We built this three season tiny home with the intention of living simply (off grid) at our leisure. We are both creative builders and enjoy designing simple & efficient spaces, one of which we are excited to share with you! The tiny house is a delightful 7.5 x 14ft and has unique features throughout. It is a light a airy space which includes a double bed loft & skylight, reading nook, living / dining area, kitchen (no oven), and an outhouse. We invite you to go for walks by the ocean, swim and relax on the nearby sandy beach, hike around the point, visit the Lunenburg Yacht Club for a meal with a fabulous view or have a picnic with the local foods from the Sunnybrook Mill Farm Market (all within 6km). The Town of Lunenburg is 7min away & Mahone Bay 10min if you're looking for more food, shops, entertainment or simply to enjoy the summer buzz!
The tiny house is located in the woods, it feels very private and remote although town is very close! (7min drive/Ihr walk/15 min bike ride)
  • Alex's tiny house is a pleasant off-grid experience! The tiny house is clean, cozy, and equipped with all the amenities you need to relax and recharge. The loft bed is very comfortable! You can enjoy camping rain or shine here, and the location is close to downtown Lunenburg, so you get the best of both worlds. There is also a nice little beach about a 5km drive away. This place will definitely be on our list of places to return!

  • The tiny house was adorable! Alex had quick responses and great suggestions for things to do in the area. We went to Hirtle’s Beach and hiked the Gaff Point Trail, had a campfire each night, and made dinner on the bbq. Grocery stores were close by so if we forgot any ingredients we were able to go pick up whatever we needed. I would recommend bringing vegetable oil or butter if you’re planning on using the camp stove with a pan. It was overall a great weekend getaway and we would definitely go back!

  • Fun experience, beautiful location, and a very relaxing place to detach yourself from technology for a few days and appreciate nature at its true core :)

  • My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay in Tiny-House! Cute and quiet little space, would recommend :)

    Rylee2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Cutest spot to go alone or with your partner. It was so cozy and tiny. We enjoyed every minute of it. Reminded us that we don’t need much to enjoy our surroundings. The landscape was beautiful and there was so much wildlife. It’s perfectly placed between mahone bay and Lunenburg. A lot to do in the area.

    Stephanie2019-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • What a magical spot! If you are looking for a break from the world this is the place. It was lovely and quiet, and the tiny house is beautifully designed. Only a short drive from Lunenburg with a wonderful view (we got to watch the full moon rise over the water), and Alex was quick to respond to any questions. We hope to go back!

    Audrey2019-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly what we expect. We must expect a little destabilization by the lack of running water (water harvested from the rain) and electricity (radio and solar lights), but really a great experience. Very charming, beautiful location of the mini house and just peace with nature. Wow! Alex responded quickly to our messages and questions. We even had suggestions of places to visit. Perfect ! :)

We are situated in a delightful historic neighbourhood and a 10 minute walk along beautiful Harbourside trail to Old Town Lunenburg's designated UNESCO World Heritage Site and a 2 minute walk to the Farmers Market held every Thursday year round. Everything is at your doorstep.
  • Wow! A very thoughtfully designed home in an absolutely wonderful location. The neighborhood is full of beautiful colonial houses and is a very short walk to the old town and golf course. Can't recommend the place enough. When first arriving, it looks almost too small from the outside, but when you step inside, any worry about the space is gone. The interior, apart from being very beautiful, is incredibly well designed, and it truly feels much, much larger than it is. If you're cooking for yourself, the kitchen is well equipped, though if you're planning on cooking for more than two, the frying pans may be a little small. All in all, my girlfriend and I loved our stay, and will absolutely be looking to come back. A very relaxing getaway. Hopefully it will be a bit sunnier next time so we can enjoy our coffee on the deck, which is quite large and located perfectly for plenty of sunshine.

  • Cute modern mini-house with all the amenities you need in a great location. Thoughtful touches like tea, coffee and fresh flowers.

  • Jane and John were the perfect hosts! Providing the best place I have ever stayed in Lunenburg. The tiny house was incredibly clean and very modern. The hosts were nothing but nice, often checking in and making sure everything was going well. 10/10 would recommend to anyone travelling to Lunenburg. It is super central and close to everything-- short drive and walking distance to shops.

