  • A wonderful place to stay in a great location. Perfect if you are thinking of exploring and want a central base. Fantastic host who made us feel so welcome throughout our whole stay. Our children all loved feeding the animals and still talk about that. A lovely cottage and one that I would certainly stay in again .

  • Lovely place & host. I would highly recommend a visit.

    Debbie2019-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • Isabella goes out of her way to make you feel welcome. She brought us milk so we didn't need to go to town; had tea and cake ready for when we came in; and she let my teens accompany her around the farm to see (and feed!) all of the animals. My daughter considers bottle-feeding the lamb to be the top of her vacation memories. It's tough to impress a teenage girl -- thank you, Isabella!

  • Great place to stay in the countryside we all loved it

    Julian2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • What a hidden gem. A nice quiet location. Perfect for recharging the batteries. An open fire which was lit upon arrival, you just can’t get a better host than that. The walks on site where easily navigated and the scenery utterly breath taking. My husband and I enjoyed our weekend, the cottage felt like a home rather than a show house. The bbq was a fabulous touch which we made use of. Contact with the host was great, timely responses and thoughtful touches. Can’t wait to go back!

  • An incredible cozy house with direct access to the country side of county Tyrone. We loved the horse outside the house who always greeted us when returning from our day trips. A lot to see in the surroundings if interested in history from ancient to modern times. We appreciated the personality of the house. Felt like a real home where you could lean back after a day out touristing. We had a swell time and highly recommend the cottage and Peter as host.

Located in the rugged, rural, lesser spotted Sperrins. An ideal location for people to discover the Ireland of ancient and old from possibly the most central location in the North of Ireland. The Wildlife and Flora are spectacular and flourishing, with no light pollution and the absence of intense farming. Ramblers, Cyclists, Nature Lovers, Bird Watchers, aspiring Photographers, Star Gazers and those that love to tour and sight see into the unknown will love our space and place.
Our family home is the first new home to be built in the valley of Coneyglen in the Sperrins in over 100 years, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty [AONB] in the remote Sperrin Mountains in the Ancient Heart of Ulster. Our farm home featured in the popular TV documentary 'Lesser Spotted Journeys' hosted by Jo Mahon in the Autumn of 2017. This area carries the roots and embodiment of Ireland's most ancient times from aeons ago, rediscovered only in the 1930's and 40's for its Ancient Beaghmore Stone Circles, the Ogham Stone, Dun Ruadh [the Red Fort] and many treasure's, it is a hidden undiscovered Tara for sure. Davagh Forest Mountain Bike Trails are 5 miles away and we are awaiting the new and exciting building of the Mid Ulster Dark Sky Observatory next year. I am an Award Winning Therapist with extensive experience in the Beauty and Holistic fields [Aromatherapist, Reflexologist, and Colour therapist....] and have a keen interest in nature, walking and the ancient history of the Celtic people. I live with my husband Shaun and our 3 children. This space and place is so unique and special in my heart it would take a book and not a paragraph to express it. We are blessed to be part of it and look forward to sharing our special part of the World with fellow travellers.
A true thriving nature reserve in the setting of the Ancient Heart of Ulster. The river runs in the Centre of the glen below in search of the sea, the birds sing and the peaceful ambience captures your attention. Coneyglen is steeped in history, folklore, fairylore and a timeless ambience - where time has stood still.
  • When travelling, on the first one or two days, I always try to find myself a place to be at ease, to leave home behind for a while and get ready for something different. Kerry’s place was precisely that, couldn’t have wished a more welcoming host. They live amidst of the beautiful Sperrins mountains and are very proud of that as well. While I cycled up to their place via one beatiful road, Kerry drove me up and down the even more scenic one the day after, including a stopover at the Beaghmore megalithic complex. Always great to bump into such genuine people. A truely nice way to start a holiday!

    Caroline2019-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • High in the Sperrin Mountain with outstanding views surrounded by sheep, what more can you ask for. Lovely family who are very accommodating. The house and room are lovely and peaceful. This was a wonderful spot for me on this journey.

    Geraldine2019-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • Outstanding hospitality, cozy setting, and amazing people. Kerry’s place is a wonderful place to stay to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The property is secluded and peaceful. The whole area is quaint and relaxing. There is plenty of sightseeing nearby, and this place is in the perfect spot to make a couple day trips from. At Kerry’s, you’ll experience a delicious hearty breakfast to start your day amidst the beautiful lands of Northern Ireland. The guest room is clean, located in its own corner of the house and has its own restroom. I’ll definitely be back again someday!

    Bobby2019-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fabulous stay at Kerry's. I stayed with two friends for 3 nights and we were looked after so well. The room is lovely, light and cosy. The beds are very comfortable we slept almost too well! There is a lovely en-suite with a shower and plenty of towels. It's really nicely decorated and has lovely little touches with a kettle, tea, coffee, biscuits and water in the room. Breakfast everyday was delicious and set us up for the day one day we didn't actually need to eat again until dinner time! Kerry put on a cooked breakfast, fresh fruit, toast, croissants and cereals. The house is set in an area of outstandingly beautiful scenery. We did a mixture of things from a trip to the North Coast to local activities and walks around the Glen. There's a wonderful history of the area and Kerry and the family are happy to share stories. We would love to return again and would highly recommend this place and the lovely family!

    Rebecca2019-05-25T00:00:00Z
  • Very pleasant rural retreat. Wonderful hospitality! Kerry greeted us with tea and scones at check in and provided a phenomenal full breakfast in the morning. Remote landscape was beautiful and allowed us to enjoy the starry night. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. Would highly recommend!

  • Stayed with family visiting nearby, perfect base, clean property and lots of useful information provided. Lovely house with great views.

