Great hosts - clean, friendly and knowledgable about local activities. We were only here for a short stay, but James & Chiharu made us feel very welcome. Convenient location in regards to both driving and public transport. Would recommend to all others looking to stay in Oahu.

Very clean and comfortable room. The directions were very easy to follow. The house is just ouside of Honolulu, it is very close by car and though I did not use public transportation, the bus line to the house would have been very convenient if I needed to use it. The view outside the deck is very quiet and inviting. I highly recommend this stay for your base for exploring Oahu.

Great location, friendly hosts -- the lanai was a nice place to relax in the early morning and at the end of the day. Would definitely stay here again!

The place is located at a very convenient location. We had a rental car during our one-week stay and it was easy to get to most of the places on island within 20 min. It is better than staying at Waikiki beach where traffic is crowded and parking is outrageous. The balcony has a scenic view for Waikiki beach and skyline. James and Chiraru are very nice hosts and they made our stay very comfortable. We talked to James and know that James loves life and his many hobbies are very inspiring. Highly recommend this place to anyone and we would definitely consider coming back again!

Guests have their own bathroom including some amenities (no need to pack a hair dryer); the room with fan was quiet, including talk-y birds, shelving, fridge, and desk; note: I'm 5-foot and hubby's a bit taller, so the room suited us just fine; convenient laundry basement, especially after at the beach; use of the patio/kitchen, coffee maker, and table (near an outlet!) SPOILED me; I sat quite a few days in both areas, working; easy street parking (an uphill haul if you’re bussing it): I needed mine daily, but you CAN get by with partial-week car rental with this bus system and an adventurous ‘tude, all the way to many beaches; great bus location/times in a chummy neighborhood (Punchbowl); two miles from Downtown/Chinatown/theatre; meet the organic gardener, curious neighbor cat, and a frog. Both Chiharu and James are wonderful and accommodating hosts who know the island well and allow guests their space, making, for me, a relaxing yet productive stay.

We had a great time staying. Beautiful view, big, clean house. We only met Chiharu briefly and had all the space and privacy we could have asked for. Would recomend to my friends.

We had a nice stay at Kenn's place. He picked us up at 1.00 AM from the airport and showed us around in the apartment, which is fully equiped with everything you need to explore O'ahu, including snorkeling gear. The only downside is the noise of the cars on the highway. Ask Kenn for any type of advice and he'll make his way to make sure he helps you out. Thanks for everything Kenn! See you later.

Private entrance and full use of the place. Nothing fancy, but very clean and easygoing. Easy bus access but freeway noise might bother some people.

Kenn is a very friendly and welcoming host. He provides basic food, free wifi (fast) and Netflix as well as snorkel gear. He also gives you a lot of places where to go for food or night clubs as an example. The place is close to everything you need ( bus stops for the island, atm, groceries) Waikiki beach is only 9 minutes away. Me and a friend enjoyed 2 beautiful weeks here. The other 2 guys in the apartment were also really friendly. You have everything you need here as I have already mentioned. Great Stay! Thank you Kenn

I was with my sister there and we stayed at Kenn's apartment. It was very great there. Kenn and his girlfriend are very friendly and helpful, he picks us up from the airport and shows us a little bit of the city. He also give us a list with stuff, where we can go or recommend where to eat and this is really helpful if it's your first trip to Oahu. The apartment is not far away from Ala Moana center and there're a lot of different bus routes around or in walking distance from the apartment. We had everything what you need at the apartment. Kenn offers us towels, shower gel, shampoo, detergent if we want to wash our stuff, ect. All in one you don't have to bring so much stuff with. The bed is very cozy and suitable for 2. You have the Lunalilo freeway in front of you and it could be really loud, but for us it was not a problem and we slept there well. I can recommend this airbnb apartment for all people, who want to spend their money for other things than for an accommodation. In comparison with other apartments, it's not expensive and we had everything what we need there. It was a great experience and we would definitely stay there again :)

