  • I’ve stayed at this Airbnb twice now and it just keeps getting better! It’s the perfect getaway from the city. Kolton is a great host and is always quick to respond. The hot tub was perfect, the place is always clean, and all the little touches just make it the perfect place to stay. I honestly can not recommend this place enough!

They were very accommodating and responded promptly to any questions we had. Kolten and Tracy were superb hosts, and we truly appreciated our stay there!

  • This was our third visit and as always, we never leave disappointed! We get away for a semi annual couples weekend and there is not another place we would rather be. The place is always sparkling clean and the little upgrades each time are definitely noticed. Kolton is always quick to respond if you ever need anything. Perfect place for a little getaway! Can't wait to be back in another 6 months or so!

  • Wonderful place to stay! Kolton was so responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. The backyard w/hot tub, patio, was amazing and made for a great long weekend stay! We couldn’t have asked for anything better. Would definitely go back if we’re ever up there again. :)

  • The cottage is a very cozy place to stay in the winter. The hot tub is a nice addition to have, and the rest of the backyard would definitely be nice to use in warmer months! The house is well equipped with nearly everything we needed and the beds were very comfy to sleep.

    Gimli, MB, Canada

The Little Retreat in the Forest is your Canadian secluded, woodsy, magical pup friendly forest escape. A very short drive north of beautiful Gimli, down a long winding driveway, waiting for you to restore and disconnect. Nestled in the spruce, with all the amenities, plus a woodstove, lots of wood, hammocks, fire pits, hiking trails, BBQ, swimming/skating pond, snowshoeing, my vinyl collection and no TV. Just you on 80 acres of Forest. Find us on FB/Instagram at @littleretreatintheforest.
Hi there and welcome!! About my place! I love this place and I am sure you will too. It is a simple, beautiful house in the woods. I call it the "Forest" or the "Little Retreat". I am totally amazed at how many people (read reviews or the guest book and you'll see!) have just had awesome experiences reconnecting with their loved ones or themselves or nature when visiting. I guess it is how quiet and secluded is, but there is something amazing about the place. And I know that you love it because it is private, quiet and secluded and I will keep it that way :). I have tried to keep the look and feel of the old cabin it once was. Before hydro and running water, it is rumoured that it was occupied by an old trapper as rumours go! It has all the amenities now that it is a small suburban type house, except it is nestled on a beautiful 80 acres of spruce and aspen forest secluded down a 1/8 mile gravel driveway. Then there is the pond, and the new swimming pond with real sand. I like to think that your reasons for staying here is a lot like my reasons for finding and preserving and being creative with the place - it is to preserve the forest and the natural surroundings and the forest medicines, to be as much like a northern trapper or a prairie homesteader and live more off the land as possible, to seek some solace and disconnection from urban and everything electronic, and also to eventually have some more earth centered and environmentally friendly and creative options for accommodations set away in a private forest as kind of an oasis to reset or stop time, at least for a couple of days. I have a lot of plans for the future as well to make it even more of an amazing and whimsical oasis as guests call it, this year we worked on the campground by the tipi, and added a few new trails all marked really well. There are traditional Anishnaabe medicines in certain places in the forest that we have been told about too. I plan on adding a yurt and a few decks including a yoga deck when funds will allow. Oh and last year after putting in the new roads which you will see, they go to a couple secluded spots - we decked out the 1970s trailer I recently picked up for additional accommodations, all southern style – and check out our other listings. I also added an outdoor shower and an outdoor bathtub which people love (spring summer fall only!). I am working now on adding an environmentally friendly compost humanure toilet system/building for those of your group who are staying at the trailer or campsite or the tipi and voluntarily want to try it instead of using the cabin washroom – it is based on my explorations in southern Arizona and New Mexico. That’s just an option, your group can use the washroom in the cabin. And I forgot, there’s the two sailboats – one is the rustic one by the driveway which I will be moving to a different spot and renovating into a cabin for myself on the first road (you’ll see it when you drive in, it’s set aside for me to the left of where you first come in but you are welcome to check it out if I am not out). So I eventually I will also have an eclectic private set away place on the 80 acres of land for me to stay, separate from and a ways away from the cabin and the rest of the 80 acres that for you and your guests (to give you and idea how far away I’d be, if I am out (I’d let you know) you know how long a football field is? About 90 to 100 metres? The driveway is about 2 of those or 200 metres or so away from you, or a whole long city block, so I would be two football fields away from the cabin through dense forest! So if you go to the Winnipeg folk festival its about the distance from Main Stage to the popcorn vendor at the treeline at the back of the stage audience lol). I respect your privacy on the land and extremely conscientious of that, I know that’s why you’ve booked my place :). The second sailboat is a 22 foot gorgeous Tanzer and will be ready as an additional option as a place to stay for your more adventurous guests in your group by July 2020 ("Little Sailboat in the Forest"!). So you'll stay at my cabin “The Little Retreat in the Forest” which is the primary place to stay at, and last year I added the vintage trailer, Little Trailer in the Forest, and a fully furnished tipi, the Little Tipi in the Forest, and then the Little Sailboat in the Forest as I was saying! :). In keeping with the theme of small environmentally friendly alternative accommodations for you to try I also hope to put a tiny house or pod or two back out on the trails for you to visit and even stay a night if you choose, which will be completely off grid and rustic. And again just for you and your group to also book if you like. When my budget allows, year by year we are adding new and creative options for your group . Just a few things :). I think it is perfect for your holiday if you are intending on spending your days in Gimli yet to leave town at the end of the day and restore in a quiet retreat on 80 acres of forest. Just read the guest reviews. You can take a day trip by car to the beaches of Lake Winnipeg, but you get to retreat to the forest at the end of the day. I'd say this place is perfect if you want a retreat to restore at in the forest, just sit and listen to the aspen and poplar trees, watch for birds, look at wildflowers some even just off the driveway, and walk our rough trails (the main trail is almost 2 km according to our measurements) and paths - if you are looking for beach time and Lake Winnipeg isn't far either (you can drive 4 minutes, bike 20, or walk it, down to the end of the road where you will be secluded at the Lake at the end of our Road). In winter you can go skiing on the great ski trails of Camp Morton or hop on many local snowmobile trails that are close by! On our land you can grab the snowshoes we provide and go out on the trails or make your own trails, just don't get lost which is really easy to do! Oh and if tall grass (the yard and site and trails are being allowed to grow back in naturally with native grasses and plants and a few additions) and bugs (there are lots of them, depending upon the season, from wood ticks, mosquitoes, flies and all of mother nature's creations) bother you then maybe this isn't the place you are seeking out for your getaway :). A little bit more about my place and how it works to book the Little Retreat in the Forest! I will send you a detailed message closer to your stay with all kinds of information on my place, so hopefully I will answer your all questions! Message me anytime before your stay with any kind of question though! :). In the meantime please read the house manual and check out our social media pages. A little about Airbnb too if you are new to it… Most of the great really cool places on Airbnb you can book are good folks trying to make things available for different sorts of stays that you wouldn’t normally get to do, because they love sharing. I have stayed in quite a few alternative type places, from a vintage off grid trailer in the desert near Joshua Tree national park, a hut in the desert near Slab City CA (out of this world), an adobe home in Tucson Arizona, a sailboat in downtown Vancouver, a yurt in the mountains of northern Arizona, a tent at Monument Valley Utah, a float home and various cabins on Vancouver Island and Salt Spring Island, a school bus and a tiny house in Portland