Luxury camping. Get away. Hide away.
Why share your space when you can have privacy? Quiet. Serene. Solid. Cozy. Clean. Our 12' x 18' free standing cabin has queen-sized bed and a bathroom with shower and lots of hot water. It is nestled on a hill just below our home so you have privacy and wilderness without having to hike or go without amenities. We are located between Mt. Adams and Mt. Hood so you can take advantage of what the mountains have to offer (like a great day of skiing!) without having to worry about a long drive home. **We are pet friendly. Maximum of two pets. Thank you!** Room includes: --wi-fi --mini-fridge --linens, towels, and beach towels (we use allergy-sensitive cleaners & detergents) --bathroom with shower --Keurig coffee maker fully stocked with coffee, decaf, tea, and hot chocolate --ceiling fan --bedside clock with USB dock & outlets for easy phone charging --private deck, great place to enjoy morning coffee or nighttime star gazing --access to covered grilling area (with propane heater!) and grill with side burner --maps and info on local tourist attractions and hikes --circular driveway for easy parking --5 miles to White Salmon, 7 miles to Hood River Check in any time after 3 pm; check out at 11 am. **We are a NO smoking and a NO 420 property. Violation of either of these house rules will result in an immediate $350 cleaning fee.*** We sit on 1500' of Big Buck Creek, just a short walk down from the cabin. We are 35 miles from Mt. Hood Meadows and 25 miles Mt. Adams. Trails for hiking and exploring waterfalls are in abundance. **Please note: once you reserve with us, read the driving directions carefully. Please read the written driving directions as the visual landmarks we provide are very helpful. Our driveway is preceded by an uphill, gravel/dirt road (about 1/4 mile in length) that may be a bit bumpy. We have had guests drive here in vehicles from Smart cars to tricked out SUV's with no issues. Always feel free to message us with questions. Got pets? Let us know. Maximum of 2 pets. Please keep dogs leashed by the house, but we do have miles of trails so there are plenty of places to take your four-legged friends for a walk without leashes. Also, please keep pets off the bed. We recommend bringing some extra bedding for your pet. We do stock the cabin with dog towels. If you have your own kayak, you can launch north of us, enjoy a ride down the White Salmon, and pull out at Northwestern Park. NW Park is less than a 1/3 mile to the cabin. We can assist in transportation to or from launch site. Large driveway that circles around can easily accommodate RV's, campers, and horse trailers.
Private but not isolated. A perfect place to launch to events in the Gorge, or a perfect place just to hide away.
• Lisa had great communication and check-in instructions. Unfortunately, we had to cancel our trip last minute due to COVID-19 event cancellations and a snowstorm. We can't wait to visit soon! Thank you so much for your hospitality and understanding, Lisa!

Shelter in place in comfort with a fireplace and the hot tub. Kitchen is fully equipped to cook meals in the house. Social distancing local activities include mt. biking and hiking. The surf shack is a cozy one bedroom home that sleeps 4, and is pet friendly. Thank you!
The Surf Shack is within walking distance of downtown White Salmon. The fully fenced yard is perfect for travelers with a pet. Window AC unit is installed during summer months. Please bare with me as I continue to upgrade the exterior of the home as well as the landscaping. Back porch is done complete with hot tub. Patio furniture is available when weather allows. • Amazing host. The house was stylish and comfy. Enjoyed our stay so much! Very close to downtown White Salmon with great restaurants.

• Cute minimalist styled space! Close to downtown. Fenced yard for our dog. Perfect hot tub for two. We very much enjoyed our stay here.

Kristin2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
• Convenient place for stopping through. Walls are a bit thin to exterior noise with it being a corner house, but it is a quiet neighborhood. The yards a work in progress as he states, so our two pups weren’t able to fully utilize it even though it’s fully fenced. Host was great and had friendly communication!

• super cute place within walking distance to some great spots (bakery, brewery, etc) in White Salmon. hot tub was a welcome experience after a day of hiking around mt. adams. the place itself was clean, comfy, and a nice place to relax with the dogs. hope to visit again!

• A cozy place with a great shower and location just far enough away from town. I definitely recommend!

Jeremy2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
• Quaint and cozy cottage that’s just a quick drive to downtown Hood River. Thomas was a great host and his place was perfect for an overnight getaway.

Seamas2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
• Great spot to visit Mt Hood and Hood River! We stayed here last year and enjoyed it so much we’re back for round two!

Malee2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
• This is a small but perfectly proportioned spot from which to enjoy the beauty of the Hood River area. The bed was comfortable, the shower is nicely designed, and the ample kitchen had everything we needed to make coffee in the mornings. We were visiting family in the area so we didn't spend as much time at the house during the day as others might, but the back deck seems a great place to end a day of adventures. Highly recommended.

Sara2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
• Perfect little space for a weekend getaway with all the amenities you could ask for. Just a few minutes into Hood River.

• Great cottage for a couple or a single person. Location is perfect just a few minutes from downtown. Bed is comfortable. Kitchen fully stocked. Shower in the cottage is amazing! And the view of Mt. Adams in the backyard was breathtaking. I have family in Hood River that I visit for the holidays and hope to stay here every time I make the trip. Thanks!

• Great little spot to stay. My gf and I like the smaller AirBNB choices and this is a place we would stay at again. We loved the heated bathroom floor and the remodeled shower. Very comfy. Thomas was very accommodating when we needed to switch our reservation for a day early.

This is nearly 100 year old cabin in the woods on the White Salmon river. Cabin 20 is the heart of the Columbia River Gorge. It is rustic but has all the amenities of modern home. It is light filled and cozy. There is a loft with a queen futon and 2 twin beds. There is a full sized bed in the downstairs(it is open plan). The kitchen is large and great for cooking. There are 2 eating areas inside and 3rd outside on the deck. The views are beautiful from all points inside the cabin. It is a short walk from the rafting pullout for world class white water rafting. There are several rafting companies just up the road in Husum. Trail heads are short walk from the front door. The great thing about Cabin 20 is that it feels remote but its near to everything: White Salmon, Hood River, Mt. Hood, Mt. Adams, wineries, horseback riding, rafting, hiking, kayaking, fishing, wind surfing. biking, berry picking (summer), snow sports/play (winter). I enjoy all of it but my favorite thing to do is to sit on the deck and read and bird watch. It is a really special place....
Our cabin sits in a cluster of 5 cabins. It is quite and once you are settled in you barely notice our neighbors. Most are not occupied full time. There are hiking trails near by. We are very near the rafting pull out for white water rafting on the White Salmon river. We are about 35 min to Mt Hood Meadows ski resort. The cabin is 12 min drive to White Salmon and 15 or so to Hood River.
• Snowzie's cabin was incredible!! It was close to trails and the river. She has it decorated super cute and homey making for a very cozy weekend! She also has all the amenities one could ask for. Cooking in that awesome kitchen was easy and inviting. I would highly recommend!

Stephanie2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
• 2nd time staying at Snowzies place. I had a really lovely and comfortable visit again. The neighbors are very close and the walls are a bit thin for playing a some music. The neighbors will complain. But otherwise it was nice time.

Madeleine2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
• Snowzie’s cabin was just what was needed- A quiet cabin in the woods, next to a roaring river, nestled in fog one minute and alive with sunshine the next. I arrived worn down by work and left with my senses rejuvenated. The whole family loved it and we can’t wait to come back.

Daniel2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
• This cabin was the best little spot to cozy up for our girls weekend of wine drinking, snowboarding, and relaxing! We loved the decor, which is vintage but trendy with ease. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils and spices, as well as easy to navigate when we cooked meals before and after days exploring the town or skiing at Mt. Hood Meadows! A couple of us worked on our fire building skills and really loved the feel of a hearty wood stove. White Salmon has a lovely charm, cute restaurants and easy to access Hood River destinations too. We are already wanting to book another trip to the cabin in the spring or summer. Thank you Snowzie for allowing us to share your perfect space!

Kennedy2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
• Snowzie’s cabin is exactly as expected. It’s beyond charming in all the best ways. It’s very secluded. There are a few other cabins very close by, but somehow you don’t even notice. It was indeed very cold. I read the reviews early on and came with layers and prepared. Follow her instructions meticulously on starting the wood stove. If you do this, you will have it up and running quickly and it will keep that little cabin nice and cozy. I did not realize it was so close to (almost on it) the river which was a very pleasant surprise. You can listen to the water from the back porch. The trail along the river is lovely and just beautiful to walk. It is a little further away from White Salmon than I expected, but that didn’t bother me. Just be prepared if you are arriving after dark. It’s a bit windy and dark. We can’t wait to go back and will likely do so in the fall after doing it in the winter this time.

Roni2020-01-14T00:00:00Z
• Beautiful and calming. A great spot to explore Mt. Adams or Mt. Hood. We loved our winter stay in this adorable cabin in the woods.

