  • Wonderful place to stay! Adorable spacious apartment with homey touches and a helpful host.

    Alison2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Karen was the best host my dad and I could have ever asked for! She greeted us when we arrived, gave us a little tour, provided us with some breakfast food and home made cookies and even made a sweet welcome sign for us! The apartment was beautiful and cozy, and stocked well with everything we needed. When my dad cut his leg skiing and needed stitches, Karen helped us out a ton! She provided us with extra ice and baggies so my dad could ice his leg, and helped him get up the stairs. Very quick to respond and an absolute sweetheart! The apartment was roomy, super comfy and at such a great price! I wish I could give Karen 5000 *stars*!!

    Olivia2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • I’m an experienced Airbnber but Karen’s stood out for all the warm and special touches she offered from the homemade chocolate chip cookies to all the breakfast fixings to the sign welcoming us to the board games and movies to the notebook of suggestions. We prepared all our meals and the kitchen was well stocked. The beds were comfy and the place was quiet and welcoming in every way. Very close to Crotched Mountain where we skied. Highly recommended!

  • Mary had a nice, clean spot for a good place to rest. I was in town only for the night as I was taking a speciality test in Concord at a Prometric center. Only 10 minutes from the testing site. It was a good spot to get to bed early, take a warm shower in the morning, and have a cup of coffee. She had a nice selection of Keurigs and a refrigerator to keep food in overnight.

The toddler bed was perfect for our 4 y.o. as well as some toy available in the suite. There is a couch that was very comfortable to relax after a busy day. We appreciated thoughtful items for our use during our stay. The communication for the check-in was very clear and timely.

  • Jack & Sue’s cabin is so cozy and homey. We wanted to book a longer stay almost immediately after walking through the door. They live right next door on the property, but there are no shared walls and it still feels very private. We ate fresh eggs from their chickens in the morning and skied at Jay’s peak which is under 5 mins away. It’s a very small peak with inexpensive tickets and rentals, great night skiing. We stayed in and cooked one night and went to a local restaurant called Country Spirit the following night. Amazing food and incredibly friendly staff and locals. Thanks for having us Jack and Sue! Highly recommend!

  • Birchwood was a lovely, comfortable, and accommodating Airbnb directly next to Pats Peak making for an ideal skiing get away. The kitchen is plenty big and has everything you’d need to make meals for dine -in if you’re looking to keep your trip lower budget, but there are also some local spots our host recommended for dinning out. Our hosts were very friendly and had thought of everything you could possibly need for your stay with them including a portable space heater for the other rooms away from the bedroom where the main heating source is located. I would just suggest bringing slippers or thicker socks for walking around on the floors if you didn’t want to use the heater. Would (and hope) to stay here again in the future.

  • Great place for two-day ski in Pats Peak, only 5min walk distance. Clean kitchen and bathroom with full utilities. I think the basement can host 4 people at most. Thank Terrance to alarm us the snow storm and give us good advice. Highly recommend to live here!

  • Access to Pats Peak is within walking distance and great restaurants a short drive away. Terrance's home is really a great place to hang your hat for a few days. Peaceful and pleasant with great views to the mountain. We really enjoyed our stay here. Thank you!

