Stay in our 1920's Rosenwald Schoolhouse in historical downtown Greensboro AL. Renovated by a local non-profit, this schoolhouse is one of many built as part of a project by Booker T. Washington and Julius Rosenwald in the early 20th century to help educate young African Americans in the South. The schoolhouse still contains some of its original walls and wood work with an additional upstairs dormitory style sleeping area for large groups.
Downtown Greensboro is small, quiet town 45 minutes from Tuscaloosa. On Main Street we have the famous Pie Lab restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and amazing pies! There is also a small coffee shop called The Stable that serves coffee, smoothies, sandwiches and more.

  • A very nice gentleman who is very accommodating!!!

  • Charles is a wonderful host. He surprised me and another Tennant with Blueberry Muffins! He is thought and courteous. Quick responses to any message I sent him. The house is cute. I believe the bed in the double bed room that I slept in was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in.

  • Beautiful location and great host!

  • I didn’t arrive to Charles home until 9pm because of bad traffic. Charles met me at the door and helped me carry my items inside his home. I was glad to see the home had a working alarm system and a nice television. Charles had great hospitality and shared tips on good places to go and directions to places. The home had a nice Chalet type charm and was easy to find. I would stay here again.

  • In town on business and found Mr. Charles place and loved it. Feels like a cabin in the woods, very quiet and laid back. would love to stay there again when I am back in the area.

Quiet. Wooded. Retreat. This - and the separate Guest House - is all yours to enjoy. The private entrance leads up a flight of stairs. Continental breakfast is provided for you in the guest quarters. Our family home for 3 generations, many live oak and pecan trees are from the original antebellum home site era. Notched timbers from that original 1857 home are now part of the lavender barn structure. The present main home was built by our grandfather May, a lumber businessman, in 1941.
THE SPACE: This space is designed for someone seeking the perfect rural retreat. The design is bright, allowing natural light through numerous windows. A kitchenette/living room is adjoined by a separate bedroom and bathroom. KITCHEN: The kitchen is fully equipped with stove, oven, mini refrigerator, coffee maker, teapot, and dishes in the event you choose to eat in. BEDROOM: The spacious bedroom contains a king size bed with down comforters. Large windows provide plenty of natural light, while wooden windows can be shut for needed rest. Double closets provide plenty of room for storing personal effects. A cot is available for an additional guest. BATHROOM: The bathroom is decorated with an art deco chandelier and mirror, and fresh towels are provided daily. From the full bath one looks east over the lawn, flower gardens, and pastures. LIVING ROOM: Fully furnished lounging space with vintage sofa, coffee table, and chairs. A collection of travel and art books in the built-ins provide ample material for leisure reading. The living space opens up to a balcony through French doors, giving access the outdoors. Chairs and breakfast table, allow for a meal or coffee while taking in the views of gardens, pastures, the lavender colored barn, and the forests beyond. GROUNDS: Large pecan trees, live oaks, and magnolia trees fill the lawns around the house. Vernacular and a formal gardens full of azaleas, gardenias, and cannas provide a haven for hummingbirds. After settling in, guests at Blueshadows usually first relax on the lawn in chairs under the pecan trees, and follow with a walk or run through wilder parts. Be sure to make time to walk “Grandfathers Nature Trail” on our property. It’s a 1.5 mile trail that starts just outside our fenced yard, headed south. It’s an 8-10 minute walk to the boat house on the 10-acre pond. The trails follows the perimeter of the pond, surrounded by old-growth hardwood timber. Reviewers often say the nature trail was a high point of their experience. Our dog, Bobby, will be your trail guide. More on the Nature Trail. The trail is marked with signs and a series of foot bridges over the creeks. (If unsure which way the trail goes, stay to the edge of the pond - the trail always returns to the edge of the water). There’s a series of beaver dams that can be seen, and evidence of beavers presence can be seen all along the trail. Quiet walkers with careful eyes often see wood ducks, deer, turkey, and beavers (swimming in the late evening), and on rare occasions, raccoon, fox and bobcat. Excursions into the natural beauty of pine and hardwood forests are followed by an easy return to the graceful comfort of the guest house. Through the years we have enjoyed seeing these peaceful settings offer our guests respite from the noise of urban life, allowing the quiet charm of the rural South to be heard. LAKE & FISHING: Wood-ducks, herons, and beaver make their homes on a 10 acre lake, an 8-minute walk from the guest house. Bass and brim are caught from two docks, and from the banks, which is reached by a system of nature trails winding along the shore. Guests use their own fishing equipment, and are requested to catch and release bass under 6 pounds. Bass over 6 pounds can be caught as well. Photos are suggested of such catches to support the general integrity of anglers :)
  • Blue Shadows is a great place to stay for a quiet getaway. The hosts were so sweet and they provided us with delicious homemade goodies! The guesthouse was very clean and was full of charm. We also decided to take a walk on the nature trails and had a great time. I highly recommend this place for a romantic weekend getaway. I will definitely be returning here in the future!

