  • This place is great for large groups. Communication with Conleth was always open in the time leading up to and even post our stay. We had a minor issue upon check in with the power that was resolved instantly via a quick phone call to Conleth. In terms of location this was ideal for what we were after. The house is located in a relatively remote area where we could switch off, that being said it was great to have Kilkeel a couple of minutes drive away as well as a local shop just minutes walk from the house. Would definitely recommend to anyone, especially large groups looking for a break from the city.

  • We stayed one night in Conleth's beautiful house, a group of around 12 of us. The location is absolutely beautiful, the scenery surrounding the house is breathtaking. The house itself was perfect for what we needed. Each room was a very spacious double room, with an extra double bed provided in the upstairs area. The kitchen had everything you need to cook a large meal, the oven, fridge etc.. all in great working order. The 2 sitting rooms are large and comfortable, and the open fires make the rooms very cosy. Conleth himself is very helpful and available at all times. He made the stay very relaxed and the check in/out process very simple. We are already planning our next visit to this house, as everybody had such a great stay.

  • Beautiful, very roomy, very clean and excellently appointed large house in a really picturesque setting. Lovely & cosy and warm. Great sized bedrooms all with very comfortable double beds. Facilities were excellent and Conleth as a host couldn't have been better. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are planning to return again next year. Can't recommend this place highly enough - 5 Stars all round!

  • Conleth's home is picture perfect and in such a serene and beautiful location. There are cows and sheep on the other side of the wall just outside the home. His brother was readily available and answered all our questions. I highly recommend this Airbnb home.

  • Beautiful house in an amazing location, thoroughly enjoyed our short stay (only one night) but hope to return again in the future.

  • We had a wonderful stay at Conleth’s home. Out of the four homes we stayed at in Ireland, this was by far our favorite. It was a massive home with plenty of bedrooms to choose from and had a lovely seating area with panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. Appliances were modern and worked well and the home was warm and cozy. We enjoyed watching the sheep and cows graze from our windows and enjoyed the privacy of the area. The location was terrific - close to town and close to a beautiful national park. We never ran out of things to do! Conleth was terrific in response time if we had questions. We also met his brother in law who was tending to the animals and he was a pleasure to talk to! I highly recommend staying at his home, you won’t regret it!!!

Two bedrooms accommodating 6 people above a quaint popular cafe in the centre of Carlingford. The rate (from €40) quoted is per person per night based on 3 or more sharing and including breakfast in the cafe. We are located directly beside Carlingford’s Main Street, Restaurants, pubs and family-friendly activities are all within walking distance of the B&B. The accommodation is most suitable for groups and families with older children as the rooms are on the second floor.
The two rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated. Room 1 has a double and single bed and room 2 has 3 single beds. There is a bathroom with a toilet and shower on this floor and a separate toilet on the second floor, there are also hand basins in both bedrooms.
The street is a picturesque pedestrian only street in the heart of the village. It is mostly peaceful but can be noisy on a Saturday night for a period after pubs have shut. There is a vibrant night life scene in Carlingford at the weekends. There is a wide variety of pubs and restaurants suiting all tastes. There are two chip shops and a Chinese take away in the village. Guests are welcome to eat take away food in the small dining room on the first floor.
  • Lovely comfortable no fuss accommodation right in the heart of Carlingford. Great complimentary breakfast in cafe too. We were attending a wedding in the Four Seasons Carlingford, 4-5min walk from Stephen’s place so it suited us perfectly. Will stay there again when in Carlingford.

    Sean2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • The Liberty Café B&B suited us very well for our recent 5 night stay. The space was very large for just the two of us; there were beds enough for 5! Stephen, Donna, and all the staff were terrific — warm and hospitable. We loved being able to explore Carlingford from right in the midst of the shops and pubs. Breakfast in the café was a real treat every day.

    Brenda2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • me and my family had a great one night stay at the weekend. The location is perfect right central of town. The rooms were clean, easy to access and comfortable. As you would expect with Carlingford, from the front room you could get a bit of noise, but with earplugs it was no issue. Like I say though, it's to be expected with the location & the nightlife that comes along with it! Stephen was great with communication before, throughout and after our stay. Would highly recommend staying here!

    Sophia2020-01-26T00:00:00Z

  • A cracking wee treehouse that ideally would have been amazing but our booking was at the beginning of the Covid19 scare and it kind of put a dampener on it. But we will definitely return. Lively hosts with great contact. Thank you.