Great location for skiers and outdoor enthusiasts. The rustic beauty of our getaway on French Pond has a peaceful ambiance and relaxing charm, but offers easy access to many area sites and activities.
Escape from the buzz of civilization and just relax in the private, wooded setting or experience a whole host of area activities and sites that are just a short ride away. Here is an email we received from a previous guest... "Our time at the pond was heavenly and provided a rest that we all really needed. Thank you for giving our family such a beautiful place to unwind and reconnect. My husband had been hesitant to leave his busy practice but after a couple of days realized he was in the exact right spot." Less than 1.5 hours from Boston, Henniker is a charming college town nestled along the Contoocook River with it's own covered bridge right at the village center. As you familiarize yourself with Henniker, you'll be delighted by the warm, small town atmosphere. Explore the quaint eateries, the century old pharmacy/toy shop or grab a bite at Intervale Farm Pancake House & Ice Cream Stand. In the colder months, you can enjoy winter fun at Pat's Peak Ski Resort just 5 miles from your doorstep! Entering the cottage, guests are greeted by floor-to-ceiling windows providing a panoramic view of the pond. The rustic entryway features the cabin's original hearth, vaulted ceilings and a bookcase filled with games, books and DVDs. Off the entryway, there is a full bath with shower. Moving into the cottage, the entrance opens up to a Great Room with open concept. The living room, furnished with a comfy overstuffed couch and chair, features a TV, stereo and BluRay/DVD player. Facing the pond is a bright and airy sun-room with wicker couch, chair and settee. The sun-room flows into the fully equipped kitchen with an expandable dining table (seats 8), refrigerator, stove, microwave, and coffeemaker. An oversized deck extends the entire length of the cottage with a large staircase which leads to the small, private beach area and dock. Below the deck are a canoe and kayak for guest use. Master Bedroom (sleeps 2): Queen bed, water view, attached 1/2 bath, walkout to deck, ceiling fan, TV/DVD player, closet and antique dressing table. Twin Bedroom (sleeps 2): Two twin beds and antique dresser. This room also features a water view, walkout to deck and ceiling fan. Single Bedroom (sleeps 1): Twin daybed, desk and dresser. Closest Airports - Manchester Airport (Manchester NH), 36 miles Logan Airport (Boston, MA), 80 miles Local facilities - Grocery store: Harvester Market, 3 miles Pharmacy: Henniker Pharmacy, 3 miles Henniker Laundromat: corner of Main St & Rush Rd, 3 miles Skiing: Pat's Peak, 5 miles (many other ski areas nearby) Golfing: Duston Country Club in Hopkinton; Angus Lea Golf Course in Hillsborough; Oak Brook Golf in North Weare all within 10 miles Redbox rentals: Hillsboro, 7 miles Major shopping area with mall, movie theater and big box stores: Concord, 17 miles NH Motor Speedway, 31 miles
Henniker is a great place to relax and get away from it all or enjoy an action filled vacation. Stroll the streets or trails along the river, enjoy a summer concert on the green or spend an afternoon playing golf, take a hike through the lush trails or ski one of the area mountains. There is a lot to see and do around Henniker. Its central location makes it a great place to use as your home base while you explore New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Vermont or even Maine.
  • We loved our time at Linda's place on French Pond. It's located at the end of a road and although there's another house fairly near by, the cabin feels very private. As soon as we walked in the front door and looked out through that wall of windows onto the pond we were hooked. The open living area is large and airy and connects the inside with the pond outside. A heron was standing on the dock awaiting us. The bedrooms were a little smaller than expected, but two of them look out onto the pond through floor-to-ceiling windows and so they didn't feel cramped. The kitchen was well stocked - we stayed for two weeks and mostly cooked at the cabin, and we found almost everything we needed to prepare meals in the cupboards. The place was spotless, and had lovely homey touches. Internet was fast and reliable. If there's one thing we would have liked it would have been more room in drawers/closets to put our clothes. Staying for two weeks, we wanted to unpack, but one closet was almost completely taken up with extra bedding and so, too, was one of the drawers. We ended up using the third bedroom as our closet. Linda was extremely responsive and friendly. A major storm took out the power (including the water supply which runs on a pump), and Linda was on the ball making sure things got reconnected and back up and running as soon as possible. Would definitely stay again.

  • This is a great place to get away from it all and enjoy the outdoors. The cottage feels like home. It is exceptionally clean and comfortable and the views are just as pictured. The cottage is larger than in seems in the pictures, plenty of room, yet cozy too. Linda was incredibly responsive; she answered every message right away.

    Suzanne2019-05-20T00:00:00Z
  • This place is fabulous. Linda has thought of everything - although she was unable to prevent the snow! We loved everything about the house, and we hope to come back at a warmer time!

    Ira2018-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • The lake house is just amazing, located right by the lovely french pond. The view is breathtaking, with big glass doors and nice patio, we didn't want to go anywhere else. The location is far from busy road, very quiet and peaceful, a perfect retreat from everyday's busy life. The pond is not big but very pretty, with water lily of different colors. We loved to hop onto the paddle boat and canoe, check out every corner of the pond. Linda is a great host, we had a small issue at the check in, she responded promptly and made sure the issue is resolved to our satisfaction. I would definitely come back again.

