Definitely a good place to stay. The room is easily big enough for one person to stay comfortably. Dietmar is a very nice host and everything was well-arranged.

Perfect stay in Dieter house. All is nice the bed is very comfortable, the room is cosy and you do have your independence which is very appreciated. Dietmar is always available for everything and may offer you a delicious smoothie and a coffee for breakfast, his secret for good energy and the guarantee of a good day, I can assure that. I really recommend this place, as for its atmosphere, as for the good, honest and very pleasant man who will be happy to welcome you. Just had a prefect moment for my first days of work in Salzburg.

Dietmar has been so welcoming from when we first met at the train station. He and his family have been such gems that I really could not asked for a better way to spend my Easter holidays, and be a part of the family's Good Friday and Easter Sunday traditions. The many reviews previously are consistent and testament to what a great host he is, but personally I am thankful for the wisdom he has imparted through our conversations about life and the common interest in good music and food. One of the many highlights of my trip was when I asked him the motivation to open up his house to random strangers. Barbara was a great host! I was even able to check-in early morning and breakfast was waiting. She was very nice and helpful. The apartment is very spacious and contains everything you may need. Also it's easy to get to the city center using public transportation. The neighbourhood looks nice & safe.

My adult daughter and I arrived at the train station and took the public bus as Barbara had instructed, and which turns around and makes its final stop at "Parc" (pay attention to the digital sign on the bus which announces each stop, as we missed it our first evening, thinking the bus would make a longer stop at "Parc" as it did in the daytime when we'd initially arrived). The bus stop literally is down the street from Barbara's lovely home. We knocked on the front door and was greeted by her husband, and then received a warm welcome from Barbara, who asked us to roll our luggage around to the back. She has a lovely backyard that must look glorious in the spring and summer, and was now looking like a wintry wonderland as it was receiving its first snowfall of the year! We entered the back door into a comfortable hallway that opened into three separate bedrooms and a staircase that led to Barbara's living quarters. The hallway housed a buffet and hutch that had breakfast and drink contents: tea, coffee, plates, mugs, bread. Another table had a basket of fruits, and then there is a little porcelain sink for boiling water, washing fruits, etc. The comfortable washroom has one sink and a walk-in shower. Despite having two other guests on this basement floor, we never had to wait for the bathroom and they were very quiet. Barbara showed us the room which is exactly as shown. It was large,comfortable and relaxing, and had a little mini fridge in one corner and a big wardrobe in the other. The bed was low and warm; my daughter discovered that there is some sort of heating device under the mattresses so you are nice and toasty in the evening. The table and wicker chairs were comfortable and great for breakfast and typing. Barbara offered us a map and asked if we had any questions. She gave us a wonderful restaurant recommendation to Triangel which is obviously very popular and do not be daunted by the line-up; we were told upon arrival that they didn't know how long we had to wait but the two of us got a seat within 2 mins! We also observed that sharing tables is commonplace, so if you don't mind that and tell them, we saw at least 3 different groups of people join other tables to fill seats. The bus ride is fast and pleasant from Barbara's home to the old town. We enjoyed riding home and being greeted by the lovely and comfortable house, which is in a very quiet neighbourhood. Barbara was also most solicitous and emailed me to see if everything was ok (but I didn't have data so only saw the message when I returned to her home). Salzburg is a romantic city. Barbara's place is even more romantic. In a quiet and lovely green part of the city you'll find a nice and cozy place. We loved to stay there in a comfortable room. And only on 15 trolly minutes from the city centre. A place to come back. One tip: if you want to visit the opera house, book in advance! Barbara is nice and friendly.

This was my favorite airbnb I have ever been to! The views of the mountains are incredible, and the bus ride to downtown Salzburg is very short! Her garden is the perfect place to wake up to in the morning. There are all kinds of different teas and snacks for breakfast. Will definitely stay again!

Let the ring was a bit damp at first street to the station concerned in a host is also very good and well heated even in the cold, where Austria was also received wide feeling a little wider in the two write :) At first time, i worried about location and weather. Barbara was warm and welcoming when we arrived. She showed us our room, community bathroom and little breakfast nook. It was just as we wanted! The walk downtown was about 10-15 minutes. With all the ice cream you'll eat, a nice walk through parks is ideal. The accommodations were great and we would recommended Barbara's place to anyone visiting Salzburg.

