booked this cabin to get away from Red Bull's Crashed Ice event that takes places next to our home in St. Paul.:-{ The cabin is perfect and my dog Loki loved exploring around the yard. It's cozy and has personality. The furniture was comfy and the cabin was tidy. The surrounding area was beautiful. We didn't do much cooking, but I do suggest bringing everything you need for meals (salt, sugar for coffee, foil, baggies, etc). Highway 61 is an easy drive to and from the cabin, and there are plenty of available stores and restaurants for whatever you need. We enjoyed the sauna - I recommend 2 bags of wood to get the sauna going, and keep it going - available at the co-op for $5 a bag. There were lots of snowmobiles about; we could hear them, but they weren't close to the cabin. We hope to go back again. Thanks!

My boyfriend and I had an amazing trip this last weekend. Everything was better than I expected. The full kitchen was great, we cooked every meal. It was a great location, secluded in the woods but close enough to town and great parks. We hiked at Tettegouche State Park and it was beautiful. I would love to come back, thank you Monika!

Randy is a great host! He sent detailed directions so that we wouldnt get lost if our GPS got confused, was quick to respond to any questions and was really awesome about letting us use the pontoon. The cabin is adorable, super clean and comfy, and OMG the bed! I'm going back just to sleep in that little slice of heaven again. The location is great, Kane lake is a gem...not busy at all, perfect for some serious relaxing.Thank you Randy!

This is a beautiful, relaxing cabin! Very quiet location, perfect to just stay and relax or go see the nearby Lake Superior attractions. Very clean place with everything I could have wanted. Randy is an excellent host, very welcoming and has prepared a great place!

We stayed at Randy's the first weekend in September. The weather was perfect. The pictures don't do justice for how beautiful the area really is. We loved being so close to the tourist attractions yet far enough away to enjoy the quietness of the Lake. We liked being able to grill out, sit on the deck and watch the sunset. We were extremely impressed with this property. The updates are really key. We hope to get back next year!

This cabin was everything pictured and more! We absolutely loved how quite and peaceful it was. Was fairly close to two harbors so it made a great base for the activities for the week. Randy was very prompt in answering all of our questions, and was very accessible our entire vacation. The cabin itself was great, modern with rustic touches. Can't wait to plan another vacation to the north shore for next summer!.

We found this cabin charming, cozy, immaculately maintained, with a lovely view of a quiet lake. Also not far from the North Shore for hiking and taking in the views of Lake Superior. Randy was a wonderful host, and has definitely put in a lot of attention to detail. We were looking for a quiet getaway, and this totally fit the bill. We would gladly return!

Randy was very courteous, accommodating and professional. The cabin was very clean, pleasant and even better than advertised. The lake is very nice and Randy permits the use of his canoe should you choose. The cabin is stocked with cookware essentials and even thoughtful "just-in-case" items like extra toothbrush/toothpaste in the event you should forget. Randy shows that he is attentive to detail and wants to put on an excellent hosting experience. The location is also readily accessible to points along the North Shore while providing a peaceful, secluded feel. In our trip we both enjoyed his lake while also being more adventurous in traveling to cities along the North Shore like Lutsen and Grand Marais and taking extensive day hikes through the Split Rock National Park (several national parks readily available). Regardless of your vacation designs, this is an excellent place to either spend your entire time, or serve as a "home base" for North Shore excursions, or a combination of the two. We would love to come back here.

Randy's place was wonderful. The cabin was so secluded and quiet, it made our stay very relaxing. The interior is roomy and well stocked with all the necessities. We used the paddle boat once for a spin around the lake which was really fun. Randy is a excellent host, he was easy to communicate with and very accommodating. Highly recommend staying at Kane Lake!