I would give Ari 100 stars if I could. Staying aboard her boat was the experience of a lifetime. Ari is such a warm and welcoming lady and makes the whole experience even better! I just returned home and already miss the gentle rocking of the boat as I go to sleep. The harbor is peaceful and secure with awesome views of Honolulu. The location makes most things walkable and Ari was always great about directions and suggestions. The deck area has lots of room for lounging and relaxing and/or making new friends with the other guests. My only caution would be if you cannot balance well enough to get in and off a floating boat this might not be a good fit. If you are looking for perfect relaxation without crowds or pretense you will love it! I can't wait to get back.

My delightful stay on Ari's boat was everything an older single woman traveler could hope for! Ari was graciously helpful and friendly, my berth was cozy and comfortable, and it was an easy walk to the beach, shops, and restaurants. It was especially lovely meeting the other guests on board. Instead of feeling lonely, I had the opportunity to make new friends! I will definitely stay here again. Thank you!

The boat was wonderful! Unfortunately Ari was out of town during my brief visit but Bailey was incredibly accommodating. Thank you for such a great experience, I would definitely stay on Ari's boat again.

Ari is a great hostess and the boat was exactly what I needed for a relaxing vacation. Boo Boo the cat was a great added bonus as I love cats and Boo Boo was so sweet and friendly! I wouldn't pass this place up if relaxation is what you need.

My stay with Ari and booboo had undoubtedly been one of the highlights of my trip to Hawaii. I was attending a conference in Honolulu and traveling around: the boat is equipped for literally everything. I could rent a bike, snorkel equipment, a cosy room and a deck where to watch night fall over Honolulu. Ari is a great host and lovely person so if you are thinking of staying here but aren't sure, I'll just say... You only live once!

Staying on the ship was a unique experience, which was definitely what I was looking for. It's tight quarters, not surprisingly, but since I was mostly onboard to sleep that wasn't an issue. Ari was very welcoming, and helpful for tips for exploring the area.

My experience on the "charismatic" wooden ship was nothing if not perfect! A spiritual sense of calmness was the highlight that left me, for the first time ever in my years of travel, not wanting to leave. From a warm welcome in a serene surrounding to a wonderful last dinner on the boat with Ari and her friends had me feeling totally relaxed. Being gently rocked to sleep at night safe in my berth to contemplative cups of coffee on the beach watching the waves roll in...transformative.

Very nice! It felt like an old friend who I hadn't seen in a while, and got re-united with. A lot of trust goes into this type of thing-from both sides. So I was glad to be allowed to share this most personal part of someone's life...their home.

Clean, compact apartment with balcony and excellent bathroom. While we didn't use the kitchen, it was well stocked with utensils and cooking wares. Overall a great stay for a few days!

Aj was very accommodating. Often checked to see if I needed anything. Needed to make a Ross return and he offered to take me. (I looked over and he had a basket full of home furnishings. LOL Stay outta Ross Aj) He was so very kind to call and ask if I needed a ride from the beach as rain was threatening. His place is clean and affordable and location is key. I'd definitely stay at Aj's place again.

Aj is an AMAZING host!!!! First off his place is Very Clean and he makes you feel right at home. Super friendly and always willing to help with any tourist questions :). Secondly, great location, central to all main attraction, but suggest you rent a car to get around. Aj had a pickup truck for us to rent, which is great since you don't have the hassle to deal with returning it at a different location. Be advised sounds from the highway can be heard from the room. Bring ear plugs if your a light sleeper. I highly recommend this place!!!

I had a very peaceful time at AJ's place. The room was quiet & clean, which was exactly what I wanted. It was walking distance to everything in Honolulu that I wanted to visit as well.

The place was in great shape. Wish I was staying there longer because he was adding more things to the apartment. Overall, the place was very organized and clean. AJ was a great host and I would recommend everyone to stay there. As an added bonus, AJ is an Uber driver, so if you need to get anywhere, he could definitely get you there.