Perfect comfortable unstressed stay where you can enjoy complete privacy. Thomas will be at your disposal for any possible requests but won't intrude. House is spacy and comfortable, with everything you might need. Neighbourhood is peacefull and quiet, where you can enjoy rural ambience and almost touch the mountains, while you're just a few minutes ride from city centre. I liked Thomas place. Is in a quiet area, the house i big and it was only for ourselves. The room was big, the bed is really confortable. The kitchen was a nice place to eat but there wasn't much kitchen appliances to cook or do anythng really, except for a coffee maker. However Thomas was kind enough to bring us a pot so we can cook something. He was there for any questions and was super nice driving us to the supermarket.

Quiet country house. Host was kind and explain about city well. You can walk to old town in 15min. Spacious for two person. You can have your own bedroom, living room, bathroom and shared kitchen. I would love to recommend this house.

We really enjoyed our time in Salzburg. The view is amazing from the apartment and Salzburg is a short walk away. Beate is quick to answer any questions or concerns you may have. When you arrive there is lovely guide and map to help you plan your time there. If you enjoy hiking I recommend hiking Gaisberg. It has many trails, a beautiful view from the top, and lovely little restaurant on top. If you're a daredevil I recommend looking up the parasailing tours offered from the top. Overall, Salzburg was wonderful and Beate was the perfect host of a lovely apartment.

Beate is a very nice host providing lots of useful information. The house is really clean and cosy with a beautiful mountain view. We enjoyed the stay there.

We had wonderful 2 days in Salzburg at Edith's place. Since it is not only a room, but a small apartment in the basement, it also has a kitchen - that is equipped with everything you may need or wish for (not only to prepare a snack, but also to cook a real lunch or dinner, if you like). A definite plus is the coffee machine (Nespresso) and the provided coffee and milk/sugar. The neighborhood is really lovely, looks just like you imagine a small town in Austria, even though it is so close to the city center. You can reach the city center by walking (approximately 2 km) along the river, which is really nice. Another big plus was the free parking space basically just around the corner. The apartment itself is rustic and very clean. You also have a TV in your room and a good/strong wifi connection. Edith and her family live in the same house and are always around if you might have a question, but you still have your privacy. If we ever plan another trip to Salzburg, we will definitely return.

All the best - a little outside but easy to reach. Value may not be entirely guaranteed. 60.- would be enough, even from the perspective of a Swiss;)

Quiet location, still in laufbarer distance to the city center, and spacious - everything like in the photos. The kitchen is beautifully appointed for people who want to make the self-catering. The only drawback was the Internet, the reception was so bad that it was not enough to check emails and weather forecast for us.

Lovely room on the edge of Salzburg. Excellent location surrounded by broad green fields and the Untersberg mountain close by in the background. We heard a cuckoo ! Easy access to town on the 21 bus down Moostrasse, very punctual, every 15 minutes - just 10 minutes to the town centre. You can even catch the number 8 bus from the airport and change to the 21 if you want to. (Get a day bus ticket from the tobacconist shop first). We slept really well here, it is so quiet at night. I just love Salzburg anyway and staying here you feel you are in the middle of lovely countryside yet next to town. Hidden away within about 100 meters are two excellent restaurants - ask Rosemarie. In the nearer one we even had morel mushroom soup and fresh asparagus (I am veggie), and paid maybe 45 euros for two for the meal including drinks. The restaurant was even offering wild garlic soup (I am writing this in the spring). Anyway, we just had a super time, as you can probably tell. If you want to you can even walk up the Untersberg via Glanegg directly from this location. Clean fresh sheets just as you would expect, lovely shower facilities, because we were the first AirBnB clients Rosemarie had booked, she gave us a self-catering room which if we had needed it was equiped with all you would need to prepare any food. Breakfast was a lovely little spread, jams, cheese, coffee, breads, cereals. As you can tell, very pleased with our stay ! - there were two of us, myself Peter together with Caroline. Enjoy !

Rosemarie's home was a wonderful ideal retreat in the country at the foot of the Bavarian Alps. There is a a bus right out side passing every 15 minutes which takes 20 minutes into Salzburg. My wife and I would have stayed longer but we had to travel on to Vienna.

Amazing views. Rosemarie was a sweet host and very friendly. Restaurants are close by and a bakery a short walk away. Private parking at the front. We would stay here again.

