  • The cabin was cute and cozy. Great place to go unwind. Gill was lovely and made sure we were comfortable! Brilliant place to stay

  • This place is everything it says it is and more. Comfortable and clean wood cabin with fab scenery and walks. Gill is a great host who makes you feel welcome and comfortable. I also had nice chats with Peter. Good people.

  • If you’re looking for peaceful, homely and quiet this is the place to be! Gill was extremely accommodating and very informative. The cabin is beautiful and has everything you need for comfort.

    Robyn2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at Gill's place, it was a perfect location for a quick getaway from london. We took our one year old, and Gill let her feed the chickens which she loved! There were quite a lot of low down things we had to hide from the little one, so if you are taking a mobile baby just be aware.

    Helen2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • A pleasant cabin and welcoming host. Great place to spend a few days.

    Matthew2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Wow what a lovely place to stay. Amazing surrounds and beautiful views morning, noon and night. A great place to have a little break from the day to day. We would definitely stay again.

    Brandon2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • A delightful place to stay, and we felt well taken care of. Thanks Gill!

    Andrew2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Such an amazing place to stay in the Surrey Hills - plenty of rambling opportunities nearby (about 3 mile walk to Shere village) and easy access by car. The cabin was stunning and had everything I needed; very comfortable and such a peaceful location, listening to the owls at night and waking up to the rooster crowing in the morning. Gill was lovely and very welcoming and showed me the local spots to visit - also, a slice of her homemade cake on arrival was such a lovely touch! Would definitely stay again!

  • The lodge was beautiful! Everything was as expected and described. There were lots of personal touches throughout the property and was spotless. Barbara was very flexible about when we arrived after driving down late from work and allowing us to just let ourselves into the property but despite being late, Barbara still greeted us when we arrived, showing us round. It was down a lane, privately gated and was easy to find. The grounds were beautiful and would love to stay again in the summer to really appreciate how beautiful they were. It was so quiet and the bed was extremely comfy - best night sleep we’d had in a long time. It’s close to Cranleigh where we had a lovely meal! Barbara beforehand told us of some lovely places to eat in the area so we could plan our weekend. Will definitely be staying again!

    Chloe2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is very nice, spacious enough for us and our toddler, and the gardens are very safe (enclosed by a full wall) so that was great with a little one. Very comfortable, quiet, but only a short drive to nearby Cranleigh with shops and restaurants etc. A great base from which to explore the Surrey hills!

    Tom2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • What a glorious find! I stayed at Barbara's cottage when I was in Surrey for a wedding, and it was absolutely perfect. The setting is rural, but also accessible to nearby Cranleigh (a lovely village by the way), and is so peaceful, surrounded by beautiful gardens and big trees. The cottage itself was spotless, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay - Barbara was thoughtful enough to accommodate my dietary requirements with the breakfast options that she leaves in the cottage, which I thought was really a nice touch. The bed was SUPER comfy, and the linen felt really luxurious. The night before the wedding, I really enjoyed the DVD collection too. Barbara was such a lovely host. She gave me all the information I needed, and made me feel so at home. I felt like I'd known her all my life! I really appreciated such generous hospitality, and would stay again in a heartbeat. I think I'd like to come back just to chill and clear my head space - it's that kind of place. Thanks again Barbara! And I will miss your gorgeous cat too! Holly

  • My wife and I had the most amazing night at Barbara’s stunning cottage in Surrey. The setting was incredible - so peaceful, picturesque and secluded - and only 5 mins from Cranleigh, where was had a lovely dinner and is a very pretty village. Barbara greeted us when we arrived and throughout was the most hospitable and welcoming host we’ve ever had through Airbnb. The cottage itself is so well equipped and was sparkling clean. The bed was comfy and we had our best night sleep in ages. The gardens surrounding the cottage are just spectacular too - I can’t even imagine how beautiful they would be in the summer. We could have walked around them for hours if it were a bit warmer! After just a night we were sad to leave but we will be returning soon for another romantic getaway from London. Thanks again Barbara! See you soon x

    Alex2019-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at Barbara’s. The property is down a gravel track and I got lost on the way there but Barbara was great and gave me directions to the cottage. I was later than planned and Barbara was very flexible. The cottage is as described and had everything we needed - worth mentioning the oven/hob is table top so not suitable for a large feast but perfectly fine for cooking a quick meal for two. Bed is comfy and bathroom is very clean and modern. We used the hot tub which was lovely, although close to the main house. All in all, Barbara is a wonderful host and all her little personal touches made the cottage feel very cosy and homely.

