Amazing host, goes the extra mile to help you out. The breakfast is great. Place is spacious just a bit dull since an older place but still well maintained. A bit far from Porto but easy to get to using train or walking (35-40mins)

I really liked it, everything was amazing, the a house was fully equipped and clean. It is a short walk distantce from one of the metro station, but it nice neighbourhood so it is a nice walk :) Julia is an amazing host, she and her daughter helped us wherever and whenever we needed. Our breakfast was in nearby bakery which was also really good. Overall it wsa an amazing exprience I would recommend it to anyone who wants have a nice place and time in Porto.

Julia was a perfect host. She was there when we arrived, welcomed us with freshly baked biscuits and the flat was amazing. The next day we had an amazing free breakfast in her husband's bakery and she drove us to town and showed us everything. I highly recommend Julia's flat for everybody. Obrigado Julia! ;)

We stayed at Julia's apartment for four nights and had the most incredible time. Julia met us late in the evening on Christmas Eve, and settled us in quickly. She even had Christmas breads and a lovely bottle of Porto for us! The apartment is spacious and clean, and is well-equipped with everything we needed during our stay (including a washer!). Every morning, we had breakfast at her husband's bakery across the street -- fantastic baked goods and café au lait! Julia kept giving us cookies and all sorts of delicious Portuguese breads during our stay. On the last day of our stay, Julia drove us around the city and introduced us to parts of the city that we would have otherwise missed (including Afurada), and when we checked out, Antonio sent another Pão de Ló (a specialty of his family's 4-generation bakery). As for location, the apartment is within walking distance to the Metro (and it is only a few stops to the Dom Luis I bridge). There is plenty of parking as well. This is a wonderful base from which to explore the Minho and Duoro Valley. We couldn't ask for more as far as accommodations go, and a warmer welcome to Porto. Thank you, Julia, Antonio, and Carlota! We hope to stay with you again in the future.

Great place- Big appartment, many facilities, very close to trem to Porto, great bakery with breakfast and even a garden. Very recommended.

Julia was a fantastic host and she is really a very kind person! I would totally love to stay in her house again! She welcomed us really warmly and even took us on a sightseeing tour through Porto, showing us interesting places to visit! The house is as described and shown on the pictures! The backyard is really lovely ;-)) We were provided with coffee and some fantastic sweets made in the bakery of her husband. There we also ate breakfast in the morning! It was really lovely with typical bread and really tasty croissants! The café au lait was very good too! Metro is about 10 minutes by foot away and goes straight to Porto! If you come by car there are enough parking spaces in front of the house! I can really recommend to stay with Julia!!!

Mafalda's world is a very recommendable place to stay for holidays. Food shops, bakery and butcher are very near, also all buslines ( to Porto or to the beach ). Mafalda for herself is very helpfull in all situations. A very nice surprise when entering the kitchen was the beautiful fruit basket, a homemade cake, sweeties and abottle of wine. The bed was very comfortable. We felt like at home, it was perfect. Thank you again.

A Mafalda é uma anfitriã cinco estrelhas com imensas pequenas atenções na casa, tal como consola de jogos, giradiscos, consumiveis (compotas, bolo, vinho,..). O terraço é muito interessante para almoçar na rua. O bairro apesar de não ser muito interessante está junto à linha do comboio que permite a deslocação ao Porto em 15/20min. A casa é bastante desnivelada tendo degraus entre as várias divisões e tem poucas janelas para o exterior, no entanto está decorada com bastante gosto. esperamos voltar.

This was a fantastic place to stay in Porto. A little bit of a walk from the main city center, but the walk was fantastic and the place is right next to some of the best food in Porto. Would happily stay again! Dora was prompt and made the entire stay very enjoyable.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans l'appart de Dora. Il a été refait à neuf et tout le confort est présent. Le quartier est vivant et typique. Malgré la barrière de la langue, Dora a été une hôte très agréable. A refaire.