My wife and I stayed at the cabin in the middle of October. Our experience was amazing. The cabin and the property was as-described by Michael, but better. Inside, perfectly cozy, rustic, but with many unexpected amenities, such as refrigerator, oven/stove, etc... I can even say the outhouse was quite cozy and I kind of miss it. Outside, the property was gorgeous. Heavily wooded and secluded. Great times were had hanging out at the fire pit, the stream, and even the front porch. The area attractions are perfect for nature lovers such as ourselves. And like other reviewers have eluded to, it truly was difficult leave the property to go off and see them! As far as a host goes, we can't say enough about Michael, he was so nice. We had a long drive up from Chicago. He was waiting for us when we got there. He gave us all the ins and outs of the Cabin. He was especially helpful in recommending areas to see and things to do. We were interested in off-roading in our Jeep and he had maps, with recommend trails and areas to see! he told us of some beautiful areas to check out that we never would've found on our own. Assuming you're up here to enjoy nature, you will not be disappointed. I think the Manitou River area was my favorite, but there are many beautiful spots to enjoy Lake Superior as well. If we had but one regret, it's that we didn't take his canoe out on any of the numerous, remote lakes. We wrote it off, as we thought it was too cold. Ended up having a gorgeous day for it. Guess we'll just have to go back. Certainly, nothing less than a 5 star review for both cabin and host.

It is Airbnb at its best. Michael welcomes you as a guest at his cabin and makes you feel at home. He has created a place that is very comfortable without being disconnected from its beautiful setting in the woods. It is the perfect place for those who go to the country to be a part of it.

We arrived in a fresh snowfall and the gently-lit cabin with its warm fire and heated floors was like something out of a fairy tale. We celebrated Thanksgiving here and Michael was helpful during booking to set our expectations - we precooked most of the meal & had an intimate, casual celebration with our small family of four. Fantastic hikes nearby and we saw parts of Finland we never knew existed after years of coming up north, thanks to Michael's detailed map of the area. We all decided we need to come back in the summer when we can enjoy some open windows to hear the Baptism River - and spend more time on the outdoor "patio". Thanks for a fantastic getaway, Michael. We left relaxed and refreshed.

This is our second stay at Michael's cabin, and this time we knew to set aside more time to spend AT the cabin. Sitting by the bonfire and listening to the Baptism River flow by is just about as relaxing as it gets. We love the thoughtful craftsmanship and attention to detail here. The cabin is private, cozy, clean, and within close driving distance of some amazing day hikes. It was definitely hard to leave!

Our stay was so amazing we decided to spend an extra night. The semi-rustic cabin has all the amenities you need. It was great to get away from the modern world a bit and just relax. Michael was a gracious host and very welcoming. We spent half a day up at Lutsen enjoying the trails, alpine slides and gondola ride. The other 2 days we spent reading by the fire, playing board games and watching the dog explore the woods. We'll definitely be back!

Michael met us at the cabin with a fire going and music playing. He told us about local hiking trails and a little about the history of the cabin. The cabin is lovely, comfortable, truly unique. It's a place where you immediately feel at home. It sits in the woods, right next to Baptism River - a serene and peaceful natural surrounding. We had a wonderful time at Michael's cabin. It was exactly what we were looking for to get away from the stress of our daily lives and relax for a few days. Beautiful location, secluded yet just a very short drive from all the sights of the North Shore. We enjoyed watching the wildlife, and even got to see a wolf! Michael was an excellent host, understanding when we needed to reschedule, and very knowledgeable about the surrounding area. He has obviously put a lot of work into the cabin, and has taken care to provide a complete North Shore/Woods experience!

My fiancé and I stayed here with his parents when they were visiting MN from Italy. We wanted to show them the authentic cabin life style and this cabin delivered! Michael was a great host. The cabin itself is clean, loved and the kitchen is stocked with anything an Italian mother would need to cook a proper meal! Michael kept us more than informed on the area and the various attractions. We especially enjoyed hiking through the national park and visiting the bears at the reserve in Ely. Janet and Bob were very understanding of our late arrival, and stayed up to welcome us. They were very pleasant and available to provide anything should we have wanted. However, we needed little as the apartment was very clean, appeared quite new, and offered all the amenities we needed! My wife and I were looking for a place to relax, cook, and hike. It was great for all three. The Superior Hiking Trail is a short walk up route 4, maybe 15-20 minutes on foot from the apartment. We hiked all we wanted on beautiful trail and never started our car between arriving and leaving. Highly recommended for a lakeview hiking getaway!

