Places to stay in Greenbushes

Places to stay in Greenbushes
This little self-contained cottage is situated on 17 acres just south of Bridgetown, an historic town in Australia’s renowned Southwest region. Our place is secluded and tranquil, ideal for anyone local or regional looking for a spot to isolate and relax. We've reduced our rates to encourage those in the Southwest to take advantage and enjoy a staycation at the edge of the State Forest. We are an easy 5-minute drive to town for supplies and have fast wifi available.
This charmingly renovated cottage is comfortable, clean and cosy. It is generously sized, featuring light and airy open plan living that includes a bedroom partition, living area, and fully equipped kitchenette with stove, fridge and microwave. There is a separate bathroom with toilet and shower. To ensure you are comfortable, the cottage has both a wood fire and reverse cycle air conditioner for those cold ‘Fridgetown’ nights or hot summer evenings. The cottage has private access and parking and is separate from the main homestead. Access is via a short path that has some stairs (an alternate route can be arranged if stairs are a problem). Outdoors there is a small paved courtyard to soak up the sun, and a shady table amongst the trees for al fresco dining. This is also a wonderful spot to do some bird watching. There is no TV, but we do have board games, books, and the great outdoors. Free Wi-Fi is also included if you need to look up the birds or trees or do some work. Although the cottage is designed for couples, we can accommodate up to 3 if someone is willing to take the floor mattress (but do keep in mind that it is a studio space, with only a partition between rooms).
We are situated a short 5-minute drive south of Bridgetown on the border of a State Forest. You are welcome to explore the paddocks and the bush trails behind the house to your heart’s content (just make sure to close any gates you go through). And of course, use this as a base to visit Bridgetown and surrounding towns. The Warren-Blackwood region is known for its produce and wine, so you can get a personal tour at one of the local cellar doors, visit the truffle farms of Manjimup, or pop in for a homemade pie at Tasty Edibles in Greenbushes. Bridgetown itself is situated on the banks of the Blackwood River and there’s plenty of kayaking, hiking and cycling for outdoors enthusiasts. The Shire is also full of artists and creatives so if that’s more your thing, we recommend a visit to The Rabbit Hole which houses 9 artists’ studios and hosts ongoing exhibitions. Check out our guestbook on arrival for more details on things to do and let us know if you need any specific information.

It is next to the main house but there is plenty of privacy. Communication with Louise was really smooth and friendly. Spacious and charmingly furnished French Provincial inspired fully self-contained cottage and gardens on Brookvale House Balingup. The only sounds you will hear are from birds in the property's gardens - blue wrens, magpies, western honey eaters and silver eyes just four of some 60 species.

  • Thankyou so much for accommodating us even though there was a mishap of communication- and our booking got cancelled by mistake- We have stayed at air bnb all over the world as we travel a lot but No where have we seen such hospitality and humbleness- Even though we never wait to give feedback this time I called air bnb support to make sure they let us 🤗 So we could let people know that couples like Louise and he husband still Exist for whom kindness matters With a cancelled booking they accommodated us the next night upon our request without any extra charge ; offered us a late check out by themselves as we had been driving for 8 hours ; Left the fan and music open for us when we arrived and came out personally to greet us even though we got there late night - The house was beautiful with thought flu touches and a warm feeling; The fireplace was perfect and by far it was the MOST comfortable bed we have ever slept in- I do wanted to ask where they got the electric blankets- Me and my husband can’t recommend this place and this couple enough- Thankyou for being the most wonderful hosts on air bnb 😍😍😍 Not 5 but 10 ⭐️ stars 😊

Peaceful walks along the river, Abundance of native birds, Friendly Alpacas .Local winery's.

  • Mark's place was spacious, comfortable and peaceful. It was lovely sitting out on the deck and all rooms were large and nicely renovated. Mark was easy to communicate with and always replied immediately to our queries.

    Lani2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful place this was! A short break and then staying in this chalet is highly recommended. stylish apartment with everything on it. relax in the jacuzzi while the kangaroos and alpacas pass by. used the barbecue on the last evening, delicious! We both had no reach with our telephone. which on the one hand was wonderfully quiet, the only thing is, if you have to contact someone, for example the owner of the chalet urgently you had to drive 15 minutes to the village to receive internet and mobile network ... but this is a small detail. We will definitely go back!

