This is a quiet rural neighborhood. You might not see many people at all, maybe some if you choose to take a walk and check things out. Great place to walk your dog! There are some great little hikes around. We will be more than happy to give you directions. Very occasionally wildlife can be seen or heard in the area.
  • Adorable place, plenty of room, clean, welcoming, private, easy to find, easy to get to Santa Fe!!! We loved Ewa and Pete's place and will definitely return. It was the perfect weekend getaway!!

  • It was a beautiful 3 days to stay. A very nice country house just at the bottom of the mountain. Awesome. 100% recommended! Ewa and Pete, you are the best! Our 4 kids enjoyed it so much! Next time We will stay at your house again! ;-)

  • A wonderful place to stay! Laid-back, very comfortable, peaceful digs run by phenomenally helpful, responsive people. We lucked-out when we found this place. We rented the suite for two months and highly recommend it.

  • Great stay. Stars were incredible at night. Cute little yard for kids and puppy. Private location but easy drive to downtown Santa Fe.

  • This is a great guest suite attached to Ewa and Peter's house, with a peaceful porch and nice garden. Expansive inside with all you could want in terms of amenities. We had a great time there and exploring the area, with the help of Ewa's suggestions and a load of guidebooks that she left in the suite for us.

    Luke2019-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • Ewa and Pete are extremely gracious hosts. They have a nicely furnished, roomy and cozy place in the mountains outside of Sante Fe. It is rustic and clean. The grounds are very relaxing, surrounded by pine trees and hummingbirds. Ewa and Pete are very kind. They made us feel welcome. Ewa gave us suggestions of local sites and Pete used his mechanical know how when my rental car gave me problems. (He really got me out of a bind). They are a 15 minute (beautiful) drive to Sante Fe. We loved every moment in their home.

    Michael2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Ewa’s place was as cosy as expected. She was on hand to give us excellent tips about where to go, and also always answered my emails very quickly. We loved watching the hummingbirds come to the feeders on the veranda and at the back of the house.

    Harriet2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was amazing. With 5 people and 2 dogs there was more than enough room for all of us. The property has amazing views. Would recommend for someone visiting Santa Fe wanting something outside of the city. Will come back.

Beautiful, spacious, light filled room with it's own private entrance. Best of both worlds - nature's beauty and a quick commute to downtown! Comfy bed and lots of amenities. Large bathroom with step-in shower, plenty of storage for you to unpack. Big closet, plus mini-fridge, microwave, and Keurig coffeemaker. We supply your first morning's coffee, juice, cream/sugar, and pastry. The room has a private entrance off the back patio. Your well-behaved dog is welcome. Yard is not fenced.
The home is located 18 miles from historic Santa Fe on 12 acres of wooded property. You get the best of both worlds...country life with close proximity to all that Santa Fe has to offer. Acres of hiking trails, close to the Pecos River, Pecos National Historic Park, and the Glorieta Civil War battlefield. If you are traveling with large vehicles, there is plenty of parking. Horse people can tie their ride up on the property, or (with permission) use the round pen next door.
Historic Glorieta is a rural community, with a mixture of large homes and manufactured homes. Glorieta Estates, where the home is located, is a community of approximately 30 homes set at the base of the Glorieta Mesa. The property is isolated enough that you cannot see the neighbors, yet close enough to I25 to make the trip into town quite convenient. There is a small community (Eldorado) about 8 miles away which offers groceries, some excellent restaurants, a brew pub, shops, and other amenities.
  • A little piece of solitary heaven ☺️ This was my first air bnb experience and it exceeded expectation!

    Cat2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic hosts and beautiful place and scenery. Perfect weekend.

    Elizabeth2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • We love the Glorieta location for the place we stay when visiting Santa Fe - it is so close, yet so beautiful and rural. Toby's place is really clean and private, and has a very comfortable bed! We highly recommend it!

    Deb2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • We were very happy with our stay at Toby’s place. Beautiful setting and a very clean well appointed guest suite. The hosts are very nice people and were helpful and accommodating. They have been thoughtful and supplied many nice amenities. We highly recommend this property. Nothing not to like here.

    Rick2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely gorgeous location up in the pine topped hills of Glorieta. Super nice hosts and a tidy room with most everything you need. Comfortable sized space for 2 people. The space is located just Northeast of Santa Fe but it's still fast and easy (about 20 minutes) to get back into town. This place is a good choice if you want to enjoy the city and then retreat back to a quiet wooded space. A simply great place to stay when you're in northern NM.

    Cab2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Sometimes the stars align. 😊This is a great place to stay. You can't go wrong. Santa Fe was 20 minutes away and the drive there was wonderful. Toby and Jim are some of the best people I've ever met. This place is a true gem. Thanks a million you guys.

    Tod2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • You can expect wonderful hospitality and virtually EVERY need already anticipated and already provided for. I was attending a wedding at camp Glorieta and this location was just ten minutes down the road, so it was absolutely perfect. They provided everything I could have possibly wanted, from a mini fridge and Keurig to a hair straightener, of all things (and I had forgotten mine, so I was so pleased!)! The room was perfectly clean and comfortable and homey. They asked periodically if there was anything else they could do to make my stay better. Only thing I can think of is maybe leaving a million bucks on my pillow?? Toby and Jim have glowing reviews, and there’s a reason: they’re wonderful hosts!! You will not regret staying with them!!!

    Katherine2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Toby and Jim’s place was absolutely wonderful!! There were so many small you touches that made our stay enjoyable. I stayed with my husband and 1 year old daughter. There’s plenty of room for a packnplay (I brought my own) and it was so nice to be out of the way a bit and enjoy nature. There’s a beautiful hiking area right behind their house and was a nice place for us to explore. Toby’s dogs are the sweetest too. I highly recommended this place. It really is a sanctuary!

Spacious suite with queen size bed, kitchenette, large flat screen TV/Roku, WiFi, table & chairs, vanity, kiva fireplace (gas), bathroom, own outside entrance, access to patio and BBQ (shared with family) and parking. Located in single family home on 2 acre fully fenced and gated property in rural residential neighborhood.
On two acres of piñon, juniper and pine forest between Rowe Mesa and the Sange de Cristo mountains, our property is host to flocks of native birds and other wildlife. Our 17 raised organic garden beds and other landscaping features create a peaceful environment. The suite is spacious and comfortable with all amenities found in a small apartment except for a stove. The covered patio (shared with hosts) is a comfortable place to bird watch and enjoy the mountain air. The Pecos National Historic Park is a short drive away as are the many outdoor activities available: hiking, fishing, rock climbing, picnicking, and sightseeing. Santa Fe, Espanola, Los Alamos, and Taos are 20 to 70 mile drives away. There are several historic parks, national and state parks and multiple museums in the area. Indian pueblos, historic sites and multiple ethnic and cultural events abound to delight tourists and history buffs alike.
Our neighborhood abuts the Pecos National Historic Park within view of the Sanger de Christo mountains and Rowe Mesa. The area is classified as high desert and transitional. At 6900 ft. We enjoy a mixed piñon, juniper and pine forest along with sagebrush, cactus, chamisa, and other dry land vegetation. The community is culturally diverse, friendly and has a mixture of people who work locally and those who commute to Santa Fe and Las Vegas (NM) for work.
  • Joanne"s place is without exception one of the absolute BEST I've stayed at using airbnb (and I use it a lot!!). Joanne's kindness and warmth is what stands out. AND the space is excellent too. Very spacious with everything you need. A very comfortable bed (which has always been important to me) The location for us was perfect to use as a place to 'head out touring' from. I highly recommend Joanne's place.

    Susan2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Joanne's home is a perfect getaway for traveling around New Mexico. Well situated to get around numerous hot springs. Joanne was a very informative host and gave us many useful tips for our day in Santa FE, we had a wonderful time at the hot spring she recommended us go to. I love the extra large shower they have! Definitely would stay here again next time we are in the area.