What a wonderful find on the North Shore. The apartment is extremely clean and furnished with all the comforts of home. Janet met us when we arrived and explained everything we needed to know. Our main goal for the stay was to hike on the Superior Hiking Trail (SHT). The Beaver Bay trail head is located about 3/4 mile up the ATV trail running right alongside the house. After that short walk, you can head in either direction on the SHT: toward Silver Bay or toward Gooseberry Falls. This portion of the trail is rated difficult and you will be tired. We hiked 10 miles each day. But coming back to the super comfortable bed made you forget all about how tired you were. The apartment is extremely quiet so you will sleep soundly. In the morning, the light floods in from 4 sides and all is bright and cheery. There is a great view of Lake Superior too. I must also mention that even though the kitchen is complete and you can cook anything here that you could cook at home, a short three minute walk down the hill is an absolutely fabulous cafe, The Lemon Wolf, which has a wide variety of selections in a casual setting at moderate prices. The Lemon Wolf Pie (their specialty) is not to be missed. In summary, if you are looking for a comfortable, affordable place to stay while doing day hikes on the SHT, this is the place to stay!

This is a great value. Bob welcomed us when we got in and made sure we had everything we needed. The Lake view, morning light, and collection of books made this place special. We spent our mornings reading about the history of the North Shore and our afternoons skiing nearby. We recommend this private, clean, and quiet retreat!

Great place and great hosts. Very accommodating and all the amentites you need. Great views of Lake Superior. We snowmobiled and hiked and it was right next to the trail so it made access very easy. We look forward to spending time up there again in the future.

Mona's place was beautiful, just as described, everything was spotlessly clean and wonderful. We went as a group of 5 plus a pet, and Mona was very accommodating. The Gooseberry falls is close by and so is Rustic Inn Cafe. Less than 5 minutes drive. We would definitely stay with Mona again if we visit the area. Thanks.

Mona communicated positively and effectively from the moment we booked our stay. We could not imagine a more perfect stay (or weather!) for our wedding anniversary. We will definitely be back with a larger crew of family/friends to really utilize the spacious amenities.

Wonderful location! Very nice space that blends the feel of the north woods, the North Shore, and modern luxury. We really enjoyed it, and hope to get back again. My parents, both in their mid-80's, had never stayed in an AirBnB before, and they were so impressed with the place. Mona has many thoughtful things that would be great to take advantage of for a longer stay. We were only there one night, but next time we'd like to stay longer.

This cabin is the perfect blend of rustic and convenient. Rough-hewn timbers, traditional knotty pine walls and contemporary color scheme are perfectly blended in this comfy location tucked back in the woods. Uta's helpful cabin guide prepared us well for everything we needed to know, including recommend hikes, local amenities, etc. The place was spotless and she contacted us and made sure we had everything we needed. The spacious kitchen area held all of our food easily and with the supplied kitchenware we cooked proper meals here. The ample counter space allowed us to prepare them without getting in each other's way (something we can't do at home!). We stayed in the winter and the scenery is beautiful this time of year with snow capping the pine tree branches. It snowed during our stay and Uta had already made sure that the driveway was plowed. The cabin is laid out in a traditional manner with two lofted bedrooms and an open floor plan downstairs. The bedrooms are enclosed which is nice. (If you have ever heard someone snoring from an open loft bedroom you know what I mean!) The last set of stairs to the bedrooms are a little steep. No problem for most folks, but if you have mobility issues, you may want to opt for the futon downstairs. I highly recommend this gem of a location!