    Cenza2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely peaceful location. We listened to the birds and watched the alpacas wander around of a morning. Found the trivial pursuit in the cupboard and had an epic game!

    Lucinda2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • We ventured to this little stay and loved it. The chalet had a very homely vibe and was very accommodating for our 6 month old who was interested in the scenery and wildlife whilst spending the evenings on the balcony Would attend this stay again and would highly recommend

    Scott2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a really beautiful time at the chalet. The birds and wildlife in the area were gorgeous, and the resident alpacas were adorable! The space is stunning and comfortable. Disappointed we couldn't use the deck spa, which was one of the key drawcards of the place, because it was heavily over-chlorinated. However still had a really pleasant stay.

    Luke2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Palm Chalet was the perfect getaway - we had quiet nights in with the fireplace going and a warm spa.

    Kelly2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • It was simply amazing. The location was serene and beautiful. When it came to the house itself, it was sparkling clean. It had all the necessary utensils and kitchen appliances..We enjoyed the jacuzzi over looking a gorgeous scenery. Although there was no cellular access, there were board games and the drawers were filled with DVD’s that the children could enjoy .. The beds were just huge and super comfortable.. it had everything we needed to make our Christmas relaxing and wonderful.. Mark was very prompt with his replies and very informative as well..Looking forward to our next stay again.. 5 Stars..!

    Gérard2019-12-26T00:00:00Z

In fact it was so lovely, we both struggled to leave every day for the Blues Festival which was the reason we name to Bridgetown in the first place. A truly wonderful stay.

  • Nice property and clean. Make sure you take DVDs if you go as tv doesn't work but that's perfectly fine. No aircon or heating which didn't affect us - but if it was any warmer we would have been a tad uncomfortable! Beautiful location and highly recommended. Great communication from host

Immerse yourself within the surroundings, as you experience the peaceful tranquility of Persian Silk Pavilion. Tucked into the hillside overlooking the unspoilt valley of Balingup Brook, our luxurious chalet is where dreams do come true.
Unique in every way, Persian Silk Pavilion is no ordinary chalet. With fittings and furnishings you will find nowhere else, little surprises await you at every corner! There is an artistic "quirkiness" that is sure to delight you. The stunning views from all of the rooms change with each season's passing. Offering you the opportunity to settle your thoughts and feelings, find yourself waking to the sound of birds, watch the moon's rising from our veranda or wake to the sun's first rays streaming over the distant hills... be awed when the mists flow into the valley below... walk amongst our majestic redgum trees. This could be the space for contemplation and reflection either by yourself or with another. Discover your own secrets. IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO STAY at the Pavilion ALL BY YOURSELF, you are most welcome here as well. The rate for solo travelers is $120 per NIGHT. However, for this reduced rate to apply for solo travelers only, there is a 3 NIGHT MINIMUM STAY REQUIREMENT. Please contact me first for further details before making the booking so I can adjust the rates accordingly.
We are an hour's drive from the magnificent world class wineries and coastline of Margaret River and Yallingup. Collie is only an hour's drive east, through the beautiful scenic Fergurson Valley. And on the way back here, perhaps stop at the Mumballup Tavern. Bridgetown is only twenty minutes from here. Truffles can be found a little further south at Manjimup. And still only a little further away, all within a day's drive, are the unspoilt giant karri forests and the wild south coast where the Southern Ocean meets land.
  • Mac’s place is just magic! The architecture is nothing I have ever seen before. The private sanctuary is nestled amongst the trees. Bliss. We will definitely return!

    Kayla2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • This little gem is exquisitely amazing. We stayed 2 nights and had such a lovely calming relaxing moments we wished we had booked for more days. It is so peaceful. Everything about that place is magical. My eyes kept admiring all the artistic creations. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to cook. Eating on the patio underneath the trees was beautiful. Using the japanese style washlet was interesting. We will surely be coming back.

