Exceptional Coach House conversion (4 bed, 3 baths; sleeps max 7) in a countryside setting. Disabled-friendly (including wet room), walled garden & outside dining space. Close to Birmingham, Lichfield, Peak District, Cannock Chase, Alton Towers & the NEC
We supply tea, coffee, and a couple of pints of milk - there's a chinese restaurant in the village for take away/eating in and local shops near by in Handsacre and Kings Bromley. The coach house is very private and secluded
Ridware Hall and the Coach House are situated up a single track road, at the end of the village, with great views across the fields towards Cannock Chase. There is a lovely church dating back to the 1100's which still holds regular worships, and a pub within walking distance, and some great restaurants a cab drive away
  • Roys Coach House is definitelly top quality accomodatio. For larger groups of people that love to get together. We had been to his place multiple times by now, and there is always something improved and better. Spotless clean, multiple baths, comfy beds, very stylish place to rest and enjoy beauty of english countryside. Plenty of local tips and the most attentive and friendly welcome is a cherry on top :-) we will be back again as there are not many places like this and we absolutely loved it!

  • A wonderful place to celebrate my mum's birthday, with plenty of space for six adults. We ate in on both nights and found the kitchen to be well resourced. The quality of the home-ware and linens also couldn't be faulted. As someone else mentioned, the walled garden was beautiful, it's just a shame the weather didn't allow us to enjoy it!

  • Great venue for meeting up with family and friends, we’ll stocked kitchen and lots of bathrooms! Great accessible facilities too.

    Christian2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful house in an amazing location. The whole house is finished to a top specification and we were all very comfortable there for the weekend. Roy is a brilliant host who provided very detailed information about the house and surrounding area including places to eat and things to do. We'll be back!

  • Nice clean quiet place comfortable beds few bathrooms large house good host definitely I will book it again

    Dimitar2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely sublime. I booked the Coach House for my wife's surprise 40th and everything about the weekend delivered. Not only is the venue spacious and immaculately clean, but quiet and welcoming too. You've very close to say many local amenities and things to do, but the Coach House affords you the opportunity to feel like you have escaped. We came with friends to celebrate my wife's birthday and the space was perfect for adults, but also well equipped for families, too, allowing our children (and baby!) to join in the celebrations. Roy is the consummate host - very quick communication, very forthcoming with information and a fantastic host. The walled garden was a particular highlight for me - a wonderful oasis that I'd love to see in full bloom. One of the best Airbnb experiences I've had the pleasure to experience. Highly recommended.

Whilst separate from our semi detached house, the annexe is Our Home / Our Guest Home. It is a place to wrap up in the blankets, put up your feet, relax and be cosy. Its not a mansion but It Is a Hidden Gem In The Town. Probably, The Best Hotel Room that you could get for the price. With plenty of well kept outdoor spaces, providing you with more facilities and homely space than any hotel room.
Being a stones throw away from our house, our annexe building offers you complete independence and privacy whilst being our guest. Having your own kitchenette, on suite and office space, you can spend quality time either relaxing or catching up with your work whilst on the move. Kitchenette provides you with an induction hob, electric frying pan, kettle, toaster, microwave and fridge. There is also a washing machine (washing powder provided free of charge) and drying rack. The Annexe has electric wall heaters to make sure you are cozy throughout the year.
Located on a quite street, you can listen to the birds singing throughout the seasons.
  • A lovely, well appointed annex with some nice touches. Only a brisk 10 walk into the centre saves using the car. Brilliant communications throughout. Very friendly and helpful. Thoroughly recommended!

  • Easy check-in and very clean! They were also so kind to provide us with a continental breakfast and an early check in. My girlfriend had had just gotten off a red eye flight and was exhausted, and they had the place ready 2 hours early. Would definitely stay here again if we were in town, and we would recommend.

  • Airbnb don’t do hotel star ratings but if they did, Mark and Evita’s place would be top of the list.

