Charles is a wonderful host. He surprised me and another Tennant with Blueberry Muffins! He is thought and courteous. Quick responses to any message I sent him. The house is cute. I believe the bed in the double bed room that I slept in was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in.

Beautiful location and great host!

I didn’t arrive to Charles home until 9pm because of bad traffic. Charles met me at the door and helped me carry my items inside his home. I was glad to see the home had a working alarm system and a nice television. Charles had great hospitality and shared tips on good places to go and directions to places. The home had a nice Chalet type charm and was easy to find. I would stay here again.

In town on business and found Mr. Charles place and loved it. Feels like a cabin in the woods, very quiet and laid back. would love to stay there again when I am back in the area.

This was my 4th or 5 the visit to Charles place. It is a great value for the money. Whenever I'm in the area I always try and stay there.

This vintage house is a throwback to 50 years ago when you could sit on the front porch and enjoy the weather, walk to downtown for a curious stroll or a bite to eat. Quiet and restful! Just far enough off the beaten path to get away from it all!

Blue Shadows is a great place to stay for a quiet getaway. The hosts were so sweet and they provided us with delicious homemade goodies! The guesthouse was very clean and was full of charm. We also decided to take a walk on the nature trails and had a great time. I highly recommend this place for a romantic weekend getaway. I will definitely be returning here in the future!

Miss Janet is the ultimate hostess! She and her family are utterly delightful. The guest house was clean, comfortable and cozy. I didn't want to leave!

Quiet, peaceful, serene. That's what you get when you stay at Blue Shadows. Southern hospitality at it's finest. You might be a stranger before you get there; but you won't be by the time you leave. We loved our stay at this apartment. We hiked in the woods and lounged on the balcony. Melissa was charming and the whole place was beautiful and very well maintained. I will definitely stay here again upon my return to this area. We loved the Rural Studio books, and other architecture books on the shelves, the cookies and scones and stocked ice box were lovely thoughts as well!

The house is cozy with a beautiful Christmas decor every corner. I loved that there’s many dogs display too. Every thing was perfect except the weather. It’s rained all day so we didn’t had a chance to fish. We’ll definitely be back !

Great place for some R & R. It is so peaceful, quiet and beautiful. The cabin was perfect for our family and our dog. It has everything you need and more. Beds are super comfortable and it’s very quiet. Place was very clean and has everything you need in the kitchen. All appliances work great and are all new. Hosts were always available and quick to respond if needed something. We recommend this place to everyone and we look forward to going back.

This place is a total gem. There are not enough amazing words to describe this quaint cabin in the woods of Morgan Springs, Alabama. This place is the perfect place to relax and take in all the nature. As soon as you walk in you feel at home. There are personal touches and the hosts are super accommodating. The beds are so comfy (sheets, pillows and blankets are awesome). We came for Christmas and they had decorations and little tree. Johnny helped us build an amazing fire in the fire pit. There were plenty of towels and other things to make our stay comfortable. We will definitely come and stay again. Awesome, awesome awesome!

Beautiful cabin in a beautiful spot! Very remote, with plenty of trails for walking the property. The cabin is super-comfy. Loved the peace and quiet.

I had to be in the area for work, and this worked out perfectly - very convenient, but on top of that, just a nice and peaceful place to unwind at the end of the day - loved the dock and the lake!

This beautiful house in a quiet Alabama town full of promise made for special memories with my kids. We enjoyed the kitchen and dining areas for our family dinner, the TV for a favorite movie, and every one of us slept about 10 hours in the luxurious beds. The rest was much needed. The front porch I has the perfect southern evening vibe. Also, we enjoyed talking with the owners of Social Butterfly, a store downtown, and driving around looking at vintage buildings that will be restored to their glory soon. I’m glad we found this little gem in Demopolis and have a steady place to stay when we visit. Mike was the perfect host and my boys say “thanks for the basket of Hershey kisses!!”

Keith and I loved everything about our first experience with an Airbnb rental and are thankful it was with Mike and Louise at the Canebreak Cottage. From pulling in to the driveway to walking up on the the porch to opening the door together, we were speechless and immediately felt at home. All the stress of daily life and the expectations of Christmas melted away. The smell, the crisp of cleanliness, the well decorated home and all the little things thought of by the hosts and the sweet gift basket was overwhelmingly pleasant! All our family and friends loved this cottage and were just as impressed as we were! We look forward to our next stay!

Canebrake Cottage is a beautiful house in the perfect location for visits to Demopolis and the surrounding area. We thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful cottage! Mike is a great host too. I highly recommend the Canebrake Cottage!

We were a crew of 6 women for our annual LSU away game girls' weekend. LOVED THIS PLACE! The front porch is so welcoming with rockers & bench & beautifully decorated for fall! Perfect for morning coffee, watching the sun come up & plan your day. The owners put obvious effort into creating a really upscale cozy & comfortable home away from home experience! A big ole basket of Hershey kisses greeted us in the foyer as soon as we walked in! The couches & chairs are all very comfortable & there was plenty seating in den for our group to hang out & visit. We actually joked about NOT going to the LSU-Bama game on Saturday! (So glad we were THERE though...GEAUX TIGERS! 💜🐯🏈💛🤩) Y'all...the beds were REALLY comfy & had plush bedding! This girl loves her sleep & that king bed was PERRRRRFECT! Quiet, well maintained neighborhood in this quaint town, with Walmart, McDonald's, & other necessities nearby! All the little extras were truly thoughtful: gift basket with wine, crackers, cookies, etc. GOOD coffee (hard to compete with our LA local brands!), complete with all the fixings & enough for all 6 of us to have as much as we wanted (did I mention that Louisiana women LOVE their coffee?) Also fridge was stocked for us with chilled bottled water, cokes & sprites. Lastly, THANK YOU Mike for running to rescue us when we couldn't get the door code thing right & for being so understanding & patient! P.S. Probably need to replenish business cards on foyer table because we ALL loved it so much we want to go back with hubbies &/or kiddoes for a quick getaway weekend!

