Places to stay in Evesham
Set in the vale of Evesham, built in 1904, our beautiful home & garden, with many original features, is a perfect base for touring Cotswold villages, climbing the Malvern hills, visiting Stratford upon Avon or local National Trust houses. Poor local bus services but regular trains to Oxford & Paddington Station, London.
This single room is perfect for anyone visiting to work in the area. When the main guest room is NOT occupied the first floor shower room is for your designated use. When there are other guests, the ground floor Shower room will be for your use only.
Evesham is a market town located in a loop of the River Avon, around the remains of an ancient abbey. Once famous for its orchards and horticulture, it has a beautiful award winning park and lovely riverside walks and a broad selection of places to eat and spend an evening.
  • Lovely home, very welcoming host, comfortable room and bathroom right outside the door. Who needs more than that! Would be very happy to stay again. Thank you Caroline.

  • Caroline's place is lovely and so is Caroline herself! She was out when I arrived, but left detailed instructions on how to check in and everything was all ready for me. We met later that evening and had some great chats. Millie the whippet is very sweet and spent a lot of time curled up quietly on a couch. Everything was really tidy and clean and the bed was very comfortable, so I had a great sleep! Caroline's house is in a really great location, just a short walk up the street to the main town centre of Evesham.

  • A lovely stay at Caroline’s place. She made me feel very welcome and made me a cup of tea as soon as I arrived. The room was lovely and the shower was fantastic. I’ll come back for sure.

in the Vale of Evesham, our beautiful home; built 1904 with many original features, is a perfect for touring Cotswold villages, climbing the Malvern hills, visiting Stratford upon Avon or local National Trust houses/gardens. Regular trains between London & Evesham BUT car is essential for touring the area.
Overlooking quiet gardens, our peaceful guest bedroom has the use of a small recently refurbished bathroom nearby, no bath, but with a generous sized shower and downstairs there is a further shower room. Occasionally the shower rooms will need to be shared when the single room is occupied. Please note the double bed is standard size, 4'6" wide by 6'6" long. Unless I have friends over for supper guests are welcome to use the kitchen to cook a meal, though most people seem to go out to eat.
Apart from our lovely neighbours, we have the River Avon and a great prize winning park beside it. For night life we have the amazing restored Art Deco private cinema, The Regal, with the latest films, live acts and music.
  • I can't recommend a stay with Caroline highly enough, the room is lovely and the location is perfect with easy on road parking right outside but most importantly Caroline (and of course Millie) was the perfect host. I felt more like I had been invited into a friend's house rather than a stranger's and I could happily have sat chatting to her all evening. I hope to be back soon!

  • Very clean and warm, very friendly and welcoming. We stayed at Caroline’s on the way up to Birmingham NEC to see a show. She was very helpful also with directions places to eat etc. Made us feel right at home.

