Fantastically well appointed flat in a fabulously beautiful location. The apartment block is a great conversion offering lovely space for this trip with friends. The Yorkshire Bridge pub is handily close and your right in amongst some of Peak Districts great reservoirs and Moors. Great price and would def consider a return trip!

This great apartment is a part of a converted pumping station so has some nice features that add to the character of the place. Located right next to the Ladybower reservoir so it's ideal for hiking. Keith and Helen have been communicative and helpful hosts

Had a wonderful Easter break at Peak Lodge. 1st class accommodation in a fantastic location. Apartment was very well equipped, spacious and extremely comfortable. Nice pub opposite if you dont fancy cooking, great walks on your doorstep and if weather is good have a wander up to Bamford Edge, incredible scenic views especially towards Ladybower reservoir. We have no hesitation in recommending Peak Lodge and hope to return in the future at some point.

This apartment is located in a wonderfully scenic position. A stones throw from the Lady Bower Reservoir. It is close to Castleton and not too far from Bamford, Hope or Hathersage villages. Both have great restaurants. Although there are a couple that are a very short walk from the apartments. The apartment has two double rooms, Lounge with Kitchen Diner, family bathroom and ensuite shower in the master bedroom. Overall it is spotlessly clean with towels provided. Fran is great at communicating and providing local tips. The place felt really secure with security coded gates and main entrance. This may be a little pricier than other properties in the area but it is worth it for the comfort, privacy and location.

We stayed three nights at Ladybower Hideaway over the Bank Holiday weekend, and it really was the perfect hideaway for our stay in the beautiful Peak District. The apartment was fantastic. It was spotlessly clean, and Fran had provided everything we would hope to find in a rental property, and more! The apartment was very spacious, private and contemporary. It has two very large bedrooms (both with very large and luxurious beds) and two bathrooms (one an ensuite). The kitchen was large and very well equipped – you can easily cook your own meals should you wish to. There is a spacious open plan living/dining area with windows that look out onto the bush, where you can watch the numerous birds and squirrels darting about. We loved the location! Close to some lovely little villages for local shops and restaurants etc (5 minutes drive away) but also nicely tucked away in a country corner, which made for a welcome escape from busy city life. Only a few minutes walk from the picturesque Ladybower Reservoir, the apartment is perfectly situated for many of the great hikes in the area. We spent a day walking along the water and up onto the moors... Lost Lad, Back Tor and along the Derwent Edge. We followed a walk on "The Walking Englishman" website called "Ladybower Reservoir and Derwent Edge" which we highly recommend! ((SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) it!) There are also a couple of decent country pubs within walking distance of the apartment, so you don't have to get in your car to find a place for dinner if you don't want to. Unfortunately we didn't get to meet Fran in person, as she was also away for the Bank Holiday weekend. However, her communication was excellent and she seems like a really lovely person. A brilliant and very accommodating host. I can not find fault with this lovely Ladybower Hideaway and definitely recommend that you book it asap!

Fran has a lovely and welcoming place to stay. She gave lots of clear instructions and it was easy to find. The place has everything you could need to make yourself comfy and extra big beds. We had a lovely few days stay here. It was a great starting point for walking.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars for cleanliness! Fran's apartment is absolutely spotless. The bedrooms are huge and beds are very large and comfortable. The kitchen is also well-equipped if you want to do some cooking. The compound is very safe as well, with several layers of security to get in to the apartment. We had a very good stay at Fran's place, she is also very easy to communicate with and very responsive. We would definitely recommend this place!

Had a wonderful time at Fran's gorgeous apartment. There is really nothing missing - the apartment is warm, spacious, very clean and provides all you will need for a break. I could easily live in it. Fran was very communicative before and during our stay, easily available when I needed to contact her. The area is a lovely place for a break (or to live - wishful thinking). There are plenty of great pubs within a short distance: the Yorkshire Bridge across the road has great food and service; the Ladybower Inn about 20 minutes away is also good; and the Anglers is 20 minutes away in Bamford village, a community pub and cafe, which has great pub food but also extremely good breakfasts - definitely a must go. I cannot recommend Fran's apartment highly enough. Thanks!