  • Quiet, peaceful, serene. That's what you get when you stay at Blue Shadows. Southern hospitality at it's finest. You might be a stranger before you get there; but you won't be by the time you leave. I definitely recommend staying at Blue Shadows to anyone in the area. Can't say enough good things about it.

  • We loved our stay at this apartment. We hiked in the woods and lounged on the balcony. Melissa was charming and the whole place was beautiful and very well maintained. I will definitely stay here again upon my return to this area. We loved the Rural Studio books, and other architecture books on the shelves, the cookies and scones and stocked ice box were lovely thoughts as well!

Located in what was once Morgansprings, now, North Perry County, the cabin is off of CR23, between Marion and Greensboro, AL, off of HWY 14. Eutaw, Demopolis, Selma are area destinations. The National Forrest is ten minutes away and Tuscaloosa is just under 50 miles ( an hour's drive). The cabin offers fishing, paddle boating, nature hikes, and more. Refresh for full days work or just relax and enjoy - permission to relish the joy of relaxing is the gift of the lake cabin farm
Built-in 2005, the cabin doors open to an expansive main area with high vaulted ceilings. Each area is defined by the furniture with a dining table that seats 10 and the kitchen boasting an island fit for any family gathering - the living area stretches across the cabin with two sitting areas that are all-inclusive - and can easily view the 50 inch TV in comfort (Dish channels) - the sleeping area is located in the back corner of the cabin with three generous bunk beds tucked away - all new mattresses and bedding make for a really great nights sleep - there are two couches long enough and wide enough they are great for sleeping too - the bathroom offers "the best shower" and is where the washer and dryer are located. The appliances are all new with icemaker, dishwasher, microwave and your choice of a Keurig or regular coffee machine. There is a screened-in porch with a gas grill and sitting area - and a porch overlooking the lake. The john-boat and paddle boat are popular attractions, along with fishing and hiking. Poles and bait are available or bring your own. Children must be supervised and life jackets are furnished. The cabin has all modern amenities, including internet and Roku TV. A high chair as well as all kinds of great comfortable furniture for kids and adults to sink into. We recommend opting to sit around the fire pit and roast marshmallows and see the sunset and beautiful full moon, telling stories to friends and family. The land has been in the host family for generations and they live on the farm. Their home is located just around from the cabin on the lake - they are available 24/7 on the property.
Just twenty minutes from Marion, Alabama and 45 minutes to Tuscaloosa. Built-in 2005 on family land, the cabin is a vacation destination for fishing and wildlife nature walks, bird watching, photography and more. Located in North Perry County in an area once known as Morgan Springs, the Cabin sits on 80 acres at the south end of an 8-acre lake. Surrounded by trees and foliage the roads are gravel/dirt and the wildlife abundant. The nearest country store is on the way to T-town just seven miles! The nearest town is Marion (15 miles) or Greensboro (18 miles). The nearest Walmart is located in Brent, AL about a 30-minute drive. Guest typically arrive with all of the groceries and incidentals for the duration of their stay, since the cabin is a destination rather than just a place to sleep - they enjoy nature walks, bird watching, fishing, photography or cruising the private lake in the paddleboat. The welcoming at home feeling the inside of the cabin provides is perfect for quiet time and naps.
  • My friends and I had a great time staying at John and Susanna's cabin. The location was beautiful and serene. The space was clean and stocked with everything you need to have a relaxing time. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice escape from the city.

Beds are super comfortable and it’s very quiet. Place was very clean and has everything you need in the kitchen. All appliances work great and are all new. Hosts were always available and quick to respond if needed something. We recommend this place to everyone and we look forward to going back.

  • Lovely place. But definitely out of the way and rustic with a good 5 minute drive from the main road. But quiet and peaceful which is what we were looking for.