Surrounded by glorious countryside, there are many cycle routes and walks to discover, including the short yet energetic walk along part of the Cotswold Way walking trail up to Broadway Tower, with breathtaking views at the top. Broadway is an ideal location for exploring the many pretty towns and villages of the North Cotswolds, as well as other tourist destinations such as Stratford-upon-Avon, Oxford and Blenheim Palace. Important Customer Notice: - Special Events: Christmas, New Year and the Cheltenham Horse Racing Festival are Special Events, with bookings typically limited to weeks only from a specific start day If your dates don’t appear to fit, then please click Contact Host below to find out what options may exist for you!
The pretty stable door opens into an entrance hall with space for hanging coats and storing shoes. Two steps lead down into the living room, and the following rooms are on the ground floor: Living room: This stunning room has a beautiful exposed Cotswold stone wall and a stone fireplace with an electric flame effect stove. There is a leather sofa, two armchairs, a leather pouffe and an Ottoman, and a small selection of board games and the wall-mounted Smart TV with DVD player provide entertainment for rainy days; Kitchen/dining room: The well-equipped kitchen overlooks the enclosed garden and contains an electric oven with four-ring induction hob, kettle, toaster, coffee percolator, a fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and a washing machine. This sociable space also has a wooden table with seating for four, as well as a leather sofa and a stereo; Family bathroom: The smart bathroom, decorated in neutral colours, contains a bath with overhead shower, toilet and wash basin. A wooden door from the living room opens to reveal a steep staircase up to the first floor landing, off which are the two bedrooms in the eaves: Master bedroom: This romantic room has a double bed, a chest of drawers and a hanging rail for further storage; Bedroom 2: This cosy room overlooks the garden and has a built-in double bed, chest of drawers and hanging rail. The garden is accessed from the kitchen and has two attractive seating areas bordered by leafy shrubs and colourful flowers. One area has a Rattan furniture set and the other has an outdoor table with seating for four, along with a gas barbecue. The rest of the garden is laid to lawn and is a lovely area to relax and unwind in the warmer months. Free on-street parking is available on the neighbouring streets and Pay & Display car parks can be found in the village if needed.
Broadway is a beautiful village in the North Cotswolds, steeped in history and surrounded by stunning countryside. The village gets its name from the wide street, or broad way, that runs through the centre which was once the main road from Worcester to London. This attractive High Street is bordered with chestnut trees and honey coloured stone cottages dating from the 16th century and is one of the most picturesque villages of the Cotswolds. The broad way is thought to be especially wide because at one time there used to be streams running each side of the main drive. These streams were eventually hidden in underground pipes where they would emerge at 'dipping' points, but sadly they are now almost completely invisible. The village has artistic links with famous dwellers including J.M. Barrie, Mary Anderson and William Morris, who were drawn to the tranquillity of Broadway. It was here that Morris and John Ruskin pioneered the idea of the Arts and Crafts Movement which made its home in the area and went on to be an international movement. One of the iconic features of the village is Broadway Tower which was built in the late 18th century by the Earl of Coventry. It is said that the tower was erected so that the Countess could see if her Cotswold estate was visible from Croome Court in Worcestershire, which it was. The folly stands some 1,024 feet above sea level, making it the second highest point in the Cotswolds after Cleeve Hill. In fact, on a clear day, visitors are able to see 14 counties from the top! William Morris was so taken by the tower that he went on to establish the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings in 1877. Food & Drink Broadway has a number of places to eat and drink, with a range of cuisines and prices to suit most tastes and budgets. The list below is a sample of the options available: Russell's (www.russellsofbroadway.co.uk): Head Chef, Neil Clarke, serves modern British food in the award-winning restaurant, with local Vale of Evesham and Cotswold produce featuring throughout the daily-changing menus. The modern, airy dining room is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with friendly staff and laid-back service combining to create a relaxed and warm setting, day and night; The Lygon Arms (http://www.thehotelcollection.co.uk/hotels/the-lygon-arms-hotel-cotswolds/): A 17th century minstrel's gallery, a grand open fire and an imposing barrel-vaulted ceiling greet you as you enter The Great Hall, the main dining room of the famous Lygon Arms Hotel. A destination in its own right, people travel miles to enjoy the restaurant's 2 AA Rosettes for excellence sumptuous cuisine and warm friendly service of the highest quality. A few steps across the courtyard, Lukes Bistro offers a relaxing atmosphere serving traditional English cuisine with a contemporary twist, equally as imaginative and as fresh, using ingredients that are grown and reared locally, including a wide range of herbs and plums from the hotel's own orchards; The Potting Shed (www.dormyhouse.co.uk/potting-shed-restaurant): The Potting Shed is everything a Cotswold country dining pub should be. It's relaxed and inviting, with a large leather-and-oak bar and a rustic agenda. This is English pub grub as it ought to be: sticky ribs, great bangers, slow-cooked pork belly and fish that's been caught on our shores. Dress up and enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail, or dress down and bring the kids.

This is a downstairs bedroom with a small double bed and own shower room which is across the hall. It has a walk in wardrobe with chest of drawers, mirror and chair. Toiletries, towels, linen, hairdryer and an electric blanket in the winter. Off road parking. I offer a light breakfast of cereal, toast, tea and coffee. We are a friendly household, a very much 'home from home'.
My home is in the countryside, near Pershore College, an easy walk into town ... Under a mile and your right in the middle of Pershore. Pershore has an abbey, a lovely park, indoor market, theatre, cinema, tennis courts, sports centre with a swimming pool and plenty of places to eat. I'm flexible on arrival times, on certain days....so if you wish to turn up early and leave your car to walk into Pershore then that's fine.....just let me know.
My home is down a quite country road, overlooking Bredon Hill. If you stand down the bottom of the garden you can also see the Malvern Hills.