  • Stayed here a number of weeks during my placement. Mark and Evita are both very kind and accommodating. The place is very clean and comfortable and I would reccomend staying there if you're wanting to explore or stay for work. It's also an easy drive to get to Stafford and the neighbourhood is a nice area. There are supermarkets near by too along with little shops. The space is very private but the hosts are there if you need them. Thanks for my stay Mark and Evita! :)

  • My friend and I came up to stay for one night as we were playing in tournaments up in the area and we saw Romain's place and it looked fantastic. Romain met us there when we arrived and explained everything for us and made us feel massively at home! After we were settled we had a look around and the place is absolutely beautiful! Everything we needed from a place to stay was there at Romain's! She actually thought of everything. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we can't wait to come up to stay again. We would definitely recommend Romain's place as it's just got everything you need from an airbnb :)

    Elisa2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Hi Romain, Thank you very much for allowing us to stay in your beautiful Airbnb. Your place was beautiful, had everything you could need or want, was spotless and extremely comfortable. It was like a home away from home for myself and my son. You went way above expectations when I mentioned I had a load of washing and we really appreciated this more than you will know :) We would highly recommend your Airbnb to anyone All the best Sarah and Aiden

    Sarah2020-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely and cozy place to stay at! We were blown away by Romain's eye for detail and her ability to anticipate what one could possibly need (or want)! We stayed in many Airbnb's in the past and this place is definitely up there! As if the well equipped kitchen, large cozy lounge, plush bedroom linen/towels and sparkling clean bathroom weren't enough, Romain treated us with milk, bread, biscuits... even wine and fresh flowers to welcome us "home"! Thank you for your warm hospitality Romain! We are looking forward to staying longer next time!

As this was a working trip I was only too grateful to get “home” to my AirBnB and chill out. This was easily achieved as the whole place was conducive to privacy and quietness. • Ann-Marie has been a super host. Her communication was prompt from the very moment we booked until the day we left. She has been welcoming and caring for us from the moment we enter her property. On our arrival we were pleased to see a range of fruits on the table, milk in the fridge, and an assortment of packages to make hot beverages. The beds are soft, and comfortable to sleep, especially with all those pillars and cushions on each of the three rooms. You will definitely feel like being at home away from your home. The property has all the comforts that you would want to have in your own house. Finally, if you are there and you have any technical issues or you just want something to be sorted, don't hesitate to get in touch with Ann-Marie, because she will have Martella or someone else out to you immediately. My place is close to The Cannock Chase Museum and Cannock Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, local golf courses, Lichfield, several National Trust properties, The National Memorial Arboretum and Rugeley. Train service from Rugeley to Birmingham.
Our bedrooms are very much "home from home" and all have stunning views of the surrounding farmyard and countryside views. Each bedroom has ensuite facilities comprising a shower, toilet and washbasin. There are televisions in each room and tea making facilities and coffee making trays.
  • You are on a working Farm, the overall stay for me was as expected and suited me down to the ground, easy distance for a recently refurbished pub if you needed a meal or drink.

  • Mavis is very welcoming to this lovely old traditional farm house. The breakfast is massive and delicious! comfy beds, everything you need.

    Christian2019-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • I absolutely enjoyed my time at Mavis' home. A more welcoming host would be hard to imagine and on a cold, wet night the hot cup of tea and home made cake she had ready for me were most welcome. Absolutely no concerns or complaints about my room ( huge! ) and a really great cooked breakfast. A bargain at the price! Certainly, Mavis' home will be my first port of call on my next visit to the Stafford area. Thank you, Mavis.

  • Our stay was very comfortable. My son and I both appreciated you sharing you home with us and for the way you were able to work with our schedule. It was rather later (like 2am) when we arrived and your notes and directions were easy to follow to find our room. It was a comfortable bed and lots of covers, which I could peel layers off if too warm -very snug. I enjoyed the cooked breakfast every morning, although I would have to watch my waist line if I eat like that every day. Your live in an interesting old house in a beautiful and peaceful setting. I loved hearing the robin twittering and pigeons cooing in the morning. I enjoyed the walks too through green fields. Overall it was a peaceful place where you could step out of this busy noisy world for a while into an oasis of tranquillity and timelessness.

