And we love to share our beautiful state with international visitors!
We offer an inviting studio in a duplex cabin with complete kitchen, queen bed, bathroom with tub/shower, and fireplace. The cabin is divided into two private studio apartments, each with its own entrance. There are three cabins on our property. We live in the first cabin, so we can answer guests' questions and quickly attend to guests' needs.
The cabin is in Boulder Canyon, which is a magnificent natural attraction connecting the plains with the peaks of the Rockies. At the entrance to the canyon is a park featuring enormous red rocks tilted vertically with spectacular views of the Boulder Valley. The Boulder Creek Path, popular with cyclists and hikers, follows the creek for several miles in the canyon. A couple miles above our cabin is scenic Boulder Falls and the dramatic cliffs of The Narrows. Popular destinations for rock climbers are throughout the canyon.
  • What a great getaway from the city! Short drive outside Boulder easy to get to. Great instructions on how to get there. Very quick responses from the owners even last minute so kind and hospitable. Checkin and checkout was a breeze. The wood fireplace was a nice touch that made the cabin cozy. Bed was super comfortable I got great sleep. Everything was super clean and it went very well will be back again soon!

  • This was a fantastic stay in an absolutely beautiful cabin. We loved the location –– secluded, but still conveniently close to downtown Boulder! The cabin was filled with thoughtful touches that really made us feel welcome. Plus, Lupa the dog was the best possible way to be greeted upon arrival ;) The fireplace creates a super cozy atmosphere. Plus there's heating in the cabin and blankets if needed. We already want to come back! We were so impressed with the friendliness and thoughtfulness of our wonderful hosts and would recommend this spot to anyone headed to the Boulder area!

  • Had wonderful time at their beautiful cabin. Cynthia took the time to make us a welcome card and had a goody basket ready for us. Very beautiful location, we even got lucky and had fresh snow waiting for us on our first night.

    Gilberto2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is really cute and super cozy! The bed is firm but very comfortable. Little touches are great, fully stocked kitchen with really nice kitchenware and cooking utensils. Cynthia is a first class host with lots of great tips on places to go and things to see. Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway.

  • Cozy cabin, great people and awesome location just outside Boulder

    Devin2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • This was the best Airbnb I have been to! They were clean, friendly, accurate, and incredibly hospitable. The personal touches gave us a life long memory. We enjoyed our night relaxing by the fire. Can’t wait to return.

  • A beautiful cabin only a short drive from downtown Boulder. The hosts are friendly and the cabin was spotless. They included lots of memorable touches, like a basket of local Colorado treats. The fireplace is a great addition.

    Jake2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • A cozy little cabin nestled away in the mountains. For those looking for a spot to get away, this is a great choice. Enjoyed the evening with fresh snowfall and a crackling fire. Cynthia was a gracious host, offering a selection of Boulder-based treats and advice on where to continue exploring the mountains!

Gorgeous views on your own private level. Amazing deck overlooking Boulder. Steam Shower, Jet tub, private entrance, living room, fireplace, and more. Enjoy the sunny South facing deck year round. 10 minutes from North Boulder shops/trailheads, 18 minutes to Pearl Street/downtown Boulder. New 50" 4k TV
Beautiful mountain neighborhood with lots of trees, large lots and rolling dirt roads. The city view from here is amazing!
  • My husband and I love this place! It was perfect for us and our two dogs. The view is spectacular. The bathroom amenities were great. There isn't a kitchen, but the food in boulder is delicious. Very clean, a little noisy if the hosts have friends over (you are on the first floor which is private from the rest of the house), but quieted down at a reasonable hour and we slept wonderfully both nights we were there. Highly recommended if you have pets traveling with you and/or you want gorgeous mountain views in Boulder, CO. We will definitely book again!

    Olivia2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • I booked this place for the spacious jet tub, the steam shower, and the views, and I wasn't disappointed! The bath and shower were both to die for, and the views were out of this world. It's a bit out of the way, which was fine for me because I had no actual plans in Boulder proper. If you're coming in the winter, you'll definitely need 4WD, though, as it's very much off the beaten path. The host, Andy, was responsive; he also has a cute dog who lives upstairs and will probably greet you outside at some point. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a mountain escape.

    Natalie2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • This place is AMAZING!!!!! The pictures don’t do it justice!!!! The view is amazing! The location is perfect because it is up in the mountain but not a far drive from the city. Super recommend this place! Plus he has super cute dogs!

    Jesus2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Andy’s place was fantastic...felt very at home the whole time. Was very accommodating and quick to respond if there were issues, which there were not any. Highly suggest this place if you’re down for adventure and relaxation.

    Robert2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Lots of firsts in this trip for meeee! First time in Colorado first times seeing snow and first time solo trip! The view from this place is absolutely breathtaking! Laying in bed staring at the hills -awesome Taking a bath staring at the hills -amazing Watching fresh snow fall from the patio -amazing I can’t say enough good things. Andy provided lots of materials with this to do and where to go. I’ll always recommend this place!

    Frankie2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Unbelievable views! A perfect dog friendly stay just a ramble away from downtown Boulder. AWD or 4WD is mandatory in winter weather.

    Jacob2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome place! Beautiful view!

    Brenten2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Andy’s place! Talk about BEAUTIFUL views. The view of the city and the stars at night are breathtaking. It’s a bit of a rambling drive out of town, but it doesn’t take long and is so worth it for the privacy and views. We had an SUV and small 4x8 trailer behind us, but Andy gave us advice on where to turn around and park since the driveway was too steep for us. It’s hard to find places that can accommodate parking and our three pets, but we found that and more at Andy’s!

  • Adorable and just as described. The cabin was perfect for a relaxing retreat. Just the right size and very well appointed. Kitchen had just what I needed and the entire place was very clean. The scenery of trees is so peaceful to look at through the windows. I was there in winter and the cabin was very cozy.

  • An incredible cabin away from the troubles of the world. Where the babbling brook bubbles under the ice, the birds play in the snow, and the warmth of the cabin invites a sigh of relief from deep within. Thank you 🙏

  • We loved our stay at Creekside Cabin last weekend. We wanted a quiet, snowy getaway for my birthday and we got just that! Kay was great with communication, the cabin was well stocked with anything we needed and it was super clean. The creek is so peaceful and right there on the property. Also, quick easy drive into Boulder. Next time we plan on making it more into the little Jamestown area! Thanks Kay and Sue!!

    Kelly2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect little cabin by the creek! Loved it pretty easy to find Kay and sue were great and answered all my questions.

  • My partner and I HIGHLY recommend Cynthia and Jeff’s place in Boulder. Everything about the space was warm and inviting. It was one of the highlights of our trip!

    Erica2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Nestled right in the mountains, but off of a conveinent road to Boulder. Very cute touches all over the space, fresh flowers and a wondeful gift basket. The fire place was the cherry on top.

    Alex2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • This is truly the Rocky Mountain experience. Beautiful and rustic yet modern cabin looking right up into the Rockies. Incredible view and great location if your looking to ski in Eldora. Jeff and Cynthia made the experience that much better. They were very prompt with responses, thoughtfully decorative, attentive, and knowledgeable of the area. Jeff made great suggestions on where to find Moose territory, great restaurants, historical landmarks, and more. The cabin is the perfect amount of rustic and modern amenities. Very thoughtful greeting card with our state flag represented and Colorado themed gifts there upon arrival. We appreciated they’re thorough suggestions and also their respect for our space. Very welcoming and hospitable people. So good that we hope to come back as soon as possible!! Definitely check it out, it’s a great value for the price! They also have a very welcoming dog helping as well!

    Kristina2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Cynthia’s place was fantastic. The scenery was beautiful! All of the details in the cute bungalow were very special. She had snacks for us and gave us a very informative tour around the space despite rolling in at 11pm. Highly recommend Cynthia’s place.

  • Amazing rustic mountain cabin... clean and cozy and even fresh flowers in February!

    Kay2020-02-20T00:00:00Z

Short drive to mountain biking/hiking at Betasso Preserve. 30 minutes from Eldora Ski Resort

The Lost Angel neighborhood on Sugarloaf is marked by its big views, spacious lots, and easy access to Dream Canyon. There are other hikes/attractions nearby as well, just ask! Immersed in nature, yet a short a hop into town. Wildlife is abundant on Sugarloaf! There are bears, mountain lions, deer, elk, moose, bobcats, foxes, coyotes, eagles, hawks, and bluebirds. The nearest grocery stores and restaurants are a 15-20 minute drive to Boulder, so come prepared if you'd like to dine in.
  • Isaac’s place is nothing short of breathtaking. The views from the private balcony were phenomenal and was exactly what we wanted as out-of-state guests. We lucked out with the weather(sunny and in the 50’s) but awd vehicles are a must to navigate up the unpaved terrain to get to the home. Also make sure to buy some snacks or food prior to checking in. The location is about 20 minutes outside of Boulder city so you definitely want to plan accordingly. We we’re under the impression it would be easy access for an Uber pick up or delivery service but found that we had to drive back down the mountain into Boulder City to eat. Do NOT let this discourage you (just make sure you get some food prior to checking in)!! The hosts are super accommodating and the views are something that made our stay even more memorable. So glad we chose to stay here for our trip and definitely would recommend it! :)

    Marisa2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful studio with amazing views! This place way exceeded my expectations. A couple minor things to be aware of: There might be a residual smell of pot (I suppose not surprising given it's Colorado) — bring air freshener or a scented candle if that will bother you. Also, you definitely do need a 4WD to get to the top of the driveway: we tried in a sedan and failed, but luckily there was space to park at the side of the road further down and we hiked up the driveway on foot. But overall this was a stunning place, wish I could stay longer!

