  • Thanks for a lovely stay. Lovely views, and we had great weather which made it a great peaceful break away from our busy lives! Comfy sofa bed - had a great sleep, loved the log burner and did not realise there was a fire pit also outside which we could have used! We brought board games, I liked the fairy lights and candles. Compost toilet wasn't an issue for just 2 nights. Great walks to Moel Famou and the surrounding area. We ate lunch at a countryside pub - GlasFryn - recommended by Jenny - great views and good food and service! We look forward to exploring more of wales now. :).

  • We had a lovely, cosy stay at the bothy. The bothy is very cute. Although near road, you couldn’t hear any noise at night, only the wind outside and the cracklings of the log burner and the view of the hills in the morning is glorious.Jenny was very attentive and friendly. Thanks for having us.

Lambing time Feb to April an experience not to be missed. Our static caravan is situated on a working farm in the hills of North Wales overlooking the the Dee estuary and wirral peninsula. Chester is 20 minutes by car and snowdonia about 50 minutes away.
You have 100 acres of our farm land to roam and 2000 acres of common land right next door with open access. Dogs should be kept on a lead in most areas on the farm. please ask if you want somewhere for your dog to run free.
We are next to 2000 acres of common land where your free to roam the mountain paths alongside the local sheep. There are 3 public Houses within walking distance a village shop 1.5 miles away open till 10pm and 24hr shop within 2 miles
  • A wonderful stay at a beautiful location. The static home was bigger than we expected, the lounge/diner/kitchen was more than big enough for 2 adults and a child. Well equipped kitchen, and the lounge boasts a fantastic view from 2 comfortable armchairs. The main bedroom is a decent size with its own toilet and a walk in wardrobe area. The main bathroom is a good size with a great shower cabin. Although it is based on a working farm, it is barely noticeable and very tranquil. And Hayden went the extra mile, allowing us to watch lambing up close, and our granddaughter collecting fresh eggs from the chicken coup.

  • Lovely hosts. Happy to help with anything needed. Place was as described Central heating works very well! Remember to bring your bedding or you can rent it off the hosts. The scenery is awesome Parking space just as in picture by the front door of the caravan Big thanks to our hosts

    Michelle2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our weekend break at Hayden’s cosy mobile home. Lovely and warm, fabulous shower and a great layout. We saw the new born lambs and bought eggs that couldn’t have been fresher. Hayden and his Father John were very friendly and helpful. We had a packed day in Liverpool, about half an hour away. Can really recommend the Ferry across the Mersey cruise and the Museum.

  • This is very great place to relax. Staying in the farm has brought us different enjoyment in holiday. My children love the place. Will come again. Perfect stay for rest

    Wan2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely clean, stylish caravan with everything we could possibly have needed. A real home from home. The views from were great too. My little boy loved seeing all the animals on the farm and watching the tractors go past. Would stay again.

The apartment was immaculately presented, super clean, and the bed was the most comfortablewe have ever slept on. Great touches, even introduced my wife to the game of Yahtzee, some little games were a fab touch. Thank you Tracy and Mark, we hope to see you again.

  • Dale greeted me on arrival and showed me around . She is friendly and ensured I knew how to contact her if needed. The flat is ideal for a couple or lone traveller. It was perfect for me. The flat is modern and very comfortable. I was able to truely relax at the flat. Dale lives above the flat but it's very private and secure. I would highly recommend Dale as a host and her flat for a stay

    Jane2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • The flat annexe is cosy, stylish, comfortable, clean, quiet and the host has provided all the necessary things to make it a home away from home. Dale was particularly understanding about us having to travel a long way after a busy day, which delayed the check-in time. (highly appreciate it! ) .The weather didn’t help at all for exploring the surroundings but the place was warm and there was even Netflix available. Many thanks again for hosting us, Dale, we would gladly book again in the future!

    Cristina2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great little annex. Small but has all that you’d need, kept lovely and clean. There is a cat in the main house which goes into the annex (I have a cat allergy and it flared up terribly). No problem if no cat allergy.

