Greenport became a huge oystering center during the first half of the 20th century and at one time there were over a dozen oyster processing plants in town. As the oyster industry began to shrink, the Village turned its attention towards tourism and has developed into a vibrant destination for visitors from all over the world. In 2011, Forbes magazine named Greenport one of the prettiest towns in the United States.

  • Really lovely little apartment, perfectly sized for our short getaway together. Walkable to town but nice and quiet, just a block from the local library and a 5-10 minute walk to all the stores and restaurants in Greenport. The space itself is clean, stylish, and very comfortable. We would be glad to stay here again!

  • Perfect location in Greeport, Hillary knows all the best spots in the aera, and the place was super clean, nice and cozy even in the winter;).

    Jon2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • What a gem! An easy walk from the train station and ferry and the delights of Main and Front Street, this quiet, stylish, well-appointed space was everything we could have needed. I want to come back to experience it in summer but even in winter there was plenty to enjoy in town and the restful, small town atmosphere of Greenport is so charming. This was a perfect base for exploring and relaxing as well.

    Nora2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend. Clean, thoughtfully appointed place, perfect for a serene getaway. Excellent location. Hillary’s a terrific host -- considerate and responsive. Wish I’d been able to stay longer.

  • Hillary's place was clean and had the right amount of space for two people. It is a few blocks from the LIRR/Jitney station and about a 5 minute walk into town. Hillary was a super responsive and helpful host, and I would recommend her place to anyone interested in seeing Greenport!

The boutique hotel features eleven Suites, including two two-bedroom apartments. The Suites combine a tropical decor with original art available for purchase from VSOP gallery.

  • Perfect location and crystal clean room

    Kib2020-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing location right in the heart of town. The multiple buildings creates a really nice layout with shops and restaurants all on the same property. The speakeasy is also a nice perk.

    Chris & Trish2019-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • We both adore the North Fork, a place that has that certain scent in the air that just breathes home in your lungs, and that certain light and look that grabs you everywhere you glance. As if this is not enough, American Beech brings yet something else, something beyond words really, a feeling that you would not be anywhere else in the world at the very moment you are realizing what you have found here. We snuggled in a former horse stall. How cool is that? We enjoyed the boutique, the restaurant, the mixology at the lovely bar, the ambiance of a small village all tucked in and away from all thoughts of the rest of the world, and Bella and Stephanie were born to be People people. We both love old things since only old things can have stories that have become old but were new stories when they were being made, the wonder of old things, and American Beech is the old made new, but with the old still sharing stories, and resonating perfectly with the love and attention that is everything American Beech . We will be back. As soon as possible...

Greenport Village is the North Fork's premiere hub filled with shopping, restaurants, bars, and family friendly activities. Beaches, vineyards, breweries, shelter island ferry, all within minutes.
  • This bungalow is adorable and pictures are very accurate. We had five girls staying. All the amenities were great, the open concept space for meals and entertainment was perfect. All beds are very comfortable and the bedding provided is fine, no need to bring extra. This was a very cold weekend but the heating was exceptional. Our overall experience was beyond expectation and we hope to make it an annual trip.

    Danielle2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We celebrated my husband’s birthday weekend here and it was just perfect: an easy walk into town, quiet when we wanted to take it easy and just chill out in the backyard or couch, and perfect for our dog to hang with us on the deck. We will absolutely look to stay here again when we come to visit Greenport or the vineyards and breweries nearby. Also the host’s taste was impeccable - definitely gave us some great ideas for our wedding place even!

    Patrice2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Love the location, coziness of the house and the need to only pack bags.. the house had all necessary tools, etc for a fab stay!

    Erin2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay here. The house is very charming and in a great location - walking distance to Main Street Greenport. Would definitely stay again!

    Evangeline2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at the NoFo bungalow!! The place was exactly how it was described and pictured. I agree with other previous reviews that a solid door for the bathroom rather than slats would have been preferred for privacy, otherwise we had no other issues! Wonderful location to walk into Main Street shops and restaurants!