    Jeff2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful little guest house with awesome views! Bed was a little hard but we got used to it. We drove to Boulder frequently and the views driving through the mountains were AMAZING. Highly recommend this place!!

    Shelby2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful views and great hospitality. The studio has some great amenities, hot tub was private and amazing. The host is very friendly and offered lots of suggestions for our time in the mountains. Will stay here the next time we visit CO!

    Anthony2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Isaac and Alicia are incredible hosts who went above and beyond when our car got stuck (definitely need four wheel drive). The view is out of this world, the pictures for this listing don’t do it justice. I can barely think of the right words to describe just how incredible this stay was. If you’re in Denver or Boulder or whenever, you must stay here!!

    Karli2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a must stay! The views are amazing and we woke up to a heard of elk moving through the yard:) Isaac was so great at communicating! He made our stay easy and we felt very welcomed.

    Jamie2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • WOW- I still cannot believe we did that. First time in Colorado for a romantic getaway with my husband and it was perfection. If you are second guessing getting a 4 Wheel Drive vehicle, GET IT!!! We managed to get up the mountain but needed a locals help towing us up. They are not just suggesting an AWD Vehicle but it seriously a necessity. Pictures literally do not do justice of amazing the views are. The hot tub was incredible, the drive was gorgeous— we will 100% stay here again if we come back to Colorado!

Beautiful light filled cabin with amazing views of the continental divide. The cabin was owned by a professor of climate science from England who was also a well published poet. There are several common spaces with great views of Gold Hill and the surrounding rocky mountains.
Two bedrooms with queen beds - both with large windows. Kitchen has a medium table next to large western facing windows. Bathroom has a claw foot tub and shower. Kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, and utensils, plus some oils and spices. A large study with library and desk and beautiful views of the town of Gold Hill and the Continental Divide. There's also a large loft with two mattresses for additional guests.
Gold Hill is small mountain town of roughly 250 people in Boulder County. The town is located to the northwest of Boulder, perched on a mountainside above Left Hand Canyon at an elevation of 8,300 feet. Originally a mining camp, it was the site of the first major discovery of gold during the 1859 Colorado Gold Rush and remained an important mining camp throughout the late 19th century, with a population approaching 1500 at its height, before falling into decline. It has been revived somewhat in recent years as a quiet isolated haven, with no paved streets, but easily accessed by dirt roads. The town contains numerous historic wooden structures, some restored in recent years, as well decaying ruins from its mining heyday. The Gold Hill Inn sits in the middle of town and serves dinner, offers live music several nights a week, and host special events like weddings. There is also a small museum and two-room schoolhouse, the Gold Hill School, which since 1873 has been the oldest continuously operating public school in Colorado. The town is laid out on a small grid of dirt streets.
  • Ty's cabin was wonderful, we'd definitely recommend this spot to anybody looking to get away and enjoy the cabin life for a few days!

    Tanner2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Get ready for a breathtaking view! The week we stayed at Ty's place felt like we were living in a post card. Amazing time

    Ryan2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved this space. The house has so much character and is positioned incredibly; overlooking the small town of Goldhill and with a view of the continental divide. It was perfect for a weekend getaway with friends. Ty was great and provided some thoughtful touches/amenities in the space as well. I definitely intend on returning.

  • Great views! Awesome cabin to get away!

    Daisy2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is a climb up a number of stone stairs, down a walkway, around a bend... it's hard to find! AND, it's worth getting lost to find it. What a stunning space. Definitely the most beautiful we've been to, especially if you like natural materials, a little rustic, stone and log, huge old wood burning stove.

  • Debra’s place is magical. For a weekend getaway for 4, this place is a total gem. The kitchen is fully stocked. We made homemade soup for dinner and had everything we needed. Amazing hiking and Snowshoeing trails were just a couple miles away. You’re so close to the Gold Hill Inn- such a great spot to visit to get out of the house. For anyone thinking of staying in the winter- it is truly amazing how efficient the wood stove is. We were toasty and super comfy all weekend! Amazing stay overall, no complaints. Veronica2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay here in the mountains of Boulder. It really is a place of serenity, and we loved waking up there in the morning and feeling so well-rested. Also, the cats there are good company and friends. Would love to stay there again and try out a tea ceremony.

  • Mariana's home is a true gem. Tucked away in the mountains of Boulder, this home is conveniently located and easy to get to from Downtown Boulder. It was a perfect retreat from the city for us and we enjoyed a lovely weekend getaway. The room was clean, quiet, and the views are spectacular. The house manual in the room was a very helpful and thoughtful touch and we enjoyed using the large, open kitchen to cook our own meals. Caring for the environment is a top priority in this home and I wish more Airbnb's were like this. However, if you're not accustomed to composting, recycling and a low waste lifestyle- then not to worry. Mariana and Morgan have made it easy for guests to participate in the low waste system of this home. This was one of my best Airbnb experiences and you won't regret staying here. • We really enjoyed our stay at Mariana’s house! It’s a bit of a climb up the mountain but it’s totally worth the views and the peace and quiet! Mariana and Morgan were great hosts and gave us a lot of good recommendations for things to do and places to eat. We highly recommend staying there!

Bright open house outstanding views. Just 10 min from the mountain town of Gold Hill and 30 min from Boulder. Close to Brainard Lake, RMNP, Peaceful Valley and Caribou Open Space. Secluded yet all the modern conveniences . Great place to unwind and enjoy the fantastic views of the foothills yet easy to get to local tourist attractions. The last 2 miles of your trip is on a rough road 4wd is a must in the winter and is preferred year around though 2wd cars manage fine in the summer .
One mile off the county road allows you to only hear the birds and enjoy the views with out any neighbors. https://www.forbes.com/sites/garystoller/2019/02/27/better-than-disney-or-maui-a-travel-journalist-takes-you-to-his-favorite-hideaway/?fbclid=IwAR1B6bgOHhE7769teZAgU_rJL8rnSQznnHd7_phv3x5Q3Y1ukMO8jAi1AGI#a230576275df

  • We were blown away by the spectacular view right out the living room windows! It's so quiet and peaceful, we often forgot the windows were open. I can't say enough great things about Mark's place. I loved everything, including the fun and incredibly scenic adventure driving up the canyon into Gold Hill, then the bouncy jeep road to the cabin from there. Great communication with Mark. He was kind to meet us in Gold Hill, even though our flight arrived a later than usual check in time. He escorted us to the cabin (very helpful in the dark) and gave us a quick tour upon arrival. Very grateful to Mark for sharing this amazing place. I would love to visit many more times.

    Kristy2019-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • Cabin was very clean, amazing views. Mark was readily accessible for every need that arose. Definitely recommend the 4 wheel drive for flatlanders 😁

    James2019-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin was fantastic! Amazing views and everything you need for a comfortable stay. Mark was exceptionally helpful with directions and patient with us as we made our first trip up the mountainside! Originally we took Sunshine Canyon from Boulder to Gold Hill. The end of Sunshine Canyon caught up off guard as the road changes from paved to dirt the closer you come to Gold Hill. We were in an unfamiliar rental, in an unfamiliar area, going up a mountain side on a winding dirt road! Scary! Every other trip up and down the mountain we took Lickskillet to Lefthand Canyon instead. Little steeper, but wider and less curves. Definitely recommend taking this way if you’re inexperienced with mountain driving.

    Jenny2019-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • If you want a secluded, peaceful, place with all the amenities- you’ve found it! It’s a trek to get there but worth the adventure. Has everything you could need and the view is stunning. Great hosts and awesome experience.

    Jamie2019-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Close to Boulder but definitely off the beaten path, was perfect for the three of us

    Sandra2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Especially for the price the view is unbeatable. Mark was amazing and gave us tips on neat places to check out and the nearby town when we checked in! The house was clean and had everything we needed. Definitely will be back if we get the chance

    Neal2019-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was incredibly clean, the view was stunning, and Mark was super welcoming and accommodating. Would love to stay here again!

