  • Absolutely recommended !! The host is most warm and welcoming and could not do enough to ensure that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The house is extra special and was perfect for our party. So close to the city and with many extra special touches this elegant property is now firm in our hearts. From the minute we arrived to the day we left Mark was on hand for any questions and made us feel so welcome. This may need to be an annual trip as we miss being there already.

  • Great place to stay hosts can't do enough for you. Definitely worth another stay

    Valerie2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was very clean. They were a lot of nice little touches. There was cereal, tea, coffee and milk, which my son loved. They even put the word welcome onto the pillows in our bedroom. They offered us the use of the fire pit and the hot tub but we were too tired to use them. It was only 13 minutes for us to get to Belfast which was great. I loved that it had parking. There was a really cute Game of Thrones comforter set on my sons bed. They were quick to answer any questions that we had and they offered suggestions on places to eat. We actually listened to Brendan and went to Saint George’s market and had a great breakfast this morning. Thanks for everything

    Helena2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely wonderful wee spot. Cabin plenty of room and so tidy and cosy. The fire pit was beautiful, we used it for a bbq even in wet windy weather as its in a lovely wee shed. The heated swimming pool looked spectacular, excellent size, we didn't use on this visit but look forward to getting back againto use. Service from the hosts was excellent, couldn't have done enough for us. Thankyou for a wonderful stay

    Diane2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Top 5 Best Things About The Place 1. The fire pit for roasting marshmallows. 2. Fire pit/Snug 3. They have beautiful friendly cats 4. The apartment has Netflix enabled 4K ultra HD TV and WiFi 5. The lovely little cooked breakfast they brought to us. Handmade croissants with bacon and cheese, delicious Oh and there is one more! 6. The 3 mtr thermal spa in the The host is definitely a super host: friendly, attentive, and couldn’t do enough for us. You need need to tell them whether you want to use the thermal spa and snug ahead of your stay, so they ensure there is charcol for the snug, and they’ll heat the thermal spa for you too, keep it nice and hot ahead of using it. The home is perfectly situated. It’s a short walk from the whitehouse which serve up delicious meals for £6 or under. The restaurant ia through the bottom bar and up the spiral staircase. If you go on a sunday youll be in for a treat but be warned, ask fot a small portion, if you’re like me and don’t eat huge dinners, Youll never finish a large one lol. You’re also a 5-min stroll to hazelbank country park & beach with a good 3 mile costal walk if you’re into that. The park provides picnic tables for the summer with ample parking.

Warm and comfortable double room and separate single room in our cosy little cottage with Breakfast, Wifi and Netflix privided by experienced and trustworthy superhosts with over 300 reviews. Only 25 minutes from Belfast, a mile and a half (2.4Km) on the hill above the centre of Carrickfergus. It's not for everyone but it's perfect for those who want to be out of town and away from the hassle of the city centre. Easy off streat parking and a great way to start or end your Causeway Coast road.
Three great reasons guests love about our charming little cottage are: - Spacious and Clean - You can read all the previous reviews of how clean and spacious the private bedrooms are and how clean the shared bathroom is. - Comfortable bed - Most of my guests comment on the good night’s sleep they had -Attention to detail - We have been hosting for over 3 years now and have over 300 positive reviews. Yes, we were doing this before Airbnb was really a thing, and we try to think of your travelling needs when you stay with us. Guests mention it in their reviews about the 'extra touches' that made their stay extra special like us offering bottled water by your bed and a continental breakfast to all guests Two items my guests sometimes wish was different: - Shared home - Jim and I will be your housemate during your stay, Jim works from home, and our bathroom is shared and next door to the single room. But the main bedroom has its own TV, Wifi, Netflix etc and you'll be the only guests staying so you get plenty of privacy. - Not in the centre of town - But a very short 5 minute drive down the hill and we will try and give you lifts to local bars and restaurants when needed but our home does work best if you have a car. You get to look at the sheep in the field opposite the bedroom & know your car is safe in our drive behind the cottage. We have cosy & comfortable double room for 2 and a single room for 1, with a shared bathroom in our 1940's cottage, a mile and a half from Carrickfergus on the hill overlooking Belfast Lough. It's perfect for those who want to be 25 minutes from Belfast but in a slightly quieter area on the edge of Carrickfergus. The window overlooks the garden and towards green fields which at the moment have some big fluffy sheep in them. If the day is wet there is a TV in your room with 62 channels plus Netflix, Catch Up BBC & Digital Radio etc and here is free high speed BT infinity fiber optic WiFi. Also you are welcome to use our washing machine & tumble dryer to freshen up. Parking is down private lane to the rear of the rear of the cottage and is safe and secure. RATES: Prices vary depending on the season and number of guests.
Milebush is a suburb of Carrickfergus on the spectacular Causeway Coastal route that connects Belfast to Londonderry/Derry and the cottages are on the edge of town beside the greenbelt so overlooks fields with some rather fluffy looking sheep from the front and private gardens with parking to the rear so it's the perfect location if you would like to be near Belfast (25 minutes by car) but at the same time to be away from the hustle of the city. The neighbours in the adjoining cottages are mainly retired and the area is laid back, safe and friendly. The town centre is down the hill towards the nearly 900 year old Norman castle, roughly a mile and a half from us, where is there is a good selection of bars & restaurants. Make sure to check out the 16th Century Dobbins for a pint or a cocktails at Swifts at the harbour. Friday nights, hit the Karaoke in Ownie's Bar in the Scotch Quarter of the town and if you are on a budget drop into Wetherspoons' Central Bar in High St for one of their meal and a drink deals that start from £5. For those with a sweet tooth, try Seasons Coffee Shop a few minutes walk from the cottage for their Mars Bar Scones or for cool treats there is Morelli's ice cream in Oakland Park only 5 minutes walk or in the town centre go to Mauds Ice Cream parlour for their Choccy Bear ice cream is amazing!
  • Alan and Jim were the most welcoming of hosts! My friend and I had a really lovely time at their place - it was very comfortable, warm, and Alan and Jim had added the cutest touches around the house.