    Lindsay2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Because me and my partner are living in North London, we wanted our vacation to be a get away from the loud city. Staying at Barbaras was just perfect for this! The spacious garden was lovely and quiet and the cottage itself is equipped with everything that you need. We cooked, had a little Barbecue and even watched a movie out of her big DVD Collection. Sometimes in the morning her beautiful Bengal cat was greeting us with a friendly meow. Barbara herself was very kind and helpful with every question that we had. All together it was just amazing. Thank you!

    Fabienne2019-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Barbara was very welcoming and helpful. The cottage is a lovely place to stay and so peaceful, if you are looking for a relaxing experience then I highly recommend you stay here. Barbara left a lot of information on places to go/ eat, which was very helpful as we never stayed near the surrounding area before!

  • Stayed for one night. Was lovely and cosey. Great for people with dogs and a lovely local pub the fox inn about a 5 minute walk away which also allows dogs. Great stay!

  • Excellent on all counts. Very highly recommended!

  • Very cosy and the perfect getaway

    Sam2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful little hideaway! We loved the privacy, the animals (who were very friendly) the location (in walking distance to pubs & country walks) and the little touches inside the hut such as the fire and extra blankets that made it cozy. Rebecca is a wonderful host and we will definitely be back :)

    Emma2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved our stay in the shepherds hut, it is so beautifully decorated inside and out. We had a really chilled out time, after travelling from our london home. We loved seeing the goats and horses in the field, all the animals were so friendly! The pub around the corner 'the fox' is a great pub with great food - it has a thai vibe to the food, which was amazing! Thank you to Rebecca and Boris for their hospitality throughout. :)

    Victoria2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Such a lovely and cosy shepherds hut. Don't be put off staying in winter the months it was so warm and cosy you forget you're in a hut! Breakfast and cookies was such a nice touch, thank you! Rebecca was so friendly and offered great recommendations of the fox inn and milk churn which made our stay even more enjoyable 😊 we also loved the very friendly goats and alpaca's, we wouldn't hesitate to come back.

    Sadie2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • The area is really picturesque. There's some lovely countryside to explore and Rebeccas' suggestions for places to eat and pubs to visit are excellent. I would definitely vouch for the Chequers Inn and the Milk Churn. The Shepherds hut is cosy and delivers exactly as advertised. The Alpacas, Ponies, Chickens and two unexpected Owls just added to the beauty of the place.

    Simon2019-11-07T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed for 2 nights in the shepherds hut and despite the bad weather we still had a great time as it was very cosy. Rebecca was a fantastic host - she was there when we needed her and had thought of everything - we even had some cookies waiting for us on arrival (as well as other unexpected extras like eggs, bread, milk and OJ)! The hut is in the field next to alpacas, Shetland ponies and goats - we loved meeting them all! I’d certainly recommend the hut, particularly nice in summer with a private outdoor area and bbq. Also recommend a nice local pub called The Fox that is very close walking distance from the hut. Thanks again Rebecca and Boris!

Brand new house, contemporary decor, comfortable and relaxed. Cranleigh is a large village with many amenities (sport, arts, restaurants) set in the rural Surrey Hills - ideally located for walking, yet near to shopping in Guildford, Horsham, Dorking. Only a half hour drive to the south coast - Brighton, Hastings, Worthing - and ideal for National Trust visits. As for me - I can either be invisible or helpful, as you wish! I am a good cook (by arrangement) or you may use the kitchen.
I have a garden and seating area, but as yet not much has been planted (still in the design stage)
Cranleigh is reportedly the largest village in England, nestling in the Surrey Hills and has pretty much everything to entertain you. I love it here...
  • Annie came across as a really nice person with good values.. Would definitely come back.

    Louis2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Annie is a great host. The private bathroom is excellant and right next to your very nice bedroom. Even the cat is very friendly.

    Steve2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Annie’s place was just what I needed for an overnight stay before a job interview in Dunsfold. She was the most welcoming hostess, providing plentiful cups of tea and local information and her cats were super friendly. She also drove me to my job interview which was really helpful and helped calm my nerves. I thoroughly recommend!

    Poppy2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed for just one night but Annie was a great host, very friendly and accommodating. She has a lot of friendly cats too!

    Tom2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Annie is very friendly and welcoming. Lovely warm modern house

    Elizabeth2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Annie was great. I was sick and had to change the booking for another person to stay instead. Annie was extremely accommodating, and understanding. Annie’s home was welcoming, easy to get to, very clean and accommodating. Thank you Annie.