This cabin is beautiful. The photos do not do it justice. Located in a private setting, yet very accessible! The cabin is very large and the kitchen has all of the utensils you need. Highly recommended.

The host kept immediate contact and it helped a lot. We really liked the neighborhood of the cabin, more of a natural environment in this case. The cabin is clean, very warm and has a lot of sunlight. The house had almost everything you would need. There is even a VCR player. We also loved using the Wi-Fi. The only thing that could be improved further, in my opinion, is that there should be a list of things provided, especially kitchen items. So, we don't need to speculate or ask a host too many questions. Overall, we really loved our time renting this cabin and plan to visit again. Also, we highly recommend it to other visitors.

We had a really wonderful time at this secluded cabin. The cabin itself had everything we needed, was cozy, and offered the perfect location for getting out and snowshoeing at Tettegouche State Park. We were able to play with our dogs outside at the cabin without fear of cars in the area, and inside without fear of breaking anything. We would definitely come back

This was a perfect winter getaway! The cabin is secluded and quiet but close enough to town to make it accessible. The cabin itself is comfy, clean and relaxing and was just what we needed for a girl's weekend. We especially loved the sitting room with the big window overlooking the river, the separate bedrooms, and the fact that it was dog friendly. Even the futon was comfortable to sleep on! I would highly recommend it!

Uta was extremely helpful both leading up to and during our stay at their cabin. The property is absolutely gorgeous and secluded. It was so rejuvenating to sleep to the sounds of a river flowing in the backyard. Uta provided ample information and recommendations for activities in the area. We are already looking at dates for our next trip to the cabin!

Our time at Uta's cabin was a lovely respite from the city and hot weather. The cabin had every thing we needed and more for enjoying ourselves and relaxing as well as cooking and making popcorn in the microwave :) The river view from the back side of the cabin is gorgeous while the sound of it at night was a pleasant surprise when we opened the window for a cool breeze.

The cabin was amazing, more updated that I expected it to be. Everything was clean and looked well taken care of. Steve and Kathy were amazing hosts and willing the help with anything. We brought our canoe and were able to get out almost every day we were there. Our dog loved swimming on the beach. The best part is the little screened in house down by the lake, it is so nice and relaxing to be able to sit down and read there. The lake was clear and perfect for swimming. They also have many extra blankets in case you leave the windows open at night like we did and it gets down to 48. Would definitely recommend and stay again next year.

What a great find! This cabin was perfect! Comfortable and spacious for a wonderful weekend up north. Property had everything on site that we needed (canoes, life jackets, grill, fire pit, towels and cooking utensils, etc). Liz and the family were great hosts and made us feel so welcome. Zach was clear who would be on site when we arrived. Steve and Kathy made sure we could reach them during the day. Got canoe ready. Have us restaurant guide. Set fire. Thoroughly enjoyed our time. Our dog loved running around the retreat and Steve's shini,gto throw her ball. Loved sitting around campfire with hosts, sipping wine, watching stars, and conversing. VERY comfortable. Easy location to explore Ely area. Ready to come back. Only snafuu was clarity about our departure and this did not create a problem.

The host made us feel welcomed. The caretaker who was actually at the property even bought a new grill for us. The description of the property was accurate. The best part about the property was the grounds and location. It is right on Farm lake with a nice dock, yard, and screened in porch house. We were there to do kayak day trips and it was perfect for that. The cottage itself is not fancy but it served our purposes. It would be ideal for a two person fishing party. Our only complaint was that the wi-fi connection was intermittent but we were able to connect to a local resort's wi-fi so that solved that issue.

Zach's place was great. We were only there one night before we headed out to canoe but we really appreciated the place to stay and would go back again for sure.