Aj's apartment is nice! The guest room and the common area are very clean and tidy which I appreciated most. Overall I enjoyed my stay. It was easy to come and go whenever I wanted. Walking downtown is possible (1 mile). The negatives are limited parking spaces, loud traffic noise and no air conditioning. AJ was so generous to let me use his parking slot in front of the apartment building. Ear plugs are needed to get a good night sleep if you are not used to the noise. Also, I was a bit surprised there was no air conditioning. It's a personal preference that I like to sleep cool.

Great apartment for the price! 2 fold out couches in the living room. 2 balconies overlooking the city with huge doors that allow tons of light inside. Great small kitchen fridge looks worn but it works well. Lots of towels, near the beach and downtown Waikiki. Restaurants and bars nearby as well as one in the building itself. ABC store on the corner and a boat harbor next door. Awesome apartment for the family with cable tv, strong wifi and netflix. A great stay!!

This is an excellent place if you want some peace and quite away from the hustle and bustle of the touristy areas and yet just a 7 minutes ride to downtown. The room and the house itself is very clean and maintained. The view is gorgeous and the place is quite and peaceful. Highly recommend this place for everyone.

Jen And Rob are wonderful hosts , so welcoming, warm hearts and attentive ... the house is really agreeable ,located in a peaceful area, in the morning we can enjoy the chanting of different kinds of birds and the house is surrounded by big trees with fruits ... what a wonderful place and a stay I'll keep in my memory and in my heart. I totally recommend to stay at Jen & Rob's Inn Rustique House ! :)

They couldn't do enough for us, we had tons of questions and they bent over backwards to make sure we got the most out of our trip. I wish we had stayed more than 2 nights!

WOW! I cannot find enough praise words for the reception we got from Rob & Jen, the hosts! They made us feel so welcome that we were regretful over not being able to spend more nights with them. The location was fairly close to the Bishop Museum and the King Kameamea HS (historic) and had great views of Honolulu and the mountains contributed to a magnificient backdrop. We recommend anyone going to Oahu to stay with Rob & Jen, even if only for a night. We will certainly be encouraging our friends and family to stay with them when they go to Hawaii.

Jen and Rob really have the hospitality thing down to a science! They are both lovely and welcoming individuals. They checked in with me frequently to make sure I had everything I needed before and during my stay. The room itself had many nice and unique touches. The location was great for me and fairly central to everything on the island. I would for sure stay again and recommend it to anyone travelling to Oahu.

I spent a week in Hawaii, and it was a really great time. Although I didn't have chance to meet Rene, but her friend welcomed me and helped me a lot during this time. The room is cozy and comfortable. The apt has more than enough household applicants. Both Rene and her fiend are very hospital and welcoming. The first I arrived Hawaii, I got cold and headache, they are very kindly to provide medicines and look after me. Once again, I'll definitely recommend this for all my friends!

Rene makes you feel right at home. She has covered all the bases from great communications to home-style comfort. Rene even went out of the way to accommodate a family member who flew in at the last moment. 5 stars all the way!!

Rene' is an awesome host and her home is very clean,spacious, and efficient. She takes the time to answer your questions about places to eat, shop, etc, and has very detailed (written) instructions for your stay. After getting off of a 10 hour flight, I just wanted to go to a place where I could rest. Rene's place exceeded my expectations! She had even written a welcome note for my door, left some awesome snacks and cold beverages(yummy!), and remembered that it was my birthday, which let me know that she genuinely cares about the comfort of her guests. I highly recommend her place if you are looking for somewhere that is walking distance or short driving distance to the city life or the beach.

Cosy and well equipped stay. Renee is a very thoughtful host and has truly considered every need and question of her guests. I loved being able to use beach towels, and any other item. The room was comfortable and well designed for travellers' needs. The location is about a 15 minute walk from downtown and a 45 minute walk from Waikiki which is important to know when booking.

