Apartment was a little hard to find at first, but when we stopped for directions, discovered we were in the right place. Our host was very welcoming and made sure we knew where everything was as well as how to get in touch if we needed anything else. The apartment had a lovely view over the valley.

I have to say it was fantastic the host were amazing it was a home from home , we were attending a wedding and they even went out of their way the next morning to drive us into the town to collect our car... My partner and me were looking for a nice and quiet house to rest between Cork and The Ring of Kerry. This house, was the perfect option. It was so nice to rest there, a very disconnected area and peaceful, surrounded by fields and farm animals. Need a car to get there.

Nicole is a great hostess, the house is an absolute dream who loves nature and tranquility as we here exactly richtig.Besonders attentive we found the welcome (jams, liqueurs, cakes) .Kili was a constant cuddly, sociable (voracious) Hangover .The hotel offers everything when needs because there are no concessions to machen.Wir will meet again and say hello to the kids

We only stayed one night at the cottage Nicole who warmly welcomed us and made himself available if needed. Our only regret is not staying longer in the area that seemed very friendly and especially in this cottage enjoying a quiet location in the heart of the beautiful Irish countryside.

The cottage is really wonderful, a very quiet location, recently renovated and with a lovely living room that gets full sun during the day, if there is any of course, this being Ireland. The kitchen is fully equipped and there are basics like salt+pepper, tea, sugar, oil, really appreciated. Hosts are very friendly and helpful, Nick even came to pick us up when we were unable to find the way. And we enjoyed the DVD collection. Not easy to find the cottage though! But that was the only negative point...

Our stay in the cottage Nicole and Nicolas was perfect, accommodation is clean and well thought out nice, located in the middle of the beautiful Irish countryside is the perfect place to relax. Lots to see in the area.

Nicole was very helpful and precise in giving us information on how to reach the cottage, which otherwise would not be easy to find. The apartment was clean and tidy. There was, unfortunately, the availability of Wireless for a short stay (we stayed 2 nights). They did find in the fridge a few eggs from their chickens and a good homemade jam. Big availability for check-in and check-out. Good base for visiting the counties of Cork and Kerry. Recommended.

My plane landed in Cork as the gentle named storm Desmond was hitting the Isles. It was middle of the afternoon but dark as midnight as I set off from the airport in my rental car in direction of Kilmichael. As I got closer to the destination, roads became rivers and I had to stop as the way ahead was closed. I called Nicole for help and a quarter of an hour later she arrived with her dinghy (or was it a car?) to save me and guide me through tortuous single lane tracks to the safe haven of … Sunshine cottage! Of course I hadn’t chosen the South of Ireland in December looking for sun and was simply hoping for a comfortable, quiet and cosy space for myself to retreat from everything (well almost everything). And that is exactly what I found. Nicole and Nick were particularly kind and helpful. Always keen to give some tips, share their experience of the local way of life and supply me with home-made jam, biscuits and more. Quite simply perfect hosts. The cottage was well equipped, very clean and is a good base - if you have a car - to visit the numerous attractions and astonishing natural sites of Southern Ireland (Inchydoney beach on a luminous winter day being a must). I stayed a week and left with the aching feeling that I would have been happy much longer.

Moira and Anne were lovely hosts and made us feel very welcome in their home! The room/kitchen/bathroom were as described, and although we didn't use the sitting room, it would have been a very calming and homey space to relax in. Moira's homemade bread was delicious, and we appreciated the hearty breakfast provided by the hosts both mornings we were there. They also gave a great recommendation on a place to grab dinner, as well as sights to see in the area and on the next leg of our trip. The area they were in was also beautiful, and even when we got lost on the way to dinner, it provided a beautiful, scenic route which we were happy to have been able to see. Thank you for the wonderful stay, and hope to see you again next time we're in Ireland!

It was a pleasure stay with Moira and Áine. We very much appreciated their openness and welcoming home. Unfortunately, the internet connection did not work at all during the three days we stayed. Nonetheless, it was a great stay overall.