Oregon, an off grid Earthship in the high desert of Taos New Mexico, and various more standard type accommodations all using Airbnb. So more on the outdoor washroom – it has an actual vintage claw foot tub and an outdoor shower, all outdoors, nestled in the woods 100 feet away from the cabin. Just you and the deer. The plan is for adding a separate sink (I bought an older Victorian type sink from a house reno) and outdoor composting humanure outhouse building at a separate location on the land for the environmentally friendly option if you want to try it, you’ll see them down south in New Mexico and Arizona where folks have explored that. Or use the cabin washroom, it’s up to you. So right now as to accommodations options there’s also the Little Trailer in the Forest, a vintage trailer decorated in a southwestern style; and the Little Tipi in the Forest, a Tipi decorated Bohemian style with lights and a queen bed. Both will be available to your group to also book when you’ve booked the Little Retreat in the Forest - no other guests will be there. So you’ll have complete privacy. With the Little Retreat I am aiming at sharing with you the quintessential private Canadian woods experience at my home north of Gimli, Manitoba and also share some alternative type accommodations for those who want to try that sort of thing. So it’ll be private just for your group - I know how much you like booking my place and being private so I’m keeping it that way. If you have a group and want to book two separate accommodations, my plan is to make that happen. Check out my other listings for those options. More about my place. I'd say the setting is serene and what dreams are made of (if you're a nature lover). On the 80 acres you will find several ponds (oh my do watch for the mosquitoes in June and July!! :) ), rough trails I am working on that are flat in parts and that get your blood moving stepping over logs or rough ground in parts (if it is spring time bring your rubber boots it is the interlake boreal plains!!) and you might see deer roaming around. I have made one pond into a swimmable pond, about 4 feet deep and fairly long, and you can float around in a kayak or swim. I even added sand so there is a beach now :). So just relax or go for a swim, but it totally works and you'll have a blast. The clay bottom is actually really nice and soft on the toes, it's really soft clay just like the spa! The house has all the modern day comforts but as John Prine directed me, I threw out the TV :) but kept the guitar and banjo lol (seriously!). I did however, equip the house with good satellite Wifi and two WiFi networks in case you need it an you are outside the cabin (works up to 400 feet away I am told). The cabin has two bedrooms - one with a very comfy king bed, and one with a great queen bed (there's a kitschy old tv and VHS tapes in the closet but don't tell the kids or they will spend all their time on it lol?). We also have the double futon bed/couch in the living room, and a single futon chaise. So that makes up to 7 people sharing beds including the bedrooms. I’ve brought out a twin day bed for a group that needed another bed, and there’s a cot, and a playpen if you have a newborn - it’s a little cozy with 7 people so make sure you are OK with that and you really like each other :). So we can sleep a total of 7 comfortably I’d say and a little cozy (see pictures of the cabin it’s not a huge place, especially if it’s raining outside and you have to stay in!) if those work for you! It’s a cabin but really a modern house, with running water from the well and a full bathroom including a tub and all the electricity you need, with a full kitchen with cooking implements like any suburban house and stove, oven and microwave and electric kettle, drip coffee maker and a french press, coffee grinder, blender, Soda Stream, my older juicer, tons of utensils, really cool glassware including martini glasses and parfaits, a selection of teas in the cupboard, coffee beans, filtered water dispenser for drinking water, a dishwasher (although hand washing dishes seems to save water and is easier on the holding tank!). There is also the old cabinet record player which plays awesome, so bring some of your vinyl! My old collection is there including some old hank Williams, talking heads, rolling stones, bob dylan, van morrison and other cool stuff. There are 2 decks to choose from, depending on whether you are wanting sun or shade throughout the day. At night I love to cozy up inside with a nice fire in the woodstove and read or just chill. The west one is big enough for yoga or just laying around and hanging out. Yes I love the woodstove and so do most folks that come out, go outside and chop some wood amongst the spruce trees with no other people in sight. Just except the stars at night, be what you imagine it’s like in some remote cabin (you kinda are, once it’s dark it’s pretty dark and the neighbours are really far away). With that, and I really try and take it seriously (ask my mom!), is cleaning. Now there’s dust and soot of course, and the walls end up with black marks from people’s days there, which we try and wipe up between guests as much as possible, and we have a cleaner from a nearby town and it gets cleaned (beds made, rooms vacuumed, water checked, kitchen cleaned) sometimes a few times a week, so it’s pretty clean. We do ask guests to tidy and wipe, and wash your dishes for the next guests (and me), but we do all the rest. Just bring yourselves, your food, and whatever you think will make your stay fun. We provide a bunch of cool stuff, from bikes in summer (two were cruisers from my parents), five sets of snowshoes and kid ones for winter, plus inside the cabin there’s games (including scrabble), cool books and the vinyl. Even a Bluetooth iPod dock but you’re staying way from technology right? There’s a meditation cushion, a essential oil dispenser and some tester oils. Or buy one or a tea, I thought they’d maybe help your stay - from Chad and Nancy at Hollow Reed in the city. Where to go from there? It is also only about a 5 minute drive to the end of the road at Lake Winnipeg, or you can bike which I'd say is about 15 minutes and I provide a couple good bikes too :). There may be a couple other people there at most but that is it, so pretty private. It’s not grand beach and a stony shore and you’ll need water shoes to swim, but to sit it’s beautiful and you can walk the shore for a long time without seeing people. Or drive into Gimli 10 minutes away and go to the busy public beaches and check out the scene or get some awesome food. Best of both worlds. Or if its winter go to the awesome and fairly renowned Camp Morton ski trails which are groomed really well by a local group. If you stick close to home there’s lots to do. Your group will be the only guests on the 80 acres, the trails, beach, and wandering around (please be careful especially if you go off a trail, trust me, especially on a cloudy day or night, you can get easily turned around and lost). At a lot of Airbnbs you meet the host and they show you around. I say it under guest interaction on the Airbnb page too, at mine I leave you to it yourselves. Sometimes a neighbour may drop by (but they generally know there’s guests and when I’m around or not), you know rural life everyone knows when you drive by lol. I love the land and love camping and Van life too, so in summer I get away from the city. I might park and camp my VW Westfalia the odd night 1/8 mile away from the cabin (at the north end of the 80 acres of land, the first road like I was saying above) or be working on my sailboat/cabin on the first road here and there. But you’ll know from me ahead of time. I always message about my guests about everything and communication with me and being available for you if you need it is super important to me (and so is privacy if you don’t need to communicate and you got the instructions all sorted I will just message you before check in and at check out!). And like I was saying above I’m working on setting the place up to be associated with a few other cool places to stay on the land, right now for group bookings at the same time as the cabin. Check out my Instagram page too at @littleretreatintheforest and the Facebook page.
Your closest neighbors are about an 1/8th of a mile away on either side so I don't imagine you will have much interaction with them. Sometimes rural folks do drop in and are interested in seeing if we need anything done but those interactions are usually fairly minimal and they know not to come by unless I have invited them. It is possible someone might come by to see if the driveway needs plowing in winter or the like, but it’s so seldom at that.
  • Third time staying at the Retreat and it was as lovely and magical as always! Got to see a beautiful snowfall and gorgeous full moon. Lots of wonderful walks in the woods with our pup who absolutely adores staying here. Clean, welcoming, cozy, well stocked with everything you could need, and Michael is always quick to respond to questions. It's a quick drive to Gimli so we checked out the Ice Festival going on, ate at Ship & Plough, and enjoyed a couple trips to Flatland Coffee (our fav coffee!). Such a peaceful space to relax, unwind, connect with nature, and get inspired. We look forward to coming back again soon <3