Lauren2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
• We spent 5 amazing days in this nice cabin in the woods next to mountain river. The place is very well equipped: we found everything we needed during our stay. The central piece of the cabin is danish wooden stove, Morsø, that kept us warm and cozy. Great place and fantastic vacation.

Andrey2020-01-01T00:00:00Z

• We had a great stay at Anson's place. The location is a perfect jumping off point to explore the Gorge, and we enjoyed the Klickitat Rails Trail along the Klickitat River. The game room and all the kid-friendly touches at the house were a wonderful surprise! Our toddler enjoyed her stay, and we felt good knowing she was safe and welcome in the home. Cute decorations and very clean. Definitely recommend!

• If you want a magical, cozy, get away, this yurt is it! We spent Christmas here and were even treated to a brief snowfall. The vineyard yurt is quiet and very private. I recommend that you take the small walk to the vineyard. The views are worth it!

Molly2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
• This place was great! The yurt was a lot bigger than I had expected. We stayed warm with the heaters and we were really grateful for allowing our dogs

James2019-12-08T00:00:00Z

• Great place for anyone looking to stay outside the city.

Pete2019-10-03T00:00:00Z
• Jocelyn's place was such a beautiful and cozy place to retreat to The well/spring water that comes out of the tap tastes, and feels so clean. It was a wonderful surprise to arrive to, and the gas stove worked great! The yurt stays plenty toasty when it's cold out, and since it rained while we were there, the sound of the rain on the yurt was incredibly soothing, and the mists through the mountain ridges were breathtaking to observe, as was the sunrise. The bed and futon are mighty comfy, as are the soft blankets, and towels. There are great magazines to flip through, and a very thorough book about the waterfalls and hikes in the area, is available as well. All around the space has a lovely layout and feel, is clean, with a very kind host, and it was just what we needed.

Chelsea2019-09-29T00:00:00Z

Nestled among tall trees situated in the crook of Big Buck Creek and the wild & scenic White Salmon River; Spirit Lodge is just what you’ve been longing for. A soothing environment, inside and out. You’ll see a waterfall across the way, and have access to a wooden bench swing over the river. If you are planning an event or reunion, be sure and check out the Ravens’ Nest as well. Between the two there are accommodations for up to 10 people in the same convenient location. Lots of parking
Come to glorious White Salmon River, and take some quality time to retreat in our beloved Spirit Lodge. Ice cold Big Buck Creek from the nearby melting glaciers of Mt. Adams joins the White Salmon River right here in this cul de sac of three cabins. The Spirit Lodge, The Ravens' Nest and our personal cabin where we live full time. May we suggest you look up the Ravens’ Nest, if you want friends and family to join you in this sacred place. That unit overlooks the river directly. The Ravens’ Nest has a separate bedroom, a conventional toilet, and a regular range, in a newly appointed kitchen. We can accommodate six people there. We also encourage people with children and dogs to book the Ravens Nest. We’d like to hear about your particular dog, only because some dogs are too big or boisterous for these small cabins. We encourage all respectful guests to bring their beloved pet, but we do ask that you leave us $10.00 cash per night for your dog. Here at the Spirit Lodge we offer visitors a brand new “American Leather” Comfort Queen size Sofa Bed that gets rave reviews. We can have it pulled out and made as a bed before you arrive, or you can easily pull it out at your convenience. There's an upper loft with ladder to a double bed, great for the kids or the kids at heart :). We’ve had wonderful reviews, and in honor of the feedback we’ve gotten, we’ve made a few upgrades. This cozy abode now has a new Vermont Casting wood stove that is much more efficient than the oversized cast iron box stove we had last year. People seem to like to prepare food in the kitchen, so we have added a new quick response infrared cooktop unit, and more and better pots and pans. Please make note, the Spirit Lodge has a nicely designed composting toilet. When used correctly it is very clean and has no smell. We ask guests to read the Spirit Lodge Manual. In it are instructions on how to use the composting toilet correctly. We have plenty of parking, a shaded porch and a gas barbeque. You can hear the sound of the creek and the river from inside the Lodge (with the large windows open), and within a few seconds walk you can see it. We provide wireless wifi and cell coverage for our guests. Our user name is worldwind and the password is peace999. Thank you one and all!
It is in a delightful location, a short walk from the kayak and raft take out @ Northwestern Park. In the spring/summer there’s nothing more thrilling than a raft trip with one of the outfitters in Husum or BZ Corner just a few miles up the road. Go horseback riding at the nearby stables. Explore the whole Mt Adams corridor up Hwy 141. So full of “Curious Gorge” sights and sounds plus the exhilarating smell of nothing but Mother Nature’s own perfume. We are within easy driving distance to so much that makes the Columbia River Gorge a stunning vacation destination: wineries, breweries, cider houses, waterfall and wildflower hikes, bald eagle watching, winter sports, windsurfing and meandering the paths and back roads of some of the countries most beautiful places. We are about 12 minutes from downtown White Salmon which is a lovely little mountain town with drop dead gorgeous views of Mt. Hood and some great dining options (Everybody's Brewing, White Salmon Baking Co., Pioneer Pizza, and Feast). In the Summer, stop by Reigleman's Orchard just down the road for incredible berries, peaches, nectarines, apples, and pears. We have a very lovely grocery store--Harvest Market-- which is well stocked (plenty of local ingredients and everything else too). Downtown Hood River is about 15 minutes away.
• The perfect woodsy retreat. The cabin was cozy and charming with warm welcoming hosts who keep the place super clean and organized. Will definitely come back again.

• Outstanding stay at Oma’s place. The Spirit Lodge is a super cozy cabin perfect for a getaway to disconnect from technology and connect to each other! My husband and I had a very relaxing time playing games, taking naps, visiting and going into Hood River a few times. If you go make sure to get the full tour from the incredible hosts and learn the full history of the property. We slept on the pull out which was comfortable but I would suggest bringing a foam pad, a tad hard for me, but that’s just my personal preference. We will be back many times!

Our cozy Hood River Studio is in walking distance to downtown and close to all outdoor activities! Come enjoy a weekend exploring the local breweries, brewpubs, wineries, and orchards. We'd love to share with you some of our favorite local spots. After you've spent the day snowboarding, skiing, hiking, kiting, wind surfing, or SUP-ing, come back and relax in the quiet Studio. You’ll love the comfy bed. Our Studio is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. HR Lic # 644
Our house is a skinny house - very recognizable and unique. But we don't let the narrowness bother us! The house has great charm and the yard / garden is amazing (especially in the Spring and Summer months)! The space is great for a single traveler or for two people. The king bed is super comfortable. The Studio is on the ground floor / basement level of the home and has many windows to let light in, while also offering full privacy when you need it.
• Such a great spot to stay in Hood River! Extremely clean with great amenities! Highly recommend this place for relaxation & great hospitality!

• Nice space. Clean with personal touches. Nice coffee without the plastic pods—much appreciated.

• It was a lovely and very comfortable place to stay. The communication with our hosts was quick and easy. Finding it wasn’t a problem. Check in simple. There’s a plethora of wineries and breweries in the area and we took advantage of a few of them prior to the closures due to the corona virus. We had a car so when we were worried about getting up the very steep hill back to the studio, we took the car. If you don’t have a car ( and there’s no Uber or Lyft) there is a taxi service if you’re not able to make the climb. Otherwise we found it to be great exercise. Thanks, Will and Ryan, for everything and for introducing us to Jacob Williams wine.

Kim2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
• The place was great! Super close to downtown Hood River and Ryan and Will are great hosts. They added such thoughtful touches to the place that made our stay even better. Will definitely stay there again!

• Our stay here was amazing! The check-in instructions were very detailed, and we had no trouble finding the Airbnb. The location is perfect for exploring nearby breweries and walking around Hood River, and Will and Ryan provided such thoughtful touches - a bar of handmade soap and a local bottle of wine! The place was very clean, and communication throughout the entire stay was excellent. We would highly recommend Will and Ryan to anyone looking to stay in Hood River!

Introducing the newest jewel in our crown: The Ravens' Nest opens her Wings to you. This snug riverside bungalow has everything you need. Relax in your separate bedroom overlooking a waterfall year-round. Cook up a storm in our kitchen. Eat at the dinning room table or out on the deck. If you are planning an event or reunion, check out the Spirit Lodge as well. Between the two there are accommodations for up to 10 people in the same gorgeous, convenient location. Lots of parking.
This is a simple cabin made with rough-cut wood, inside and out. It sits right on the edge of the wild and scenic White Salmon river. It is intimately imbued with all the natural elements. Open the sliding glass door in either the bedroom or living room and take in the sound of the rushing water. Wildflowers carpet the banks (that were recently lake bottom) in spring. Ice cold Big Buck Creek from the nearby melting glaciers of Mt. Adams joins the White Salmon right here in this cul de sac of three cabins. The Ravens' Nest, the Spirit Lodge, and our cabin. Be sure to look up Spirit Lodge if you want friends and family to join you in this sacred place. We encourage all respectful guests to bring their beloved pet, but we’d like to hear about your particular dog, only because some dogs are too big or boisterous for these small cabins. Also, we do ask that you leave us $10.00 cash per night for your dog.

