Seppeltsfield was established in the Barossa Valley by Joseph and Johanna Seppelt just 15 years after the European settlement of South Australia. Steeped in rich Barossan heritage, the estate is considered a true national treasure which helped shape the history of the Australian wine industry. Seppeltsfield is most famed for the Centennial Collection - an irreplaceable and unbroken lineage of Tawny of every vintage from 1878 to current year. The estate remains the only winery in the world to release a 100-year-oldngle vintage wine each year. The estate also boasts a remarkable collection of Apera (Australian Sherry), crossing Fino to Oloroso styles, all held in vast Solero nursery cellars. Seppeltsfield is a marriage of Barossan history, community and fine winemaking endeavour. A new golden era now sees art and design (through JamFactory studios), gastronomic excellence (through FINO restaurant) and beauty (through Vasse Virgin) contribute to an exciting renaissance of Australia’s iconic wine estate.

  • This home is Devine! Perfect location & luxury, great set up, spacious layout for family of 6, loved the breakfast & wine you provided & all the natural exotic extras such as local soaps, Barossa Valley hand lotions, shampoos etc, a very friendly host, thoroughly enjoyed our stay & highly recommend.

  • Belinda and Peter's, the Nest, was absolutely beautiful. We stayed here for the weekend of our wedding (and all the groomsmen stayed the night before). They went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed from extra towels, soap, pillows, etc. Excellent communication in the lead up and the property is immaculately maintained. The personal touches were just lovely. We will be back :) - Maddy and Jaryd

    Madelaine2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • We can highly recommend The Nest to anyone. We found it extremely comfortable & felt very much at home as soon as we arrived. Belinda & Peter are wonderful hosts & went out of their way to ensure we well looked after.

    Danuta2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Our family of 4 adults had a lovely stay at The Nest which provided all the little touches you could ever want. We arrived on a freezing afternoon to a roaring fire, lamps on throughout the house and a bottle of wine, port, coffee, tea and fresh 'home laid eggs'. The Nest is styled beautifully and has a great bbq, stunning gardens, a well appointed kitchen and laundry. We cooked a lovely meal as there were all the basics to make a homey meal. We also visited the local pub as it is a tiny stroll away and a must do whilst in sweet Greenock. This is a handy central location for checking out the Barossa Valley. We highly recommend this fabulous airbnb.

  • Peter & Belinda’s Nest in Greenock was a beautiful place to spend the weekend. The house has been thoughtfully appointed with nice amenities. We particularly enjoyed the home laid eggs and cheese that was left for us. The beds were all very comfortable and the house was very clean and well looked after. Peter gave us a warm welcome and a great introduction to the house and surrounding area.

  • We had a beautiful stay in Tanunda. Tracy’s home is a short walk to the main part of town. The home was beautiful and such a nice space to be in. The fresh bread, milk and eggs was such a thoughtful touch and we really appreciated it. We would love to come back soon.

    Tess2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Great clean, modern apartment, great value for money and in a convenient location. Tracy was easy to communicate with and we really enjoyed the little touches of bread and eggs on arrival. Would definitely recommend this place for anyone exploring the Barossa.

    Kirby2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful sparkling clean, modern apartment right behind the Main Street in Tanunda and close to all amenities. There is a great information centre nearby so we booked a winery tour from our front door. Brilliant place.

    Patricia2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • The place was lovely and clean and rather spacious. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the high quality linen made it a hotel style experience. The extra inclusions of high quality local produce and stylish kitchen made it easy to stay in at times to cook and eat. The extra considerations toward organic and green products through out the place added to the well thought out hospitality this host provided. Easy walking distance to local places but the off street parking is reassuring towards the want to hire a car to really experience the wonderful places to visit in nearby areas. Perfect place to stay for a food and wine lover.

    Liam2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Immaculate home, perfect for a weekend away. Beautiful touches like milk, eggs and bread. Will definitely be re booking again as it felt so cozy!

The main suite boasts an ensuite with rain shower & deep freestanding bath. The stunning, 3 bedroom self-contained boutique accommodation offers you the perfect base to spoil yourself, whether you venture out and immerse yourself in Barossan life, or stay in and indulge in a restful break.
Sparkling Inground Magnesium Pool for your private use with alfresco deck. Huge front deck with parkland views. Guests receive a complimentary bottle of Barossa Wine on arrival. The pantry will be laden with an array of artisan-made, Barossa breakfast provisions, delicious local produce to prepare a platter at your leisure and locally made fudge. Beautiful guest toiletries by Aromatherapy Co. are supplied. One night stays and last minute bookings may be available on request. Contact Janine on 0438 821 664 for rate and availability.
The Clyde is perfectly situated for you to explore the charming village of Greenock itself – with 5 cellar doors, micro-brewery, tavern, unique shopping and the renowned El Estanco Café, all within a leisurely stroll.
  • A stylish and comfortable house ideally situated for exploring the Barossa and Clare Valleys. The hosts have taken a great deal of trouble in providing quality furnishings and equipment and have also been unusually generous in stocking it with provisions. The air-conditioning coped well with widely varying temperatures during our month long stay whilst the large TV screen with Netflix was a pleasant bonus. The only slight negative might be that light sleepers could find intrusive the noise from the surprisingly busy road in front of the house particularly in the master bedroom. However we would certainly hope to return to this house when making future trips to the region.