Our host made us feel very welcome. We arrived a bit early and were ushered right into our extremely clean cabin. The bedrooms lacked doors and curtains for privacy.There was a very small bathroom that does have a door.There was a shower with plenty of hot water. The grounds were kept very nice, and we found the kitchen lacking nothing. There was a large refrigerator with a good sized freezer, and a working gas stove. The bed was very comfortable, with fine sheets and blankets. We found extra blankets accessible. There was soap, toilet paper and clean towels. This was a very nice resort with six cabins total and the host's house. All were sharing the beach and fire pit. The beach is quite lovely, and the water was clear to swim.

We stayed in early May and it was great! The cabin is located on a large property, with a beautiful river right outside the window. Another cabin is located close on the same property. Since we went early in the season the cabin neighbors were not home. The cabin itself was wonderful. It had a rustic feel yet it was updated with everything you would need. There was more sleeping space than expected: one king and a bunk bed in one room and a queen and single bed in the other with a sleeper sofa in the living room. It was plenty of space for us. There are no doors on any of the rooms (except for the bathroom obviously). We cooked breakfast and dinner in the the fully furnished kitchen. The cabin was clean and we did not mind bringing our own bedding and linens. We made s'mores by the fire out back and listened to the river go by. You can drive about 10 minutes and get to the Superior Hiking Trail. It was great, I would go again.

Quiet, Absolutely fantastic views and comfortable accommodations. More hiking/biking/ATV trails than a person could EVER explore! Our 11 and 13 year old boys had a great time, as well - even going so far as to not need electronics for hours at a time. :) We will definitely be back.

My husband, dog, and I absolutely loved our stay at Lemonade Springs! The secluded location along the river was the perfect getaway from the cities. We spent our days hiking, reading, and relaxing by the fire pit. It was the perfect North Shore vacation!

Peaceful location very convenient to Two Harbors. Comfortable and quiet. For an event filled weekend (we were up north for a wedding, and did some hiking between wedding events) I was amazing how rested and refreshed we were. Plenty of space, friendly hosts, and a beautiful part of Minnesota to explore.

I grew up in northern MN, exploring the Boundary Waters every summer....Joe's cabin was my first cabin experience in the BWCA and it was nothing short of perfect. In May, you never know what weather you are going to get way up north, but with Joe's (URL HIDDEN) could be -20 or sunny and 65 (like we (URL HIDDEN) wouldn't matter. I reserved the rustic, remote cabin for my girlfriends birthday weekend as her introduction to the BWCA. Joe's cabin has all the amenities a person could ever ask for. Equipped with memorabilia from his family and "cabin-ware" used over the years. The tool shed is a huge bonus if you like working with your hands, as is the on-site canoe if you want to do a few portages to nearby lakes and waterfalls. Our small german shepherd loved the space and had endless forest to explore. Girlfriend said it was "like a dream". You will not be disappointed with Joe's craftsmanship, seen throughout the property. We will be back!

Spent a relaxing few days at Joes cabin. Definately a nice place to stay and still be close to nature. We kayaked to the cabin with all our gear wich made having cooking supplies and refrigeration at the cabin a relief. Cabin also has a nice firepit area!

My family and I had a wonderful experience at the Serenity Lodge! Beautiful cabin in the north woods located on Ninemile lake, it was everything we wanted for our vacation. Six of us went and the cabin had plenty of room. It was secluded but also easy to get back to highway 61. It was amazing, when we go back up to northern Minnesota we will defiantly be renting this cabin again, just beautiful!

The place was perfect for our girls weekend away. It was very well appointed with all of the stuff we needed including a full kitchen with tons of cookware, a very nice blender, etc. we enjoyed the fireplace, the beds were cozy and the place perfectly designed. We were provided with a terrific online guide to the place before arrival. Beautiful scenery surrounded the property. Thank you.