  • My husband and I stayed here for one night, it was a very last minute booking after a long day of travelling but Jayne was so accommodating and waited for us for a later than usual check in. The location is beautiful, close to the Cotswolds and surrounded by country side, very private and secluded. The room itself I cannot fault - beautiful interior, absolutely spotless and everything you could need for a short stay. Small touches made a big difference and we felt as if we were in a home from home. Access to the room is very secure and private in a beautiful setting. We would recommend Jayne’s to anyone looking to stay around the Cotswolds in a beautiful and tranquil place, we hope to come back again soon and explore more of the local area! Thank you so much Jayne x

    Jodie2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Jayne’s little place truly is perfect for a weekend getaway. A stylish studio at the bottom of her garden with everything you may need and more! Her hospitality was above and beyond, from welcoming us with all the best local suggestions, down to preparing a generous breakfast hamper for us in the morning. Private access to the studio and perfect for winter and summer. The heated floors are a treat! We will surely be back to explore Cotswolds, perfect location. Many thanks Jayne!

Welcome to Halfway House, brought to you exclusively by Character Cottages, local specialists in stylish, Cotswold holiday rentals. Halfway House is a stunning Grade II listed property, which is believed to have been part of a coaching inn dating back to the mid-18th century. The cottage enjoys a peaceful location, yet is just moments away from the centre of the historic market town of Broadway, with its wide range of art galleries, restaurants and pubs. The famed Cotswold Way walking path is also close by, as are many other scenic walks, and Broadway is well located for exploring all the lovely towns and villages of the North Cotswolds, as well as places such as Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick Castle and the dreaming spires of Oxford. Important Customer Notice: - Special Events: Christmas, New Year and the Cheltenham Horse Racing Festival are Special Events, with bookings typically limited to weeks only from a specific start day If your dates don’t appear to fit, then please click Contact Host below to find out what options may exist for you!
Halfway House is located on a quiet road in the heart of Broadway. The front door is located at the side of the property and opens into a hallway. The following rooms are on the well laid out ground floor: Living room: This spacious and character filled room is beautifully presented. There are two bay windows, with window seats, two three seater sofas, oak beams, and a stone fireplace with a wood burning stove. A wall mounted Smart TV sits above the fireplace; Dining room: Another stunning room, with exposed Cotswold stone walls, oak beams and a large inglenook fireplace, which contains the original bread oven and a wood burning stove. There is a wooden dining table with comfortable seating for six; Kitchen: Accessed from the dining room, this well presented room has a gas range cooker with two ovens, a six ring gas hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster and filter coffee machine, as well as a Bose radio & CD player. There is a utility space at the end of the kitchen with a washing machine, tumble dryer and a second sink. Traditional stairs lead up to the impressive, spacious first floor landing, which has two comfortable arm chairs, and provides access to the following rooms: Bedroom 1: A lovely room, which contains a king size bed, dressing table and Freeview TV. There is an ensuite shower room, which contains a walk-in shower, toilet and wash basin; Bedroom 2: Located at the back of the house, this room also contains a king size bed and a wardrobe. A door leads directly into the family bathroom, which doubles up as bedroom 2's ensuite facility; Family/ensuite bathroom: This large bathroom is accessed from both the first floor landing and bedroom 2. It contains a freestanding bath with a handheld shower attachment, toilet and wash basin. Traditional stairs from the landing lead to the second floor bedroom: Bedroom 3: This charming eaves room has a king size bed, ornamental fire place, dressing table and wardrobe. There is also an ensuite shower room, which contains a walk-in shower, toilet and wash basin. At the front of the cottage is a small gravelled garden area, bordered by yew trees, which contains a bench. There are two allocated off-street parking spaces at the rear of the property.
  • I would recommend this cottage to anyone. Absolutely fantastic stay.

  • Gorgeous cottage, short walk from lots of shops, cafe and pubs in a beautiful cotswolds village.