  • The treehouse is a lovely little getaway in beautiful surroundings. We stayed in February so it was cold outside but very cosy in the treehouse. We made use of the kitchen facilities to make dinner and it was lovely to sit and eat at the window looking out on the trees and countryside. My little daughter just loved the novelty of staying in a treehouse, and so did I! Padraig and Eileen were very helpful, friendly and welcoming. The nearby Templetown beach was beautiful and deserted. I heard the pub down the road does nice food, but in winter this is only on weekends. Also Barry's shop does great ice cream in spring/ summer. There is also wifi and tv in the treehouse should you need them. We will definitely be back to stay! Thank you!

    Zoe2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • The treehouse was perfect. Padraig and his family were so lovely, warm and accommodating. The treehouse itself was cosy and warmed up quickly. Beautiful views from it in the morning 😊 Padraig gave us a jar of honey from his bees. Will definitely return!

It has towels, sheets and comforters. Undoubtedly an incredible experience and recommended to anyone who has the opportunity to venture to know a little more about Ireland.

Tom's Cabin is a cosy, luxury log cabin located on the side of Slieve Foy, only a mile from the medieval village of Carlingford and all its bars and restaurants. From the cabin there are spectacular views of Carlingford Lough, the Mourne Mountains and the Irish Sea. The cabin is next to our house but completely private. It is centrally heated and finished to a high standard with all you need to enjoy a peaceful, relaxing stay in a picturesque setting.
  • We stayed in toms cabin for 2 nights. The place was absolutely amazing. There just so happened to be a storm this weekend but the cabin was still really toasty and cozy. The place is really private and a lovely break from city living! What made it extra special was the spectacular view and the thoughtful breakfast treats and drinks left for us by mark and niki! Would definitely return.

  • Toms cabin was the perfect spot to wind down our busy trip throughout Ireland . The personal touches made this stay remarkable . Toms hospitality far exceeded previous experiences with air b & b . The area provided the best seafood dining we have had . The scenery speaks for itself and we didn’t want to leave . The cabin itself provided all necessary accommodations and supplies . Very warm and Cosy and immaculately clean .

  • Cannot recommend this place highly enough. The most perfect cabin in the most beautiful setting, finished to such a high spec, really breathtaking views of the changing lough, mists rolling in, such peace and tranquility, quintessential dramatic Irish scenery. The cabin is clean and very comfortable, equipped with a cosy, relaxing seating area. We ate outside, listened to music on the speaker, practised yoga on the decking and my partner could even catch Match Of The Day on the Sky TV. Mark and Niki could not have been more accommodating, the most welcoming and gorgeous hosts. No words, just go.

    Ruth2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • I travelled to Carlingford by public transport, Mark kindly collected me. On arrival I was presented with the most amazing place, views and a spotless place with everything one would need. Plus a bottle of wine and some food. I don’t like telling anyone how good this place is, as I want to go back. The quality of the cabin is first class.

  • I really enjoyed my weekend stay in Tom's cabin. Such a peaceful little spot. Some very thoughtful touches....chocolate biscuits, soda bread and wine :) Mark and Nikki were especially helpful and kind. Nikki dropped us off by car to the start point of a walk which was really sweet of her. I would recommend a stay here without hesitation.

  • We spent one night with our 1.5 year old son in this beautiful landscape. We were greeted very friendly by the family. Our son had a lot of fun with the dear, calm and old dog, the ponies, the pigs, chickens and the two daughters of the family. The room was very large and comfortably furnished. Some toys for younger and older children were an added plus. Everything was very clean. Directly behind the house you could walk between sheep in the mountains. • This is a really lovely area- near Carlingford Lough and some of the prettiest scenery we saw in our week in Ireland. We would have loved to stay longer to enjoy the area more. We really enjoyed the hospitality and kindness of this family and appreciated the spacious and private upstairs suite in their lovely home. Very welcoming and beautiful location!

  • Would totally recommend Lloyd's place for families. A really friendly, welcoming family and such a relaxing place to stay. The kids had a brilliant time and didn't want to leave, if they weren't playing with the animals they were out walking with Lloyd's two girls. Thanks for a lovely stay.

  • Great hosts. Lovely family. Funny kids. Friendly dog. Everybody was very helpful... The location in the mountains is stunning... Would highly recommend...

  • Absolutely amazing and so much better than we could have hoped. The view is stunning and the family is very warm and welcomming. They gave us good advice to were we could have a lovely dinner, and what to see in Carlingford. In the morning we had a good cup of coffee and the best Irish breakfast there is. The room was big with a good view. We had our own private bathroom which was very clean. The next morning we went for a 3 hour walk, the trail starts at the accomodation. Lloyd is a very good guide! The hike took our breath away. This is a place were we regret we didn’t book more nights. Thank you so much for making our stay so comfortable. You are very kind people, we loved it.