Detached garden annex in a quiet country village on the outskirts of Stafford. Our oak framed building has a really tranquil vibe and is the perfect way to escape the hubbub of everyday life. It is newly decorated and furnished to a high standard with a kingsize bed, double bed size sofa bed, 2 dining chairs with a small breakfast table. There is a kitchen area with kettle, fridge, toaster, and microwave. The ensuite is small but perfectly formed with toilet, shower, sink & underfloor heating.
It would make the perfect place for a romantic getaway or perfect place to stop for a family of four going to Alton towers and with cannock chase on our doorstep even four hairy mountain bikers could fit if they don't mind bunking in together! There will be a welcome pack for your continental breakfasts of homemade cake, homemade bread where possible, jam, marmalade, butter, Cereal, orange juice, yoghurt and milk....and of course, tea and coffee. I do not provide a cooked breakfast. We also have quite a large collection of DVD's that we have left in the annex, just in case you fancy going old skool and watching an old classic or maybe something just plain silly (the dvd player is in there too and a TV large enough to watch telly in bed!) We have wifi but as we are quite rural we do have the odd glitch and sometimes mobile phone reception isn't all that great, depending on your network provider. Babies are welcome, however we do not have a cot so you would need to bring your own.
We are 3.5 miles from the town centre where there are some historic buildings including the ancient high house (the largest surviving timber framed townhouse in the UK), The gatehouse theatre, a new multi screen cinema and shopping centre and plenty of good places to eat and drink. Cannock chase, an area of outstanding natural beauty is 2 miles from our front door and accessible via a beautiful public footpath for hikers or 1.8 miles down a country road for mountain bikers. If MTB bikers are looking for more challenging rides then the "Follow the dog" and 'Monkey" trails which take off from Birches valley forest centre are only 7.5 miles away by road. This is also where the forest live concerts take place as well as a 'Go ape' and lots more forest to explore. The national trust Shugborough hall estate is 2.6 miles from here. Alton towers is 27 miles away (approx 50 mins) You can get to the peak district in around an hour so a good days hiking is doable. The cathedral city of Lichfield is only 15 miles away and is accessible by bus from the end of our lane. Wedgwood visitor centre is 17 miles and the rest of the potteries just a stones throw away from there. We can arrange a mountain bike lesson or guided tour(subject to availability) and also if you require bike wash facilities and storage, this can also be arranged. Stafford county showground is 3.8 miles. There are some great shops, pubs, resaurants and takeaways in the local area including a Co-op, chinese takeaway, Dominoes pizza and fish and chips just 1.1 miles away. If you need recommendation just ask.
  • Lovely hosts and gorgeous place to stay. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to get away for a few days

  • An amazing spot with great hosts. Nothing was too much trouble for them even when we turned up muddy with bikes and kit in tow.

  • What a delightful stay we had at the Annex. We were made to feel so welcome by the friendly hosts who went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had absolutely everything we needed. They provided generous goodies for our breakfast and even made us a delicious heart cake as it was Valentines Day when we arrived! That was definitely going above and beyond and we were extremely touched and grateful. The accommodation is cosy, comfortable, warm and spotlessly clean. The bed and bed linen are fantastic. I could have stayed much longer than our 7 days and will definitely book there again when I visit the area in the future. I will be sure to recommend it to anyone going that way. Thank you for a wonderful stay, for your attention to detail and friendly but non intrusive care.