    Phil2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • I had a wonderful time at Joanne’s house, the unit is extremely well equipped with everything you need and more. Highly recommended stay I. The greater Santa Fe area.

    Yoram2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • This is such a lovely and peaceful space, Joanne practiced kind and attentive hospitality, checking in and making sure everything was all good. Very serene and comfortable place. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

    Stacy2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Once again, a great stay at Joanne's place.

Our place is close to public transport. You’ll love the place because of the ambiance, good for solo adventurers and business travelers. There is a sunshield to prevent excessive heat during the day plus an extractor fan in the skylight. There are no drapes but you'll be quite far enough from the road for the unlikelihood of peeping passers-by (!) and the morning sun should greet you filtered through the great pinon tree.
  • A beautiful place to stay! I loved being in the sunroom where I could watch the moon at night and wake up with the sunshine. All of the instructions were very clear and the host made me feel very comfortable. It's a great way to experience Santa Fe!

    Elizabeth2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you, Christopher! Delightful stay with music, sun in the morning, stars at night. Such great energy in the house. Would highly recommend.

    Antonia2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • My stay with Chris was fantastic! His home has wonderful decor and a great ambience. Evefything from the bedrooms, to the kitchen, to the bathroom was spotless! The sun room was very comfortable and much roomier than the picture suggests. The location was great (very central to food, drink, and attractions). I will certainly stay again if I am in town.

    Terry2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Christopher is a wonderful host. He's warm and kind and has a lovely home. Anyone will enjoy their stay at this place

    Nandita2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Christopher was a wonderful host, and the sun room was an incredible place to wake up to each morning!

    Arcelia2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly as described, the sunroom is a small, beautiful room with a comfortable bed, a down quilt, and a sense of sleeping in the manzanitas among stars and moon at night, waking to sunshine. Christopher is an excellent host, calm and good natured. It's a gorgeous house, both in Santa Fe style and European feel. The room can be cold at night (there's a good little space heater) and hot in the day, so it's best if you love natural surroundings.

    Molly2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • This place is awesome! I loved the sunroom! Such a good idea and nice escape from the noise. I enjoyed all the windows :)

    Wyatt2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Christopher is a very communicative and thoughtful host. It was a great place to land for a night in Santa Fe.

Our place in Our Crooked House is an entire 900sq ft apt attached to our owner built and lived in home. The bedroom is upstairs with a large deck overlooking Ojo de la Vaca Mesa. The sunrise and sunset colors make for a magical sky! Downstairs is a full kitchen and bath with two 15x15 rooms to relax in and enjoy the view. Couches, table, chairs, wood stove and art work from our from our friends! Stars abound in the night sky. Contact us beforehand if you have pets-before confirming reservation.
We have 2 dogs and 2 cats the roam about our 2 1/2 acres-they are friendly and funny. We have however realized that our female husky/Shepard mix is very territorial with other dogs especially female and smaller breads. Please contact Dennis before booking if you have animals you are bringing, if by chance you have pets and don’t have a conversation about them with Dennis and go ahead and book your reservation, I will expect you to cancel immediately. If you choose to wait passed the day you booked and my day is blocked because of this, there will be an immediate cancellation fee of $50 , if it proceeds to the next day, the cancellation fee will be the full rate. I say this because I leave pets an option and some pet owners are absolutely fine with the circumstance they are bringing their pets into, others just go ahead and book, which is not acceptable and then proceed to not cancel, leaving days blocked where we could have had other people book. We are on a dirt road so sports cars or low clearance cars will NOT be happy finding us. We are about 15 minutes to Santa Fe either by I-25 or Old Las Vegas Hwy. Cafe Fina is minutes away, as well as The Santa Fe Brewery Taproom in Eldorado. There is a lovely grocery store and gas station nearby.
Dennis built our adobe house 21+ years ago. It's Our Crocked House because over the years it has settled in its own wonky way giving it...character!
  • We loved our stay at the Crooked House! Dennis was very friendly and quick to communicate. The dogs are such sweethearts and greeted us whenever we pulled in. The location was great, close enough to Santa Fe but secluded and peaceful. Relaxing by the wood stove made for a great change of pace for us.

    Erick2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Surpassed my already high expectations. The Crooked House was so quaint and had the coziest atmosphere and NM style that we love! Dennis is great and knew we'd check in late and started a fire for us so the house was warm upon arrival! Wish we had more time to spend there. Can't wait to be back! Thank you!

    Eden2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • I can’t recommend the Crooked House enough. Dennis and Nicole have created such a cozy, hygge vibe in the space. From handmade ceramics created by Nicole and other local artisans, to the ample supply of books and blankets, it really feels like a home. I stayed in January, and personally loved the wood burning stove. It was a nice ritual to get it started every morning. Also, they have the sweetest dogs that I befriended :) During my stay, Dennis was very helpful and responsive. He checked in multiple times to make sure I was comfortable. He came by mid week to restock my firewood, empty the ash from the wood burning stove and replenish other supplies. The location was ideal - a short and pleasant 20-25 minute drive from downtown Santa Fe. This made staying here feel like more of a relaxing getaway. I’ll definitely be coming back to Santa Fe, and when I do, I’ll be staying at the Crooked House.

    Vanessa2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • Dennis's place has a real whimsical, bohemian vibe. It is the perfect place to get away from it all and relax. There is tons of space and an abundance of books and blankets! The location is right off i25 so it is super easy to get to the house, and is just a quick 15 min drive from downtown Santa Fe. As mentioned in the description, the house is located on a dirt road so you definitely want to take a car that can a bumpy handle a dirt (mud or snow) road. Overall such a wonderful spot, we would definitely stay at Dennis's again!

    Arielle2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • The Crooked House is excellent. Off the beaten path of the city. From the friendly pupper greetings upon arrival, to Dennis's helpful tips for the wood stove our stay was lovely! We were able to get in and out of the city while enjoying the quite calm the crooked house has to offer. Just be aware it is an unpaved road about a half mile up to the house, but our little sedan still made it up in the mud. Unique, charming, with the added benefit of a friendly host: we could not reccomend this place enough!

    Sarah2019-11-21T00:00:00Z
  • It has a laid back “true vacation” feel but close enough to sante fe to enjoy the city life

    Radiance2019-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • I am so glad I booked this place. It was a great home base to explore Santa Fe and the surrounding area while still being out of downtown enough to feel peaceful and relaxed. I love unique Airbnbs and this was one of my favorites. The views from the deck off the bedroom are amazing, the bed is quite comfortable, and the homey downstairs areas are full of character and light. Definitely recommend!

  • I thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The room was comfortable and clean and the hospitality was warm and genuine. The home was charming and James makes an awesome cinnamon roll. I will definitely stay again if in the area. James’s Place was a great value.

  • Our stay was great we have 2 dogs and 4 guests who stayed comfortable the whole time. It was so amazing! Clean, colorful, cozy, respectful of the commons area.. we even got a chance to light the firepit on a beautiful night! We will definitely come back and recommend!