• Oma's place is in White Salmon is a gift to anyone needing a place to unwind, recharge, get quiet or just hunker down with a friend or loved one. As we walked around the property to see the beautiful rushing river out back, we saw the deck was beautiful with lights and chairs, table recliners, a grill -everything you'd need to feel at home and cozy. We grilled hamburgers! We drove and then hiked to the waterfall not far from the cabin on oma's recommendation. (Worth it!) We went into white Salmon, about 5 miles away and there's plenty of great restaurants and bars there. Lots to do and see. We slept in, (bed was perfect!) made coffee, played Scrabble, listened to music and continually fed the beautiful wood stove provided there. We even chopped some wood! This is a fantastic, yet unpretentious, cozy little hideaway. Don't miss an opportunity to see this land, feel the warmth of the cozy cabin, and recharge your batteries. Oma- thank you. You are a superb host and an even better person! Grateful, Desiree & Tim

• Such a wonderful experience for my family and me!! The location does not get any better, and Oma and Lindy were wonderful hosts. Our kiddos also loved it here. It was very peaceful and there were cards and other games for us to play after we got back from exploring each day. The cabin had everything we needed. Hope to go back soon!!

• This cabin had an amazing location and we drove about 10 minutes to an awesome hike in the mountains, walked to the river park that was across the street, and hung out on the back deck near the river. The host was super kind and showed us around the area and told us about hikes. The place itself had really special touches, original art, and poetry and other types of books. The only issue was that it smelled like skunk, as there was one nearby. Loved this place and definitely would be back!

Aly2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
• We loved our stay here! The cabin is in an absolutely perfect location (loved hearing the river going to sleep at night) and is so cutely decorated. There was a fire going for us when we arrived, which made the cabin very warm and cozy. Oma was very responsive and it was a very easy check-in process.

Ilana2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
• A warm welcome and a wonderfully peaceful visit. Oma was a wonderful host and had everything we needed. Super cozy bed too!!! We loved falling asleep to the sound of the river and small waterfall. 💙

• The cabin was lovely with a perfect location for cross-country skiing and hiking. We enjoyed our time in the cozy cabin. We spent our time reading, knitting, painting, playing games, and watching the river and the occasional kayaker go by. The kitchen was well stocked and we found everything we needed to prepare our meals. A wonderful grocery store was close by in White Salmon. Our dog especially enjoyed the cabin located right across the street from a park which was perfect for frequent walks. The insider tip to a spectacular waterfall made the stay extra special.

Susan2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
• A peaceful, comfortable space, perfect for anyone looking for a cozy cabin off the beaten track. Oma was there to greet us and gave us great tips on nearby places to eat and visit. I highly recommend this place!

We really appreciate all the thoughtful touches like extra toothbrushes, snacks, and a variety of tea and coffee. The location was perfect as well! Located on our organic herb farm, our strawbale cottage w/ private patio is surrounded on all sides by the wild with Mt Hood views. Stay in a hand built piece of art on land brimming with love! This is a rustic setting for those who want to commune with nature. Our farm is off-grid & powered by solar. Hot shower & open-air kitchen in the pavilion May-Oct (see "Winter" restrictions). Composting toilet-Note bathroom is not in the cottage. Low EMF home. Thank you for supporting a small farm!
REFUND FOR NO DOGS: We have a $50 fee built into our cleaning fee for pets (there is no option for pet fees in ABB). If you are NOT bringing a pet, please let us know and we will refund you the $50 at the time of your reservation. WINTER: If booking November through Feb/March, please note that winter conditions can make this inaccessible. However, for snow-shoe access, send me a message (2.5 mile hike in)! Winter bookings will not have "running" water - so no hot shower. If driving access is available we will bring up potable water from our home for cooking, if snowshoeing/snowmobiling in then you will need to filter your own water from snow and bring your own bedding. Note that some of the information following is for our regular season, and some of it will not be correct for a winter booking: This beautiful slice of the Columbia Gorge is in a secluded and rustic setting. -This hand built cottage is made of strawbale wall with lime plaster, sheep's wool insulation in the cedar shake roof. This is a true experience! Views of Mill Creek Valley and Mt Hood in both the cottage and private patio. The cottage does not have a kitchen or bathroom INSIDE, however there is a covered pavilion with (almost) full kitchen, hot shower and composting toilet 100 yard walk away. -Queen bed on main floor of cottage with another queen in the loft. Locally made organic wool/cotton luxurious queen sized beds with all bedding (All of our bedding gets washed every time, so no bedspreads that see multiple users between washes. We use environmentally sound cleaning products.) *see restrictions of winter bookings - Hot water shower in our pavilion. (shower shared May - Sept) - Kitchen with grill, cook stove, small refrigerator, dishes/flatware, pots. Propane is provided. Kitchen facility is shared May - Sept. -Refreshing & delicious well water. - Cottage guests have sole access to a Sunmar Composting Toilet at the barn. Shared spaces include the pavilion with kitchen and shower. -Both the cottage and pavilion run completely on solar power. -If you prefer to check in before 5pm, send me a message and I can often accommodate early arrivals. - Dog bed provided for your furry friend. - If you are looking to book for a group, we have 2 tipis and a cottage! Rent the whole space. See our other listing: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/34149863?s=67&shared_item_type=1&virality_entry_point=1&sharer_id=29004390 A few things: *Well behaved pets are welcome! *Even though we are in the Pacific Northwest, it is very dry here in the summer, and campfires are banned by law during the months of May - Oct. *We are a working farm. This means that occasionally we have equipment running in the early morning. So far, due to the location of the cottage and the direction the wind blows, this hasn't disturbed anyone yet. You are welcome to ask questions about our farm, and poke around. *Although our location is wild and remote, we are only a 20 minute drive to downtown White Salmon, where you can find restaurants, grocery stores, and supplies. We recommend bringing flashlights and headlamps. There are two tipis & a cottage located on our farm, but they are secluded from one another so you will feel as if you have the place to yourself. *The road here is bumpy, steep and not suitable for vehicles with low suspension. There is no residence at the farm, so if you are a solo traveler and uncomfortable with staying alone, then this is not a good fit. Not trying to sound scary, just want to provide as much info as possible for happy travelers :) We look forward to meeting you!
15 minute drive to White Salmon, WA. Or cross the bridge (another 5 minutes drive) to Hood River, OR. We are approximately 1.25 hours from Portland. Uber does not service this area.
• We thought this place was unique and full of character! Definitely rugged during the winter, but still has such sweet charm! Ideal for a solo retreat or a couples getaway 😍 Talia and Dave are incredible hosts! They go above and beyond to insure you’re comfortable AND enjoying yourself. The space was neat, but their hospitality was incredible and was what made the trip, for us.

Madison2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
• Each trip to Talia, Dave & Co.’s property is even more magical than the last. This was our third trip- the first two times were. staying in the tipis in summer. This stay in early March in the cozy cottage Dave crafted was AMAZING. It’s truly a magical place of serenity in the forest. The sky was so clear at night, it shown the full moon and Venus, so brightly. Twas beautiful in the night and day. The propane heater in the cottage was incredible and made it so cozy- our dog loved laying by “the fire” too and joyfully bounding about outside. We also appreciated the nearby composting potty house. My fav new addition to the kitchen (especially in winter)was the electric tea kettle for hot water, that was so helpful cooking, cleaning and being outside in the cold. Such a great family space, up a long unpaved road, in the most beautiful area and hosted by the kindest stewards of the land. Can’t wait to visit again.

Kristi2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
• I highly recommend this quiet, magical place for a retreat from the stress of daily life; it's a complete reset in the forest. There are so many thoughtful, handmade touches that make you feel well taken care of while also feeling removed and remote from civilization. It's a perfect balance.

Lauren2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
• This place was beyond my dreams perfect. I was looking for a 5 day retreat as far away from city life as possible... no cars, people, or lights... to reset my nervous system and reconnect with nature. I had no idea how truly remote this would be until I got there, but for me that was just what I longed for! Settling into the cottage in that cozy comfy bed looking out at the view of misty mountainous valley, a blanket of stars above... I thought I had died and gone straight to heaven, truly. This place is pure magic for the right person. I have dreams of living in a strawbale home some day too... there is something so magical about being in these structures! The kitchen is an outdoor one, so it’s kind of like glamping. It’s down a long mountainous off-road kind of road where 4WD is a good idea. But if you don’t mind these aspects, it’s a rare and unique gem of a place, one that that I almost don’t want to share with anyone else ; ) except for the fact that I also fell in love with the family that built and host this place! They are the sweetest salt of the earth folks, the kind you want to see thrive and be well supported. So know that when you stay there you are supporting amazing people who give their heart and soul to everything they do! I couldn’t wait to come back from the moment I arrived.