    Sarah2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • This was an absolute gem. The value for what we received is incredible. It’s an easy drive to downtown Lunenburg, or even a simple walk. It’s located on a quiet street and we found it very relaxing. There were excellent little touches in the house, including delicious scones and jam, lots of brochures and maps, and coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. The finishings were stylish and added to the atmosphere. We have no complaints. We thoroughly enjoyed and would stay again!

  • We loved our stay at Jane and John's tiny home! We were there for a one night stay, we walked downtown to do some shopping and go out for dinner. The location is great, and close to everything. The tiny home was surprisingly spacious, very clean and there were so many lovely touches. We will definitely book again.

  • Emmy wife and I stayed here for a night in March. Lovely little spot! Really close to downtown Lunenburg. 10/10

    Paul2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Jane and John were the most amazing hosts I have had yet! Thoughtful touches were everywhere in their tiny home including yogurt and homemade jam in the refrigerator as well as a lovely scone and fruit left on the counter. The space was small but so well thought out that it felt roomy and the bed was a cozy place to wind down at the end of the day. Jane and John had maps of Lunenburg available and were happy to tell me how to walk right into downtown and the waterfront which was only minutes away on foot. I am definitely staying again next time I am in town!

  • This BNB is more than we expected. We arrived and were greeted by Robert. He gave us a tour, which was completed by a “guest info” book, with a detailed map, places to eat, info on how to use various things such as the heater, fireplace, etc. We were also greeted with delicious fresh scones. It is equipped with a keurig with supplies, as well as a microwave, dishes, fresh water and a Netflix account to use! They had all the necessities including cork screws, utensils, popcorn bowl and even q tips! Easy access to nearby restaurants and shops. Overall, very clean, cozy and really felt like a relaxing getaway especially with the soaker tub (with Epsom salts and candles available!) Everything was user friendly (with labels that I can definitely appreciate!) I would definitely rebook here!

  • Lunenburg is a charming quaint town and staying in a periodic house with modern amenities was just fantastic. The apartment is ideal as it has everything you will need and you can access everything on foot that is in the town. It had many many extra touches which we found delightful and made the stay more enjoyable. Although we didn’t need anything we were reassured our hosts were close by. When we return to Lunenburg there is no question, we will be asking to stay here again.

  • Beautiful place with a thoughtful host who went out of her way to handle my late check-in due to visiting with friends in a nearby town. The breakfast was excellent and more like what you'd expect from a posh restaurant than a BnB. My only true BnB during a 2-week driving trip, Marita set the bar very high.

The perfect getaway, in pristine nature just 10 minutes from the centre of Lunenberg. Experience the peace and serenity of a waterfront cottage as well as the fabulous restaurants, cafes, sites and shops of this world famous town. Located on Heckman's Island but fully accessible by road via a 20' causeway, the cottage lies deep in the heart of some of the best kayaking in the area - and warmer swimming than usual in this part of the world!
This charming 3-season cottage is a great antidote to urban stress - or stress of any kind! Filled with light and the warmth of wood beams and floors, you feel instantly at home among furnishings and art that are both beautiful and delightfully quirky. The best of the place, however, is outside: it boasts 150 ft of easily accessible waterfront on a saltwater tidal bay that makes for warmer swimming than open ocean, and shelter from the blustery winds of many coastal properties. The sun sets right across the bay, making for spectacular viewing from the deck over drinks or dinner. It's a very peaceful spot that's secluded without feeling isolated, and the neighbours are warm and welcoming. The kayaking in this area is second to none, with many outfitters close by for those who need guidance. Two kayaks are available for guest use at the cottage, for experienced paddlers. Contact the owner for details. You'd never know you're just a 10 minute drive - really - from downtown Lunenburg. So if you never want to cook a meal or pour your own glass of wine, you'll be well served there or in Mahone Bay, which is 15 minutes away. Truly an ideal spot to enjoy the best this area has to offer.
The other cottagers in the area are mostly Lunenburg residents or other nearby folk who have been cottaging on Heckman's for generations. If there's anything you want to know about fish, the tides, or anything else, they have the scoop.
  • Great location, wonderful views, very peaceful and comfortable. The woodstove worked very well and really added to the pleasure of staying at the cottage. The two excellent sea kayaks were a real bonus.