Moira and Ann were fantastic hosts! They made us feel right at home and after a long day of traveling we would come back and frequently have great conversation over a cup of hot tea! They were even so kind to cook us a home made meal one night while we were there! The area was very scenic, and although requires a car, is a close drive to Cork!

Moira is a wonderful host. Before we arrived she gave us hints where to go and stop on our way to her house. She knows a lot about beautiful places in the area and loves to share her knowlege. Moira was very welcoming, friendly and is a warmhearted person. She showed us the wonderful room and the bathroom which is a shared bathroom with a beautiful big shower. She has got two lovely and friendly dogs. We had a nice chat. Moira was very interested about our journey and gave us advice for the next day. She gladly took her time for us. She is a wonderful host, who loves to have people around. And the selfmade bread for breakfast is just delicious. I can absolutely recommend this airbnb. Would come back anytime.

It has been a very nice experience! The room is exactly as you see in the pictures and the family is just lovely! The views of the lake are amazing and my son has even fished there....what made it even better! Trust him about where to go....he told us about very nice places.

Mark is a great Host and his house is in a great location with an awesome view and a lot of things to do. We had a lovely night sleeping very comfortably and he was very nice helping us to settle and get ready again in the morning. I'd come back any time.

This was an absolute gem to find. The location is breathtaking. Mark was an incredible host! He went out of his way with everything, even to the extent that he ordered and picked up dinner for us, as we were running very late after a long days driving. He was a brilliant host, one of a kind! His home is warm and welcoming and we highly recommend it to all.

Beautiful location lovely family. We have three children aged 5,10 and 12 they enjoyed a walk by lake, playing in the gardens and loved the family dog Francis.

The whole family is awesome! The place is very comfortable and clean. Everyone is welcoming and friendly and I highly recommend staying here! The view of the lake across the house is fantastic and it's very peaceful.

Trust yourself, you are right if you drive out of inchigeelagh and drive exactly 2.3 kilometres. If you see an old caravan you are right. :) Mark was so nice! we couldnt find any hostel in Cork sn around, so we asked him at 10pm, if he we could stay the following day at his place and he helped us out. His place is just amazing!

Marks home was completely charming. Not to mention his family made us feel at home and very welcomed. They are wonderful people with a beautiful home. Thank you for sharing it with us, I couldn't have asked for more.

Cathal was great! He communicated very well before and during our stay to make sure we had no issues. He also asked us what we were interested in visiting/doing in the area prior to our arrival and provided a customized welcome package with restaurants, sites, and activities nearby. It is always nice to get recommendations from a local and we really enjoyed some of his suggestions. He made it easy to get to the farm by sending a (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) map pin that we just plugged into our gps and he also welcomed us with a fire in the fireplace, a bottle of wine, and produce/eggs from his farm. The farm house is lovely. It has an antique and rustic feel but with all the modern amenities and remodeling. It has a great view of the green countryside, hills, and river. The kitchen is well equipped and we used it to cook breakfast and dinner a few days. We really enjoyed the open area with the fireplace to hang out in the evenings. All the rooms are very nice and comfortable and the shared bathroom is large. The location is also central for visiting Kerry and Cork sites and Dunmanway is a cute small town with grocery store, restaurants, and pubs. We had a great visit and would definitely go back! From the beginning Cathal was engaged with every possible detail and was very thoughtful and catered to our needs. The email communication was timely and spot on. He specifically helped with some fatastic suggestions on things to see and do. The house was incredible, and even better than described. It was exceptionally clean, stocked with fire wood, fresh meat/veggies, and all of the expected necessities. (and then some) He met us with a fire already going, and provided a quick orientation of the house. It not only has spectacular views in the secluded countryside, but is centrally located for some great exploration of Southern Ireland. We look forward to a return trip one day soon. Thanks!

Organic Haven is a delightful place to stay in and I would highly recommend it. The cottage is full of character, beautifully and tastefully decorated and situated in a picturesque farm setting with restful views. It is ideally positioned so that it easy to explore the sights of West Cork and Kerry such as Clonakilty, Skibereen, Gougane Barrra and Garnish Island and Sheep's Head Peninsula and the Ring of Kerry. Cathal was an attentive host and left no stone unturned. He left a helpful guide for the local area as well as wine, chocolates and eggs from the resident hens and delicious honey also produced on the farm. He was very attentive during the stay. I hope to return to the cottage again. It was a really unique place to stay.