    Michael2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Words cannot express what an incredible stay our family just had at The Clyde for a week over Christmas! The house was absolutely beautiful, including a lovely pool that we enjoyed with our kids every day, and we also fell in love with town of Greenock. Janine thought of every little touch to make our stay special, including holiday decorations, incredible amenities, and delicious treats to enjoy during our stay. We explored local wineries, restaurants and breweries by foot and spent a few days exploring the Barossa Valley, Adelaide Hills and Adelaide by car. Our stay at The Clyde was the highlight of our trip and we will be back!!

  • Everything you could ask for in a getaway, a stylish and beautiful home, extremely helpful and welcoming hosts, and the Barossa at your finger tips. Highly recommend you pick The Clyde for your next Barossa visit!!

A warm welcome from the picturesque and historic Barossa! an international attraction for the wineries, restaurants, scenic surroundings and Germanic culture with plenty to do and see. The house is located near major arterial roads for easy access, but is in a quiet cul-de-sac with quiet neighbours – no city noise! Looking forward to making your stay comfortable. I have three separate rooms available. The Chardonnay Room, The Cabernet Room and The Pinot Room. Each can accommodate two guests.
You have a clean and tidy bedroom that has a comfortable modern double bed, hanging space, drawers, small table and a recliner. You have your own air-conditioning for heating or cooling, as well as a ceiling fan. A key for your bedroom door assures you your belongings are secure. There are well thought out little touches that make your stay that bit more comfortable and easy. You are getting more than a private room. My home is organised to be very guest friendly. You can access the lounge, dining, kitchen and laundry area. The kitchen is a full kitchen with all you need, not just a 'kitchenette'. The bathroom is for guest use only and has a large vanity space, separate shower recess and separate toilet. The bathroom may need to be shared with other guests if the other rooms are booked. The kitchen is available for food storage (fridge and cupboard) and also cooking. Please let me show you how to use the appliances and stove. I supply tea / coffee / hot chocolate / water, and a light breakfast of fruit and cereal. The laundry has a washing machine and dryer for a fee, again please let me show you how to use these appliances.
The immediate neighbourhood consists of settled home owners. Most houses have high fencing in their backyards for privacy. It is a very quiet area and has respectful neighbours. A quaint country town, with no city noise means that your stay will be relaxing and restful. Nuriootpa is surrounded by vineyards and farms. At any time of the year there is a lot of green vegetation. Being part of the Barossa Valley means there are a number of small towns all with their own charm and interests. Nuriootpa is known as the business end of the Barossa and has a new shopping mall. We have Foodland and Foodworks available for all your grocery needs as well as Mitre 10, clothing, sports and homeware shops, also Aldi and Cheap as Chips. A number of cafes are located throughout the Barossa towns. We have two 24 hour food options with Hungry Jacks or the Big Grill located at Caltex on the highway. Every town has a local pub which will serve great meals. The Vine Inn is a popular spot being open from 7 a.m. for breakfast to 10 p.m. with a bistro or sports bar. There are also high end dining experiences that will tantalise you with their local produce and amazing cooking skills. Churches are also a common sight. Finally, not forgetting the many wineries whether it is a boutique family winery or major winery.
  • Perfectly located and very accessible Air BnB, very homey and comfortable. Monica is a great host and provides everything you will need for a great stay. The room was very clean and tidy and the communal areas fabulous too. Thanks!

At first glance, yes it's a shed. But explore further and you will find an unique Aussie experience, a fully functional self contained room. Shower, toilet and kitchenette. All private and seperate from our house. It's normally used for overnighters by family and friends. Please be open minded in your expectations, it's not the Ritz, Hilton, Taj Mahal but what it is clean, tidy, private affordable accomadation. Single or couple.
For the cost and facilities available here you won't find much better value. Its not the Taj Mahal but its clean tidy and compact. Queen bed. Designed for a couple or single person. Room is insulated with reverse split air conditioning. (ignore the old in wall aircon in photo)
Our residence is in a quiet street. We have lived at the same address for over 20yrs. We have a very safe neighbourhood and we have a good relationship with our neighbour's.
  • An easy and comfortable place to stay, just as advertised. Would be happy to return.

  • Quirky, comfortable place to stay. Reminiscent of the Crashpadder/Airbnb I used to know. Now sadly mostly ousted by the commercialism of current business. Excellent value for money, well located for exploring the Barossa wine region. If you don't want luxury, this place will suit you fine.