    Catherine2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy, immaculate, quiet and a short walk to downtown Greenport. Couldn’t be better.

    Todd2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at the Nofo Bungalow. The house was just a quick walk from town and had everything we could have wanted for our weekend away. Hosts were great communicators and responded quickly to any questions we had. Would highly recommend!

    Toni2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing space with gorgeous views! Very close to the main town, maybe a 15 minute walk. Very quiet at night and feels extremely private for a hotel style place. Already planning to come back!

    Bobbie2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • The Lin Beach House was a wonderful stay! Leslie was prompt in answering my questions and gave great restaurant recommendations. The Bianca room had very nice touches and was a super cozy suite that is a lot bigger than you would have thought. Best part of the room was the amazing, huge shower with 4 jets! We were only there for one night but it was very relaxing for a winter stay in Greenport. Would definitely come back in the summer time!

    Alan2020-02-02T00:00:00Z

    Emily2020-01-23T00:00:00Z
  • Bianca’s room at Lin’s Beach House was lovely. The room and shower were huge and beautifully decorated. Pictures are accurate, room was very quiet, check-in was the easiest and the hotel overall was gorgeous. We didn’t get a chance to enjoy the bar as it is closed on Sundays, so we’ll have to come back for that. Note to travelers without cars: the house is about a 30 minute walk from the train station and port area where most of the restaurants and bars are, but getting an Uber is no issue. We really enjoyed our quick trip and look forward to returning to Greenport and Lin’s.

  • Carlos & Nicole's home in Greenport was the best Airbnb stay I have to date. Carlos & Nicole themselves were warm, communicative, and responsive. The house itself was immaculate and had a very cool vibe and decor - we loved eveything down to our pictures :) If you're looking for an awesome place to stay on the North Fork, look no further. This place has location, style, and every amenity you may need (and even some you may not have though of - including kids' toys!).

  • This house is so beautiful and so perfectly located. It one the best houses I’ve stayed at on Airbnb. It came equipped with everything you’d need and plenty space for large group socialise within. I’d recommend this anyone who’s thinking of booking! A Absolute dream!!!

  • This is the third year in a row that we stay in this house and we love it so much. The house is super clean, incredibly comfortable, and greatly decorated. If you’re looking for a place to stay with a group this is a great place!

    Brigeth2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely time staying at Carlos and Nicole's home in Greenport! I stayed with seven other friends over a weekend and perfectly fit our needs-- it's big and spacious, comfortable, beautiful, and convenient. It's nice how close it is to town, but also not in a noisy area. Carlos and Nicole themselves were very thorough and prompt in their communication, which I appreciated. We stayed during an extra cold weekend in January. Some of the rooms were a bit drafty upstairs, but part of that may have been related to a minor heating issue in one of the areas, which Carlos and Nicole said they would look into. I trust their follow through on this given their responsiveness throughout the process. Overall, I would highly recommend to anyone with a group. We hope to return one day!

    Molly2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Loved staying at this Airbnb. It’s really gorgeous and so so comfortable — rooms are extremely spacious, beds are so comfortable, and the living spaces are perfect. My family and I had the best time here; it really felt like home. Would be thrilled to go back!

  • The Farmhouse was an excellent place to spend our girls weekend. The whole house is beautiful and in a great location - walking distance to Greenport village. Carlos and Nicole were so accommodating easy to get in touch with. They even let us have an early check-in. You can 100% show up with just your suitcase because everything you could possibly need is provided. They even had a welcome bottle of wine for us. We would totally stay here again!

    Caitlin2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had the best stay at the farmhouse ! We hosted our annual friends thanksgiving at this fine house and there was plenty of room for everyone to roam free and mingle. It was cozy, stylish, clean and welcoming. None of us wanted to leave! Carlos and Nicole were wonderful hosts. We have found our home away from home and will absolutely return ! Don’t think twice, just book it!