As for the Airbnb itself, it was as it looks like in the photos with beautiful wooden flooring and cabinets. The space was perfect for us two and could also fit two more! It’s super close to pats peak (only 5 minutes away) and to sunapee! It sits right by a river that was right outside our windows. We also got to try Daniel’s which was right downstairs from us and it was delicious! Thanks again Kevin for the hospitality and the stay!

COVID 19 PRECAUTIONS: No extra people come and go from the property, and your space is TOTALLY DISINFECTED (all bedding included) between Airbnb guests. Feel free to message with any questions. I look forward to welcoming you! Your 'trainer's suite' is a totally private room and connected full bath. Twin beds have comfy mattresses, "My Pillows", and soft, upscale linens. Coffee/tea always available. I am happy to arrange tours of the Miniature Horse barn and paddocks. Bring your camera!
The Trainer’s Suite, encompassing a bedroom and full bath, is on the private 2nd floor off of an interior walkway overlooking the open concept living areas of the house. The bedroom has comfy twin beds and room enough to plunk a child on an air mattress on the floor. The full bath, complete with skylight, is yours and yours alone. The suite is decorated with pictures, ribbons, and trophies from 55 years of equine events.
We are in a lovely, wooded residential area, where our 10 acres and 20 Miniature Horses are well hidden from the road. Summers are pleasant due to the tree canopy and location on a hill; autumns are spectacular; winters are……..well, winter, but the Town of Bow is topnotch with road care. The property is located on one of the many area deer paths, and depending on the season, you are very likely to see the wild turkeys that also use the path, and even an occasional moose or bear.
  • Cindy is a wonderful host, and the space is very cozy — clean, warm, and comfortable. Cindy was happy to let us spend some time with the horses. We’d absolutely go back. It was a truly relaxing, exceptionally pleasant stay. Thanks so much, Cindy.

  • There is a saying my husband and I use when we feel we are at an exceptional place. “Comfy,Cozy and Content “. That is what I felt at Cindy’s home. I had a great nights sleep on a very comfortable bed with an excellent pillow and sheets. Nice hot shower in the morning with great towels. I wish I had had time to have coffee in the morning that she supplies but this was a quick overnight due to a snowstorm. And she also had me park under cover so I did not have to clean my car before going to work ! Much appreciated !

    Julie2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely, cozy place, with the smell of the woods and fresh hay. Spotlessly clean, thoughtful communication. I recommend this place highly.

    Bas2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • A special place with a fabulous host...and miniature horses to boot! Everything from start to finish was a pleasure. Cindy is a clear, timely, humorous communicator. The bedroom/bathroom suite was perfect--clean, comfortable, quiet, and warm (we were there on a cold snowy winter night). We were treated to some quality time with her incredible miniature horses, which we had requested in advance (highly recommend!). She pointed us in the right direction about local restaurants and driving conditions. She went out of her way to allow us an especially early checkout time of 3:30 a.m. and thought of everything we would need for that special exit time in advance. Unless you don't like dogs (she has two sweet rescue dogs who sometimes bark briefly around strangers--but they are otherwise quiet and she is very careful to keep them away from the guest area and guest's belongings ), you will be very glad you stayed here. Cindy could not have been more helpful or gracious.

    Suzi2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Cindy has the kindest heart and it will be an amazing stay!

    Stina2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Cindy is a welcoming host and her home is in a peaceful setting about 10 minutes from downtown Concord. The 2nd floor bedroom is basic with 2 separate twin beds, a closet and a dresser and the adjoining bath is large. No TV, easy chair or desk but very clean and cozy. High speed WiFi is offered. Fresh coffee and her famous pumpkin bread are a nice touch in the morning.

  • Very quiet location. Great communication by the host. Very clean and comfortable. Will definitely stay there again when I am back in the area.

    Jiska2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I planned a two week snowboarding trip. This was our third stop, and we stayed one night. We had a restful night stay as the bed was comfortable. I really liked the soft shag rugs throughout the rooms. Everything appeared clean, and I especially liked how the host provided plenty of bottled waters and coffee. I did ask the host if we could do a load of laundry, and she denied us access to her washer and dryer, so that was a bit unfortunate. Secondary roads to get to the airbnb were awful! (This isn’t the hosts fault, just giving future potential guests an idea about the area, as we are from Virginia). It would be very much recommended for future travelers to be driving a 4 WD vehicle. The closest restaurant that we could find that was open at 7pm at night was about 20 minutes away. Potholes everywhere, so beware.