  • Halfway House was exactly what we were looking for on a Cotswolds holiday. A beautiful cottage in a beautiful village, spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. Three en-suite bedrooms with large beds, 2 very large and comfortable sofas in the lounge. Parking for 2 cars a real plus. We could not have been happier, Broadway was bustling during the day (October weekend) but sleepy and calm by night... perfect! The team at Character Cottages couldn’t have been more responsive. Halfway House is a real gem, we will absolutely be back.

  • This cottage is in a perfect location in Broadway, very convenient access to all of the local shops and restaurants and even the awesome park! The entire place is very clean and comfortable. Great place to stay!

  • Great location in Broadway in Cotswolds. Short walk into centre of village. Lovely well maintained and stylish cottage.

    Gareth2018-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cottage in super quiet location (dead-end street; no through traffic; no on-street parking), on amazingly beautiful street. Very spacious! High quality amenities (washing machine, drier, drying rack; dish washer; great double oven;great stove). Two great sofas in lounge!!! Two parking spaces provided at the back of the cottage. A tiny front garden with seating for 2 (cramped)- no outdoor space. Not an issue for us as out all day, and so many places/opportunities around to be/sit outside. Super comfortable, high quality beds/mattresses/bedding. Each bedroom has its own bathroom (1 bath, 2 showers). If all guests want to have a bath, ask the rental agency to unlock that bathroom door on the landing, so all guests can have access without having to go through the bedroom that is linked to that bathroom!!! The door was locked when we were staying- not practical... but an isdue easy to solve! The location is great for exploring the northern/central Cotswolds. Easy 45-minute drive to Birmingham Airport. Super highly recommended!!!!!

During the Covid-19 outbreak we are offering this space to those needing to self isolate, or support workers needing to live away from home. I will leave 3 days between each booking as well as extra cleaning. A small one bedroomed brick barn, in a working farmyard, done out nicely inside, and very cosy. It just needs a little TLC outside! It over looks the Cotswold Hills, and is 100 yards away from a footpath that leads you to Saintbury, and up the Cotswold escarpment.
Sadly there is no WiFi as we do not have access to it at property. The outside space has yet to be finished, and tidied up! However, there is space to sit outside and take in the sun on a picnic table just outside the door. You must like dogs as we have 4 roaming the farmyard as our house is 50 yards away. All the dogs are friendly and well behaved. I am also offering a shopping service to those that have to self isolate. As it is a working farm there will be vehicles and people about the yard at different times.
We live at the base of the Cotswold Hills just outside Weston Subedge, 2 miles from Chipping Campden and 7 miles from Stratford upon Avon.