  • Great little spot for tranquility and exploring Nova Scotia's South Shore. I'll miss waking up with the views. Away from it all but easy to access everything. Hard to leave.

  • This is such a charming waterfront cottage—a perfect spot from which to explore and experience the Lunenburg area. We loved feeling the breeze with the windows open, enjoying the views, reading in the shade on the deck and in the sun on the dock with the water lapping below us. The decor and all the little touches are lovely. We plan to come back. Thank you so much for hosting!

    Jennifer2019-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • We were in October a week guest in your house. Our expectations were far exceeded. From the bed overlooking the bay, sit outside by the fire in the evening and visit beautiful idyllic places in between or go out by canoe. The house has everything it needs, it was always nice and warm. The panorama is priceless. We'll be back next year!

    Stefanie2018-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot, relaxing, close to Lunenburg and other towns (Mahone Bay, Blue Rocks, etc.). Well-appointed cottage; our stay was very comfortable. We visited during a heat wave so we kept the fans on, which was fine. The Tide comes and goes, and when it's in, it's a lovely spot for a dip and the water isn't cold. Quiet and peaceful. Thanks Peter and Shelagh!

  • Sunset cottage is comfortable, serene, and elegant. A beautiful place to relax, view wildlife, take walks, read and kayak. A lovely experience of Heckman's Island and the beauty of the south shore.

  • This clean rustic cabin provided the perfect place to get away to relax and enjoy some nature and beauty, including the deer which came for breakfast. It is close enough to the villages of Lunenburg and Mahone Bay and it offers a tranquil place to sip coffee and enjoy wonderful sunsets over the water. Nearby are numerous restaurants and quaint shops to visit and shop at. Worth the stay and highly recommended.

Lunenburg is also known for its colourful architecture and its rich and vibrant history. It is home to a beautiful art scene and has a wide selection of incredible restaurants. This property was originally a part of Common Range lot #3. During the 1800’s it belonged to the Rev. William Duff. The old farm lot ran from Green Street, across a swampy area to Victoria Road and then across Victoria Road up the hill to the backline of the Common Range Lots. Following Rev. Duff’s death in 1888, the property was passed on to his heirs. This section of swamp and pasture between Victoria Road and Green Street was subdivided from the rest. In 1919, the subdivided area was acquired by John J. Kinley. This Large residence was built for him 3 years later.

  • We really enjoyed our short stay at Doug’s place. The studio suite was very nicely furnished, well equipped, very clean, and the bed was nice and firm. There was also a large private deck. The suite was in a great location, just a short drive into lunenburg. We enjoyed getting out to see Lunenburg, Mahone Bay and Peggy’s Cove.

    Carolyn2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful scenery and peaceful. Very clean. With extra touches like coffee, tea, spices and fully equipped with cooking necessities. We went for a kayaking weekend at Blue Rocks as it was so close to the area, plus minutes from beautiful, historic downtown Lunenburg. We highly recommended.

    Craig2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • I thoroughly enjoyed staying at Doug’s place. It is very restful, enough off the beaten track to feel restored, yet close to everything in and around Lunenburg and Blue Rocks. The bed is very comfortable with nice cotton linens and the deck is heavenly. It has cross ventilation and one can hear the birches risking in the wind at night. The deck seemed to always have a breeze. Deer are everywhere on the island and not shy. I cooked several meals and found the kitchen well equipped. All in all, I felt that it was very good value,. One has a private apartment with a water view in a separate building . It is more spacious than it looks in the pictures. If I return to the area, I would definitely stay there again.

    Nicole2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderfully located place a 15 minute drive from downtown Lunenberg. A beautiful ocean view from the terrace. A comfortable bed and good shower. Doug and Cathy provided helpful guides and were lovely when we saw them outside but we were gone all day exploring this gorgeous area and didn’t see them much. Would definitely stay again!

  • What a sweet spot! It’s tucked away, but not that far from lunenburg, about 10-15 min. We went for a wedding on Heckman’s island and it was perfect. The deck next to the room has lovely views, the room has a comfy bed, it’s like a little cottage. There is no BBQ, but the kitchen is very well equipped. Thanks for a great stay!