This thatched roof home is straight out of a fairy tale. The attention to detail and love that Cathal showed when he lovingly restored his families home shines throughout the house. I really enjoyed all of the special features of the home all the way down to the unique vintage water closet. Flushing took a bit of a learning curve for my family! Lol. The time we spent on the property was quiet and relaxing, and the house had everything we needed to cook and prepare meals, and wash laundry. Cathal was so warm and welcoming on check in and even left some yummy treats for us. The farm honey was just what I needed in my tea after a long day of travel. All the beds were comfortable and it reminded me of sleeping over at my great grandma's house with the heavy down comforter and vintage metal bed frame. Do yourself a favor and stay here and make sure you get a good long soak in the claw foot tub! Thank you Cathal for a wonderful vacation!

We enjoyed a lovely 3 day stay in Cathal's house while attending the National Rowing Championships. Cathal seems to be a very particular host and his house reflects this. A wet and windy weekend but we were dry and warm under a thatched roof with underfloor heating and a wood burning stove. The house is beautifully designed and furnished and our host, Cathal, made us very welcome. This is a great getaway from it all house, very spacious, in a beautiful part of Ireland with good access to the coast and Cork city. Highly recommended

We had the most amazing time at Cathal's farm. He was an incredible host stocking the house with food and wine upon our arrival and even providing a customized itinerary for points of interest in the area. The home is impeccable and the craftsmanship within this authentic Irish stone cottage is awe inspiring. The experience we had was first class all around and I couldn't recommend Cathal and his home more highly.

Cathal epitomizes what it means to be a host. He welcomed us into his home, had stocked the fridge, made a fire, had a bottle of wine waiting. He even provided bones for our dogs. His home is the perfect remote getaway... and comes complete with a cow and her newborn calf. It was a perfect break. Thank you for your hospitality Cathal !!

The room and house are perfect for people traveling around this area - room was very clean and everything went OK with us, even having booked in the arrival day. Breakfast is also perfect and unusual in AirBnB. Geraldine is really friendly, helpful and and interested in solving all our issues. A+++

Sometimes a great notion-and that was what happened when we chose to stay with Geraldine and Dennis. Absolutely wonderful hosts and a grand place to stay. Perfect location, exceptionally clean and more than we could have expected. Too bad we couldn't stay longer. Macroom was so friendly and beautiful. Our stay was a highlight of our tour of Ireland.

Upon our arrival we were welcomed into the house with refreshments and friendly conversations. Very hospitable! Our hosts were great conversationalists and gave us recommendations for restaurants and for seeing Ireland. We only stayed one night, but we really felt at home. It was a central location and walking distance to the city center. They left a beautiful breakfast on the table for us in the morning- we only stayed for one night but we would definitely come back:)

Amazing house in a great little town, a lovely couple, everything was perfect at this place! :) Geraldine made us feel right at home, was very flexible (we needed an early check-in), made tea for us right away and was just all around a great host along with her husband Dennis. The breakfast was more than abundant, just what we needed before a long day of travelling. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Geraldine and her husband met us at the front door as we pulled up. They were a lovely couple and help us settle in and mentioned a few places to go to eat. The neighbourhood was very quiet and lovely. It was nice to wake up each morning to the quiet of the neighbourhood.

We were greeted warmly by Geraldine with a cup of tea and chat. She gave us good advice about where to have dinner and directions. We only had a very short walk to the town so that was great after a day driving around. We were very comfortable during our stay and enjoyed a fantastic breakfast before setting off again on our travels.

Geraldine made us very welcome from the moment we arrived at her home. The listing was very much as described in the Airbnb site. Geraldine welcomed us with tea and chocolate cake and made a lovely breakfast for us. The house is very safe, quiet and convenient to the town. We felt very much at home and would recommend Geraldine's home, if you are staying in Macroom overnight or longer.