Set on 5 acres, Pondicherri is a small acreage landholding with a cluster of small buildings that exudes a village atmosphere. Its extensive views and rural amenity are enabled as it is surrounded by much larger farming land creating a rustic oasis yet is close to everything in the Barossa Valley. Some of the buildings are of historic interest and date back to 1845.
The Pondicherri Guest Suite 3 is a small compact contemporary room containing a double bed with an adjoining ensuite bathroom and private entry. It is perfect for the solo traveller or cosy couples. Best described as your private space to retreat after a day enjoying the Barossa Valley. For your entertainment, a smart TV with Chromecast (and Netflix) is available including free access to the NBN fixed wireless wifi network. The guest suite has reverse cycle A/C, fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle with basic tea and coffee provisions. We do supply a coffee plunger, freshly ground coffee and milk if required. And your walls are an art gallery too. The artworks are created by CC Herkes - emerging visual artists, creators of abstract photographic artworks in drone photography. All drone photography is taken in South Australia. In the warmer months, you do have access to a 12mx3.5m swimming pool with rural views. We invite our guests to enjoy the pool deck at any time. We also grow a selection of organic herbs and vegetables. Just ask us what’s growing and we would be delighted to pick fresh produce for you to enjoy during your stay with us. Suite 3 can be booked with Suite 2. Both Guest Suites can be booked together. It is what is on the inside that counts! We are slowly upgrading the grounds and expanding the organic produce gardens and upgrading the historic buildings but at the rate provided, you will be very comfortable and private.
We are only 5 minutes drive to the pretty historic village of Angaston that is well serviced with a varied selection of cafes, restaurants, 2 pubs, a supermarket, butcher, hardware, medical centre, post office, retail and and speciality Barossa food businesses. We are a 3 minute drive from the famed Barossa Valley Farmers Market that is open every Saturday morning. There are many high quality wineries, restaurants, food establishments and historic buildings to explore across the region. If food and wine are not your thing, there are numerous walking and cycling trails, some easy bushwalks including spotting kangaroos at Kaisersthul Conservation Park. Or you could go ballooning or a helicopter ride for the birds eye view! Just about everything except surfing! But we are about one hour's drive to the nearest South Australian coastline, only one+half hour's drive into city of Adelaide and a one hour drive to the Adelaide Hills area. There is so much to do and explore in this beautiful part of Australia. Welcome to Pondicherri - a little bit of peaceful relaxation in the Barossa.

Set on 5 acres, Pondicherri is a small acreage landholding with a group of small buildings and exudes a rustic village atmosphere. The Barn is one of those buildings. Its borrowed rural amenity and views are enabled as it is surrounded by much larger farming land, creating a quiet private oasis yet you are close to everything within the Barossa Valley. Some of the buildings are of historic interest and date back to 1845. The Barn is one of four buildings on the property.
The Barn is a single room building constructed with thick stone walls and exposed internal timber beams. The building is aged well over 100 years. We are not sure of its original use. The Barn originally had the tiny window on the south side and one door many a year ago! For those that do book, look out for the circular patterns on the walls near the bed! Today, the Barn is furnished with a very comfortable super-sized (mega) king bed - or can be separated into two king single beds - complete with natural fibre quality bed linens. You have access to a smart TV with Netflix and Chromecast to watch movies while you cozy up in bed and/or access the NBN fixed wireless network for all your modern communication needs. Or, should you need to work (and we hope you don’t), you can set yourself up on the drop leaf table or maybe, just stay in bed! An eclectic separate dressing area showcases a large gilded mirror, a French vintage secretaire containing a hairdryer, hot water bottle, umbrella alongside hanging racks with two white bathrobes, a stool, and a long bench to contain your luggage. Included is a fold-out ironing board and iron. A small kitchenette contains a kettle, microwave, toaster and fridge to ensure you have everything you need for a comfortable stay. There is no running water in the Barn, but we do provide a handmade 2-litre capacity ceramic water purifier system that removes virtually all contaminants including fluoride. The water purifier can be replenished with potable water from the Wash House with the stainless steel jug that are provided in the Barn. The north-facing deck is totally private and is a wonderful sunny spot to start your day. Later, you can sip your glass of Barossa wine with the occasional spotting of kangaroos in the paddocks. On a clear night, the Milky Way is stunning! Download a stargazing app and find the different constellations. Get your phone torch out and spotlight spider eyes that twinkle like diamonds in the paddocks. Buy some local yummy delicacies and your stay is very relaxing, peaceful and rejuvenating - especially for city folk - or so we are told by our guests! The lockable private shower room and separate toilet are a short walk from The Barn and are located in the Wash House that is semi-attached to the (circa 1845) historic original settlers building of mud/straw and stone. Take a step back in time and ‘walk the walk’ of the original Barossa settlers - but these wash facilities are modern-day! We grow a selection of organic herbs and vegetables. Just ask us what’s growing and we would be delighted to pick fresh produce for you to enjoy during your stay with us. In the warmer months, you will have access to a 12 x 3.5 metre swimming pool. It is a shared space enjoyed by us and all guests but mostly you will find you can enjoy the pool by yourself. It is what is on the inside that counts! We live on the property too and we are gradually upgrading the grounds but you will be very comfortable and importantly - very private. However, if you are older or maybe have the need for suburban indoor comforts and/or a frequent night toilet user- the Barn might not be for you! The Barn is a mix of old and new experiences. It shares the nuances of glamping but it’s neither a hotel room experience, a house nor apartment! You can even leave the ‘dunny’ door open complete with a view! If you think you can enjoy this type of experience, we warmly welcome you to book with us at Pondicherri and The Barn.
We are only 5 minutes drive to the pretty historic village of Angaston that is well serviced with a varied selection of cafes, numerous restaurants ranging from great takeaways/dine in options to fine dining, 2 pubs, a florist, a supermarket, butcher, hardware, medical centre, post office, speciality Barossa food businesses and some retail therapy. We are 5 minutes drive from the famed Barossa Valley Farmers Market that is open every Saturday morning. There are many high-quality wineries, restaurants, food establishments and historic buildings to explore across the region. If food and wine are not your thing, there are numerous walking and cycling trails, some easy bushwalks including spotting kangaroos at Kaisersthul Conservation Park. Or you could go ballooning or a helicopter ride for the birds eye view! Just about everything except surfing! We are only one hour's drive to the nearest South Australian coastline, only one+half hour's drive into city of Adelaide and a one hour drive to the Adelaide Hills area. There is so much to do and explore in this beautiful part of Australia.

