“Italy's 2nd oldest golf course, with a nice clubhouse and restaurant, 20 minutes drive from the property.”

“In the mountains above the town of Menaggio, at the foot of Monte Grona, is the Rifugio Menaggio, a place to eat, sleep, drink, relax, and recharge after a long hike. The Rifugio is not technically located in Menaggio, rather it is in the locality of Mason del Fedel in the municipality of Plesio. The Rifugio Menaggio offers some of the most unique and spectacular views of Lake Como. If you are and avid hiker visiting Menaggio and the sky is clear, you should not miss a hike up to this Rifugio.”

“One of the few mountain refuges that is reachable by car, the history of the site dates back to World War 1. You can still visit some of the old military constructions. The food is typical of the area and the views and atmosphere is good”

“Escursione panoramica. In auto, ti consiglio di raggiungere il Rifugio Boffalora (un rifugio raggiungibile salendo da Argegno, fino a Castiglione d’Intelvi e Pigra) e se troverai la barra sul sentiero aperta potrai proseguire fino all’Alpe di Lenno e al Rifugio Venini mt. 1576. Poi si prosegue a piedi.”

“Starting in Menaggio, we recommend the carriageway that goes up to Plesio and Breglia (785 mt.), where the panorama and the vegetation truly take your breath away thanks to its harmony and beauty, or up to the C.A.I. (Italian Alpine Club) shelter on Monte Grona at 1400 mt., a crossroads of paths going towards the Alto Lago (Upper Lake), the Valle Senagra (Senegra Valley) and the Cavargna valley.”
