“I prefer this uptown Kingston eatery in warmer months as the back deck has amazing views of the sunset and I find it a little tight inside. Have a Catskill Cocktail with elderflower extract. You’ll be glad you did! ”

“I thought I made great Mexican food, AND I DO! But when we really want to treat ourselves we go here. Everything is SO good. Darnit, I’m getting hungry just writing this. It’s a 24min drive across the river to Kingston, and well worth it. On top of everything else the place is absolutely adorable and summertime has an outdoor seating area with a taco truck and giant Jenga game. Cannot recommend this place any higher. ”

Bistro
$$
“If you're driving to or from the Woodstock or Kingston area, we highly recommend stopping at Bistro To Go. It's one of six delightful independent food shops on Route 28. You could easily miss this spot, as it looks like an ordinary "strip mall," but the small collection of artisan shops that have come together to form "Eat Drink 28" is a one-stop culinary collective. Eat Drink 28 is made up of Blue Mountain Bistro-to-Go, Cheese Louise, The Wine Hutch, La Bella Pasta, Hookline Fish Co. and KBBK Kombucha.  You can enjoy the high-quality house-made takeout offered at Blue Mountain Bistro-to-Go, which specializes in eclectic comfort food, and delicious baked goods, with a great selection of gourmet groceries. More than 250 international and national cheeses are available at neighboring Cheese Louise in addition to breads, cured meats, crackers, caviar, oils, and freshly made foods and soups. Over 500 wines at the Wine Hutch next door.   Newbies on the block KBBK Kombucha migrated from Brooklyn in 2015.   The oldest business in the stretch, La Bella Pasta, family-owned and operated since 1985, creates fresh-made raviolis, sauces, and pastas.”