Sleeping 4 in a comfortable king size double and twin bedroom, it’s perfect for a family, two couples or one couple who like a little extra room. Centrally located in the historic village of Bretforton (and a stone's throw from the historic Fleece Inn), it’s an ideal base to explore surrounding Cotswold villages – many of which are within a 10-minute drive.
Located in the heart of Bretforton, just across from the village green, next door to Bretforton Village School’s playing field, within sight of St. Leonard’s Church and a stone’s throw from the National Trust-owned Fleece Inn, Old Fox Cottage will capture your heart even before you go in. The Tiffany-blue front door, with its foxy door knocker, peeping out from under the immaculate thatched roof, sets the tone for your stay here. It is a delightful property. The owners, Adam and Lois, have worked tirelessly to produce a look and feel that is tasteful and luxurious throughout the cottage. With its peaceful blues, calm creams and woodland themes, you’ll feel particularly warm, cosy and cosseted here. The attention to detail is fantastic, with every mod con anticipated and provided. Shut the front door and all the worries of the world melt away. What makes this cottage additionally attractive is the village of Bretforton itself, which is a friendly, welcoming place best demonstrated by its community shop, stocked with essential items and tasty goodies. Similarly, the Fleece Inn is a warm and friendly place with an impressive calendar of events and activities to enjoy while sampling their hearty menu and fine wines and beers. See the ‘Guidebook’ below for details of things to do and places to see. FULL DESCRIPTION GROUND FLOOR Entrance Hall Enter through the partially glazed front door straight into the light-filled Entrance Hall, which combines as a snug vestibule (great for sinking into the comfy armchairs while pulling off boots and coats) and practical room with cupboard for coats and wellies and a helpful umbrella stand. With its wooden floor, cream tongue-and-groove panelling and original beams, the Entrance Hall offers a warm welcome. Left into… The Living Room The Tiffany blue and cream theme continues into this lovely room, tastefully furnished with two sumptuous armchairs and a large double sofa. The most striking feature in here is the inglenook fireplace with original beam work. Within the fireplace is a wood-effect electric burner. The Living Room is all ready for a cosy night in, where you can enjoy the large, flat-screen digital TV with Blu Ray DVD player and a wealth of films. Alternatively, there’s a Wii console with games if you’re feeling more energetic. An Emma Bridgwater DAB radio with iPod docking station on the dresser is set up for playing your own playlist or a podcast. Back and left to... The Kitchen The beautiful and immaculate country-cottage kitchen has been carefully designed so that every appliance you’ll need for your stay is there, but cleverly hidden away to provide everything you need in a small space; the only obvious appliance is the gas hob with built in oven and extractor hood above. However, an integral slimline Hotpoint dishwasher and integral fridge can be found beside the cooker, whilst behind an ingenious bifold cupboard you’ll find the bread bin, Kenwood microwave and Dualit toaster and kettle. The wall units house everything you’ll need to cater for your group. There’s also an iron under the large ceramic sink and a high chair, picnic basket and vacuum in the under-stair cupboard. Left through to… Utility/Laundry Room A compact space where you’ll find the Hotpoint combined washing machine/dryer, a small library of books, re-chargeable tea light candles and storage cupboards housing cleaning materials and the boiler. Left through to… Family Bathroom As with the rest of the cottage, this room is impeccably and tastefully appointed with limestone floor and travertine wall tiles. Relax and soak away stresses in the large roll top bath that sits under the small private window overlooking the side path. Or enjoy a rainfall shower in the separate elevated double-shower enclosure. The bathroom is thoughtfully stocked with all the shampoo, shower gel and bubble bath you could need – so don’t weigh your luggage down with those heavy items. Return out to… Dining Conservatory Streaming with bright light (even on an overcast day), the heated Dining Conservatory is a great living space: by day it’s an extra living and eating space where you’ll sit to enjoy your breakfasts and lunches and access the patio garden and BBQ outside. By night, it can be transformed into an intimate dinning space with shimmering lighting. Return to…   UPSTAIRS Up the stairs from kitchen turning right into... Master double bedroom The oldest part of the cottage, the master double-bedroom has a cosy yet luxurious feel, tucked under the beams and eaves. From the iron-frame double bedstead you can enjoy private views through the traditional cottage windows. The cushioned window seat is a wonderful place to sit and while away some relaxation time. The bedroom has a lovely full-length cheval mirror, a deep clothes closet, a hairdryer and a digital flat-screen TV for bedtime viewing. Up the stairs from kitchen turning left into... Twin Bedroom A delightful room with two large, single beds, fluffy bed linen with bed throws, original beams and window overlooking a flat roof to the patio beyond. Ideal for children, this room would also suit two adults because of its L-shaped layout, providing individual privacy in a shared space. OUTSIDE The area to the rear of the cottage has been laid to patio and is reached either through the side gate and path or through the back door from the Dining Conservatory. In this clever us of space you’ll find a lovely, ivy-walled sun trap. The main patio area is up two stone steps where there’s a large ‘Outback’ gas BBQ, a rattan-style patio table with four matching chairs to one side and two rattan-style sofas with all-weather coffee table on the other. For a property in the heart of a village, this outside space is marvellously private being surrounded by high walls. (Note: one small window overlooks the area to one side but seems rarely unused.)
Bretforton is a small Cotswold village with a remarkable beating heart. The Community Shop and Café has become a social hub for the village, selling a wide range of essential items and local produce from 7.30am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm Saturday and 9am – 1pm Sunday. You can find the Community Shop in the same grounds at Bretforton Social Club, which can be accessed by car from New Street or on foot by Main Street. For a more substantial shop, there’s Warner’s Budgens, 6 miles away in Broadway (open 8am – 9pm Monday – Sunday). The Chadbury Farm Shop in Evesham is also an excellent little source of fresh local produce. Alternatively, for a big weekly shop or if you need a pharmacy, there’s Morrisons and Tesco Superstore in Evesham. If you don’t fancy cooking, The Fleece Inn is just across the village green. When asparagus is in season, it’s the only place to really enjoy this local speciality. The local faggots, home-made pies and fish and chips are favourites of ours. (They even do take away fish and chips, cider and beers!) When you’re ready to go adventuring, Broadway, Broadway Tower and Chipping Camden are great for seasoned walkers or a short car trip out. Whilst further afield, Bourton-on-the-Water is a firm favourite for children with its famous Model Village, Birdland and ice cream parlours. Should you have the misfortune of feeling unwell whilst you’re with us, there’s a doctor’s surgery in Evesham and hospitals nearby in Worcester and Cheltenham. The nearest dentist is Evesham Dental Health Team.
  • A truly beautiful home, classy decor and everything in the home is supplied to make your stay perfect. Great pretty village with a fabulous pub a minute away. Can't praise The old fox cottage high enough.