Hemos estado una semana en el apartamento de Dora y ha sido una buena experiencia. Es un apartamento con dos habitaciones pequeñas, pero con todo lo necesario para unas vacaciones y todo nuevo a estrenar. Las camas son cómodas y el sófa- cama del salón muy fácil de abrir y mucho más cómodo que la mayoría de los que he probado. Está situado en Afurada, Vila Nova de Gaia. Se trata de un barrio muy pintoresco con pocos turistas que te permite descubrir una zona que difícilmente conocerías alojándote en Oporto. Hay restaurantes locales con auténtico sabor y con buen pescado a la brasa. En este lado de la rivera de Duero es donde están las bodegas del famoso vino de Oporto, por lo que es muy cómodo para visitarlas. Además, en este lado del río se puede aparcar sin preocuparse por pagar o mover el coche. Para ir a Oporto puedes coger el autobús, aunque tarda bastante en llegar porque da mucha vuelta. Puedes ir en coche en menos de 15 minutos y aparcar en la calle o en un garaje, ya que no es muy caro. Nosotros hemos aprovechado para visitar las playas, que están muy cerca y un par de ciudades, por lo que el coche ha sido muy práctico. Dora es muy amable y se ofrece para ayudar en todo lo que podáis necesitar, así que os animo a todos a conocer esta maravillosa ciudad. Un viaje para repetir sin duda. Muchas gracias Dora!

Nous recommandons chaudement ce logement pour les personnes qui comme nous souhaitent être en dehors de l agitation de la ville. Il faut marcher 40 minutes pour arriver au pont et à Porto centre mais le top c est comme nous de louer un vélo. Très chouette balade aussi vers les plages toutes proches. Le logement est très propre et Dora adorable. Il y a une excellente boulangerie où vous trouverez des petits pains à 0,12 eur/ pièce ! Et le resto juste à côté sert de généreuses portions de nourriture et d alcool. En un mot une excellente expérience

The place was very comfortable, and close to everything. We only stayed for an evening, but was very happy with out stay, and Manuel's hospitality. Over all great experience!

Nice apartment in Vila Nova de Gaia. One bedroom, a sofa-bed in a small livingroom, a dining area, an equipped kitchen... No wardrobe, long-term stayers should know. It was cool in summer. Manuel is a great host with lots of experience serving tourists in Porto. His flat is very well located and good for a couple with two childre n. It was a little bit noisy in the evening but you can bring your ear plugs and problem solved. Highly recommended if you are planning to use it mostly in the evenings.

Manuel is a great host. He met us on the day we arrived and recieved us well. The place is a typical old porteguese house in a residential area of Vila de Nova Gaia, south of duero river. Such a big pleasure to me that I've been a very first guest in the "Porto Room" and of the apartment, it was an opportunity which I didn't expect. Magnificent place. Paul and Vanessa are truly great hosts and really really kind people. They responded to every question in minutes and welcomed me very well to Porto and their wonderful Airbnb. The location is simply amazing. You literally just need to step out of the door to have one of Portos best views on the river douro. In 10 minutes walking distance you have really everything you need. From a restaurant that has nearly always open to small markets and the metro station, etc. Even the ribeira is in 8 minutes walking distance. Their apartment is always kept very clean and beautifully decorated. The room and the balcony are very comfortable and incredibly cozy due to the great view you have from the balcony. All in all, this Airbnb is definitely a real gem in Porto.

Teresa and Paulo's place is great. It's also ideal for large groups or families, as it can host up to 9 people. The house was very clean and the kitchen fully equipped. The position is strategic: it's in Vilanova, and from there you have a great view of Porto (it's amazing especially at night). It's only 5 minutes-walk from the most famous Porto wines cellars, and 10 minutes-walk from the Douro River: after you've crossed it you immediately get to Porto city center. Paulo and Teresa were extremely good hosts. The communication with them was easy, and once arrived Paulo gave us a lot of precious suggestions on the cellars, the restaurants, the best spots to visit, the city center and so on. He even gave us a map with all necessary indications and showed pictures of the various spots. We were also welcomed with a very appreciated bottle of Porto wine. Highly recommended!

We were happily surprised by Paulo's warm welcome. He picked us up from the train station and took us to see a magnificent view on Porto. Add the two glasses of Porto in the kitchen at our arrival, the friendliness of our hosts and the great apartment and that sums up our perfect stay in this beautiful city!

We stayed 6 persons in this wonderful house. It has PERFECT view, place for BBQ, large clean kitchen and the hosts are nice, helpful and kind people. That was a perfect stay in Porto, regratfuly very short.

I had an amazing experience in the flat. Mickaël is a really nice person who will make sure to make you feel welcome. The flat is really charming. You will have an amazing view over Porto. The location is in a very traditionnal street which allows you to discover the life of the locals. Checkin and checkout were easy. The house is located around 30 min waking to the oldtown of Porto and is located in a very cute traditional portuguese neighborhood. The place is clean and organised. We had a great stay at Michael's home. The check in and check out was super easy and flexible.