A modern fully equipped kitchen ,with washing and drying , also provided with a range of essentials . • Juanita house was perfect for us. I was warm, cosy and absolutely spotlessly clean. There were some nice touches including breakfast cereal, a umbrella, lovely fluffy towels. The access was so east and Juanita communication was perfect. If we visit Belfast again we will stay with Juanita.

  • This house was spectacular I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Miriam next door was gorgeous and her dog Dougal is beautiful

  • We've spent a week in this cosy and sparkling clean house. We enjoyed the garden, the nice kitchen, chatting with neighbors and the lovely furnished house very much. It is also easy to get around by bus (just in front of the house) or train (15min walk) and everyone is really helpful and kind if you have any questions. I definitely recommend this place, especially for families, there is everything you need, even a nice seaview from the bedroom.

  • We had a perfect stay at Lilia’s place - nice place, tasty breakfast and lovely hosts, definitely recommended.

    Lennert2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Lilia's home was absolutely beautiful, it was spacious, homely and inspiring, loved the wooden interior and beams, full of interesting decor, furnishings and cosy nooks! Lilia was an amazing host and made our stay so comfortable and enjoyable. The generosity of her hospitality was outstanding! The breakfasts were delicious and plentiful!! Loved the views from our rooms and all the live activity amongst the chickens, hens and roosters! The backdrop of hills and sheep just added to the outlook. The location was very quiet and peaceful, near to Carrick beach and just a few miles from Carrickfergus and the castle. Lilia gave lots of helpful suggestions for exploring the local area. Would highly recommend Fox Heaven (such a great name!) and would love to stay again if back in the area.

  • Foxhaven B and B is a charming two-story home. The rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, bathrooms are warm and clean and Liliana was gracious, methodical and fastidious. The full Irish breakfast were served in the downstairs kitchen at the time of our choosing. We departed for touring after breakfast and returned after dark. Liliana assisted us with reheating our take away food. We slept well in the peace and quiet.

  • Best BnB, hands down! The location is beautiful and a stone’s throw from the train station, very convenient. Lilia is incredibly thoughtful and goes above and beyond to make everyone’s stay as pleasant as possible. She woke up extra early to make a special breakfast for us and gave us helpful recommendations. The space is homey and the bed was very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. Can’t wait to come back!

The breakfast was AMAZING and we even got to play ball with her lovely dog in her beautiful garden. The only thing we regret is not having more time to stay longer. Absolutely recommended!