    Leeandra2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • James’s place is the most kind and wonderful and thoughtful place I have been at while traveling Air B & B, in terms of hospitality. The price is more than fair and the space is large and comfortable. My stay with James was like being in Gods house and I feel very blessed to have had the time I did with he and his lovely wife. The cinnamon roll and the lights being left on for me and especially James getting up early to see me off made my trip extraordinary! All of my love and gratitude James and Jenny

Very quiet, 1000 ft of living space, perfect location - 3 mi frm the plaza, easy access to I-25 and 285 . Off street parking. Friendly cat shares the space. Close to Ten Thousand Waves, Santa Fe Photographic Workshops, St. John's College, Santa Fe Opera and Santa Fe Institute. Bedroom w/ queen bed, Living rm, kitchen, 2 private gardens. Lots of natural light! worldwide photos and artifacts throughout. Washer dryer available for a fee of $4/ load... we are in a desert, use water wisely.
This charming house has a cozy interior, comfy queen-sized bed, kitchen, living and dining room and a private front garden, back patio and large back yard that opens to open space with a bike path just across the arroyo. The kitchen is well equipped, My home is in this quiet residential neighborhood. It is less than a block from neighborhood parks, a walking/bike trail and city bus stops and the new kiss and ride train station is about a quarter mile away, an easy walk. It's a lovely place for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. The optional 2nd bedroom has a single bed with a trundel single for a fee. The laundry room is shared however if your stay is short will never be used while you are there, if longer than a week then Karen, the manager will make arrangements with you when you will not be there so really it is never used when you are there. Please note that Kitty ... the resident cat... does share the space with you!
This is a nice quiet neighborhood. The backyard backs up to an arroyo with walking and biking trails on the far side of it. The bike trails actually go all the way downtown, about 2 1/2 miles. There is an Albertsons walking distance to the house on St Francis and Zia along with little eateries. Personally I usually go downtown to some of our wonderful New Mexican restaurants or to Harry's Roadhouse. We are happy to give you hints or help choosing places to visit, eat or explore. In the winter or summer we are just 35 minutes from the ski basin, perfect for skiing, snow shoeing, hiking or viewing the aspens. Ten Thousand waves is on the way back for the perfect end to a day outdoors. Museum HIll is just 5 minutes away with world class museums. The Plaza and Canyon Road are less than 10- minutes away with all they have to offer - galleries, museums, artisans, restaurants...
  • This is a lovely and comfortable house. Super convenient to the downtown area, and we we were able to walk to the station to catch the commuter train when we decided to spend a day in Albuquerque. The neighborhood is quiet and the house is private. A nice place to unwind after a day of sightseeing. It was so nice to have coffee on the counter and lots of local information to browse. Kitty the cat was a lovely host and kindly submitted to a lot of petting. She made the house even more homey. We would like to return, and will recommend Kim’s place to anyone vacationing in Santa Fe.

This is one of 3 bedrooms I list when my entire home isn’t booked. Your bedroom is totally private and you have access to the rest of the home, bathroom, living room , kitchen, laundry room and outside. I live in the master wing which has its own exterior entrance and is locked off from the rest of the house. I’ll meet you if possible and then let you be to relax. I’m 5 minutes behind Harry’s roadhouse restaurant off old Santa Fe trail.. 10 minutes straight to the plaza.
This is a double wall adobe home with all wood ceilings and Italian plaster through out. I’ve renovated every square inch. My home is beautiful.. quiet and relaxing and soft.... Has I said you share the beautiful common areas. I’ve been a super host for 3 years, you can read the 320 reviews by clicking onto read “other reviews “. I want to offer a inexpensive yet beautiful bedroom to travelers who want to experience and true Santa Fe style home...
I’m 10 minutes DIRECTLY to the plaza straight down old Santa Fe trail. My home is located in a secret village at the end of old Santa Fe trail... Canada de Los Alamos.. I say secret because so few people ever come out here.. hence so quiet.

  • This house is an awesome place to stay in a really secluded, private area. The home’s history really adds to the majesty of where you are. We had everything we needed and more, plus plenty of space to hike and explore with my dogs. The home is decorated so perfectly with antiques and is extremely warm and welcoming. The sun room was our favorite for just enjoying the view and the ambience. We will most definitely be staying here again in the future, what a great place to see northern New Mexico!

  • I loves my stay with my dog! A very quiet and charming place. Excellent location if you’d like to be just outside the city. Brenda was quick to respond to questions and the house was clean!

  • Quaint house. Just off the freeway so convenient. Brenda communicated well & was helpful in leading me to a restaurant. I would stay here again.

  • Christopher is an excellent host. His home is convenient to downtown and yet has a rural atmosphere. He offers a variety of rooms from a double bed room with private bath and TV, to a small room for 1 person with a shared bath. Christopher's place is my go-to home in Santa Fe since 2015 when I first stayed with Christopher.

    Allen2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful home, easy to get to, plenty of parking. Christopher is extremely welcoming, would definitely stay again.

    Daniel2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Convenient, affordable, quiet place to stay in Santa Fe. This is my second visit.

    Kathleen2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • As someone who loves visual culture, I fell in love with Christopher's little Chapel Room, which he built specifically to accommodate a splendid carved Indonesian door he'd acquired. Walking through that doorway truly feels like you are entering a magic portal! Christopher provided all the amenities I needed, and I was grateful he was able to accommodate me at the last minute. I recommend.

    Diana2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • One of the most delightful 12-hour stays I'll ever have. Christopher is a wonderful host. The experience -- from his morning piano recital to his witty and hilarious real-life anecdotes--is one-of-a-kind. *This* is why we travel. If you pass up the opportunity to stay here, go ahead and start kicking yourself right now!

    Patrick2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great stay with Christopher. He has a beautiful house in a great location and everything was very clean and well kept. I would recommend staying here!

    Christian2020-02-15T00:00:00Z

  • Wish I could leave six stars instead of five! A cozy, light-filled space in a fabulously beautiful spot. Up on the mesa it feels like you can look out over the whole world; crows play in the updrafts and there were signs of coyotes & foxes. John was exceptionally helpful and even gave me a ride to the cottage.

    Brandon2019-11-21T00:00:00Z
  • Off the grid, on top of a mesa incredible view, amazing night sky! John's place is truly unique in all the right ways. As a host he was incredibly helpful and always responsive if I had questions. It was a great experience. Like other reviews I recommend a good car as parts of the road are rugged but otherwise enjoy!

    Phil2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Looking for an escape from the norm and a Digital Detox. You've found it. Nestled at the end of a long dirt road is a tiny piece of heaven - the cabin. Make sure you pack enough food for your stay because you won't want to leave. I recommend hiking boots over trail shoes or city sneakersas the terrain is prickly whenever it wants to be, but be not to step on a Phrynosoma cornutum (lizard), is frequently called a horny toad, and its genus directly translates to “toad-bodied,” ascribed to the lizard’s froglike broad body and awkward gait. However, I was able to let one crawl into the palm of my hand where it found comfort. The view from the cabin is breathtaking and only inspires you to get out into the easily hikeable mountains that engulf you with dainty flowers, cactus, and a variety trees and indigenous plant life. The cabin sits near a cliff where you can climb or sit and gaze at the sunset... maybe even build a towerwith the flat stones... not necessarily rock cairns. The cabin aka tiny house features equal living and patio space so on a cool evening you might want to sleep on the patio or just reclinein the zero gravity chairs and look and listen to the wild birds. The IKEA decor fits like your favorite bluejeans and there's everything you'll need or forgot (compass, Garmin GPS, hiking headlight, flashlight, binoculars, dog leash, dog bowl, dishes, coffee maker, cutting board, waist high refrigerator, pots/pans, glassware, plastic cups, cutlery, trash bags, toilet paper, paper towels, bath towels, camping lights, tea kettle, and more). The wifi speed is great and the electrical power is amazing for solar. Yep, off the grid but pure compliance with your needs. The compost toilet/bathroom is clean and has it's own crank out window to let your nature out. As well, the showeris clean with sliding glass door and has the same crank out window. The West facing wall is all oversized sliding glass doors with screens... the front door has a contemporary window cutout and a door screen as well which allows you to let the breeze pass through the cabin as well as the heat escape naturally for a sincere comfort. The IKEA futon bed is comfy and easily sleeps two. There is a small flatscreen TV that works fine, but you didn't come for that, so it tucks away on the wall hinges. There's a large wardrobe for hanging clothes and elfa drawers to keep organized. Also a small laptop if you thought you could leave "everything" behind. I'm a creative guy aka artistso my laptop is like a kid from the 70s with a 100 ct box of crayons... I gotta take my Mac laptop which came in handy as this was also a working trip for me of which I did so from the Cabin. I must say one would think I was watching a tennis match because my neck was torn between my computer screen and the beauty of the outdoors... needles to say I got my work done in a great mood, just faster. John is a source of energy planted by the creator of this universe and globe we call home. Upon my arrivalhe guided me in and we walked an talked for probably an houror more. He is a brilliant, caring and fascinating human you will never forget. To me he is like the older brother who only wants the best in life for you and you can feel this in his essence. I will be back and I will help John fulfill his dream of allowing others this experience only God can order. Thank you John, my newest friend and brother.