  • This is an amazing place with exceptional hospitality!

    Joni2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a total gem. There are not enough amazing words to describe this quaint cabin in the woods of Morgan Springs, Alabama. This place is the perfect place to relax and take in all the nature. As soon as you walk in you feel at home. There are personal touches and the hosts are super accommodating. The beds are so comfy (sheets, pillows and blankets are awesome). We came for Christmas and they had decorations and little tree. Johnny helped us build an amazing fire in the fire pit. There were plenty of towels and other things to make our stay comfortable. We will definitely come and stay again. Awesome, awesome awesome!

  • This beautiful house in a quiet Alabama town full of promise made for special memories with my kids. We enjoyed the kitchen and dining areas for our family dinner, the TV for a favorite movie, and every one of us slept about 10 hours in the luxurious beds. The rest was much needed. The front porch I has the perfect southern evening vibe. Also, we enjoyed talking with the owners of Social Butterfly, a store downtown, and driving around looking at vintage buildings that will be restored to their glory soon. I’m glad we found this little gem in Demopolis and have a steady place to stay when we visit. Mike was the perfect host and my boys say “thanks for the basket of Hershey kisses!!”

    Missy2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Keith and I loved everything about our first experience with an Airbnb rental and are thankful it was with Mike and Louise at the Canebreak Cottage. From pulling in to the driveway to walking up on the the porch to opening the door together, we were speechless and immediately felt at home. All the stress of daily life and the expectations of Christmas melted away. The smell, the crisp of cleanliness, the well decorated home and all the little things thought of by the hosts and the sweet gift basket was overwhelmingly pleasant! All our family and friends loved this cottage and were just as impressed as we were! We look forward to our next stay!

  • We were a crew of 6 women for our annual LSU away game girls' weekend. LOVED THIS PLACE! The front porch is so welcoming with rockers & bench & beautifully decorated for fall! Perfect for morning coffee, watching the sun come up & plan your day. The owners put obvious effort into creating a really upscale cozy & comfortable home away from home experience! A big ole basket of Hershey kisses greeted us in the foyer as soon as we walked in! The couches & chairs are all very comfortable & there was plenty seating in den for our group to hang out & visit. We actually joked about NOT going to the LSU-Bama game on Saturday! (So glad we were THERE though...GEAUX TIGERS! 💜🐯🏈💛🤩) Y'all...the beds were REALLY comfy & had plush bedding! This girl loves her sleep & that king bed was PERRRRRFECT! Quiet, well maintained neighborhood in this quaint town, with Walmart, McDonald's, & other necessities nearby! All the little extras were truly thoughtful: gift basket with wine, crackers, cookies, etc. GOOD coffee (hard to compete with our LA local brands!), complete with all the fixings & enough for all 6 of us to have as much as we wanted (did I mention that Louisiana women LOVE their coffee?) Also fridge was stocked for us with chilled bottled water, cokes & sprites. Lastly, THANK YOU Mike for running to rescue us when we couldn't get the door code thing right & for being so understanding & patient! P.S. Probably need to replenish business cards on foyer table because we ALL loved it so much we want to go back with hubbies &/or kiddoes for a quick getaway weekend!

Enjoy the peace & quiet of country life, away from the intrusions of phones and technology in our rustic camp house. Anchor House sits on 10 wooded acres backing right up to Big Prairie Creek in Lock 5, Al. Located 11 miles south of the small quaint town of Greensboro, known for catfish, antebellum homes and magnolia groves. We're just a short stroll away from the water, so bring your, boats, canoes and fishing gear and get out on that river! 52 miles from UA, an easy 45 min ride to campus!
Tons of outdoor space in the rear, front, and both sides of the house make it perfect for grilling, outdoor games, picnics, family gatherings, getaways, OR completely nothing... just silence and simple beauty. Newly installed central HVAC system adds even more comfort year round.
  • It was absolutely exactly what I wanted for my bachelor party! Great location if you are wanting to be away from people but close enough to Demopolis and Greensboro if you wanna go out. Would definitely stay at the anchor house again

  • My friends and I drove in from Texas to attend a football game in Tuscaloosa. The house has lots of space to accompany a large group which worked out great for us. Pamela was overall a great host. She was super helpful prior to our arrival and called to check in on us when we arrived. Although the house is a bit of a drive from nearby towns, it's in a beautiful spot with a huge yard where you can sit on the back porch and enjoy the crisp morning air. Since we did have a large group of people, the hour long drive to and from Tuscaloosa was well worth it for the amount of space in this house.