René was very helpful and responded to every question I had. The room was small, but we quickly found out that it had everything in the room that you would need... Microwave, fridge, tv, etc. There was a couple sharing a room next to us and who we shared the bathroom with...they were so sweet and helpful- Brian even gave us a ride to enterprise! She was very considerate in every possible way. She always asked me how I'm doing and did everything she could, even with my schedule. highly recommended. The room looked just as how it's posted. I especially loved the bed and small refrigerator. :)

Olya and Orlando were very friendly and helpfull. They helped us mainly with check-in a baggage storage. Comunication before arriving was great.

Staying at Olga's place was just the best thing that could happen to us. They picked us up from the airport, gave us our own key for both doors, the door to our room and the main door to get into the house. The place was very clean and we had a great time. Even though the walk to the beach is kinda long, the location was at the perfect place for us. We had no problem going to several hiking spots, beaches or stores to buy some food and drinks. The busses depart near the appartement as well and if you want to save time, Uber is always a great and very fast solution... even cheaper than a taxi. I can't think about anything we have missed while staying with Olga - Thank you really much for all your advices and your local knowledge. You guys made our stay unforgettable.

Olya is a great host. Check in time and checkout are flexible. The room and washroom are very clean and spacious with comfortable bed. The location is safe and I was able to walked at night safely. I was there for a week for the conference at convention center. It was easy to get there, just 15 min walk. It is convenient to go anywhere. Olya and Husband are very nice guys , kind, friendly and supportive. Even they picked me up at the airport and drop me off too. It was really really nice stay. Thank you for everything. Would go back again........

Staying at her places was a blessing. Olya was very welcoming and kind since day 1. I felt like i was staying at a friends house. I absolutely enjoyed staying at Olyas place. The room was clean, bathroom was clean. Location is pretty close to all the hotels and near destinations for tours. so that made it even easier for me.The best part was that i got ride to and from the airport which was safe for me since i was doing a solo trip. Oyla and her husband are good hosts. I would totally stay at her place again if i come back to Hawai Mahalo, my new hawain word ! :)

It was a fantastic experience living in Julie's place. I stayed there for seven nights, every morning she shared with me her authentic Taiwanese breakfast which was so enjoyable that indeed made my day - the great view of the sunrise was a plus. She's such a kind and hospitable host that I would rather call her place "home" at Waikiki. The only thing you have to deal with at "home" is the noise from the street, which is inevitable also because of its great location - in the city center and close to the beach, but could be greatly reduced by wearing the ear plugs. Last but not least, Julie made my life in Honolulu so much easier by driving me to the supermarket, to the local restaurant, and to the airport. I really appreciate this memorable experience with Julie. 很幸運能住在Julie的住所。我在火奴魯魯住了七天,每天早上最期待也最滿足的就是Julie跟我分享的道地的台式早餐。吃著美美的早餐,看著高樓陽台外視野極好的日出景致,那已經是人生中最美好的時刻之一了吧。Julie是個很有心的主人,她為客人的著想,讓我覺得這是一個可以稱之為「家」的地方。不僅如此,她還最大程度的與人方便,開車帶我去超市買東西、帶我去當地人愛去的餐館體驗、還載我去機場趕飛機,對此我都非常之感激。唯一能夠指摘的地方,是來自街邊的噪音,但那是住在市中心所不可避免的,當然如果用上降噪耳塞就能很大程度的減輕噪聲對睡眠的影響,並且,Julie也是有考慮到這點,為客人備有降噪耳塞的。總之,非常感謝Julie,讓我有了彌足珍貴的旅程回憶。

As other guests have noted, Julie makes a special effort to help her guests get the most out of their time in Waikiki, and her culinary flair and enthusiasm is most appreciated in the morning! The view from the balcony of the sunrise over the canal is wonderful.

Julie will go the extra mile to be hospitable and helpful as a host. She knows the area well and likes to share her familiarity with Honolulu and Hawaii, in general. She helped me navigate the public transportation here. She also introduced me to Hawaiian papaya, which is awesome.