  • All the other 5 star reviews were accurate. This place is filled with stunning views and some much needed isolation. John was very hospitable and cared that we had a quality experience during our stay. Thanks again John!

    Blake2019-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • John is a great host. Do follow him up there as GPS is inaccurate. If you are looking for quiet and off grid, this is a great place for you.

  • I want to tell everyone not to stay so I can come back every weekend. I am in absolute love with this place. I wanted to be a part of the tiny house community ever since I can remember so this was somewhat of a test for me ... ok you know when you found your dream place so nothing else is going to compare.... I want the location, the set up and NOTHING changed about this place ....

    Shan2019-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • The view alone from the cabin is more than worth the price! John put a lot of thought and time into the intricate design of this unique home. He utilized mother nature in a way that allowed the cabin to connect with nature. John was kind enough to show me up the mountain dirt road and around the home and even his shop that is still in the works. I will definitely be back!

    Kay Kay2019-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • It’s a gorgeous view from a tiny, off-grid cabin. We particularly enjoyed the HUGE walkout deck. Make sure to ask John for help getting there! Getting lost was our mistake! But once we arrived it was totally worth it. John is great, the cabin is great, and the quiet and solitude is refreshing.

  • If you’re looking for a hospitable host, look no further! Melanie’s place was absolutely charming, cozy, and wonderfully scenic! This Airbnb is definitely an experience, not a place to just crash on your way to and from a location. Stay here to relax and have the most hospitable experience. Also they offered us eggs, which was very kind, and they were delicious.

Many things are environmentally-friendly without being in your face about it. It’s quiet and spacioussss! And this refers to both the living spaces and grounds. If you are new to the area, Melanie will clue you in on all the best local places. We really enjoyed our time at Humming Grove.

Nestled in the pines, our guesthouse is located in a semi-rural area 11 miles from the Santa Fe Plaza (20-minute drive). Clean, airy, and bright with modern amenities and attention to detail. Situated on 10 acres, the property is located off a mile of dirt road. The nightly rate includes all costs with the exception of required NM Occupancy Tax.
The guesthouse is a two-story, 900-square-foot structure. Upstairs there is a queen-size bed, walk-in closet (where the iron & ironing board are located), and balcony. While relaxing on the balcony swing, you can listen for birdsong and coyote calls. A small deck with table and chairs provides a tranquil space for outdoor dining. The provided WiFi allows you to get online to check your e-mail, social media, and stream movies on your laptop; a wifi-enabled cell phone can make/receive calls. There is also a phone and answering machine so that you can make local calls and others can reach you by landline. Downtown Santa Fe is just a 20-min drive away where you can enjoy New Mexico's unique blend of Native American, Hispanic and Anglo cultures. For art lovers, Santa Fe boasts more than 200 galleries and more than a dozen museums. Annual festivals include the International Folk Art Market, Indian and Spanish Markets, Wine & Chile Fiesta, and Zozobra. And if you prefer to just take it easy, you can relax on the upstairs balcony or downstairs deck or walk through nearby ravines and enjoy the beauty of the land.
Our little neighborhood is located adjacent to Cañada de Los Alamos (not to be confused with the town of Los Alamos, which is an hour's drive away). The area is semi-rural, hilly, and quiet. There is no public transportation available, so a vehicle is a necessity for getting into town.

Welcome to Santa Fe! Our home is in the South Capitol area, located 1 mile from the downtown plaza, Museum Hill, several restaurants, Trader Joe's and Whole Foods. A beautiful rose-filled park is at the end of our street. My husband and I have worked professionally in the hospitality industry for nearly 30 years individually. We take pride in our home, its art and historic character. We are welcoming to the LGBTQ community. We love Santa Fe and want you to love it too!
This is a room within our home, it has a private bathroom, desk area, microwave, single-serve Keurig and mini-fridge. We are energy efficient with passive solar recirculating instant hot water and radiant heating. You will have shared access to our outdoor courtyard with a koi pond with a waterfall, very serene and relaxing. You will have a dedicated parking space in our driveway. This is our second AirBnB space in the home. We have enjoyed hosting so many great people over the past year, we thought we would add another room to our offerings.

  • Audrey is such a wonderful host and made us feel very welcome. Her house is beautiful and very clean. She provided amazing recommendations and we enjoyed a museum pass she gave us as well. Thanks Audrey! We can’t wait to visit down the road!

  • This home is perfectly located close to tons of shops, art galleries, and restaurants. The coffee maker, fridge, and microwave were lovely to have on hand. Super comfy bed in a quiet home means I slept like a baby! This is the perfect option if you’re a solo traveler (like me!) looking for a cozy space to land after exploring Santa Fe. Both Audrey and Miguel were warm and welcoming and their little dogs are sweet as can be. Would definitely recommend staying here!

  • Audrey and Miguels house is beautiful and spacious!! Everyone was welcoming and friendly!! And, if your lucky maybe you'll get to meet Layla, she's a joy!!!!

  • Audrey and Miguel we both very friendly and communicated well. They left a great list of local recommendations in the room. Both the room and the bathroom were very clean. The house was quiet and relaxing we would definitely stay there again. The bed is a full, so it was a bit tight with 2, we managed fine but it's something to keep in mind. The lock to the room uses the same key as the house, the area is safe and we had no issues, but it might be something to consider if you're traveling alone.

  • Comfortable suite, great location, excellent hosts. This was our first experience with booking a room within a home, and the room felt very private. The bathroom is spacious with a great shower. Exploring our magnificent Land of Enchantment? Have a creative project you're working on? Enjoy peace and quiet in this beautiful and tranquil valley on the East side of Santa Fe. Paradiso is a cozy casita for a weekend getaway. The space is all yours, as well as the private patio with stunning views of Pacheco and Atalaya Mountains. Just a mile from Canyon Road, and a mile and a half from the Plaza, near hiking and biking trails, skiing, and a 5 minute walk to Upaya Zen Center.
The space is 300 square feet so it might not be for those traveling with lots of luggage, but there's a comfy queen bed, a half refrigerator, Keurig coffee maker, electric kettle, and complimentary coffee and teas. There's even enough space for a yoga mat or two! And at night, you'll have a front row seat for a look at our night sky, expansive and bright enough to see the Milky Way - I even provide the binoculars! And there's a fire pit for your use as we move into the chilly nights of fall.
This is the historic district of Santa Fe - close to everything in town, yet tucked in close to the mountains, so very rural. There's even a secret walk along the Santa Fe River that will deliver you to the top of Canyon Road's galleries and restaurants - exactly one mile to The Tea House - and if you take a right, another 1/2 mile to the Plaza.
  • Amazing place to stay in Santa Fe. The walk along the river is easily accessible and gets you right to the Teahouse(an amazing little spot!) I loved being tucked away from the crowds and felt like I was in the lap of luxury! Whenever I go back to Santa Fe, I will stay there!

A wonderfully sized bathroom with plenty of amenities, a cute little mini kitchen with coffee options (and she provides fresh cream in the mini fridge!). Mary Frank personally greeted us upon arrival. It’s in a quiet neighborhood just moments away from the town center. Would definitely stay here again for future trips to SFNMX!

  • Paradiso was a great place to stay in Santa Fe! The views of the mountains were great. Everything that Mary-Frank had provided for us was very thoughtful. The space was incredibly clean & cozy. Bonus points for the fire pit!!!