Elegant modern one bedroom apartment with solid wood floors and underfloor heating throughout perfectly situated just off the main high street in Mold town center, within a short walking distance is the amazing Just Steak restaurant and Alexanders coffee shop serving an excellent breakfast.
The space is compact so not ideal for 4 people however it will accommodate 4 people using the living space sofa bed if need be. The bathroom is en suite so access is through the bedroom, it has a walk-in shower with no bath. The living space has a 32" smart LED TV with Netflix access and sky Q, a double sofa bed and a dinning table with 4 chairs. The kitchen has everything you need including a tasimo coffee machine.
  • Place was great, really clean and tidy. Ideally located in the centre of Mold and the communication with the host was quick and easy. Very accommodating, having little things like milk and tea bags in there was really appreciated. Would definitely stay again.

    Gareth2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Very convenient for the centre of Mold. Not a huge space but big enough for a few a nights, much better than a hotel.

  • Beautiful place in a fantastic location

    Monica2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • The flat had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It's conveniently located, lots of shops within a short walking distance. The kitchen is fully equipped and there's tea, coffee and milk on arrival (very common with AirBnB stays, but not guaranteed, so a nice thoughtful touch). The whole process of communication, arriving and leaving was smooth. We'd definitely stay again. (For those sharing the apartment with others, it might be useful to know that the only bathroom/toilet is in the only bedroom.)

  • Very clean and comfortable apartment in mold. We stayed here and went to chester and the zoo. Great location. Plenty of room for 3 people, sofa bed is decent. Under floor heating is very nice. Milk, tea and biscuits met us on arrival, great touch. We parked on the grass outside the apartment, very convenient. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

  • I stay at this little house on a regular basis as I travel to Mold to visit family. The house is always sparkling clean, warm and welcoming with everything that I need. There is always information on display about whats on locally and the house its-self is well located, close to public transport links and also main routes into Wales, Cheshire and onto the Wirral. I can highly recommend Janes wee house for a business stop over or as a base for exploring this beautiful part of the world. Tanya

  • A well-situated and well-equipped house in a nice, quiet estate, that is perfectly located for shopping, the local market and the superstores. There is a local theatre nearby that you can walk to in about 20-30 minutes. The nearest pub is staggering distance close and noted for excellent food, but It is so quiet you wouldn’t know it was there.

  • This is a lovely place to stay. Very relaxing. Ellie is a great host. This was our second visit. We were able to make use of the balcony this time which was nice. We hadn't realised on our first one-night stay earlier in the year that there was crockery and cutlery. So this is very useful if you wanted to bring food back. We're looking forward to our next stay.

  • This is a fantastic location for anyone attending events at Soughton Hall. It is literally a 5 minute walk up the drive across the road, and much cheaper than staying on site!! A lovely, cosy, little flat with a large bathroom. We loved watching the bunnies jumping around in the field and found our stay very comfortable. The directions provided were clear, the location was easy to find and Ellie was a fantastic host, helping us out where she could and gave us some great info regarding the local services. The room and bathroom were very clean and a light breakfast was provided. I would definitely stay here again and thoroughly recommend it for events at the Hall. Thanks for your hospitality Ellie, it was a pleasure. Cath & Matt x

    Alessandro2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed in The Roost as a solo Traveller. Straight away I felt at ease. The property is beautifully laid out and very well maintained. The surrounding area is full of natural beauty and the Old Mill Holiday Homes maintains that theme. It has a tranquil feel and relaxing, peaceful atmosphere. There is a surprisingly busy road beside the property but it does not impact on the peace of the homes. The room I stayed in was " room only" but had lots of thoughtful touches/extras. I've stayed in many B&B's and been frustrated with the tiny kettle that is awkward to fill and takes ages to boil. So full size kettle was much appreciated. The fridge enabled me to have cold drinks and store snacks which is a definite plus. There were plates and cutlery which is also a first for me. Liz has obviously used her own experiences to ensure her guests have as perfect as possible stay. I only met Liz briefly when she made sure all was ok but she sent messages and replied to mine very quickly. I also knew she was there if I needed her. There is lots to see and do locally within 15-20 minute drive. It's also easy to get to Chester, Liverpool, Rhyl and Conway. The whole of North Wales coast can be explored easily. I can recommend I walk up Moel Famau for the views alone. All in all I had a lovely stay at The Roost. I was busy but came away feeling refreshed. I can highly recommend the property and will hopefully be back

    Jane2019-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing time at The Roost. The thoughtful additions really made the place special and we loved the property. Thanks Liz!