Titanic Museum is 20 minutes away and the Giants Causeway 60 minutes. The start of the beautiful Antrim coast is only 20 minutes.
  • I love this Airbnb! The Loft is indeed spacious and stylish, it’s also located in a really beautiful part of the countryside (but still just a short drive from Belfast). Communication with the host Margaret was quick and easy, and she was very accommodating of my bizarre travel schedule. I was delighted with the place anyway, but the breakfast provisions in the fridge absolutely made my day - a thoughtful and generous touch. I would definitely be happy to stay here again, or recommend it to others.

The room has a 4' 6" double bed, which sleeps two people comfortably. This room is the smaller of the 2 rooms available to Airbnb guests. There is a latch lock on the inside door but it can't be locked from the outside. It will suit travellers, Business Professionals and short-stay visitors to the historical city of Belfast. The room is carpeted, has a gas heated radiator for warmth and overlooks my rear enclosed garden, which is south facing so enjoys the Sun (when it shines).
This room is in a owner part-occupied home. The room is clean, bright and spacious enough for a 4'6" Double Bed. The house is compact, with a good size living room, kitchen and shower/bathroom. Guests have access to all parts of the house and facilities. There's an enclosed front and rear garden, which you can also make use of on a sunny day. There is a secure front of house parking space.
The house is situated in the Graymount area of North Belfast, accessible by regular local bus services, 5 minutes walk from the house. Travel time to the City Centre (3 miles) on local transport takes 10 mins. The area is a settled part of North Belfast, quiet and convenient to Cavehill Country Park, the north foreshore of Belfast Lough for walks and cycling, M2 motorway, local services and Fort William Golf Course. The house provides off-street parking, front and rear garden (South facing) and sits on a quiet cul-de-sac. While the area would have historically seen troubling times during the NI Conflict it is generally considered a quiet area and my own experience of living here for many years confirms this. The house is clean, has all mod cons and would suit guests who would prefer a quieter location while still being readily accessible to the City Centre and other areas. You can leave the house and walk up Grays Lane and be in Cavehill Country Park in less than 15 minutes or down on the very scenic Belfast Lough for walks along the coastline. Graymount is a traditionally Protestant suburban settled area of the City, which shares a Peace Line with the Whitewell area. While it has experienced community conflict over the years it has been trouble free 99% of the time for over 15 years. However, it is important to let guests know that with it being a predominantly Protestant area this should be acknowledged, as with any other areas of Belfast in which one religious group is more prevalent in the community. The area has become more mixed over the years but like most of NI one religion or the over still makes up 90% of most communities. While I'm of no particular religious persuasion and welcome people of all faiths (or none) I'd recommend that you consider your own levels of religious and political comfort if considering staying in the area. While there are few remaining signs of the conflict in this community it is nonetheless still an area which reflects the Protestant community rather than the Catholic community. If the history of the Troubles is not an issue for you then staying here will be as enjoyable as any other suburban area of the City. The area is very quiet and peaceful, with access to some great local sites to enjoy. You can be guaranteed a warm welcome if you exercise some discretion in Belfast and where I live is no different.

Hi there. The room is bright and airy and a real home from home experience. I love guests and company. You have your own Bathroom. I am 7 miles out of the centre of Belfast with easy walking access to central bus routes within minutes. I am 10 minutes away from Belfast castle and other local attractions. The Theatre at the Mill is under 2 miles away for theatre buffs. There is a lovely forest nearby for those into nature walks.
My home is your home. That is my motto. You have a fabulously comfy double bed and if you want to spend time chatting and watching TV with me you are more than welcome to make yourself a cuppa. The Kitchen can be used and I have breakfast foods available to use.
This is a very quiet neighbourhood. We are close to all amenities you could want.
  • Heather is a great hostess, with a clean, new place. She has a beautiful and very friendly dog who is very sweet and adorable. She went out of her way the night I arrived after a long motorcycle journey to get me dinner while I warmed up. Thanks Heather!

  • Very nice host, picked us up from the airport due to our late arrival, so thoughtful and accommodating. Nice warmly welcome to her home, good night’s sleep with access to a kitchen for breakfast and hot drinks. Loved it.

  • Lovely spot to stay with the dogs for a weekend near Belfast. Close to the city. Lovely and clean. Heather was very welcoming and accommodating. Beautiful and friendly resident dog Misty.

  • I had a lovely stay at Heathers. She has a lovely house and is very friendly. Check-in was very easy and I was free to come and go as I please. Great host, lovely dog too!