It was absolutely exactly what I wanted for my bachelor party! Great location if you are wanting to be away from people but close enough to Demopolis and Greensboro if you wanna go out. Would definitely stay at the anchor house again

My friends and I drove in from Texas to attend a football game in Tuscaloosa. The house has lots of space to accompany a large group which worked out great for us. Pamela was overall a great host. She was super helpful prior to our arrival and called to check in on us when we arrived. Although the house is a bit of a drive from nearby towns, it's in a beautiful spot with a huge yard where you can sit on the back porch and enjoy the crisp morning air. Since we did have a large group of people, the hour long drive to and from Tuscaloosa was well worth it for the amount of space in this house.

This is a wonderful place to stay. We were 2 couples and were very comfortable. The house itself was beautiful - felt like we were able to experience the history of the area by staying here. Cooper offers a great tour which we highly recommend to enhance your stay.

Cooper is a very helpful host and the house was very clean, well stocked, and well decorated. Having a heater in every bedroom and most common areas was an added benefit in that it allowed each of us to set our own room temperature instead of fighting over the thermostat to the central heat. The location is very quiet and the beds very comfortable. One thing to keep in mind is that there is no WiFi and if you are on the Verizon network you will experience very poor to no network connection. I highly recommend Cooper's house if you are looking to get away from it all and be in touch with nature while still having a very comfortable and pleasant lodging.

Without a doubt the best airbnb experience we had so far. An absolute unique time-travel-like experience, sleeping in a old plantation house. 3 huge Bedrooms, perfect for 6 People. No TV, no WiFi, just nature and a lot of space inside an outside. Marion, a cute small Village is about 10 minutes away for all you need. We unfortunately just had time for a 1 night stay on our way from New Orleans to Atlanta, but we absolutely wished we had time for at least a second night. Get sure to make a Tour with Cooper on the Plantation (1.5h, 20$ each) to learn about the Place you stay on. If you are looking for a stay in Alabama, choose this! It‘s way more than having a bed for the night.

Felt like I was back in the 19th century. We all loved it. This is a place that I would consider a bonding place within guests because not much contact with the outside world. It was very quite.

This was a wonderful find in Marion. Our family has deep roots there and we were in town for a family function. On a whim I checked AirBnb to see if there were any options instead of a hotel. I was so pleased to see this! We had plenty of room for our family of 5. The coffee bar and continental breakfast were very nice. The space is very well done and modern yet traditional. Beds were so comfortable and the house was very clean. The location is perfect in Marion. Walk to MMI, Judson, Washington Street shops. The hosts are very responsive to questions. Check in was a breeze.

This charming retreat is ideal for a visit to Marion. The decorations are lovely, continental breakfast is delicious, and the house is within walking distance of both Judson College and Marion Institute. We hope to stay again soon!

Outstanding stay. If you're having trouble finding a place in Tuscaloosa for a game this is a great option. Although this is 30 minutes from Tuscaloosa it's heading in the direction opposite of all the cars leaving the game so it's smooth sailing and almost all highway. The host was amazingly gracious. We slept well and it was an amazing overall stay. Much more comfortable and enjoyable than staying in a hotel

Delphine makes you feel at home and relaxed immediately. Her house is walking distance from the centre of this small historic town in rural Alabama.

Delphine's home is as advertised. This was our very first experience with Airbnb so we were unsure what to expect. She made us feel right at home.

This place is incredible! The moment we arrived at Holly's place, we were greeted with an abundance of southern hospitality and charm. Self check-in was a breeze and we even had gated parking in the huge backyard. Inside we found all sorts of thoughtful amenities waiting for us. Plus, the interior is just stunning, like something out of a magazine. Holly has combined the best historic elements of this house with all the modern amenities you could need, like fast wifi. She had even set out all the snacks and drinks we could want for "porching" during our three day stay. To top it all off, the house is just a five minute walk to all of the shops and cafes on Main Street (try the Stable and the Pie Lab!) And Tuscaloosa is just a half hour up the road. If you're looking for a fabulous stay in Greensboro, you've found it. Just book it before someone else does! Thanks for such a great stay, Holly. We will be back!

Great space for a large group. We had mixed ages from multiple families, and the home comfortably accommodated everyone. Pam and Steve were fantastic hosts from start to finish.

Pam and Steve were so lovely to work with throughout the whole process. When we arrived we saw that they had left us a handwritten note with some helpful information as well as brownies to snack on and the most delicious breakfast rolls. Their home is absolutely gorgeous and so warm and welcoming.

Love this place, what a peaceful night alone, and this house is beautifully old, I mean very old, but it stands strongly, good bones. It brought me back to the old century, love that feeling. Thank you for breakfast before I left. Come on and stay there whenever you need to medicate yourself or want to be alone away from home. Greensboro is a very nice town, not city filled with many old historic houses. ❤️

The old house is beautiful and comfortable, very well placed and has a porch with rocking chair: ideal for reading with a good cold beer in the evening! The communication with Laird and Marla was perfect and they also took the time to answer my questions about places in the area I wanted to visit. If I have to go back to Greensboro, I will go back to this house again! To recommend!