  • Me and 3 of my friends came for a relaxing weekend, away from our busy lives near London. This was exactly what we wanted! The cottage is absolutely stunning, so clean and cosy! We arrived quite late at night with temperatures nearly at 0. As we walked in the lamps were on as well as the heating. Everything from tea, coffee, milk and bread was stocked up as well as fluffy dressing gown and clean towels. I would 100% recommend this place and will hopefully re visit next year.

    David2018-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • If you’re looking for a haven of peace and tranquility for a few days - visit Kate! The perfect host, Kate is attentive without being intrusive and a joy to chat to over a cuppa (or a glass of fizz!) The bedroom offers quality linens and soft furnishings and a very comfortable bed. The extremely well appointed bathroom adjacent to both rooms has everything you could ask for and there is an exceptionally high standard of cleanliness throughout the accommodation . Freshly prepared fruit, yogurt, cereals and fruit juice await in the garden room whilst Kate prepares your choice of tea or coffee and cooked breakfast. I had poached eggs on toast with home grown cherry tomatoes. Delicious!

    Sue2018-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely wonderful venue in the country. Our hosts Kate and Chris were exceptional and everything was maintained to a very high standard. It was neat, clean and very comfortable one couldn't ask for better. Honestly the nicest Air BnB i have stayed in Regards Richard

  • You can expect a warm welcome at Kate’s place, it’s a really cute little cottage with lots of character, it’s very well presented and makes a really comfortable stay, perfect for if you are traveling to an event at Ragley Hall as it’s only up the road. Also, the best part was the amazing breakfast that Kate made us in the morning as we admired the serenity of her back garden. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Welcome to my home. Bedroom and dressing/sitting room and bathroom. Lovely Cotswold views from your window's intro you to country life. Charming village a foodie pub's and shop with tea room. Walks, views, charm and history await your stay. Its a private working house in the country and I welcome people to simple space, hospitality and jolly good breakfast. All I ask is that you enjoy your time in The Cotswold's and embrace my home as a home
Simple space that is comfortable and relaxed in a private house that is a working house and not a hotel or indeed aB&B. Your space will be respected and I believe I offer value for money ( The Cotswold's is a busy and expensive location for accomodation with 2or3 night min occupancy only at key months ) in a lovey part of The UK. Therefore Airbnb and The Garden House offer great value and flexibility - plus a warm welcome for sure !
Willersey is a delightful Cotswold Village. Small but it has life and soul - pubs and one shop allows easy living. On the door step of all the Key Cotswold villages and attractions. Also Stratford upon Avon and Cheltenham are both 25mins away if the countryside gets too much !
  • Jeremy made me and my dog very welcome, I felt very comfortable and relaxed. Some of my party were staying in the fish hotel (walking distance) but I was put off by the price of £390 for 2 nights in the cheapest room. It’s is a very beautiful area I’m sure I will be returning.

    Luke2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here for a night as we were attending a wedding nearby. Jeremy could not have been a more helpful host - he was so understanding about our check in time and was very quick to respond to our messages. He was very flexible and helpful. He also served a delicious breakfast in the private sitting room which is next to the bedroom. I would wholeheartedly recommend Jeremy’s place - thank you for making it a great stay!