  • Very welcome and good advice. Room and very good equipment

  • Perfect location for us as we wanted to explore the nearby area. Quiet area just what we needed. Very handy having the bus to Belfast City outside just a short walk. Very near a Parkrun on Saturdays. plenty to see and do. 😁

    Anne-Marie2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Me and my family lived at Heather’s place for 4 nights and it was such an amazing experience. Even prior to the trip, Heather was very much pleasing to communicate to and was quite thoughtful in her responses. She was very flexible, patient and open-minded in her hosting as she allowed us to check-in as per our convenience (although we did check out promptly). She made us feel at home throughout and on many occasions took that extra effort to enable us feel ‘home away from home’. The house overall was sparkling clean and decorated in a crisp, simple manner. The house is right next to the bus stop that takes you to the city centre (we didn’t have a car) in about 30 mins. There are some local shops too to quench sudden hunger pangs. Overall, I would anyway suggest the house to anyone wishing to explore not just the Belfast city but also the local country side and the forests. The host is definitely a super host! P.S: One of the best part of our stay was Heather’s pet named Misty who we grew so dearly fond of. Such a brilliant dog!

  • Perfect location, and a really lovely stay - Lynda's Place was perfect for what we needed. Close to the shops and family, and private for us to have our own space, all amenities were ideal and communication was quick and really friendly. My little boy so appreciated the milk etc after arriving nearly at bedtime! I would heartily recommend Lynda's Place as a fab base camp for exploring Belfast and the coast.

  • Our hosts were easy to communicate with and even checked in on us after arrival to make sure we could work the heating and hot water properly which was much appreciated. The spacious accommodation was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We loved their place and would not hesitate to return when next in Newtownabbey. Excellent value for money!

  • This is an elevated property on a hill which gives you nice views of newton abbey and the hills around belfast. It is quiet and secure. Large size flat on two floors

    Manny2019-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • Elizabeth's place was a pleasant surprise. It exceeded our expectations and really felt homely. This was due to the little touches the host has done to help with your stay. It was spotlessly clean too. We did not have a car so caught buses into town instead. This worked well but does involve walking some steep streets as the accommodation is on a hill. We really enjoyed our time there.

Easy access to both Belfast airports and ferries into Larne and Belfast.
We have a comfortable open plan lounge and kitchen area with big sofas, large HD TV, intelligent Hive heating system and a free Netflix Ultra HD account for all guests to use. A large and cosy additional living room next door has an open fire, corner sofa, a telescope, a keyboard and Smart TV. A large collection of games and table football is downstairs. There are 2 spacious bedrooms, with double beds, wardrobes and storage space. These also include large TVs, deluxe memory foam mattress and views over surrounding countryside. A double sofa bed provides additional sleeping space downstairs. There is off street private parking for 4 cars.
Whilst close to the town, the house is located in a tranquil rural area, on one side overlooking Belfast Lough, Cavehill and into the city, and on the other side, Woodburn forest, host to forest trails and scenic lakeside walks.
  • The house offers spectacular views of the bay and we found it to be a good location for exploring the local area. There was so much room at the house that we were happy to spend time there as well. Communication with Charlotte was really good and check-in was nice and easy. Having the cot bed made up for us before we arrived was a nice touch. We had such a positive experience we'd definitely like to visit again.

    Andrew2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • The house was lovely and Charlotte and Michael were great hosts! We had a little problem with the heat when we first arrived and they made sure to send somebody over within the hour to fix it. Check in was a breeze and they were super responsive to all of our messages and made sure our stay was comfortable! The house itself is very comfortable and the view is breathtaking. I would highly recommend to anybody looking for a place to stay in Northern Ireland!

  • I would like to highly recommend this place to anyone that is looking for something that’s like home from home as this was. The house is absolutely amazing set with amazing views looking over Carrickfergus to which on a clear day the view goes for miles. I would like to thank Charlotte who’s the host to an amazing stay as she responded to all my questions within an hour. I can happily say that if I return back to Northern Ireland I shall be looking at staying here if available.