Kamila2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
• Warm cozy unique hobbit-like home. The tippis were so fun and the outdoor spaces enjoyable. The owners were readily available for any needs or questions and they left a hand-written welcome note accompanied with home-made organic chapstick. Will definitely stay again.

• Amazing place to relax

David2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
• Adorable, cozy, clean space!! The cottage is thoughtfully crafted an decorated, the bed was so comfy, and the panoramic views those huge windows offer was amazing! Trees are right next to the windows, so we got to watch squirrels and birds from inches away. The outdoor kitchen was well stocked with cookware, and we were able to enjoy a few meals by the fire pit while we watched the fog roll in. A perfect space to give yourself the opportunity to relax and do nothing - a reminder of the exhale and pause that winter allows us.

Nestled in the pristine nature of Swale Canyon our a-frame offers a tranquil getaway. Whether you need some quiet time to reflect, write and ponder nature's beauty or you need a place to lay your head after an active day on the Klickitat River or hiking the Klickitat Trail or hunting in the wilderness, our cabin awaits you. No other buildings or residences in sight, you will have true privacy to relax and unwind.
Our a-frame cottage is a work of love that we hope you will enjoy. Many hands have worked on this project. Practically all of the materials have been reclaimed. The entire cottage is fed by a year-round artesian spring. Power is provided by solar. You can lounge by the creek or hike the two miles of private trails here or the hundreds of acres of public land abutting our property or cross the creek and find yourself on the many miles of the Klickitat Trail. The primary residence is located nearly a 1/4 mile from your lodging. We are available if you walk up the hill or by walkie-talkie (no phone coverage here!).
• I went with four of my friends for a weekend for my birthday, and we had an amazing time. The cabin was clean and stayed warm even when it dropped below freezing outside, and the view was gorgeous- there’s a stream right by the patio that I loved to sit by in the morning. Nitushi (the farm dog) is very sweet and came down to visit. It might seem a little intimidating to be so off grid- no wifi, one outlet, a compost toilet- but Scott was very helpful in explaining how to work everything, and responded quickly on the walkie talkie if we had any issues

Marie2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
• Perfect and unique.

Hannah2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
• Beautiful and serene spot off the grid! Carrie and Scott were incredibly accommodating and friendly. The solar-powered cabin was comfortable and well-equipped. I liked the composting toilet idea, it worked very well. Scott had good suggestions for places to explore, which we enjoyed in the company of their sweet dog Nitoshi. She was the cherry on top. Highly recommended!

• A great experience to get away from the business and stress of life and be able to relax in such a beautifuk, secluded area. Pretty hikes, fun exploring the surrounding areas, and a very cute and cozy cabin can be expected!

Max2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
• Carrie and Scott's cabin was everything we could want and more. They went above and beyond to assure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. I would visit again in a heartbeat. We spent our days relaxing and wish we had more time to hike around. We appreciated the barbeque outside, it was fun to sit out and listen to the crickets while we cooked our dinner. The bed at night was comfortable and we loved being able to listen to the creek while we fell asleep. The area is beautiful and we had no issues at all getting to the cabin.

Brindy2019-09-03T00:00:00Z
• This is a fantastic out of the way cabin that is deep in a canyon providing both the convenience of nice accommodations but also very secluded. A rare find. I especially enjoyed the little creek out front and the access to the hiking trails.

John2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
• A unique experience for us and the grandkids.

Ron2019-08-22T00:00:00Z

• Wonderful place! Really enjoyed Christin's place in White Salmon. Great set up for two people and a pup. Easy to drive to Hood River and other fun places to visit.

Nichole2020-01-30T00:00:00Z
• This place is the perfect-quiet-relaxing-getaway-weekend-out-in-nature spot. Hot tub hits the spot, campfires great with a view of the mountain, beds comfy, and there are cute places in town to explore. (White Salmon Bakery has great breakfast sandwiches. Everybody’s Brewing is the place to be in the evenings. Backwoods like 20 min away has great pizza.)

• A really beautiful property, and a fun yurt!

Meredith2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
• Really cute place! The yurt could not have been more cozy and quaint! Shelley went out of her way to make us feel welcomed and our anniversary special! The public lands that surround this place are incredible! We went on a 6 mile hike without seeing a soul! The bathroom was SUPER cool but worth mentioning that it is a 50 ft. walk from the house. Not at all a deal breaker for us though! We will definitely be back!

Becky2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
• This yurt was adorable and cozy, loved staying here!

Jessica2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
• Beautiful place! Quiet and cozy. Perfect for everyone of all ages. Very charming as well. Our daughter loved the pac man machine and we loved jammin' to the record player. Gorgeous view from the front porch. Great place to "unplug" the family.

Amanda2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
• Truly a gem! If you're looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city then don't hesitate to book a spot in Yurt Haven. Shelley is awesome and was right there when we had slight issues with the propane. Can't wait to come back once I brush up on my Pac Man skills!

Ryan2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
• Pac-Man! Wowza!

William2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
• DO NOT EVEN HESITATE, just book this place. My boyfriend and our two doggos stayed here for New Years Eve and it exceeded my expectations! This place has everything you need and more. The Pac-Man machine was so cool, theres a full kitchen, and the goats were so cute! The heater inside kept the place nice and toasty. The dogs had an amazing time running around. The fireplace outside was such a great touch. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thanks for the special memories!

**Due to the coronavirus, we’re taking extra care to disinfect frequently touched surfaces between reservations.** Duplex located 7 miles from downtown White Salmon, on the former golf course, right across the highway from the White Salmon River. Half a mile to rafting rentals, cafe and grill (open end of May through September) and ten minutes to downtown White Salmon. Fully appointed, bright studio above another apartment. Stay in and cook a meal to enjoy on the deck!
This upstairs studio has a spacious, open feel, with views out to the tree tops. The kitchen is stocked with all the basics for cooking (plus coffee and tea) The bathroom is fully stocked, too. For large groups up of up to 6, consider renting the main floor apartment as well, which sleeps four (listing is https://www.airbnb.com/h/river-rafters-delight-main-floor ). Your backyard deck with BBQ is a beautiful, private place to hang out. (Downstairs unit has a separate patio of their own). With extended stays, the laundry room can be made available to you. We have guidebooks to suggest a myriad of activities in every direction! Husum is a great central location. Although the golf course next door is no longer functioning, you can still take a walk or jog on grounds.
The little community of Husum on the White Salmon River has a few rafting and kayaking establishments if you want to check out the river. Wet Planet also has a grill open from May to October (hours vary seasonally) and an espresso bar with gift shop that opens most mornings at 8 if you want to pick up a muffin. We are also only 1.5 miles from the beautiful Tin Roof Barn wedding venue. Continuing up the highway, through forests and pasture land, is BZ Corner with a mini market and The Logs Restaurant. Conboy Nature Preserve is a few miles further on, a place to see elk and birds. Of course, heading back down river is the town of White Salmon with everything you need and want: groceries, pharmacy, restaurants, bars, shops, library, hospital. And Hood River is right across the toll bridge. Check out their waterfront park!
• My husband and I loved this spot; Teresa is a great host and the location was perfect for our weekend trip up the Gorge. The space was clean and bright, and we got to enjoy a weekend of snow in March in a very pretty spot!

• This is such a cute loft with lots of light. The bed was comfortable and even though the loft is just by the highway we didn’t hear a thing! The distribution is perfect for two people. The bath has everything you could need and even extras. This was a very relaxing experience and definitely better than expected!

Gabriela2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
• The space is very clean and practical. Couldn't ask for a better centralized location for going to town (Hood River/White Salmon) and contrasting it with outdoor adventure and fun. Will be coming back for sure.

Leila2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
• Super cute, clean and convenient! Teresa was quick to respond and easy to make our stay great!