  • Honestly amazing! Couldn’t recommend staying here more. Carolyn and William have thought of everything. So beautifully styled throughout and the location is just perfect. Carolyn also provided us with wonderful suggestions for dinner and breakfast that we are so glad to have tried. The perfect weekend in the Barossa made so by having such a wonderful place to come back to. Thanks so much again :-)

  • This was hands down the most beautiful Airbnb I have ever stayed at. The barn is incredible, the views amazing and Carolyn’s hospitality and recommendations for exploring the area were amazing. I’m counting the days until I can come back!

  • Carolyn and William were amazing hosts! The Barn was absolutely lovely and beautifully fitted out. The bed was very comfortable and the amenities were great. It was lovely to sit out on the private deck and look up at the stars. Despite the heatwave while we were staying, the Barn was very cool with AC and a fan. It was also great to have a dip in the pool. The bathroom is very close and no issue to get to. There were lots of brochures and guides in the room for guests and Carolyn kindly gave us some personal recommendations, all of which we loved! The location was great for getting around the Barossa. We were really impressed with the whole experience and will definitely be back the next time we come to the Barossa.

  • We stayed at the cabins with a family of 4. Our twins, aged 4.5 absolutely loved playing on the camp grounds. There’s animals, playground, and trampoline that entertains them while we can sit outside and enjoy the view. There’s also great amenities such as a public bbq and fire pit. Unfortunately, due to the fire ban the pit unusable, but I imagine it would be really lovely during the cooler months (especially the in-door fireplace). Cabin was clean, breakfast was a really lovely touch, location was amazing - 5 minutes away from Seppeltsfield winery and Fino restaurant. Definitely keeping this listing in my favourites to come back to.

  • Studio 57 is a self-sufficient aesthetically-pleasing spot. Had everything we needed. Pictures don’t do justice. Great location, so central for us to get around. Even walking distance if you’d like that too. We were celebrating a birthday and were pleasantly surprised with a bottle of wine and a birthday card upon arrival. Very sweet of Lindsay and Annemaree to go that extra mile. We booked a wine tour with Lindsay as well, he knows the best spots. Pillows are plenty and bed is very comfy, but if you can only sleep on a firm pillow - bring your own. Don’t leave without saying hi to Denzel (the cutest Cavoodle in Tannunda). Forgot our passports behind and Annemaree was kind enough to send them back to us by post. Can’t recommend this place enough!

Situated in Rowland Flat on a three-acre property, the stone cottage was the original tack and feed rooms for Mr Rowland's stables. Separated by a courtyard the stables are now the home of the host. The cottage is comprised of a truly delightful bedroom with an antique double bed with stunning garden views; comfortable lounge room with TV/DVD, CD/radio, books and games; light and open equipped kitchenette with bar fridge, microwave, large electric frying pan and breakfast bar overlooking gardens through french windows (provisions for continental breakfast); the bathroom has both separate shower and claw foot slipper bath, toilet and vanity. R/c air-conditioning/heating and ceiling fans throughout. Access from the cottage to your own verandah with garden spilling over…serenity…the perfect spot for breakfast, coffee or bottle of local wine. Enjoy walks through our vineyard and paddocks and come across surprises such as our free-range chooks, wood fire pizza oven, an array of interesting seating and more. Incredible views across the valley floor to the imposing ranges or, bordering our property, the beguiling North Para River (in winter a roaring, cascading joy to behold or in summer the rock based riverbed allows access to caves, a geologists delight) and the birdlife is bountiful. Use of the swimming pool is available in the warmer months.
There’s plenty to do, only minutes away: Tanunda Pines Golf course, the bike/walking path (from Angaston to Gawler) runs past the top of our property, hot air ballooning, helicopter scenic flights, wineries, restaurants, art galleries, cafes and day spa (at the Novotel). What more could you want?
  • Kay and Madeline are the perfect hosts for a trip to the Barossa. Full of local knowledge and stories to make sure you have a great trip. The small touches make ‘The Stables’ an amazing place to stay with a very central location for you to explore the Barossa. We were treated with fresh eggs from the chooks, homemade jams and bath salts, local milk and plunger coffee! Dixie and Tibs (the dogs) were extremely friendly and loved meeting us at the gate for a pat. We can’t wait to visit another day and experience more of the Barossa.