The Cabin offers you privacy and comfort away from the hustle and bustle. It's an open plan studio cabin with a separate shower and toilet. Small kitchen with microwave & fridge and everything you need for a short stay. It's not a penthouse apartment, however, if it's warmth, security, comfort, and cleanliness, then this is the place to come. The perfect REVIEWS say it all about the cabin. People seem to love it. It's also completely yours, you are sharing with no-one else. Enjoy!
This is a quaint studio just 8 minutes from the centre of Belfast. WIFI, tea, coffee, cereals, shower, double bed, TV, Bluetooth Speaker, Fresh Towels, Hair Dryer, iron, sofa couch and comfort. Everything you need for a short and cosy stay! If you want to lose yourself for a day or a week end, then lose yourself here. No one will find you. A double bed, fresh linen and towels, hair dryer, and small kitchen. With private parking and privacy, this cabin is all you need.
Great location on the Antrim road in Belfast. Taxis and buses at the door and local amenities just a few minutes away.
  • Great place and exceptional host. Will use it again and again! Really recommend

  • My husband, my 1 year old daughter and I stayed at The Cosy Cabin for 2 nights at New Year whilst visiting friends. From the first communication Mark was wonderful and so quick with his responses! The cabin itself is so cosy and has everything you need and bigger than it looks in the photos. Mark left is milk, butter, cereals, brioche and rolls as well as prosecco for new year which were fabulous touches. We requested a cot which is great and was really comfy for our daughter. In short this is great accommodation and we will be sure to go back next time we are in Belfast. Mark is one of the best hosts we have experienced during our time using Air B N B - he can’t help enough.

    Sarah2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Mark’s place was top notch. It was cosy, stylish and in a good location to go into the city centre. Great communication, and provided some amenities for us upon check in which was lovely! Mark went above and beyond to make sure we made the most of our stay - thank you very much!

    Ryan2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Very good experience with Mark and his little house. Very comfortable and warm on cold days. To get to Belfast by car is a very good option, the city is 10 minutes away by car and there is parking and free parking on the street, especially at night if you go to dinner, we park without problem. Mark is an excellent host, he booked us a table at a restaurant he recommended (Darcy's) and was attentive to anything we needed. 100% recommended

    Miguel Angel2019-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • The place was adorable and secluded, but not far from town. It had pretty much everything we needed! Mark was so helpful when we had trouble getting a reservation on a Saturday night. One of the best hosts we’ve ever had!

    Catherine2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Very adorable little place to stay in Belfast!!! 💫

    Jesse And Sera2019-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • We loved Mark's cabin! It is so charming and sweet. Looks just like the pictures! Mark was an incredible host. He provided us with plenty of recommendations for restaurants and pubs near by and with ideas of places to see up north. The cabin is right near a bus stop but we drove ourselves around so we didnt use public transportation. It is about a 10min drive from the city centre. I would highly recommend this cabin and would definitely stay with Mark again in the future!

Station House has been around for over 100 years. It was built just after the turn of the 20th century as the Station Master’s house, serving Greenisland Railway station. Station House sits in the heart of the village of Greenisland, named after a little islet in Belfast Lough. We are very pleased to have secured Northern Ireland Tourism approval for ‘Station House’
As the name suggests, Station House is right beside Greenisland railway station! From the station you can travel towards the famous Antrim Coast, via the historic Carrickfergus, beautiful Whitehead and on in to Larne. Or if you want to sample the city life in Northern Ireland, you can take the train into Belfast in 15 minutes. From there you can take a tour of the city or wander through the bustling shopping areas. Greenisland is also served well with Bus routes. Guests are free to use the entire house, garden and large parking space.
We are only ten miles from the bustling capital city of Belfast and five miles in the other direction lies the beautiful town of Carrickfergus with it’s 13th century castle.
  • We loved the house, which was perfect both for visiting relatives in Carrick and for the train and bus into Belfast. Lovely clean and cosy cottage with lots of generous and thoughtful touches. Thank you.