  • The retreat is cozy, welcoming, and well cared for. Well, stocked with basic amenities, and a great collection of records, books and games, it's a great place to unwind and connect especially under the quilts while the wood stove is burning. Close enough to Gimli and Winnipeg to be convenient, you still feel secluded in among the trees. Michael is a great host who is very communicative and accommodating. Walking through the snowy forest was a great way to enjoy winter, and we can imagine that it would be equally delightful in the summer!

    Amy2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful place to get away that is still close to the city. This is my second winter trip and the roads are all very accessible. The Little Retreat is the perfect place to re-charge.

    Rachel2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second trip to Camp Morten, beautiful, completely private with so many amenities. Very grateful for our short time there.

    Melissa2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • We love every minute we spend at Michael’s little retreat. This was our second visit of what will likely become an annual tradition. The trails are brilliant for winter walks with the pup and the cabin is relaxing and has everything one might need. We love our evenings in front of the stove with vintage tunes playing from the old record player. Communication with Michael is easy and comfortable. We recommend this retreat to anyone looking for a bit of respite.

    Carrie2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to get away from the world, and enjoy the magic of the forest.

    Karen2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • We had the loveliest weekend away from the city at Michael’s cabin. I would highly recommend it if you are looking for a place to unwind and disconnect

    Danielle2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • The Little Retreat in the Forest is exactly that. If you are looking for a place to just get away from it all, I would HIGHLY recommend this place. Michael is a great host, and he provides quick responses and gives very detailed information about the cabin, the land and different activities to do during your stay. The cabin itself is so cozy and welcoming. It feels very much like a home away from home. We brought our two dogs with us, and they loved running around on the trails and by the time we would get back to the cabin they were exhausted! (this doesn't happen often with our Husky's). I honestly cannot say enough good things about this place. If you are looking for somewhere to go and just relax and reconnect with nature, this is absolutely perfect!

We really enjoyed our time in the hot tub overlooking the lake, and we were able to easily relax and spend the weekend reading and watching movies. Jamie was quick to respond when needed and I would highly recommend staying here.

  • Great home base for an ice-fishing weekend. Comfortable beds, modern and well-stocked kitchen. Cozy space and toasty warm by the fire (supply your own kindling and firewood, available at nearby stores). One minor note: the listed amenities include a TV; there is indeed a large television set but there is no television service. A small selection of DVDs is provided but we would have brought our own movies if we'd known.

The cabin comes fully equipped with linens (except for bath/beach towels), cookware, dinnerware, booster seat, playard/bassinet/changing table, sand toys, step2 wagon, sports toys (soccer ball, football, baseball mitts, frisbee, nerf ball), and complimentary coffee and tea (food/meals are not provided). Guests will enjoy the comfort of the newly installed ductless air conditioning/heating units. The cabin features a 200sq ft sunroom which has ample seating for the entire family or a large group of friends. The sunroom also has a cabinet stocked full of kids’ toys, books, puzzles, paper for colouring and a good selection of markers/crayons. Within view of the sunroom is an exceptional 300 sq ft playground where kids can let their imaginations run wild. A beautiful outdoor firepit area with a stunning light display, a wide front deck with patio set that seats 6, a children’s picnic table and access to BBQ (propane provided). The cabin has a beautiful rustic charm.
Wanasing Beach is located east of Victoria Beach and northwest of Albert Beach. Wanasing Beach is not frequented by tourists as its key points of beach access are walk-in only and no parking is permitted on the roads. Which means that only the cabins in the surrounding area will be frequenting the beach. As the cabin is located near the tip of the peninsula/end of highway 59, the cabin experiences less traffic when compared to other parts of Highway 59. I have upgraded all of the main windows to double panes to reduce highway noise (speed limit is 70km/h when approaching the cabin location). For those guests who are light sleepers, I provide complimentary earplugs to improve your stay.
  • A lovely retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city. Easy access to beautiful views of Lake Winnipeg and surrounding trails. We enjoyed the cozy feel of the space with everything we needed! The Sundae Bar was a nice treat even for the chillier fall weather! Would recommend to friends & family who want a weekend getaway with or without a furry friend!