This is an authentic Federal/Greek Revival Antebellum farm house built in the 1830's. You will have full access to the whole house, which has 3 furnished bedrooms as well as an extra room that could be used as a workspace or an extra bedroom. Entertain yourself with board games in the living room, cooking in the kitchen and conversation over dinner in the dining room . Explore the large scenic yard, relax with a drink, birdwatch and admire the deer that often roam around in the afternoons.
We are located on the Moore-Webb-Holmes Plantation where you can tour the historic grounds and enjoy the wonderful architecture of over 20 farm buildings and nature at its best. My family settled this property in 1819 and is one of the oldest and last active continuous farms in the state of Alabama. We are located in the heart of the Black Belt of Alabama, known for its fertile soil, antebellum architecture, rich culture and birthplace of the Civil Rights Movement. We are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
  • This is a wonderful place to stay. We were 2 couples and were very comfortable. The house itself was beautiful - felt like we were able to experience the history of the area by staying here. Cooper offers a great tour which we highly recommend to enhance your stay.

    Agnes And Mary2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Cooper is a very helpful host and the house was very clean, well stocked, and well decorated. Having a heater in every bedroom and most common areas was an added benefit in that it allowed each of us to set our own room temperature instead of fighting over the thermostat to the central heat. The location is very quiet and the beds very comfortable. One thing to keep in mind is that there is no WiFi and if you are on the Verizon network you will experience very poor to no network connection. I highly recommend Cooper's house if you are looking to get away from it all and be in touch with nature while still having a very comfortable and pleasant lodging.

  • Cooper, Appreciate the hospitality a lot. Thank you much for allowing us to stay in your families home. Also thanks to your mom for bringing us some milk for my 3 year old milk monster. Great home in historic Folsom Alabama. Thanks again. Thomas

  • Without a doubt the best airbnb experience we had so far. An absolute unique time-travel-like experience, sleeping in a old plantation house. 3 huge Bedrooms, perfect for 6 People. No TV, no WiFi, just nature and a lot of space inside an outside. Marion, a cute small Village is about 10 minutes away for all you need. We unfortunately just had time for a 1 night stay on our way from New Orleans to Atlanta, but we absolutely wished we had time for at least a second night. Get sure to make a Tour with Cooper on the Plantation (1.5h, 20$ each) to learn about the Place you stay on. If you are looking for a stay in Alabama, choose this! It‘s way more than having a bed for the night.

  • Felt like I was back in the 19th century. We all loved it. This is a place that I would consider a bonding place within guests because not much contact with the outside world. It was very quite.

  • For a true taste of old southern living in a remote and peaceful, small town part of Alabama, come visit stay at this impeccably well-maintained house. Plenty of space, great for photos!

    Daniel2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • This place was amazing. The pictures online were beautiful and it was even better in person. Cooper was very accommodating to a couple of requests I sent him. The beds were very comfortable, the house was clean and our family had a lot of quality time together.

    Marsha2019-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • What a great experience of stepping back into history! The house is very clean, hospitable and spacious. Cooper was a great host. Would definitely recommend.

  • This was a wonderful find in Marion. Our family has deep roots there and we were in town for a family function. On a whim I checked AirBnb to see if there were any options instead of a hotel. I was so pleased to see this! We had plenty of room for our family of 5. The coffee bar and continental breakfast were very nice. The space is very well done and modern yet traditional. Beds were so comfortable and the house was very clean. The location is perfect in Marion. Walk to MMI, Judson, Washington Street shops. The hosts are very responsive to questions. Check in was a breeze.

  • Outstanding stay. If you're having trouble finding a place in Tuscaloosa for a game this is a great option. Although this is 30 minutes from Tuscaloosa it's heading in the direction opposite of all the cars leaving the game so it's smooth sailing and almost all highway. The host was amazingly gracious. We slept well and it was an amazing overall stay. Much more comfortable and enjoyable than staying in a hotel