This is a quiet mountain community. We have great neighbors and would like to keep it that way. Please observe quite hours from 10pm - 7am. Our home is a mile from the town of Gold Hill, population 150. All businesses are on Main Street. The Gold Hill Inn is a 3/4 mile walk from the house. It is a five star dining establishment and has been opened for 56 years this season. It is historically zoned with an antique bar and sitting area for enjoying a cocktail, beer or wine. The beer garden is located on the west side of the building and is an added outdoor sitting area. Live music is provided on most Fridays and Sundays throughout the summer. It is open from May - Dec. If you book for Memorial Day, Fourth of July, or Labor Day the Inn celebrates these holidays with an afternoon of live music, dancing, food and drinks in the Beer Garden. Google Gold Hill Inn for details. The Gold Hill Cafe and Pub is right up the street from the Inn. Lunch & breakfast & maybe Brunch on Sunday. They serve beer, wine and cocktails after 5:30 or 6. Google for details. Rosey’s Reflections is our very unique local tourist shop, but not like any you have seen! Lots of homemade stain glass Tiffany style lamps, pottery, clothes and more. Take a Colorado gift back home to friends and family. No website but wonderful people running it. When the sign says open, its open!! Nederland, another mountain town, is about a 35-40 minute drive west from Gold Hill. It is a great town, a larger town than Gold Hill. It is worth checking out for sure. There is a bigger grocery store and THE CAROUSEL OF HAPPINESS, FOR KIDS OF ALL AGES! Google for details. IF YOU DON’T WANT TO DRINK AND DRIVE THERE IS AN ALTERNATIVE FOR YOU: The Climb is our VERY OWN transportation bus from Gold Hill down to Boulder and back up the hill. For all the details google The Climb, Boulder, Co.

  • Beautiful home in a beautiful setting. Helpful host and easy check in/out. Not cheap, but a good value for all of this. Pictures can't do justice to the home or area!

    Kevin2019-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • Such a wonderful home. Comfortable beds. So close to great hiking and fishing. Very relaxing. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything to prepare our meals. The wild life was amazing. From a female deer to song birds (including humming birds) to wild turkeys..... and even the neighborhood fox. 20+ minute drive to Boulder. Perfect for a friends or family gathering.

    Vanessa2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • The view, the view, the view!! This mountain home is a perfect getaway for a quiet retreat. It is close enough to Boulder to enjoy the hustle and bustle of a city but removed enough to relax and unwind. Be sure to check out the cute neighborhood of Gold Hill. The general store’s pies are a perfect way to recover after a day of hiking. We highly recommend the day hike at Brainard Lake In Roosevelt National Forest. Lake Isabelle was gorgeous!!

    Sarah2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • My family had a great stay at this home. The owners were even considerate enough to provide a high chair for our youngest. Excellent communication throughout!

    Pete2019-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • This place was spectacular. Views from the deck are wonderful. Simple ride from Boulder. Great place to go to just get away from it all. Liz and Steve are top notch people. Will definitely be going back next year with the family.

    David2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed here for a week with some friends and all I could say is that all of our expectations were blown out of the water. Everything far exceeded our expectations, which, were already set very high. The location of the house is perfect and I would go as far to say that the pictures do not do the house justice. The communication with Liz and Steven was also great. They were available and ready to answer any questions that I might’ve had. I could go on about everything else that was great about the house but I’m sure that the dozens of other positive reviews can attest to how great the experience is. I can say without a doubt that I would stay again.

    Justice2019-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • Liz and Steven's place was amazing. The views were outstanding. The hot tub really came in handy especially with the view from the mountains. The house was very clean and they allowed us to check in early to accommodate us going to a game in Denver. This a great place to stay at when you want to get away from everything and enjoy the mountains and some amazing views.

Nestled in the mountains of Boulder, this peaceful home is only 20 minutes to downtown. You will love the stunning views looking over Boulder at 7,400 ft. Master bedroom also has private deck for your viewing pleasure. I do live in the home, but during holidays and special events the entire home can be rented! Please inquire about this. Hot tub and upstairs common area can be used during your stay. **A 4-wheel drive vehicle is needed for the drive during the winter season.
If you are looking for an authentic mountain stay experience, my home is it! You can enjoy the hot tub on the top deck, lower deck off of the master bedroom, and a beautiful 20 minute commute to downtown.
The home is fairly secluded from other homes. There are two neighbors within sight, and overall the neighborhood is peaceful.

  • Shelby is an awesome host! Quick response and thoughtful. Solved all our problems. Sitting in jacuzzi at night with a city view under starring sky is definitely something unforgettable. Her roommate and her neighbor are super nice as well! We will come back for sure!

    Sandra2019-12-20T00:00:00Z
  • Wow-- the view at this place! Perfect for watching sunsets in the hot tub. You will absolutely need 4WD to access this place in the winter. I recommend doing the drive once before sunset as it is quite steep. That being said, the place is very cozy and well-decorated! The heat is nice and toasty, which is great for this time of year. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily come back!

    Alexis2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • An amazing location! I wish I would have been able to stay longer honestly. I wanted to see the sunrise/set. It was snowing the time we were there and she's def. not kidding when she says her driveway is steep. So be careful. Overall great place to stay at! Most likely will be back during summer/fall time! Btw, hot tub was amazing and her roommate Shawn was pretty chill.

    Nestly2019-11-22T00:00:00Z
  • Shelby’s place is amazing! Incredible hospitality and quick responses made staying with her so easy. We visited in winter and it just snowed and she was sure to let us know ahead of time to tent a vehicle with 4 wheel drive to get up The drive which was super helpful. And the views are insane! The hot tub was our favorite part. We would definitely stay with her again!

In the early 1900s people flocked to Fourmile Canyon to mine an extremely rare metal called Tellurium, as an ode to the history and all of our hard work finally culminated. The Bow Mettle Hearth speaks to the junction of our fortitude and good fortune. This house was built in 1900 and blends the beauty of the canyon with its unique architecture. The sounds of the creek and birds echoing the canyon walls brings you back to yourself. Lay down your mettle at our bend in the road and reconnect.
The entire house is yours, you can also explore the creek and the trail that runs along side it.
Be sure to check out the town of Gold Hill the Tavern and the Inn for some wonderful music. Nearby trails and popular bike route just out your door.
  • Autumn’s home soooo comfy and cozy. We enjoyed it so much. The drove to the house was fun, windee and beautiful! Definitely recommend staying here if you want out of town but not too far from it!

    Ally2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • This is an amazing little cottage, outside the city limits, with great views and a peaceful setting. It was clean, well appointed and suited us wonderfully for our weekend of skiing and snowshoeing. It was about 25 minutes from town due to low speeds as you drive out of the canyon, but a beautiful drive. We will definitely look to stay here again.

    John2020-02-09T00:00:00Z

  • Autumn & Kelli were amazing hosts for our stay in Boulder. Extremely quick responses and thoughtful touches. The house is perfectly located in the canyon, built into the mountain(literally a rock in the living room) and about 15 minutes from Downtown Boulder. The home was sparkling clean, the shower was of a 5 star hotel standard and there was plenty of room for two buddies and I to rest our heads comfortably. Would definitely recommend.

I am located on a dead-end dirt road so you can walk the neighborhood and be immersed in nature. It's super quiet and you will probably see deer running around and a fox sighting if you are out in the evening.
  • Karen’s place was awesome! If you want a secluded getaway with incredible views from a mountaintop hot tub after spending a day hiking or strolling around boulder, this is it! She was a fantastic host and her place is perfect. Make sure you have a 4WD vehicle - the steep roads to get there are no joke but 100% worth it. Also, her dogs were so sweet and gentle. I will miss them!

    Cara2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a lovely stay! The house is situation 20 minutes away from all the exciting shops and restaurants in Boulder. Driving up the mountain was definitely exciting. Once up there, you feel completely at ease and peace with nature. Walking up to the house, you are greeted by the best pups in the mountain-Gabe, Ali, and Rocco! It was easy to get access into the apartment. The place was clean, the bedroom was cozy, and they even have a little kitchenette area where you can make coffee in the morning, or store your food in a mini fridge. We never got a chance to meet with our host, but they made sure to keep contact with us in case we needed anything, which was fantastic! Make sure you get an AWD vehicle if you go during snow season. We hope you enjoy the breathtaking views and atmosphere of this mountain location as much as we did!

  • This Airbnb is the epitome of a perfect mountain getaway! It’s quiet, relaxed, and has incredible views of the mountains during the day, and the city lights at night! The hot tub and fire pit were an awesome bonus. Additionally, Karen was an amazing and attentive host & even helped me find a lost item I accidentally left behind after my stay. I could not recommend this Airbnb more!

  • Mike's family is wonderful. When I first reserved the room, I was planning on staying on the 3rd floor. As luck would have it, my bad foot flared up and my dog was a little under the weather...trekking up a couple of flights would not be in the cards but I definitely did not want to cancel. I contacted my hosts and they said that they had been thinking of renting out the lower level in the past and would get it ready for me. Given that this was the first time they rented out that part of the house, there were a couple of small bumps that Helen addressed immediately. She was genuinely concerned for our comfort level. Long story short, it was super smooth sailing. Actually, it was better than smooth sailing. The space was perfect: king sized bed, a separate working area (I was there on business), quiet and a steam shower!! These hosts go above and beyond to make their guests comfortable. They are warm, communicative, interesting and wonderful people. I'll be back folks...thanks again!!