Semi detached in the village of Hill Ridware. The house has 4 bedrooms & a comfortable bed that is used for seating in the lounge. The village is quite close drive in the car to Lichfield & Burton on Trent & further away Birmingham & Tamworth. The house is suitable for people working. Beautiful Derbyshire is about 30 mins drive. There is a pub & chineese restaurant in the village. Nearest shops are in Rugeley 5 mins drive. Look at photos carefully and read the description to see if suitable.
The house is in a village location there are no shops near by however there is a village pub and chineese. It is essential that people booking are car drivers. The house is suitable for people working in the area. It is not really suitable for families. It is not somewhere I would advise for a holiday either I lived there fifteen years it is a good work space and a quiet village location for working from home. It is not suitable for children and people with accessibility difficulties and there is no local public transport. The house has garden furniture for guests to use. The garden is false grass, smokers please be careful cigarette ash will melt the grass please use something to put the ash in. The cushions for the garden furniture are in the shed at the back of the house past the garden furniture look right. There has been new carpet fitted on the stairs week commence fifth August. New flooring has been fitted in the down stairs shower room on the landing and in the bathroom. The entrance hall is Indian stone flooring. The lounge is carpeted. The room next to the down stairs shower room is oak wood flooring. The shower room has bathroom type plastic flooring. The main bedroom upstairs is carpeted professionally last cleaned 20 July. The small single room is oak flooring and the other bedroom the floor boards are painted white. I am providing this detail due to one customer saying the house is not carpeted. The house does not have many carpets because I do not like carpets in houses as cannot clean them properly especially with the house accepting dogs please note dog owners rarely book the house if they do the house is thoroughly cleaned afterwards. The house always has. Bedding Towels Cooking utensils Cups Cutlery Glasses different types off Saucepans Dish cloths Tea towels Cleaning products Hair dryer Side lamps in bedrooms and the lounge The house most of the time has. Tea Coffee Sugar Toiletries such as body wash and shampoo Toilet roll Wash powder Biscuits Washing up liquid Milk I do apologise if any of the above items are missing I do endeavour to ensure they are there but just encase I can’t get them there for some reason there maybe an item missing. To turn the heating on there is a temperature dial in the main master bedroom this is the room with the cream carpet. The round temperature dial is above the drawers in the corner as go into the room opposite the wardrobe. It is a small white plastic box with a round temperature dial on it. Easy and quick to use just turn it up to the heat setting you need. Do not try to turn the heating on at the boiler the boiler is already set to work through the temperature dial on the wall.
The house is in a village there are lots of walks in the area. The village itself is fairly small although not that small building quite a few new houses there. Guests if like walking can walk to the local canal it is about a thirty minute walk to this canal their is a pub and chip shop on the canal in Armitage and the plum pudding restaurant. I estimate thirty to fourty minute walk to the crown pub in Armitage and around a one hour walk to the plum pudding Armitage. The village although not much in the village has plenty of street lighting and it is a ten to fifteen minute drive to Lichfield and twenty minutes from Burton and a five minute drive away from Rugeley further away Birmingham is about fourty minutes drive away.
  • Great place to stay in the area. Thank you Rebecca for making everything run so well

    Simon2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Very comfortable, well equipped and pleasant house. Roomier than I expected, with a safe, enclosed rear garden. Everyone slept very well in the comfy beds. The central heating kept the house toasty warm - even though it was quite chilly outdoors. Had everything we needed - and Rebecca made sure we had all the information we required. Highly recommended.

  • This is a home from home. Fully equipped kitchen with more matching crockery than I have ever seen in a rental! Sonia was very welcoming and provided a welcome basket of bread, cereal and milk and an ample supply of tea, coffee, sugar and other larder items. The beds were very comfortable and the shower in the bathroom was amazing. Lovely quiet location with ample parking and close to the local bus routes. Looking forward to staying here again in the future.

    Lorraine2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely, very clean cottage in the middle of England. Host Sonia leaves you a first day breakfast which is nice. She welcomed us in person and showed us around the property. Have stayed here once before. I came back a few years later and Sonia has kept everything up to date. There are plenty of towels and bedding. Modern appliances. Very close to Cannock Chase. Nice television with plenty of channels for rainy days. There are also plenty of board games and books. There are also rescue goats on the property. They are very tame and my one year old granddaughter loved feeding them banana peels. (Sonia said it was OK) WiFi worked fine in the living room. It was a bit spotty in the rest of the house. This is only a minor glitch and one that I run across frequently out in the country. Internet is almost a necessity today. You use it to find everything. It is the phone-book of today. Yeah, I know I am showing my age. Again, service was fine in one end of the house. That was really all we required. The owner's house is on the same property. This was nice in case we had any questions. Yet she was never underfoot and we our cottage felt very private. Sonia is a great host and would recommend this property. Judy Alabama USA