The White Mountains, Boston and seacoast are also within 1- 1 1/2 hours by car or bus. As you can see there is no shortage of activities in the area, however if you would just like to sit and watch the garden grow, please feel free to enjoy the solitude, or we would always welcome help with gardening and picking vegetables if you are so inclined. In the evening, relax by the fire pit and enjoy the sound of the peepers and crackling fire, (based on the weather, please ask me or Rick to start the fire first). Come and get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and traffic and enjoy the country life for a few days or a week. You will feel refreshed and renewed and won't be disappointed ...like us, you'll probably never want to go back!
Peaceful, rural setting, near the river and down the street from Elm Brook Park. We are also located on Route 127 which does have some commuter traffic weekday mornings.
  • Great farm location farm animals and a quite space with a nice view and the hosts are absolutely amazing they take the time to listen and talk we had a great bonfire and some great food thanks for everything and for the dance....

  • First, it is a great getaway from all the hectic lifestyle drag at the city; second the place is real cozy and homely; third, the entire place has been kept spic n span; and fourth, i loved spending my time out here with the most hospitable host I know. Above all I am definitely gonna miss Patti's yummy treats.

  • I highly recommend your stay whether it is in the camper, the rooms in the farmhouse, the tiny house set back in the woods or just camping out. They have a lot of options (if a booking is available). Patti and Rick are super accommodating and go out of their way to make you comfortable. They are there when you need them and also respect your privacy if that's what you are looking for. The farmhouse is very charming and any flaws (if even hardly noticeable) only adds to its character. All of the lodging spaces are super clean as well and charming as well. I have been camping out on the property for over a week and have had everything I need and more. They went out of their way to make sure. They made 2 full bathrooms, a full kitchen, and a cozy 3-season porch (with games and puzzles galore, internet TV, and electricity to charge all my gadgets) accessible to me. I had fresh towels, washcloths, linens. I also got to enjoy complimentary fresh free-range eggs provided by the lovely hens, fluff and Nugget. They offered tea, coffee, toast and jam as well as fresh garden veggies. The only challenge I faced was a night of thunderstorms where I was able to seek refuge in the 3-season porch. Rick and Patti set me up to make sure I was cozy and had everything I needed. I was even able to do a partial bartering for my stay. I loved swimming in the river and depending on where you stay and availability you may have access to the kayaks. The walk to the river through the woods is only about 500ft from the house. It's a little muddy at the shoreline but not bad at all. The large firepit for a nightly gathering was a nice touch and fun to interact with others. The cat and dogs on the property are very sweet and friendly. So are the bugs, so make sure you bring bug spray (if not, Patti and rick have you covered)! lol. Overall, it's a very peaceful and relaxing getaway. Enjoy the chirping crickets!

    Amy2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Patti and Rick are gracious hosts. They made sure I had everything I needed. The place is quiet and relaxing. The cat Trixie and dog Layla are very friendly and the three free ranging chickens visited every day. There is a good place to cool off in the river that has a spring pouring into it. I would definitely book there again.

  • Was truly a better experience than i could’ve hoped for. As it was only a very quick stay, patti made the conscious effort to make sure I felt welcomed and was there for a reason. Very personable, and willing to go the extra way to make sure I was comfortable and in good hands! Perfect for car campers and all others looking for a quaint place to stay

    Claire2018-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Patti and Rick were very lovely hosts and worked with me on a last minute booking. They were super responsive and helped me book properly since I was having trouble with the app. When we were unexpectedly one man short for one night they promptly refunded with no need for me to ask. Checking in with them was like coming in to a family members home to stay, warm and welcoming. It poured out the first couple of nights we were there and the camper was very cozy. everything you need is there. highly recommended.

    Kristi2018-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay with Patti & Rick was perfect! We rented space to park our van for the night, after a wedding in Concord. We arrived early in the day to meet the hosts who were more than accommodating and happy to show us around the property, even taking the time to walk us down to the beautiful river side. They have a peaceful and serene place, especially at sunrise. The kitties joined us for our morning coffee, which just sweetened the experience. There were other campers renting the trailer at the wood line, we wouldn’t have even known were there had they not passed by to say hello. As we headed off to other adventures we wished that we had allowed more time to stay and enjoy the area and we definitely recommend checking this place out!