  • We had a great time at The Greenport Townhouse and it was an excellent pick for our weekend with 7 girls. Check-in and out was a cinch and the location couldn’t be beat as it was a close walk to the train station and everything fun in town. The home was clean and spacious, with a great backyard, and George was a terrific host - always responsive, helpful, and gracious. Would definitely stay here again!

    Hillary2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great pick! The owner was more than helpful and checked in throughout the stay to be sure we didn’t need anything. The house is spacious, clean, comfortable, and well decorated. We were walking distance from all restaurants and shopping and a quick car ride from wineries. Needless to say, we enjoyed our stay and were more than happy with the house itself.

    Michelle2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful house near downtown Greenport - perfectly slept our group of girls with everyone in their own bed space and with access to a full bathroom. The house is thoughtfully decorated , full of open common space and has a BEAUTIFUL backyard with a fire pit and seating. We felt comfortable cooking here and made ourselves right at home. The best part was we were not but a 5 minute walk to the adorable downtown that is Greenport - it was an easy check in and check out process (George even let us check in a bit early) and the house was stocked with sheets, towels, blankets etc. The only complaint we had was the lack of paper towels, the broken Coffeemaker and a lack of a sponge for dishes. All minor things that really just didn't enable us to clean as much as we would normally. Would highly recommend this spot to anyone.

    Moll2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • This was the absolute perfect place for our weekend in Greenport. The place is spacious and beautifully decorated. We had more than enough room and it was walkable everywhere! The town is so cute and George provided wonderful recommendations. Check in and out was a breeze and George answers any questions right away! I can’t say enough about this perfect rental. I would 100% stay here again and recommend to anyone!

    Lauren2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • The Greenport Townhouse is located steps from everything you want to see and do in Greenport, yet removed from the main drag. The house is huge with super comfortable and private bedrooms and several sitting areas as well. The decor is fun and beachy and I can’t wait to come back here.

    Eva2019-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this house during our long weekend in Greenport! The house is in a great location, only a few minutes to walk into town; it’s clean, spacious, comfortable and has a great backyard! Ellen2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Jillian’s place was exactly what our group needed for a weekend out in Greenport. A short walk to town on a low traffic block. The house was very clean and had great amenities. We would love to stay here again in the future.

    Jessica2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • The House was very clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable. Quiet location that was convenient to downtown Greenport and the train station. Jillian made sure the house was in great condition when we arrived and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again.

  • Great place! Eclectic and perfect location. The beach is amazing and really is within walking distance! Plenty of nearby restaurants/ bars. There is a “hidden” tasting room that is worth a visit even if you’re not staying there. Enjoy!

  • The Lin Beach house was a great spot for a weekend getaway. Very close to downtown and walking distance to a winery behind the place. Will definitely be back!

    Gregory2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had a really lovely time staying here. Check-in was seamless and the bartenders were really helpful and hospitable. Room was sparse but nice. Bathroom is huge. A few quirks about the Jane Suite: 1. It’s right above the bar area so expect to hear music and voices in your room until about midnight. 2. The room gets really bright in the morning at sunrise. Those sensitive to light should be aware. 3. The room faces the Main Street. Not a big deal for us but some might care.

    Kho2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • So nice we booked it again for next month

    Christopher2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • The Lin Beach House is a true treasure and hidden gem on the north fork. Gorgeous rooms, the bar downstairs is beautiful and the bartenders were very kind. Coffee station in the morning was great too!

    Lauren2020-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I loved Leslie’s place. Our room was stylish and the bed was very comfortable. Also, the bar downstairs is perfect for a nightcap or to get your evening started. Delicious and creative cocktails. Overall a wonderful stay. Highly recommend.

    Jocelyn2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Loved staying here. Very large and clean rooms, easy check in process and about 1 mile to the village center where there are plenty of bars and restaurants. The bar downstairs was really nice and had a vintage feel to it. Excellent cocktails. Didnt try any food here, so cant really comment, but it sound like everything was amazing. Will definitely come back here. I'd highly recommend staying here

Located right in Greenport Village providing walking distance to all the wine tasting rooms, restaurants, bars, shopping, coffee shops, and Shelter Island Ferry. LIRR and Hampton Jitney here. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and big groups.