Wow what a fantastic place the Serenity Lodge is!! We had a wonderful stay and couldn't have asked for more. Visiting from England we had been in Minneapolis for a long weekend then came up to the lodge and it was the perfect contrast. The setting is amazing, and being right on Nile Mile Lake was the biggest bonus. We loved taking the canoe out and just paddling around. It was so peaceful, there was nobody else around, and coming from London this was a total dream!! The lodge itself is fab, the interior really cool and has every mod-con you could need. Our evenings were spent around the fire-pit, under the stars, the perfect end to a relaxing day. Jitterbug was a great host, she gave us all the details we needed and more and was really easy to communicate with. She made the lodge feel like home from home. Overall and wonderful visit and fantastic experience. Thanks for letting us stay!! :)

We had a great time at Jitterbug's beautifully decorated cabin. Perfect place to cuddle up by the fireplace for several days since it was too cold for us to venture outside. When we did, however, it was quite beautiful. She was such a gracious and accommodating host and we can't wait to come back when it's warmer!

We had a wondeful, relaxing stay! The house was very clean and the pictures accurate. We had everything we needed and much more. The lake is peaceful and the family enjoyed the kayaking. Sitting on the deck relaxing in the morning was a perfect way to start each day. The location is great to get to so many incredible sites to see along the north shore. Directions provided to the lodge were easy to follow and perfect. Thank you for having us! We would definitely recommend and would love to stay again in the future!

Serenity lodge was an amazing place to stay. My wife and I enjoyed our anniversary weekend immensely. The only downside was a personal one as I had unplanned knee surgery 3 weeks ago and was still on crutches so we couldn't do any hiking or exploring which we had originally planned to do. The upside is, we are already planning to come back again next year and do all the stuff we couldn't do this year. Thank you Jitterbug for letting us stay at the lodge!

The cabin was wonderful and easy to stay at. It was a perfect place to stay for my family of five. The canoe and kayaks were great fun out on ninemile lake and we also enjoyed a camp fire every night. I'd highly recommend this place for a retreat or small weekend getaway.

This house was just absolutely perfect for our family vacation. The house did not disappoint at all. Jitterbug has left no stone un-turned and has everything you could ask for in this house in terms of amenities. It's the most thought out rental I've ever stayed in. It's quite, serene and the property is absolutely peaceful if you are trying to get away from it all. Our family loved this place and will definitely be back.

Great location - perfect for feeling like you're getting away but still close to outdoorsy types of things to do. The cabin was cozy and wonderful. The gas grill was perfect for grilling vegetables, sitting on the deck, and enjoying the beautiful weather.

We had an incredible time staying at Cabin Beck. It's secluded and private, but close by is a little grocery store and amazing scenic state parks and attractions. We spent much of our time exploring the Superior Hiking Trail. There's a trail head about 1.5 miles from the cabin and many others that aren't far at all. We spent a week at Cabin Beck and there will still so much left to explore! The cabin itself is simple, but has everything you need. Beautiful views from the deck and a short hike to the baptism river. The cabin is the perfect size for two people. Damon was a great host and left suggestions on where to eat and explore. We spent some time talking with him and he offered a lot of insight into the local area. All in all, I'm a little in love with Cabin Beck and north MN. Would definitely love to come back (and already making plans to do so!).

This cabin was wonderful. Sitting inside with the windows open, we could listen to the Baptism River rush past. The kitchen worked well. The cabin was the perfect size for two people. It is located convenient to many North Shore locations. D went out of his way to make sure we were happy and had everything we needed.

I had a amazing experience at Cabin Brooke. My fiancé and I came up with our photographer and another friend for engagement photos. The scene around us was very picturesque and quiet. The cabin was well stocked with kitchenware and bathroom amenities and there was even coffee in the fridge which came in handy when we had to wake up at 4:30 am the next morning for photos. We will definitely be coming back with more people!