The hosts, Jan, Craig, Scott are very inviting and always available when required. Ten stars out of five.

  • The cottage is setup to take advantage of the amazing vineyard views, it’s so relaxing either on the couch or in the pool. Was really happy with the quality of the appliances and furnishings. Retrieving a night cap from the cellar was a real novelty. Its walking distance from the coffee shops and restaurants on the main street which made it so easy after a night enjoying a couple of glasses of wine. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

  • Absolutely phenomenal place... nuff said... Gorgeous view, great place for good times. Jan, Craig , and Scott where awesome people very down to earth and relatable. Can’t thank them enough for offering up this place!!

  • This place is amazing! Staying here really made our trip to the Barossa extra special. The plunge pool with views over the vineyards was a highlight and my partner also had fun on the driving range next to the house. Each night you can go down into your private cellar and choose a bottle of wine which was a lovely touch. We cooked in the old fire oven on the balcony but there's also a fully equiped kitchen. There's local gins to taste with capi tonic in the fridge. Also chocolate! and milk for your nespresso is all provided. We never wanted to leave the house. It's also only 5 mins walk from town and close by to so many good wineries. Even though you're right in the thick of it you feel miles away. This would have to be one of my favourite airbnb's I've ever stayed in.

    Alana2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Very comfortable cottage in a great location. Worth a stay just to watch the sunset from the pool.

    Nigel2020-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • If we could have given Rogasch Cottage 10 stars we would have! A superb little gem hidden away amongst the vines within 5 minutes walking distance to the main street bustling with cafe's and restaurants. Scott was such a welcoming host along with Jan and Craig - nothing was too much trouble. We enjoyed a private tour of the micro-vineyard as well as joining them for a G & T on our first night. Beautifully renovated, the Cottage is a mix of old and new with all the luxuries one could ever ask for along with your very own stocked cellar. Wine, local gin, chocolate and even a litre of milk in the fridge welcomed us on our arrival. Carefully thought through touches make this place an absolute must stay. Watching sunset in the plunge pool is something we will remember for a long time. We were sad to leave but are already planning on a return stay! Outstanding Air BnB :)

    Varda2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • If we could give this place 6 stars, we would. The view is spectacular and the cottage has been beautifully renovated. The plunge pool is an absolute treat! Scott was incredibly accomodating and it was great talking with him about his vineyard and wines (which are amazing!).

    Dani2020-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at the little cottage was amazing! It has been restored very tastefully and has everything you could want in a relaxing setting. The plunge pool was exceptional and we made good use of it! The beds were super comfy and the linen and towels were high quality. We really enjoyed the cellar and the opportunity to try some of the wines grown and made at the vineyard. The house is in a great location, walking distance to Murray Street. We would absolutely stay again - fantastic, friendly hosts, always happy to share their local recommendations. Thank you Jan, Craig and Scott.

Perfect for one or two people, The Writer's Studio is fully self-contained. It has a really comfortable and firm inflatable queen bed. Away from the main house, it opens out onto a small orchard. This is a quiet oasis you can enjoy in between exploring all the Barossa has to offer. It has dining and sitting areas as well as a reading nook in the loft. It has a sofa which can open out for a child if necessary. Or we can set up another inflatable bed in the loft, accessed by a loft ladder.
The Writer's Studio is great for singles or couples. I originally called it, The Shed, as it was once a hay shed with three walls and a grass floor. It morphed into The Writer's Studio after various friends asked to use it as their retreat to spend time quietly catching up on writing projects. Wineries abound, as do eating opportunities, ranging from the award winning Appellation at The Louise and fermentAsian (consistently names in the Top 100), to Vintners, Harvest Kitchen, 1918, St Hugo’s and Maggie Beer's Farm. There is also a huge selection of light meal options offered by most of the wineries.
There is a vineyard and winery cellar door directly the house. It is a short, two block walk to the main street, supermarket, bakery, coffee shops, restaurants, Information Centre and bicycle hire.
  • My partner and I absolutely loved our stay at Lesley’s place - if only we had stayed a little longer! The studio was clean, had all the amenities required and breakfast items provided. The location was great for us. It was only a short drive to the wineries we wanted to visit and a short walk into town. We’ll definitely stay here when we return to the Barossa Valley.

