Places to stay in Everleigh
My house is situated on a quite estate in the village of Ludgershall - Not a beautiful chocolate box village, but it is a convenient place to stay especially if you are not a fan of narrow winding lanes! However country lanes are but a stones throw away to lead you to some very pretty villages. I would describe my home as open to all who want a country break without being in the middle of nowhere or a Monday to Friday resting place with easy access to Tidworth, Perham Down or Andover.
The bedroom is on the first floor and there is a bathroom on the same floor for sole use of guests - I have a double room also The room has a 3ft bed and is north facing but still quite light, comfortable and adequately furnished, There is no television in this room, however there is an excellent Wifi connection so no problem watching programmes on a laptop/tablet/phone Towels are provided
My house is at the end of a cul-de-sac next to farmland with a footpath right behind the fence and woods just a few minutes away with options for short or long walks. Ludgershall has a church, two pubs, a Chinese restaurant, an Indian restaurant, a couple of take-aways and two supermarkets. It is 8 miles from the market town of Andover which has several restaurants, pubs and a cinema. The historic cities of Winchester and Salisbury are 45mins and 30mins drive respectively from Ludgershall and the charming towns of Marlborough, Stockbridge and Hungerford are about a 30mins drive away. The World Heritage Site of Stonehenge is approx 15 miles from the house and the Neolithic Avebury stone circles are 16 miles away. Further afield are Southampton, Portsmouth, The New Forest and the Isle of Wight

Sadly it is not a beautiful chocolate box village, but it is a convenient place to stay especially if you are not a fan of narrow winding lanes! However if you are a fan, country lanes are but a stones throw away and always lead to pretty villages which often boast a nice inviting cosy pub. I would describe my home as open to all who want a country break without being in the middle of nowhere

  • I really enjoyed my stay. Super facilities. Sarah is an excellent host.

  • I stayed at Sarah’s place because it’s located near to the business park I was working at for a couple of days. Double room was comfortable and clean with TV and desk. Shared bathroom on the landing was also clean and shower was good. Sarah was kind and let me use her stove to cook porridge for breakfast and an evening meal. Grocery stores are only a 5 minutes walk away through a short-cut passage to the main road where the bus stop is. Sarah is kind and welcoming and happy to chat to her guests.

  • I stayed with Sarah for more than three weeks, I was traveling from a foreign country, Sarah made me stay very easy, felt like home, she’s very welcoming, warm, thoughtful and nice person. Her home is cozy and clean, she provides everything I needed just like my own home. I had very nice and interesting conversations with Sarah, the house is always quiet, I had a very good three weeks of rest. Staying at Sarah’s home definitely made my trip more interesting and easy, i hope I’ll have chance to visit again.

  • Really nice place; good location esp for Stonehenge ;0) fast and accurate communication. Thank you Hanyan

    Miriam2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Really nice place and ideally located for my needs, great ‘comms’ with Hanyan & Lee. Couple of things which could be an issue, due to the positioning of the toilet, the shower door only opens half way, so if your fairly wide then getting in might be an issue, the other is sound proofing, or lack off, however this is highlighted. Great value for money......

    Ken2020-02-16T00:00:00Z

    Krystyna2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • I came in sort of last minute after exploring the Jurassic Coast and deciding to visit Stonehenge. I requested to book thinking that it may take a while for a response which isn't the best thing when you're traveling in rapid style. I was pleased that Hanyan responded nearly right away I requested my booking! She wanted to make sure I would be okay with them having little ones in the house as there would be a bit of noise from them, which I found very thoughtful and accommodating. The is perfect and quaint, the room has a private entrance in the rear of the house and a wall is shared between you and their living area, which is not a problem at all. I arrived late so Lee had even had the door unlocked for me already so I wouldn't have to fumble to get in with the keypad because it was dark, very thoughtful. It was a great, comfortable space with a nice big desk, a clean and comfortable bed with outlets right beside it, and a nice bathroom and shower with a great hot water supply. Hanyan was extremely accommodating making sure everything was fine with my stay, she's a very nice woman and I rather enjoyed listening to the kids play at times on the other side of the wall. They have a great backyard which the room opens directly into. I had a great stay for the night! The location in proximity to Stonehenge is great and also a perfect location to get to Salisbury to explore the Cathedral and the Medieval Towne. I highly recommend Hanyan and Lee's place!