An architect's and interior decorator's dream home! This home is a historic boathouse built in the late 1890's, and recently & lovingly fully renovated and restored. In the middle of Greenport Village - walking distance to train station, Jitney stop, and Shelter Island Ferry as well as the best North Fork restaurants, vineyards, bars, and beaches. Two bedroom home with ground floor fireplace, outdoor shower (not enclosed), and beautifully landscaped outside patio w/grilling & dining areas.
The living room and kitchen have enormous original boathouse doors that swing open and create a unique indoor/outdoor space, perfect for putting on a record and relaxing and reading with a breeze in the sunny mornings, warming yourselves by the fire, or cooking and enjoying a glass of wine on the outdoor grill and in the kitchen. Enjoy a glass of wine and a good book on any of the three (3!) outdoor areas including adirondack chairs and porch swing, yet still be only a 2 minute walk to all that the village has to offer.
The house is central to all Greenport Village has to offer, including being less than .2 miles from the charming shops, farm to table restaurants, and cocktail bars. It is also .1 miles away from the water at Sterling Marina at the end of the street, and 1.5 miles away from Gull Pond Beach (makes a nice morning walk). In addition one of the best vineyards on the North Fork, Kontokosta, is only a mile away.
  • House was exactly as described. Extremely clean, walking distance from all the good spots in town, had everything we needed inside and Brian was responsive and a pleasure to deal with throughout.

    Gavin2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Brian’s house was a delight. The house is sparkling clean and full of style and charm, and it’s located just a short walk away from Main Street’s shops, restaurants, and bars. Brian is a thoughtful and communicative host. Would highly recommend and would love to stay again!

    Laura2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • The Boat House is just beautiful and totally lived up to expectations and more. Brian is a very responsive host and attentive to any questions we had. Check in and check out very smooth. The house is impeccable - beautifully decorated, cozy while spacious with a lovely layout. The morning light in the living room is enchanting. It’s super charming all round!!! It’s extremely comfortable with everything you could possibly need. We greatly enjoyed using the log fire in the evenings after a short stroll out for dinner. All amenities are a stones throw away while the house itself is on a very quiet and secluded road. We’ll definitely be coming back!!!

  • An amazing house, timeless, beautiful touches, great natural light, very nicely laid out. This was the highlight for us of a fortnight travelling around the States. Comfy beds, an open fireplace, leafy privacy, and a beautiful old building.

  • Beautifully styled and clean, comfortable space in the most perfect location for exploring Greenport Village. Communication was easy and Brian was very helpful with local recommendations and thoughtful touches. We loved our stay - thank you!

  • This house is a perfect home base for spending vacation time on the East End. The well-appointed, beautifully restored boathouse is on a quiet street within steps of the heart of Greenport village. It was wonderful spending summer evenings on the patio and with the large doors open to enjoy the breeze. We had excellent communications and helpful tips from the host throughout the process. We hope to be back soon!

    David2019-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • This house is as good as it appears in the pictures, if not better. The architecture and remodeling are superb, the windows and ceiling heights are beautiful and the outdoor spaces are charming and comfortable. As other reviewers have noted, the house is spotlessly clean, the furniture is comfortable, the house is well located to downtown Greenport (on a quiet street) and Brian (the host) is helpful and professional. Highly recommended!

Lower level, separate entrance and just eight steps down to door- all brand new -Off street parking available -No smoking -Access to outside shower and pool
Our neighborhood is part of the Village of Greenport. It is a historic whaling and bootlegging beach community. There are many art galleries, farm to table restaurants, pubs and bars within walking distance of the house. There is a great Roller Skating rink, Carousel, Large park (Monday night free dance parties with live bands all summer) many marinas and wonderful shops that you can walk to from the house. Above all, Greenport is part of the North Fork Wine Country, home to over 35 vineyards plus home to many breweries. You can see the grapes and hops growing along the main roads (with the strawberries, lavender, potatoes, and many more veggies). You can fish from the beach at the end of 6th Street or from the Village docks or go on board a fishing charter boat in Peconic Bay.
  • Wonderful stay. So many thoughtful touches throughout the space that made it extra inviting. Easy access to the downtown and train station, which was ideal since we didn't have a car. We will have to come back when the weather is warmer and use the pool!