    Marie-Michelle2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Such a beautifully appointed space. True peace and artistry on display which make you feel a part of the stunning location. Wonderful, warn hosts who always make the stay a special one.

    David2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • As I write this review, I must grapple with the fact that once a prospective guest reads it, they will excitedly book their stay. Thus reducing the availability of the Pavilion and serving only as a detriment to my selfish desire to keep this hidden gem all to myself! Alas I could not do such a devilishly selfish deed because the hosts, John and Caroline, are such beautiful humans~ This AirBnB was nothing short of amazing! I have seldom felt more relaxed, at ease and comfortable in my life! The Pavilion exudes the shining positivity of its creators/owners ~ Do yourself a favour and book this place! There are several very good reasons why this listing is flowing with 5 star reviews and repeat guests. So shouldn't you book it and see what all the fuss is about? *I think you should ;) If you are not completely convinced yet; - amazing location - excellent amnenities - FANTASTIC kitchen - ecclectic record collection - beautiful warm shower - thoughtful touchs abound - compassionate hosts Still not convinced?!? Well good then! ... Fine! More for me! :D

  • Outstanding place, didn’t budge for the whole weekend, just stayed in and enjoyed this exceptional space.

    Michael2019-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • I came to Balingup just so I could stay in the Persian Silk Pavilion. I was in need of a few days complete R&R and this looked like the place to do it. The Pavilion exceeded even my very high expectations! Such a beautiful space in glorious surroundings. And John and Caroline were wonderful hosts, making sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed (and more from the garden). It was hard to leave the grounds, but I did want to explore some of the walks in the area. However, the afternoons found me completely relaxed in the hammock soaking up the sounds of the country - I could make out at least 6 different birds, plus cicadas, cows, and the trees rustling in the light breeze.

    Lesley2019-11-26T00:00:00Z
  • This accommodation is not like any other I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing. There are artworks and books everywhere, perfect little spaces to curl up and read, especially on the mezzanine on a giant beanbag. Every window has a peaceful view of tall trees, ground covers, flowers, fruit trees, a valley, garden statues of goddesses, and quirky garden ornaments such as giant bells made from recycled materials such as gas cylinders. When you are laying in bed or in the shower, you have uninterrupted views of the surrounding Balingup greenery yet complete privacy. There is a little unexpected area down from the house by a storage area where you can sit and have a quiet coffee at a little hidden away table with nothing to see but the under-storey of trees and the sounds of sheep. I loved how the windows of the property were at unexpected off-centre angles. It was lovely to lay in the hammock and read. Even with two of us in the hammock it was comfortable. The kitchen was equipped with a top of the range oven with 6 burners. The microwave was also a convection oven and there was a good quality clean BBQ with a nice verandah area to eat outside. There were lots of vinyl records and a record player, many CDs to suit all tastes - everything from Nick Cave to the Cirque du Soleil soundtrack. One of the highlights of staying here was getting to see a little quenda at dusk, shuffling around the cottage. Another unique feature of the cottage is the unusual lighting such as a dress hanging from the high ceiling which can be lit up at night with sparkling lights which cast very interesting shadows on the walls. There also is a little string of cubes hanging from the ceiling which light up. There is even fairy lighting around the bed frame! We look forward to coming back when the weather is cold to experience turning on the fire and getting cosy. Thank you John and Caroline for being such fantastic hosts.

  • What a delightful hide away. Situated on the edge of a sloping block with vistas across the valley, Mac's place is a gem. Everywhere you look in the pavilion, there is craftsmanship and attention to detail. Waking each morning with the view of the garden and the sound of the waterfall was hard to leave after four days.

  • Christine and Ron were very welcoming and friendly. They have a lovely property and can't do enough to help you. They were more than happy to give us a tour of the property and farm and we got to feed the alpacas, Lucy the lamb and the chickens. Highly recommended for a weekend getaway or longer!

    Alessandro2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • This was a fantastic place to stay with kids - loads of room, cozy fire and plenty of open space for the kids to explore. My boys loved feeding Lucy the lamb and the other animals. The property is secluded which we loved, but everything we needed was a short drive away. I would recommended this to anyone who wants a break from city life.