This newly renovated, 400 square foot suite in our 'home-tel' has been lovingly labelled the Honeymoon suite and includes all the amenities a traveller would expect in an upscale, unique space. Beautiful bathroom with high end fixtures, stand up shower and free standing tub. Luxurious king bed. Tastefully designed and carefully curated decor. It will undoubtedly be the best night's sleep you've ever had! Church bells and ocean breezes waft through the windows. Front harbour views!
The Ivy House was established in 2019 and is a fully functioning accommodations business following provincial and local guidelines and bi-laws. Affectionately named after our daughter, The Ivy House includes three, newly renovated suites. Similar to a traditional hotel, your room will be across the hall from one other suite. Both suites are located on the top floor of a 4000 square foot, heritage home. The third suite is on the main floor. All areas are secured with keyed locks and very private. The shared hallways are very large and the ceilings are high, giving the spaces an airy and roomy feel. The home was recently renovated as a 'home-tel' and many extras were added to the renovation to follow this vision. All interior walls and flooring were insulated for maximum privacy and noise control. Each suite is outfitted with its own hot water tank so your tub will never run cold. Extra heat sources were added to each unit. The spaces are very peaceful and designed tastefully modern, scandinavian with a pinch of coastal :)
This 125 year old, newly renovated, heritage home boasts views of city hall, Lunenburg's front harbour and a peaceful park where the UNESCO heritage monument stands. Two minute walk to downtown, shopping and dining district. A quiet neighbourhood and perfect retreat for couples. Kids very welcome as well! Plenty of free parking.
  • Tara’s place is THE MOST beautiful and perfect place we have stayed. We needed a quiet weekend away and we couldn’t have hoped for better. The suite is so masterfully decorated and spotlessly clean. It’s the perfect combination of streamlined, sophisticated, peaceful, comfortable (epic king-sized bed!) and perfectly appointed. Everything we could want or need was provided. Nestled right in the heart of picturesque Lunenburg, we had easy access to restaurants and shops. To top it all off, Tara provided delicious coffee, teas, reading material, games, cold drinks...and WE were greeted by a jar FULL of amazing fresh baked chocolate chip coconut cookies!! I’m not certain if this last special touch is a given or if we just got super lucky! Nonetheless we were very grateful. We will go back. Thanks Tara (and wee one)

  • Would highly recommend this suite for anyone staying in and around Lunenburg. Tara greeted us when we arrived and we quickly felt at home. The suite looks even better than it does in photos (if that’s even possible) and it is very private. Since we arrived during a hurricane Tara and her daughter kindly made us storm cookies and provided flashlights. When we woke the first morning we were pleased to find muffins and hot water since the power was out since the night before. This suite is in walking distance to all amenities downtown Lunenburg has to offer and simply exceeded our expectations :) Thank you Tara and Ivy, we wouldn’t have changed a thing!

  • Not only was my night at Captain Bell’s incredibly cosy and comfortable because of the beautifully furnished room, the warm, fluffy indoor coat, the kitchenette where I could make tea and the classic packed DVD collection in the living room, but most of all for how deeply welcoming Grant and Karen were. They have clearly put so much thought into everything one might hope for in a B&B (right down to choclatey treats as cookies!) and they were incredibly kind to me, ensuring that I had everything I might need. I highly recommend a stay with them if you’re looking for accommodation in Lunenburg!