  • Our stay at Emily's home was even more beautiful than we had expected. You can tell that the family puts in every effort to add amazing little finishing touches on all of the place's amenities. Charming 1850's home with fabulous country kitchen. Shared fenced yard. Easy walk into the Village for restaurants, shops and the carousel. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), big groups, and furry friends (pets permitted).
Welcome to our home. It's a sunny, centrally-located antique house with a fireplace and a big fenced yard. It is also our family home, so it has more of a personal touch than some vacation rentals. Bedrooms There are four bedrooms plus a family room upstairs. (The attic is not for guests' use.) There is air conditioning in the bedrooms and fans in the common areas. The family room has a television with an Firestick TV. WiFi provided. Kitchen The kitchen is well equipped. Please feel free to use any staples, condiments and spices. If you have a chilly night, feel free to use the fireplace. Just make sure the flue is open. Additional cleaning service is available for a charge of $125.
Our location is ideal for a visit to Greenport and the North Fork. You don't even need a car to enjoy this sweet seaside village - walk to restaurants, shops, grocery and wine shops. You won't run out of things to do in Greenport!
  • Do utilize the kitchen at Christina’s place! It is an exceptional kitchen with oyster knife and all kinds of wonderful tools. The house itself has a lot to explore.

  • Good location for the town center, golf, food stands, vineyards. Casual, old-time ambience, worked well for kids. Good cooks kitchen. No central air, if you are there in high heat.

  • Christina's house in Greenport was a wonderful place for a girl's weekend. The location is great for walking into town and the house is charming and well appointed. The kitchen was a treat for preparing meals, and the outdoor dining area and backyard were tranquil and beautiful. Would love to stay again!

  • We had a great stay at Christina's, amazing value for the amount of space and for the location. Not only are there 4 bedrooms, but there is also a separate TV room with two couches. The house has a unique historic vibe. The kitchen was great, and so was the outdoor seating area. Easy walk into downtown Greenport.

    Katie2019-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • Our house definitely did not disappoint. We had a wonderful weekend in Greenport. The house was conveniently located to everything. The kitchen was very spacious and featured something we always covet; butcher block kitchen.

    Stephen2019-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • This was the perfect place for a girls weekend. The beds were comfortable, the neighborhood is quiet and the house is just simply lovely. Something to consider: there were two bathrooms but only one shower. For the four of us, scheduling showers wasn't a problem, but if you have more people in your group, or if everyone needs to get ready at the same time, it could be a complicating factor. The location is conveniently situated halfway between the center of Greenport and the lovely Kontokosta Winery. We were easily able to get around town and the North Fork wineries without a car, though it did take us 15 min to get our first Uber since Greenport is at the far end of the island and we were visiting in off season...not a problem, but just something to keep in mind. TIP for visitors: We ate brunch both Saturday and Sunday at Bruce & Son, about a 10-min walk from the house, and it was AWESOME. Highly recommend it.