  • Nice quiet location but be ready for a bit rustic. Was not a big issue for me. Super clean space and nice use of a small area. Great for 1-3 people. Great communication by Deborah even with a small check in issue. No problems. Snacks were a nice touch. Hope to come back when I can see the area as I was in and out in the dark with daylight savings and my work hours. Would like to make use of listed hiking and biking in the area when there is more daylight! Hope to come back soon as I'm in the area on business frequently.

  • What an adorable and perfect place! This barn had everything we needed and was in a cute town where we enjoyed the local coffee shop and rail trail. The bed was very comfortable, and we had reliable wifi and the kitchen was stocked with a small set of pots and pans that allowed us to prep our own food. We had plenty of towels and hot water in the shower. The land around the barn is beautiful, and we really enjoyed walking around and exploring the nearby creek. We ventured out to the mountains nearby and find an excellent hike too. The host was so friendly and responsive, and we had a truly wonderful stay!

My wife Mariana and I welcome you to stay with us in our home right on the Soucook River where you can feel “away from it all” just 4 miles from Downtown Concord NH. We have three guest rooms in our house. This room has a view of the river and queen bed. I am a designer/sculptor. My studio is here on the property so we live and work here. I will be around to help you with any questions. You are welcome to use the kitchen, living room, kayaks, campfire ring, etc...All is shared except your room.
The Hidden Gem room has a view of the river and a queen bed. It is ideal for couples but can comfortably sleep one. We also have a cot you can set up if you are a group of three. (third person fee $20) Our house is on a hill over the river so in this second floor bedroom you feel like you are in the treetops. If you are traveling for work there is also a desk in the room and high speed wireless internet. In the kitchen we have a coffee nook, stocked with coffee and tea and fruit, which you are welcome to. When our little flock of chickens are laying, you are also welcome to fresh eggs in the morning! The river is beautiful and private. You can swim and kayak with our three kayaks in the summer. or enjoy watching the snow fall from our living room where there is a cozy wood stove we run through the fall and winter. There is a deck off of the kitchen in the back of the house where we keep a gas grill you can use. And there are two fire pits in the back yard, plenty of wood to have a campfire. If you are staying longer with us, there is also laundry in the basement. We have a small friendly parrot, Carmen, who is our only inside pet and a sweet little flock of chickens that free range in the back. Mariana is an interpreter, bilingual in Spanish (originally from Mexico) and English and I have been a full time artist for 10 years.
We are nestled in an unusual spot. We are in a one acre plot along the river and conservation land, so although we have malls and businesses all around us you would never know when you are here. It is peaceful and private on the property, while very close to Concord. Although we are in the town of Pembroke we are much closer to Concord. We are only 4 miles to Main Street Concord and 1 mile from the Steeplegate Mall area where there are groceries, Starbucks, Target, Walmart, Best Buy, etc...
  • Nice place to stay within budget.

  • I am New to the to the Airbnb experience. To me staying with Vivian was what an air BNB experience was supposed to be like. You were invited into their house as a guest. There you were treated as a guest. Their place was active and “Lived in” and I mean that in a good way. I was not the only guest but they had two showers which Led to less anxiety on mu part. Although in the country it was very convient to Concord only 5 to 9 minutes from the capital.