Our home is located in Feltzen South: a very quiet village 20 minutes from Lunenburg and Bridgewater and 10 minutes from the LaHave Ferry. We have a beautiful beach 2 km down the road and access to many more gorgeous beaches all within a 30 minute drive. Our property has 16 acres of forest trails and access to the ocean. Our stunning views look across the harbour to the towns of Lunenburg and Blue Rocks. Our road is part gravel, part paved and is perfect for biking or walking or snowshoeing.
The space is a self contained apartment with walk out and separate entrance. You will have complete privacy....unless you feel like having a chat with us - entirely up to you. There is a 'kitchenette' in the space, but please note there is no sink or stove so the space is not really set up for a long term stay where you would want to cook meals. We provide coffee, tea, water, toaster oven , coffee maker, kettle, dishes, cutlery, etc: and basic ingredients for a continental breakfast etc and there is a bar fridge in the space if you want to buy a few groceries or snacks. If you would like, I am happy to provide a full cooked breakfast with prior notice for an extra fee ($25 per couple per day). We can discuss that via email when you book. There is one restaurant close by open for breakfast all year -the Rose Bay General Store (5 minute drive) and a second in The Ovens Park (The ‘Ol Miner Diner)that is open in summer...and lots more if you want to drive to Lunenburg or Mahone Bay. We also have a fairly extensive library of books which we don't mind sharing while you stay with us. In an effort to reduce plastic-I do provide some water bottles but I am very happy to refill your reusable bottles -as much and as often as you wish...
Feltzen south is a small village with a mix of local residents and ‘summer’ residents. The people here are incredibly warm and friendly and full of interesting information. Don’t forget to wave as you drive by and if you want to stop and have a ‘yarn’ that would be just fine!
  • Truly a treat staying here! The ambiance and hospitality are exceptional. I highly recommend it.

  • We really enjoyed our stay at Joanna and Nick's place. Overlooking a quiet beach about 15 minutes drive from Lunenburg, it was a perfect place to escape the bustle and noise of city life. The apartment is spacious, sparkling clean, modern, and beautifully decorated with one of the most comfortable beds that we've ever slept in. Unfortunately we didn't get to meet Joanna, but Nick went above and beyond to make us feel at home. We especially enjoyed spending a lovely evening by the outdoor firepit, sharing travel stories over a bottle of wine. If we ever return to Lunenburg we would love to stay again. Highly recommended!

  • We had the best stay at Brian and Susan’s! Their home is stunning and the guest suite was exactly what we needed for a relaxing weekend away. The hospitality was exceptional. Brian and Susan went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. We loved all the special touches from the knitted slippers to the delicious muffins in the morning. Really made us feel at home. We are already planning our next trip back :) Thank you!

    Amy2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • The premises were spotless, comfortable, and well appointed. The location and hospitality were great and I would highly recommend this location. Brian and Susan are indeed super-hosts!

    Michael2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely recommend. We expected this place to be great and Susan and Brian lived up to their reputation. Great hospitality in a beautiful, clean home. Susan and Brian were great for local suggestions, had 2 beer chilling in our room on arrival and the muffins in the morning lived up to the hype. If you're a cat lover, you'll have to meet the beauty that is Smokey. She kept to herself and only came out when we asked Susan about her and she shook some treats. If you're not a pet person, you wouldn't eown know she was there. Would definitely stay here again. Mark & Kari

  • Beautiful space with amazing people

    Krystal2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay with Brian and Susan! They were the perfect hosts and their historic house is amazing! Every possible need was met and then some. They even included a local microbrew on ice when we arrived. The location is within walking distance to all of downtown Lunenburg. Susan made us local coffee and muffins for breakfast that were delicious. We felt like family. They chatted with us about all the local sites and places we should go. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

    Rose2019-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Susan and Brian have a beautiful room in a great, quiet location in Lunenburg. Within walking distance of everything. I highly recommend booking a visit!

    Keith2019-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • Brian and Susan have a beautiful home which they are happy to share. Their hospitality was amazing as were the wonderful muffins we received for breakfast each morning, along with lovely coffee. They were happy to share information about their beautiful town and made recommendations for excellent eateries as well. They gave us guidance on the next stage of our journey through Nova Scotia. We had an excellent stay.