Look no further! We were lucky to be there due to a last minute cancellation!   The place is generally booked.   Call Rosemarie directly to get on the waiting list. The apartment is on the top floor of a large house,  which has been running for over 30 years as a B&B as House Steiner. Rosemarie is very friendly,  helpful,  organized and fun. Beautiful pastoral view from the bedroom and balcony,  comfortable bed, great shower. Small  combination of kitchenette and living room in one area. Incredibly clean,  tidy and functional. Very quiet location, woke up to birds chirping in the morning. It is in a rural location,  however very convenient (5km from the tourist attractions of the old city). Good restaurants are nearby. We highly recommend this apartment while staying in Salzburg.

Basic house w/basic amenities...Don't expect a hotel experience, but more like you're outside the noise and in a house. Beautiful view of the landscape and mountains, REALLY (URL HIDDEN) quiet as well! LOVED this place and would go back in a second! Plus, the restaurant is a 1 minute walk and the BEST Austrian/Hungarian food in the entire (URL HIDDEN) lie. Having a rental car is best, which would make coming and going much easier. But i didn't have a car and managed just fine. Beautiful place to chill.

With Bastian was comfortable and quiet. Bastian is a friendly and considerate person. Convenient location, town centre 10 min walk . Close to good supermarket and cafes.

The apartment is cozy and pleasant, and only a 20 minute stroll from the center of Old Town. Bus stop is literally right across the street. The bed is comfortable, and the additional couch and seating in the room is great! Bastian was incredibly helpful in checking us in and helping us navigate to the apartment. He provided great advice as well as a folder full of fliers of things to do in both German and English. Great place to stay!

My boyfriend and I stayed at Bastian's place for 3 nights. The apartment was in a great location as we were able to walk to the downtown attractions and also the train station (each about 1 mile). The room was a good size and everything we needed was provided. However the wifi did not work for us and even after telling Bastian and messaging him nothing was done to fix it. As he mentions he has a cat and therefore there are the smells that go along with that being in a small apartment.

The bed was really comfortable. Although you can walk to the tourist attractions from bastian's house, there is a bus stop right in front of the house which ppl can take the bus to anywhere. I recommend this place! The cat in the house is really cute too :)

stayed at Bastian's for 2 nights. the room itself is very quiet with basic furniture. Bastian is a great host, very welcoming and helpful, providing lots of details on where to go and what to do, also for some not so obvious places. The location is great, it's still outside the touristy area but it doesn't take you more than 15 minutes by foot to get to the old town. just be aware that Bastian has a cat in case you're allergic.

Verena's flat was very cute. It's a good walking distance from many of the old-town attractions, and from the trails. The garden in the back is very quaint, and Verena is quite hospitable - helpful, welcoming.

Great location - everything you need is within walking distance. There is a bit of cigarette smell, and a sense of bare minimum, but if that's okay with you this place will be great. I was very pleased with it and Christian was very accommodating with my check-in time.

Staying in the hotel was very pleasant. Christian was very flexible and was extremely trying us to make your stay pleasant. The room was clean. Actually located just off the Linzergasse, one is within 10 minutes on the other side of the Salzach in the old town. Basically made the stay in the double room is pretty much a in a hotel. Above all, the price-performance ratio is unbeatable in the center of Salzburg.

Christian's place was wonderful and easy to get everywhere since it's a ten minute walk to old town and right next to a bus stop. There are several restaurants nearby that I would highly recommend such as Die Weisse and S'Kloane. The room itself was good, but nothing spectacular. Similar to other guests we were definitely wishing there was a microwave or small fridge as the meal portions at many restaurants were very large but we had no way to save our food.

The rooms at Conny was perfect for me. Comfortable, clean and I even had a bathroom all to myself. In a few minutes you by bus to the city, bus and S-Bahn station are nearby. Communication with Conny ran super, even if we have not seen each other. Many thanks for everything!

Conny and Markus as hosts were fantastic. They provided us with great and detailed information of the sights and transport. Location of the property was great with only a 10 minute bus ride into the centre. Only complaints were that the bed was just a (hard) mattress on the floor and that the low bathroom roof meant we had to sit to use the shower. For a short stay however this was no big issue.

We have nice stay at Conny's house. We can't meet Conny. But she help us to have a nice stay at her house.