    Farhana2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • Had a job interview near Cranleigh so chose to stay with Annie primarily based on the great value! Had a really relaxing stay, enjoyed Annie’s (+cats) company, and it was perfect for what I needed. Annie is very warm and hospitable and was generous enough to offer to drive me to my interview, so there was one less thing to think about. Would definitely recommend!! Thank you 😊

  • Great accommodation and lovely hosts who were accommodating with our need to check in late in the evening. Very comfortable king sized bed and plenty of storage space. Fridge stocked with milk and bread & butter, coffee machine, toaster and kettle provided and a welcome extra touch of breakfast one morning. Light and airy bathroom with toiletries and plenty of towels supplied. Shower cubicle ever so slightly tight and might be a struggle for some but more than adequate for us. There was also a dining room downstairs that we used for storing our coats and shoes plus a small utility that gave us access to a microwave, which we didn't use. Lovely view out onto Stuart and Tracey's garden and plenty of space for parking out the front. Although it's part of the main house, the accommodation is completely private with a separate entrance. Local Cranleigh has a great selection of cafes, restaurants and shops, Guildford is a 25 minute drive along country roads with good views and the Surrey Hills are only a short drive away. We parked for free at Hurtwood car park and spent the day following a trail we found online.

    Ben2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great experience. Very spacious (we had use of a lounge with log stove, bedroom and a dressing room). Bed was large and very comfortable. Hosts were charming. Little touches put the icing on the cake (like the scented candles, decent towels and nice toiletries). Highly recommend

    Mark2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place, high quality amenities (super comfy bed and private space) and 5* touches (lovely toiletries, breakfast and log fire) and Tracey was very welcoming and responsive.

    Georgina2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I were looking for a place to stay after a hike round the area. We have stayed at many Airbnb’s and Stewart and Stacy’s was by far our favourite! Firstly communication was great, the room is much bigger than expected. Super clean, and the amenities are better than 5* hotels. You have a private entrance which we liked because we don’t like to bother the host. The bed is probably the best night sleep I’ve had in years. The best part about the stay is Stewart and Stacy themselves, we felt like we were with family. After our hike we wanted to go to a pub for dinner but didn’t know how to get there, so they kindly gave us a lift to the pub. They went above and beyond and are lovely, kind people. I can’t think of one negative from our stay, they made our stay a experience not just a room to rent for the night. If you are looking for a Airbnb in the area and don’t stay with Stewart and Stacy you are missing out! :)

Nestled in the heart of the Surrey Hills and surrounded by ancient woodland, we have created a really peaceful space, ideal to use as a base to explore the countryside or perhaps as part of a work trip. The accommodation is in an annexe which is detached from the main house so you will have your own privacy with a separate entrance. There is a brand new, super comfy double bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower and loo. The view from the bed looks out over gardens and the beautiful woods.
There is a brand new bed in the Studio with an ensuite bathroom which includes a shower, loo and basin. There is a kettle with complimentary tea and coffee. We will bring your breakfast to you in the morning - you can use the in-room table and chairs or perhaps enjoy it on the private patio when the sun is shining. Guests also have access to WiFi and Netflix. We have a lovely garden and guests and are very welcome to find a quiet spot to relax. Since we are in some of the best mountain biking terrain in the country, we can store mountain bikes securely.
The property is situated in the middle of the Surrey Hills in an exceptional rural location in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We are in prime walking territory - a footpath leads straight out of the house all the way to the top of Leith Hill which affords some of the finest views in the south of England. Holmbury Hill and Pitch Hill are also close by. Alternatively, take a short stroll through the woods to the millpond at Friday Street where you can enjoy a local gin or beer at The Stephan Langton.
  • Miles and Polly are exceptional hosts, and went out of their way to help us enjoy our stay. Best Airbnb hosts I’ve come across, without a doubt.

  • Miles and Polly were incredible hosts and the place was perfect for our weekend away. The studio was sparkling clean when we arrived and there were plenty of tips/ helpful recommendations for walking trails, pubs, and things to do in the area. They were such a nice family who made us feel at home on their grounds while still offering us the perfect amount of privacy in the studio. Would highly recommend and hope to come back one day!

  • Miles and Polly's home is the perfect countryside escape for anyone looking to relax and breathe in some fresh air. Super comfortable bed, pristine room, yummy breakfast, and incredible hosts! Miles greeted us and was so helpful in showing us around, giving us ideas for places to go for lunch / dinner, and even helped us plan the rest of our weekend. He was readily available if we needed any help, but we also really enjoyed the perfect privacy of our little studio. The ideal balance! The surrounding area is full of great walks through woods and fields -- we highly recommend taking a nighttime stroll through the forest to the pub for a pint!