This historic Captain's house dates back to 1830 making it one of the oldest houses in Greenport. It has been beautifully renovated preserving its historic detail. It has a huge garden with mature trees, plants and a wonderful gazebo.
This is the garden wing of a beautifully renovated historic Greenport house dating back to 1830. It's one of the oldest in the Village of Greenport. The garden wing offers 2 bedrooms both with queen beds. One is next to the cozy living room on the ground floor. The second one is on the second floor off the big eat in kitchen with its vaulted ceiling. The garden wing is abundant with historic details, most notably the impressed tin ceilings and walls in the living room and first floor bedroom as well as original doors and windows. Everything has been carefully restored giving the house its wonderful old charm combined with modern amenities. There's a very big, private and fully fenced in garden complete with gazebo and deck. The garden wing has its entrance through the garden. I stay in the front part of the house. It is completely separate from the garden wing (it's a very long house) and both parts have their own entrances and even different addresses. The garden is for your private use only - I don’t use it when the garden wing is rented.
The house is right within the historic Village of Greenport and within easy walking distance to all the wonderful restaurants and shops. You can also leave your car behind as the stop for the Hampton Jitney, the LIRR and the Shelter Island ferry are also just a few streets away.
  • A beautiful, clean, spacious two bedroom home with a large kitchen and comfortable living room. With a gazebo in the backyard. Right next door to the library!

  • Isabel's place is a quiet, cozy sanctuary--perfect for a long weekend on the North Fork. We were impressed by how clean everything was, perhaps the most squeaky clean Airbnb we've ever stayed in. Though the listing says "wing" it is essentially a self-contained house which makes it ideal for those seeking a little r&r and privacy. This place is close to everything Greenport has to offer--from transportation, to restaurants, to the waterfront. Definitely plan to come back!

  • My fiancé and I stayed here during our wedding weekend in Greenport and it was just perfect. The spacious and charming apartment gave us the opportunity to prepare for our wedding in comfort and ease. The location was wonderful- on a quiet street but within short walking distance of everything we needed. The space is as advertised- full kitchen, large bed/bedroom, and spacious bathroom and living room. But it’s even more lovely than the photos. Plus, John had a special welcome at check in to celebrate our wedding. We didn’t want to leave and will definitely come back to stay next time we’re in the area!

Charm filled 1 bedroom apt. in 2 family home on the Main Rd. Open living and dining room, 1 bath (newly renovated in spring 2019), and kitchenette. Delightful artwork in each room. Private entrance via French doors on east side of house. Small deck for outdoor dining. Close to beaches, Orient village, maritime Greenport, wineries, farm stands, etc.. Hampton Jitney stop is few blocks away! Linens, towels, dishes, small pots/pans, beverages, and coffee provided.
What makes this space unique and special is the artwork and overall cheerful feeling. It also has a nice deck, and wood floors throughout.
We are on a main road just a few minutes to the historic village of Orient where there is a post office, and wonderful country store. .The Hampton Jitney bus stop is just a few blocks away near Village Lane. The local bus (S92) will stop right near the house if you opt to take the local bus but the timing is not reliable. There are beaches within blocks, and the general store with fresh baked items and sandwiches as well as milk, juice, fruit, etc. We also have Latham's farm stand east of the causeway. Orient state park is just about a 3 minute drive from the apt. and there are other beaches just blocks away! Lovely beautiful area!
  • Suzette’s very private cottage is the perfect spot for a restful getaway. It’s convenient to everything that makes for a wonderful North Fork vacation — beaches, boating, wineries, restaurants, farm stands — and the cottage is within walking distance to the quaint, historic village of Orient.

    Linda2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Suzette's place was lovely on all accounts - incredible location, amenities, decor, and small touches such as soaps, flowers, and coffee/tea, and so forth. The town of Orient, on the North Fork is gorgeous. Suzette provides a beach pass to Truman Beach, which is quiet and peaceful and stunning during sunsets! Suzette was responsive on a daily basis and offered great recommendations for wineries and restaurants, etc. We would come back anytime.

    Cori2018-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Suzette’s home was a real treat. BBQ-ing in the yard, short bike rides to the local beach, waking up to the sound of birds - the Northfork and Suzette’s home is a perfect respite. Have only been back one day and I miss it already.