An attached apartment in our home. It has a different entrance from our usual entrance, though you'll walk through our woodshop and storage area on the way to your room. Almost all of our guests have commented how clean it is. There is a very steep staircase with a sturdy railing, but some guests will find it hard to navigate. Make sure read the check-in instructions and wifi password, since sometimes guests' phones don't work when they get here (particularly t-mobile).
You will be staying in our "apartment" as we call it, though there isn't a separate kitchen area, though the bathroom has a large sink, so we've had long-term guests who cook use the sink for dishes, etc. If you are staying with more than two guests, there is an queen air mattress that we can provide as well. If you want to use the air mattress with just two guests, please choose three guests when reserving, and it will charge an extra $5 since we'll be washing two sets of sheets for you. It has a separate access to the house through the garage and a private bathroom. If want to reserve within the 48 hours, that it most likely fine. In general, we want more notice, but most times of the year, it will be fine and we'll likely see your request quickly, so go ahead and send the request.
We chose to live close to downtown to be able to walk to various things. We live in a small town of 6,000 people, and I'd guess a majority of them either know me or at least my name. We love small-town New England. Most will greet you as you walk down the street. Many properties in our area are in 1/2 acre lots and the immediate surrounding houses were built in the 1890s. We are walking distance to restaurants, bars, churches, a walking trail through the woods, the school playground and ball fields, library. Many people in the town drive, but there are a few of us who walk and bike. The main grocery store is a long walk or short drive away. There is a free, public beach 2-3 miles away with some rafts, nice sand, a boat launch, and a fishing area. In the winter, there is an outside ice skating rink within walking distance, and two small ski resorts ~10 miles away. Extending to 25 miles away, there are numerous mountains to climb and small cities with various conveniences. Let me know if you want restaurant recommendations. We have a bunch in town, some seasonal and I can let you know what I recommend. Cell phone service is good, with the exception of T-Mobile, which I don't think works anywhere near here.

  • A budget friendly and a good room for two people. The host respects our privacy a lot. It is a shared room in their home but has separate entrance so we can enter and exit at our own will. I would definitely prefer to stay at Jon’s place the next time I come to Hillsborough. I strongly recommend this place.

  • This spot is perfect for a quick overnight. It is a very clean, above-garage apartment. Basic accommodations but all one really needs! The host was exceptional at communicating and I was thankful for that at 10:30pm when I still hadn’t received instructions from Airbnb on how to enter the property. Luckily, Jon was very quick to reply and sent me the relevant information.

  • This was a great place stay! Ann and William are one of the best hosts I’ve ever come across so far. I loved staying here and I’m definitely coming back. I stayed here for my Uni residency at NEC in Henniker. I checked in late at this place, the nearest restaurant was bit far and I had to Uber to the restaurant. I was starving like hell and Ann was so sweet to feed me dinner that night with their extra food. And it was DELICIOUS!! I couldn’t thank them enough for that kind act : ) They’ve a boxer dog, Luna and a cat, Tuxie. Both were super friendly, I enjoyed their company and I used to bring treats for Luna every evening from school. Honestly I miss them so much now! Coming to house, I loved the whole arrangement of items in all the rooms. The bedroom I stayed was big enough for two, all the items were super clean from mattress to pillows, sheets and the bathroom. Just make sure to bring a car to travel as this is a small town booking a cab can be hassle.

Sweetwater Farm sits on 40 acres with over 1000 ft of river frontage on the Contoocook a.k.a. the "tooky". We have multiple sites to choose from and can handle groups. We provide sleeping in a tent silo which is suspended in air between trees it is very comfortable. The silo sleeps two if you need additional silos please see our other listings on Air BNB. Local ordinances require that we provide our guests with their sleeping quarters, therefore, guests cannot set up their own tents.
You'll be staying in a tent silo which is suspended in the air creating a great sleeping experience. We have multiple sites to choose from so you can be secluded or out in a common area.
We live in a small town, with lots of outdoor activities, go for a hike or take a trip down the river on a tube or a kayak.

Come share our home with us in beautiful NH. Our home is located in a rural area, yet only 20 minutes to Concord or Tilton, 1 hour from the ocean, 1/2 hour to Lakes region, 1 and 1/2 hours to the White Mountains. Our home is only 1 mile from Merrimack County Nursing Home, perfect for nurses. We live 1 mile from the rail trail, but it can be accessed from our back yard. Our home is located on a very quiet cul-de-sac and has ample off road parking. We are available 24/7 by phone or texting.

  • Warm and sensible host and the room is more private than you would expect.

  • If you need someplace near Concord at an affordable rate, the host is very hospitable. Off street parking, a set of keys, bathroom in room (shared shower).

  • More space than expected and good feature to have a Toilet and Sink in the Suite. Only have to use common bath to shower. Economical and worth it.

  • I stayed with Kathy for about a month. I have nothing but good things to say about her. She was very welcoming and I felt very comfortable here. I met with her multiple times during my stay. The location is in a quiet neighborhood about 20 minutes from Concord. The room was perfect and we had access to the kitchen and washer and dryer for free. The experience was amazing and I wish I had a reason to stay longer. This location is perfect and everyone should stay here.