  • Hanyan&Lee’s place was cute, charming, and extremely clean. It was very conveniently located near Stonehenge in a small village. They provided us with a book recommending local attractions. They responded ultra-fast — we booked day-of due to a change in travel plans and they were ready for us ASAP. I am so thankful! The bathroom even has a heated towel rack, the bed is comfy, and the garden is cute. The room is entirely private. Would highly recommend!

Lovely cosy cottage, the perfect location for a romantic break away. Loved relaxing in the hot tub hearing the birds chirping away. Even had a bottle of prosecco waiting in the fridge for us. Great hosts, nothing was too much trouble would definitely recommend this little gem and would love to visit again one day.

In a charming village, and our own one acre mature garden, the room has its own private elevated deck with a table and chairs. There are 2 pubs approx 10 min walk, and another in next village about 2 miles away.

A stunning rural location with lovely walks, great cycling from the house and surrounding area. Equine facilities including a quaint horse and carriage ride are available close by. Savernake Forest & the Kennet & Avon canal are a short drive away, also Crofton Beam Engines, Wilton Windmill & Waitrose cafe & garden centre near Stockbridge.

  • A beautifully located little cottage, perfect for myself, my husband, baby son and dog. Next door to the local shop which was so convenient and a short walk to the local pub which was lovely! We took the short drive to Stonehenge and Salisbury too. Hanyan came and greeted us when we arrived and made sure we had everything we needed, and made sure check in and out was easy! Thank you 😊

  • Accommodation was perfect, suited my needs, just a shame my stay was so short! Everything you need is available and the cottage is very cosy given the poor weather we had during my stay. The pictures don't do it justice and I loved the en suite, layout is outstanding! Communication and checking in instructions were spot on. Plenty of local information supplied, Hanyan and Lee have literally thought of everything, thank you so much, I will return in the future.

    Viv2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • We wanted a place to stay as we were visiting my brother inlaw and family. The annex far exceeded our expectations, Cara was very pleasant and helpful, she had went ahead to have the heating on as we were travelling with 3 kids all under 5 the youngest being a month old. When we arrived it was cosy and warm and my children enjoyed the space (it had both darts and a billiard table) we didn’t get to use. Also some kids toys and books which was very helpful to keeping my kids entertained through our weekend stay. And then to have WiFi and the choice to choose any movie from Netflix was superb. I had read from previous reviews about the no cooker at the annex so decided to take an electric portable frying pan and my rice cooker to cook our meals. My children then had a play time outside as the weather cleared abit (trampoline, sandpit, swings and much more) To visit in Summer would be great for my kids with the joys of just to run around outside and play. All in all for the price I thought it was fairly priced but could have cost more for such a beautiful annex. Thank you Cara for a wonderful stay we will certainly be back when in the area.

  • The Coach House was the perfect place for our big family and friends celebration. The public rooms are spacious on a grand scale but also beautifully furnished and felt like home from home. The beds and bedrooms are large and comfortable while the kitchen is superbly appointed and capable of feeding a small army - which it did! Richard was an excellent host - whole weekend was faultless and fantastic.

    Bill2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Richard has a lovely place. Stylish and beautiful in lovely grounds. He met us at the house so we knew how everything worked. The kitchen was well stocked which was great as we were cooking for a lot of us. It's a very social space with open kitchen and large living area. This worked great as it was for a university friends reunion and the bedroom setup worked perfectly. We'd definitely return! Thanks Richard.

A private studio situated above World's End Microbrewery, behind The Crown Inn Pewsey. En suite shower and toilet no bath. A light airy room with two skylights and large window. Electric heater. The room is accessed by an exterior staircase; no stair lift available. Own separate entrance. Very close to train station (mainline to Paddington). In the heart of Pewsey Vale, ideal for walking. Near Marlborough. Convenient for Stonehenge, Avebury. Sunday Roasts available at The Crown. Shops nearby.
The accommodation is detached and has its own front door so privacy is high.
Pewsey Vale is an excellent area for walking, the surrounding hills are very picturesque. There are a number of real ale pubs in the village (not least the Crown Inn with its own microbrewery). There is an excellent bakery on North Street where hot rolls and coffee can be bought, a cafe and a take away lunch venue on the High Street.
  • Second stay here, can't fault it. Great communication, perfect size for what we needed and well presented.