  • We had a fantastic stay in Inge and Micheál's beautiful farmhouse on our cycle tour around Carlingford Lough. Inge and Micheál were incredibly welcoming, and their house conveniently located nearby the Carlingford ferry. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area, whether it is Carlingford Lough or the Mourne Mountains.

  • Beautiful cottage, perfect for a quiet weekend away. The bedroom especially was so pretty, with a view out towards the hills through the glass doors. Will have to return in summer to try out the balcony. Perfect location for the pubs in town, but we couldn’t wait to get back, light the fire & cosy up on the sofa. Everything we needed for a relaxing break. Thanks to the host for swift communication & a lovely house.

    Claire2020-03-08T00:00:00Z

  • Very nice little place, when we arrived it was just like the photos although it was a little cold and didn't really keep the heat in, we had problems with one if the radiators but was okay we just kept the fire lighting, all the people in the town were very friendly as well. Would definitely recommend, but there were a few daddy long legs but they were just chilling. Thank you

  • Many thanks to Una & Declan (and JoJo the pup) for a fantastic stay at Glenshee Cottage. Location of this cottage is fantastic and only a couple minutes drive or a few minutes walk from the town. Whilst the details of the property were very accurate there was much more than we expected. Very well furnished throughout. Una had checked our arrival time and had a very welcome fired up wood burner waiting for us. Also milk in fridge and some healthy fruity snacks. The property was spotless throughout and the accessories etc. in kitchen were far more than we required but great to have. Glenshee Cottage is pet friendly and we had our pup with us who had a ball. As for DVD choice - this was superb! Glenshee Cottage was a home from home - warm, inviting, welcoming, cosy and relaxing. We will definitely be back.

  • Cottage is in a beautiful location with views over the mountains which is amazing! Cottage is located 2 minutes drive from Carlingford centre/ town or around a 8/10minute walk which is very handy! Cottage is lovely, the wood burner fire makes it feel very cosy and there is a lovely amount of space to in the cottage. Una was fantastic and offered us a lift to town and also popped round to give matchsticks when we had ran out, which was very much appreciated. Our dog paddy also loved the stay as much as us and we throughly enjoyed our 2 night stay and the walks around Carlingford. Would recommend “fishy dishy” restaurant! Would love to come and stay in the warmer months!

    Holly2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Una's place was very cozy and tastefully decorated. Basic staples for cooking, and tea and coffee were provided, which was much appreciated. Nice quiet location and an easy ten minute walk into the village center. We very much enjoyed our stay!

    Michael2020-02-02T00:00:00Z

  • Helen is a wonderful host! Her home is beautiful and it's a great location for exploring the Mourne mountains. She also makes an amazing breakfast! I would highly recommend staying at Fielys Brae.

    Joni2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • Fielys Brae sits in a beautiful country location with spectacular views of the Mourne mountains. Helen was a fantastic host and we enjoyed our chat after breakfast! Breakfast was delicious and we slept really well in the comfortable bed. We'll definitely be back!

    Paula2019-12-05T00:00:00Z
  • Incredible value at this place. I would recommend Helens spot to anyone who wants to stay in the heart of the beautiful Mourne Mountains. The view alone is lovely, and my room was cozy and spacious and I was welcomed with a pot of tea. Added bonus was the traditional full Irish Breakfast—seriously a treat! Helen will answer any advice on what to do in the area depending on what interests you! Great hospitality, and a genuine bed and breakfast experience. Stay at Helen’s place and you’re in for a treat.

    Ashley2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Helens hospitality was warm and great. Everything was taken care of; from tea and sweet bread upon arrival, to valuable hiking suggestions and an early breakfast. When in the Mourne Mountains: stay with Helen!

    Karen2019-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had a heartly weloming at Helens house and felt very lucky with this overwhelming stay: the house and the rooms are great, comfortable and with the best view directly to all the mountains around. We relaxed totally, slept really well, had a wonderful breakfast and enjoyed every minute of our stay! Totally recommendet! 5 stars

  • Great place to stay in a great locationfor the Mournes

    Sarah2019-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Three of us stayed for 2 nights at Helen's wonderful B&B. Helen is a fantastic host and great fun! She worked hard to ensure we had a great time despite some inclement weather, everything from having a beer beside the fire outside to the cakes and crisps in the common area. Helen was a great guide and gave us lots of encouragement when we were heading out walking in the mountains. We will certainly miss waking up to both the beautiful scenery in the Mourne mountains, and definitely Helen's excellent breakfasts! Thank you so much for making sure our break in the Mournes was more than we expected :-) If you are travelling to this part of the country, I can only advise you to stop in for a few night's in Helen's B&B among the mountains, it will refresh and reinvigorate you!