Built in 2016, after our original home was destroyed in the Jamestown flood 2013, this apartment was created to provide housing for aging parents, friends and guests. Wonderful, large 800 sq ft, open floor plan apt. However, the acre lot landscaping is still being completed.
Newly constructed, 800 sq ft open floor plan apt on James Creek. In winter, enjoy the radiant heat floors throughout apt. Minimalist decor, outdoor active space.
Jamestown is a small, eclectic, artist/musician, active, friendly, kid loving, dog loving, mountain town 12 miles from Boulder, surrounded by USFS. Known to the cycling community as the go-to ride destination from Boulder. Hike, mountain bike, cross- country ski, fish the creek for trout, right outside your door. Away from the hustle and bustle but close enough for conveniences. At night the skies illuminate with stars and you fall asleep to the lovely creek. Traffic is minimal, besides the main paved road- during the day-which continues through to the lovely Peak to Peak highway. All other roads are dirt. The town has a post office, church, Town Hall & 1 century old restaurant/bar- The Mercantile aka The Merc. Jamestown has a rich history filled with Native American chiefs to a gold mining historic town to today's 300 person community. The residents are friendly, fun, creative and social. Typically on any given weekend there's an event or something to do in town. Whether it's through our local JAM-Jamestown Artists and Musicians group, or music/dinner at "The Merc". There's is little to no cell service (Verizon can work sometimes) but good high speed internet.
  • Julie was a fantastic hostess. Her home was beautiful, warm, and quiet. The creekside fire pit was a wonderful touch. I highly recommend Julie’s space for a lovely weekend getaway.

  • My husband and I found ourselves in a complicated situation on our honeymoon and needed a place to stay last minute. Julie and Matt welcomed us into their guest suite, and Julie was extremely helpful in suggesting things for us to do during our stay. The apartment is spacious and the bathroom especially was very stylish! We loved the drive up the mountain to their place, and it was only about a 30 minute drive to Boulder with lots of shopping and great places to eat! We would definitely stay again!

    Ashley2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful downstairs apartment in the mountains by Boulder. It was incredible to have so many supplies and utensils in the kitchen. Brunch at the Merc was delicious and we also enjoyed XC skiing at Brainard Lake. A stylish, clean, and cozy place to stay.

  • Julie is an amazing host and her friend Jennifer was friendly and helpful. Julie was one of town but she remain extremely responsive via messaging and her friend was available to help us with anything we need. The whole town is just a friendly place. The apartment is a basement but it has a heater with insulated floor so it isn’t cold at all. The entire apartment is just beautiful and fitting to the town it’s in. The entire town is breathtaking. It’s so worth it for the value. It’s a dog friendly place and you’ll see dog freely walking around that you can pet. There’s a little mercantile there that has a character of its own with really friendly folks there. It was an amazing experience. I was really sad to leave!

  • This is a beautiful place in a remotish location, but still fairly close to Boulder. Friendly people and nice big kitchen.

    Holly2019-11-20T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful unit in Jamestown. This spacious one bedroom offers a full kitchen for cooking (with only one restaurant option in town, bringing in food to cook is a good idea) and plenty of seating in the living room. Very comfortable king bed made for a great night sleep. Snow made it hard to appreciate the nearby parks but listening to the stream behind the unit was very relaxing.

  • Julie is a great host! We love staying with her when we visit. Look forward to our next trip!

The best of both worlds. Beautiful mountain apartment just 10 minutes from city of Boulder. Nourishing panoramic views complement the peace and quiet of this country retreat. Recently remodeled space is light filled and features new beds, linens and appliances. Apartment is on 35 acres of ponderosa pines adjacent to Bald Mountain open space hiking trails-explore and enjoy! This charming location is home to foxes, deer and rabbits as well as a variety of birds.
The entire apartment has been remolded and you will be the first if not some of the first people to stay in this light filled beautiful apartment with bamboo floors and all new appliance. There is either a panoramic view or a beautiful forest view out of each windows. It is super quiet and peaceful and you are surrounded by Ponderosa Pines and clean fresh Rocky Mountain air. Sit on the large stone patio or on your private redwood deck. We have a wooden swing set that four people can sit on a chat the afternoon away. We built this space in 1995 and have just loved its beauty and tranquility. We trust you will love it too.
Close to hiking trails and open space. We have 35 acres of serene beauty and a night sky filled with stars. It is far away from city noise and light pollution.
  • Beautiful property and home. Had a wonderful time and owners were great! Would definitely recommend this place for others.

    Adriana2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Russell's place was perfect and in a stunning location. I recommend driving in daylight however, because it's as if you're driving to the center of a private ski resort which may be hard to find in the dark. The place had everything we needed and Russell greeted us upon arrival. We hope to be back soon!

    Femke2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • The views exceeded our expectations. Breath taking. Russell was such an incredible host, making sure we had everything we needed. This was by far, the cleanest, best Airbnb we have booked and would recommend. Thank you Russell!

    Shawn2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful home and Russell is a fantastic host.

    Nate2020-02-12T00:00:00Z

  • This place is the perfect getaway. It's right in the mountains but close enough for a quick drive to grab the essentials (a $10 Uber). 5-10minute drive to popular trails, or a 30min walk if that's your thing. The views are phenomenal. Every morning on my way down to hit the trails I could not help but be in awe. This place has the comfiest bed and comforter I have ever had. I almost wanted to buy it. The kitchen was perfect. Beautiful view from the kitchen table, there was kitchen essentials, and the Keurig was a plus! I will definitely come back to stay here again. I loved every moment of being here. Thank you again, Russell!

    Jong2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • This is a really great place and I would stay here again and again. It was a weekend where I needed to recover from burnout. The guest home and location were perfect for a quiet weekend. It’s very well designed and spotless with updated appliances to cook with. The bed is very comfortable too! I would highly recommend for anyone wanting to be close to both hiking options and town while also enjoying peace and quiet.

    Sarah2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • This really is a mountain gem close to town! It's quiet, clean, and has a great feel to it. I've stayed at Russell's twice, and I would stay again. He is such a gracious and supportive host. The kitchen is well appointed, and everything is good quality, including the beds. I love the nature and beautiful views all around. It's well worth the 10 minute drive to town, and I think it's one of the best values in Boulder.

My place is between Nederland and Boulder with spectacular views. Looking east you see Boulder and the plains. Looking west, the Continental Divide. Sunrises and sunsets are spectacular. The hikes are breathtaking. Great for couples, business travelers, families (with kids), big groups, and furry friends (pets). The house has three levels. Three private bedrooms, a loft, and a small room. More pictures and video at http://LostAngelHouse.com
The house has spectacular hikes just minutes way including Dream Canyon. This canyon is popular with rock climbers because of the sheer granite rock faces and beautiful views.
The house sits on three acres and there is another five acres adjacent that is undeveloped. Great views, great walks, and plenty of privacy. In winter, 2WD driveway access cannot be guaranteed due to blowing snow and ice. 4WD recommended or be prepared to walk 300ft. Driveway will be plowed but may not be usable by 2WD.
  • The location proved to be perfect for climbing in the canyon. After a long day of enjoying the great outdoors, instruments and games are available for a more laid back close to the day. Also, the view from the porch is incredible.

    Noah2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay here. It’s an amazing property with sweeping views that pictures just don’t capture. Wonderful, spacious home with more than enough room. House was clean and had all the amenities needed. We were lucky enough to have some snow, making it that much better!

  • Absolutely amazing! Very close to Boulder and Nederland! Beautiful view of boulder from mountains! William provided all of the proper resources needed for the area including road closures and weather conditions for driving in the mountain! Excellent communication. The cabin is beautiful and clean! Lovely musical decor. Perfect for groups and families! Will be back

Cozy three-bed mountain studio in the Sugarloaf area west of Boulder. One queen bed and two twin beds, wifi, private bathroom, big closet, table set, coffee maker, fridge and microwave. Outdoor deck, grill and spa with amazing views of the surrounding forest. Only steps away from the Betasso Nature Reserve, a top destination for hiking and mountain biking. Cool in summer and warm in winter. Plenty of parking space. Drive into town for all of Boulder amenities, or drive West into the Rockies...
Location, location, location!! It's sunny, sheltered and 10 minutes from downtown Boulder. The studio is located in the lower level of a bi-level home located just one mile up Sugarloaf Road, with priority one road plowing, so no winter hassles. An easy 10 minute drive to town. Hiking and mountain biking trails start at the door, with the Betasso Nature Reserve only steps away. World class granite climbing only 10 minutes away in Boulder Canyon and Dream Canyon. Drive to Eldora Ski Resort 35 minutes away, Indian Peak Wilderness and Rocky Mountain National Park via Sugarloaf Road, avoiding all hassle. Drive to the ski resorts on I-70 (Breckenridge, Keystone, Vail, Winter Park, etc) via Nederland and Black Hawk City, avoiding the worst part of I-70. Situated on a cul-de-sac provides peace, quiet and seclusion. Ideal for a quiet retreat with plenty of outdoor access.
It is a beautiful and quiet neighborhood with plenty of space. The home sits on one acre of beautiful forest. The neighborhood is super safe and neighbors are very friendly and helpful. Many artists and outdoorsy types live up here. Less hype and more soul than down there in the Republic of Boulder. Mountain living at its best.
  • Really great location and space Joaquin's an excellent and attentive host! Highly recommend booking here!