This secluded, adventure retreat cabin sits at the edge of Mt Adams and the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. Modern comforts and amenities combined with a private hot tub deck and backdoor access to trails make this destination ideal for any mountain getaway. → Hot tub with grand celestial view → Wood stove for building crackling fires → Fully equipped kitchen → Living area with room to stretch out → Lofted bedroom with standing room → Outdoor clay chimney fire pit and deck seating
Relax in this cozy 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom log cabin after a day spent playing in the epic outdoors of southwestern Washington and the Columbia River Gorge. On the main floor, you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen, complete with coffee maker, blender, waffle maker and more, as well as the bathroom with an on-demand hot water heater provides instantly perfect shower temperatures. Plug into the stereo and build a fire in the beautiful wood stove on a chilly, mountain night (we’ve got instructions to help). Or, relax to a movie on Netflix with the 5g internet. Walk up the hand-hewn log stairs to relax on the queen bed, complete with luscious organic linens and a pillow-top mattress. Outside, old growth Ponderosa Pine trees nestle the cabin on one side and an open field stretches out on the other side to welcome the sunrise. The hot tub sits on the private back deck just off the living room. Benches and chairs along the deck welcome a quiet moment with morning coffee, or a laughter-filled group. Picnic tables in the lawn make outdoor dining among the old-growth pines easy. A small creek runs along the eastern edge of the property and into the nearby state forests, just a 0.2 mile stroll from the cabin. Large Elk herds and other wildlife frequent the nearby Conboy Lake Wildlife Refuge and other wilderness areas. Get Ready to Bliss-Out<\b> With wet hair from the hot tub and a full heart from exploring a truly magnificent area, you’ll melt right into the mattress (especially with the organic linens and pillow-top). The sound of the crackling fire after a day spent rafting the White Salmon River, hiking around Mt Adams Wilderness, or road biking Washington’s rural mountain expanse makes for a rather blissful experience. Of course, that’s just one of the reasons we love this place. We’d love to hear how it captures you for an excellent mountain escape. Nearby Adventuring Exploring out the back door is our favorite thing about this cabin. Our network of local retired logging roads on state forest lands adjacent to the property can be accessed directly from the back of the Cabin after about about ¼ mile hike through the fields. Meandering under the canopies of massive Ponderosa Pine with access to the Klickitat River can be done with shoes, bikes, or skiis. Imagine snowshoeing out the back yard or rolling your bike tires over endless dirt pathways to come home to a warm fire and hot tub soak. We’ll have a map for you to set off with confidence. Of course, hopping in the car for 20 minutes to be at the base of the 12,280-ft Mt. Adams and the endless trail options throughout the GIfford National Forest and Mt Adams Wilderness is not a bad option either. Road cyclists find this area of Washington and find themselves coming back more and more frequently each year. The roads that weave through and encircle the valley give riders nearly continuous views of the snow-capped volcanoes: drawn by Mt Hood on the declines and pulled by Mount Adams on the inclines. Mountain bikers will find trails within the nearby National Forest areas as well. We’re partial to the whitewater rafting and kayaking on the nearby White Salmon River, Klickitat River or Wind River having moved to the region for these whitewater gems and guided their rapids for many summers. Basically, the adventure options here are truly endless. Local Food Glenwood, your nearby small ranching and timber town has all you could need for your cabin retreat. The General Store, owned by the Yakama Nation contains surprising luxury camping items as well as essential pantry items like wine and cheese. Milkshakes, burgers, or beers on tap at the Glenwood Station may also complement your time in the area nicely. Weather At 2,000 feet elevation, Glenwood’s night time temps tend to drop without cloud cover, even in the summer. Dark skies reveal the Milky Way (while viewed from the hot tub, of course) and the stars light up with almost no light pollution nearby. Other Tips We recommend swinging into the cabin closer to your check-in time and hitting a local trail to enjoy the sunset (or slip right into that hot tub on the porch). In the colder months, you’ll want to turn up the two radiant heaters and start a fire as soon as you arrive. It takes a few hours to fully heat the cabin to that ideal cozy, mountain-cabin temperature. Or arrive late after a big day and plan on spending time under the Pendelton blankets with a good book or your current favorite Netflix binge as that fire fills the cabin with warmth. Children are welcome, but should be under adult supervision when using the stairs as there are gaps between the lower stairs and the railings. Glenwood has very little cell phone service, but the cabin is equipped with high-speed internet. You’ll want to set your navigation to the cabin before arriving in Glenwood.
• Peaceful and cozy cabin! Great place to get away

Space is attached but separate from rest of home where we live. Quiet, efficient, cozy + modern. No yard access and no kitchen cooking appliances other than microwave. Ductless heating for controlled heating + cooling. Cheers and Safe travels! 5th guest including infants $75/night extra. 3 mi to Dwntwn, close to WAAM, Fruit Loop/Vineyards
Luxurious easy stopping spot for friends and family coming into town for a visit. Perfect space to crash and relax after a day or evening out. Approximately 600sf. Interior is all new construction, high quality, very efficient, well-insulated. Please note exterior is still a work in progress:) Always improving!
What I like about our location is we are 10 minutes to downtown to check out all the excitement at the local shops, tasting rooms and river, but also on some land with some space and quiet at night. You can easily head out to do the fruit loop, seeing vineyards and flower gardens. Our closet vineyards are 1.5 miles away (Such as Marchesi, Cathedral Ridge, Hood River Vineyards)! It's also an easy jaunt up the hill to explore Odell and Parkdale. We are super close to Indian Creek golf course (1.3mi). We are near Indian Creek trail for a walk or run. We are less than an hour to Mount Hood for year round activities. We are close to hiking and cycling areas in the gorge. I enjoy heading out to Lost Lake and the Reservoir in the Summer for a swim and paddle boarding. We are on a couple acres and on a clear night the stars are bright. On a clear day you can see Mount Hood. The Airplane and auto museum is super close and fun to check out. On a nice day, you will see gliders and gorgeous planes floating above our house. (No loud evenings like normal airports). Of course, if it's a cold winter night, there is a nearby bowling alley and plenty of restaurants. I should note our house is off a road that is 40mph, but you can fairly quickly hook up with local, slower streets. We are 10 minutes to the freeway for easy access. Don't hesitate to ask any questions.
• Such a sweet place and friendly host!

• Great little place close to dining and Hood River main drag. Was great meeting our host and the restaurant suggestions were greatly appreciated. I loved the Himalayan salt lamp in the room and how each room could be adjusted for temperature. Place was very clean and we were traveling during the virus scare so it was appreciated. If we ever make it back down again we will stay again. Thank you!

Surrounded by cherry orchards, Carroll House is an 860 sqft, two bedroom, one bath guesthouse, located in the Mosier hills. The house can comfortably host 6 people(1 queen, 2 twin, 1 full size air mattress). Open concept living space with dine-in kitchen. This space was designed for slow, cozy living. I hope you enjoy every part of your visit, from making local coffee, watching the sun set, stargazing, and making popcorn while you catch up on your favorite show.
For over 100 years Carroll House has sat overlooking the cherry orchards of the Mosier Valley. Built by the original owners of the property George and Emma Carroll, the structure was originally used as an equipment workshop and has since been used as a storage facility, florist shop and commercial kitchen. Completely renovated in 2018, Carroll House at Cherry Hill Farm now looks forward to hosting guests as it begins this new chapter in this beautiful valley.
Carroll House at Cherry Hill Farm is set amongst the cherry orchards of the Mosier Valley. The property has dramatic views across the river to Washington and the Syncline. While the property is only a short two mile drive outside Mosier city limits, it feels much more secluded.
• Cant say enough good things about this place. Carroll House is set in a beautiful location. It is clean, so well decorated and stocked with everything you need to have a great get away. You wont be disappointed. We will definitely be coming back to this wonderful spot.

• We had such a wonderful stay. It was clean, spacious, and well equipped for our stay. We loved how much thought was put into this beautiful home, including hangers small enough for our child's coat, a cute little barn toy for her to play with and fresh cut rosemary on the kitchen windowsill. We will absolutely be back.

• The Tranquil-a-Tree House was the perfect place to spend a relaxing weekend away from the city. We loved hiking around the woods around the property and chilling in the hot tub. Mark, the treehouse keeper, was very friendly and helpful. Check this place out for a unique experience!

• The hot tub makes it sooo worth it, and the wood stove indoors kept it so nice and cozy. A perfect cozy getaway with beautiful views of mt. Adams on the drive in.

Sophia2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
• The place is extremely unique. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The caretaker and his dogs are sweethearts. The hot tub is hot and clean. Although the cover isn’t the easiest to get off(at least I didn’t find an easy way). It snowed moderately on the day of our departure and the caretaker followed us all the way down to White Salmon to be sure we made it out okay. I’d recommend anyone give this place a try!

• Highly recommend

Neil2019-07-12T00:00:00Z
• We had a lovely stay in the treehouse. Peace and quiet. No technology. Plenty of birds. No distractions. Delightful! It's a good 30 mins from any services which is great on most levels but can also be a little bit inconvenient. Of course it's also the reason for all that peace and quiet! Rebecca was super helpful with our reservation as we had to move it forward a day and she did so without issue. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed the sweet space in the woods!

Laurie2019-06-20T00:00:00Z
• Perfect for a cozy long weekend! The hot tub was the star attraction, with great views of the woods and wildlife. The woodstove and fire pit were a treat, and the woodshed was fully stocked. Would go back again! One quick note of caution- make sure to follow the directions that Rebecca gives you to the property! GPS and map apps will take you on a terrifying and virtually unpassable road.