Cute, Roomy Guesthouse of 1650 sq ft No Cleaning Fee with private entrance and enclosed courtyard. Explore over 2000 acres of hiking/biking trails available from the property. Feed the horses a carrot or just enjoy seeing them out your window. Relax to the soothing sounds of a waterfall as it falls into the pond in your courtyard. Reserved, outdoor parking for two cars off street within steps of your front door. Plenty of room indoors for storing skis, bags, boots, bikes etc. out of the way.
A short 1/2 mile drive up a county maintained, relatively level graded dirt road brings you to our driveway with a generous parking area, give a wave to Tucker and Bentley our two horses who will usually come out to greet you. A few steps from your vehicle enter your private courtyard with a water feature of a floor level pond and the lovely music of an elevated waterfall. The Pond might on occasion be shut down due to freezing weather, and younger children must be supervised when in the courtyard due to no railings on the pond. But no matter how cold it may be outside, your comfort is assured inside the house with the Radiant (floor) heating throughout. The second bedroom is not entirely enclosed with a door (see pictures) and is perfect for friends and kids. The Master Bedroom has complete privacy. Enjoy preparing your meals in the private full size kitchen with a gas range, microwave and stocked with essential condiments, coffee and tea with a coffee maker for your convenience. Don't have time to shop? You can arrive to a fully stocked refrigerator and pantry to your specifications - contact the hosts for availability. Pet friendly with a $25 per stay for a maximum of 2, Horse Boarding is available by prior arrangement with the hosts. WiFi is available throughout the home with a 42" TV and Roku with Netflicks, other streaming services available using your own account. I-25 is your main artery to the many sites and destinations in the area (see below) and the home is a straw bail construction so is very quiet to any noise outside.
Blocks away from this rural setting is Cafe Fina serving 7am-3pm daily, another couple miles down Old Las Vegas Hwy is the famous Harry's Roadhouse or the Bourbon Grill for a good steak. Blocks the other direction is a Grocery store, 2 restaurants, a brewery serving local beers in or take out, even a hardware store. There is even a great mechanic for any vehicle problems. You are only 15 minutes from downtown Santa Fe and all its festivals and attractions, 40 minutes to the ski basin, 55 minutes to Albuquerque for airports, restaurants, Old Town and Ballon Festival. Go north for 10 minutes to explore the Glorietta Battlefield where the westernmost battle of the Civil War took place, or continue into Pecos Canyon and the many trailheads to explore the Pecos Wilderness. The Pecos National Monument is great for pictures as you walk around the Archaeological Adobe ruins of an old Spanish Mission and surrounding village. Farther afield (1.5 hrs) you have Taos with its old style buildings, many fine restaurants, steep and deep ski area where boards are very welcomed and the Taos Pueblo, a traditional pueblo currently occupied and thriving. There are also many choices for hiking or fishing by a picturesque stream all within hour or so.
  • Truly what every Air B&B should be. Totally unique to the area and had so many beautiful personal touches. Adored this home and had a great stay!

  • Fantastic adobe home- just lovely with personalized touches. Excellent hospitality and very comfortable digs. Beautiful textiles. The horses and warm, smiling host were a bonus! Location is excellent for SanteFe & the surrounding natural areas were beautiful sights at sunrise and sunset. Book it!!

  • Robert is super accommodating and a kind host, and we had everything we could’ve possibly needed. He was very accommodating and very quick to respond with any questions. He is also flexible with check-in and check-out time, which was extremely helpful. The home was very clean and had all of the necessities for a few nights stay. Comfortable bed and well prepared kitchen – I appreciated the coffee. The shower was amazing!! Especially after a few days of skiing!! He gave us some superb recommendations on where to eat, places to shop and sights to see. This is definitely the perfect place to stay in Santa Fe. By far the nicest of any we stayed in before. This is a retreat! Stunning home, has everything you will need, amazing hosts and a lot of privacy. We would love to visit again in the future!! Highlights are the puppies and horses!! My daughter and I enjoyed greeting the puppies and feeding apples to the horses!

  • I add my voice to the many others who have stayed here who have said they wish they could have stayed longer! Mine & my friends' visit was too short! Next time I come back to Santa Fe, I will pick this place again. For real. And Robert is so very kind and gracious, and the instant my friends & I pulled up to the house and hopped out of our cars to bring our belongings in, Robert was there to greet us and he treated us like family and it was just awesome. The house is awesome, the horses are sweethearts, it's such a beautiful area, and I recommend this place to anyone!

    Chris2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Roberts place is incredible!! Such an amazing bang for your buck. We were sad that we could only stay one night. Robert is so nice too!

    Bonney2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • We’ve used Airbnb for about 5 years now in the states and abroad. Robert’s place is by far the best Airbnb we have ever stayed in. The hospitality is outstanding, beautiful touches throughout the home, amazing views, walking trails, coffee, and horses all within a few minutes of downtown Santa Fe! We can not recommend enough!

Looking for a quiet getaway? This adorable, 1 room casita is a 2 minute walk to the Pecos River (this walk-in the summer has tall grasses to walk through) and just a short drive away from many trails and fishing spots in the Pecos Wilderness Area. The small Casita has many windows. It is 30 m from Santa Fe. PLEASE READ ALL OF THE DESCRIPTION of this listing to ensure an accurate understanding, especially related to the neighborhood and town of Pecos, NM, and also the kitchen which is limited.
This is a small studio space, well lit, with a fridge, toaster oven, hot-plate and other kitchen amenities. The main bed is a full/double size bed. (picture of bed shows single bed, need to take new picture of the new full size bed!)The fold down futon is a twin size bed. So three people can sleep in the casita but it is best for 1-2 people for sure. There is NO TV. You may NOT get cell phone service here. Verizon is sometimes ok, but other carriers will probably not get phone service here. There is wifi that works fast so WhatsApp or Skype could work for calls. The kitchen area is TINY and limited. No microwave, but a brand new toaster oven, a hot plate and also a single electric burner with a small cooking pot. All items are located inside the stainless steel cabinet.
The street is a quiet residential area. The casita is enclosed inside a fenced in yard. You can walk to the river in three minutes. The neighborhood is a classic, Norteño culture. There is also a mix of socioeconomic classes here, so you will see some beautiful, fancy adobe houses (like mine) and you will also see trailers and lower income housing. For out of staters.... especially Texans, please note that Pecos is NOT Santa Fe! Santa Fe is like the New York of New Mexico. (I'm originally from NY) Pecos is a way more traditional New Mexican type of town. There are very few amenities, 2 gas stations, a couple restaurants, 2 dollar stores, and a Dairy Queen! The rest is river and wilderness.
  • Rebecca's Casita didn't disappoint. Just as described. Nice, clean, quite, and peaceful place. Rebecca is friendly and helpful. Easy access to the Pecos River and nearby attractions. Would definitely stay here again!

    Ricky2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Rebecca’s place is a great find, quiet, private and very close to the pecos river , the monastery and their lake, great short hike, very simple setup in the house her description and details given are very accurate . Great value , location and hospitality. I bet in spring is even more fun ! Only 30 mins from Santa Fe, 9 mins from Pecos historical park

  • Amazing hospitality! Beautiful scenery!

    Rito2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • This cozy, cute casita is for you if you love the outdoors and nature and want a peaceful getaway from all the stress of city living. It's cute and cozy and has the basics. Rebecca is super kind and went out of her way to accommodate me, even showing me how to work wood stove. It's a short walk to a beautiful spot by the river where you can sit and....? I would recommend to anyone wanting something rustic and private where they can do some reflection.

    Rowynn Elizabeth2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • Little cabin in the woods with a wood fire stove and big windows. The place is lovely and Rebecca was so hospitable.

    Laura2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • What a great place to stay. Our plan for the visit was to use Pecos as a base for visiting parks in the area, and we were not disappointed with the space, Rebecca's hospitality, or the area. Everything was great! The space was unique and a delight to wake up in. We would definitely stay here again.