  • Fantastic old farmhouse right on the lough with spectacular views! Ashley has really made this a home away from home. The house is fully stocked, spotlessly clean in a quiet area surrounded by amazing views of the lough on one side and the mountains the other!

  • This place is perfect location. House has everything you could ask for and they thought of absolutely everything one would need. The amazing basket that welcomed us was a special touch. Ashley was quick to respond and extremely helpful. I definitely want to stay here again!!

  • Ashley was one of the best hosts I ever had on AirBNB - the house was really big, spotless clean, and located right on the seaside. Very welcoming and accommodating as well as excellent communication. Thank you!

  • Wonderful house in a lovely quiet location

    Simon2020-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • This home is immaculate in every sense. It’s homey and comfortable without feeling like you’re invading someone’s personal space. Lots of extra special touches like a welcome basket of snacks and drinks, lovely towels, and entertainment made us feel right at home. We were a little chilly during our stay, presumably because the house is right on the seaside and is older (therefore not very energy efficient) so make sure to bring extra warm clothing during the winter months! Ashley was very quick to communicate and answer any questions or concerns. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend to friends.

    Valerie2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • Seascape has a great peaceful location for a family getaway. The road out the front is very quiet, meaning it was nice to walk along with young children and the dog. The beach is close with lots of sea birds and seals, and there's lovely hills and other beaches within driving distance. The house itself is spacious and welcoming. We found there was everything we needed to cook big meals and then sit around a fire in the evening. We couldn't think of anything else we would have needed. We will hopefully be back again soon.

    Melissa2020-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • The boat house was SO CUTE! It was perfectly decorated for being on the water and it was sparkling clean. Violetmarie went out of her way to give us local recommendations and let us know that there was an Irish band playing in town that night, which was a nice touch. The only complaint I have was that the washer was broken and we desperately needed to do laundry from our travels. However, she was very kind and apologetic about the washer and let us know it was just missing a part. Other than that, it was great!

  • We only had one nights stay in this beautiful home but that was enough to ensure we'll be returning in the future. An absolutely fabulous home, beautiful location and great host in Edward. The room we stayed in was ample in size and perfectly suited to our stay; comfortable, clean and cosy. The access in and out through the raised balcony was a delight and provided a special view into the back garden and the stream at the bottom. Edward was a real pleasure to meet and very helpful with tips for food and drinks. An absolute gem in the beautifil village of Rostrevor. We will most certainly be back as it's a perfect break away and close by. We highly recommend to any kind of travellers.

  • Beautiful location, building, decor and welcome. Clean, bright, warm and Central to town, bike paths and hikes. Our host was great, there to welcome us with a chat and tips on where to eat and what to see.

  • Edward has paid attention to every detail in this stay. Great location and a beautiful house and private apartment. Parking is a bit tight, but what else is new in Ireland!

  • Lovely house, good location to enjoy Rostrevor or just simply to explore the surroundings! Edward was very kind and very helpful, he provided a travel cot for our little one!

  • A wonderful stay in Edward's AirBnB, the photos don't really do this place any justice, it's very peaceful. A fabulous restored Georgian house (1820's). An attentive host and a very special location on the River in the beautiful village of Rostrevor Co. Down. A hidden gem. My wife and I use AirBnB regularly, but Edward's place is very special, highly recommended.