An absolutely lovely house and fantastic place to spend a very calm and easy holiday. Each room has a bathroom and the kitchen is great. Not easy to find and rather remote, but great experience.

Pearse made every effort to make sure we found the house easily and was was attentive thoughout our stay. The house is big and very well furnished with a lovely kitchen. Plenty of bathrooms as well. You do need a car though as the house is fairly isolated but therefore very quiet. Highly recommended.

This house was great. Really comfy with the kitchen a great place to prepare meals and socialise too. I would recommend staying here if you are looking for that extra bit of luxury. Pearse was also really helpful and quick at replying with any communications. The wildlife surrounding the house was also and added bonus. We would definitely love to go back.

Pearse gave us excellent directions to his wonderful home and was was quick to respond to our quires. The property is as beautiful as it is depicted in the listing. If anything Pearse understates how lovely the setting is. Tranquil country setting to be enjoyed from a modern spacious home. Fantastic kitchen!!!! A great place to enjoy some time in West Cork.

Glenvale is stunning, and we feel lucky to have stayed there and been hosted by Pearse, who was so friendly and helpful. The house is the perfect location to explore beautiful coastal towns of Cork and further. The nearest town is a few miles away, so very easy to drive to, and the setting in the Irish countryside is the perfect place to relax with a glass of wine and a good book. The house itself is beautiful - it's warm, spacious with plenty of communal space and private space as well and an incredibly well stocked kitchen. Pearse's directions were easy to follow, and he met us and kindly left us with some food for the day. It was wonderful to have been visited by the rabbits and farm dogs as well! If you want to see rural Ireland and a gorgeous setting, this place is perfect.

Pearse' s house is great ! So spacious, modern and well equipped ! You will also appreciate the large bedrooms and their private bathroom. Pearse is a welcoming person, always available for information or advise.

Pearse met us on arrival and gave us a great welcome to their lovely house, with basic foodstuffs supplied and a bottle chilling in the ice-bucket. The house is big, bright, comfortable and warm. Four large bedrooms with modern en-suite bathrooms. Situated on farmland on a little country boreen about 6 km from the town, it’s a good place for a quiet country retreat, with a peaceful view out over farmland and woods, and bunnies frolicking in the field. Great summer sunsets from the conservatory. It’s well-situated for exploring all over West Cork if you don’t mind driving, about 30 minutes to Clonakilty, Skibbereen or Bantry. Good wifi. Dunmanway itself is not a holiday destination, but has a selection of supermarkets and we ate good food a couple of times at the Southern Bar. Mostly we had leisurely dinners at home with a good bottle of wine and watching those sunsets (it only rained a couple of days). The open-plan kitchen is well supplied and a pleasure to prepare a meal there. We spent nine days in this house and really found it ideal for our needs, we are an older couple with other family couples visiting, and Pearse’s house felt like home from home.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Alice's barn, the views from the living area are delightful, and with the wood burning stove the place gets nice and cosy. It is close to Dunmanway for shops and pubs yet has a nice rural feel. We would recommend staying at Alice's any time.

The house was perfect, fully equipped and extremely cute. The only thing we missed was a pub on walking distance, but if you're looking for some peace and quiet this is a great location.

We had such an amazing week in Ballyhalwick Barn. Alice and her husband were very friendly and helpful. My daughter got to collect the eggs and we could see how the cows were milked. The stay at Alice's was very pleasant. The very cozy renovated barn is close to Alice's own house; she proved very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed and more. She also gave us suggestions on what to visit and what to do. The small town close-by is nice and provides everything you need for a living. Surroundings, of course, are also wonderful.

Perfect. Alice is the sweetest person and her accommodation is very well located. She welcomed us with some cookies which were very appreciated after the long ride WE had. We didnt see her or her husband much because we were on the road all day making the most of it but you can tell that they care. So much that Alice gave us like 3 pages full of info on what to see and where to eat. We were blown away by all the beautiful scenery and will hopefully be back soon with our daughter this time. She'll get along well with Sammy their friendly dog. Thanks so much Alice.