Lovely, spacious, warm apartment with well equipped kitchen, good WiFi, helpful books and maps of the area, and comfy beds. A nice welcome pack of wine and biscuits was also provided. We found the building very quiet (so nice to be able to sleep with the windows open) and the area great for hiking and visiting local villages. Good pub opposite too. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the Dark Peaks.

Fabulous flat, bigger than I expected and with all the things you could need for your stay. Communication with Sarah was prompt and easy, all the information required for access to the property was clear and easy to follow. The location is perfect, right next to a local pub and the beautiful Ladybower Reservoir. We stayed over Xmas so it was ideal for our family Boxing Day walk! The flat is clean and finished to a high standard. We also really appreciate the last minute arrangements that Sarah allowed as it meant we could have a lovely Xmas with our family up in Derbyshire. Sally was waiting at the time we had agreed, very welcoming and showed us round the house, answered any questions we had and made us feel at home everything was as expected and we send her a text in the morning to thank her for having us at her property. couldnt ask for any more.

The location was really convenient, right by the train tracks. The room was small but functional with comfortable furnishings. Sally was very kind and helpful showing us maps of the area and good information on where the good walks were. She also let us drop off our bags early, before check in, so that we could go for a walk right away! The only area for improvement was cleanliness, the room's floors were slightly dirty with dust and hair, and the tops of the dresser and shelves had a coating of dust on them. The bathroom floor was also rather dirty. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets were clean.

Sally was amazing! The room was cosy, the house is located in the best place and Sally is a fantastic host! We came in october and the temperature dropped quickly, she even put the heating on for no extra charge. She also let us know if others were coming in the house and she knew the Peak District by heart! She gave super recommandations! She is just a lovely person (with an amazing life-story)!

Charlotte was a wonderful host and the apartment was like a home from home. It was spotless with lots of room for bags and space to relax. The kitchen had everything we could possible need as well as an excellent coffee machine! The bathroom was very clean with a lovely shower. And the bedroom had a large wardrobe and a very comfortable bed! Finally the location was perfect for days out walking as well as being close by to a variety of pubs and cafes - great for when you don't feel like cooking! Overall I loved staying here and can't wait for my next trip back again!

A lovely cosy and quiet self-contained apartment within the hosts' home (access by side door rarely used by the hosts). Fantastic location in beautiful Castleton with a view of the castle from the living room. Couple of minutes walk to pubs, restaurants and shops. Castelton is surrounded by fantastic walking and cycling routes. Very well equipped, tastefully decorated and everything high quality. Charlotte was very friendly, welcoming and communicative. Charlotte and Stuart made us feel very welcome from the moment we booked, with helpful instructions and ideas about what to do in the Peak District. Our welcome continued throughout the weekend, even lending me a waterproof jacket as I had left mine at home! They very much faded into the background and we felt we were all alone for the weekend which was lovely, knowing they were only a doorknock away for advice. Castleton is small, and a great base for some lovely walks through the hills and a pub dinner in the evening.

Charlotte is a wonderful host and the flat is the perfect spot to explore the Peak District. It's cozy, clean, quiet, with a very comfortable bed and lovely hot shower. It's a quick walk to many pubs and restaurants, and close to the start of loads of interesting walking trails and bike rides. Charlotte has great suggestions for both, if that's something you want to do on your visit.

We spent a long Halloween weekend at Three Roofs with our two young children. Great location, comfortable bed, accommodation compact but sufficient, great standard overall. Initially we we were a little surprised with the fact that the cottage turned out to be located in the centre of Castleton, right next to a busy road and the Visitor Centre, and we found the external Airbnb photograph of the cottage set against green rolling hills slightly deceptive in that regard. However, the area turned out to be not only quiet but very charming and the location in the end worked great for us - as a central starting point of walks to most local attractions, caves and trails, great selection of good pubs and restaurants at virtually at the doorstep, and even as a strategic spot for our boys for trick&treating together with local children on the Halloween evening! We did not get to meet Lee in person but everything was prepared and in perfect order for our arrival and whenever we needed anything staff at the cafe downstairs was always happy to help.