    Eric2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful hosts! The cabin had lots of games and movies, and the sundae station was a really nice touch. We really enjoyed our stay.

    Vanessa2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Mark and Melissa's place was wonderful. It rained much of the weekend we were there, but there was so much to do inside. The kids loved the selection of movies, the toys, board games and especially the sundae station! We especially loved having fires in the wood stove. So many thoughtful touches in this home, including labels in each room, and on every light switch and remote. Super helpful. The hosts were also very communicative as we arrived just after a big storm. They kept us updated after the power went out and checked in to make sure everything was okay when we arrived. We are always looking for cozy, dog-friendly places to stay. This one is a winner. We would definitely stay again!

    Julie2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Mark & Melissa are AMAZING HOSTS! They knocked our socks off with their rental, communication, and attention to detail. We, as a family had a fabulously fun, and rejuvenating time at your gem of a cabin! There was something for everyone to do, or not do at all...lol. It is telling when you have teenagers who do not complain about not having technology...they are already asking when we can go back. The beach was heaven on earth, the cabin itself, and everything in it, was inviting, cozy, and squeaky clean! It had everything, and more than what we needed for a successful, enjoyable getaway from home! We will definitely be going back next summer!

    Jeannine2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • It’s evident that Mark and Melissa have put a lot of time, effort and money into their wonderful cabin!! There were so many unexpected and thoughtful touches throughout the property!! They have thought of everything!! My friend and I spent a few days there and were thrilled we could bring our dogs!! The weather was not great and we spent most of the time indoors, but the time flew by as the cabin was so well stocked with activities. It was clean and everything was clearly labelled. Definitely will be returning!!

    Tammy2019-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Expect to be amazed. You will have everything you need and more to make beautiful memories. Great host. Great place. DOG FRIENDLY!🐕 less than 5min to beach. Beautiful firepit area. Cute footwash station. Just perfect. Will be back. Yu should really check it out. You wont be disappointed

    Martha2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Like the name says... This cabin is wonderful. It is very clean and organized. The bedrooms are cozy with plenty of blankets to go around. The kitchen is spacious and the spice rack came in handy. We cannot forget to mention the delicious ice cream sundae bar that was available...nice touch, I might add! The close proximity to the beach was a highlight. Melissa and Mark's thoughtfulness in making sure their guests (including those with fur) are comfortable goes above and beyond expectation. We would recommend this pet friendly cabin to anyone and we would gladly stay here again!

Most people love nature but hate the inconveniences and discomforts that come with camping. This is where we come in. Right on the water, surrounded by natural, virgin forests, we created 5-star accommodation for those who want to enjoy nature in comfort. One and half hours north of Winnipeg, this gem is great for water recreation with a public boat launch a mere 3 km away and Hecla Resort with 18-hole golf course and restaurants less than an hour's drive. Come spoil your family or friends.
  • This was lovely spot to stay. There is well maintained path to the beach, and perfect spot to hang out. We saw so much wildlife from there, including a family of otters, two bald eagles nesting near by, and many birds fishing in the area. The area was very quiet and private which is what we were looking for. The cabin is gorgeous and filled with anything you could need for your stay. The climate control was great for visiting at a time of year with changing temperatures. Great fire pit as well! Thank you Francis for the wonderful spot to spend time at.

  • Beautiful cabin, beautiful location, it was the perfect getaway!

    Jessica2019-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Great modern place. Had tons of amenities, right by the beach, private, quiet & relaxing. Recommend 100%

    Tamara2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • We had an incredible stay at Francis’s cabin. It was clean, spacious, quiet, and the perfect escape from the daily grind. The lot is very well maintained, and the lake view and beach were spectacular. We appreciated the ping pong, movies, and video games, as we had our teenage boys with us! If you are looking for some peace and quiet on a beautiful property, this is the place for you. We’d go back in a heartbeat.

    Kelli2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • The pictures don’t do this cabin justice. Amazingly clean. Super peaceful spot. If you forgot to bring anything, guaranteed what you forgot was in a drawer somewhere. The cabin and outside area is quite large so even if you go with a large group you don’t feel cramped at all.

    Angela2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • It was an awesome second stay at Francis place. The last time we where in the wintertime there and this time in summer and we will come back. Francis is a great host.

  • Great family weekend getaway. Quiet location with a secluded beach on the bay. Bugs were not as bad as we had thought they might be. Cabin was spacious and accommodated 6. High chair was a bonus and the flat green space for a two year old to run was wonderful. No worries on safety, very child friendly. Will recommend.

The beds are very comfortable, there are many places to sit and relax in the yard, the outdoor bathroom is so neat and everything you may need for your stay is available to you. Lisa and Glen are very helpful and offer suggestions of things to do around town. We loved our time in Gimli and would stay here again 100 percent! It was a peaceful and relaxing getaway.

  • We stayed for two nights at Lisa's guest cottage at the end of August. The place is beautiful! The cottage is charming and cozy. It sleeps 2 people and there is an additional small cabin that has a fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, etc. The decor is really lovely. We enjoyed looking at all the knick knacks, artwork etc. The Mona Lisa shower curtain on the outdoor shower is a nice touch! This was such a wonderfully unique place to stay and I would recommend this to anyone visiting Gimli in the summer. The location is great, just a short walk to the beach. Lisa was a great host, very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Thanks again!

  • This cabin was spacious and cozy. Fire pit area was excellent with lots of chairs. Lots of fridge space. Kitchen equipped with everything. Two thumbs up!

    Sonja2019-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • Cory's cabin was very cozy and had plenty of room for our group of eight to hang out in the living room, eat in the dining room, sit by the fire and sleep. The second fridge was very useful and we had everything we needed in the kitchen to make our meals (just couldn't find the can opener). Check in was easy, directions were clear, and Cory was very responsive to all of my messages. We would definitely come back!