Cosy old Irish cottage; situated in the northeast corner of County Louth, midway between Belfast and Dublin. In the heart of an area of outstanding natural beauty, with many fascinating historic sites to visit. Close to the seaside village Carlingford which is renowned for its array of restaurants, bars and activities. The cottage itself sits at the foot of Sliabh Foy Mountain; surrounded by wildflower fields, a river, a small fruit tree orchard and in Springtime an abundance of wild garlic.
Entire cottage available for bookings. One double bedroom with a walk in wardrobe area where hangers and drawers are available. There is also a small pull out futon bed at the bottom of the double bed, that could fit up to 2 small children. But does stop the bedroom door from opening fully when used as a bed! A comfortable living area with a double sofa bed and another sofa. A large selection of CDs, DVDs and books along with CD player and radio. There is also a wood burning stove, with fire wood available to burn. The kitchen has a table for four, an oven, microwave, fridge, washing machine and sink utilities. In the kitchen there is also a book swap for you to take and leave a book for other guests to read. Fresh coffee will always be available to use in the espresso pot or filter machine. There will also be bottled water for guests to drink as the tap water is not drinkable. The bathroom is rather small. It has a toilet, a shower and there will always be some toiletries available with a fesh set of towels per guest. There is quite a lot of room around the cottage with a BBQ available (if there isnt charcoal in the shed, just ask!) and a seating area to lounge out in the sun, when the sun does make an appearance. Or take your morning coffee or glass of wine out and just enjoy the scenery!
Whether you are looking for a lively weekend or a quieter mid-week break, Carlingford can offer the individual visitor, families, friends and groups, small and large, a memorable and lasting experience. The region boasts great activities, trips, restaurants and wonderful tales… Carlingford Lough really has lots to offer. Take your first step through 5000 years of wonder..
  • Lovely cottage. Very homely with wood burning stove. Highly recommend!

  • Seamus' cottage is idyllically situated and surrounded by nature. The double bed is comfortable and there is a sofa bed in the living area. The small folding bed in the bedroom is suitable for children or smaller people (with us someone slept on it with 1.65cm and had no problems). We only spent one night in the cottage in transit, but I think you can spend wonderful days there.

Peaceful retreat in the Irish countryside situated in an area of outstanding beauty. The perfect place to get away from it all. This much loved family holiday home is situated within easy reach of both Dublin and Belfast and with easy access to the famous Mourne mountains. The property is located just a few short kilometres from the historic medieval village of Carlingford, a “European destination of excellence”, well known for its traditional pubs and seafood restaurants.
The house is set in an acre of land so plenty of space for kids to run around. There are plenty of walks for those who like walking. The Molly Loop and Rooskey Loop walks are only 100 yards from the front garden. Shelling Hill beach is also just a couple of km away. There are lots of outdoor pursuits, Carlingford Adventure centre Sky-park, with its high ropes, zip wires and other activities is 2 minutes drive away. In Carlingford itself the Lough offers a wide range of watersports for all ages.
The house is situated on a country road nestled into the mountain. It has lots of space around it and fantastic views of the countryside and sea from the house. It’s a perfect getaway but with easy access to Carlingford with its traditional pubs, restaurants and activities / a fantastic holiday home for all the family.
  • We had a great stay at Cooley house. The location was great- not far from Carlingford and the beach. The kids loved the large garden for running around. Also lots of games, dvds and books indoors for relaxing. There are lovely views from the house and garden. Great few days relaxing in this picturesque location.

  • We had an absolutely brilliant time for the duration of our stay in Orla's house. The beach, the sky park, the leprechaun tour, Carlingford town centre, the greenway path and the marina are all a short spin from the house. Orla's house is a pure treasure, the views are amazing and the house itself was very homely with lots of DVDs and games for the kids. We all immensely enjoyed our stay and would love to get back there in the near future. Orla also left a little hamper for us on arrival. A great host, great house and great location. Thanks again Orla

A traditional Irish cottage right on the seashore. You can't get closer to the sea than this! Situated in Whitestown about 5km from the busy village of Carlingford with shops, traditional Irish music pubs and choice of excellent restaurants and activities. Inside has a newly renovated interior, wood burning stove and is snug all year round with central heating. Fall asleep to the sound of the waves, explore the beach every day, walk the coastline, and drop into the infamous Lily Finnegans Pub.
You have complete privacy with the cottage set back behind electric gates. There is a gravel yard at the property, providing plenty of space for parking. To the rear is a large garden, set in lawn with mature trees and shrubs providing privacy. Two bedrooms sleeping 6 - it is comfortably furnished and has a well equipped open kitchen/living area. TV. Radio. Fridge/freezer. Washing machine in kitchen. Duvets. It is an ideal place to unwind, take in the stunning views and breathe in the fresh Irish Sea breeze.
Whitestown is a small townland on the Cooley Peninsula in Co Louth with clusters of traditional cottages. It got a lot of attention in 2017 when Joe Biden came to visit the home of his great-great grandfather. The village of Greenore is a short drive away, home to top class golf links Greenore Golf Club and the Carlingford Scenic Ferry. Carlingford is just 5km away. A car journey to Dundalk takes 20 mins, Dublin is an hour away, and Belfast is just over an hour's drive.