La estancia en casa de Mickel ha sido inmejorable. En la llegada nos recibieron sus padres que nos detallaron absolutamente todo de forma muy amable, muy simpáticos! Es un lugar confortable, cómodo, bien comunicado y sobre todo tiene una ubicación inmejorable tanto por lo fascinante del paisaje como por su cercanía al centro de la ciudad (unos 10 minutos a pie9 ... No dudaré en volver a alojarme allí si vuelvo a la ciudad y por supuesto, la recomiendo. Gracias por todo a la familia!!

This is a great place located in a residential neighborhood with very friendly neighbors. It is a short walk downhill to a very touristy area with great neighborhood grocery stores and a cafe. I would suggest some good walking shoes or take a cab or uber back up to the house, although we did the walk in flip flops several times. Teresa is fast to reply and helpful.

This apartment is well situated around a kilometre from the river Douro. this places you within walking distance to a fine selection of traditional bars and restaurants. The apartment is small but well laid out and has recently been refurbished to a modern standard. there is space to park your car on the street, We found it well priced and well located for our short stay in Porto. highly recommended.

The stay at Teresas and Nunos Haus was a pleasure for us. Everything was fine.

A casa fica em Vila Nova de Gaia ao lado do Porto, bem próximo a Ribeira, região dos bares e restaurantes e em meio as adegas. Não há estacionamento, mas é fácil estacionar na rua ao lado, sempre com vagas. Casa pequena, para um curto período.

Appartement refait à neuf avec goût. Petit patio avec fresque de Porto. Épicerie à 20 mètres dans la rue. Bon point de départ pour visiter Porto à pied pour marcheurs.

L'appartement est très propre, totalement atypique. Lors des journées ensoleillées il fait relativement chaud, et le ventilateur ne suffit pas à lui seul à rafraîchir la totalité de la deuxième partie. Nous avons été très bien accueilli, et les petites attentions étaient très agréables. Nous recommandons ce lieu, même si son éloignement relatif avec les quais de Gaïa est amplifié par la dénivellation (Cela fait les mollets......)

Very nice house, confortable and even luxurious, perfectly clean, bright and airy everywhere. Super kitchen, nice living room, confortable rooms and bathroom. Very central, only the bridge San Luis to cross on foot or by metro (The bridge is busy even by night during the week-end). The area is calm and very very close to the Douro docks too : A large walking area with a wonderful view of Porto and many touristic restaurants and pubs. There is even a pedestrian path to go to an very large and empty beach (in the end of august) or to an other more busy. Places to fish along the river, marina and a village at midway with restaurants traditionals and more touristics ones. Perfect communication with the owner, i felt very welcome. Nice place, better than the hypercenter (for me). Très belle maison, confortable moderne et même luxueuse, parfaitement propre, lumineuse et aérée partout. Super cuisine, belle salle de séjour, chambres et salle de bain confortables. Très central, seul le pont San Luis à traverser à pied ou en métro (le pont est fréquenté jour et nuit pendant le week-end). Le quartier est calme et très très proche des docks du Douro aussi : Une grande zone majoritairement piétonne avec une vue magnifique sur Porto et de nombreux restaurants et pubs touristiques. Il y a aussi un chemin piéton pour aller sur une grande plage presque vide (fin août) ou vers une autre plus fréquentée. Lieux de pêche le long de la rivière, une marina et un village à mi-chemin avec des restaurants traditionnels et d'autres plus touristiques. Communication parfaite avec le propriétaire, je me suis senti très bienvenu. Bon endroit, mieux que l'hypercentre (pour moi). Muy bonita casa, cómodo moderno e lujoso, perfectamente limpio, luminoso y ventilado por todas partes. Gran cocina, bonita sala de estar, cómodas habitaciones y baño. Muy céntrico, sólo el puente de San Luis para cruzar a pie o en metro (el puente es frecuentado día y noche durante el fin de semana). La zona es tranquila y muy cerca de los muelles del Duero también: una gran zona principalmente peatonal con una magnífica vista de Oporto y muchos restaurantes y pubs turísticos. También hay un sendero peatonal para ir a una playa grande casi vacía (finales de agosto) oa otro más frecuentado. Lugares de pesca a lo largo del río, un puerto deportivo y un pueblo de medio camino con restaurantes tradicionales y otros más turístico. Comunicación perfecta con el propietario, me sentí muy bienvenido. Buen lugar, mejor que el hypercentre (para mí).