Step back in time at this quiet, 1779, rural Farmstead. View our lovely and diverse gardens, wander the field. or walk the wooded trails. (Snowshoe or nordic ski in the winter). Meal prep in our rustic 3-season kitchen, or enjoy our favorite local restaurants (as close as 5 min away by car). We can be a destination, a home base for vacationers eager to explore nearby attractions, or a temporary home to business travelers. A multi-generational family, we welcome guests from all walks of life.
Kick back by the living room fireplace and read a good book, make music at the keyboard or chat with friends. Delight in our gourmet, freshly ground coffee from the 1779 dining room, enjoy the view from the stone patio (or the hot tub), walk, snowshoe, or ski our fields and trails, relax at the firepit (and/or prepare an outdoor meal - request utensils in advance), observe our gardens, socialize with our dogs, cats, chickens and guinea fowl, or watch for wildlife. For more information on The Greener Patch Farmstead, go to our fb page. Events may be held by permission only. Please ask for more information.
SKI: Pat's Peak in Henniker (17 min.), Pine Hill Ski Club (29 min. - Nordic), Mount Sunapee (42 min.), Whaleback (44 min.), Granite Gorge (45 min.), Ragged Mt (47 min.), Gunstock Mt (1 hr)!The Greener Patch Farmstead is just four minutes from downtown historic Hopkinton Village. Our farmstead is perfectly placed on "Scenic" Patch Road which has been intentionally maintained as a dirt road by the town of Hopkinton due to the historic nature of the area. In addition to some shorter trails on the property, the town of Hopkinton maintains many of its own hiking trails/nordic ski trails as well as snow mobile trails, some of which are accessible from the farm. The local village beach is two minutes by car and Contoocook River access is just 6 minutes away. Enjoy Gould Hill Farm and Contoocook Cider Company, just minutes up the road, or visit the goats at Beech Hill Farm while enjoying the farm's tasty ice cream. In winter, our trails are great for snowshoeing or nordic skiing and Pat's Peak downhill skiing is only 17 minutes away. The Farmstead supplies kayaks and life preservers for the Contoocook River and local lakes/ponds. Transportation for drop off/pick up round trip is $20 per truck load.
  • I’d recommend Elaine to all the Airbnb users.

  • There's so much to love about this place. Built in 1779, back when the Revolutionary War was in full swing, the house features conspicuously wide floorboards that were an act of defiance against the crown's claim to mast pines. They're as patriotic as floorboards get, and they're beautiful. The whole place is. It's been tastefully updated over the centuries, with built-in heaters and electrical outlets, while retaining everything there is to love about an old farmhouse. It's kept clean, warm, and homey. Elaine's hospitality is second to none; she's warm, friendly, highly responsive, and accommodating. The food she serves for both breakfast and lunch is consistently excellent, and she's undercharging for it. I am so grateful for having had the opportunity to stay here, and I can't recommend it highly enough.

  • This was a perfect place to stay for our trip. We spent most of our time exploring local wineries and Elaine's place was great to come back to in the evening. Located close to the highway, which was nice for travel, but far enough way to enjoy peace and quiet. We would stay there again if in area.

  • Beautiful, cozy, charming spot to stay in the Concord area! We drove up for a concert in downtown Concord and decided to stay an extra night to enjoy the beautiful fall colors. Elaine’s home was conveniently located, surrounded by beautiful trees (we loved sitting on the swing seat in the front yard and just enjoying the peaceful scene.) She and her family are extremely sweet. The hot tub is an extra special feature, and the homemade breakfast was a great treat and perfect way to start each day. We would definitely stay again!

  • It is wonderful to be able to stay in a well-cared-for historic home, out in the fresh air and beauty of the New England countryside. Elaine is a very attentive and talented hostess!

  • We had a wonderful stay. The beautiful farm setting was quiet and relaxing. Elaine was very friendly and made a delicious breakfast with farm fresh eggs and maple syrup made on the property.

  • A great example of a New England home. Great hospitality and exceptionally clean. Elaine was a gem as well as the welcoming committee of her dog and two Guinea hens. (The cat couldn’t be bothered with visitors. Lol) This is a beautiful, serene location. Thank you!