We knew in advance that Conny won't be there in the 4 days we stayed at her house. She left us a very helpful sheet with indications where to eat and what to see + a Salisburgo map. Indications for public transportations as well but in our case we moved always by bicycle till the city centre far about 3 kms from Conny's house along the cycling way next ti the river. She gave us the kind possibility to keep bicycles in her garage. The room has a wide terrace with a good eyesight to Salisburgo direction. The room is situated at the last floor, the second one, under the roof. Unfortunately we haven't the possibility to use the wardrobes in the rooms. They were locked...and drawers full of other stuff. so for my opinion a wardorobe must be included in a room and typically included, the first thing I made when i discovered that is similar to be in a camping in a tent. The bathroom with bath is at total disposal of the room. Everything was clean and ok. So in the complex is fine, good position, good services like the kitchen and fridge but less about the wardrobe.

Me and my boyfriend just stayed at this room for one night, but we really enjoyed it. Conny was not at home, but everything was very well organised and we didn't have any problems at all. We found information about Salzburg and the sight seeing possibilities on the bed, aswell as a map and everything about the nearest bus and train station. All considered it met all our needs and we had a perfect stay at Conny's house.

Salzburg only stayed one night rush, the landlord was very good, the location is also convenient to the house, roof house, the house has a very large table, more like a bed on the floor covered with a thick bed pad. Boarding short words are good, the only thing is no less convenient curtain.

Lisa's apartment has everything you need for a stay. Check in and out was very flexible and unkomliziert. You live right next to a bus stop and is therefore in 5-10 minutes at the most central places in Salzburg. Even on foot one is more than 20 minutes on the road. We can Lisas apartment only recommend, we liked it very well!

Cute little apartment with simple furnishings. It has been there all it takes, however, the kitchen equipment was a bit spartan for me and the existing towels have no towel size (so if you a big towel should preferably bring your own one) Arrival and departure times were super easy and flexible! The apartment is wonderfully centrally located and is in 20 minutes in the old town. The nearest supermarket is about 10 minutes away and right next to the front door there is a restaurant where we spent a great evening. We can only recommend the apartment and if we go back to Salzburg, we will be happy here again!

The house makes you feel like home! Everything is well organized. Nearby supermarkets are stated on the printed map too. The house is spacious and very clean. Nearby housing areas are quiet and safe. Strategic location near to the bus stop (Volksgarten stop), ease access to & fro from Salzburg hbf. Much better than expected!

Lisa's flat in Salzberg was clean, comfortable and exactly as described. Lisa's communication was excellent during our stay. The flat had everything you need and the bed was comfortable with enough linen for two people however the pillows were uncomfortable as they were really soft/thin. It is a 20 minute walk into the old town however there is bus that stops right outside the flat which would be no longer than 5 minutes into town (we chose to walk as the views were ao nice). If coming by train there is a bus from the central station to the front door of the flat. The walk into town is really nice and on falt groung, this is mainly along the river so there is plenty of great views to look at on the way. Overall good value for the price and I would recommend that people stay at Lisa's flat as we had a great stay is Salzberg.

I spent 3 nights in Eva's apartment which is exactly as nice as seen on the pictures. One important thing I would add to the description is the unbelievable air, so pleasant to breathe in! It cools down at night, even after a hot day, and it has a fragrance of nature. Eva is very kind and helpful, you will feel really cared for during your stay.

Elizabeth greeted us very warmly. She was pleasant and friendly. Accommodations were lovely, and were very close to the Centrum.

We absolutely loved this apartment! Went above and beyond our expectations. The location was very lovely as it is close to the old town area but in a more quiet, peaceful area. Eva was very welcoming and made us feel comfortable in the flat. The flat was perfect for what we wanted while we were in Salzburg. It was nice and tidy, the kitchen had all of the appliances we would need and there was a nice view of the mountains from a small balcony. It was also very easy to get in an out of the city, with a bus leaving from just at the end of the street, taking no longer than 10 minutes to get into the main part of town. Would definitely recommend this flat to any couple looking to spend time in Salzburg.

Elizabeth's mom has personally picked us up from the bus stop, taken to the apartment and go tell everything important. A very affectionate and cordial lady, so we immediately felt welcome. The apartment itself is great cut, bright (but dark enough to sleep) very pretty and at the same time functional furnishings, and a quiet area. Shops and a bus stop, there is practically around the corner and the Old Town can be easily reached by a leisurely stroll. Can anyone who wants to spend a few relaxing days in Salzburg apartment. :-) Tip: For all hard-working post card writer among us - if you buy postcards in town, asks for advance whether they also stamps. Otherwise it may you (like us) happen that you indeed have postcards from loading 1 and loading 2 also leads stamps that the sale but you only postcards additionally purchased (which is understandable, but somewhat annoying). Requested best before Elisabeth or her mom after the address of the stationery shop, which is also located around the corner in walking distance.