It has been very refreshing staying on somebody’s property, with the hosts being so laidback, which has made the stay for our young family with two dogs and two young kids very enjoyable.

  • Sietske is a warm enthusiastic and welcoming host. Her 100 acre property is stunning and as a landscape artist I very much appreciated the scenery and painted a picture late afternoon. The whole place surrounds you with calmness majestic views and a space to totally relax! The experience was brilliant. Thanks Sietske.

  • The house is on a farm south of Bridgetown, the original Australian farm, the landlord and her friends are very nice, taking me to experience feeding the horses and watching the wild kangaroos. It is worthwhile! If you want to experience pure Australian farm life, it is recommended to come here.

  • I was upgraded to a self contained cottage. I went to sleep every night looking out through this huge window and all I saw was millions of stars. In the morning I would make breakfast and go and eat it outside whilst sitting on a log. My view was green hills, horses and sheep. There was beautiful Border Collie dog next door and every day he and I would walk around the property. Limited wifi, phone etc, but this is what makes this place so lovely. You can go and walk all the trails, count all the birds, walk in the river, read books, play games, or just talk with your family. Bridgetown is only 10 minutes away so you can go and have a lovely meal at one of the pubs or cafe.

    Mike2019-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely farm out in the country. I arrived late and left early so did not get to spend much time there. Sietske greeted me with a delicious hot coffee and is a wonderful host. She had much insight on where to go and knew the area very well.

  • The homestay was just beautiful, comfortable and memorable. We had the best time since we were staying in hotels in South WA, we had limitation in regards to music elsewhere, but not here. Also, all amenities were well provided. Will definitely recommend this warm stay who would like to have a country side feel. Kitchen is well furnished. Beautiful location with amazing scenic view. • We enjoyed staying at Joel’s place very much. We felt very welcomed and comfortable staying in his home and his hospitality was exceptional. Great care has been taken to provide a lovely place to stay. Both inside the home and the outstanding views provide a great place to experience the SW of Australia. I hope we will be back again.

    Kathie2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • This is by far the best Airbnb experience we had. It was a Joyful 3 hours drive from the Perth Airport to the property, the place is super easy to find. Joel and Brigitte were there at the gate to welcome us. My wife and I were so happy with everything, (the view, wildlife, the bush walk, the bbq, the sunset, the stars, the comfy bed, the sparkling clean kitchen and living room etc) , it was indeed like a dreams come true. Joel and Brigitte were very thoughtful, they take care of everything when you need any help, It seems nothing is too troublesome for them. They are normally doing some work in the bush during the day and you can enjoy a good dinner and wine with them at night if you want to. We hope to see Joel and Brigitte again. Highly recommended!

    Jeffrey2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • What to say... this place is breathtaking! Really special location with beautiful views and wildlife and a beautiful house. Joel and Bridget are wonderful hosts. They go above and beyond to take care of you on so many levels. We loved every minute of our stay. Thanks

    Laura2019-11-28T00:00:00Z
  • Our first Airbnb in Australia was simply amazing. Joel and Brigitte had so many wunderful local recommendations for us which made our stay much more enjoyable. The view from the house is just stunning. You could not find a better place to see and listen to wildlife while having the perfect sunset in Western Australia!

    Caroline2019-11-14T00:00:00Z
  • Of the many B&B’s in several countries my wife and I have stayed at over the years, this was outstanding. Set deep in the bush, surrounded by forest, and remote from any other habitation, it sits in a beautiful setting. The house is lovely and immaculately kept, the facilities are excellent, the bed very comfortable, and the view from the picture windows over the lake is spectacular. Native wildlife abounds, and emus and kangaroos graze daily on the grassland down to the lake. Joel and Brigitte are charming hosts, so friendly and welcoming. They were excellent company over a bottle of wine in the evening, and nothing seemed too much trouble for them. Our one regret was that we could only stay for two nights and were not able to explore the surrounding forests on foot as we would have wished. We whole-heartedly recommend Cundinup High Country to anyone, especially those who love being close to nature.