Pedro's house is spacious and clean. There is everything you might need. Furniture and other equipment is completely new. Pedro's father lives next door and he showed us the house and gave us all necessary information. The location is very good and 5 meters above your head you have one of the best views of Porto. A very good choice.

La casa de Pedro nos ha encantado!!! Esta ubicada en una zona perfecta, de fácil acceso y muy tranquila. Esta a pocos metros del puente Dom Luis I lo que te permite moverte en la zona turística de Oporto a pie. La casa esta equipada perfectamente y con productos de primera necesidad mantequilla, aceite, vinagre, café, y productos de aseo... (que se agradece mucho!!). La decoración es muy cuidada y te sientes como en tu propia casa. Nos recibió Antonio ( Padre de Pedro) que nos trato genial y nos ofreció una botella de vino :) We loved Pedro's house!!! Located in a very accesible and quiet area. Very close to Dom Luis I bridge, Porto's sightseeing spots are at a walking distance. The house is fully equiped and has also basic products such as butter, oil, vinegar, salt and toiletries... (very much appreciated!!) The decoration is very nice and cosy, makes you feel at your own place. We were welcomed by Antonio (Pedro's dad) he is very friendly and heplful and offered us a bottle of wine :)

A casa está muito bem situada, acessível a visitar e conhecer o Porto, Gaia e arredores; também se encontra bem equipada, com o que se precisa numa estadia de alguns dias. Muito simpática. Appartement très agréable à vivre : il y a beaucoup de place, de grandes chambres, une grande cuisine (très bien équipée), une grande salle de bain, et le tout, proche du metro et des restaurants de Gaia. L'appartement est situé à mi chemin entre le haut et le bas du pont Luis, ce qui permet de découvrir différents chemins pour aller à Porto.. Je conseille vraiment cet appartement pour deux couples d'amis (ou un couple avec deux enfants) qui souhaitent découvrir Porto!!

La casa está ubicada en una zona muy tranquila, al lado del jardim do morro desde el que hay unas vistas maravillosas a Porto. Se encuentra muy céntrico, a un paseo de los monumentos más importantes y de las bodegas. Es una casa muy bonita, con una decoración exquisita y que cuenta con todo lo necesario para pasar unos días. Nos recibió el padre de Pedro, un señor muy amable y que se mostró disponible para lo que necesitasemos. Lo recomiendo totalmente.

Ana's place is perfectly located to get to sites in both Porto and Gaia. The Dom Luís Bridge is within a 5-minute walk for easy access to Porto. The riverside attractions of Gaia and great views of Porto and the Douro are very close too. Ana's hospitality will make your stay pleasant. The cookies and port winE were tasty extras I enjoyed. To top it off, Ana is very pleasant, accommodating and communicates very well. I'd stay at Ana's place again.

Anas place is in a great location for walking around Porto. Bring a small car though because the city centre has very narrow streets in places, and busy traffic. We left our car parked the 36 hours we were there. Her apartment is cute and quite roomy. We met two of her neighbours who were really nice, and it felt safe. Ana gave us a great recommendation for dinner close by.

Quaint flat just across the river from the old district and a short walk from major attractions. The free on street parking just outside the flat was also very convenient.

This my second time travel in Porto, my favorite city and this house, is one of my favorite house. Very near to the Pont Louis l, 10 min walk to there. We can take the metro in Jardin de Morrow in this region, just walk 10 au maximum minutes. House big, clean and comfortable. Ana me give always the advice from the day l reserve her house. And she prepare for us a big cake of Easter, the milk, bread even a bottle of vin local. Thanks a lot. I recommend it.

C'est la maman d'Ana qui nous a accueilli. A notre arrivée tout était près pour un bon petit déjeuner. Cookies, café, thé, pain de mie, un cake cannelle qui se marie très bien avec le porto laissé par Ana. Maison très propre. Salle de bain avec à disposition gel douche, shampoing et lotion corporelle. La maison est dans une petite impasse très calme. Je recommande vivement

Location is fantastic. Pedro was very nice as he took the time to give us a few tips. We had fresh croissants on our arrival. Nice touch. We highly recommend Pedro's place.