    William2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Friendly and cosy stay in a small village. Jeremy was very hospitable and made us feel welcome in his home. Great set up with a little sitting room too!

    Marina2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Jeremy was a very friendly and thoughtful host. He was available to answer questions when needed but was very respectful of our privacy. Our main reason for visiting the area was to enjoy the scenic walks. Jeremy provided very helpful guides, maps, and recommendations for these walks.

    Charles2019-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • Jeremy is the ultimate host! He really couldn’t do enough for us, including ferrying us to our wedding party! Would highly recommend!

    Tania2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Jeremy is a larger than life personality. He makes every effort to accommodate his guests. He does provide a gracious breakfast and food in the evening. Something he really enjoys doing. This is something soarly missed in most Airbnbs. The location was deal.

We arrived later than expected to a fresh loaf of bread with jam and butter which was a lovely touch. Self Check-in was very easy and the location is ideal for walks and places to visit such as Stow-on-the-Wold and Bourton-on-Water. Will definitely be returning in the future. All in all, the perfect get-away!

Evesham is a market town and parish in the Wychavon district of Worcestershire. It is located roughly equidistant between the City of Worcester, Cheltenham and Stratford-upon-Avon. It lies within the Vale of Evesham with the River Avon running through it, a 10 minute walk from the house. The town was founded around an 8th-century abbey, one of the largest in Europe, which was destroyed during the Dissolution of the Monasteries, with only Abbot Lichfield's Bell Tower remaining. During the 13th century, one of the two main battles of England's Second Barons' War took place near the town, marking the victory of Prince Edward who later became King Edward I. Recognised for its apples, pears and plums, the Vale of Evesham and its neighbouring areas have some of the most productive horticultural land in the country. During mid March and mid May the soft pink tones of cherry and apple blossom contrast beautifully with the white blossom of the pear and plum as the blossom explodes along the road sides of the Vale of Evesham and surrounding areas known as the Spring Blossom Trail. Throughout the year Evesham hosts an array of festivals, events and fairs such as the Asparagus festival, the Angling festival, the River Festival, the Battle of Evesham Festival, National Morris weekend, the festival of Words and Evesham Regatta and even more. There are many areas designated for walking including the famous "Cotswold Way" which goes from Broadway to Bath. The Cotswold hills stretch from the east to the south-west, while to the west the area is bounded by the Malvern Hills. Evesham is close to famous Cotswold towns and villages, Broadway, Snowshill, Chipping Campden, Stow on the Wold, Moreton-in-Marsh, Bourton- on-the-Water to name a few. Stratford-upon-Avon is most renowned for Shakespeare's birthplace while Cheltenham is renowned for his festivals throughout the year including the famous "Cheltenham Gold Cup" which take place every year in March. A number of "National Trust" properties are near by.
  • A really pleasant stay with wonderful hosts

    Edward2019-11-04T00:00:00Z

  • Attracted by previous reviews of Linda’s BnB these prove to be entirely accurate. A warm welcome, homely atmosphere, comfy facilities and lovely breakfast made for a memorable first experience with AirBnB. Go on, give it a whirl!

    Charlie2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Very refined room, linda is very warm and friendly. We enjoyed it and paid for breakfast. Very beyond imagination, never used, such a formal English breakfast. Very comfortable, very full. Use Google map to navigate. There was a problem at the intersection, an error was reported, and no exit was found.

    2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Better than listed, we were made to feel very welcome. The private lounge was just what we needed to relax. Exceptional cleanliness, comfort and style. Breakfast was lovely, beautifully presented in the conservatory. Jean-Brice and Linda’s attention to detail was exceptional. They were so lovely. No hesitation on recommending this venue.