    Jim2018-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • This space is absolutely perfect if you are looking for quiet simple enjoyment of your surroundings. Clean comfortable spacious. And the hot tub is an amazing way to end the day. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and I will be back!

    Jill2018-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Joaquin is an excellent host, full of suggestions and very responsive. Sadly, we were out then he stopped by to say hello, but upstairs neighbor Mike was also especially friendly and helpful. Would absolutely recommend!

    Samuel2018-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • This spot gives you the off the grid mountain experience only 15 minutes from downtown Boulder. You can connect to wifi if you want or totally unplug - huge bonus for me. The Hot Tub came in handy after some long hikes and rock climbing the First Flat Iron. If you are interested in a rock climbing guide, check out Denver Mountain Guiding. They have options for all experience levels near Boulder and Denver. The Betasso Preserve offers a few moderate hikes in varying lengths with expansive mountain views. It seems especially great for mountain biking (not allowed Wednesday or Saturdays). It was a private entrance left unlocked for me to enter and the room had its own lock and key. Ample space for multiple travelers and gear in the single room with a private bath connected. Three beds (sleeps 4) by huge windows for falling asleep under the stars, if you choose. Coffee on tap and grill on the deck. Soft towels and a standing shower. Thanks for a great stay!

    Katie2018-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Apartmentis in a great location just outside of Boulder but you feel like you’re way up in the hills. Easy to fine though clean with a great hot tub and gas grill on a private porch overlooking the hills and beautiful words. Communication was excellent, great coffee, comfortable bed – couldn’t ask for more really excellent.

    Kevin2018-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place to use as a base camp for visiting Boulder. It's a one room place, though there's plenty of room to move. The hot tub is wonderful. It's really well located. You feel like you are far removed from the city, but it's actually just 10 mins down the hill. It's easy to get around the front range from here (it's about an hour to Estes Park, Denver, white water rafting destinations, etc.). It's got a really cool tree house, and it's in an incredible setting. I'd recommend this to anyone looking to get away to the mountains!

  • The studio was exactly as expected! The view was absolutely incredible and the bed and sheets were extremely comfortable for us. Betsy’s place is close to both Boulder and Nederland which was awesome and there was no traffic. We figured out the hot tub by following her directions, but it does take a little while to warm up. The bath/shower was great too. We could hear some noises from the upstairs of the house, but it didn’t bother us and the tenants left us completely alone. This is the perfect place for a quick getaway for 2!

Aspen Hollow is a secluded, rustic, off-grid cabin that has been completely updated from its original 1930s condition. It is set on 5 acres surrounded on ALL SIDES by national forest. Only 30 minutes from Boulder and 20 from Nederland, but feels miles away from anything with hiking/biking/x-country ski trails right out your door. All are welcome to kick off their shoes and relax by the wood burning stove after a day of skiing, or just use the space to read, write or get away from it all.
This cabin is more like a tiny house, well-appointed but very small! It is completely off-grid with a composting toilet, small solar setup for electricity, wood-burning stove for heat, and a 2-burner propane gas stove for cooking. The wood stove also has a cooktop. There is no real running water, but in the summer we have a 55-gallon drum that provides cold water to the two sinks. We also supply one 5-gallon jug of drinking water per stay. The main floor of the cabin has a central room with a pullout sofa, small kitchen setup with mini-fridge and 2-burner propane stove, and wood-burning stove for cozy winter nights. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots and pans, cooking and eating utensils, plates, bowls, cups, salt, pepper etc. There is a mini fridge to keep food cold for longer stays, but this generally unplugged during the winter when the solar setup can't charge as fast. During the summer it should charge enough during the day to keep the fridge running overnight, but if it's particularly cloudy it may need to be unplugged overnight. Climb the stairs to the loft to find queen and twin beds; wake up to a view of the treetops! You are welcome to bring a sleeping bag for additional warmth in the winter, but we do provide sheets, blankets and pillows. An additional room off of the main room has a composting toilet and sink/mirror. There is currently no shower available in this house, although we are in the process of adding a "solar shower" outside. There is also no real running water, although in the summer we have a 55-gallon drum that provides cold water to the two sinks in the kitchen and bathroom. This is glamping at its finest! Outside there are many PRIVATE and secluded trails. You can choose to stay away from the craziness of weekends at Eldora and Brainard Lake and hike or ski your own private trails right outside the door. Or jump in on that craziness and be at either of those places within 30-45 minutes. This place is surprisingly kid friendly! As owners, we have 2 small children and wanted them to be safe, so there is a built-in gate at the top of the stairs in the loft and a screen to protect little ones from touching the wood stove. That said, this property is not recommended for children under 3 due to the risks of the wood stove and loft staircase. Aspen Hollow is perfect for a couple's or family getaway, or for an artist or writer looking for some peace and seclusion to be creative. ****PLEASE NOTE!: The forest road leading to the cabin requires 4WD and high clearance in the winter!! Please do not request to book during the winter months unless you have a 4WD or AWD vehicle with decent tires and some clearance. In the winter, guests are advised to park in a dedicated parking area and walk several hundred feet to the cabin. During the summer months, most vehicles can access the cabin. We will send detailed driving directions before your arrival. ALSO: This is a RUSTIC cabin in the woods. There may be bugs, bears, and all the rest of the things that come with what is essentially camping within 4 walls. We think it's cozy and inviting and our guests do too, but please make sure this is the experience you are looking for before requesting to book :).
The neighborhood you drive through on the way to the property is a mix of seasonal cabins and luxury mountain homes. Please do not disturb the neighbors! The forest road leading to the cabin itself is national forest property and very private. We will provide maps and guides to some of the trails adjacent to the property and a few miles down the road, if you choose to stay local. There are also lots of attractions within a few minutes to an hour of driving, including: Nederland - 20 mins - Mountain town with restaurants, shops, hiking/biking/skiing/fishing Eldora Mountain Resort - 30 mins - Local ski mountain for downhill and Nordic skiing Brainard Lake Rec Area - 45 mins - incredible x-country skiing and snowshoeing in winter, hiking and fishing in summer Estes Park/Rocky Mountain National Park - 1 hr 15 mins - National Park with miles of trails full of wildlife; Estes Park is the adjacent tourist town with many of its own attractions, like the famous Stanley Hotel. And of course Boulder is 30 minutes away where you can have all the amenities and nightlife you desire.
  • This beautiful, rustic, cabin is the perfect spot for a total getaway. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking, the stars shine bright at night, and it is a short drive away from Nederland and Boulder. We stayed several days in the winter which was an exciting adventure. Karen and Nate left plenty of wood for us, and the wood stove kept us very warm at night. I hope to come back again and again!

  • This place is just as it is described! It’s so cozy and was a perfect get away! Thank you Karen & Nate!

  • Awesome place to get away from everything. Will definitely be back!

    Clayton2019-12-18T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this place. It is just as the description says described...secluded and wonderful. I want a cabin like this.

    Greg2019-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome place at awesome location. It's hidden from the civilization, yet still close to it. We won "the lottery" when planned this trip weeks before and the day before we started our stay there, the snow storm just culminated, however still this place was sooo cozy even there was 5 °F outside. If you are looking for a place where you can take a breath and slow down for a moment, don't look elsewhere - this is simply the perfect place.

    Pavel2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Karen and Nate are great hosts, and their cabin is everything we hoped it would be: cozy, remote-feeling but not hard to reach, a perfect getaway. They had prepared paper, fire lighters, kindling, and logs for the stove, and it was easily enough to keep us warm overnight with temperatures in the 20s. there were USB ports to charge our phones and a radio, but we enjoyed a break from our phones and some quiet time out in the beautiful pine forest. Do listen if they advise you not to drive down the hill directly to the cabin in the snowy months; it isn't a long walk and you can use the sled to get your luggage down and back. The weather can change quickly and unexpectedly, so what felt like a fun 4x4 drive can become an icy slide in a few hours. We are very grateful for the stay, and are definitely planning to visit again.

    Aleks2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • This little cabin was perfect for our needs. It's like camping without having to pitch a tent. It's small but very accommodating. The wood-burning stove inside was more than enough to keep the place warm, even up in the loft. The kitchen was just right for cooking our meals and cleaning up afterward. It was wonderful not to have to go outside to use the bathroom. We loved that there was strip-lighting upstairs and down that provided enough illumination throughout. The area was very quiet and secluded. We felt totally removed from civilization. Our dogs loved exploring, especially since they could be off-leash. There are things outside that were unexpected and fun. Lots of activities for kids and parents. My favorite was the hammock hung between two trees. Inside, there were books, games, and crayons available. This cabin is now one of our favorite places to stay and we will be back.