We had a very nice stay at Lee's accommodation in Castleton. It's small but comfortable, centrally located for great walking and for restaurants and pubs, and it was easy to get around the area by train and bus. Lee was especially helpful booking us taxis to and from the nearby train station and was quick to respond when we had a question about the TV. Would definitely recommend!

Our stay at the Three Roofs holiday rental was absolutely fantastic. The space was perfect for our weekend of walking around the Castleton area including a trek along the beautiful ridge to Mam Tor via Lose Hill! Lee was very prompt with any questions, and everything was made to very welcoming and, my favorite part, very easy. I highly recommend staying in Lee's property for anyone looking for a small getaway location in the wonderful Peak District.

Lovely stay and a wonderful location. One point of caution, you must walk through the bedroom to get to the bathroom which if, like us, you have a young baby can be awkward if they are asleep. Recommend the Bull pub just opposite for a late afternoon glass of wine enjoying an amazing view

Brilliant cosy apartment in a great location. Has all the facilities you could require and anything else you might need is available within walking distance at very accessible times for a small town. No shortage of places to eat, including a nice cafe 10 feet from the door. Taking a walk around the surrounding peaks is amazing and offers some very rewarding views and also some fascinating caverns to explore. For enjoying the surrounding area, I feel you'd be hard pressed to find a more relaxing home for the holiday and at a very fair price. Very happy with all encountered

We had a wonderful few days staying at Gramps's exquisite home. Debbie was a great host, the cottage was extremely cosy with a most welcoming log burner blazing away for us on our arrival. The description of the coat take is very accurate and is in a perfect position to walk, visit local towns and villages and Chatsworth is literally a short drive away. Thank you Debbie for making us so welcome. The wifi is also extremely quick, should you need to use it.

Perfect space for one or two. Provided a ideal base for me to explore old haunts in the Peak District in between catching up with family. Beautiful view from the dining table, amazingly comfortable bed (the fairy lights are a sweet touch) and the kitchen is well-equipped, great shower and overall a warm cosy space. I would definitely try to stay here again the next time I am back in England.

This is a lovely place to be. None of us really wanted to leave. There was plenty of space for us (2 adults and 3 children aged 10,11,12). The apartment is beautiful appointed and has everything you could need. I would 100% recommend staying here. The place is lovely and Kate was a fantastic host.

Just returned from a great trip to Derbyshire Peak District, staying at Phil and Sarah's very modern, comfortable flat in Litton.They are wonderful, hospitable hosts, not intrusive, but offering help and useful information when needed,to make a visit as enjoyable as possible. The flat is private, with it's own entrance and access to a delightful garden and terrace - perfect for sitting out with a glass of wine at the end of the day. The flat itself is very well equipped and the fridge was thoughtfully stocked with milk and other items, which was much appreciated on our arrival. The flat has a comfortable bed, and an excellent shower in the downstairs private bathroom. Litton is a lovely little village with easy access to walks and to Chatsworth and other key sites.There is a great local pub serving good food and is an easy stroll from the flat. We very much enjoyed our stay and have no hesitation in recommending Phil and Sarah's place to other airbnb members.

An excellent space, cosy and tastefully decorated. Beautifully clean and suited us (mid-twenties couple) perfectly for the few days we were there. Attentive hosts, yet they allowed us the space to feel as though we had our own space for our stay. We walked every day we stayed and explored some of the truly scenic areas around. Our stay at the Cotton Loft was lovely. It was a perfect spot for our short break and first experience of the peak district. Steve and Julie were both so friendly and helpful, check in was quick and efficient and we had everything we needed. The guest guide had loads of helpful information and there were even books, games and DVDs for those down moments. I would 100% recommend and happily come again!

My son and his girlfriend really enjoyed their short break in Litton. The studio apartment was very comfortable and well placed to enjoy the surrounding countryside. The owner, Julie was a thoughtful and hospitable host.

This place is perfect! A simple check in with everything explained and some useful labels if we forgot. A great handbook which offers walks and food outlet suggestions. Great selection of teas/coffees with board games and DVDs to spend a few hours during the evening. We’d definitely recommend the Cotton Loft to anyone looking for a cosy and clean place to stay in and around the Peak District. Julie & Steve were brilliant hosts and we couldn’t have asked for more. Very cosy and comfortable loft with great shower room and small kitchen area with everything you need for a short stay. Julie and Steve - and their son Dan, were so welcoming and the nearby pub was lovely too - need to get there in time for some food next time! We were only visiting for a wedding so didn't get to appreciate the surrounding area as much as we should have done, but it's right in the middle of a stunning part of the UK, very much recommended for a short stay when travelling around the UK.