Was great! very relaxing and peaceful

Alice was very helpful and friendly, we enjoyed being out on a farm but yet very close to the town which had all amenities. Good spot we travelled to Cork and visited area along the coast one day and then headed east and drove the Bears Peninsula all easily achievable from here. The apartment was well equipped had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Thank you Alice.

Neasa was the perfect host and a genuinely warm and friendly person. She (and her family) made us feel truly at home and was so kind and loving to our family. AND she even watched our two young boys for a few minutes so my husband and I could sneak in a peaceful breakfast during our stay (that truly is going over and beyond). A most beautiful area. The house is very modern, clean. It's quite a rural area so not a lot of choice in Shops and restaurants. We brought our food,wine with us.Nessa has a little lodge as well as rooms in the house so choose the ones you want. Neasa did provide tea,coffee, fruit, breakfast. A lovely experience.

A true gem: fantastic location for nature lovers, beautiful views starting at the breakfast table, tastefully decorated rooms and a host who really went out of her way to make us feel at home in every respect, from tipps and suggestions over spoiling us to the odd game of table tennis or Pool with the kids. We'll definitely be back some time!

We were the first visitors have booked this property has AirBnB! The contact and care in the B & B was good. The rooms were very clean and the food in the restaurant was perfect.

Carla is very sweet and welcoming. It gives knowledgable travel. It is very available to help us and make our stay enjoyable. The accommodation is beautiful large and clean. Too bad there have no hob or microwave. It is also annoying that housing does not lock (single communicative corridor on Carla's apartment).

Had a great stay at Carla's. This is a lovely clean apartment in a great location, close to local attractions, like Gougane Barra, and a perfect base to explore West Cork and Kerry. Highly recommended.

Carla's apartment was a perfect place for myself, my husband, and my two toddler girls to stay. It is quiet and tranquil and watching the sheep traverse the fields on both sides of the house is a treat. Carla went Or of her way to acquire a travel cot for our littlest and had a lovely selection of food for breakfast. If we happen to be here again we'll stay in a heartbeat.

Carla went above and beyond to make our stay in West Cork memorable and highly enjoyable, ranging from the glasses of whiskey that were poured upon our arrival to her organizing and leading us to one of the more hidden sights, a beautiful set of ruins and waterfalls. The rooms were light, well maintained and provided a beautiful view in the morning. The amount of research Carla did for our walks in the neighborhood was extensive and really useful. Additionally, the breakfast she prepared was not only fully organic, but also exceeded expectations when it comes to quality and quantity! Would absolutely recommend staying with Carla and her two lovely cats, as they make you feel at home and will definitely send my friends her way + consider coming back! Maria & Casper PS: Carla is an amazing painter/artist, so take a look at some of the artwork hanging and she is great company so be sure to get to know her a bit as well.

Carla made us very welcome from the moment we arrived. The breakfasts were healthy, complete with great breads, fruit and choice of eggs. The breakfast conversations were interesting & leasurely. She was knowledgable of the region and the places to walks with pets.

Liney was not around when I arrived but Jackie made me feel very welcome, showed me around the house and explained everything to me. The cottage is absolutely gorgeous and I felt at home from the moment I set my foot into the door. Cozy and lovingly furnished, the bed is fantastically comfortable and the fireplace just wonderful. Liney and Jackie were always available when I had a question and they were ever so friendly and welcoming. I felt very well looked after.

Very cute cottage in a pretty garden with very family friendly cat and dog. The place was spacious and the kitchen had everything you'd need for a decent stay. The hosts were lovely and the delicious scones were a bonus treat.

We stayed at Liney's place with our 4 year old girl for three nights and it was just perfect. The cottage was exactly as described, very comfortable with everything you would need. The area so beautiful and peaceful. You would need a car as it's in the middle of nowhere which was exactly what we wanted. Liney was a perfect host, always there happy to give you any information if needed. Liney has friendly pets that were a highlight of our daughter's stay :) We would definitely recommend this place and would stay there again :)