    Jodi2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin was amazing and everything we wanted. We actually contemplated extending our stay, but realized it was booked for the rest of the month. We explored both Boulder and Nederland and fell in love. Our dogs loved the space and we found some amazing views exploring the property. Karen and Nate were also extremely prompt in replacing an empty fire extinguisher. A couple things to note: you will definitely need AWD and clearance. Don't take that lightly as the road is rutted and rocky. Also, the ladder to the loft is just that: a ladder. Our dogs are used to sleeping at the foot our bed. When we tried to leave them downstairs, they tried to climb the ladder unsuccessfully. If your dogs are like this, be prepared to hoist them up like we did (which didn't bother us).

Located in scenic Boulder Canyon along Boulder Creek; a 15 drive from downtown Boulder. NOTE: There is currently construction in the lower part of the canyon (near Boulder).
  • This place is beautiful and perfect in every way. It's tucked away in the peace and quiet of the mountains and only a 15 minute drive to Downtown Boulder. The house had everything we needed, and we were especially thankful for the stereo system, fireplace, skylights, patio and privacy. We will absolutely return.

  • If you’re looking for a perfect getaway with everything you need, in a lovely natural setting but also close to town, don’t hesitate to book. This place has it all!

  • The house was spacious, clutter-free, comfortable, and beautifully decorated! There was an abundance of firewood, which made each night by the huge fireplace easy and totally enjoyable! The beds were delightfully comfortable, the shower was AMAZING, the view was calming yet engaging, her list of things to do was all-encompassing, and her email alerting us of what was getting ready to happen in construction saved us from missing our flight. I will definitely look forward to staying at her beautiful house again when I am here.

    Amy2020-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • Stunning!!! This place is unbelievable! The views are just remarkable. We could spend hours just lounging, staring out the windows, reading next to the fireplace, cooking with loved ones and listening to the breeze rustling through the trees. The location is a perfect mix of hidden excursion and downtown Boulder access. The hiking around the area is varied and a ski resort is also a close drive. This air bnb has everything you need. I’ve stayed in many air bnbs but never had one that had absolutely every item has needed: ziploc bags, candles, firewood and firestarter, body lotion, coffee grinder, usb charger, Bluetooth speakers, fire tv... And, when you arrive you will be greeted to drinks and snacks in the fridge! This place is everything!!!

  • Thanks to Joann and Jay for the lovely stay! The place is tight of boulder creek and only 15 minutes to the Pearl street mall but feels like it’s deep in the mountains. The space is open and cozy. Beds have a heating pad as well as the bathroom floor, which is great for chilly nights. They seemed to have thought of any amenity you might need. It was pretty snowy and cold when we stayed, so didn’t make use of the outdoor space but looks to be great for the summer. The host lives right downstairs but the space is quiet. Wonderful place, feels like home. It is a mountain home which has a septic tank, completely normal aroma but may be unfamiliar to folks that aren’t used to it.

    Janice2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • This was a perfect stay. The property was beautiful with a modern design. This location would work well for families as well. Joann’s hospitality made me feel like family. I would definitely book here again.

Private, sunny, spacious bedroom/full bath suite, comfortable queen-size bed, built-in desk, and closet. Located on upper level in a beautiful home, with lovely gardens in fashionable North Boulder - 2 miles from downtown, 5 min walk to the popular Mt. Sanitas hiking trails.
Proud of our Superhost status, we strive to provide the small touches that make your stay more than just a less expensive bed. The Suite is very private so if a quiet night's sleep or a place to just be alone is your desire, it will surely meet your needs. However, if you want to mingle over a fresh brewed cup of coffee or enjoy it outside in the gazebo dining area, with or without a fire, you have chosen the right place. I hope you will read through the wonderful feedback from our guests, who I believe will convey our offer better than I can!
Quiet, well maintained group of homes on a cul de sac within walking distance of Wonderhill Hills Park, Mount Sanitas Trailhead, and small Maxwell Park, yet just two miles from downtown Boulder. Local shopping and restaurants are within a 1/2 mile from residence.
  • I cannot say enough about this great experience! Dean and Sandra Leigh were flexible and accommodating from the beginning - and their home in the foothills is beautiful. The neighborhood was safe and quiet, and the location was perfect . I walked to downtown every day, which is an easy walk- and the trailheads are literally behind the house. The room is spacious and comfortable, and I felt welcomed the entire time. Absolutely recommend to anyone looking to immerse themselves in the Boulder experience.

    Regina2019-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • Dean’s place is warm and beautiful. The location is convenient and quiet. Dean and Sandra-Leigh are amazing hosts with two really cute dogs. They accepted my request at the last minute and allowed for changes due to unplanned events. They were warm and friendly and made my stay there very comfortable and lovely. They were super welcoming of my dog; Olive as well.

    Jenifer2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • I had a wonderful experience to stay at Sandra-Leigh and Dean's place for three weeks. Their house, and garden are beautiful and well decorated. The guest room is roomy with build in shelfs, drawers and the bed is so comfortable. The build in book shelves and large desk is very handy for me to be able to work on my laptop for long hours. Sandra-Leigh and Dean are very hospitable, and flexible to accommodate our needs. They welcomed my granddaughter to visit after school when my daughter was working. The house is very close to the Lucky grocery, Lucky Cafe, Bakery, Logan coffee shop and another Ideal Market shopping center. There are also trails to reach the Wonderland Lake with less than 10 minutes walk. I travels with two luggages, Dean provided service with reasonable charge to pick me up from airport with his Tesla. I highly recommend this Airbnb because of it's great value interns of the overall quality provided. I will love to stay at Sandra-Leigh and Dean's place again!

  • This place is a gem! We were really lucky to find this Airbnb in Boulder. Dean and Sandra Lee were very welcoming and fun hosts. Their backyard is like a beautiful, secret garden oasis. The room was clean and spacious. 100% recommend!

Private suite in a beautiful mountain retreat with panoramic views of the Continental Divide. The visitor suite has it’s own private entrance, bathroom, and living area. It’s perfect for those who want to stay in a quiet, secluded area in the mountains, while still being only 10 mins drive from the Pearl Street Mall. We are on 6 acres in a 250 acre private compound with lots of hiking trails. I live upstairs with my very friendly dog.
The space is a full 1 bedroom area with a separate private living room, kitchenette, and full attached private bathroom with soaking tub and walk-in shower. The suite is large enough for 2 or 3 to comfortably stay. The bedroom has a large King size bed (made up of two twin beds), sliding doors separates bedroom from living room with its own sofa. The sofa has a pullout bed for even more sleeping area. Table comfortably sits 4. Use it to eat or work. Access to high-speed internet, TV with Netflix. The suite is a separate living area on the lower level, secluded from the owners living upstairs. The suite is on the ground level, with its own private entrance and stone patio for privacy and views.
  • Chien was the best airbnb host I've ever had! My plane arrived much later than expected, and she was still there at 11:30 PM to welcome my sister and me, and show us around the property. She let us hang out with her dog, Nino, gave me hiking tips, and even brought us mooncakes for breakfast. The property itself is breathtaking, and very close to town. I would recommend a 4x4 for the winter, as the driveway can be quite snowy. Our stay was great, and I would stay there again!

  • Hidden gem, amazing views, perfect gateway from busy hustles of the city life. Romantic views, really a great place to relax. Can't wait to be back.

  • Chien and her place were just perfect for our stay in Boulder. Gorgeous setting; warm, inviting, safe, and comfortable. It provided everything we needed. I will definitely stay here when I return to Boulder.

  • Incredible location with great views and a very accosting host. Very close to downtown Boulder (Pearl Street). The space is as expected (bathroom is much better than expected) but you’ll be thrilled with the views and tranquility of the property. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else is Boulder.

    Seamus2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Chien’s home is magical. We couldn’t wait to return from our day’s activities. The property was impeccably clean, safe, and truly lovely. Chien was incredibly gracious and welcoming to boot. If you’re looking for a serene retreat with gorgeous views mere minutes from the city, look no further.

    Sandra2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful get away amidst the mountains, all the while being only 10 min drive or so to the Boulder. Would definitely recommend to anyone who want to getaway from it all but still being close enough drive to Boulder for restaurants and night life!

    Jay2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Location and Views!! This property is located at the top of a mountain only 4 miles from Boulder. There are views all around, especially from the unique deck. At night you can see Boulder all lit up. Spectacular! It is a spacious suite that was sparking clean. Chien is a gracious and accommodating host. I felt that it was important to her that we were comfortable and had a good stay. We were visiting for family weekend at CU and it was so nice to escape the crowds and activity in this mountain retreat that was only a few miles from the action. I sincerely hope that we have the opportunity to stay here again. It really made our weekend feel like a unique experience.