Pedro is heartwarming and really friendly. His apartment is well-equipped. In the kitchen, there was everything one needed including coffee and tee for breakfast. The apartment is huge and it is really comfortable so that one feels at home! The location is awesome. The apartment can be easily found at the first go. The metro and bus stations are just 3-5 minutes away. A small supermarket (minipreço) is just across the main street and a super cheap fruit market is also nearby. The city is also not far away and good to walk. Pedro even came for help on our last day early in the morning when we forgot something in the apartment and he brought us to the taxi station with his car so we could get our flight on time. I highly recommend this apartment to anyone who wants a cosy and large place to stay in Porto.

We stayed at Pedro's flat for a month and were completely satisfied. The space is huge (plenty room for large families!) with two bedrooms and a living room with a couch that turns into a bed. Shower was hot, wifi was fast, washer was great and kitchen has everything you need (we cooked in there a lot). The flat also gets lots of sunshine in the bedrooms during the day and there is a small balcony that is great for watching sunsets, although we walked to the bridge all the time to soak in the panoramic views. The location is super quiet in a local neighborhood, but conveniently only a 2-minute walk to the bridge. There are restaurants and shops right around the corner and local transportation (although we never needed it), and a bigger grocery store and mall just 10 minutes on foot. You're also 10 minutes from the center of Porto so you get the best of both worlds. Communication with Pedro was great and he was very kind in meeting our requests and we would definitely recommend his place to future travelers.

Location, apartment facilities are exelent! Pedro was so kind to make realy late ckeck-in for us. We enjoyed our stay in this apartment!

Great location for those who want to stay near city center but not exactly inside city center. Pedro is very helpful and positive. Flat is really big. It is a place where people really lives. Supermarket, cafes and fruits very close. View from bridge is amazing! Strongly recommended for this price.

Pedro was really nice and generous with us! We felt really welcomed and his house is really cosy! He made us feel at home. He gave us really good advices about the city. The location is perfect as it is in a quiet neighborhoud with locals, but 10 minutes walking to get to the historical center, crossing a beautiful bridge with an exceptional view of Porto! We had a great week in Porto at Andre's house. The house is really well located with a really nice vue on Porto. Andre has been very welcoming and helpful. We definitely recommend it !

Nice sized room in a cute house in Villa de Gaia. Wonderful view of Porto from the balcony and close to the port cellars. Central Porto is a walk away over a beautiful bridge. Well equipped kitchen so you can make your own meals too. And lastly, a kind host.

Andre est très facile a contacter, très soucieux de donner toutes les infos necessaires au sejour, très sympathique et discret. Chambre très calme très propre dans une petite maison de l'autre coté du pont Luis. Une jolie promenade surplombant Porto pour se rendre a pied au centre historique

I have spent 3 dans in Porto and the location of Carlos house, nearby the train station and métro is perfect to visit the city. I do apprise Carlos hospitality

The stay at Diego was as good as the Last time that is why I came back and I will do it again for my next trip to Porto.

Carlos' place was cosy. As the other reviews stated, it is a good deal for the price. Carlos' hospitality helps us travellers a lot too. One thing to note is that two rabbits live in this place, and this actually turned out to be my problem because I have cat allergy. For those of you who have cat, dog, or any kind of fur allergy, I cannot recommend this place.

Carlos was very friendly and extremely diligent in ensuring I had a pleasant stay. Communication was very open, regular and efficient. The house is charming and perfectly-located, within a three-min walk from the Campanhã train station: for me it was perfect as I was able to do a quick stop to drop my bag, meet the host and have a quick briefing before going to the Porto stadium

We had a great time in Porto wile staying with Carlos. He is a verry nice guy and we hope that we get another chance to stay at the dollhouse.

The flat is atypique and near the center, we have metro and train station at 1min :D Carlos & co was so friendly, he likes to talk about his City and we learned a lot about Porto. We go out on a beautiful place he shares With us, next to the flat and With a wonderful view ! We are so hapy we have win new friend ! :D

Diogo, thank you for your hospitality, everything was ok, the room is very simple but it is the good value for money, perfectly located. I could recommend staying at Diogo's room to anyone who wants to get the feeling of living in the real little old Porto house. There are some good athmospheric local eateries around, on the way to Campanha station. Fell in love with Porto, wish to come back one day. Eugene.