  • Had a wonderful overnight stay. Vicky was always very prompt in communication, and was there to show us around. She was extremely helpful showing us how everything worked, and had left the place cosy and warm (unfortunately a couple of places we have stayed have noticeably scrimped on the heating which really impacted our stay!). The bed was incredibly comfortable and felt very luxurious. Vicky had left lovely thoughtful touches such as fresh(delicious!)bread, butter, milk etc. The location is a short stroll into Cranleigh which was perfect. Will definitely be back.

  • Virginia’s Pony House is an ideal place to stay. It has a kitchen with a kettle, toaster, oven, microwave, fridge and freezer. The lounge/bedroom has a nice double bed and a tv. The location is good, it’s only a short walk to the main high street in the centre of Cranleigh. Virginia had left milk, tea and coffee and chocolate for me which was great! Virginia was really helpful in directing me to find her and responded straight away to my messages. Thanks so much for a lovely stay.

    Debbie2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Small but very comfortable accommodation. Enclosed secure garden and area for dogs.

    Gaynor2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • This little gem of a place is on the edge of the village. Its within walking distance of several bars and restaurants. There is a supermarket nearby for the things you may need to stock up on. The property itself is well appointed and really comfortable. Virginia, the host, is a lovely warm host who will meet you on arrival. There is a lovely garden which can be used to excercise your dog, if you take it with you. One word of warning though, don't leave your dog unattended in the garden as there is a very low wall to the rear of the garden which if jumped means that they can access the grounds of the school behind (which are very extenssive).

    Marie2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Virginia’s place is a great base for anyone visiting the area. Beautiful property and all of the amenities that you could need. A great host would recommend to anyone. Thanks again Virginia!

  • We absolutely loved our stay. The place is lovely and some of the little touches left by Susan are great. Couldn’t recommend it enough. On a side note, we ate at the fox inn, not far down the road and it was amazing. Great food and home made IPA. 😋

    Gareth2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The place is very well located in the town of Rudgwick. For buying any food/drinks we have Co-Op which is 10 min walk For kids there is Little Street (Its a Role Play) - they have a 60 minutes session and its quite good if you have kids and want to keep them busy Do not miss the 'Milk Churn' for breakfast which is approx 0.5 miles. Do try the Classic Cheese sandwiches which are out of the world. They make their cheese in-house.

    Thomas2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely location, comfortable beds, so many thoughtful touches, even mayonnaise and honey. Really peaceful and comfortable.

    Liza2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • The Summer House was a lovely base for our weekend away. It is very comfortable, spotlessly clean and well equipped. The kitchen unit was perfectly adequate for self catering with two electric hobs, combination microwave and good size fridge with small freezer compartment. The weather was unkind to us but I would imagine in drier weather the patio and garden would be a delightful place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. We would recommend the Chequers Inn for an excellent meal and found Rudgwick Cars to be the most reasonable taxi service.

Hi we are a small family living in the heart of Surrey in a picturesque cottage with a small menagerie including Horses, cats, dog, ducks and fish. Our chalet is fully equipped and suitable for small families. We also have a travel cot.
A quaint self contained chalet, double glazed and warm for all year round enjoyment.
It's a quiet rural area with lots of lovely walks and rides. There are some lovely pubs which serve nice meals which we can drive you to (if available) or you can walk to in less than one hour. Our favourites are The Punchbowl, Scarlett Arms, The Parrot and Gatton Manor (in no particular order).
  • Expect a warm welcome, with all you could need in the cottage and a little extra too. Idyllic setting with a pond and ducks, and horses in the neighbouring field. A beautiful country experience. Many thanks!

    Cecilia2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Nice little chalet/ outhouse. Serene environment with ducks, cats, dogs and horses. Eating out requires driving for a few miles. Eating in and cooking you only have hob and microwave. No oven. Dean was a typical friendly and laid back Aussie.

  • Came across this little gem a few days ago. Decided to book after viewing pictures. Deans communication prior to booking and during the stay was excellent. Great host! The chalet was great! Warm, cosy, unique and a lot of little extra touches made it a great stay! Will look to rebook around summer to really appreciate the beautiful setting it is in. Thanks for being such a great host!

  • This property is as described and illustrated. It suited our needs just fine. It is situated in a beautiful location on the Surrey Cycleway. Ideal for exploring the local area. We visited during a period of heavy rain and local floods but had no issues accessing or using the property. Recommend the chalet if you are seeking an honest value for money place to stay.