Modern/spacious/bright suite w/ keyless entry, spacious bathroom & room for an extra queen bed. Ideal for couples/small family, you have sole access to the entire basement (~1000 sqft) which also includes a den (Roku TV-Netflix/Amazon/Apple TV), island & two stools, laundry & a small home gym. Prepare breakfast/small meals in the modest kitchenette. We are located in the peaceful part of town, only 800m to the waterfront, and less to Shipwright Brewery, shops, restaurants & the Bay2Bay trail.
Formerly and sometimes referred to as "Back Harbour Views", our listing is a recently renovated basement suite featuring light, airy colours and plenty of natural light that truly makes you forget that you are in a basement. Although there is plenty of natural light, the basement windows are small and there is not much of a view UNLESS you are sitting outside looking at the water or the green space that connects to our backyard. The main sleeping area includes a new 12-inch memory foam mattress and comfortable bedding and new sheets and pillows to make you feel at home. This space has both a door and a full-length curtain. In the words of a recent guest: "The bed was very comfortable. A bit firm initially, but sank in nicely. I'm a physiotherapist and it is a healthy choice." **If needed, a second queen bed and a cradle can be set up in the suite. Please let us know when you book if you require the second queen bed to be set-up when booking for 2 guests** There is a spacious private washroom with a shower and many toiletries available for your stay. The Den/TV room has a new 5-piece modular sectional and the Roku SMART TV. The entire basement will be your space for the duration of your visit, and if for some reason we needed to access the basement, we would contact you first. Many guests comment that once they arrive they feel space is larger than they perceived when reading our listing. The private entrance and patio area allow for guests to feel comfortable coming and going as they please, and the best part, no keys! As mentioned in the description and shown in the pictures, our kitchen amenities are limited and we are not really set up for preparing full meals. With that being said, we have added a toaster oven and a blender however only have the seating/counter space for two people.
Our bungalow sits on a quiet back street in Old Town Lunenburg overlooking the beautiful back harbour. The peaceful backyard backs onto green space and is the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing morning or evening watching the sun rise and set on the water or observing the deer that frequent the yard. Although there isn't much traffic in this part of Old Town, it is a quick five to ten minute walk to downtown and the waterfront. The Bay to Bay trail is located 100 yards from the home and will take you on a longer (2.5km) and nature-filled route to downtown. We are also neighbours with the owner/operator of Lunenburg Paddling Adventours & Rentals. Their website can be found online including on FBook and IGram.
  • Excellent location and the basement apartment really exceeded my expectations! It’s evident the place is very well sound proofed which is ideal when you’re in a downstairs unit. It made for a relaxing and quiet night away. I’ll be back with the family this summer!

Welcome to beautiful Lunenburg Nova Scotia, founded in 1753 and later designated a world heritage site by UNESCO in 1995; Lunenburg has established itself as the heart of the south shore, and only an hour drive from Halifax. Nestled away in the historic old town you will find Clems House, boasting local architectural features that date back to 1860’s combined with a modern touch making the property a welcoming attraction.
The homes history is rich and like many places in the area has its own connection with the sea, as the residence was once home to the last surviving member of the original Bluenose crew, Clem R Hiltz. As you enter our home you will begin to appreciate its coziness, with hardwood floors extending through the entire home. The décor is that of local art and treasures, a modern bright kitchen lights up with rays of sun through the garden doors leading to a patio where after enjoying a exquisite meal at one of the many award winning restaurants, you can relax by the outside fire and have a memorable evening and feel as if you are already home. We offer a full kitchen, complete with cookware, dining room table for eight, on site washer and dryer, fiber OP TV and wifi, air conditioning and outdoor hot tub (hot tub availability varies, currently open) PLEASE CHECK WHEN BOOKING FOR HOT TUB AVAILABILITY. The upstairs features a large master bedroom with queen size bed and television and the second bedroom has a futon bed. Please note this is an older home, the bedrooms are located on the second floor. Access by steep stairs is required. If you have mobility issues this may not be a good fit for your visit to Lunenburg.

    Andrew2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our too short stay at Mark’s sweet Lunenburg home. It has everything you need - and more! Close to shops and restaurants, and waterfront activities. Comfy beds, a superb shower, coffee and tea w all the fixins’, well equipped kitchen, great TV channels and nautical reads — who could ask for more! We shall return for certain!

    Jane2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Mark is a great host; always quick to reply to messages. The home is just as it’s stated, no surprises. At first I was concerned about the stairs with my little person, but he didn’t even pay any attention to them until it was time to head up them for bed. The home is equipped with all the amenities and super clean. Centrally located to explore Lunenburg’s charms. We would definitely return if in the area again.

    Shawnna2019-10-09T00:00:00Z

  • A beautiful spot right next to the water. Super clean and very stylish with a view you can’t beat! Was a great spot for a winter weekend.