Nestled steps from the beach, and all that Greenport and the North Fork has to offer, this exquisitely charming 3 bedroom 2 bathroom waterfront home is absolutely delightful.. You’ll love my place because of the views, the location, the people, the ambiance, the outdoors space, and the Saltwater pool.. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), big groups, and furry friends (pets).
We are steps to the greenport boardwalk, we are on the water with stunning views of the bay, and we have a refreshing, and also heated saltwater pool.
Greenport is known for its tourism during the summer. It has a locally famous 1920s carousel, located near the waterfront. The village is also the home of the East End Seaport Museum & Marine Foundation, which hosts the annual Maritime Festival each September. The museum is housed in the former station house of the Greenport Long Island Rail Road station, while the East end of the Railroad Museum of Long Island is located in the former freight house. The new station is the terminus of the Long Island Rail Road. Most of the tourism stems from maritime activities, as well as proximity to the more than 40 vineyards on the East End of Long Island. It has many small shops and boutiques, ice cream parlors, bed-and-breakfasts, and restaurants ranging from fine-dining to paper-napkin crab shacks. Greenport proves to be the hub of the North Fork foodie culture with many acclaimed restaurants. Lucharito's, Noah's, The Frisky Oyster, The Blue Canoe and First and South all rank among new and acclaimed restaurants on the North Fork in the village. It is also the home of the Greenport Farmers' Market, the only multi-vendor cooperative local market on the North Fork. Greenport is also home to Andy's, Claudio's Restaurant, Clam Bar and Crabby Jerry's, all three are located on the water and serve less upscale food. Claudio's Restaurant believes themselves to be the oldest single family-owned restaurant in the United States.
  • 1st time in staying for the weekend in Greenport.... Location is great and with in walking distance of everything in Greenport. Host was very accommodating and the place was clean.

    Junior2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Joshua’s place is in the perfect location - very near to the cafes and bars also right across the street from the water. Apart from the construction next door, we had a lovely weekend in Greenport. Be mindful that this is a quiet little neighborhood and not the ideal place for people who are a bit younger as you will disturb the neighbors. Outside of the neighborhood, Greenport is a great town with many cute restaurants and bars.

    Jake2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second time staying with Joshua and we had a wonderful time. With a family of 4, the house is amazing but the back yard pool can’t be beat. The fact that main part of town is a 2 minute walk to all the amazing restaurants also makes for such a relaxing trip. Joshua was on site as well in the apartment below if we ever needed help with anything. Again an amazing summer vacation. We will definitely be back a 3rd time.

    Jennifer2019-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • This is our second time at Joshua’s house. It is a great size and the back yard is stunning. Joshua is very responsive and will help with what ever you need. We hope to come back next year!

    Amanda2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • This house is so cute and in a great location, close to everything in Greenport! We came for my sisters bachelorette party to go to the vineyards and it worked out great. The host did stay in the basement, which would have been nice to know beforehand. The description states that they may be in and out of the basement for legal reasons but we didn’t know they were actually staying there the whole time. Otherwise, the space is amazing and good for groups!

    Nicole2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • The house was perfect! Super clean, great beds, the backyard and pool were fantastic and it was steps away from the ferry!

    Janine2019-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely home, immaculate, scenic, so close to town, beautiful yard and pool..very special!

    Ellen2019-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful vacation in Greenport. Josh and Tamara live on the grounds and were immediately responsive to all of our needs. They kept the pool sparkling clean and the flowers and trees well manicured. They had a beautiful welcome basket for our arrival and the house was well stocked and immaculate. The location is absolutely perfect and within a short walk to everything in Greenport. Really loved everything!

The room was very tidy and comfortable, as was her whole house, with beautiful views of the water and many cozy spots to sit and relax. We hope to stay with her again next time we visit!

The house was quiet. Pat was helpful and easy to communicate with. The house was pretty and in a great little town. Perfect weekend accommodations.