  • This is crazy but I actually gave birth during my visit ! Not in the accommodation but the hospital and then came back to the Airbnb. At all times Christine was lovely and kind. She really made us feel at home. She was helpful at all times from start to end, and help my family that only spoke Spanish to be comfortable, going beyond of what you could expect from any accommodation service. Baby Emilio, my family and me left feeling thankful and happy that we stayed there. Clau

  • Had a lovely stay in the Shepherds hut. The space was well appointed, clean, very warm and cosy. Sue was very accommodating and made sure that we had everything we needed for breakfast. We also had great recommendations from Sue regarding local walks, pubs, and places to eat, all of which added greatly to our stay. The design of the space allows for a flexible seating area which was really useful for cooking meals in the hut, as well as relaxing in the evening. We would definitely recommend staying here, as we had a really special weekend, away from the noise and stress of working life. Thanks Sue!

  • Excellent spacious hut with many more amenities than the average hut - it certainly has luxury feel to it! Would recommend this to anyone looking for an escape to the countryside with a twist. Gorgeous setting and a very comfortable and spacious bed (large enough for my 6ft 1 partner!) which converts into the perfect dining table in no time. A wonderful use of space and the views are incredible. Susan is also a wonderful host and offers an extensive breakfast which will tide you over till dinner time! :) U will not regret staying here!

  • What an amazing place! The barn is incredible, so cosy and located in such a beautiful area. We had everything we could have wanted, from the beautiful grounds, to wonderful walks and friendly nearby pubs. Rebecca gave us loads of really helpful tips about places to visit, which we took advantage of, and we’ll definitely be back in the near future!

  • We had a lovely stay at Rebecca’s. The barn is very cozy, nicely decorated. It was very nice to wake up and be surrounded by nature & animals. We enjoyed a great walk and lunch at the local pub that Boris recommended. Thank you both.

  • Rebecca’s place was cosy yet stylish. It was ideal for a getaway from the hustle and bustle of London life. We arrived in the evening and Rebecca welcomed us and gave us wonderful suggestions for things to do. It was clean and a really relaxing weekend away. Thank you Rebecca - hope to come back again in the future.

  • Just wonderful. A relaxing stay in a gorgeous place with very lovely hosts.

    Katy2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Rebecca's place was just the best experience. We had come from abroad to have a break from the heat only to arrive in the middle of a heatwave (not for too long luckily). The barn was just perfect for us and the pool a very unexpected pleasure especially for our children and grandchildren who came to visit while we were there. Can def recommend the Fox and The Richard Onslow for food. Great location and very friendly hosts. Thanks so much.

    Christine2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing stay. The place was filled with personal touches that gave the place a beautiful homely and relaxing feel. My wife and I would certainly stay again and would recommend this barn. Rebecca was a fantastic host who knew when to give us our privacy but was also available whenever we had any questions. Thank you so much!

Warm and newly refurbished holiday let with excellent facilities, set in the Surrey Hills and near to Leith Hill. Perfect base for hiking. biking, riding or just to get away. Open plan area with kitchen, table and chairs, small settee ladder to mezzanine level with sofa (sofa bed) and chair. Good size bedroom with queen size bed, some drawers and hanging space. Modern bathroom with shower. Ample parking. Good local pub within walking distance and several others a short drive away.
As we have our own horses at the property any dogs visiting would have to be on a lead when outside. We could have the facility for visitors to bring their own horses but this would have to be by separate negotiation.
Forest Green is a small village and a perfect base to explore Surrey Hills Area - walking, cycling or riding. Our local pub, The Parrot is within walking distance and there are many other good places to eat in the area. We have a local Farm Shop which has an excellent range of fresh meat, vegetables and cheese plus necessities, such as bread and milk and other gooodies to temp you. We are a short distance by car to Dorking, Horsham, Guildford, Gatwick and M25. Good rail links to London from Dorking Station. As we are fairly central to the above towns the property could well be suitable for those wanting a base when working in the area during the week or on training courses.
  • A very cosy cabin in beautiful countryside and with everything you would need for a relaxing stay.

  • Absolutely fantastic stay at Hunter’s Lodge. Very cosy and private, with great warm shower and lovely amenities. Now with Wi-fi, which makes a difference as phone reception not so good. It is nice to be near the horses in their stables and enjoy a lovely rural setting. I would definitely return. Marion was lovely too. She left me to it, but was super responsive if required and was very kind to change the linen. Many, many thanks,

Set in protected woodlands, on the grounds of The Old Barn, a Tudor barn conversion, the Blue Barn was built as an annex housing garages and a studio apartment, complete with a separate kitchen, laundry and dining area. A one acre meadow is available for picnics, barbecues and outdoor relaxation.
Solid oak floors, cosy and warm. Recently refurbished with hotel grade beds that can be made up as a king or two twins. Sofa bed also available. Full kitchen with boot hall, dining area and laundry.
Extraordinary location set in beautiful forests with views of the South Downs. Excellent foodie pubs nearby. Stunning National Trust properties to visit in the region.
  • Anastasia's home sits in wonderful grounds. The room is cosy and warm. Slightly awkward that the kitchen and associated facilities are accessed through the outside of the house. The hot water for the shower was not sufficient for two people to take a longer shower, but all the facilities themselves were great. I would stay here again!