Welcome to the Jackson-McCrory-Ellis House on Main Street in historic Greensboro, Alabama. This quintessential small town, population 2500 and known as the Catfish Capital of Alabama, is located in West Central Alabama in the heart of the area known as The Black Belt, originally named for its rich dark soil. Greensboro is not only known for its numerous historical homes and civil rights history, but also has been blessed with the presence of Rural Studio, an off-campus design build program of Auburn University that has changed the Hale County landscape with it's unique approach to architectural design. In addition, Hale County is a world renowned whitetail deer hunting destination, a nationally recognized birding sanctuary and home to the M. Barnett Lawley Forever Wild Field Trial Area (FWFTA). There is even a skate board park funded by the Tony Hawk Foundation! There is something to do for everyone of all ages and interests. Small towns can be sometimes difficult to navigate with their odd store hours and traditions, so let us help you navigate your stay for the best Black Belt Experience. Also, being only 40 minutes from Tuscaloosa and The University of Alabama, this is the perfect location for those who enjoy the game but don't enjoy the insanity of Gameday weekend in Tuscaloosa.
Centrally located on Main Street, you are only blocks away from both restaurants and shopping with historical places all around you.
  • Holly’s home has great space, was very clean and beautifully decorated. Holly had lots of necessities and ‘nice’ities available to us. Our big family and friends fit perfectly and we very much enjoyed her home. We had one issue with which Holly cheerfully and efficiently dealt with it to our satisfaction. We would absolutely stay here again. Thank you Holly for hosting and helping to provide a great weekend for our family!

    Laura2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Holly could not have been a more gracious host! She was very proactive in communicating before, during and after our stay. The home is very spacious and clean with a well-stocked kitchen. The beds were very comfortable. The home's location on Main Street can't be beat (go to Pie Lab!!!); it's great if you're visiting Auburn's Rural Studio program as we were. Will definitely book again on our next visit to the area!!

    Eric2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely home. We were very comfortable and had everything we needed. Holly was a great hostess.

    Dianne2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • My family and I rented this space and absolutely loved it! It’s a beautiful home and Holly went above and beyond to anticipate all of our needs before we arrived. I especially loved the easy check-in/out process and the super comfy beds. The home was super clean and we had everything we could’ve needed. We hope to visit again soon!

    Alyssa2019-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • This place is incredible! The moment we arrived at Holly's place, we were greeted with an abundance of southern hospitality and charm. Self check-in was a breeze and we even had gated parking in the huge backyard. Inside we found all sorts of thoughtful amenities waiting for us. Plus, the interior is just stunning, like something out of a magazine. Holly has combined the best historic elements of this house with all the modern amenities you could need, like fast wifi. She had even set out all the snacks and drinks we could want for "porching" during our three day stay. To top it all off, the house is just a five minute walk to all of the shops and cafes on Main Street (try the Stable and the Pie Lab!) And Tuscaloosa is just a half hour up the road. If you're looking for a fabulous stay in Greensboro, you've found it. Just book it before someone else does! Thanks for such a great stay, Holly. We will be back!

  • Love this place, what a peaceful night alone, and this house is beautifully old, I mean very old, but it stands strongly, good bones. It brought me back to the old century, love that feeling. Thank you for breakfast before I left. Come on and stay there whenever you need to medicate yourself or want to be alone away from home. Greensboro is a very nice town, not city filled with many old historic houses. ❤️

If I have to go back to Greensboro, I will go back to this house again! To recommend!