    Jacqueline2019-06-02T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful cabin in a great location. Great wee store nearby with LC. Cabin well equipped with cookware and such. Water cooler. Wii, many board games and movies to choose from. Big table so everyone can eat and game together. Great deck to soak up the sun and plenty of seating around fire pit to share stories with your crew. We didn't know that towels weren't provided so we were glad we weren't staying for longer than we did as showers were needed ha! Bring towels!:) You'll love this place!

    Cassandra2019-04-20T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is big and great for a large group. As advertised, bring all your own linens including towels, dish cloths, pillows, blankets, etc, which is a bit inconvenient. The place was clean, communication was quick and helpful. Lots of fun stuff to do inside like board games and Wii and the kitchen is very well-equipped. The place was easy to access and driveway was shoveled but don't forget to bring a long extension cord to plug in in cold temps. The guy at the convenience store nearby is also very helpful with local tips.

    Emma2019-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice place for some good family time. Lots of room. Kitchen had pretty much everything but be reminded to bring linens, towels and drinking water.

My cabin has a very magical feel to it. I’ve put a lot of love & thought into it & when you are spending time here you will see that it truly is a happy place. The screened in porch out back is great for listening to music, the birds, hanging with friends or reading! Smoke all you want back here as the screens clear it quickly. Absolutely no smoking inside. BBQ is on the deck. Aux for music inside- speakers are in the porch & cabin, also I have a record player. please handle with care! Thank you
When you walk in the front porch there is a washer and dryer, deep freeze, tools, beach bags and coolers etc, walk through the kitchen which is equipped with spices, and all cookware, coffee & filters provided as well. Kitchen table is huge and is so fun to have dinner parties or games nights! Bathroom has a tub and shower and is on the main floor, both bedrooms are fully enclosed- one on main floor and one upstairs, loft is huge and has a pull out couch, another couch and twin bed. This is the tv room- I have tons of movies and a DVD player. You can also rent more at the store. The back porch is my favourite room- so peaceful and you can relax out there. Enjoy!!
Located just a 2 minute walk to the water, 7 minute walk to the parking lot, and the store, bakery, moonlight inn, and the tennis courts! Clubhouse beach is 10 minutes walk. I have a few bikes for you to use! There is a large wagon under the cabin that is great for loading groceries from the car at the parking lot. Beach taxis are an alternative. The birchwood motor hotel and bar is 8 Km away, there are two gift shops located on the highway between VB and Traverse Bay corner, movies can be rented there or at the store in VB. Albert beach is about 3 km and also has a store, restaurant and ice cream shop.
  • Aug 20-27, 2019 My husband and I, my daughter and 3 grandkids spent a week in Amy’s Magic cabin and we were not disappointed. The cabin is very comfortable, cozy and fully supplies. We appreciated the beach accessories to visit a few beaches in the neighborhood. The best room in the cabin is the screen in porch at the back. Every morning, I enjoyed my first cup of coffee in the porch while the family was sleeping and listen to the birds. We walk to the beach every night to watch amazing sunsets. We played board games with the kids that were in the cabin and finished the evening with some wine in the porch. We played tennis everyday and were grateful for the many bikes that were provided. Handy to go to the bakery, store or the Moonlight Cafe which are all within walking distance. Amy was in touch with us while we stayed in the cabin, making sure all was good. I would totally recommend this cabin for any age group. Sit back, enjoy and relax! Thanks Amy😀

    Monic2019-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Amy’s cabin is really great!! Lots of space if you have a larger group but also works really well for a small family (as we have). Amy is super friendly and very quick to respond to messages! Overall we had a great time! Definitely recommend!

    Andrea2019-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great location in the restricted section of Victoria Beach. Clean with comfortable beds, Amy responded quickly to any questions or requests. There were several bikes available for use and a fantastic screened room that was excellent to enjoy the evening in away from the bugs. We were thankful for the air conditioning because it was so warm out. Thanks Amy!

    Mike2019-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • Amy's cabin is very clean, great kitchen, clean bathroom, comfortable beds. The screen room is ideal for hanging out without bugs and is a large comfortable space. The beds are comfortable, and rooms are nicely decorated. It exceeded our expectations. Bikes are a must for VB and it was nice that she had some so that we didn't have to bring all of ours. I would make sure to pack yourselves tennis rackets as it is a very popular thing to do in VB. Great to have laundry in the cabin as well! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit!

  • We have stayed in other cabins and this was by far our best experience (great cabin and great host)! Things are very well organized, she offered a lot of extra little touches and the kitchen had everything we needed. Would definitely rent again.

    Chris2019-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is truly magical, located in a secluded and private location - the photos do not do it justice. We loved how welcoming, functional and well thought out it was. Amy was an awesome host and was always available if and when we had questions, like arranging for the delivery of a new propane tank for the barbecue. We loved that a wagon and several bikes were provided - very handy for carrying stuff and getting around the large Victoria Beach community. The cabin was perfect for the two of us but it could be crowded if there are more than four people. Come and enjoy this place for yourself!

  • Our stay at Amy’s magic cabin was amazing. We couldn’t have asked for a better lake spot for the Canada day long weekend. From the moment you walk in, the love and care she has put into this place is evident, down to the last detail. Our family and friends would love to return again! Highly recommend if you’re looking for little lake life experience.

This cottage has an open concept main area with natural wood interior finish. The outside has log siding. It can comfortably accommodate 2 small families. The property has many pine trees and a fire pit for use. In summer, the popular Grand Beach is a 10 minute drive away. In winter Balsam Harbour is a 15 minute drive to do ice fishing. It is not within walking distance to a public beach. A quiet retreat and a wonderful place to make family memories.
This cottage is in a quiet neighbourhood, away from the city, in the pines of Belair Provincial Forest. It is a 5 minute drive to the Belair Convenience Store (gas, movies, light groceries & snacks) 5 minutes to Lester Beach, 10 minutes to Hillside Beach and a 15 min drive to the popular public Grand Beach
Most of the neighbours here are retired folks who are quiet. The cottage is in a bay with government crown land in the center.
  • Great place to stay for a fishing trip and probably a summer trip too!