Ginger2019-01-22T00:00:00Z
• Very amazing! You won’t hear a single sound other than nature. We got beautiful snow and it was cold, but the hot tub was hot, and the fireplace makes it super cozy. Highly recommended if you want to get away from the city.

• Jeff & Ann are superhosts! Their communication is prompt, and accurate. The space is very clean and tidy, with many thoughtful extras that go beyond basics. I’d venture a guess that the space dates to the early 1980s, and in this case that’s a good thing with vaulted ceilings and windows that nearly reach floor to ceiling. The whole space is very well maintained, comfortable and quiet. If you’re staying in the Goldendale area, skip the iffy motels. Jeff and Ann will make you feel like you’re visiting old friends.

• It's such a lovely place and nice stay here. The house and the scenery around are really superb. Jeff and Ann are supper kind, warmhearted and generous. And thank you so much for your gift, we like it very much, and really appreciate it. Goldendale is such an amazing place. Mount hood and mount Adams greeted us every day. The starry starry night never failed to fascinate us all these days. The historic houses in the downtown, the golden and endless grassland, the gorgeous Columbia river gorge..... Seven days is really not enough to explore around the Goldendale. Hope next time we can spend more time here. Thank you so much for your hospitality and see you next time.

• Little out of town but worth it. Beautiful environment and home with very gracious hosts! If we go to goldendale we will be aiming to stay here again!

• At this B&B you can expect to be treated as if you are family. Jeff and Ann gave us accomodations at an excellent price for roughly 4 months with barely any advance notice. Everything you can possibly need is in the apartment. It's clean, comfortable, and in a peaceful environment. They are fun people and good friends!

My place is close to family-friendly activities, great views, kayaking, fishing, rafting, hiking. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, XC skiing near by and families (with kids). PLEASE BE ADVISED: Daylight check in required! We will not be available for showing you the way in the dark. This is a heavily forested area that can be challenging to navigate in the dark. We have unleashed dogs that are extremely friendly. Winter does not allow shower or running water. Happy trails!
We are tucked in the woods, only 12 miles from Hood River. You will be surrounded by wildlife as well as domesticated animals. We have very friendly dogs, Quilla and Griffin that will greet you. They are off leash at all times and extremely friendly. However, if you are timid of dogs, this would not be a good fit. Our yurt offers you a Glamping (glamorous camping) experience. We hope you will find just what you need to be comfortable. Winter months do not allow shower or water amenities. February- October, bring shower shoes and a robe for outdoor shower!! If you book in the winter, please be advised it will be like dry camping- bring your own wood and water. Keep in mind that this is still considered camping. Although comfortable, please don't expect it to have all the luxuries of a home. Bring some cozy slippers to keep your feet warm as we prefer to minimize the impact by leaving shoes at the door. Bring your own water or jugs to fill and haul like you would at any dry camp site.
You can howl and scream as loud as you want!! We live in the woods. Some would say in the Deep woods! It's a dirt road to our house and although the county does care for it during winter months, you will need AWD to even make it up our driveway. We have a great proximity to Mount Adams. There are plenty of trails and fun winter sports to do up there including cross country skiing and snowshoeing. Please be advised, we cannot offer you a warm shower during winter months. You need to be OK with roughing it a little bit :-) also, we are parents to two very small children. Out of respect for their bedtimes as well as the neighborhood we ask that guests arrive during daylight hours. We have provided early check in hours. We will not be able to assist you past dark for your arrival. The area is too challenging for you to navigate on your own in the late night. We want you to safely see the area and have a wonderful time. There is a wooden round house about 75 feet from the yurt that is occupied. The tenant there is extremely respectful of guests and will be available to assist with guest needs. Expect a burn ban to be in effect as of July 1 until usually October 1. The county does not allow any fires of any sort.
• If you are looking for a simple peaceful experience, this is your place. You will have everything you need here. It's very comfortable, cozy, and although you are only 20 minutes from town, you feel very tucked away. All the animals are sweet and Kathryn and her family were very friendly. Kathryn does a great job with details on what to expect, so there were no surprises. Communication was great and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. We will be back. Thank you.

• This spot was perfect and exactly what we were looking for. The wife and I are used to tent camping, so staying in the yurt was very cozy and dry during a wet weekend. The location was great, too, close to many hikes for viewing waterfalls and several local breweries. Kathryn was always quick to respond via text and check-in was a breeze. We would definitely stay here again.

• We were attending a wedding at the Tin Roof barn, this location was just a short 5 min drive. The yurt was extremely well kept, one of the most comfortable beds, and so quiet and peaceful. They even have a fairly comprehensive collection of maps, books, local venues in the area should you find yourself looking for adventures. Would highly recommend staying here! Host are amazing, property is amazing, and overall a great experience. Thanks for having us!

Twin Oaks is an updated doublewide home perched on a basalt knoll with 11 beautiful acres overlooking vineyards and the Columbia River. Views include river and gorge to the west and north. In springtime see waterfalls on the Washington cliffs. Located 8 miles east of Hood River, Twin Oaks is near Mosier on scenic Hwy 30. This is in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge, with nearby hiking, biking, watersports, boat ramp, & ski areas. Enjoy the numerous wineries and local microbrews in the area.
Twin Oaks house is 1800 square feet, one-level, 3 bedroom, 2 bath. This is an 80's doublewide; but don't worry, shag carpet is gone and the wallpaper is painted over. We are gradually updating and improving it, and it's a very clean and comfortable space now. Let's call it an artsy cabin ambiance with touch of Ikea.
The setting is oak and pine prairie and meadow with basalt outcroppings. The landscape is natural, and we regularly see deer, turkey, coyote, redtail hawk, osprey vulture, bald eagle, and golden eagle. The bird feeders attract red and yellow finch, nuthatch, towhee, chickadee, western bluebird, redwing blackbird, western tanager, sparrow, and junco. Enjoy wildflowers April-May. Two nearby hikes provide more opportunities to connect to nature. Two wineries with tasting rooms are within walking distance.
• This is an older, modest manufactured home on what might be one of the best properties in the gorge (certainly that I've ever been on). The views and property itself are breathtaking. We found it to be a very functional home, probably the most functional that I've ever stayed in. I found the value to be very high and would certainly recommend it to anyone who enjoys taking in the scenery of the gorge.

Micah2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
• This place is awesome! The price is fantastic compared to other places in the area. It was perfect for a small family gathering, including with small kiddos and a dog. The house isn’t fancy but had everything we needed, and the property and the view were outstanding. We will definitely stay here again!

Kiel & Hazel2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
• Great views of the Columbia River and a decent sized lot if you wanted to run around, although it is on a hill. Good value, with cool furniture. The house itself is older and could use some work getting baseboards in and fixing some unfinished parts of the house. With that said, it is a good house for an event, or get-together for adults.

• Loved everything about this place. My husband and I wanted a place to unwind but that wasn’t too far away from nice bars and restaurants, if we decided to go out one night - and this house was that perfect place. We made a fire one night, were able to bring our puppy with us and the house had everything you need for a great stay. Mike and Laura were very quick to get back to me and gave us good tips for places and wineries to go to. Will be staying here again.

Karla2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
• The view was spectacular and the home was cozy. We played board games (so many to choose from!) in the evening and explored and hiked during the day. This was the perfect short getaway for us. The hosts were friendly and quick to respond to our messages and gave suggestions for places to visit while we were there. The beds were comfy, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the living room made us wanna stay so much longer with views during the day and a great stereo and games or puzzles at night. I would definitely recommend staying here for the hospitality, views and cozy space.

• Karey’s place was great. It is much bigger than the photos, which was a pleasant surprise. The sound of the river was lovely! Has all the amenities needed. Great shower! Nice and cozy. Thanks Karey!