Julie was an awesome host, and yes that papaya is amazing. Her condo is close to bus routes (both the trolley and city lines) and tour companies will pick you up at the Gateway Hotel which is only a block away. The view from the 18th floor is awesome. If you're not accustomed to big city sounds and sirens, you may want to bring earplugs with you. Thank you Julie for sharing your culture and home.

Luiz was very accommodating, great personal testimony, like living a part of the local community! Even though my stay was short, it seemed as if I had known Luiz a lot longer.! He is a great host & person!

I stayed at Luiz's for almost 9 days and had a great time. Luiz was very helpful and is ready to help you from the moment you get off the plane. The room is compact but has everything you might need. About 20-25 minute walk from Waikiki and Downtown. There are buses but I quite enjoyed exploring by foot. If I'm lucky enough to return I would choose to stay here again

A great value for price, very friendly host and very flexible check in policy. He also opt to drive me to his place when I arrive in HNL whoch is very nice. Most importantly, he accomadate my last minute change in schdule which is super helpful. I will definately be around again!

Luiz's condo is small but functional. Having use of the small kitchen area allowed us to eat simple meals in when we didn't want to eat out. AC in our room allowed us to control the temperature to our liking, which was great. Room is small but you can get lots of stuff in there, and suitcases fit under bed(s). Luiz was very friendly and accommodating of our strange arrival and departure times, and very quick to reply to messages and questions.

Luis is a great host. He gave us a lot of advice on what to see and do while in Oahu. The location is also nice. Walking distance to food and a short drive to the beach.

I highly recommend this place. It's no luxury suite but everything was exactly as described. I felt safe and the staff is one of the nicest I ever got to meet. I happen to have a late checking as well as a late check out and they did everything to accommodate me. I will return there on my next trip to Honolulu. Thanks Plumeria for everything!

English is I can not be good, but it had been asked to care whether or not they like is the guided room, also, when the toilet flow becomes bad, it was thankful I correspond Richard himself quickly. Also your staff was a good mood me to feel free to say hello in a friendly.

I really enjoyed the Plumeria, the management was welcoming and took care of any concerns the same day. The people I shared an apartment with were very pleasant. It's about a mile walk to the beach, but very convenient in the middle of everything. A lot of options for food and bars. I liked being away from the tourist filled Waikiki. If you want a more "local" place to stay this is it. The neighborhood is safe to walk around at night. I never felt uncomfortable at a bus stop. If you are ok with sharing the common areas with others I would highly recommend this place over a hotel, because you actually get a full kitchen with pots and pans and everything for a fraction of the price. They also host a good size bbq every Saturday and it's free, I thought that was awesome.

This time it was a stay of purpose to receive the workshops, etc. rather than a tourist. There are also the effects of the weaker yen, general of hotel rooms are too high you might not be executed even this plan. Plumeria House of the neighborhood is very convenient for grocery shopping there is a supermarket open 24 hours a day, bus stop here and there go out to me near it was the best. Security also I was worried, but it is no problem if those who are familiar journey area. It is recommended for those who speak some English.

My stay at the Plumeria has been good. I arrived a bit early and was able to check-in around noon already. The location is convenient. It's a 10-15 minutes walk to Walmart and 20 mins to Waikiki. There are also plenty of bus stops nearby, which makes it easy to get around. I just met Richard once, but Sebastian was helpful as well. My room didn't have a TV and the kitchen lacked a toaster, but otherwise I was satisfied.

Convenient location. Close to the freeway, bus stops, shopping, and restaurants. Accessible to more touristy areas such as Ala Moana and Waikiki. Got along with other tenants with no problem and the listing description was accurate. The only con was that the sink area was usually full with used pots, pans, and dishes. But other than that, I am glad to have stayed at this apartment!

Great place, yes little busy but can't beat the location, space and price. Yao is wonderful to keep in touch and answer all questions.