  • Visiting family locally, we needed a good value place to stay which was clean and gave great access to the local area. Liz was great at communication and at a busy time of year as well. Thank you so much!

    Annali2018-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here for a wedding in the area, and it was a perfect little base for the weekend. Liz was very helpful when we arrived, and gave us tips for local cafes. We had dinner from an Indian restaurant just up the road, and ended up going into Mold for breakfast at Ruben's, which was perfect for us (we were after good value breakfast and a high chair for our baby!).

This beautiful barn conversion is ideally situated in the North Wales countryside, with views over the Clwydian Range but only 10 minutes drive to the sea, and handy for people working at Gwynt y Mor. Oak beams, log burner, bath, shower and a four poster king size bed offer additional comfort for an ideal romantic break. Large TV with range of DVD's and games available for those rainy days by the fire. Play station is also available. Nothing is too much trouble for your hosts. We aim to please.
The bedroom offers plenty of space to accomodate a baby in a travel cot which we can supply or you can bring your own camp bed for one child. There's an enclosed and very private garden. The cottage has oil central heating and a lot burner to keep you warm.
We are in the countryside enjoying beautiful views and a multitude of popular walking or cycling routes. However we are less than five mins from the A55 expressway which will take you to Conwy and Anglesey in one direction and Chester in the other. Ten mins to the sea or 30 to a lovely beach and Prestatyn. It really is the best of both worlds. We are also closely situated to the base for Gwynt y Mor windfarm making it convenient for windfarm workers who also want a bit of piece and quiet during their stay.
  • Gorgeous little hideaway in a really lovely, quiet location. The log burner fire made the place so cosy and the four poster bed was so comfortable. Location was great for trips out and the place had all the things you needed to cook meals in. It was such a well needed break

  • We had a lovely stay here. Quiet location with beautiful rural views. The barn itself was spacious but cosy with lots of character. Would highly recommend.

  • Lovely relaxing accommodation. Lots of little nice touches, shampoo, shower gels ect. Home from home place to get away from it all, set in beautiful countryside. Really comfortable bed, which makes all the difference to a great night's sleep. Unfortunately storm Ciara arrived whilst we were there. But with a lovely log burner, dvds and games we were happy to stay in our comfortable surroundings and stay warm and safe. Great recommendation from Sue for a local pub the Crown Inn. Made us feel welcome and the food was amazing. We will definitely be returning again, for another getaway. Thanks to you both for a great stay.

    Jayne2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • Me and my Husband (and dog) stayed here over Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. When we arrived the instructions Sue had given were easy to follow. Once we got inside we realised it was just such a beautiful little cottage !! The pictures do not do it justice. It’s absolutely perfect for a couple and a dog as the cottage has a little enclosed garden to run around in & we had lots of room. The amenities were perfect. I recooked a hot pot I had made at home but we could have easily made a full roast with what was available. Sue made a great effort decorating the place for Christmas and even left us some chocolates, mince pies & shortbread. The bathroom was lovely too, nice sized bath & good shower. The bedroom has to be the best part. That bed!!! We just didn’t want to get out of it! The comfiest thing we have ever slept on. We had an absolutely lovely stay and we will definitely be back to stay again! Thank you Sue xx

    Lindsey2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely, warm and cosy but very spacious barn conversion, beautifully renovated, decorated and well-equipped. There were lots of little touches too that made us feel extra welcome, including breakfast crumpets and, as our stay was just before Christmas, there were mince pies and a tastefully decorated & lit tree too. Seemingly little things, like providing a tea towel, toilet rolls and a range of spare toiletries made a big difference too. As you enter, there's a vestibule where you can leave coats and boots. The bathroom is a great size and the shower is hot. There's one large living space comprising kitchen, lounge and dining areas; the kitchen has all mod cons and the lounge has a fantastic feature fireplace with a wood burner. There's also stained glass skylight to look up to too! The separate bedroom has lots of storage, and a very comfortable king size four-poster bed; coupled with the quiet countryside location, that makes for a very good night's sleep. There's a front patio door which we found handy for access when (un)loading the car, and a rear patio door which leads to a private seating and BBQ area, with a view of the field behind. The location is great for peace and quiet, but with easy access to Holywell and the surrounding areas, whether you want to access to town, coast or countryside. Sue is a wonderful host, making sure that we were happy and comfortable, and also pointed us in the right direction for a walk up Moel Famau for some unbeatable views of miles around. It was just what we needed for a relaxing couple of days away.