Apartment is fabulous, very clean and well equipped for cooking too!! Bedroom light airy, with a "drop off to sleep" bed. Apartment much larger than photos show too. It is very quiet, we were out here in February, I truly recommend this time of year out on The North Fork of Long Island. The Entire Home has an Olde World feel, with much Character, and integrity. We truly Loved being here. I wholeheartedly recommend this Rental!!. My partner and I began recording our newest CD here. I lovely peace and quiet. The Locals are friendly and helpful. Great shoppes to wander about in. Fabulous Pubs, music scene, and Restaurants as well. • I stayed in the off-season, so my comments may be different from other guests. The apartment on the top floor is perfect for two people. Quiet street, easy parking, within walking distance of all the shops, restaurants, and services of the Village of Greenport. Joey and his co-hosts have taken an old, quirky house and provided everything needed for a great short stay—kitchen supplies, strong wifi, comfortable seating, and simple check-in/check-out.

  • Great place. Couldn’t get a better location for wine tasting, water, exploring the Hamptons and Shelter Island. Greenport also very cute town. Only 1 actual proper bed. The website showed that there was 2 proper beds, but there is really only 1 queen/full bed and 1 pull-out.

    Robyn2019-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • I highly recommend this cute hidden gem. Super close to downtown, you can walk basically anywhere in Greenport! Joey was a great host and was super quick to answer any questions I had about the apartment. I cannot recommend this place enough.

  • My husband and I just returned from a GREAT weekend in Greenport and loved staying at Pants Place! The house was spotless, had everything you would need, and was in the perfect location. We were able to walk to everywhere we wanted to go in town, and it didn't hurt that Greenport Harbor Brewery was about 100 ft away from the house! So convenient! Each night we walked to dinner, had a couple drinks, and walked home. No need to drive or look for parking when going out. Since it is November, we had no trouble parking on the street right outside the house, I'm not sure if it's different in the peak summertime, but no complaints from us! We also reached out to ask Joey for a recommendation in town and he was super quick to respond and very happy to do so. I would definitely recommend Pants Place to anyone looking to explore Greenport!

  • We had a fabulous stay at Joey’s. We are originally from N.Y. But now live in MA. So going down to the Island for family events can be difficult. We went down to Greenpoint this past Saturday for our niece’s wedding. We had never stayed at an Air B&B before. Well, it was fantastic to have a lot of space to ourselves! The apartment is extremely clean. The beds are extremely comfortable. My daughter said “mom, you like that bed too much”! Hey, who doesn’t love a comfy bed after a wedding? The LOCATION cannot be beat. We were within walking distance to everything. Overall, it was a great experience and thank you Joey for allowing us to check out a bit later.

  • This house is a special place that you can tell was created out of love and provides a unique, intimate North Fork experience to those who visit. The rooms are beautiful and the bar/restaurant allows for those staying and stopping in to enjoy local bites and avante-garde cocktails. Everyone on staff was fantastic. We had a great time visiting and will definitely be returning soon!

  • We loved it! The room was cute and the bed was amazingly comfortable. Tall ceilings, cute “fireplace,” nice balcony, no complaints. The bar downstairs was awesome, with some of the best drinks we’ve had in a while. Overall it was a good value for the price we paid (less than $200/night for the off season). It’s only a 20 min walk or so from the center of Greenport, with sidewalks the whole way. Would stay again at a similar price point!

  • The Lin Beach House is a great place to stay! Conveniently located on the North Fork, the place is cool and the room was spacious. We had a great time visiting wineries and exploring the area. Leslie was communicative and friendly, and checkin was a breeze. We especially enjoyed drinking cocktails downstairs. Would recommend!

  • A second story apartment a couple of blocks away from Main Rd in Greenport. Check in and check out instructions were easy to follow. The apartment was very clean and welcoming, with a guest book and local information. Loved the idea to have a small stock of beer which is replenished by guests so there is a nice selection.

  • The home was quite quaint and perfect for our weekend in Greenport. It was an easy walk to Main Street or the Shelter Island ferry. It was an easy drive to many of the wineries. The closest winery, Kontokosta, is a 5 minute drive away and has beautiful grounds to walk on and sip some wine. The description was exactly what I expected and the host left a binder with instructions and tips for our visit. I wish I would have had the chance to sit on the front porch but maybe on the next visit!