Southern mansion 35 minutes to Tuscaloosa/University of Alabama. Beautiful antebellum home with tall ceilings, original woodwork, and replicas of the original carpet and drapes. This listing is for a bedroom with a private bath. This may be one of three in the main home or one of two in a renovated outbuilding. Visit our other listings for rooms with shared baths or to rent all 8 bedrooms/6.5 bathrooms. We are also available for weddings, Hollywood productions, and other events.
Architect David Rinehart Anthony designed Everhope to be Big, Bold, & Beautiful. A Gazette article stated “The simplistic yet graceful lines of Everhope make it one of the most beautiful plantation homes in Alabama." With original woodwork and curtains and carpet designed to replicate the originals, Everhope remains true to its roots but also has elegant modern updates. Everhope is on both the State of Alabama and National Registers of Historic Places. You will have unlimited access to explore the grounds. Everhope's acreage is cross-fenced with peach, pecan, fig, persimmon, pear, pine, oak, cedar, and magnolia trees, as well as beautiful other shrubs and flowers. A TV may be available if the pecan shelling house is not otherwise occupied, but we choose to mostly stay true to our 1850s roots and do not have TVs available otherwise. Fast, reliable internet in our neck of the woods is still just a dream, so no wi fi is available, though cell phones provide some connectivity, and the local library (about a 10 minute drive) is available for any data-intensive needs (can even access their internet from the parking lot!). Evenings have been known to go late into the night on the 8 chair “rocking" porch. We can enable cook-outs or bonfires, too. If you desire one-of-a-kind and a chance to disconnect and unwind, this is your place! On sold-out Alabama football weekends, we may have a hot southern breakfast for you (depends on game time and other factors!). We can enable parking for 100+ cars, making it an ideal wedding and event location.
Eutaw is one of few places in the South with a large number of its original antebellum homes. Surrounded by three rivers, its unique location saved it from destruction by the Union armies during the Civil War, and it is now known for its architecture, boasting 27 antebellum structures on the National Register of Historic places, with more than 50 that qualify. Its river borders also benefit the area, providing a solid agricultural base, which has helped gain Greene County a national reputation for some of the best hunting and fishing in the Southeast USA. We often host hunters here. Everhope is 3.2 miles from interstate 20/59, providing convenient access to neighboring cities, such as Tuscaloosa and Demopolis. We are about 35 minutes away from the University of Alabama and thank the community for its ongoing support. RTR! A large Love's truck stop is open at the Eutaw exit on I-20, providing excellent fast food options. Roebuck’s Landing Restaurant and bait-shop, located on the river, is an easy 15 to 20 minute drive from Everhope. Diamond Jim’s Steakhouse and the University of West Alabama are about 25 minutes away in Livingston. Nick's in the Sticks, a steakhouse “institution” for the University of Alabama community, is about 25 mins away, just two turns from Everhope! Greensboro, Marion, and Gainesville are all charming towns fairly close to Eutaw, rife with history and beautiful old southern homes and architecture.

This three bedroom room, two bath home is located 13 miles south of Tuscaloosa. It is located directly across from Mound State Park. This home is decorated with neutral colors, and a farmhouse feel. Lots of natural lighting gives this home a warm, inviting feeling. Moundville is about a twenty-five minute drive to Bryant-Denny Stadium.
My home is painted in neutral colors with lots of natural lighting. The kitchen and living area are an open floor plan. This provides for lots of conversation opportunities!
My neighbors are very friendly, but we are all very private. Moundville is a very small town. We have a Dollar General and Family Dollar. There are several gas station selections. Eating out opportunities are very small. We have a Subway, a local barbecue restaurant, and a local pizza restaurant. There are lots of options in Tuscaloosa.
  • Great place to stay!

  • Tabitha was a great host. She was always available and very helpful. Her home was cozy and spacious and fit our needs well. It was a convenient location to go to the University, as well as dining in Tuscaloosa. We would gladly rent from her again.

  • Tabitha’s house was very clean and neat. Myself and my guest all enjoyed staying there for my wedding weekend. It was the perfect place to stay! I loved how she decorated the whole house making it feel cozy and homey. Tabitha also had very good communication the whole experience from the time we book and made sure it was a memorable experience for all of us. We appreciate her hospitality!

Our home is located 12 miles south of I-59. We are located on Mound State Parkway which is also where the Moundville Archaeology Park is. Our home consists of 3 bedrooms with queen beds and we have a bonus room with 2 double beds and 2 full bathrooms and a half bathroom located off the living room area. There is an enclosed garage with a keyless code as is the back door. We also have a pool. Coffee pot and a Keurig Machine are available.
There is a Dollar General and a Family Dollar within a half mile of our home. There are several gas stations, however there isn't a grocery store. But, a Winn Dixie and Publix are located 8 miles north.
The Moundville Archaeology Museum is 1/4 mile from our home. We also have a steak house located downtown Moundville called Big Mike's, it's amazing.

This is a private home, mid-century modern decor, built in the 1950s on 3/4 acre lot. Lots of trees surround the property. Located on a dead end street, there is little traffic, so walking and bicycling are encouraged.
I have two bedrooms to rent with 2 queen sized beds, sleeping four people. The list price of $180 is for both rooms. If you only want one room, message me and we'll work something out. This is a large home on a quiet Street with a beautiful back yard view. Guests have the run of the house and property , which is surrounded by large old trees.
Varied structures, from modern to Victorian to Antebellum. Lots of trees, birds and squirrels. Great for walking. Two blocks from town square, many historical buildings.
  • Always a great time at Delphines