    Mike2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • Rebecca is the most wonderful host and the casita is the sweetest place. It is easy to communicate with Rebecca, she is kind, generous and thoughtful. The casita is cozy, ample and was perfect for my needs! The fire place provided heat and comfort, it was a bliss falling asleep to the sound of the fire cracking the wood. The river by the casita is heave one earth. This is the place to go if you are looking for quiet, tranquility and abundant nature!

  • The location was perfect - it's very quiet out there, lots of junipers, birds, and rabbits, with a beautiful star-filled dark sky at night. The place is small, simple and very comfortable with all the amenities you might need. Sylvie was a great communicator and left lots of local tips to get the most out of a trip to Santa Fe. I would definitely stay there again!

  • A cozy Casita perfect for a solo traveler the week prior to Christmas! Sylvie is a sweetheart and appreciated her hospitality and prompt responses on communication. Enjoyed Calvin and friends visiting each morning. Most favorite daily activities were watching the sunrise each morning from the bedroom window and enjoying the land of enchantment stars each night. Also enjoyed the birds in the morning on the trees outside the windows with my morning coffee. A pleasant drive to Santa Fe without being in the midst of all the busyness. Totally enjoyed myself at this casita! Will be back😀

  • This Casita is quiet, clean and comfortable. It's in the country, but not a far drive into the heart of Santa Fe. The land surrounding the Casita is beautiful and the neighbors are some distance away. Sylvie is a warm-hearted and thoughtful host!

It's just down the road from one of our favorite breakfast spots and only 10-15 mintues or so from the center of Santa Fe. The view of the mountains is fabulous. We made some use of the well-equipped kitchen. Patrick and Kita provided a wealth of local suggestions and tips. We hope to return!

  • Okay, this is the place you wish you could give 6 stars! It's just plain perfect! Patrick and Kita are glorious. Their love of Santa Fe and life in general is present in everything at their place. The design of the apartment and how they maximize light and view made me want to consider building and moving into a tiny house. . .there was simply nothing else needed. Just lovely. If you are looking and it's available, snag it!

Hi... this is one of 3 bedrooms in my home that I list when my entire home isn’t booked. Your bedroom is totally private and you have access to the rest of the house, living room, kitchen, bathroom, laundry room and outside. I live in the master wing which has its own exterior entrance and is locked off from the rest of the house. I’ll meet you if you’d like and then let you be to relax. I’m 5 minutes behind Harry’s roadhouse restaurant off old Santa Fe trail..10 minutes straight to plaza.
This is one of 3 private bedrooms in the front part of my home. The walls are plastered.. ceilings wood.. brick floors and large closet. The bed is very comfortable. Everything is always very clean! You share the beautiful equipped kitchen and cozy living room and sweet bathroom and the outdoor area in the front yard. It’s really a nice place to read and be quiet.... I’ve been a super host for 3 years.. you can read the reviews by clicking on to read..”other reviews “. There are 227 pretty amazing reviews of the back of my home. I want to give travelers a inexpensive beautiful bedroom to stay in ... in my beautiful home in my sweetest of location... mountains.. sunrise.. moonrise... peace...
Canada de Los alamos.....a old village has I said that was the last stop along the trail to Santa Fe and California. They only paved the road 15 years (URL HIDDEN) was all dirt before that. Go to the bottom of the village and you feel like it is 1645.....I love that contrast...!

There is a brand new heater in the studio! This historic studio so built in 1871 -- has hardwood floors, exposed beams, renovated private bathroom, large stone fireplace & small private deck. Located in the historic district, just off Canyon Rd & 3/4 of a mile to the Plaza.
This is an historic adobe, built in 1871, and situated on a quiet, tree-lined street -- just a few blocks from the best galleries and restaurants of Canyon Road. A little over a half mile to the Plaza and Museum Hill, the neighborhood is considered the most desirable in Santa Fe. This is due not only to the location and charm but also because it's the greenest part of town, in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountain Range, near the river, with gorgeous light and shadows as well as proximity to fantastic walking and hiking trails. The space itself is a studio attached to the back of our home. It has a separate entrance with its own walkway to a secluded patio and front door. The space is quite large with a King size bed in the center and a sitting area with two large leather chairs facing the stone fireplace. A sliding glass door leads out to a small, enclosed deck looking over the garden. Remodeled in 2010, it has a modern bathroom with a large tiled shower. It also has a large closet, dresser, desk with books & magazines on Santa Fe and northern New Mexico, a mini fridge and small table with coffee and tea. There is a secure, private WiFi connection for streaming of movies etc. There is no television. It's a large, quiet space with beautiful light and, over the years, a number of writers and artists -- local & international -- have chosen to make regularly scheduled visits. This space has been described by many Airbnb guests as very sweet, "relaxing" and "romantic". Homes in this neighborhood were built in the Pueblo Revival style dating back to the early 1800's. The trees are older and taller than in other areas of Santa Fe, blessing the neighborhood with much coveted shade. Our street borders on the historic Acequia Madre -- or Mother Ditch -- a unique and beautiful stream which winds through town. And, lastly, Canyon Road, an international destination for art, has over a hundred galleries and studios exhibiting Native American art and antiquities, traditional and modern Hispanic art, regional Contemporary art, international folk art and international contemporary art. Walking distance from the house is a wonderful cafe and restaurant called The Tea House and a well shaded, grassy park which borders on the Santa Fe River -- Patrick Smith Park. El Farol, a Santa Fe institution, has live music most nights and many of our guests love sitting out on their balcony in the evening, enjoying a drink while watching people come and go from the galleries. The house is about three quarters of a mile from the Plaza. The walk to the Plaza is a very enjoyable stroll down Canyon Road or along the river walkway. We are also about three quarters of a mile away from Museum Hill. If you prefer not to walk, the 'M' line city bus in our neighborhood goes to both places. The Santa Fe trolley to tourist destinations runs right through this neighborhood as well. Santa Fe is the oldest snd highest -- in elevation -- capitol city in the country. Our neighborhood is the oldest in town and the roads were all originally horse trails! Many are dirt and very narrow, with lots of twists and curves. I always warn guests that GPS will send you to some interesting places in this part of town...but not necessarily your exact destination! I can't get enough of wandering the roads/trails of our neighborhood. It's one of my favorite things to do with my daughter in the evenings or on the weekends. We just set out walking in any direction and find all kinds of hidden pathways and "dead end" roads which lead to tree-lined pathways along the acequias, arroyos and river. One of the reasons I love being an Airbnb host is that I get to meet such a great diversity of incredibly interesting people. We have become friends with many guests over the years and have even gone to visit some of our guests in their homes on Airbnb -- wonderful!
The Historic Eastside is an incredibly desirable neighborhood for visitors to Santa Fe for many, many reasons. It was the home of the original inhabitants. Homes in this neighborhood were built in the Pueblo Revival style dating back to the early 1800's. The trees are older and taller than in other areas of Santa Fe, blessing the neighborhood with much coveted shade and water. Our street borders on the historic Acequia Madre -- or Mother Ditch -- a unique and beautiful stream which winds through town. Our house is in a fantastic location in terms of access to beauty as well as tourist attractions. Just to the east of us is St. John's College with its beautiful campus, open fields, large arroyo for walking and the trailhead for Atalaya hiking. Just to the south of us is Museum Hill -- a collection of five of the most visited museums in town, including the Botanical Garden and the International Folk Art Museum. To the north of us are the Dale Ball Trails and the Audobon Center. And right down the road from us is the infamous Canyon Road, an international destination for art -- with over a hundred galleries and studios exhibiting Native American art and antiquities, traditional and modern Hispanic art, regional Contemporary art, international folk art and international contemporary art.
  • Lovely stay at this Historic Adobe home. The space is cozy, charming and perfect for two people. The location is walking distance to shops, eateries and more! Also if you like exploring, I recommend walking around the neighborhood- there’s lots to see. Christina was friendly and a great host, gave us some great suggestions on places around the area and easy to reach whenever I had any questions. I would definitely recommend this place if like antiquated places.