  • This place was gorgeous . We loved the decor ...simple but sensuous and sumptuous in its use of colour and texture . The host was very generous in her local knowledge . Generous supplies provided for breakfast and access to beautiful fresh fruit from the host’s garden . Very good location with great local restaurants and wine bars within walking distance. Do not be concerned by the inflatable bed. It was incredibly comfortable and we slept well . Despite the modest size of the kitchen , we were easily able to cook ourselves a full meal . Delightful

    Philip2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • It’s in a convenient spot and close to everything. Lesley is a great host. Jenny also provided helpful information to me. I was really enjoyed the time I spent there :)

    Lisa2020-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely place for a couple to stay and so centrally located it was easy to get around to all the local Barossa attractions. We’d love to come back in autumn.

  • Absolutely beautiful little place. It was so clean, spacious and very conveniently located in the Barossa. We were greeted at the place and provided with some great recommendations. Further, we were given the nicest fresh bread and some things for breakfast. Lesley definitely goes above and beyond. Loved it!

Tamu Barossa is a fully self contained guest house with a blend of classic and modern design set on our lush two-acre property a mere 3 minute drive from the quaint little town of Lyndoch, the gateway to the Barossa Valley. It is separate from our main house so you will have full privacy to enjoy our cosy guesthouse. The name ‘Tamu’ means ‘sweet’ in Swahili and ‘guest’ in Malay. A happy coincidence that pays homage to Kenya and Malaysia, where my husband and I originated from.
At Tamu you can relax on your private verandah and sip some local wine or enjoy a delectable cup of tea. Take a stroll and wander around our property. We have a variety of young fruit trees, herbs, flowers and there are a lot of established gum trees and cypress pine which attract a number of birds such as the Rainbow Lorikeet, Kookaburra and honeyeaters. You will also be able to meet the kangaroos that hop in and out of our property to graze. Our landscaping is a work in progress so please do bear with us. Our guesthouse can accommodate a maximum of 2 adults and 1 child. Tamu’s amenities include: - Split system heating and cooling units in the Bedroom and Living Room - Two king single beds that can be separated or put together to create one large king bed (please advise us of your preference). - We can provide a single foam mattress with linen and beddings that can be placed on the floor to be used by your child. - Portacot with mattress and linen, baby bathtub, changing mat, towel and highchair can be provided for a baby. - Wardrobe & dressing table - Fully equipped Kitchen (pots, pans, crockery, glassware, cutlery, teaware) - Kitchen appliances (fridge, oven, microwave, gas cooktop, toaster, Nespresso coffee machine) - Basic Kitchen supplies (olive oil, pepper, salt, sugar, foil, clingwrap) - Complimentary milk, muesli and coffee pods - Open plan Living Room, Kitchen and Dining - Flat screen TV - No Wifi available at this time unfortunately, but you can hotspot your mobile phone - Two seat dining table - Highchair can be provided upon request - Bathroom with toilet and shower - Undercover verandah with a two seat table - On site parking We will greet you in passing and always welcome a chat if you feel so inclined. However, our service philosophy is minimal intrusion. Let yourself in, make yourself at home and if you need anything more or have any difficulty please let us know. Check out what is happening and more photos by following our Instagram page @tamubarossa.
We are just a 13 minute drive to Tanunda the cosmopolitan heart of the Barossa with the best restaurants, entertainment and cellar doors. Award winning winery Kellermeister is just a two minute drive from us. The winery is rated in the top 7% of Australian producers by Australia's acclaimed wine critic, James Halliday. For those who are a bit more adventurous, the Altona CSR Landcare Reserve which is highly rated on Tripadvisor Australia is located just opposite our property. It has a 6km walking track and is a great place to observe the wildlife and vegetation. Or you could wander down on to the Barossa Trail which is a shared cycling and walking path that goes from the outskirts of Gawler through Lyndoch, Rowland Flat, Tanunda, Nuriootpa to Angaston.

Marriage proposals, weddings - it has all happened at The Chapel. Today, The Chapel is an elegantly renovated circa 1849 church in the small town of Lyndoch. The Chapel has two queen beds. The main bedroom is upstairs with its own ensuite shower and toilet. It is a loft style bedroom. The sun-filled atrium and spa room is a great way to relax after a long day exploring the Barossa Valley. If you love to cook, a fully equipped kitchen is at your disposal. But the Barossa is known for its foodie culture with its many restaurants and cafes to explore and indulge. We can even organise your own private inhouse chef! The staff at the cellar door were friendly and extremely knowledgeable. The cottage was beautiful, comfortable, and well-stocked. To top it off, the pool, fruit trees, and garden space made us feel like royalty. If you're considering staying here, don't hesitate, just do it.

  • Josie and Andrew are wonderful hosts. Their place is very clean and relaxing. Highly recommend!

  • We stayed at ‘in the vines’ for 2 nights and had a wonderful time - Josie and Andrew went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay, from the goodies in the fridge to lots of local recommendations. We enjoyed a glass of wine in the hammock looking over the vines at sunset and would definitely recommend as a place to stay!