    Gordon2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Joel and Brigitte are the perfect hosts in the perfect location if you are seeking remote, quiet and natural with a front verandah view beyond description. We wanted quiet natural beauty and that is what we got.... No hesitation in recommending a night or two to couples who want to hear silence again. As you travel the narrow bush track to arrive you feel the ambience grow.

    Andrew2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • Joel is an incredibly thoughtful host who's home is sparkling clean and very comfortable. The views are extraordinary and the beautiful nature-based location is very peaceful with kangaroos & emus happily grazing. I highly recommend staying here.

For the true outdoorsy activity types, there is golf, tennis, squash, mountain bike trails, 4x4 trails, horse-riding trails, forest trails, and all the other trails we probably can't think of! (Did we mention the Tegwans Treasure Trail???)
  • The place is better in real life than the photos! Think rustic country getaway with huge kitchen and living space for big dinners and lots of laughs with friends. Balcony was huge and stars were the brightest I’ve ever seen!

  • Such an authentic experience and the views were amazing!!! So peaceful.

    Tabitha2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • The house is beautifully equipped and very clean. There's a wonderful outlook over the valley and the location is ideal for exploring the best of the area including Nannup, Manjimup and Bridgetown.

  • What an amazing stay at Tegwan’s Nest! I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to visit the area, this place does not disappoint on any level. They have absolutely everything you could need, the amenities are amazing, they had children’s toys/high chair, board games, plenty of seating indoors and outside, and lots of information on the local areas. The gorgeous views and the ability to feed the Alpacas really made our stay!!

    Marie2020-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • Tegwans Nest offers a superb home that you have all to yourself, in beautiful eco-farm surrounds. The caretaker lives in a house 300m away, if you need anything, but self-check in and privacy are also given. The alpacas and sheep are there to say hullo to from a distance, or with the caretaker, feeding can be arranged for the little ones. The house itself is modern, fresh, well designed and positioned on the block so as to offer gorgeous views and a fresh flow of energy every day. Immaculate inside with a chef's kitchen, gorgoeus lounge, balcony furniture and super comfortable and luxurious beds. Sustainable, eco-farming values and socially responsible ethics are reflected in an inobtrusive but easily accessible recycling station in the expansive walk-in pantry. Chocolates, fresh flowers and quality linen are also welcome special touches, along with a thoughtfully convened selection of essential pantry items (including plunger coffee, tea, lentils, crushed himalayan salt and all the freshly grounded spices needed for a hearty meal). We were looking for a quiet time and privacy and the hosts were so generous in meeting us there. Be back for sure.

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property. The house was lovely, well organised and fully equipped with everything we could want as a family. It was the perfect place to relax, especially out on the verandah enjoying the stunning views. A short drive into town, it was a great spot to explore the area from. Bernadine and Stuart were extremely friendly and thoughtful hosts, we look forward to visiting again in the future.

  • Such a special town, Tegwan’s Nest. Is a perfect base to explore the region and a great experience with the children. Look forward to coming back soon!!

  • We so enjoyed being in this house. It is beautifully relaxing and spacious; very well set out; and instructions for the amenities (eg. washing machine, recycling) were clearly displayed without being intrusive. And the bliss of comfortable beds and great air conditioning!

  • What an amazing little slice of country side! Gorgeous little rustic cabin that had us very relaxed. With no tv or phone reception it made for a great weekend of being unplugged. Our choc lab Charlie enjoyed the other animals and fresh country air too. Roaring fire with a glass of red and a good book. Perfect. Thanks again Jayne.

  • This is a great location to visit in a valley between two hills surrounded by superb countryside . The cottage is authentically accurate in its description and the host Jayne is friendly and engaging without being invasive. The charm is further enhanced with the a wood burner in the cottage which creates a lovely warm ambience. Would definitely visit again.