Unique, the only Coastguard Boathouse on Belfast Lough. The sea is a metre away, so close the waves sometimes touch the windows at high tide. Watch cruise ships sail past, taste & smell salty air. Quiet, convenient - Belfast City is 10 mins via car, bus/train. Renovated Dec19 with modern conveniences. Heritage features. Read about its 150yr history. Car is not essential. All of boathouse to yourself. 10mins to two Castles Carrick & Belfast. 3min walk to pharmacy/shop/pub/store. Read our reviews!
The only Coastguard Boat house you can sleep in on Belfast Lough. A unique experience - a must for sea and history lovers - the Boathouse is so close to the sea that the waves often touch it’s windows. It is less than a metre away from the sea at high tide. It is also completely self contained - no lifts or corridors - or shared spaces. The whole space to yourself. And, in light of concerns about the spread of the coronavirus the owners are taking extra precautions including thorough cleaning between guests to try to keep risks of infection to absolute minimum. This means all handles, light fittings and surfaces are disinfected and all sheets, cushions and throws washed between stays. Our personal approach to cleanliness is reflected in our reviews. You get the whole place to yourself as stands by itself. Unique panoramic views of the Lough, across to Down and Antrim Coast. A view, on the Causeway Costal Route, you can see at no other place in Ireland. See Belfast’s famous cranes as you have breakfast and watch the tides come and go. Watch the cruise ships arrive and leave Belfast Lough, view the mussel trawlers harvest the Lough. Located directly opposite the old coal pier monument (a small castle) - which was where linen was traded from up to 1930s. A tidal clock is provided so you catch the low tide and explore the protected ruin & sea wrecks at the Boat house’s ‘front garden.’ The Boat House has a slipway for visitor’s use with seating so you can people watch - with direct access to beach, cycle path and walk. Car parking is provided but you don’t need a car for this location as the boat house is only ten mins to the city centre. Despite its closeness to Belfast city, it is set in a private historical row of Coastguard Cottages and is really quiet - much more restful than a busy hotel or apartment block. It has its own private entrance. No loud neighbours to keep you awake - and as its over 150 years old very little sounds pass through the walls. You have full use of the Boat House. The owners live nearby and are on hand to help as much or as little as required. Each visitor gets advance notice of attractions if required as owner runs a blog on things to do in Belfast. Northern Ireland is celebrating its love of food and for food and drink lovers there are lots of experiences, walks, tours all food related! The historical building has kept much of its heritage features but with new modern conveniences - new bed and sprung mattress (hand made in Belfast ) shower, oven, microwave and retro fridge freezer, Tv, cable channels, DVD with access to sky news, and other tv channels . Free wi-fi is provided throughout so you can plan your day's activities in comfort before you venture out. It is all freshly painted and renovated. All approvals are in place with Tourism NI as in Northern Ireland - it is illegal to rent without these approvals - so you are staying in an approved, safe place. The boat house can offer a holiday home for people with mobility issues, as we have wide doors, no steps and shower chair. We have hosted adults who need assistance and a child who used a wheelchair. However, you would need some degree of ability a load bare to use toilet/shower - as there isn’t a turning circle. Please see detail in listing or get in touch. The Boathouse offers visitors a quiet retreat in a very special place - but is a five min train ride from Belfast City Centre or you could catch the bus right outside the private lane. We are located the Coastal route - an hour’s drive takes you to Portrush - for great golf, the Giant’s Causeway and Rope Bridge. Dogs are welcome to stay at the boat house (provided they aren’t puppies and there’s no more than two.) We offer a little doggie blanket for sandy paws, dog dishes, and there is even a spare dog lead and poop bags ! We take our environmental responsibilities seriously (it’s hard not to when you are so close to the sea) and so use smol washing tabs and toilet paper which is 100% recycled with no harmful inks or dyes. We are only just open a year -please do read our reviews & be assured of a lovely visit in an unique place - you will want to return to again and again. A car is not essential but if you choose to bring one/hire a car - there is a car parking space right beside the Boat House.
Ten minutes from Belfast city centre via car. Five minutes from Belfast Castle and Belfast zoo. Ten minutes from Carrickfergus Castle. Three minute walk to village with supermarket, bars and restaurants. Located right on beach and cycle path where you can cycle into city centre safely in 40 minutes. When the tide is out you can view ship wrecks on the beach and when in enjoy a lovely sea breeze and a unique view. A quick five minute taxi drive takes you to the Cavehill, Belfast zoo or Belfast Castle - you could walk but it’s up a big hill! The Newtownabbey area is surrounded by hills and walks - Carnmoney hill is a short walk away and if you tire of the coastal walk there are many other trails. Angling is very popular and a guide is available for those who want to pick up their rods. You can walk to The White House - one of oldest buildings in Northern Ireland in 20 mins along the Coast taking in the mix of nature and industry you can see around Belfast Lough. In the Spring you can walk to Merville Garden Village and see the cherry trees blossom in a former Eighteenth century walled garden - a sight that is akin to ‘pink snow.’ If shopping is your thing you can walk to the Abbey Centre with over 40 shops. The Coastal walk has also got a coffee stop - walk towards Belfast (20 mins)!until Hazelbank (looks like a forest) go up the hill and you will see the coffee can in the car park. Walk a little further another 20 go under a railway bridge - follow Gideon’s green to Mary Walkers for a hearty late breakfast or lunch. A bus/train can take you to the Goblins - one of NI’s premier attractions - a cliff walk in Whitehead. To assist you with your holiday - there are always festival on - offering unusual views of the city. In January the Out for Lunch programme has a schedule which includes evening events - not just lunch, February is the brilliant Science festival with activities for all ages and March is the Young at Art Festival. Also worth a look is the secret Belfast Facebook group, Seedhead arts and Culture Night in September is huge!
  • We have traveled to many places in the world and the boat house is number 1. Great location, amenities, views and Communication. This place made are trip around Europe.we will definitely be back.