    David2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing view of Lunenberg waterfront. None better. Spotlessly clean. Luxuriously fresh bed linen and towels. Quite spacious. A perfect winter getaway! Steps away from restaurants, bars, coffee houses etc. Melissa's husband thoughtfully shovelled and salted the path to the entrance several times when we were there during a snow storm. Just note- it has a mini frig, and coffee maker but no kitchen, it has an amazing heating and ventilating system but no windows open.

Situated in the heart of old town UNESCO Lunenburg, easy walking distance to all amenities and attractions in this beautiful town. This two bedroom apartment sleeps four and with its south facing windows has great lighting. You have access to the back deck and backyard.
This recently restored house was built in 1864 for ships carpenter, Benjamin Zinck and is in center on old town Lunenburg. The apartment on the mainfloor has the character of an old heritage building but with modern comforts including a new bathroom and kitchen with new appliances.
  • Nancy's place is extremely well located in the midst of Lunenburg, within walking distance to everything, and with easy parking as well. The apartment is roomy, and well appointed. There is plenty of light, and the living areas are comfortable. Probably the nicest thing is actually how close the apartment is to everything. Going out for dinner is almost a matter of stepping out the door! A nice place to stay!

Beach front cottage, just 10 minutes from Lunenburg UNESCO World Heritage Site. You can't beat the location, views or sound of the waves on the beach. Some say it is "paradise" or "heaven on earth". Come see for yourself.
  • A special remote hideaway right on the beach. Not for those who need high tech kitchen or bathroom. We stayed in early September and appreciated the very effective wood burner for some chilly mornings. We enjoyed the Simplicity and functionality of kitchen and other facilities.

    RichStories2019-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • Was exactly as advertised, this was out first Airbnb experience so we were not quite too sure what to expect but this was above what we had anticipated. If you want quiet and tranquility this is the place! Cozy little cottage, very close to Blue Rock, Mohone Bay and of course Lunenburg. Hopefully will be able to visit again.

    Mike2018-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • What a great place to relax and unwind. The beach access was fantastic! My kids were at the beach everyday, all day if we let them. The place was clean and inviting. The only drawback was the shower wasn’t great and there was a hot water issue in that there wasn’t but it was quickly dealt with and one cold shower didn’t ruin anything. This place acted as a great base for us as we did day trips to Lunenburg, Mahone Bay, Halifax, Peggy’s Cove and Annapolis Royal. Thank you for having us and we hope we can come back in the future.

    Kathleen2018-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • This lovely cottage is so inviting and quiet. I loved the private setting by the ocean where I sat and read while enjoying the sound of the waves.

    Helen2017-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful setting, incredibly peaceful. Large beach shared with two other little cottages. Calm water, with a ton of skipping stones. The cottage is exactly as described, and we had a great time with our six year old boy.

    Matt2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • This was a fantastic retreat! If you are looking for a quiet place that is beautiful, peaceful, close to all needed amenities and a gorgeous town (lunenburg).... than jump on this cottage. A homely clean cottage with a fire pit, BBQ and wood fire place and private beach with amazing sunrise and sunsets. We have grown up going to cottages in Ontario and this is exactly what we hoped for while touring Nova Scotia. Note: do not plan on an all night party here that is not the scene. But you can have a fantastic local seafood dinner at home after checking out amazing towns on Mahones bay and lunenburg! We will be going back! 10 out of 10

  • The Iceberg Apartment is extremely comfortable. Beds were great and the kitchen was very well appointed. It was sparkling clean and stylish. It seems further away from downtown than it actually is - really only a twelve minute walk or three minute drive to the heart of Lunenburg. Having a private driveway and entrance made it extremely easy and we had a nice stay.

    Jane2019-08-18T00:00:00Z

The apartment is located above our butcher shop and bakery on 20 acres of rolling farmland and forest. Please drop in for a coffee and pastry or ingredients for dinner. We are a 15 minute walk, or shorter bike ride, from the heart of Lunenburg. The spacious high ceilinged apartment is newly built with traditional woodworking and has everything one needs for a lovely vacation. The kitchen is equipped for making a simple breakfast or elaborate meal. We live just up the hill if you need anything.
The apartment is perfectly designed to accommodate one or two couples, or a small family, very comfortably. We planned the apartment with our ideal guest space in mind, attempting to meet every need. We supply tea and sugar and 2 different coffee making options as well as cooking essentials like oil, vinegar, salt and pepper etc. Both beds have fresh cotton sheets and feather duvets and pillows. Baby gear is available to borrow if you are traveling with a little one.
Staying on Kissing Bridge Road feels like you are in the country while still being walking distance to town. The best of both.
  • Super beautiful location. A great place to getaway!