  • Loved our stay! The place is even nicer than the photos. Jane included some extra touches that really made our stay over valentines weekend. Bottle of fizz, beers, fresh bread, cheese, ham, milk, butter, bottled water, apple juice. Fresh flowers. A rose and chocolates on the bed as a valentines treat. It really was lovely. Great selection of books for rainy (stormy) days . The bed is soooo comfy, and the shower is impossible to leave as it’s so good. We love this place and will be back in summer to make use of all the local walks and amazing views!

The pool and hot tub make it even more special. They are superb hosts. They went out of their way to look after us. Thank you both. We will be back!

  • Absolutely unbelievable both the stay and Liz. She sorted out a surprise birthday pack for my girlfriend which was definitely worth the money. When we met Liz, she told us about everything we’d need to know during the stay, there was leaflets on local activities. Everything needed was provided and we can’t fault the place, worth every penny and hope we’ll get to experience it again

    Mike2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely lovely couple of days, the pod is amazing, well equipped, clean, warm and cosy, a great space, with lovely views and a lovely hot tub to relax in. Great location, a really warm welcome from Liz too and great local recommendations.

  • What a little slice of heaven! Booked the Bumble pod for my husbands 30th. The pod was immaculate. The hot tube was ready on arrival and Liz welcomed us and showed us the controls. The pods are very private and it's easy to forget anyone else is near by. Absolutely will be returning

  • Liz is easily the best host I’ve come across. Went above and beyond to help with little touches for my partners birthday. Liz responds to messages very promptly and it’s clearly very passionate and attentive to looking after her pods. The bumblebee pod is a lovely and quaint accommodation and did us nicely for the weekend. Even in the winter it was lovely and warm.

This small but perfectly formed cottage has a inglenook fireplace with a log burning stove, which we have married together with under floor heating throughout. This former miners cottage has all mod cons and is warm and comfortable. Well located for work or leisure it is close to Chester, Cheshire Oaks Outlet village and the beautiful countryside and coastline of North Wales. Suitable for singles, couples or small families.
  • Lovely cosy cottage, exactly what we needed for staying over the Christmas period. Lovely and warm with underfloor heating. Sandra was great to communicate with and left some nice Christmassy touches to welcome us (mince pies and crackers as well as Xmas tree and decs). Would definitely visit again.

  • Lily Cottage is lovely! Sparkling clean and beautifully furnished with everything you need and more provided. I would recommend this pretty cottage and host.

    Jude2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • Now that I've stayed at this lovely cottage, I can see why other reviews rave about the underfloor heating....in winter it's amazing. I just loved this cottage and found the space to be perfectly cosy and amazingly relaxing with the roaring fire. Slept like a baby, as it's also quiet and dark, but if feeling lazy, you can watch telly in bed.

    Therese2019-12-14T00:00:00Z
  • Hey Sandra, thank you so much for your speedy communication and perfect hospitality, our getaway was close to disaster and thanks to you and Lily Terrace it's been wonderful, tranquil, peaceful and relaxing - the beds were ideal (we all slept v heavy), the underfloor heating was a lush treat and your welcome folder was packed full of useful info (and funny too "I'm a firestarter" brilliant). We would love to come again one day! Thank you so much

    Scott2019-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • This is a homely cottage, very cosy and comfortable with lovely decor and a great log burner. The cottage is spotless, the kitchen contains everything you will need and the beds are really comfortable. In addition there is a collection of reading material, DVDs and games for adults and children, plus tourist information. On arrival Sandra had left a useful information pack and a thoughtful assortment of necessary food items. We would definitely stay here again.

  • Lily cottage is set on high sunny ground and is so cosy and inviting. You will appreciate peaceful nights and easy access to local shops etc yet it feels more remote. • Enjoyed our week. Accommodation was great for a couple and the second bedroom and separate bathroom would be ideal for a family. Enjoyed local walks and visiting villages and pubs. Happily recommend it for anyone wanting access to N Wales. Traffic is noticeably sometimes but we quickly became accustomed to it.