This is a spacious, comfortable and peaceful place to stay and the host went out of her way to look after us, we thoroughly recommend it.

Ella's studio was well-furnished, clean, quiet, and had everything I needed for my work trip (including a steam iron and board, and all kinds of pots and pans and kitchen utensils). The highlight of my stay was the hospitality I received: there was food available (eggs, milk, jam, bread, ...), and the host let me borrow a mountain bicycle to ride in the Peak District, and even prepared a backpack for me with water and mandarins. Ella's studio occupies the space above the detached garage of Ella's home. It has an independent entrance and there is a beautiful backyard. It is in a very quiet and green part of town. It took me about 30 minutes door-to-door to get to the Town Hall by bus (the bus stop is a couple of minutes walk from the studio). The non-central location was for me only a small inconvenience, more than compensated by the restful environment and the ample kindness of the host. I was happy to stay in Ella's studio.

Lovely quiet area in Fulwood, with everything that is needed close by (e.g. high quality supermarket, post office, hardware store, bus 120 direction city centre). In a 20 min. walk distance, you can see the beautiful fields of the English countryside around the Peak District. In a 5 min walk distance from the apartment there is a nice forest where to go walking or jogging. The apartment is beautiful and clean and it is fully equipped. The hosts are friendly, considerate and helpful. I stayed one month because I had to work in Sheffield and I felt really good there.

Ella and Jane were great hosts, Jane welcomed us and explained everything we needed to know about the place and the area. The flat is quiet and very nice, we had a lovely stay. During the day we mostly went hiking in the Peak District and usually walked straight from the flat into nature. They also left us with some fruit and food for breakfast which we really appreciated.

This studio was one of the best places I've ever stayed for my life time. I would like to describe this studio a perfect place for those who love a quiet and independent lifestyle. I was fascinated with beautiful wooden furniture and well-equipped kitchen facilities at this studio. Also, there was a beautiful garden in front of the studio. Over the last 4 weeks, I relieved my stress and had a pleasant time at this room. I strongly recommend this studio to those who read this review.

Me and my husband stayed at Ella's studio flat for the weekend. Booking the flat was quick and easy. Ella responded without delay to confirm the booking. Check-in and check-out was very flexible. Ella even provided us with a cake at arrival and breakfast of our choice. We would defo stay here again!

We have just returned home having spent 2 wonderful days in Sheffield. Chrissie and David made us feel so welcome from the beginning - we arrived to the smell and warmth of freshly baked bread! They were always on hand to answer any questions we had and had lots of suggestions for food and walks in the local area. The flat was incredibly cosy, beautifully decorated and wonderfully comfortable. The underfloor heating was particularly luxurious! The views across the garden and to the hills beyond was a real treat to wake up to. Wonderful hosts who made us feel very welcome! Location is very convenient for access to both the Peak District and Sheffield. Flat is very comfortable and generous breakfast and refreshments were provided during our stay. Best nights sleep I had had in days! Beautiful garden with lovely views and hosts were happy for us to make ourselves feel at home. Will definitely stay here again if we return to Sheffield and nice to think our money has gone to a charitable cause.

We have just returned from our stay in Sheffield with Chrissie and David having had a wonderful first Airbnb experience. The accommodation surpassed what we expected by a long way; it is spacious, warm, beautifully decorated and extremely well equipped. There are shelves full of interesting books and the most amazing view from the window, which, having arrived in the dark, was a wonderful sight in the morning light. Chrissie and David were very welcoming, despite our late arrival, and greeted us with kindness and a fresh loaf of homemade bread! We were provided with all we could have wanted for a delicious breakfast including fresh fruit, jam and marmalade. We will almost definitely stay here again when visiting family in the city and would wholly recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere beautiful and homely to stay.