What a quaint little cabin a short hike from the Baptism River! It was perfect for my boyfriend and I to enjoy the North Shore and still have a comfortable home base. The location is less than 5 miles from Palisade Head and Tettegouche State Park and very easy to get to. The owners gave great instructions for check-in and check-out, but otherwise were very hands off, which was great! The pictures accurately represent the basic cabin with just the right amount of amenities needed for a weekend up North. Even though you are close to the other cabin, it wasn't much of an issue with noise or crowding. If you are looking for something completely secluded, this won't quite fit that, but it is pretty darn close.

The house is perfectly located close to two harbors and yet away from the hustle and bustle of the town. There was complete privacy during the night we stayed here. There are many good restaurants close by and lot of activities to do. Micki as a host was excellent. I would definitely visit this place again.

We loved our stay here! The decor was nice and the beds were comfortable. Micki responded quickly to our messages and made us feel welcome. We will go out of our way to stay here again. It was a great value!

Excellent stay. This place was well suited for four people (two couples) and the well-stocked kitchen enabled us to cook our own breakfast. A nice highlight of the morning was the view of the lake from each of the bedrooms. We also tried some of the coffee from the downstairs coffee shop! Definitely recommend.

Micki is the kindest & most hospitable host that made ringing in my 25th trip around the sun so incredibly special!! The space is so beautiful, simple, clean, & quiet. The best is the incredible location. You can drive just a little ways to a ton of different Northern MN wonders, and you can even see the water from the windows! So blessed & thankful for this stay, you will not be disappointed!

Val and Heather were so warm and friendly. When I first arrived, they had a friend visiting. They introduced us all around, showed me around the main level of the house and to my room. They made me feel welcomed without being intrusive, said I was more than welcome to join them at any time in the living area, or to just be alone if that's what I wanted. Their home is lovely, just a short drive outside of town in the middle of farm and woodland. My room and the house were exactly what I was looking for--warm, comfortable, simple. Val is a mosaic glass artist and her artwork is scattered throughout the house. Everyone remarks on, and with great reason, the mosaic bathroom. It is stunning! And all done by Val. You have to see it. I only had one night, coming in late and leaving rather early. I wish I'd had more time. The day I left, I sat in the living room with both of them chatting, just kind of hanging out with them and their two dogs, Madison & Sophie. The dogs were quiet, even when I came into the house late at night, which surprised me. The bed was comfy, plenty of pillows, and good lighting for reading in bed. There are not a lot of electrical outlets right near the bed, but that made me put my electronics farther away & unplug even more. I didn't have any cell service (Verizon) and when I hooked up to the wi-fi, they were gone so I never did figure out how to connect to the internet. BUT I went to get away and that's exactly what I did. I will definitely stay there again! Simple, quiet, comfortable, warm. A bonus--there was a meteor shower the night I stayed. Just pulling into the drive, the sky was so black, it felt as if I could see forever. And I saw dozens of meteorites in just a few minutes. If you want to star gaze or get out of the light pollution, this is your place!

Val and Heather were wonderful hosts. Their house was a little hard to find at first, but the furry friends made up for the stress of searching for the house. I'd definitely suggest doing a dry run during daylight to make sure you know where you're going. The bed was very comfy and the house was beautiful, and Val's banana bread and cinnamon apple cake(?) were delicious. So was Heather's smoothie. I'd recommend their home to anyone, as long as they're not highly sensitive to cigarette smoke.

Valerie's home is really lovely and full of artistic touch!!! It can be a little hard to find but once I arrived I'm welcomed by the hospitable host Valerie and her cute dog Sophie. I was only staying at the Duluth area for one day so was a little bit rush between all those tourist spots, but after I got to her lovely home, I decided to hang out and stay a bit longer in the morning. We have a great chat! Valerie made coffee and banana cake for breakfast which was delicious! She also prepared a bottle of coffee for me to bring with me, that helped me a lot after the storm hit Duluth! I had a great time there and I'm definitely going back to Valerie's place next time I visit this small town!