Located within walking distance of the beautiful White Salmon River. Our cabin is a modern A-frame with everything you need for a quiet and relaxing getaway. 4 people max (truly best for 1 couple or 2 adults with 1-2 kids). We do not recommend 4 adults since it will feel pretty tight. IMPORTANT: we have just ONE parking spot for Air Bnb guests so if you need to come in more than one car we aren't a good fit. Well-behaved dogs okay with advance notice.
Our 850 square foot cabin in the woods is cozy but very open. The main floor has one bedroom (queen bed), full bath (+ washer/dryer), kitchen, wood stove and couch (pulls out to a full size bed). The loft (access by ladder) is furnished with a full size bed and a big comfy chair that is perfect for curling up with a good book. You pass through the main bedroom to get to the bathroom so our cabin is probably best for families or close friends :-). Our kitchen is stocked with all the tools you need to make delicious meals or enjoy the gas grill on the front deck. We love our vintage 1950s stove (she's old so please treat her nicely). We have a full size fridge and farmhouse sink. We have WiFi and the cabin receives most cell service. In the cool months, the cabin comes stocked with plenty of firewood, but you may need to channel your inner Paul Bunyan and do a little chopping (we have axes and hatchets for you to use). Also, you might want to brush up on your wood stove/fire making skills. We provide everything you need (newspaper, etc) to build a nice fire and the cabin warms up quickly. The cabin does not have A/C (most of the cabins in the area do not) and it can get warm in the summer months. We have several fans that cool the place down and the breeze from the river is pleasant in the evening. A reminder that we have just ONE parking spot so if you need to come in more than one car we are not a good fit.
If you enjoy the rushing sounds of a Wild & Scenic River then our cabin will be heaven. Our cabin was once on the banks of Northwestern Lake which was drained after the removal of Condit Dam in 2011. The former lakebed, outside our front windows, has been transformed into a meadow and is gradually returning with native grasses and plants. Out the front door are also riverside hiking trails as well as the kayak/raft take out at Northwestern Park. In the spring/summer there's nothing more thrilling than a raft trip with one of the outfitters in Husum or BZ Corner just a few miles up the road (we are partial to Wet Planet but they are all great). Trout Lake is 25 minutes away and is the gateway to Mt. Adams and the Gifford Pinchot National Forest (much less crowded than Mt. Hood). We are within easy driving distance to so much that makes the Columbia River Gorge a stunning vacation destination: wineries, breweries, cideries, waterfall and wildflower hikes, bald eagle watching, winter sports, windsurfing, and meandering on some of the countries most beautiful back roads.
• Darling cabin close to activities and beautiful scenery!

• Stephanie's cabin was the perfect weekend getaway location in the gorge for my partner and me. The cabin is a good size for two people and a great jumping off point for hanging out in White Salmon and squeezing in some hikes. The host was super responsive and thoughtful and seemed to care a lot about the quality of our trip. We had an incredible time getting the wood fire going and exploring the extensive tape collection on a chilly February evening. Speaking of which, the vintage cassette tape deck set up is not to be missed if, like me, you are a huge nerd for 70's Marantz setups and/or tape decks. I brought a few tapes with me but no worries - their collection does indeed slap and provided a lot of enjoyment. Would recommend to friends!

Luke2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
• Stephanie's place is beautiful, comfortable, and so well thought out. The cabin had everything we could think of and even the things we would have never realized we needed. The location has the secluded feel you want when renting a cabin on the river, but is also just a short drive to town. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back!

• We came to the cabin with our best friends, and it was the perfect getaway for a beautiful, secluded place with a comfortable, fashionable feel with a great remodel job and a wood fireplace. We stayed in the top part, the besties stayed in the room. Great experience all around! We all would absolutely stay again!

Jessica2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
• This cabin is the best Airbnb around! Stephanie, the host, is a wonderful communicator and has provided absolutely everything you might need. This place is just close enough to the city to be convenient, and far enough away to give you piece of mind. I would highly recommend this house if you are looking for a peaceful, beautiful, and adventurous retreat.

Many Washington and Hood River, Oregon wineries are within 15 minutes drive from this central location. Spring, summer and fall windsurfing, kite boarding, SUPs, kayaking, and hiking all abound just 10 minutes away. Winter skiing at Mt Hood Meadows is a 40 minute drive. After your adventure enjoy a great meal out or prepare a simple meal or BBQ at your studio and enjoy the awesome views and sunsets there while you dine.
The studio is cozy and inviting. It has it’s own private entrance and is in a separate building across the lawn from our home. The space is provided with all the things you may need/want for an enjoyable stay. Just ask us if there's anything more you may need, including info about the area! The studio has a queen size bed, ceiling fan, 40” TV, 60 mb wifi, Bluetooth speaker, kitchenette, coffee maker with coffee & tea, microwave, mini fridge, and outside BBQ. The grounds around are well manicured with a flowing stream between two ponds stocked with goldfish in front of the owners home. Feel welcome to sit on the bench and enjoy the sound of the water flowing from the fire hydrant while watching the calming fish.
Our neighborhood is 1/2 acre lots, so there is plenty of space between homes. On our private, dead end street there are only 6 homes so there are no traffic concerns.

Cozy 380 square foot cabin retreat on private two acre lavender farm with a view of Mount Adams. We have 500 lavender plants- with 15 varieties. Our blooming season starts at the end of June through August. Come enjoy our slice of magic in the valley!
A working lavender farm and restful private retreat. We have a king size bed in the sleeping loft and a new full size sofa trundle bed
Beautiful pastoral views of orchards and local mountains. Cabin is located on quite tree lined semi-private country road. Welcome to your private oasis! Our farm is in the valley surrounded by pear and apple orchards. There are a few wineries you can venture to on the Fruit Loop Trail- stop by Apple Valley country store (a mile away) for some yummy pie and the Draper Girls Farm further up the valley for peaches or locally raised lamb. The small town of Odell is 2 miles from the farm and has a small grocery store. We are 7 miles from downtown Hood River. Oak street is the main downtown area with plenty of great places to shop, eat, coffee shops (Ground) local breweries. My favourite is Double Mountain. You can also venture over to the riverfront for some windsurfing, kitesurfing or rent a SUP. There is a great park at the riverfront across from some new restaurants and bars- pFriem and Camp 1805 Distillery are fun! Late night ice cream back in town at Mike’s! If you golf - Indian River Golf is 5 minutes away. It’s has a nice restaurant Divot for a burger & beer and good internet access. From the farm you have some great hiking options. Going up the mountain to Timberline Lodge- Mount Hood a 1/2 day outing. Plenty of trails along the way. The views are spectacular. Another favourite is Lost Lake. We have some books/guides at the cabin (please leave them for others) Additional links for reference: https://hoodriverfruitloop.com/ https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timberline_Lodge https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lost_Lake_(Hood_River_County,_Oregon) http://gorgelodging.com/about-the-area/travel-planner/ https://www.hood-gorge.com/ https://traveloregon.com/places-to-go/regions/mt-hood-columbia-river-gorge/ Most of all enjoy yourself. • My partner and I used this as our weekend getaway to celebrate our anniversary. Great location, close enough to make things feel convenient but far enough away to feel like it was just us. Appreciated the amount of toiletries and other things you might need/forget available. The bed was comfortable and the place was clean. The loft stairs are definitely steep but we did just fine with them. We had trouble getting the bathroom door closed all the way, but we’re comfortable enough with one another that wasn’t much of a deal breaker :)

Brandi2019-10-06T00:00:00Z

• This place was absolutely adorable and the perfect getaway for my anniversary with my partner. The surrounding nature was even prettier than I expected, as you’re sandwiched between Mt Rainier and Mt Hood, and among vineyards. The ladder up to the bed loft is straight up and down so not good for anyone who can’t manage that, but we had no issues. It was a very memorable and special spot!

*Perfect COVID-19 escape!* Our clean and private tiny house packs everything you need in one little package! It has a loft for the bed, a full kitchen, dual heating systems, a sitting area with french doors and built-in window seat and a cedar-lined shower. Come experience the simple life in the woods, hearing the birds and wind in the trees from your bed. Great for a digital detox since we don't have wifi! Our 10 acres backs up to lots of open space with trails, creeks and forest roads.
We have created a home for ourselves on our forested 10 acres that expresses our belief in living simply, our respect and love for nature and the importance of community. Our tiny house, the Sweet Pea as we call it, is one example of this. High school students at an alternative school in Portland built the house as a school project, and Scott fine-tuned it to make it a perfect space for one or two (we lived in it comfortably last winter.) It has a lofted queen bed, a full kitchen, a cedar-lined shower, plenty of storage for clothes, etc, and a sitting area with french doors and a built-in window seat. Everything you need in one cozy little package! The french doors and window seat face south and east for great light and ridge and meadow views. You can also sit outside at our patio table and enjoy a sunset dinner. There is a composting outhouse that is about 50 feet behind the tiny house that is just for the Tiny House. We have also recently constructed a new beautiful outdoor shower that lets you rinse off with the best view of the woods. We encourage you to come explore a simple life! As noted above, we do not have wifi, but there is good cellphone reception. For more pictures visit our Instagram at Bubbawood135 Some fine print: -Linens and towels provided - Basic toiletries provided - The bed is reached by a solid, sloped ladder (Kay was able to climb it 9 months pregnant) - The "wet room" shower is cedar-lined (the whole room!) - Small covered front porch for shoes (shoeless tiny home please) - Extra blankets - Drawers and hanging space for clothes - A child could sleep comfortably on the window seat or in a pack n' play. Kitchen Specifics: - Mini fridge and freezer - Toaster - 3 burner gas stove - Coffee and tea supplies - Pots and pans, etc for cooking - Basic spices and olive oil There are chairs and a table outside so you can enjoy your meals overlooking our meadow and watch the evening light play on the ridge opposite the White Salmon River. We also have some lounge chairs for sunning and sipping beverages while watching our deer!
Northwestern park is about 10 minutes from the town White Salmon and 15 minutes from Hood River. It is a wonderful little community of cabins and rural properties that border the White Salmon River and extend up into the hills. The river is a world class destination for whitewater rafting and kayaking (our friends own All Adventures Rafting if you're looking for a great trip, or if you're into keeping it mellow there is a nice trail down the river bank to some dipping spots). We are just 10 minutes from the windsports mecca of the Columbia River Gorge, and surrounded by awesome mountain biking and hiking trails in the Buck Creek and Nestor Peak areas.
• The Sweet Pea tiny house had everything we needed, all the essentials. Very clean, organized and cozy. The shower was amazing and the view from house spectacular.