All our cottages are set up as a Couples Retreat, decorated with light colours that complement the farm experience. Calming and restfull peace and quiet. Nestled in a lovely spot and the forest conservation zone that offers space to ride bikes or take a walk. Close enough to town to enjoy the local events but far enough away to lap up the ambiance of farm.
The sounds of the many birds around the area add to the peaceful surroundings. For bird and animal lovers the surrounding farming area offers new borns playing in the feilds, with alpacas resting in the sunshine, life a plenty to take your mind off the hustle and bustle of city life.
The quiet suurounds adds to the peaceful life style we have living on the farm. Occassionally farm activities take up time during the day only to be able to bask in the evening lights, especially on a full moon when we have our very own "stairway to heaven"
  • Fantastic, expected a farm stay but this is so much more, spotlessly clean and comfortable accommodation with all amenities, Cockatoo Cottage is a home rather than accommodation. We were lucky enough to see the Wagtail chicks leave the nest on our veranda during our stay and the bird life around the cottage was just stunning. Unfortunate that we had a full moon but even so the night sky was amazing. Rob and Caroline were great hosts without being intrusive. Highly Recommended.

  • We were seeking refuge from busy city life so on a whim booked a weekend at Balingup Heights with the expectation of a cosy country cottage surrounded by trees. We weren’t disappointed! This cottage has spectacular morning views of the sunrise, we were surrounded by bird and farmlife and a cosy fireplace to keep us warm at night. The cottage is clean and well-equipped and even though it’s quiet and isolated on the hill, town is a mere 5 minutes drive away. Deb & Brian helped us to book a massage and overall were super friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back!!

Cute country cottage in the beautiful South West town of Bridgetown. Walking distance to all amenities including the new swimming pool, fab river walk and an assortment of independent boutique shops.
Spacious home with everything you'd need for a relaxing break in summer or winter. Sit on the front deck with the most amazing views or chill on the back deck and enjoy the birdsong. Comes equipped with all you'd need to cook at home and room for two cars on the driveway off the road. The cottage can be comfortable all year with a cosy slow combustion wood fire and r/c aircon ‘ . Just a short walk takes you into the hub of Bridgetown . Not suitable for children under 5 ..... the wood fire and stone steps to the rear deck would be dangerous for very young children .
Walking distance to the centre of Bridgetown and the Blackwood river

Hidden away behind state forest one kilometre from the town centre of Balingup, Myrtlemae Farm is a 24-acre property that features meandering gardens and stunning views over-looking the Blackwood River Valley. The cottage, separate from the main house, is a former stables that has been meticulously re-purposed and now features a mix of mid-century Australian furniture, vintage homewares and modern furnishings, services (think comfy beds and a good shower) and appliances.
‘Rustic’ is certainly a word you could use to describe Myrtlemae Cottage. It is also ‘cosy’, ‘charming’ and ‘comfy’. We think the cottage started life as a stables come work shed. Since then it has been through a few changes including the addition of flagstone floors using bricks rescued from the old Balingup Hotel. Over the last few years the cottage has been meticulously re-purposed. The interior living space is essentially one large room split over two levels. The upper level features a queen and two king single beds. On the lower level is the living area with lounge (which folds out to a double bed) and woodfire stove, dining area and kitchen. The new kitchen has a stainless-steel oven, gas cooktop and fridge along with a toaster. kettle, and Nespresso including tea and complimentary coffee pods. We have also included all the things you need to cook up a feast. Off the main space is a newly renovated bathroom that also has a washer/dryer combo. There is also access to south facing deck (perfect for sunsets). There’s no TV, but you can stare out the widescreen window and take in the nature channel all day and there is a host of books, games and puzzles to entertain - not forgetting all the things you can do on the property. Visit: www.myrtlemaefarm.com.au
Balingup. A small but vibrant village located 2 ½ hours from Perth halfway between Donnybrook and Bridgetown, Balingup sits amongst picturesque rolling hills in the Blackwood River Valley and is surrounded by vast expanses of native forest interspersed with orchards, vineyards and farmland.
  • Such a stylish yet rustic home in a beautiful setting. Waking up to horses on an expansive paddock was such a delight to the eyes. Comfy beds and great day lit shower space! Would highly recommend this listing for people looking to take it slow in a beautiful location.