This is a perfect place for a weekend getaway. Close to two wonderful state parks, and duluth. Val is a wonderful welcoming host, offered us coffee and snacks in the morning. The coffee cake is amazing! There are two sweet quiet dogs, and three cats that are equally sweet. Probably won't even see two of them. The room was very clean and comfortable, the bathroom was also very clean. All in all the best place to stay in two harbors!

This is really a lovely home, and Val, along with her pets, are very welcoming! Terrific bathroom/shower which is right next to the room, and our bed was very comfortable as we slept wonderfully! Val also makes an excellent cup of coffee and is very knowledgeable of the area for places to visit!!!

They are super nice people and great host. They gave me some awesome tips for my trip. We had some great conversations. The house is nice, clean and artistic. The pets are adorable. If you are looking for a peaceful vacation and a different experience from metropolis , this is a great choice.

Wow, what a beautiful log cabin! We wanted to get away from city-life, and the remoteness of this cabin helped us enjoy the solitude of the Northwoods. We would stay here again and have already recommended it to friends. Steve, the owner, who has been renting cabins for many years and built this one, was a pleasure to meet and get to know. He was very responsive and chatted with me on the phone to go over details and answered all my questions. He greeted us at the cabin and already had the fire going so it was nice and warm - it felt like home. We used the Finnish sauna every night, one of the reasons we chose to come to this cabin – it was a great way to end the day after having snow-shoed all day long. We were very impressed with all the small little details: matches near every fireplace (love those wood-burning stoves!), styrofoam on the outhouse toilet (cutest little outhouse ever!), a bird book so we could identify that pretty little red bird (we discovered it was a Pine Grosbeak). And we were most impressed with the ingenious idea of stacked tires on the wood-splitting block, which helped make cutting word for kindling easier. We had a wonderful stay and can’t wait to come back.

Loved everything about Sundew, the cabin, the sauna, the setting. Well worth a visit!!!

This place is really beautiful. Comfortable beds, great kitchen, and a really nice bathroom. The location has a perfect balance of being secluded and quiet, yet really accessible to a ton of outdoor recreation and community amenities. Pat and Joe were super helpful and would provide anything needed when asked. We would recommend this place to anyone.

Perfect! The SGL is located near Two Harbors which is ideally located for those hat want to explore the North Shore and downtown Duluth. The accommodations were excellent. The kitchenette was spacious, well equipped with everything we needed and pristinely maintained. The beds were comfortable and the shower was very nice with excellent water pressure. If you want quiet at night, this is the place for you. It is so peaceful at night. The Internet and TV worked perfectly. The owners Pat and Joe are great hosts and gave us lots of good tips about the area and where to go as it was our first time visiting. My wife, daughter and I all give two thumbs up!

The place is located on a beautiful, private plot of land on the bottom floor of a beautiful, well built log cabin. It is a gorgeous location. The room was nice, and normally I'd give it 5 stars; however, can only give it three as the heat was not turned on when we arrived and half the carpet in the bedroom was soaking wet. Normally the heat is not a big deal, just turn it on and warm in 20 min; however the place has geothermal heat, so it took about 6-8 hours for it to warm up. It was really cold. The caretaker came the next day and apologized for the rug and heat, but the host didn't take responsibility for the issues or apologize, which was more than disappointing. Fortunately nobody was in the upper level, so the host let us hang out up there until it warmed up downstairs. I don't expect perfection, esp. given that air bnb is often a side-gig for people, but the issues here and the host's responses to them left much to be desired.

Of the three places we stayed in Minnesota, Whitetail Kitchenette Suite was our favorite. Pat and Maya were very welcoming and helpful. The Suite was very spacious and comfortable. We cooked there and also enjoyed one of Pat's delicious breakfasts. I also appreciated the separate entrance to the suite. We also really enjoyed the North Shore area sights.

The perfect sanctuary from the city, yet still convenient to area attractions. Quiet, clean and comfortable. Great hosts, exceeded our expectations.

We had a nice stay, and the accommodations worked well for our business trip.