Newly remodeled 2000sq' apartment that is the upstairs of our home plus a large downstairs bedroom. The expansive great room and gourmet kitchen have views over Sunshine Canyon and Denver. The property is adjacent to open space and hiking trails and is perfect for a retreat. There is a self-contained apartment downstairs that is a dedicated rental and has no shared spaces, patios, or keys. The apartment will be occupied during Summer 2020 by our tenant and friend Julie.
This peaceful mountain home features an expansive deck, great room, and gourmet kitchen with views over Sunshine Canyon and Denver. The property is adjacent to open space and hiking trails and is perfect for a retreat. This stylish home has glowing pine floors upstairs and natural saltillo tiles downstairs, and stainless steel appliances throughout. It has everything you'll need for a vacation or stay near Boulder. Guest amenities: There are two bathrooms and two bedrooms upstairs. The upstairs bedrooms include a large room with private deck, one with a queen bed, one twin day bed, and master bath. The second upstairs bedroom or kids' room has two twin beds. The second bathroom is in the upstairs hall and has a clawfoot tub with shower. Downstairs there is a large bedroom with a queen bed furnished with a sofa and desk and there are French doors to a lower level patio. All linens are high quality white cotton and used by our guests only. This is a non-smoking house. We don't have a TV but we do have business-class WIFI so bring your screens with you or enjoy reading in one of the rocking chairs or swinging bench on the front porch. About us: Owners Mindy and Ben were married in Sunshine just down the road at a vacation rental in 2009 and have lived in this home since 2014 with our 3 kids & dog. We love the area, especially going for walks so you'll see descriptions of our favorite trails in guide book we've created. During the summer months we travel to care for my elderly mom on her Central Coast ranch. Our wonderful neighbor Eleanor manages the house and lives just 10 minutes down the road. Our downstairs tenant Julie is a wonderful resource too. Professional cleaning & linen service is by Norma who has done an expert job for several years. Where exactly? We are in the foothills 25 minutes from downtown Boulder, CO and another 2500' up at the "Sunshine Saddle" elevation 7500' where several trails start off to local peaks, mining areas, and other historic former mining towns. Trails including both hiking and biking to Left Hand Canyon, Butzel Hill, Lee Hill, and Sunshine. Access is via a winding mountain road and 2 miles of County maintained dirt road and the trip door to door to Pearl Street in Downtown is 25 minutes. In summer, any car can make the drive but you may be more comfortable with an AWD vehicle. We're a very pretty 1 hour drive from Rocky Mountain National Park, and an easy trip to Boulder. Pets? Dogs are welcome! We have a large crate that are happy to point you towards or you can simply leave them inside when you aren't around as long as you assume responsibility for their behavior and damages. The yard is not fenced. Please do not use the people blankets as dog blankets or allow dogs on the furniture. The trails near the house are all dog-friendly (and off-leash) but be aware of wildlife from skunks to bears. Who else is around? There is a separate one bedroom apartment in the home's downstairs that is self-contained and has no shared spaces. Our tenant Julie & her two older dogs will be living downstairs in the downstairs apartment during summer 2020. She has lived in Sunshine for many years (and has in the past managed vacation rentals too). Please respect her space as she will respect yours. There are no shared spaces in the house and the apartment has its own patio under the main deck. Neighborhood houses are visible, from about 1/8 to 1/2 mile away but the setting is peaceful and private.
The historic mining town of Sunshine is located about 25 minutes from downtown Boulder up a winding mountain road. On the way to our place you'll pass the stone schoolhouse, log cabins, and old mines. In recent times, folks have built new houses to enjoy the views of the high country and sunny weather. After the 2010 Four Mile Canyon Fire, our area suffered the loss of many homes and you'll see rebuilding as well as areas with scorched trees to the south. We are located at the boundary of the fire area and seeing the wildflowers and wildlife come back into the burn areas is hopeful and beautiful. If you continue up hill on the main Sunshine Canyon Drive you'll reach Gold Hill which features a bar and restaurant. The road continues on to Ward and the Peak to Peak.
  • Mindy’s home is awesome! We enjoyed several hiking trails right out her back door. The view of the mountains and Denver was spectacular. Her home was very spacious for our family of 7. Our cell service and internet worked great. We cooked most of our meals in her kitchen which is well stocked with pots/pans and other cooking items. The home is definitely in a remote location, but it’s exactly what we were looking for. If you are looking to stay somewhere “off the grid” I highly recommend Mindy’s home.

  • Fantastic place!

    Craig2019-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • Really nice house with lovely views of the mountains. Open plan kitchen and dining area, with deck outside. Kitchen is fully equipped . About 25 mins drive from Boulder. Dirt road for last mile or so but we had no problems in 2wd. Would gladly stay again!

    David2019-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • Mindy’s home was the perfect place to get away and relax. The views were great, there was plenty of hiking right outside of the house, we saw plenty of wildlife, and the dogs were able to roam! The house was very clean and had everything we needed. We would be thrilled to stay again in the future!

    Jessica2018-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect spot to spend some off the beatin' path time. The house is set up to make you feel like you're coming into your own house.

    Chuck2018-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • This property exceeded our expectations, and they were already high as a result of the beautiful pictures online. The mountain views are stunning, the gardens are lovely, it’s very quiet and the air is so fresh. Our family enjoyed hiking, horseback riding, shopping in Estes Park and Boulder. But we made sure to spend plenty of time in and around this gorgeous home. The kids and adults became interested in the gold mining history of the area, and the book available with historic photos was fascinating. It’s an enjoyable drive from Boulder, and we combined cooking at home in the lovely kitchen with eating out. We all loved seeing the hummingbirds, rabbit, lizard and chipmunks. And deer coming and going! The hostess provided clear detailed instructions, dining tips and advice. Contact information was provided for her and that of a close neighbor. We felt safe and welcomed. All this with the Denver skyline visible in the distance! Would highly recommend.

    John2018-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • If you want a quiet place to stay, this is the place. We enjoyed the hummingbirds that came to greet us every day. I would definitely stay there again!

We converted an 1860's barn into a quiet mountain home, ranchito & art studio 20 min from DT Boulder. Enjoy a private bedroom w/ an attached bunk room with 2 twin mattresses on the floor & PRIVATE bathroom. Relax in our living, kitchen/dining room & gardens. Visit our chickens & goats! Our house and property have been used for movie and TV locations. CHILDREN UNDER FIVE ARE FREE
My husband is a professional sculptor with many of his pieces located in and around our home. His artistic gift is on display in each room of our converted 1860's barn. On our property was a pioneer homestead called the Stage Stop. It is complete with the remains of a blacksmith's workshop, cabin and out buildings.
We are a friendly mountain neighborhood. We all know each other and are quick to give directions to newcomers. Several hiking paths cross our property for short or long outings. We are close to (half hour) Eldora Ski Resort, the famous Nederland Carousel of Happiness, Idaho Hot Springs and Central City gambling. Not to mention all of the ongoing cultural, gastronomical and sports events in the Boulder and Denver area.

  • The art and cozy nature of Jesse and Valerie's place was the perfect spot to welcome the new year

    Peter2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed my stay with Valerie and Jesse. They are such gracious and interesting hosts. There are beautiful hikes right out the front door. Valerie is famous for her ‘Get Up and Goat’ hike. The four goats follow along as Valerie shows the vestiges of the area’s colorful mining/outlaw history. Jesse is a talented sculptor, with many pieces adorning the property. He also makes a tasty and hearty breakfast. Lovely people who are happy to share their slice of paradise. Thanks guys, I shall definitely return.

    Neil2019-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • 10/10 such a great place! It’s beautiful inside and out. Valerie and Jesse make you feel completely comfortable and taken care of! Valerie has so much knowledge and enthusiasm about the area that you can’t find elsewhere! And Jesse is a master professional sculptor! They are both lovely people. Stay here if you get the chance.

    Sydney2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • This is a home we'll most certainly return to. Jesse and Valerie are so smart, warm and welcoming. The breakfasts were outstanding! The first day we had Huevos Rancheros with homemade everything including eggs gathered that morning from Valerie's chickens. The quiche our second day was great and sadly we had to leave early and missed the third day of eggs benedict. Part of the joy of this visit were the goats, four of them. Valerie leads a "Get Up and Goat" tour of the mountain. We joined a tour and enjoyed her old mining stories and the goats with their bells. You can find her tour on AirBnB Adventures. It is THE most popular tour in Colorado. Well worth it and she's constantly booked with good reason. All in all this was a gem of a visit. Thanks to you both.

    Jane2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • This was such a lovely and interesting stay. Jesse made us the very best breakfast each morning, and it was so nice to wake up to each day. Our favorite morning was spent reading before joining Valerie’s hiking experience with her goats, and it is the perfect distance from Rocky Mountain National Park, Stanley Hotel, etc. I absolutely recommend this stay, we hated to leave.

    Mallory2019-10-15T00:00:00Z

    Marcia2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful gem! We will be back! Jesse and Valerie are awesome and their unique home provided a very pleasant stay. Jesse made some amazing huevos rancheros and we were looking forward to his omelettes the second morning, but due to unforeseen circumstances we weren’t able to stay the second night - we will be back for those omelettes I hope!! The hospitality was fantastic.