  • Great little place tucked away near some beautiful countryside. Ideal for a family stay away

    Luke2019-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • Sonia’s place is a wonderful escape from the rat race. Beautifully appointed, comfortable and cosy, just as a cottage should be. I wouldn’t change a thing. Be prepared for very limited WiFi though. Comfortable beds and bed linen. Excellent kitchen amenities. Great parking. Quiet as can be. We had a truly lovely stay. Thank you Sonia. X

  • As a first time Airbnb user Sonia has set the benchmark a lovely lady and a faultless place. Myself and colleague stayed there while attending a training course, we will be booking again. Thankyou Sonia great, homely, warm cottage. Hi to the goats and hounds from me and Kieran.

This clean and modern 3-Bed Semi in the heart of Pelsall's Urban Village is in a quiet residential street just a moments walk from all the village shops, amenities and its three village greens. Why not enjoy a holiday here while you explore Cannock Chase or Chasewater with their walking and cycling trails and watersports on offer. There is off-road parking for 2 cars and an excellent public transport network to places like nearby Lichfield, Cannock, Walsall or Birmingham.
This property would be ideal for a couple or small family. A basket of wood can be provided for just £10 if you fancy a real fire in the evening instead of the central heating. All the kitchen appliances are immaculate and basic cleaning materials are provided, including a mop and vacuum. There's also an iron and ironing board. The side entrance doubles as the utility room and there is also a large secure rear shed to store bicycles or large items. The rear garden is a sun trap with decking and slabbing.
This property is situated in a quiet street with lovely neighbours. The village has a Co-op, Spar, Subway, bakery, pubs and coffee shops, chipshop, hardware store, petshop, flowershop, card shops, charity shop, healthcentre and much more. Over the summer there are mulitple village fates on the green and a circus and funfair visit annually. The disused railway line between Walsall and Brownhills passes directly through Pelsall and has been metalled to provide an idyllic stroll.

  • Bob will give you a friendly welcome and then show you the loveliest airy room on the top floor of his house. He was adaptable to requests, such as my daughters coming to visit, and was great at communication. The bed was super comfy and the near black-out blinds meant I managed a lie-in which is rare for me ("sun up, get up" is my well-word saying). All in all, you will not be disappointed.

  • Bob's place is as described and very comfortable and clean. Excellent wi-fi and desk/chair if you've a laptop like me. Bob gives a warm welcome. Lovely after a long drive: however, a note for loan female travelers' - there is a ''blanket, poor mobile signal'' around the immediate area - no shops within walking distance - perhaps arrive in daylight or with a better sat nav than mine (which didn't recognise the post code!) and also, take a pint of milk as Bob, provides only a few, tiny sachets (they don't satisfy my coffee need). All that said, a lovely accommodation. Great value for a night or two.

The room is well equipped and has thoughtful touches throughout and a lovely en-suite. The bed is very comfortable and we even had access to sky TV for the night. We would happily stay again if in Stafford.