  • A really lovely home that feels like you're in the middle of nowhere (even though there's a corner shop in walking distance and Omagh is only a few miles up the road) and the views are beautiful. Perfect for a relaxing break with our young children and little dog, they all had a safe space to run around outside - rain or shine!

    Alison2019-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage is beautiful and in a beautiful location. We watched sunsets every night from the front steps. The hosts are fantastic, and were super responsive to anything. They left some personal touches and all instructions for check in, check out, and using the house were clear and helpful. Everything is as advertised and we highly recommend a visit to this cottage!

  • Cobblers Cottage was perfect for my family and I. It was small, but very well equipped and although it is a traditional cottage it incorporates many very modern features. The location, close to Omagh, was great too and very convenient as we were travelling in and out of Omagh constantly. Outside there is a lovely spacious area for kids to play with lovely views of the moors. We had a very comfortable stay and Margaret was very helpful at every stage.

  • Cobbler's Cottage is a truly charming 200 year of cottage in beautiful quiet country, perfect for doing the tourist spots - Giants Causeway, Mount Stewart House and Mountains of Mourne. Margaret is the perfect host, and is happy to chat about the history of the cottage and lots of information on local spots of interest. We enjoyed our stayand would love to reurn one day.

    Chris2017-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great weekend. Our kids loved the cottage so much in that they did not want to leave. Lovely peaceful place just of the main road so no worries with your kids out in the garden. Would stay there again.

  • Margaret is very nice and accommodating. She as great communication. The cottage is very cute and has a fantastic view. Cottage is exactly as described and pictured on airbnb. Great place to stay!

  • Cobblers Cottage is absolutely blissful. I wanted to go somewhere traditional where my family could bring our two dogs; a boxer and a German Shepard and the outdoor facilities were absolutely perfect for them and us also! We had a fab time playing basketball, football, running in the garden and playing on the swing in the afternoons before settling down for the evening in front of the log burner in the living area. The cottage was cosy and very clean with lovely homemade bread, tea, coffee, butter, jam and goodies sitting waiting for us on arrival. The cottage is only a 30 minute drive from the Folk museum and surrounded by loads of walks which was great for us. Could not recommend Margaret and Eamon's cottage enough. They were in touch anytime we needed anything and were very helpful during the lead up to our stay also. I will definitely be back!

    Shona2016-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing Irish cottage! My wife and 18 month old son had a fantastic stay and Margaret made us feel extremely welcome. There was a great fenced area for our boy to play in which was surrounded by cows (which he loved). We were very close to some great sights and had a very relaxing time. Would go back in a heart beat and wish we could have spent more time at the cottage. Thanks again Margaret! Also, thanks for the bread and beers on arrival, so good.

This is a quiet area , but accessible to a small village with all amenities ,including a restaurant , pubs , coffee shop and a children's play area.
  • We were welcomed by Kieran and Sheena, a lovely couple who gave us nice tips about the area, a genuine northern irish stay which we much prefer to impersonal homes. The house is well decorated in a very vintage style and it made us feel very homey. The hosts had left us bread, fruits, juice and we felt very cosy in a warm house as winter comes. You wake up surrounded by Kieran’s sheep and welcome was just outstanding. Views magnificent. We will remember our stay. Highly recommended!

    Karim2019-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Sheena's place, it has everything you need, lots of space and a lovely view across the valley. Don't expect everything to be shiney and new but you will get a very comfy beds, peace & quiet and a warm welcome from your Host. Highly recommended. Thank you Sheena.

The Bothy is a beautifully converted and newly refurbished traditional stone barn providing luxurious self-catering accommodation in the small hamlet of Rousky in the heart of the beautiful Sperrin Mountains.
  • Upon arrival we were met by a smiling Bernadette who proudly showed us around the beautiful converted barn! What a showplace it is! Spacious rooms with comfortable furniture, every thing we needed for a short visit to northern Ireland! From a beautiful welcome basket filled with goodies such as bread, jam, butter, milk, tea and coffee, a much needed washer and dryer for our by then well traveled clothes, comfortable beds and the best in my mind heated floors!!! Bernadettes husband came over and lit a peat fire for us that evening in the more than impressive huge brick fireplace, both were very gracious and friendly hosts! The location is perfect for touring around northern Ireland, being about a hour and a half to the giants causeway and all the other great scenic locations. Not too far away is a small grocery store that carries all the essentials and has a post office for those postcards! The view from the back sitting room is amazing, hills and sheep grazing! Enjoying coffee there on our final morning we were surprised when it started snowing, we were able to enjoy watching the snow storm roll in covering the hills with a blanket of white! All in all a wonderful place to stay!!

    Margaret2019-12-14T00:00:00Z
  • The Bothy is a beautiful, warm place and was beyond our expectations. It felt like home and we didn’t want to leave. Bernadette and Charlie were wonderful hosts.

  • Absolutely gorgeous cottage in a stunning location. We used it as a base for a few days on the mountain bike trails in the area- perfect place to come home to after a tiring day! And the fresh eggs were delicious!

  • The Bothy cottage was wonderful. It was very comfortable and full of charm.  We wish we could have stayed longer. The cottage fit our group of 6 adults and 1 young children great. Bernadette and her housband were wonderful!  This place is stunning! Words cannot describe the fantastic sensations... The fireplace is great, so warm and cozy. They even have heaters under the floors!  The view from the backyard is like a painting. We really could not have asked for a better stay in the northern Irish countryside. The kitchen is so well equipped...for a     special stay!  A legendary  place ....If you are looking for an incredible accomodation....this is your destination!! Grazie Bernadette e Charlie!