This is a peaceful self contained rural retreat which is situated above a working livery. Chickens and ducks roam free in the yard! A great place to switch off and relax. There are lovely pubs and restaurants nearby. Ewhurst village is a short walk away and Cranleigh village is a short drive away. We are situated in the beautiful Surrey Hills - wonderful cycling country. We hope you enjoy your stay here.
This is an apartment with its own front door and lock key safe so you are completely independent to come and go as you please. The apartment has 2 double bedrooms, an open plan kitchen with a table that seats 4 and a living space with TV and log burner. The bathroom has a shower and no bath. During the day there are people coming and going as this is a working livery - there is always a friendly face to point you in the right direction!

Rosemary and Norman are wonderful people with a truly beautiful BnB - it is very light with lots of large windows and a lovely garden. Check in was very straightforward, Rosemary provided us with lots of useful information ahead of our trip. The house was very clean and the room had everything we needed and comfy beds. Our stay included a delicious full breakfast that we were not expecting but very happy to receive - we did not want for anything during our stay. Would highly recommended the Hus for anyone looking to stay in this area.

Edgeley Park is a beautiful holiday park laid out with plenty of shrubs and hedges that create a true feel of the countryside it sits within.

Stylish independent annexe, own entrance, in the grounds of an Old Vicarage. A perfect retreat to get away from it all. This spacious suite is light, airy and comfortably sleeps up to 3 guests with en-suite shower and separate toilet and basin. Facilities to make light breakfast within The Annexe (welcome pack provided). TV, DVD, Wii and good wifi. The Annexe is surrounded by beautiful countryside providing lovely walks and cycle rides from the doorstep. A pub at either end of the lane!
COVID-19 Our policy is to always clean The Annexe thoroughly. Before every booking EVERY surface is antibacterially cleaned this includes everything from door handles, television controls to the fridge and the floors. This is not a special cleaning programme due to Corona Virus it is our usual standard. Excellent take-aways are currently available from The Fox (free delivery) and The Milk Churn. We are offering a truly lovely spacious (32 sq m) suite with an en-suite shower room and separate toilet and basin. The room is light, airy and decorated in a fresh, beach-inspired style with high ceilings and open eaves providing a stylish, contemporary haven. The Annexe is totally independent from the main house with its own entrance. We live in The Old Vicarage so are generally there if you need us. Self check-in is available, if preferred. The Annexe has a king-sized bed (5') and a single bed. Both beds are extremely comfortable divans with good quality, feather duvets, freshly ironed bed linen and a choice of pillows. Fluffy towels are also provided. There is a seating area with small sofa and coffee table, and for your entertainment - freeview TV, a DVD player (a selection of DVDs provided), a Wii console (a few games provided) and a box of traditional games for all ages. There is free WiFi with a good connection. The room can comfortably sleep up to 3 people. There is a built-in shelved cupboard for storing clothes. We welcome well-behaved, clean dogs but ask our guest to please ensure they are happy to accept our Dog Rules (under House Rules). We charge £10 per stay for dogs to cover the cost of extra cleaning. This charge is requested through Airbnb prior to your stay. There are facilities to make hot drinks and a small fridge and toaster to enable our guests to make a casual breakfast. We provide a "welcome pack" of a small loaf, butter, homemade jam, milk, a choice of cereals, together with tea, coffee and biscuits, to make you feel at home. We hope thoughtful little details such as the provision of a powerful hairdryer, lovely Cole and Lewis bathroom products, fresh milk in the fridge and all your washing-up done for you will make our guests feel special. The Annexe has good heating in cold weather and a fan (with a sleep mode quieter than a Dyson!) for hot weather. There is a small courtyard which in the warmer months is furnished with table and two chairs (to relax - read a book, enjoy your morning coffee or perhaps a sundowner.) Table and chairs stored indoors during the winter months. Our guests stay at The Annexe for many different reasons. Some are visiting friends in the area, attending a wedding or party, many are traveling and appreciate a comfortable bed for the night, a lot are on business and want a 'home from home'. Increasingly many guests come just to relax, unwind, enjoy the beauty of the countryside and a pint at a genuine local pub. The Annexe is a tranquil space where our guests find they can relax and escape today's stresses. Every consideration has been given to our guests' well-being. Our aim is to make a little oasis of calm where our guests can unwind, feel at home and recharge their batteries. There is an allocated parking space on the drive. We aim to respond to all enquiries and requests quickly as we know how frustrating it can be waiting. Once a booking has been confirmed we email our guests a guide to The Annexe, recommendations on local restaurants and places to visit, etc to help you plan your stay and make the most of your time here. We are lucky to welcome back several repeat guests.
Rudgwick is nestled between the North and South Downs, close to the Surrey Hills but also an easy drive to the coast. If you love nature, you will love it here. There is a vast choice of walks and cycle rides available on the doorstep. There's loads to do in the area and some great pubs and places to eat. At either end of our lane you will find a pub. One is about a 20 minute walk and the other is just five minutes walk. Both pubs serve food and provide takeaways. Also down the lane is a really cute cafe called The Milk Churn. It is owned by the local farmer who produces Sussex Charmer (cheese) from his herd of cows. Here you can get a bacon buttie in the morning or fantastic cheese on toast for lunch. Next to the Milk Churn is a micro-brewery where you can book a tour, or just pop in and taste the local brew. You will also find a pretty church and a well stocked, open-all -hours shop where you can buy any provisions you might need (including freshly baked bread and croissants!). There are some really beautiful local walks (the local woods are a carpet of wild flowers including bluebells and wild onions during the Spring), or if you have your own transport there are loads of places to visit close-by. Guildford is great for shopping or hiring a rowing boat to take a trip down the river. Petworth Park is about a half hour drive away. The coast is less than an hour. Fisher's Farm is lovely for children and only about a quarter of an hour's drive. The quintessentially English village of Shere is about a 20 minute drive - this is where Holiday and Bridget Jones were filmed. Arundel Castle is well worth a visit, as is Chichester. I could go on and on..... Rudgwick has become a cycling mecca as it is situated just off the Downs Link (a disused railway track from Guildford to the coast) now used by cyclists and walkers. The famous Olympic cycle route is just a few miles down the road. A wash down area for cycles and doggies can be provided, if necessary. Gatwick Airport is a convenient 30 minute drive. The view from The Annexe window is of our home, The Old Vicarage dating back to 1450.
  • Beautiful accommodation with thoughtful touches and very accommodating of our last minute booking! Lovely local scenery for a country walk!