  • Great place to stay, would definitely consider coming back. We used to live in the area, so it was a good location for visiting friends. The dogs loved having direct access to the beach. Would definitely recommend this place!

  • The Boat House is literally on the water's edge, and you can watch all the seabirds (binoculars in the house) and ships and boats coming to and fro. Just 5 miles from Belfast - you can see the H&W famous cranes from your windows - it's an easy bus trip in to the city. We loved our day in Belfast, visiting the City Hall (stunning) a pub lunch and a wee dram at The Garrick, and an incredible walking tour. Also had a day at The Giant's Causeway, oh my goodness you have to go! Breathtaking ... and just over an hour's drive away ... and of course we did a tour and a tasting at Bushmills. Our third day was a trip to Derry (approx 1.5hrs drive) and well worth it, as it is a compact city, packed with history. On our final day, we took it very easy, walked along the shore for a few minutes to cafe Sozo for a delicious fried breakfast before heading back to the airport. In between all our touring, we came home to the cosy little Boat House, always warm and equipped with everything you need. Carol was amazing at keeping in touch and making sure all was well with us. I'd very much hope to come again!

    Lesley2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great location for visiting Cavehill and the causeway. Nice to be right on the water so close to the city!

    Claire2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • I honestly have nothing to fault from my stay at the Boathouse! Carol was so accommodating and quick at responding to my messages, arranging a time to meet for check-in that suited me and walking me through the building to show me in detail how the heating etc. worked. She'd also prepared a great folder all about the Boathouse amenities and its history for guests, as well as little extra touches like providing tea, cereal, and access to the smart TV accounts. The house itself is exactly like the photographs if not even more lovely in person - a perfect relaxing spot for a getaway, more than large enough for two but also cosy enough if you're on your own, and Carol's house being so nearby made me feel very safe. Could not recommend the place highly enough :)

  • A superbly delightful wee place by the sea. Snug in the winter time & ideally situated for beautiful moonlight walks along the seashore literally! Can’t wait to try this place in spring & summer time too. My dog relished in this place 🐶❤️🌠

  • Jane has thought of everything! She makes you feel so at home, I had such a relaxing stay. The rooms are all lovely. Beautiful peaceful location and I loved the animal menagerie! Brilliant for business stay or holiday.

  • Words cannot describe how wonderful Jane and Graham. They're very sweet and kind. I was very comfortable staying there and wish I could be there longer. Jane and Graham's farm is beautiful, the animals are friendly. I was greeted with the goats and her dogs and it makes me feel like I just come to my grandparents house, where I find lots of love and warm hugs. The house/room is sparkling clean. She has treats and coffee ready right in the room for you. The bathroom is amazingly clean and modern. Sit down, have some tea and talk to Jane. You won't regret it. It's the best part of my trip.