Stafford was a great host - super friendly, helpful and courteous. The apartmen's clean, modern and comfortable. There are many good restaurants in walking distance and a bus stop just down the road. A delightful self-contained 3 bedroom bungalow in the beautiful village of Upper Longdon, nestled within the 26 square miles of Cannock Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The comfortable bungalow annexe is around 875 sq. ft with each bedroom having either a shower or bathroom ensuite. The kitchen is fully equipped including oven, hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, cafetière. Tea & coffee facilities are available. The village has a lovely friendly pub (restaurant Wed-Sun)
The bungalow is one of 4 properties within a private and secure gated courtyard with parking for 3 cars and ideal for secure motorbike parking (gates close automatically 8pm-7am with codes/fob to open). The village pub 'The Chetwynd Arms' is 100m away, great atmosphere and a good restaurant (Wed-Sun). The property has free hi-speed broadband wi-fi, smart TV and DVD player, digital radio and a washing machine. Mountain/motorbikes bikes can be stored in a locked garage by request. Well-behaved dogs are welcome, (although not on the furniture please) but there is no garden associated with the property. There is a grassed area opposite the bungalow with a dog-poo bin, and access onto the beautiful Cannock Chase is a 200-metre walk. No smoking.
The village lies within the Cannock Chase Forest. The forest is officially classified as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and is one of the best value family day's out that the Midlands has to offer. Cannock Chase is the UK’s smallest mainland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Here you can ride, hike, climb or just wander at your own pace. Your family adventure starts here. Activities in Cannock Chase Forest include the fascinating sculpture trail, adventure play area and a forest Segway experience. Feeling brave? The Go Ape Tree Top Adventure offers you a high-ropes forest activity course. Set 40 feet above the ground, you will have to tackle high wires; crossings and wind-in-your-face zip wires in order to complete this thrilling challenge. Miles of exhilarating mountain bike trails suit all ages and abilities. And 17 waymarked paths (including the 'Follow the Dog' trail and the 'Monkey Trail') all start from Birches Valley Forest Centre, just 5 miles from the bungalow. Plentiful parking is available, and there are cycle hire facilities and a family-friendly cafe on site. The property is just 6 miles from the Historic Cathedral City of Lichfield with its magnificent 13th-century Gothic 3-spired cathedral, and 29 miles from the famous Alton Towers family theme park - this is truly a delightful place to visit. Birmingham City centre is around a 40-minute drive.
  • We loved this place. It was a great meeting spot for us in beautiful countryside. The place was spotless, and wonderfully well-equipped. Lots of thoughtful extra touches. We enjoyed walking in the countryside and had a great meal in the local pub, Chetwynd Arms. Fantastic stay.

  • Very safe and secure here! Truly dog friendly accommodation, most people say accommodation is dog friendly but they have thought of everything here. Such thoughtful touches everywhere, even a first aid kit! Spotlessly clean, lovely and warm and an amazing dog friendly pub just over the road and also forest walks. A fab location!! Locked gates at night with access via a fob. Absolutely perfect, can’t fault it at all!

    Faye2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Philips, it’s all you see and much more. Very kind and thoughtful touches such as chocolates, biscuits, dog treats, milk, fresh orange, eggs and different cereals - thank you! Philip was a wonderful host and more than helpful in sharing local knowledge of walks and places to eat. The pub - The Chetwynd Arms is a must visit! The accommodation was very cosy, the beds extremely comfortable and little touches like bath sheets for towels, shower gels, shampoos and even cotton buds! We will definitely be returning at some point!! Thank you so much from Ian, Amanda and the two beagles Harvey and Holly.

  • We had a wonderful stay at Philips, it’s all you see and more. There are some lovely personal touches to make it a home from home and it was very comfortable for 4 adults and a child. With some great walks and a nice pub a short walk away it’s an ideal location for a family weekend break.

    Nicky2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place, so glad we found it. Very clean with lovely touches and everything you need. Great location for walking and the local pub is great. Phil and Julie were very welcoming and great communication before our arrival. Highly recommended