Our stay in Salzburg was wonderful, largely because of Sylvia and her beautiful home. We were able to truly rest here, and Sylvia had a wealth of fantastic suggestions for things we could see and do during our stay. Sylvia has given us a big leap of faith by took us in as guests, even though it was clear that it was the first two days even not at home. The key was stored. The room we found as described: Spacious and bright and sunny with large windows and beautiful balcony. Everything is very clean and well maintained. Lots of wood gives the room a cozy atmosphere. However, establishing is convenient with plenty of storage space and a desk. On the third day we were allowed to get to know Sylvia. She is a very friendly, outgoing person with diverse interests and a very good hostess. Gladly she gave us lots of tips for our stay.

Sylvia was indeed a 'super host.' She gave us a short tour of the city in her own car. She also left snacks and breakfast for us every morning. Room very private and comfortable. Location was great, just a short bus ride into the city. If we ever come back to Salzburg we will definitely stay with her again!

Flávio was a great host! The room in his basement that we were hosted in was extremely comfortable and tastefully done. The place is a bit away from downtown Salzburg, but if you are looking to enjoy the country side, this is perfect. We had a car, so we had no problem commuting to downtown. Flávio also hosted us one of the evenings for a cup of coffee with Christmas sweets. His wife Sofie was great to chat with and exchange perspectives as well. Would highly recommend this place for travellers looking to find a nice and cozy place and a very warm host!!!

Nice room spoiled only by the fact it's a basement and therefore no windows to look out of.

We were able to sleep in a modern and comfortable apartment, including 1 room with kitchen and bed and as a second room the bathroom. The apartment was kind of far away from the central but with the bus you could come in 15-20 minutes into the central, just arrived the weekend it was kind of difficult because there are not many bus coming. All in all we enjoyed it

It will take 15 minutes from the apartment to go to city center by bus. The apartment is well furnished, clean and quite.

Flavio is absolutely wonderful. He is a wealth of information about the places to see, the history, the architecture, and much more, and has truly traveled the world. We loved talking with him. His apartment is BEAUTIFUL and we felt so at home there. Highly recommend it.

Rasa and Wolfgang did everything possible to make us feel welcome. Rasa communicated quickly even though she was out of town. Wolfgang showed us the best places to go around Salzburg. Even took us to the train station. Their home was charming. The location was fabulous. Such a positive experience.

The apartment was great in every way. The location was central. It was very clean and the hosts were extremely nice. They came a knocked on our door to make sure that we had everything we needed. I recommend this apartment to anyone who is looking to visit Salzburg.

Our stay at Rasa's apartment was for less than 16 hours, as a stopover between Munich and Budapest, and it suited our needs well. We travelled with a family of 4 with a high school ad primary school aged children. The apartment is ideally suited to a couple, but for such a short stay was not a problem for us. Rasa was there to meet us at checkin and checkout. She was very friendly and had written up some useful information on restaurant and travel recommendations around Salzburg. The apartment is located in a quiet area, well served by public transport, and within walking distance to the old town. Recommended for a short stay in Salzburg.

Our stay in Salzburg with Rasa and Wolfgang hosting us was absolutely perfect. Rasa made us feel welcome right away (she and her brother helped carry our bags up the stairs which was much appreciated ;) ) and was always available to answer our questions and help us out. She also gave us some terrific recommendations of where to eat and what to see in the city-- thanks!! When Wolfgang got there he knocked on our door to also welcome us; he showed us the garden with candles and cracked open 3 local beers for myself and my sisters. We also loved the amazing lighting in the apartment, the shower (we are all hot water fiends), and how easy it was to walk everywhere we needed to go. This apartment was the perfect starting point for our adventure in Salzburg, none of us wanted to have to leave!

Jen's place is very close to the city center, main station and easily connected to outer parts of city and lake district. The room is as described, and Jen was very helpful in sorting out any issue.

Great place to stay. 5 minute walk to the old town which was beautiful. A lot bigger than it shows and very clean. Jens was very accomadating. Would definitely reccomend.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Stefan's home. The room was spacious, private bathroom, we appreciated the coffee, tea, and towels, and felt at home our entire stay. You must go up to the castle and look down to the city. His place was easy to walk into the city.