• Great stay for our weekend getaway. Perfectly cozy for two!

Hans2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
• We loved our mini-retreat in Kay and Scott's tiny home! Right next to gorgeous land, hiking and views. And they were extremely welcoming. Highly recommended!

Scott2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
• I recommend this home to anyone!!! It was so calm, recharging, fantastical, and beautiful!!

Amber2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
• Our first tiny home experience was amazing. We were only able to stay for a few hours, but felt like it was a nice retreat. The area is amazingly quiet and dark. Looking up at the stars at night was a highlight for us since we live in the city. Scott and Kay are both very kind and helpful. They provide everything you might need including the details such as bug spray for when you walk the nearby trails :-) If you’re looking for somewhere to unwind and detach, this is the place for sure.

Diane2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
• What a fun weekend away at the Sweet Pea! Highly recommend for a quiet, relaxing time with options to explore the land.

Lydia2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
• We had a lovely weekend in the tiny house. The house has everything you need for an unplugged stay. We enjoyed cooking, drinking coffee, looking at the stars, and being cozy in the space. The tiny house’s location is great because it feels remote and private, but it’s also a moderately quick drive into nearby White Salmon and Bingen, as well as convenient for accessing hiking trails. Kay, Scott, and Wren were excellent hosts—they were out of town while we were at the tiny house so we didn’t have the pleasure of meeting them in-person, but they were extremely responsive and available via messenger.

Miwako2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
• This is the perfect cabin for a quick weekend getaway for 2.5 people. While super close to Portland, the location is very serene and you get great views of Mt Hood and Mt Adams on the drive in. The directions are super helpful and you should be able to handle the driveway with any decent AWD. The house is well stocked with amenities for cooking and is super comfy. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. Thanks again for a memorable cabin stay :)

View of columbia river gorge from living area, kitchen and bathroom. Open with high ceilings and eclectic collection of furniture and art. On curb of historic highway 30. Hood River is 6 miles by bike on carfree bike route.
Like new kitchen with wood floors, stone counter, and modern bathroom. Heated pool with separate spa tub, small gym with a basic setup for a workout. Close to kayaking, windsurfing, mountain and street biking, kite surfing, hiking, and summer and winter activities. (Pool is quite cold after Oct 1, but the spa and gym are still open}
Mosier is a small orchard town with a couple of places to eat and drink. Rack and Cloth makes hard cider and offers tasty light foods and some local produce. There is also a local bar nearby. A convenience store offers basics. Hood river is a few minutes by car.
• Lanny and Susana’s place has an incredible view of the Columbia River and the Washington side. Breathtaking. As mentioned in other reviews, there is a highway and train activity. However, it did not deter our enjoyment and was not noisy. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend.

Stephanie2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
• It was very clean and the view is wonderful. You must remember that most views of the Columbia often come with some highway noise and train noise. The apartment was quiet considering. The stereo was a great touch and it was nice to not have a TV compete with the view in the main living area. We had a great time and the apartment is beautiful.

Beija2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
• Loved it. Food at MoCo was incredible and the view was great. Unit was surprisingly quiet even though it was right on train line. Would stay again!

• We loved the view, the proximity to hiking and biking, and especially appreciated the quick responses from our hosts.

Karen2019-11-19T00:00:00Z
• We had a lovely stay at this spectacular, super clean & stylish condo. The views are absolutely stunning. Kitchen is well supplied. Lanny & Susana provided all the components and information for a smooth, relaxing, hassle-free stay.

Location, Location, Location!!! This basement apartment is quiet, warm and close to everything! Excellent for solo travelers, buddies on a road trip, two couples or families of four on a budget! Pet friendly too so come and enjoy the Columbia Gorge! Weekly rental only beginning in 2018 from June through Sept....still a bargain at $350 per week!
This apartment has a separate entrance and is very private and within walking distance to town. The apartment is quiet, affordable and walking distance to everything and is great for couples, families of four, solo adventurers and your furry friends too! Please be aware though that this is my home and my son and I reside upstairs, so you will probably hear foot traffic in the morning when I am getting ready for work or on the weekends when I get up for coffee. I want you to have a pleasant experience and so far everyone has, but I need you to know about the space you are renting.
We live just on the west end of the awesome little town of White Salmon, about a 5 minute walk to shops and restaurants.
• Comfortable and private accommodations just a short walk from the shops & cafes in White Salmon.

• This is a clean, well-appointed and cozy place, close to town. A great value for the price. Jonathan is an excellent and thoughtful host. A bit hard to find, but worth the search.

Tom2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
• Jonathan's place was awesome! Nothing fancy but we did not need or want to pay for fancy. He is a very nice and helpful person. There is plenty of room and the things we needed. We highly recommend Jonathan's!

Hernan2019-05-09T00:00:00Z
• Jonathan is an outstanding host - he quickly to respond to messages and keeps you updated on anything occurring around the property (like a cougar visit!) The space itself is clean and has a variety of kitchenware and cooking options (microwave, toaster oven and a hot plate) to heat leftovers or make meals from scratch. Downtown White Salmon is less than 5 minutes away on foot, and the road does not have heavy traffic. Overall perfect for my needs.

• This was a really great place, better than expected. The room had lots of nice touches and was really stylish and comfortable. The breakfast was healthy and delicious with good coffee! Michael was a great host, joined us for breakfast and gave us lots of good tips for things to do. He was very attentive and friendly. I highly recommend this place!

• What a wonderful stay at the Inn at the Gorge! Spent two nights in the lovely Garden Suite with comfy beds, and nice little kitchen! The hosts were beyond great - friendly and helpful... Had breakfast each day - hearty and delicious with lots of great coffee and conversation... Book here - you'll love it!!

Tracy2019-08-13T00:00:00Z
• Our stay here was great. The place was very clean. We stayed here with a couple friends so there were four of us total and it was cozy but doable. Walking distance from downtown hood river which was great!

Jenna2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
• The Garden Suite was SO clean and inviting. Do know that if you are using the multiple beds that there is no door separating the two rooms and you have to walk through the bunk room to use the bathroom, but if you’re close with your traveling partners it won’t be a big deal. We also didn’t realize how attentive Michael was going to be to things like making sure we had really filling and tasty breakfasts provided so that was a plus! Lastly, he recommended that my husband and I take the e-bikes out for a ride and we had such a great time! Even if you think the hills are too much, with the exception of the one right next to the house, they were fine! I would totally recommend it. Also Big’n is a total sweetheart :-)

Kate2019-07-08T00:00:00Z
• A friend and I spent 2 nights at the Inn at the Gorge and had a fabulous time. I did not expect the fabulous breakfast or the amazing dog. Michael the host even had a spare mountain bike and took my friend out on an amazing ride while I was off kiting. The location is great and very walkable to town.

Tina2019-06-18T00:00:00Z
• This is the perfect Historic Inn from which to enjoy Hood River! The property has been lovingly restored, and the beds were luxury quality from the duvets to the mattress and provided a glorious nights sleep. The location was perfect, a short walk from the hustle and bustle of downtown through a historic neighborhood (with really cool sidewalks on State & Oak Sts that were significantly below the car-road - I'd never seen anything like this before!) The Inn itself is a stunning FourSquare nestled on a beautiful corner lot with magnificent trees and gardens surrounding the beautiful wraparound porch (with rocking chairs - the perfect place to enjoy coffee)! The hot tub was right under one of the old beautiful trees, and was a lovely place to relax after a long day of wine tasting! Michael is an excellent host who fostered a warm and welcoming environment that was both classy and comfortable. I will most definitely come back for a weekend overnight exclusively to use the beautiful claw-foot tub facing a window and a canopy of green trees!

• The Inn at the Gorge is a great place to stay it’s quiet and beautiful!!! Really enjoyed our visit this spring!!!! Michael is a great host and is available to guests but is not intrusive. The hot tub is a great amenity and the room was comfortable and clean!!!

• Cynthia’s Airbnb is even better in person than we could have expected. The view of Mt Adams from the dining nook is unbeatable and we chose to stay in for our meals so we could sit and enjoy the view. The bed is comfy and the space is very warm and cozy. Collecting fresh eggs for breakfast was such a treat! Cynthia was really kind and great with communication though we never had the chance to meet in person! The location is close to pretty much everything! We will definitely be back