  • Stella's cabin is so beautiful, clean and comfortable! It has everything you could possible need but still has a rustic feel to it. The wood burning stove is such a nice touch in the winter months. Great open layout with lots of counter space. We had such a lovely time and would certainly love to come back again. Would highly reccomend to anyone wanting a winter getaway like we did! Stella was also so quick to respond with questions and was very accomodating! Thank you again!

Sunny southeast exposure on a large private property surrounded by lawn & woods (direct private beach access). Close by - large sandy beach, fishing dock, boat launch and handy Hnausa General Store. (Please do not remove any books).
New in 2019 - Simon’s Beautyrest mattresses for comfortable sleeping experiences. New in 2018 - Hammock on the front lawn. (Available July to Sept - please use at your own risk. Max 200 lbs). And a new path at the front left of the Log Cottage which leads north to a very nice private beach. This is a real log cottage manufactured by Colonial Log Mills in 1984. The quaint cottage includes furnishings appropriate to cottage life plus modern conveniences you enjoy at home. Beds are of high quality and comfortable. Views of the lake are spectacular with especially nice sunrise and evening lake views. The front lawn is well suited for games of badminton, croquet or just relaxation in the shade or sunshine.
Our location is very private with a wide range of wild life including Bald Eagles, Pelicans, Deer and a range of other local birds and waterfowl. New in 2019 - Simon’s Beautyrest mattresses for comfortable sleeping experiences. New additional baseboard heating systems with thermostat controls - for extra comfort in early spring / late fall rentals. New in 2018 - Hammock on the front lawn. (Available July to Sept - please use at your own risk. Max 200 lbs). And a new path at the front left of the Log Cottage which leads north to a very nice private beach. New in 2017 - a General Store has opened at Hnausa at the corner of Highway 9 and Highway 68 (the road to Arborg). This is a handy location (15 minute walk from the cottage) for general supplies including Propane for the BBQ if needed, ice cream, newspapers, groceries, authentic Icelandic gifts and a new eat in or take out restaurant. Arborg is a quaint town located 16 Kms away (directly west of Hnausa on Hwy 68) which features a Public Waterslide pool for children and adults plus access to restaurants, Pharmacy/Liquor Store, grocery, gas station, Library, Post Office, CIBC bank, local pub/Hotel, Home Hardware and the Westshore Marine Store (Yamaha dealer). Day trips to the Hecla Provincial Park are especially fun with visits to beautiful Gull Harbour and walks to the Gull Harbour lighthouse or to the limestone cliffs of Sunset Bay. Hecla also offers an excellent public golf course with some holes overlooking Lake Winnipeg. Our original family cottage (built in 1892) was located at the foot of the Gull Harbour bay. Sadly it was expropriated by the Province and demolished in 1972. In 1972 we purchased our land at Hnausa and started over again
  • Wonderful summer cottage, steps from Lake Winnipeg. Perfect family getaway.

  • Our host, Fred, was quick to respond, willing to answer questions about using the Air BNB platform, and provided excellent directions to the cabin. This log cottage hideaway is the prefect place to relax and rest. It is clean and well appointed with all the things you need for a comfortable stay. The grounds and waterfront location are second to none, with Lake Winnipeg wrapping around the yard on two sides. There is a sandy beach and a rocky waterfront view, take your pick! Fred has supplied some pretty awesome lawn furniture that is comfortable and easy to move about if needed. The Hnausa store is about a mile away for those little things you forgot and Hecla resort and golf course is a twenty five minute drive north. You can be really lazy or you can be active and engaged in this peaceful Lake Winnipeg location. We so much enjoyed our stay we will book some time again next year. Thank you Fred!

Nearly 2 acres located on the West Shore of Lake Winnipeg, Our Mill Creek Cottage is the perfect hide-a-way from the grind. The guest cottage is now available for rent and is a 1br building with loft. The loft is open air and has 2 beds accessible by ladder. There is a sofa bed in the living room sleeping a maximum of 8 people who are out for a weekend get-away, hunting or ice-fishing. The cottage has a wood burning stove and in-suite laundry. The Main Cottage is not built yet.
This space is being designed as a vacation rental. We just finished the screened outdoor living/dining room this spring (12’ x 24’). There is no tv or wifi - time to unplug and truly relax! Spotty cell service. Outdoor beach space is AMAZING. Hammocks are strung up near the beach with 2 beach fire-pits. Inflatable toys available. Sand Beach with rocky walk-out, watershoes recommended for our immediate area beach. The soft silky sand beach is a short walk away. Please Note, AirBnB somehow can't list the property address correctly. it is NOT IN RIVERTON but 45 km NORTH OF RIVERTON in the Mill Creek Beaches subdivision. Please look closely at the map.
Mill creek beaches is a cottage subdivision on the shore of lake Winnipeg. Located north of beaver creek provincial park and south of pine dock. The beach faces mostly south-east so we get the most spectacular sunrise! Grab a cup of coffee and sit in a hammock down by the lake to soak it in. The area does feel quite isolated as the subdivision only has a few cabins in it. There have been a few bear sightings and the local bald eagle family is a few lots over.
  • We spent 3 nights at the bnb as newlyweds. It was nothing short of amazing! The space is exactly as advertised, the walk to the water is cleared for use and lit with string lights, and if you forgot anything, they likely have it for purchase. We played games, read good books, and cooked over the fire. We will be back!!!

  • This is such a sweet, cozy little place. ♥️ It has everything one would need. It was very clean too! I would definitely recommend this place to others! It definitely made us change gears and slow down.... and breathe in :) You can tell that it had a lot of love and thought put into the building and decorating. Also- having an emergency minibar with wine and snacks is so great in case you ever need anything. A smart idea! Thanks again!

    Kris2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Peaceful and quiet getaway with a beautiful lake view. We really enjoyed the screened in gazebo, having bonfires and being surrounded by nature. Would be a great place to stay any time of year!

    Ashley2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I loved the space! It was a much needed escape from the city and had all the things we needed! You can tell they make the extra effort to ensure their guests are happy. Despite it raining the first two days, we were stress free and it felt like we had the whole lake/area to ourselves. :)

    Jared2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was fantastic. Such a beautiful cabin and property. Everything was easy to find, well labelled and hosts were easy to contact with any questions. Enjoyed nights by the fire, games in the gazebo, and canoeing on the lake. The outdoor shower was awesome too! Can’t wait to stay again and tell everyone about our amazing trip!