In the beautiful village of Great Haywood, on the edge of Cannock Chase, a mountain biking heaven. Attached garage and mudroom make clean-up easy. The good sized garden with BBQ area means a peaceful place to relax in the summer. A 3 bedroomed, spacious, but cosy, house set in stunning, English countryside, nestled alongside a canal & a river. Very close to the National Memorial Arboretum, Staffordshire County Showground, Alton Towers, Shugborough & a host of other tourist attractions. NON SMOKERS ONLY!!
This property is not available to smokers. This is a three bedroomed (a king size bed, a double bed and a single bed), home-from-home in a lovely, quiet street on the very edge of the magnificent Shugborough estate and Cannock Chase. There is an attached, lockable garage to store bikes in, which has a rowing machine, static bike & some free weights in it, should you wish to exercise during your stay. The garage opens out into a mud/utility room. This makes it an ideal base for mountain bikers & hikers, as access onto the fabulous Cannock Chase, and its miles and miles of trails, is directly from the house; no need to load the bikes up into a car! We've provided a hose pipe for washing down of bikes, so you don't ruin your lovely paintwork, and plenty of drying space for wet clothes. The garden is a lovely, peaceful spot with barbecue area and seating. There is parking space for two cars on the drive and on road parking in addition We're blessed to be in some exceedingly beautiful countryside, but with very easy access to Stafford town and motorway/main roads. We're also very close to lots of great attractions, from Go Ape (10mins drive) to Monkey Forest and Trentham Gardens, the Potteries, the stunning, medieval, Cathedral city of Lichfield, the National Arboretum War Memorial, Drayton Manor and Alton Towers, all of which are brilliant days out. We're also just 10 minutes away from Stafford Showground, where many events and shows are held. For any history buffs out there, we're 5 minutes from an incredible, little, local church which boasts being the only Christopher Wren church outside London (so I'm told...)- what a ceiling! More locally, there's both a shop and a pub in the village, about a 4-5 minute walk away, and two pubs in the next village (perfect for a stop off on the way back from the Chase trails). Also, in the village is the Canalside Cafe which has a wonderful Farm Shop alongside, which sells fabulous local produce. My aim is to be a host who's here to help, as we live only a few doors up in the same street, and will be on hand for any help or needs you have . I really hope to help people have the very best holiday/stay that they possibly can! Please note, there is no WiFi but there is decent 4G signal for phones/dongle.
Great Haywood is a quiet and picturesque village with direct walking/cycling access, over the famous Essex Bridge, into the Shugborough Estate, where Lord Lichfield previously lived, and thence onto Cannock Chase. Within the village there is a pub, a Canalside Cafe and Farm Shop, a Spar, a pharmacy and the doctor's surgery. Local supermarkets are in Rugeley, a 5 minute drive away and Stafford, 12 to 15 minute drive away.
  • We had a great stay at Judith’s while visiting family nearby. The house was clean, there was parking for 2 cars, the beds were comfy and it had what we needed for a weekend away - thank you!

    Emma2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Our family wanted to visit Cannock Chase to "GoApe". Judith's place was perfect for us as a family - lovely area for walking and a cozy place to stay indoors in bad weather. Judith is a fantastic host and I can highly recommend her accommodation.

    Izel2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Judith’s house is absolutely outstanding! One of the best places we’ve stayed! It’s super clean, a large space, beautifully decorated throughout and has everything you need and more. Judith is great with communication and is always on hand. I would definitely recommend staying here.

    Alex2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed at Judith’s with our two young children. High chair and travel cot provided which was great. We were visiting family close by but a perfect location for anyone visiting the area. Definitely would recommend to anyone

    Nilay2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed at Judith's place with a group of girlfriends for a weekend of chill. We were comfortable and warm and enjoyed an autumnal walk. Judith was very responsive and picked me up from the station which really helped me out. Local taxi company Chase cars were very reliable too.

    Liz2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Cosy furnishings in every room, super comfy beds, a big well equipped kitchen. Spotlessly clean with everything you need and more. Little extra touches abound. A super little home from home in a very quiet road in this lovely village. We're not out of doors types do didn't make use of the muddy dog and bike facilities but they're there if that's your thing. Highly recommend.

    Jon2019-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • We've stayed at Judith's place twice now. It's always a pleasure. She's great at getting back to me and goes out of her way to make us feel at home. Would definitely recommend staying here and look forward to returning.

This is a barn conversion, designed in a very light and French shabby chic style. We are a family, with a dog and a cat. We are happy to give you piece and quiet or we will chat. The house is light and airy and has great amenities. There are some beautiful places if you are a cyclist, runner, rambler or just a walker, like us. Cannock Chase is about 15 minutes away. We are near to both Rugeley and Lichfield. Lichfield offers much to do and is very friendly. We have good station access.
This is a beautiful quiet house with some beautiful country lanes for cycling, running, walking etc. We are about 50 minutes away from Birmingham city centre and about 50 minutes away from Nottingham.
We are very quiet, but are ten minutes away from Lichfield, one of the smallest and most beautiful cities in the country. It has weekly markets, food shows, proms in the park and events at the Cathedral. Cannock Chase has to be one of the most beautiful places to visit, too large to even think about seeing in one go. Endless walks and cycle paths. The Beerbohm in Lichfield is a niche micro brewery and well worth a visit as you can take your own food, hot or cold and you will be made most welcome.