    Alice2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • In the Vines has to be our best Airbnb experience to date. Jocelyn and Andrew have worked hard to ensure that the cottage provides an exceptional guest accommodation. The fit out and furnishings are of the highest quality and all done with thought and taste. The shower room is just amazing, perfect to wake you up or soothe you after a day in the hot Barossa sun. The hosts provide helpful local insights and tips to enable you to get the best out of your visit. Andrew has good taste in wineries, eateries and coffee shops! Watching the sunset in the evening form the verandah or double hammock is a highlight. I recommenda visit to the Tom Foolery tasting room just a few mins walk away. Enjoy!

  • Perfection - it's the only word to describe this experience. If you are visiting the Barossa and this place is free, don't hesitate - just book it! Outstanding hospitality from very thoughtful hosts, extremely comfortable and well-appointed accommodation where everything has been thought of, sparkling clean, and as for the location - you can walk to a winery *next door* to get a bottle or two. Spectacular sunsets, waking with birdsong every morning, a hammock for two....Josie and Andrew have thought of everything, and it shows. If we ever return to the Barossa, we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Thank you again for a wonderful relaxing time and for all the generous extras and helpful tips throughout our stay.

    Philippa2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • A gem of an Airbnb. Josie and Andrew provided us with delicious breakfast ingredients, recommendations for local restaurants and wineries, and thoughtful touches to ensure our comfort -- Andrew even brought us a pillow to better enjoy lounging in the hammock! It felt like we were staying at a friend's place, instead of just an Airbnb, with the right balance of help from the hosts while also maintaining our privacy. Thank you again for a great stay!

    Austin2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing stay. The cottage is beatiful, very comfortable and we will 100pct book here again next time we are in Barossa.

A characterful ironstone cottage located in the heart of the Barossa. Equipped with all the modern amenities for the most discerning guest. The interior is a mix of contemporary and old to give the cottage a light, bright and airy feel while remaining true to it’s longstanding heritage. Situated on a large block, the garden wraps around the cottage to provide many places in which to relax and unwind.
This beautiful ironstone cottage built in the mid 1860’s is located in Lyndoch; a quaint and historic town situated in the heart of the Barossa Valley. The cottage has been newly renovated with a fresh, modern interior, but is also sympathetic to it’s historical roots with the incorporation of lovely antique pieces sourced from the Barossa and Adelaide Hills. It features all the modern amenities, including a fully equiped kitchen, laundry area with washing machine, split system air conditioning, large spa bath, Wi-Fi connectivity and Netflix enabled Smart TV. The main street of Lyndoch is also within walking distance where you will find Lagana’s General Store, the local butcher, Lyndoch Bakery and other pubs, restaurants and cafes in which to indulge in our famous local produce. Although close to the main street, the property is nestled in a peaceful corner of the lyndoch township. The large cottage style garden is the perfect place to unwind with a good book and take in the Barossa’s beautiful surroundings. Inclusions: - A bottle of wine on arrival - LCD Smart TV - Wi-Fi - Two person spa bath - Air-conditioning - Washing machine - Nespresso coffee pod machine - Full kitchen equiped with stove/oven, microwave and cooking utensils - A range of mini breakfast cereals, jams, condiments and milk provided (please advise of any special dietary requirements) - Luxury toiletry range (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap and travel accessories kit) - Spacious bathroom, plus second toilet - Hair dryer - Iron & Ironing Board - Clothes airer - Large novel/book selection - Board games - Set of golf clubs (on request)
Our neighbourhood is quiet and full of friendly people who always seem to be willing to stop for a chat. The lyndoch hotel is a short 15 minute walk down the road. If you prefer a glass of wine over a beer however, the lovely Reis Creek cellar door is situated just opposite. Lyndoch is a fantastic location as it is central in relation to many wineries and cellar doors. Barossa Chateau, Kies Family Wines, Kellermeister and Chateau Yaldara are all within 5 minutes driving distance of the accomodation. And we aren't short of local golf courses either! Sandy Creek Golf Club is a short 5 minute drive, while the Tanunda Pines Golf Club is located only 10 minutes away from the accomodation. We offer guests a set of golf clubs to use on request should you want to take advantage of these courses.
  • We had a wonderful stay at Brooke and Peter’s. This is a beautiful cottage with Brooke’s immaculate attention to detail, perfectly positioned in the Barossa. The place is spotless and Brooke is a great host and very easy to communicate with.

    Emma2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • We were lucky enough to the first guests at Brooke and Peter’s place. It was as beautiful as the pictures look and was such a lovely place to stay. It was the perfect location to use as a base whilst we explored the Barossa. Brooke was very quick to respond to messages and they were lovely hosts, definitely recommend for a couples getaway!