    Daisy2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • It's a nice cozy place. The fireplace is a really nice touch. It's a quick walk to Canyon Road and about 1.5 mile to downtown. I would stay again if I ever need to find a place in Santa Fe.

    Colin2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Christine’s place is very sweet. Would loved to have used the fireplace (it snowed while I was there) but allergies didn’t permit. Great location - walking distance to funky Canyon Road. Would love to return and see more of the area surrounding Santa Fe, and will give myself more time.

    Trudy2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Tucked away in the back of a house, this quite private feeling studio is only about a mile from downtown and Christina will provide everything you need. Would stay again

    Eric2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • This place was awesome! Cute and cozy. We saw the previous reviews and I can say we experienced only the best time during our stay here. No complaints here, only gratitude.

    Aubrie2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely and stylish. The fireplace and patio are beautiful. We didn’t have any issues with heating- it snowed overnight and it was nice and warm inside. A beautiful skylight over the bed too.

    Alanna2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • Christina’s place is in an older historic part of Santa Fe among adobe compounds and winding streets. The room is warm and inviting, and while attached to the main house, there is a private entrance, and the room is very quiet. Unlike a previous review, I note there was plenty of heat, as well as a functioning fireplace. The place is an easy 5 minute Uber ride to downtown. This is my second stay here, and when I come to Santa Fe again this will be my first choice.

    Randall2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely overnight at Christina's place in Santa Fe. The house was in a really charming neighborhood, and within walking distance to old town. The space was private and elegant and the bed was nice and comfy. Thank you!!

Casita Luna is your remote-yet-near, romantic, rustic, bright and breezy retreat, located in a historic Northern New Mexican village. Surrounded by high forest trails and inspiring mountain views, you'll enjoy complete privacy, enchantment, solitude, peace, and comfort. During this time of COVID-19 concern, you may stay a week to a month in this remote location. Unending forest walks are right out the back door, and the fully-sanitized casita is equipped with a functional kitchenette.
20-25 minutes from the Santa Fe plaza, Casita Luna, a quaint 160 square foot guest home, sits on 20-acre Rancho Escondido. The casita has a separate entrance, sunny windows, kitchenette, bathroom with shower, wood stove and wood, and a private deck for outdoor relaxing. A wonderful feature is an outdoor fireplace for s'mores and marshmallow roasts under a blanket of stars. There are local hiking trails right from the property, and miles upon miles of national forest trails for biking or hiking just down the road. Nearby are the delicious, bumbling Cafe Fina and Harry's Roadhouse for local dining (currently closed, take-out available). Access is via an absolutely gorgeous, picturesque, mountainous road the last three miles or so. The final mile is dirt road with a few very passable ruts and bumps. Residents and guests both access this area daily with both 4WD and 2WD cars. Some guests plan for daylight arrival or allow a few extra minutes for their first navigation. After your first journey into the neighborhood, you'll see that access is very simple. Santa Fe occasionally experiences heavy winter storms. In the not-likely event you are visiting during a winter storm, a 4WD vehicle is essential for our high altitude rural location. Front wheel drive will suffice for light snow and no snow. Check the weather prior to your arrival. Note! Most of the time roads are passable in any vehicle! Simply keep an eye on the weather and host will work with you if a weather/access-related cancellation is necessary.
This village grew from a historic, authentic northern New Mexico land grant. The experience will be purely northern New Mexican - rustic, humble, and unassuming. Casita Luna and it's main home, Rancho Escondido, are tucked away in a private corner of the village. The property edges a serene and historic arroyo topped by a forested ridge. Wildlife are a normal occurrence - deer and coyotes are frequent ranch visitors.
  • Leanne is welcoming, responsive, thoughtful, and generous. The casita is bright, open, and comfortable. We loved hiking the property and meeting the sweet animals. We'll be back!

  • I really loved this sweet little place. My li'l doggies felt right at home here, and we loved the drive up the mountain to ski. I really liked that I didn't have to drive through town to the base of the mountain. Some of the most unexpected fun I had was making fires and keeping them going! We were toasty warm, and there was plenty of wood. We brought a laptop and watched movies on it. Wifi calling worked just fine, since I had to do some work. I liked being able to cook and have a mountain view with my coffee on the deck in the morning. I plan to stay here again!

    Alexis2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Leanne's casita was a great place to stay. The country setting was scenic and peaceful yet close enough to enjoy everything Santa Fe had to offer. We appreciated the classic New Mexico style of the casita, very clean and inviting. This was one of the best Airbnb experiences we have had.

    Marissa2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful stay in this casita in the hills! We loved the trails out back for our pup and the wood stove was perfect. Leanne was a great host!

    Martha2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful stay with Leanne! We had everything we needed, even things we hadn't thought about. We brought our two dogs and it was absolutely perfect for them. Cozy with the wood stove and everything you need to make a meal in the kitchen. The tea and cocoa was such a nice touch with the unexpected snow. Close enough but also just far enough to have a break away. Thank you!

    Torrie2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Had an amazing stay. The Bnb is just far enough away from town to easily unwind and forget the stresses of city life, but still is within a convenient distance to access all the tourist attractions that Santa Fe has to offer.

    David2020-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot about 20-25 mins from town, recommend 4wd/AWD or ample ground clearance in heart of winter. Great little woodstove, kitchen and BR perfect for 2 people, and super quiet at night!

Great location complete darkness at night under the stars, soaking in the hot tub. Fantastic sunrises and sunsets, hiking and biking trails, overlooking Santa Fe city from the horizon. 15 minutes to downtown, 25 minutes to the Opera. Pecos Wilderness, 20 minutes away. Pefect
Easy access from the interstate yet hidden and private getaway. Your own private entrance, private bathroom, and full kitchen facilities. I do have one friendly but skittish dog, Cormac, who will quickly become a new friend.
We are 15 minutes from downtown, the Eldorado Community, with hiking trails, vistas, full tennis, basketball, handball, volleyball courts, dog parks, restaurants, coffee shops, market, and near the Peco Wilderness for the deep woods.
  • Located just a few minutes drive from Santa Fe, the El Dorado community where this Airbnb is located offers a serene environment with stunning night sky star-gazing, which is especially nice when viewed from the hot tub! Communication before my arrival was quick, friendly and accurate, and check-in was easy and as explained. The room was tidy and comfortable with an in-room coffee maker and large screen tv, and very comfortable bed. Tim introduced himself and was the perfect host, offering dining and recreational tips, conversing amicably without being too overbearing. I would definitely stay here again...except I've relocated to Santa Fe now, so doubt I will need to. I highly recommend this airbnb for anyone wanting to be "out of the fray" yet close to downtown and byways to neighboring attractions.

  • Extended stay was as great as original booking . Grateful !!

    Clayton2020-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great visit, Tim and his dog Cormac were great hosts for my dog Thor and myself, I even extended our stay and would stay Tim's again.

    Clayton2020-01-07T00:00:00Z
  • Makes you feel at home!

    Kitana2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic location, host and amenities. We were just in for the night on a cross country road trip but Timothy's place hit the spot. Private entrance and bathroom with thoughtful touches, pet friendly, and beautiful location. Highly recommend!

    Elizabeth2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • This was my second stay at Tim’s. I’m struck once again with how much like home it felt. Tim is comfortable in his own skin. That makes it easy to be comfortable in mine.

    Nan2019-12-17T00:00:00Z
  • Tim’s place is a steal! Tucked off into the desert, the spot is lovely and he is a kind, easygoing, fun host. Tim offered local food and hiking and roadtrip recommendations, encouraged hot tubbing under the shooting stars, and shared his zigzag life story to Santa Fe. You’ll love it here.

    Lisa2019-12-14T00:00:00Z
  • The room at Timothy’s place was clean, quiet, well kept and had everything you needed. Timothy and his roommate were lovely and kind and very helpful. The hot tub was quite the plus and the location was amazing, I’d def recommend!