    Brenda2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Very warm welcome; plenty of space in bedroom & own lounge, own bathroom; excellent breakfast, with a wide variety of choice & hosted by such a lovely, friendly couple, Linda & Jean-Brice, ensuring we were comfortable & had all we needed. We are located in the countryside but within easy reach of Cheltenham, Stratford-on-Avon, the Cotswolds, the Malverns and Worcester. We are a working farm at the foot of Bredon Hill, just over one mile from the local village which has a great pub. There are many great walks and cycle routes around and we also have a large pond which is great for fishing in or relaxing by. The Woodshed is great for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and families (with children).
The Woodshed is a beautiful, detached, timber clad dwelling on an organic farm in the heart of Worcestershire. It is situated next to the farm house, off a quiet country lane, surrounded by fields and with fantastic views of Bredon Hill and the Malverns. A perfect place to relax and use as a base to explore the surrounding area. Sit outside and enjoy the sunshine or stars in good weather or curl up in front of the woodburning stove when the weather turns chilly.
Elmley Castle is a picturesque village with a lovely pub serving great food, a cricket green, a playground, and plenty of footpaths that give access to Bredon Hill and the surrounding villages. The Woodshed is situated just over a mile outside the village along a quiet lane. The nearest town is Pershore which is a ten minute drive away and has various shops and supermarkets as well as good restaurants, pubs and takeaways.
  • The Woodshed was such a wonderful place to stay. Mel has thought of everything you will need for your stay and furnished it beautifully for optimum comfort (& style). Sparklingly clean, warm and set in beautiful peaceful surroundings; we were met with a welcoming smile from Mel and homely touches including a scrumptious home-baked cake, milk in the fridge and fresh eggs from the farm chickens. If I could give it a higher rating than 5 stars then I would!

  • We stayed at Mel’s Woodshed during the Cheltenham Festival week and we couldn’t have asked for anything more. The whole property was clean and the dining / living area was social which was perfect and being able to watch Netflix or On Demand TV was a great bonus! The beds were very comfortable and the bedrooms were spacious! Mel made us feel very welcome and her communication was great. We hope to be back next year!

  • The bakehouse is a simple little spot for a get-away whilst also not being completely isolated. It was nice to be on the farm itself so we could see and meet other people whilst still having our own space. Lucy had put the gas fire on for us when we arrived and also didn't mind us arriving late at night. The breakfast set-up was a lovely welcome and the maps and local guides were great to have too. It's perfect for a weekend of walks and pubbing!

  • A lovely little place. Perfect for a weekend break.

  • Had a lovely weekend at the Bakehouse in Weston-sub-Egde. The cottage was cosy and clean and just perfect! We had a delicious breakfast cooked by Lucy and loved the welcome pack and fresh loaf of bread every day. Plenty of maps and info about the local area was very useful. Will be recommending to friends and family. Thanks again Lucy!

  • Very nice, private stay. Lucy is a great host. I didn't have a car and she drove me to and from the train station. The town is beautiful as well and not too bad of a walk from other towns.

    Lara2019-11-22T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at Lucy’s with my husband and 1 year old. The space was all we needed, quiet, cosy and rural. The accommodation was simple but spotless. We arrived to a cosy place, as Lucy had prepared the fireplace and added nice touches of freshly laid eggs, homemade jam and bread really made the stay lovely.

    Willa2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • We booked last minute and Lucy was very quick to respond. The Bakehouse is in the perfect location to explore the Cotswolds. Lucy is a great host with wonderful local suggestions and homemade bread and fresh eggs to welcome us.

  • Lovely little place! The bedroom in particular was so comfortable with a fantastic large bed and pillows that I had to tell my partner, twice, he could not take home! Sparkling clean, well organised and built for supreme comfort. We didn't want to come home!

  • Miranda’s Place was perfect! A very rural location, which suited us perfectly. However it was well situated to visit the Cotswolds - everything we did was within a 45 minute drive. The property was really nice and clean and Miranda and Alex had clearly put a lot of thought into this property. There was a very helpful guide to the area which included recommendations for restaurants etc. And a wonderful loaf of bread and jam on arrival was really kind. It was a shame to leave this lovely property!

    Joanna2019-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • Miranda's place (the Byre) provided a perfect retreat: it was immaculate, very comfortable and calming. Just what was needed. Miranda was very helpful and responsive, offering suggestions but without in any way intruding on a stay that was intended to get away from it all. And a great base to explore the North West Cotswolds, and the Malverns.

    Sam2019-12-07T00:00:00Z
  • The Byre was as gorgeous! Lovely, warm, and extremely comfortable. I’d love to come back in the spring to appreciate and take full advantage of the beautiful surroundings.