  • You can expect a very pleasant stay in Julies house. Nice and warm, stylish, spacious and comfortable. The village has plenty of character; there are local shops and friendly pubs on the doorstep. There is plenty to do in the local area with Cannock Chase being so close by if you like to get out walking/biking.

  • Had a great stay at Julie's. Her home is very clean warn and comfortable, I would personally recommend Julie and would not hesitate to stay there in the future. Thank you for a great stay and your hospitality.

  • Hubby and I stayed at Julies home whilst attending a Mountain Biking Event in the area. Julie is a lovely, warm, friendly & knowledgeable host. A real gem and a pleasure to meet. Excellent communication prior to our arrival. Hubby's bike was safely stored in the garage and we were able to park outside Julies home. We received a very warm welcome from Julie and Brian. As other review state Julie's home is immaculately clean and styled beautifully . The photos do not do the bedroom justice as the room is bigger than it looks in the photo. The bed was comfortable with nice quality linens. The breakfast Julie cooked was superb. Brian, like Julie, is a delight to meet and we miss them both already. I highly recommend staying at Julies home, we met as strangers and left a friends. We will be booking another stay at Julies home. The only thing I would change is the rate. The stay is worth significantly more than what is charged by Julie. Thank you again Julie for your warmth, sharing Brian and a lovely stay. Love Theresa & Duane

Hednesford is located in Staffordshire Post town is CANNOCK with a Dialling codeof 01543 Hednesford (pronounced /ˈhɛnzfərd/ HENZ-fərd) is a small town and civil parish in Staffordshire, England, within Cannock Chase District. It adjoins Cannock Chase to the north, and the town of Cannock to the south. The town comprises three district council electoral wards whose populations in the 2011 census totalled 17,343.[1] It also comprises the civil parish of Hednesford and part of the civil parish of Brindley Heath. Hednesford was an important coal mining community for over a century. This is commemorated in the town centre, where a Miner's Lamp has been erected, surrounded by a wall with individual bricks giving the names of former miners. The oldest sections of the town surround the hilltop areas of the existing town; however, the lower part of the town became the focal point as the community grew with the mining industry. Between 1914 and 1918 two huge army training camps were built in the area and over a quarter of a million British and Commonwealth troops passed through destined for the Western Front. In 1938 a Royal Air Force training camp was established to train technicians in maintenance and repair of airframes and engines. No. 6 School of Technical training became better known as RAF Hednesford. The camp was later used for resettlement of Hungarian refugees fleeing from the Russian invasion of Budapest, in 1956. The site is now a part of Cannock Chase Country Park. The urban area of Hednesford now spreads across a swathe of the northern fringe of Cannock, from Pye Green across to Heath Hayes, and is the southern gateway to Cannock Chase AONB. Economically Hednesford has suffered since the 1980s as more people travel to the larger towns and cities nearby and due to the absence of redevelopment it retains a traditional street scene with many sole traders operating speciality shops. However, the area around Anglesey Square has been landscaped to provide a pleasant public space with a public clock as a central feature. A £50 million regeneration of the town centre has taken place, with an 80,000sq ft Tesco being the centre piece. Also, a new drill hall for the local Army Cadet Detachment, shops and bingo hall have been constructed. The Tesco site is known as Victoria Shopping Park and the Bingo/Aldi site as Chase Gateway. Currently, a £2.2 million grant, from Heritage Lottery Fund Grant, is being used to fund a massive refurbishment of Hednesford Park. Taken from Wikipedia

  • It’s Darren’s house so expect his stuff to be there. All the amenities work & he has a dishwasher. The bed is comfortable and he provides a bath towel. Electric shower works well and is hot. He has working space for a laptop in the main bedroom. Netflix is on the TV if you want it. There’s a 5 minute walk to a chippy around the corner or a drive to a Beefeater/Holiday Inn Kitchen is a bit small for 2 people to be in and working. Off street parking is enough for 2 cars if Darren isn’t there as well. We used it as a place to sleep and shower as we were away each day.