Chrissie and David's place is situated in a lovely part of Sheffield, with the basement being cosy and the windows overlooking their wonderful garden. They were kind enough to provide us breakfast, as well as maps and recommendations for our visit to Peak District (the places recommended to us were magnificent). The best part? All proceeds goes into 2 charities of their choosing which shows them to be a generous family. If you are thinking of visiting Peak District, their place is highly recommended!

We had a wonderful weekend saying at Chrissie's residence. We were made to feel so welcome, and Chrissie even popped down on the Saturday morning to see if we needed a hairdryer or similar. The basement apartment is gorgeous - much bigger than we expected! With beautiful views out over the garden and countryside, and the sofa-bed was so comfortable - my boyfriend and I slept like a dream. Breakfast too was wonderful, with a great selection of cereals, fresh bread, jam and marmalade - and even a couple of Twixes to have with our tea/coffee. I cannot recommend this accommodation highly enough. We will certainly be visiting again, next time we come through to Sheffield.

Chrissie saved us at the final hour when we had to make a happy dash to Sheffield. What a helpful and caring host. She warmly welcomed us and even made sure we had supplies in the fridge and a fresh loaf of bread in the morning! The apartment is great. Lots of space and neat and tidy. The bed was especially comfortable. A good shower too. It’s a lovely part of the city to stay. Very peaceful and calm with a lovely view over to the hills.

Chrissie and Dave are really welcoming and lovely. The studio was perfect for a weekend getaway. It looks out over the beautiful Peak District and we had access to the hosts stunning garden. Chrissie had thoughtfully left is some really lovely bits for breakfast and the studio had everything we needed. Highly recommended.

I was made really welcome on my arrival. The selection of breakfast foods along with the apartment in such a wonderful location was going to make for a very comfortable stay. The neighbourhood was very quiet and picturesque.

Fantastic location. Extremely well equipped. Perfect for Chatsworth, Monsal Trail, Hope Valley, Bakewell etc. Children loved the games room, adults loved playing bowls. Would strongly recommend.

The apartment was a lot larger than it looked in the photos. The apartment was part of a larger water mill on a beautiful trail through the Peak District. We really enjoyed our stay and it was very relaxing. Easily accessible to lovely country pubs and main towns.

Lovely accommodation and area to stay in. Amenities really good. Close to monsal trail and various other walks. Would definitely visit again.

The apartment was as described and perfect for someone wishing to "get away from it all". It had 2 ensuite bathrooms plus a guest toilet, so no queuing up in the mornings for everyone. Loved the gorgeous views of the forest and the babbling stream from the huge windows in the sitting room and the open concept kitchen.

If you are looking for remote, quite and solitude this place is for you! Loved the sound of the water at night. Be sure and pick up groceries and supplies before you arrive in the area as there are not many options to choose from. The pics are accurate. The apartment itself is very large. A picturesque and quiet location with easy access to nearby trails and attractions. The apartment is spacious with an open plan kitchen and living room. Internet & TV is limited so bring books or dvds if desired. We would definitely stay here again.

We spent a (EMAIL HIDDEN)munication was very good - thanks to Richard’s detailed instructions in the email prior to our trip, the whole stay was seamless, from check-in to check out. The apartment is very spacious, comfortable and well equipped. There is even a cosy little reading nook with a view for book lovers:-) We loved the remote location (1 mile walk to the nearest pub:-) and the lack of phone reception (there is a landline in the apartment though, as well as WiFi) - perfect place to switch off. Great location for walks - some just round the corner (Monsal Trail), other within a short drive e.g. around 30 minutes drive to Edale for a circular walk on Kinder Scout or to Ladybower Reservoir. Lovely little towns nearby e.g. Castletown or Bakewell. Chatsworth House is not far away, too. Groceries shopping can be done in Tideswell about 10 minute drive from Litton Mill. To sum up, this place ticks all the boxes for a relaxing break if you are looking for quiet time far from it all. Would recommend.

A fantastic place to stay. Perfect location

Great location in the peaks, feels very secluded and cosy by the river but also close to Bakewell and the fantastic Chatsworth House. The apartment is so spacious, a real treat to spread out and enjoy the river views. We made Christmas dinner in the kitchen and found everything we needed, well worth a visit.