    Amy2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is beautiful. We went during bug season, which at times there were quite a few of, but due to the great screened in area, and the spacious cabin, me and the three others I were with had plenty of space to be together and enjoy ourselves. Would definitely recommend it!

    Daniel2019-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • Such a lovely and clean cottage. Amazing attention to detail. Would highly recommend :)

    Carly2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • We have had a very great and relaxing stay at the cabin. We saw deers, pelicans, many lovely birds, a white headed sea eagle and a natural forest. The cabin is a neet place, everything in you need, lovely fireplaces outside, a fine porche which protects you from getting bites, a canoe to travel on the lake. Many fine details. The steep latter to the 2 beds in the attic was no problem for our 17teen year old. We recommend this place a lot.

This quiet lakefront cabin has stunning views and a cozy feel and two brand new decks (including lakeview). The cabin lakefront with access to the shore and is within walking distance to a sandy beach. Beach chairs, toys and wagon are provided. Inside is tastefully decorated with knotty pine, new carpets and Indigenous and local artwork. Everything you need is here. For longer stays a housekeeping service can be provided. It’s a 3 minute drive to Albert Beach & 5 minute drive to Hillside Beach.
The entire cabin is available. One bedroom has a queen size bed, the second bedroom has two twins plus a toddler size bed. There is an alcove living room with a queen size futon. There are two couches, one in the living room and one in the sunroom. There are two decks on either side of the house. One is lake view. We have a private beach but it is rocky and a bit of a steep climb to get down. There is a beach that is in walking distance or you can drive 3 minutes to Albert Beach or Hillside Beach. Both of those beaches have good restaurants, stores and gas stations. There is a nearby laundromat and the cabin comes with an outdoor drying rack for towels and bathing suits.
We are close to Albert Beach (3 minute drive), Hillside Beach (5 minutes), Victoria Beach (10 minutes) and Grand Beach (15 minutes).
  • Jamie's cottage in Traverse Bay is perfect and has everything you would need for a lovely stay. The cottage sits directly on the waterfront, with decks on both sides of the house and a firepit out front. The cottage's charm is evident the moment you step in. The main living area consists of an open kitchen/living room arrangement with two comfortable sofas and a large TV for watching movies. There are two good-sized bedrooms and a full bath. My favourite room was the second living room at the very front of the cottage looking onto the lake where the sun shines through and you can hear the waves from the lake. This room also has a dining room table (there are also tables on each of the decks for dining al fresco). The area of Traverse Bay has several cottages, yet maintains a feeling of privacy. There are several cottage communities nearby, including the 'back in time' Victoria Beach, so you will have your choice of many excellent beaches to chose from. Restaurants nearby include: the Birchwood Inn (excellent breakfasts), Hillside Beach Eatery (homemade pizzas!) and Le Gouter (French creperie). Jamie was an excellent communicator and answered any questions I had promptly. This is your perfect getaway!

    Beau2019-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was very clean and comfortable. The lake view is gorgeous and the Indigenous art on display is stunning and so well suited to the area! The location was perfect for exploring other nearby beaches and the climb down to the (rocky) beach wasn't nearly as difficult as I thought it would be. The sunrise on this side of the bay is incredible and certainly worth waking up for. Jaime was excellent at quickly responding to questions before I booked and also checked in with us just before and during our stay to make sure everything was going smoothly. Checking in was easy and we had a wonderful time!

  • Great place to relax. Beautiful, clean, with a very considerate host. Bebe had even done some extra research for us on where some cross country trails are located.

    Roslyn2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Bebe’s place had all the amenities and more! Every aspect of her place was great, my boyfriend and I stayed there for a quick little weekend getaway and we loved it. The weather wasn’t great while we were there but never got bored staying inside, plenty of games, dvds, and books provided for extra entertainment. Her place was very easy to find, yet still very private. Check in was easy, the space was very clean, and we were impressed with all the extra touches that Bebe has provided for the space! Definitely will stay again!

  • A great place to unwind and relax with family and friends. The cabin is clean and comfortable with lots of space for everyone. Derrick was easy to deal with and always responded quickly to all messages.

    Scott2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • We felt right at home in Derrick’s cozy but spacious cottage. It was such a comfortable place to relax as a young family. We loved exploring the shoreline in front of the cottage and watching the full moon rise over the lake in the evening. Derrick provided all the amenities needed to fully enjoy his place such as bug spray, firewood, lawn games and much more. We loved the privacy of the property and liked that it was just a 15 minute drive to Gimili, we enjoyed the restaurants there.

  • Derrick's place was amazing. It was everything a family, group of friends or anyone could need. A wonderful location that was tucked away serenely but easy access for morning walks on the shore. We even did Spruce Sands beach for a day- barely 10 minutes away. Anyone that chooses derricks place will find a little piece of heaven. Thank you Derrick.

    Stephanie2019-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • This BnB is the typical family rustic cottage getaway On the water, that offers movies games and close fishing. The pelicans are a short distance. A Beautiful place to relax by the water and close enough to town. Definitely recommend this BnB.

    Adam2019-06-06T00:00:00Z
  • Derrick went above and beyond to make our family comfortable. The cabin has a cool “retro” vibe, and is very well maintained. We found the beds comfortable, and enjoyed the screened porches and direct access to the lake. Honestly, our stay went beyond what we expected, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this space or host. Thanks, Derrick!

Your cosy getaway to the massive inland prairie ocean! Very private and heavily treed lot; lots of shade and sunshine. Birds singing, gentle breeze through the trees, sometimes the sound of waves crashing. The "cabbage" (cabin + cottage = cabbage) is perfect for a family, a girls' getaway, a romantic retreat. The decor is rustic farmhouse meets beach house. This is our own family getaway so the place has everything you need for a fun vacation!
We ask guests to bring their own bed linens and beach towels to help us keep the cleaning costs low. We supply pillows and duvets/comforters. We keep extra kitchen and bathroom supplies in case you forget something :)
Lester Beach is a very friendly beach community. Many families have been here for generations. The community is part of the larger "Eastern Beaches" area and there are many amenities in the nearby communities (10-15 mins accessible by car).
  • The place was easy to find, walking distance to the beach and the place was nice with lots of personal touches. We love and enjoyed the place. The only thing downsides are bringing our own linens and disposing garbages. We stayed for 5 days (6 ppl) and to bring the garbages with us back in the city in a full van is very inconvenient & unpleasant. Overall place was very nice just hope there is a better way to dispose garbage.