My 3 bedroom house is spacious, comfortable, quiet & close to Belfast. You will be warmly welcomed to my home & will have use of the living room, kitchen facilities, bathroom & large garden. The room is suitable for 1 or 2 people (double bed). Bed linen/towels included. Small complimentary breakfast is provided. House is not baby proof. ATTENTION, I'm having a driveway built during Aug/Sept. This should not impact the comfort of your stay although the front of the house may appear untidy.
Double bedroom with double bed, suitable for one person or a couple. Linen and towel(s) included. Access to a shared contemporary bathroom with large bath and shower. Instant hot water and heat. Use of living room (TV/DVD etc), kitchen and garden.
I live in Glengormley which is located in the suburbs of North Belfast. My house is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac and close to local amenities. Restaurants, banks, pubs, Tesco supermarket, transport links, petrol station, coffee shops, cinema, ten pin bowling etc are all minutes away on foot. I also live by the main motorway into Belfast and close to bus stops that go to Belfast regularly. Motorway takes 15 mins off peak to the centre of Belfast and 30 mins peak time (8am-9am and 5pm-6pm). Bus routes take 20 mins off peak and 30 mins peak times (pl note buses on Sundays and Bank holidays are reduced). Local taxis and Urber are also available. Glengormley is a 60 minute drive from the infamous Causeway Coast that includes Giants Causeway, the Rope Bridge, the Dark Hedges, clean and beautiful beaches and locations used for Game of Thrones HBO drama series. I can also advise on local transport that travels to these locations. Aside from Belfast, located close by are the towns of Antrim and Carrickfergus which have historic buildings and a rich heritage. A 5 min drive away is Belfast Castle and the Cave Hill which gives stunning views of Belfast; if you don't mind a short hike. Belfast Zoo is within walking distance. My home is also close to local parks and green walkways. I am also central to local sporting facilities. Glengormley is situated between both Belfast International Airport (Aldergrove) and George Best City Airport. Each takes 15 mins to reach my home. By private arrangement I can collect guests from the airport as well as the train station or bus station within the Belfast area. I can also advise of transport links to my home. Any questions please ask!

  • Fabulous apartment in a great location with an absolutely lovely host in Maxine. Would highly recommend staying here, we shall be back without a doubt!

    Donna2019-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • This accommodation is outstanding, just as it appears in the photos but still manages to exceed expectations once you're there. The views over Belfast Lough were amazing, and being able to sit looking over the busy waterway was fabulous. Maxine is a wonderful host, she really knows how to present her property and meeting Maxine was a delight. Wonderful suggestions on getting around, shopping and eating in Carrickfergus. Clearly an experienced host, and we highly recommend. Would love to return.

  • Carrickfergus is easily accessible to central Belfast by bus and train, so leave your car at Ahoy 3. Carrickfergus itself is very much worth exploring particularly the Castle. The apartment is extremely comfortable with a fantastic view from the living area across the Marine Park to Belfast Lough. Local cafes, shops and pub are just doors away. Maxine is a great host, meeting with us and showing us the place as well as giving us some tips about our few days in Belfast.

  • It was a nice property and Maxine was a great host!!

    Shubham2017-08-29T00:00:00Z

    Diane2017-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here for a couple of days at the end of our holiday and wished we could have stayed longer. The flat was warm, cosy and very clean and tidy. We had spent a lot of our time in Ireland in the car travelling to visit family and tourist attractions so it was very welcome to stay in the heart of Carrickfergus where local amenities were close enough to walk to. Maxine was very welcoming, kind and eager to ensure we had everything we needed.

Clean, fresh, spacious, comfortable double room just 1/2 a mile from the train station and less than a mile to the coast and famous Carrickfergus castle, beautiful marina and quaint town centre. I have been an Airbnb host since early May 2018 and pleased that I have had very good feedback from my guests. I am confident you will have an enjoyable, relaxed stay and certainly a warm welcome. I do not provide breakfast, however you are welcome to help yourself to toast or cereal if you so wish.
Very quiet area with distant sea views from the garden
  • Deborah is a true modern host, a blend of traditional Irish discrete hospitality with tactful exuberance, making any expatriates feel homey. If you are a little bit like Deborah, modern, a wee bit exuberant, kind to others, passionate about Goa, chance a night there, she’s good craic believe me... This is the main Double Room in my home. The room contains a large Double Bed, plenty of space and views to the front and the back of the house. There are 2 central heating radiators. The house is shared with another smaller Airbnb double room which is my other listing. There is secure off street parking at the front of the house.
This room is in a owner part-occupied home. The room is clean, bright and spacious enough for a lage Double Bed. The house is compact, with a good size living room, kitchen and shower/bathroom. Guests have access to all parts of the house and facilities. There's an enclosed front and rear garden, which you can also make use of on a sunny day.