Bright home full of windows and colors. Just far away enough from the Plaza to feel like you're getting away from it all. And just close enough (20 min) to grab some enchiladas!
You have a private entrance if you would like, your own private bathroom, and access to the communal spaces.
El Dorado is full of wildlife, come and see for yourself!
  • Close to everything, but you feel closer to nature. Quiet and comfortable sleep! Sweet pups! Natasha and her partner are in the restaurant industry, so I did not have a chance to meet them. However, it was nice to have solo time in their lovely and well decorated home.

    Shannon2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • This place is wonderful! Fun and stylish decor, the BEST coffee in the world and super comfortable. I highly recommend it! Hosts were very friendly and interested in helping any way they could. Great location, too - close to Santa Fe but far enough out to enjoy the stars and deep quiet.

This charming private room is located in a beautiful home and serene environment just outside of Santa Fe. A stone's throw away from Pecos National Historic Sites and the Pecos Wilderness, and only a 25 minute drive into the city Santa Fe.
This Private Room has a twin (single) sized bed, a private entry and a private fireplace with lots of firewood! For bookings with two guests we will include a blow up mattress bed in the room as well. There are large windows to give plenty of light and many outdoor patios to utilize. You will have a private bathroom downstairs (including a jacuzzi tub) and may access the shower upstairs. This is a true getaway location with very comfortable spaces to read, watch movies, or cook meals inside, and provides great opportunities to take long walks, visit the Pecos River, or see the historic pueblo ruins when the fresh air is beckoning.
The neighborhood is rural, in a private community and very safe. We are located in a highly wooded area on a large plot of land. Many animals wander through such as birds, rabbits and the neighboring cats. You can hear the roosters crowing and train passing in the distance at times throughout the day.
  • Laurie was extremely helpful and welcoming. I had some travel issues. She was so concerned and accommodating. I hope I have the chance to get back to a Glorieta soon!

    Teresa2019-05-22T00:00:00Z
  • AMAZING place to stay! Laurie is very sweet and fun to converse with. The room was cozy and comfortable, a perfect place to relax and enjoy the great NM outdoors.

    Johnny2019-05-12T00:00:00Z
  • This was such a welcoming and comfortable experience, and it’s an incredibly beautiful location. Laurie is so kind and helpful and it was a great relief to arrive at this cozy place in the mountains after long travels. The area is great for exploration before you even start in the city. My favorite stay, would recommend to anyone looking for a special way to visit Santa Fe!

    Alex2018-04-01T00:00:00Z
  • Laurie was exceptionally communicative and hospitable. Had a lovely night's rest!

    Jerilyn2018-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Laurie is a warm, welcoming host and very knowledgeable about the area. The location is convenient, quiet and comfortable. Not only did I feel at home, but my furry companion as well. Her home is beautiful inside & out, and filled with beautiful art and treasures of books. I'm so happy I found this oasis!

    Kathryn2018-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Stop reading reviews and book this room NOW! Laurie is a fantastic host and will make you feel like it’s your house too. Secluded location for anyone who is looking to get away from the city. Close to many great hiking areas and scenic drives. But only a short drive to downtown Santa Fe. The room is fantastic and the fireplace in the room is the perfect way to stay warm on a cool evening! I will definitely be contacting Laurie next time I’m in the area and looking for a place to stay!

    Joe2018-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • I loved the quiet and solitude of Laurie's cozy room, and wooded surroundings. And for a small space there is more than ample room to unpack and stow everything away out of sight! The house is furnished with fantastic antiques and marvelous folk art and is like being in a very comfortable homey museum----always something beautiful and lovely to look at. Highly recommended.

    Willow2017-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful home in Glorieta, offering a calm environment to get away from busy Santa Fe and be out in nature. I stayed here for three months during a PT residency, and the host(s) were gracious and helpful! About 25 minutes drive from downtown Santa Fe, close to a number of great hiking spots.

  • A perfect Airbnb experience! I arrived at Tina and Ken's place feeling very under-the-weather (with allergies from weeks in Texas) and this cozy get-away was exactly what I needed to rest and recoup. Tina and Ken attend to every last detail providing everything a person might need while creating a peaceful, beautiful, and unique space for guests. This is a very dog-friendly retreat—my dogs felt right at home which always makes me feel at home too. Both Tina and Ken checked on me throughout my week there, knowing I wasn't feeling well. They were attentive without being invasive. If they saw I needed something, they were right there medicine, local suggestions, etc. On Valentine's Day they even gave me tulips! And another night they brought home a yummy dessert for me from Cafe Fina, an awesome restaurant just minutes away. I thoroughly enjoyed having dinner with them and their completely adorable dog, Hondo, the night before my dogs and I departed. Great food (Ken is an incredible chef and talented artist) and lovely conversation! Tina and Ken are the epitome of fine hosts and people!

    Karen2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • This was my home base for a few days of hiking and exploring New Mexico, and my best Airbnb experience ever. Seriously. The location is amazing - so quiet, and it felt remote and secluded on a small mountain, but with easy access to Santa Fe (10min) Albuquerque (<1hr via nearby I-25) and places such as Bandelier, Taos, etc. The place itself and amenities were great. My own parking spot and private entrance, a cozy bedroom with a great view, a utility room with lots of hanging / storage space and a washer and dryer, well stocked refrigerator, and a nice flat screen tv I could cast my phone to. But more than the location, accommodations, and amenities, the hosts were what made this stay better than any other. Ken and Tina were perfect hosts. From the logistics of arrival, to the many thoughtful touches in the accommodations, to helpful guidance for a first-time visitor, they really cared about my experience being a good one. I wish I could give them more than five stars. They really made me feel at home. HIGHLY recommended.

    Mark2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Ken and Tina‘s place was perfect for my time in Santa Fe at a silent retreat. It was quiet and cozy and also allowed me to have my two dogs with me. Their fenced in area allowed my dogs to run around during the day while I was in retreat. It had everything I needed to make my own simple meals. The close proximity to Galisteo Basin allowed me to be up early to hike with my dogs before class began. I would definitely recommend if you’d like to stay out of the city area and want a more quiet secluded space.

    Erin2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Kenneth and Tina are as advertised. They truly are super hosts. When we arrived my name was on a welcome board: it read “welcome Jacob and friend”. As soon as they learned my girlfriends name it was immediately on the board as well. It was so thoughtful and kind. When Kenneth learned we wanted to go in a hike he gave us a great recommendation for a local walk in the Pecos valley. Great local tips and incredibly thoughtful hosts. I would recommend them to anyone in the Santa Fe area.

    Jacob2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy, clean and quiet place to stay. Hosts are kind, thoughtful and generous; providing plenty of breakfast foods and snacks. Hondo is sweet and loves visiting guests. The outdoor garden is great with multiple bird feeders attracting birds. Great place to stay and will definitely come back next time we visit.

    Elizabeth2019-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • Kenneth and Tina go out of their way to make you feel right at home. They add lots of little extras and make sure everything you need is right there. This is a great out of the way location. Convenient to all things in Santa Fe and the whole area. Very special place to create great memories. Best place for pets ever! Our little chihuahua felt right at home too.

    Sheila2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • Truly charming and relaxing. Perfection for a Santa Fe get-away!

    Jaime2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • This is our second stay with Ken and Tina. The welcome was like old friends returning. Ken and Tina are fabulous hosts and such funny and interesting people. The other guest, Hondo, their dog, is just the best ever. She greets you, checks in on you. Gives you lots of love and is friendly to our dogs as well. We love the rural setting. It is so peaceful and our dogs love the freedom of roaming and discovering. In the unit itself, they have provided every need or comfort necessary for a great stay. However, the best part is the warmth and generosity of Ken and Tina. They go above and beyond. We needed a place for the cat (Hondo doesn't like cats, and my cat would NOT like Hondo). Without asking, Tina found a place for us to board her at a very reasonable rate and just down the road. Thanks Ken and Tina! Bob and Carmen