This summer we will be renting out tipis for guests to stay in overnight. The tipis will be set up in the field on the grounds of a former summer camp. A community campfire *may* be available in the evenings, depending on the fire-ban situation as this season has been very dry. This is basic camping, with outhouses and nothing else really supplied. You must bring all bedding, blankets, food, (there is a restaurant within a ten minute walk) and anything else you need for a comfortable stay. )
The Hummingbird tipi is a small size tipi, about ten feet across. It would be suitable for one, two or three people. Three is a lot!
This is a really nice area to visit in the summer. Beaches everywhere! Hillside Beach is a five minute walk. Victoria Beach, Albert Beach and Grand Beach are some of the other nearby beaches.
  • Great place to relax, stargaze. Beach is close. Had a great time here

This guest suite is a full house attached to our main house with a shared entrance and yard. Other than that we give you complete privacy. It's located in a quiet part of town tucked into the trees with a river and walking path across the street. It would be perfect if your travelling here for work or visiting relatives. This guest suite was once a chicken coop, now turned into a modern mid-century style house that we lovingly have called the Hobbit House because of it's low ceilings.
The Hobbit House is a full house. It has 1 living room with a door that can be shut to create it's own room. There is space for a double air mattress or single mattress to be added in the living room. One dining table in the common living space area . It has a bar counter in the kitchen. There are 4 dining chairs and seating for 5 in the living room. It has one bathroom and 1 laundry/mudroom. And it has 2 cozy bedrooms each with a queen bed and 1 lounge chair. One bedroom also has a workspace area. This house is attached to the main house where we as your hosts live, but we will give you full privacy other than a shared entrance. Since it once was a chicken coop, it has ceilings only 6'3". The shower is a cozy 26" x 32" x 6'1". This house is comfortable for 2 adults. We would recommend not more than 4 adults but if you're feeling close it could sleep up to 7 people. This place would be perfect if your travelling for work or visiting relatives. We also think it would be a perfect individual artist retreat or a couple getaway. There's a treed in backyard available for you to relax in. It includes a fire pit and several picnic tables. You'll find a massive apple tree in the center that is in full bloom in May.
Arborg is a quiet town with the a walking trail by the Icelandic River right across the street. During the winter the river becomes a skating trail. Just a walk away on Main Street you can find our favourite coffee shop, Ria Coffee. As well as Arborg bakery with the best donuts and soft ice cream. During the summer, you'll want to take your kids to Arborg's water park by the Rec Center. Just 15 minutes from us is Lake Winnipeg and 35 minutes is Gimli, a beach town.

Warm and welcoming cottage situated across from Silver Harbour Marina, just 15 minutes north of Gimli, 75 minutes north of Winnipeg and within walking distance to beaches, fishing and public docks. Hot tub, fire pit, large deck, air conditioning and peaceful location make this a perfect getaway.
The cottage is on a 3/4 acre treed property, with a creek running through the back in a peaceful location. Its a small but comfortable space,
Silver Harbour is a quiet, retirement and family-oriented community, so we appreciate guests who come to relax. It's a perfect getaway for couples or families. Loud outdoor parties are discouraged. There are many unique experiences in the Interlake: Arnes Farmers Market on weekends is a short bike ride away, Integrity Food's pizza nights on Fridays and Saturdays is worth the drive; the General Store at Hnausa for ice-cream sundaes and Icelandic Fest on August long weekend in Gimli are some of the highlights of this area.

This is a cozy 3 BR Home that acts like a cottage in the Woods. The area is filled with beautiful Birch trees and provides the perfect location to retreat from the world for a bit. Are you needing to unplug/unwind? Whether you want to hide away and write a book or cross-country ski, snow shoe, ice fish, snowmobile or just take unimpeded walks to the lake (frozen or gleaming), this is the place for you! I am available via text/email/phone to answer any questions you may have.
My guests have said that this is a great place to get away from the hustle of the City. Long walks or runs are great! You are close enough if you want to grab a pint at the Ship and Plough in Gimli or grab brekkie at the Gimli Hotel. Most say they just want to hole up here and just enjoy the beautiful surroundings. It would be a great place to complete a thesis or book! We have a family of deer that pass through daily and a little red fox has decided that running and jumping through the yard is his/her jam! Keep your eyes peeled for them. Myself, I like to put on my audible book and just walk around this beautiful Birch-filled forest until I hit the lake or until the chapter is finished. In Summer, I hook up my hammock on the front deck and just listen to the birds or take an afternoon nap between books. You really can't feel stress out here. The place just won't let you!
I usually stock up at Sobey's for my stays at the Cottage. If I want a locally roasted coffee/latté, I hit Flatland Coffee in Gimli and if I am hungry, I grab a chilli burger and fries at Beach Boy (Summer/Fall) or Brennivins Pizza Hus for pizza or anything Italian. There are seafood restaurants as well and many ice cream shops. If you want to shop, you must hit Tergesen's as they have great clothes, books and fun kitchen/household items/gifts.
  • Great place to stay!

  • Great Cabin! New, spacious, clean, perfect in most every way. If you have a larger group seating was a little sparse in the living room/ dining room but we made it work. The King bed was a dream! The linens were fresh and the extra blankets were much appreciated on our chilly weekend. The property was private, but close enough to be able to travel to the local market and town. Our “ladies getaway” enjoyed this cabin. We were happy through & through and hope to come again! Thank you Jennifer for being available and an outstanding host.

    Mandy2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Jennifer’s place was the perfect cottage for our girls weekend getaway! We had such a great time in her cozy space. Will definitely be staying again sometime!

    Devon2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was amazing. The cabin in brand new, with that newly built smell still present! Open and airy feel. The screened porch is amazing. By far, the best, biggest, most comfy bed I've ever slept in at an AirBnb ( yay to king sized master bedroom!) The secluded beach was nice to visit also. We loved the deer that came by morning and evening, but wished we had seen the red fox! We would LOVE to come stay again, it was such a wonderful place.