    Laura2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This was such a perfect self contained flat above an oak car port with a welcoming host, full of extra special touches like home made jam, personalised welcome letter and quick responses from owner. Place was spotless and well equipped, cosy, quiet and in a beautiful location, onsite with owner for help if needed, but also detached from their residence with a private self contained feel too. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back when in the area again.

    Tristan2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place to come and stay. Very clean and extremely comfortable. Alison was also very quick with responding to emails. 10/10

  • Such a lovely place to stay, 2nd time here and would highly recommend!

    Terri2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Our third stay and as always the annexe was spotlessly clean. Lovely comfortable room, fab bed with quality furnishings and very thoughtful amenities. Loads of helpful local info in the room and great communication from Alison prior to and during our stay. Can’t recommend highly enough!

    Kate2020-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • Another excellent stay , thank you Alison.

    Jill2020-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • Although we missed Alison on our arrival a message was sent to us saying if we needed anything to just shout which was lovely! The Annexe was just as described and the extra touches of breakfast bits, extensive welcome pack with places to eat and visit (we had a dog with us) and little washroom bits in a cupboard incase you had forgotten anything was great! Lovely setting, very quiet and a great base for our weekend break, thank you ever so much. We would not hesitate to stay again !

    Laura2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Alison was a great host and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at her place. She provided great tips and ensured we were welcomed during our stay. The annexe was also extremely clean and has all you would need to enjoy your time there.