As our guests, you will have exclusive access to the first quarter of the block, encapsulated by fencing which provides a compound around the house to allow both you, and our neighbours each their own privacy. The house sleeps 6 guests across 3 bedrooms. The recent renovation has seen the interior of the house, and the backyard revitalised in their entirety. The bathroom includes a free-standing bathtub and seperate shower alcove with rainmaker shower head. Full laundry facilities are provided including a large washing machine and seperate dryer, with the option to hang clothes outside on a fold down clothesline. An ironing board and iron are supplied. A seperate room has been set up as a permanent Study with desk, chair and widescreen monitor for those who require a dedicated workspace. High-speed NBN is provided wirelessly and reception reaches all areas of the retreat's compound. The study also doubles as a additional space for the kids to watch TV, a DVD or play the PlayStation. The lounge room, kitchen and dining are combined into a single open plan living space which opens to the alfresco entertainment area. The kitchen is fully-equipped with all cutlery, crockery, glassware and cookware. A capsule coffee machine, kettle and toaster are provided in addition to the microwave, fan-forced oven and dishwasher. Where there are additional vehicles these can be parked on the side of the road or behind the existing carport. We are set to cater for young families also. If you require a highchair, cot or playpen please let us know prior to your arrival as these are kept in storage. The Barossa Valley is a stunning adventure waiting to happen, we hope our home will help you enjoy it as best you can.
So close to the town centre yet far enough away for peace and quiet. Just a 2 minute stroll down the road is Discovery Parks Barossa Valley. The family section of the park includes a splashtacular waterpark, complete with three slides, gigantic tipping bucket and more splash zones than we can count. (day passes available for $15, family and group pricing available on request). And while the kids are playing in the water the folks can pop across the road to Barossa Valley Brewing. The brewery houses a Brasserie and stunning beer garden with live music from 4 - 7pm every Saturday and Sunday. These are just two of the many cafés, galleries, museums and within walking distance, and dotted around the main street of Tanunda.
  • The house is exactly like pictured, very stylish and comfortable. The house has absolutely everything you would need for your stay and is close to some fabulous wineries: Honestly, could not fault anything about the house or our stay in Tanunda. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a fabulous place in the Barossa.

  • Lovely accommodation. Comfortable, clean and had everything you need for a long or short stay. Great decor and finishing touches. Thank you Cory.

    Chelsea2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Cory’s place is ideally located in Tanunda - a great place to base yourself for a Barossa Valley weekend. The place is as pictured and Cory has thought of nice little touches such as the mini toiletries kits for each guest AND enough toilet paper for your stay - HOORAY! Check in and check out was a breeze and we made the most of the place - even cooking up dinner one eve with local produce and watching a movie. If I’m in the Barossa again or have any friends planning on going, I wouldn’t hesitate to suggest they stay at Cory’s. It’s a stylish boutique yet homely stay.

The Barossa Valley is an internationally-acclaimed wine region founded on passion, pride and the great South Australian spirit. Shiraz grapes are the local speciality but don't miss out on digging into sumptuous local produce. Further to this, below is a list of some of the most popular attractions I think you might enjoy along the local Seppeltsfield Road and beyond: ★ Maggie Beer's Farm Shop. ★ Hentley Farm degustation. ★ Seppeltsfield Road Distillers - Handcrafted Barossa Gin. ★ Barossa Valley Ballooning, just next door! ★ Penfolds Barossa Valley cellar door - a 10-min drive. ★ Barossa Farmers Market- Angaston (Saturdays 7:30-11:30 only, 15- min drive ) ★ Take a walk to Seppets Mausoleum and admire the view from the top, overlooking the famous Seppeltsfield Palm Drive. ★ Wander into over 80 cellar doors.

  • Karl is a very warm host. We really liked the accommodation. The accommodation is perfect for exploring the Barossa Valley. We had top wineries nearby. Hentley Farm Wines, Hayes Family Wines, Henschke, ... In the evening we enjoyed the most beautiful sunset on the terrace and we discovered many kangaroos next to our accommodation. We had a delicious breakfast from Karl in the fridge. Homemade honey, bread, bacon, eggs, tomatoes and butter. We love it and we will come back! Thank you so much Karl!

    Sarina2020-03-07T00:00:00Z

  • My partner and I were beyond impressed with our stay at Vineyard Views! Everything from the styling to the surprise breakfast goodies were a hit - and the incredible views go without saying. The location is also great - we stayed in for dinner to be able to enjoy it all but we easily would have been able to get outselves around to local eateries. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for accommodation in the Barossa and hope to go back ourselves.

  • Absolutely incredible. Having been to the Barossa a few times previously, staying at Karl’s place has made this time the most special. The apartment is awesome, super clean and comfortable and incredible views of the surrounding vines - especially at sunset. Karl was really friendly and welcoming (as were Jazzy and Ginger) - he even bailed us out when we arrived too late to get food anywhere. We really, really didn’t want to check out. 100% recommend.

  • Strategic location, just 10minutes to restaurants n famous winery. Less travelling time, means more time to explore. Place is fantastic, clean and fully equip kitchen. Luxury but not over doing it. Comfortable and spacious. Like the natural theme and sundeck to have drink or two or three, so close to vineyard.

  • Lovely location and family friendly, as described. Great communication with easy check in/out and local tips. Walls are a little thin but if the neighbours co-operate it's not too bad. Lovely local breakfast provided and the kids loved the karts and meeting the animals. Beautiful BBQ / grass area with easy parking and lots to do. Thanks again for having us!