Fifteen minutes from Boulder, Richard built his one-of-a-kind 1,600 s.f. home with panoramic views of the wilderness at 7,600 feet, below Sugarloaf Mountain, overlooking Dream Canyon & the Lost Angel granite cliffs above Boulder Falls. It reads like a fairy tale — it feels like that too — see the guest comments. This peaceful, open concept, 1 level home; is fully enveloped by the Roosevelt National Forest is a relaxing, get-away-from-it-all place. He now spends summers in Brazil with his love.
Due to the coronavirus, we’re taking extra care to disinfect frequently touched surfaces between reservations. The tranquility of the home and its location is so serene and peaceful it will leave you completely relaxed. A great place for a staycation or work from home. Feel the grandeur from each window — mountains, the continental divide, cliffs, sunrises, sunsets, and the intensity of stars (remember the Milky Way?). Google “The most beautiful rock climbing spots near Boulder” and you’ll see the cliffs in the front yard. An outdoor dining table gives a ringside seat to the rock climbers, occasional slack-liners, and the abundant wildlife that passes through the property. Hummingbirds, Moose, Deer, Fox, Coyotes, Golden Eagles, Bears (rarely), and Elk (seasonal). Feel the quiet mingling with the soothing sounds of North Boulder Creek. One level, flagstone floors, 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, & a multi-purpose room (3rd bedroom, dining room, and/or office). The master bedroom has a walk-in shower and soaking tub. The bedrooms, great room, & entrance have doors to allow direct outside access. The home has everything you need; bring your clothes, toiletries and a stop in town for groceries before heading up and it's your home away from home. There is a free full size front loading Washer and Dryer for your use during your stay with detergent. Pick fresh herbs from the garden; Chives, Sage, Mint, Thyme, Lavender, Hops and rhubarb patch. Donna (the manager), lives a few minutes away, and will greet you at the main road on arrival and handle all things locally. If your group is larger than 6, Donna can tell you about an adjacent rental home that sleeps four. It’s a great base for visiting Boulder, Nederland, and all the surrounding areas have to offer! Hiking & biking trails, kayaking, & paragliding are all nearby. The Switzerland Trail, Sugarloaf Mountain Trail, Dream Canyon & Betasso Preserve are all on Sugarloaf. The home is encircled by Mt. Pisgah, Comforter Mtn., Peewink Mtn., Bald Mtn., Sugarloaf Mtn. and is minutes from Brainard Lake. Take a short drive to Indian Peaks, the Continental Divide, and Fourth of July trail near Eldora. Estes Park & Rocky Mountain National Park is 45 miles away (~1 hr. 15 min.) via the Peak-to-Peak highway — a beautiful drive. About 1 hour — 45 miles to the Denver Airport. Fifteen minutes to Boulder or Nederland for shopping & restaurants.
The home is located in the foothills of Boulder just 16 minutes from Downtown Boulder or Nederland and is surround by National Forest open space. Dream Canyon is renowned for its Rock Climbing and Slack-lining is in the front yard. The home offers a get-away-from-it-all feeling both inside and outside the home.
  • I loved staying here! The quiet and solitude and beautiful view were exactly what I needed. Nearby to hikes, 30 mins to boulder, and the snow made for gorgeous landscapes. Donna was very helpful and easy to communicate with. I would definitely come back!

  • The pictures provided do not do this home and it’s view justice. Absolutely breathtaking. The owners were so helpful and responded quickly. Would definitely come back. One tip: it’s a difficult drive up to the house, particularly in the dark and/or the snow so I would highly highly recommend a 4x4 vehicle and snow tires if you’re there during snow season.

  • Awesome place the views are amazing and definitely are worth the adventurous drive in getting to the home. I would definitely stay here again my wife and I loved it.

  • This place will blow your mind. We’ve stayed in many places here and abroad over the decades, and Richard’s home tops the list. Gorgeous view is an understatement. You’ll see heavenly sunrises and sunsets, watch mountain climbers scale the rock face, enjoy cool breezes, and gaze at the stars in wonder. If you love to read, then Richards library is pure gold. My favorite part besides the breathtaking surroundings. Regardless of your expectations going in, your stay here will exceed everything you imagine. Be sure to hike to the top of Sugarloaf mountain. 360 degree view of pure majestic beauty.

  • If you're looking for a private and secluded place to stay you will enjoy your stay. The views from every window are amazing, the picture don't do it justice.

    Jonathan2019-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • My two friends and I stayed at the house at the beginning of September and we had an amazing time. The pictures do not do the view justice. It is breathtaking. We dealt with Donna and she was delightful and very helpful. We had an issue where the propane for the grill was empty and she was able to fix the issue in less than an hour. The house is a decent distance from the downtown area so getting transportation in and out of town was difficult but it did not detract from the experience. I would definitely stay here again.

    Alex2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • The view is amazing! So peaceful!

    Keith2019-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • The serenity and amazing views are beyond special. If you are looking for a peaceful, private get away in the midst of beautiful nature this is the place. The communication with the host and his team was wonderful, super responsive. We would definitely stay there again in the future.

    Brad2019-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • As expected, thanks much!

    Matt2019-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Donna and Michael’s place is wonderful. The room is comfortable and spacious, and it feels very private being situated downstairs, apart from the family’s primary space. We spent the day in Rocky Mountains National Park, a quick 45 minute drive from the house. We would definitely stay here again. My one recommendation is to familiarize yourself with directions to the house; my phone lost signal about 30 minutes away from the house and didn’t reconnect until we had gone almost 40 minutes past our turn.

    Ellina2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Sugarloaf Mountain had the best views. It was a treat to see the stars every night and experience the silence. A great place to disconnect and recharge. Don't pass up on this property.

Custom remodeled modern cedar A Frame. Completely private, nestled in the middle of 12 acres only 15 minutes from downtown Boulder or 40 minutes to Denver. Cedar Japanese Hot tub (ofuro) and seasonal outdoor shower over looking the creek. I've spent the last decade designing the perfect retreat, a place to relax, unwind or write your next novel. Enjoy The Rusty Skillet Ranch.
One of the few completely private mountain homes close to Boulder. Enjoy solitude perched above 4 mile creek.
15 minute drive to Boulder on paved roads.
  • A beautiful home, nestled in the Canyons right outside Boulder. Everything is new and clean and well-designed. The hot tub was a highlight, a fancy cedar kind that smelled like Colorado. The bath & showers were lovely, especially the product assortment. Would be great for a weekend getaway for a couple or group of friends, probably not that small-kid friendly, although they'd probably enjoy the goats and chickens on the property! We had a few small issues but they were super responsive and took care of them. Note that while there is good WiFi on the property, there isn't any cell reception.

    Jenny2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Mariana is an excellent host. The house is beautiful. The views are incredible. Great mountain getaway.

    Mike2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • If you see the pictures and your soul tugs you...if you read the bio and you just feel like this is right... Ya, this is the place to stay. The atmosphere is very peaceful, relaxed and it’s easy to feel comfortable here. Mariana and Morgan are super helpful with any questions you may have or if you need suggestions for anything. The house and location are absolutely beautiful! From the light bouncing off the mountains to the wrap around deck, two friendly cats and everything you need to cook your own meals... it really feels like a home away from home. Chances are if you were drawn to ALMA, you will feel like you are going to stay with your best friends that you haven’t seen in a long time. So glad I had the opportunity to stay here and meet some really great people along the way!

  • Loved my stay at Mariana’s place. It’s a beautiful spot, the nature is amazing. I was looking to get away from things for a little bit and really got some good R&R. The bedroom was great, bed was comfortable, and the cats are really snuggly and fun. Can’t wait to stay here again.

    Panos2020-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had the most wonderful time at Mariana's lovely, warm and magical place in the mountains outside Boulder. Mariana's hospitality is outstanding and she did much more than we ever could have expected to make us feel at home. Joining one of her tea ceremonies was a memorable addition to an overall great experience, which cannot be recommend highly enough to anyone looking for a refuge in a quiet and beautiful mountain scenery.

    Kim2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • The breath taking view from the living room is the best. I couldn’t get enough of it. The girls had asked any questions before I could even ask. They anticipated everything and went above and beyond. I can’t wait to go back to the mountains.

    Perla2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Mariana and Morgan's home was the best part of my trip to Boulder. Their home is so quiet and peaceful, and it was amazing to stay in the mountains surrounded by such stunning land. Mariana's dinner and tea ceremonies were warm and hospitable - especially as a solo traveler I loved the chance to connect with the host and another guest. Also fell in love with the two sweetest cats! I hope to come back someday :)

    Nikki2019-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • You cannot beat the views from the wrap around porch on this house, my friend and I absolutely loved it! The house was quiet and in the woods but close drive to Boulder and the Rockies. The check in was easy and we loved the recommendations the host gave us. Would definitely come back!