    Chris2018-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at the Long Barn. It's in an absolutely beautiful setting and convenient too - Mold isn't far away and the A55 is a short drive which makes it easy to get to Conway, Llandudno and other attractions on the North Wales coast. We didn't spend much time in the immediate area but the countryside was lovely, and I'd imagine you could do some great walks. The barn itself is beautifully decorated and has all the modern amenities you would expect. We stayed as a family of four so the two bathrooms were handy. All the fixtures and fittings, bedding, linen etc were new and the barn was very clean throughout. The Old Mill has lovely gardens and a kids play area which was really appreciated by our five year old! The owner was extremely friendly and helpful both before and during our stay - she responded to questions very quickly and kindly prepared a highchair and cot for us, and she was extremely knowledgeable about the local area. We ate at the Dinorben Arms in nearby Bodfari on her recommendation and it was excellent. We had a great stay and would definitely stay at the Long Barn again!

    Tim2018-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • I can only say that the Long Barn cottage is amazing. So tastefully done up to a very high standard and set in what can only be described as idyllic countryside. Warm and cozy and so comfortable with many thoughtful touches to make it that extra bit special. Liz was always friendly and responsive to our every need. As Liz mentions in her website, it is close to a road and there is a small amount of traffic noise, but I can heart fully say that this is completely offset by the level of comfort and beauty of both the cottage and its setting in one of the areas of outstanding beauty in the Welsh countryside. Although the kitchen and dining areas are beautifully equipped, if you feel like a night off from cooking then the Cherry Pie Inn is right next door and offers wonderful food. I will definitely be going back and can highly recommend this as a place to stay.

  • A great place to stay make sure you follow hosts direction and approach only from A55 J31 otherwise you will struggle to find it. Very peaceful and a beautiful place to stay.

  • Delightful accommodations, great spacious feel despite only being a one bedroom apartment. The old fashioned decor really suited the space but still with all the mod cons one needs. Everything was sparkling clean.

  • Have already recommended to several friends and family, beautiful little cabin x

    Abigail2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • What a brilliant place to stay! Absolutely adored our time here, the lodge is so cosy and relaxing that we cancelled our NYE plans and had a BBQ on the wooden fire outside and just chilled in the hot tub all night. So lovely and clean, great facilities. All you need to do is a little food shop and you’re set for your stay! Huw and his dad were so lovely, we didn’t realise the cabin was in front of their house but it is secluded and very private. You’re literally not disturbed unless you ask to see them and they are there as soon you ask. Brilliant service! The dogs were also very cute, they just come see you once to have a nosey and don’t really come around again so don’t be put off by that like we nearly were! 10/10 stay and experience. Really hoping I can convince someone to come visit with me again!

  • This place is pretty incredible. We were lucky enough for it to snow while we were there which made it feel like we were on a mountain in Canada. Beautiful views, lively surroundings and great hosts

  • The sunset cabin was even more gorgeous than the photos. Me and my boyfriend went to escape for the weekend and we were definitely able to do that at the cabin! We loved the hot tub and the beautiful views! Michael and Helen were lovely and made us feel very welcome. Would definitely recommend staying there.

  • We had a fabulous stay at Liz's cottage for my partner's birthday. The spacious cottage was in a great location and was well kitted out, with stylish yet homely feel. The bed was very comfy and we had a lovely 2 nights sleep and the power shower was definitely reviving after a long trip up from London. Liz had left lots of helpful information about local things to do and the grounds of the property were seemed very family friendly. Parking was easy and there was lots of beautiful scenery. Liz very kindly offered us a later check out, which was very sweet of her and made all the difference on a Sunday. We would highly recommend her property and I am sure we will be back. Thanks so much

  • It’s really cute. Better than the pictures, lovely modern little retreat. Great views and the jacuzzi is lovely. Bring along some board games in case of bad weather. Food at the nearby pub is lovely. Also there is a toaster as I was wondering as the listing doesn’t say and a very small freezer compartment. To chill the bubbly for in the jacuzzi of course.

  • Liz’s Pods are fabulous..... The view and location are very peaceful The deck and hot tub screened discreetly for privacy. Will definitely return and highly recommend.