A private and very comfortable space in an idyllic location. Once here you don’t need a car as this famously pretty village has a variety of small shops including a very good mini-supermarket, an award-winning cafe, a pub and an excellent restaurant. From the house you can walk straight out into wonderful countryside and as Shere was on the route of the 2012 Olympic Games cycling road race, it’s also great for cyclists. Places of interest include Grange Park Opera which is 10 minutes drive away
This is a very comfortable apartment in a traditional country house. The apartment offers the space to relax and unwind in light and airy surroundings.
Shere is a charming village which, combined with its convenient access, makes it an ideal location for a holiday break. These factors also mean that it is popular as a setting for film locations including "The Holiday" which used our driveway and grounds in the film. Situated on the North Downs in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, we are fortunate to have a variety of good walks direct from the house. Shere is on the National Cycle Network and cyclists are welcome to use our secure storage for two bicycles. National Trust Houses within a short drive include Hatchlands Park, Polesdon Lacey, Leith Hill Tower and the recently opened Leith Hill Place (former home of Ralph Vaughan Williams and where he composed The Lark Ascending). Clandon was tragically gutted by fire in 2015 but is occasionally open to view progress with the salvage operation and future rebuilding plans. West Horsley Place is the new venue for Grange Park Opera and is a 10 minute drive away. Silent Pool Gin distillery and Albury Organic Vineyard are about 20 mins walk (3 mins drive). Tours have to be booked ahead. The Astro turf tennis court is available on request. The village offers a variety of places to eat including a cafe, a pub and an excellent restaurant (requires booking). The village shop has a good range of food for those who prefer to cater for themselves.
  • A great place for a weekend away.

    Jake2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • A great airbnb, very comfortable and sparkling clean. Jenny left a great basket with some food snacks which as much appreciated. The village is beautiful and setting amazing. Would definitely recommend this home to others .

  • Such a beautiful space, so tastefully decorated and designed with lovely touches throughout. Highly recomend.

    Tina2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Stunning house, great village, only wish we could have stayed longer. Breakfast box is a great touch

    Simon2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful apartment! Spacious, warm and super comfortable. Location of the apartment is ideal, being 5 minutes walk to the main street in Shere and in the middle of the countryside, near to some lovely footpaths for quick or long walks. Jenny was extremely quick in getting back to our request the day of the booking - within an hour of our original request, when we were looking to stay that night! And communication was easy and frequent throughout our stay, especially when we decided to stay an extra night because we were enjoying it so much! The breakfast box, as other reviewers have mentioned, was a lovely touch. Spotlessly clean too, our stay couldn't be faulted. Thanks Jenny!

    Mehnaz2019-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful location, very rural yet just a few minutes' delightful stroll into the lovely Shere village. The apartment is warm and comfortable, clean and thoughtfully presented. Generous breakfast box provided, and Jenny was very helpful. Beautiful walks from the door - we enjoyed a peaceful and relaxing break.

    Katy2019-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful, traditionally furnished apartment in a lovely, old house. It's spacious, private and quiet. The breakfast provision is an unusually high standard - generous, lots of choice and healthy options eg organic sugar-free muesli, fresh fruit, wholemeal bread. The village itself is lovely too with two outstanding eateries - The William Bray gastropub and Kinghams restaurant. There are also some interesting shops and nice cafes. It's an ideal spot for a Silent Pool distillery tour - an easy, attractive 20 min walk and you're there.

    Brian2019-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • My stay in this great location in the AONB Surrey Hills was fabulous! Shere is so pretty - a quintessentially English village, and steeped in history. The Old Rectory is in a very tranquil setting, perfect for resting up and using as a base for walking, cycling and dining at the many really good pubs in the vicinity but close enough to Guildford and London if you're looking for a bit of city life too. The welcome pack Jenny left out for me on arrival was extremely generous, and she and her family couldn't have been more approachable, helpful and friendly during my stay. Can't recommend highly enough.

Period cottage in the charming village of Shamley Green, 4 miles from Guildford town centre in the heart of the Surrey Hills. Recently refurbished and in the grounds of a private house.
The exceptional situation of this cottage makes either a perfect retreat for walkers in our area or a convenient place to stay if you are on business here and/ or visiting friends. With it's own enclosed courtyard it is quiet and peaceful. It is an old coach house and retains many of the original period features. It is stylishly decorated with an oak floor downstairs, carpet upstairs and cosy, comfortable furniture. Open plan kitchen/living space, private courtyard with outdoor table, chairs and covered seating.
There is a very good shop in Shamley Green (5 minutes' walk from cottage) selling upmarket foods and wine along with newspapers and all household goods etc. There are 2 pubs in the village - The Bricklayers Arms and the Red Lion - both a short stroll down the road. Both pubs serve delicious food and are open 7 days. There is also the Speckledy Hen, an independent cafe/deli open Mon - Sat 9 until 4 for breakfast, coffee & (fantastic) cakes, light lunch and afternoon tea.
  • A cut above. Faultless.

  • The space was perfect. The kitchen was well equipped and Charlotte kindly left us some provisions for breakfast. The sofa was the most comfortable sofa we’ve ever sat on - it reclines. It’s a really lovely cosy space perfect for 2 people with a shop (which was really well stocked - even had GF foods and DF milks in) and 2 nice pubs close by. The walks were right on the doorstep and super easy to find as Charlotte kindly marks them out on a map for you. All in all a perfect stay.