  • A wonderful place to stay for a South Shore getaway! We easily walked to downtown Lunenburg from the apartment, yet it still felt like we were deep in the countryside, as we were surrounded by deer, cows, crickets and fields! The view of the stars from the deck was spectacular, and the apartment was so quaint and clean.

    Kathleen2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • A first class Airbnb: beautifully appointed with everything you need, comfortable, welcoming and stylish. Great hosts, helpful and welcoming. Beautifully situated, surrounded by fields, woods, ponds, even the deer visited in the evenings! Close to the charming town of Lunenburg, where there are loads of art and craft studios, & delightful restaurants and bars. Easy drives to great hiking trails, by the sea and beside beautiful lakes and forests. Highly recommended! We had such a good time and 3 days weren’t long enough!

  • Keeley’s apartment was absolutely amazing and we highly recommend it. It is spacious, beautifully renovated, warm and welcoming. • This is a real gem for anyone looking for a home base to explore the south shore of Nova Scotia around Lunenberg. The description is spot on and the host has set up a wonderful spot with some very thoughtful touches (a parking spot and automatic lights for the walkway).

  • We loved our stay at the Peaceful Farm! The location was excellent, just on the outskirts of Lunenburg, and the space was simply beautiful! We especially loved the deer just outside our door in the morning, and the complete quiet of the countryside. Hope to return again soon!

  • Lovely, private, quiet place which was as described. Photos are accurate. Very convenient to the town and the surrounding tourist areas. Plenty of things to do locally and to eat out.

  • I stayed with my daughter at this apartment and it was perfect for us! We loved the special touches like fresh organic eggs and the basket of fruit! Thanks so much! We would gladly stay again!

  • Chad and Krystyn's place is very cozy. It has a full kitchen and supplies that you may use for cooking. It is very close to the downtown area but at the same time it is the quiet side of the town. We even saw some deer first thing in the morning. Chad quickly responded to all my messages and helped us check in despite that we were late. I highly recommend them and I we will definitely stay here again.

  • Great location and has everything you need for a short stay in Lunenburg. There were all the cooking necessities and there were some eggs and fruits in the fridge which was a really nice touch. The restaurants and bars are a plesent 15 minute walk. I would highly recommend this airbnb.

  • Better than a hotel with the kitchen it felt more homey and they are the nicest couple. Super close to the water front, all the restaurants and cafes, plus there’s easy free parking. And loved the fireplace in the bedroom

  • Warm, inviting, fresh eggs for breakfast, cup of tea in the big kitchen area. Everything you have at home in someone else’s place. Great location, quiet area, but only 2 minutes from the tourist part of town, even saw deer in the backyard. Would go back in a heartbeat.

  • My stay at Marita’s was a wonderful experience. She has a lovely home and was super accommodating of my schedule during my stay. The guest room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. Marita and her husband were warm and welcoming and we had lovely conversations during my stay. I would highly recommend that you book with Marita if you are going to be in the Lunenburg area. I know I will be booking there again if I’m ever back in the area!

  • The best air bnb we have ever booked. What a great stay at Marita’s place and what a fantastic host! Cooked breakfast provided each morning which was absolutely delicious. Spotlessly clean and the bedroom extremely comfortable. Cannot fault anything. Would definitely recommend to stay here with Marita and would most certainly book again. Thanks again to you both for your hospitality!!

  • This place was lovely. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming, including their sweet cats, birds, and dog. Marita made us an amazing breakfast in the morning with eggs, salmon, salad, and pumpkin pie. She also gave us many helpful tips for getting around town - including letting us borrow her umbrella! The room was affordable, clean, and stylish. It was also nice to be warmed by a wood stove. I would definitely stay there again.