Amazing that we could bring the dogs, however the property is not entirely fenced so depends how good your dogs are. Loved the little touches like the chocolates and port, would recommend staying here.

  • Oak Tree Barn is an amazing retreat to get away from it all, close to a nice walk along Blackwood River and into town. It's got a nice view of the valley on both sides with a little walk up the hill, and is well stocked with tea and coffee, it has a nice kitchen as well if you are up for cooking. Mike was a thoughtful host and quick to respond, even went to the trouble of leaving out a birthday card and bottle of wine for my fiance when he found out it was her birthday! Thanks Mike!

  • Deb and Brian's Blythe Cottage provided a blissful and relaxing experience. Their hospitality was well above average, the views were incredible (sunset photos are a must) and the quaint little cottage was unique in many ways. Definitely recommend ordering one of their hampers or bringing your own food supplies, as there is only one small convenience shop in the town. Also, don't forget to sample the various fresh produce around the town. Side note: a Margaret river day trip is easily achievable, being only an hour and 10 minute drive.

  • My husband and I spent 2 nights in this beautiful peaceful Chalet. We enjoyed the great view from our balcony to the beautiful raw nature, having some moment of harmony with this place. We could still see the outside while we were laying on our bed. Also, next to the bed, was this wide window with a beautiful view of a big colourful tree and it gave us this feeling that we were sleeping exactly under a nice tree! Also, the kitchen was well equipped, and we had breakfast twice on the balcony, and we enjoyed some fresh eggs that Julie and Dave gave them to us. Our place was perfectly clean and it was furnished in a stylish way. Our hosts put some chocolates for us on the bed for welcoming; also, there was a great range of coffees and teas to drink along with almond and soy milks in the fridge. Moreover, the bathroom was very convenient with a double sink, and shower was perfectly clean with nice hot water. Our hosts Julie and Dave, were very nice and friendly to us. Their attention to details was great. They are living there with some cute rescued animals in peace and harmony, full of love and happiness. We really enjoyed this trip, visiting beautiful Balingup and staying in this nice Chalet. Highly recommended!

  • We enjoyed a very relaxing post Christmas break and nothing was too much trouble for Julie and David and you would be hard pressed to find friendlier hosts. The rescued farm animal sanctuary was a bonus and a delight to experience. Would highly recommend to anyone thinking of staying in or around Balingup. We hope to visit again one day soon.

  • Fantastic property to escape to for the weekend. Drinking coffee on the veranda while watching the roos and the birds in the paddock below was a great way to spend the morning. Spent plenty of time on the water fishing and out on the kayak with perfect weather to match. Our dog had a great time going for walks on the propety, swimming in the dam or chasing the fox that come in to investigate the new people in the house. We will be back when its a bit colder so we can use the fire place.

  • A beautiful place to stay! Not sure who had more fun- the kids kayaking or the dog having a good swim. The kitchen was well equipped, the house was tidy and clean and all is set in a beautiful community with lots of delicious local produce- a nearby marron farm, a fresh veggie store and wineries.

  • This is our second time staying at the beautifully stunning Yonga Valley as we loved it so much the first time. Spent the week swimming in the dam, kayaking and walking in the forest with our dogs whilst watching the kangaroos, goannas and we even spotted wild pigs. Pure bliss! Highly recommend if you want to get back to nature.

  • You'll find Keith and Janet's cabin in the valley perfect for a couple's getaway and a great springboard to visit the lovely Bridgetown and beyond. Hospitality is A1 and the breakfast on the verandah a great way to start the day. We came in on a very hot day and while the cabin was warm by late afternoon you can open up and enjoy the Southerly breeze. Star gaze at night and sleep peacefully without a sound. Thanks Keith and Janet : ))

  • The studio is quiet and peaceful with a lovely outlook over the garden. Although small (it is after all a studio), everything was provided for a comfortable stay. We would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet comfortable stay within walking distance (30 mins) of the town centre.

The cabin is very well furnished with everything needed, offers beautiful views of the garden/valley and allows privacy from the main house. Keith & Janet were both very friendly and prepared a delicious breakfast we shared the morning while enjoying interesting conversation. I will book again with no hesitations.