    Rebecca2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Helen, Iago and everyone offered such hospitality with warmth and kindness. Wonderful clean and cozy room with many windows to let light in. Quite spacious too. Heater is warm - thank you for warming up the room before our arrival! The amenities like tea set and hairdryer are very thoughtful. Be aware there is no body wash or shampoo! Love how close and accessible it is from the train station. We loved our stay here.

    Michael2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • You climb a few easy stairs and find yourself in a light, airy room - blindingly white and clean. It is essentially a bedroom with attached facilities. I slept very well aided probably by the Landlord's excellent beers; I did not notice any aroma or noise from the attached microbrewery. I was walking and can't see how you can go wrong with this as a base for some beautiful and easy walking countryside. The pub itself was very friendly as were mein Hosts. I ate twice at the pub and the food was good. There is no attempt to overextend so the meals are not elaborate or fancy (or pricey). It's very close to the railway station and a little walk into the village where there are most things you would want. The local bus services go north, south, east and west but not on a Sunday!

    Michael2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fab stay at this crown in pewsey. The accommodation was perfect, clean and tidy and was exactly as advertised. A very cute family run village pub. We stayed for a wedding close by and found it was the perfect location. Pewsey is a very cute little village with a few pubs and shops to visit. We had a Sunday lunch at our accommodation which was unbelievable value and a great roast. I also dined on the Friday evening whilst waiting for my husband to arrive, the best pub lasagne I have ever had. Hosts were friendly and happy to have a chat, we felt very welcome. It’s a 20min drive to malbrough which was nice to visit, lots of shops, restaurants, pubs etc. It cost £22 in a taxi to get back to pewsey which I thought was quite good value on a Sunday evening. I would love to stay here again if I am ever in need of accommodation in the area. Many thanks Helen

Pewsey is situated between Stonehenge and Avebury and we are only 7 minutes walk from the railway station amid a wealth of outstanding countryside. Shops and restaurants all within walking distance in fact a car is not at all essential to your stay. Our little artists hideaway is a unique space full of quirky artworks in a garden of sculptures. It is very comfortable, warm and private and has easy access to all the amenities of the village.
The studio is tucked away behind our house in a private wooded garden. It is warm and cosy and we have made it super comfortable with everything you need for a romantic get away or relaxing quiet time. Even though we are in the middle of a big village you can get straight out into the countryside from the door and you have your own magical wooded path that leads to your house. There is a table tennis and BBQ for your use and your own part of the garden with outside table and chairs. The kitchen has basic appliances, an electric hob and an oven/microwave. It is well equipped with cooking utensils and I also provide basic things like tea, coffee, oils , conserves, sauces and some herbs. In the summer there are fresh herbs in the garden that you are welcome to use. There are two reasonably priced restaurants nearby, an excellent Indian and a great cafe on the canal. If you want more choice Marlborough is 7 miles away and stuffed with restaurants including Rick Steines. There is a bus service that will get you to Stonehenge and Avebury, Silbury Hill and Kennet Longbarrow and also Salisbury and Marlborough so we are perfectly situated if you do not drive or have a vehicle. We are professional artists and work from home so we are mostly around if you need us but if you don't, you won't see us. You will see the chocolate boys, Twix and Wispa, two friendly jack Russell’s who will like to meet you.
Pewsey is a large village that offers a wealth of facilities. It has two supermarkets, both about 3 minutes walk. A bakery, a Boots chemist and a post office..In september 2018 our newly refurbished, £8million sports center will open. It also has an interesting local heritage center that is open in the summer months.
  • Lovely place to stay if you enjoy art. Good selection of art books to read and drawings and sculpture to enjoy. Good welcome pack provided catering for all breakfast needs, good selection of teas and coffee provided. An electric blanket on the bed. Even in February the studio was warm and cosy.

  • Lucy's place is a stylish and cosy spot perfect for a weekend getaway. Some lovely pieces of art and proved to be a great hideout during storm Dennis!

    Tom2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This lovely quiet space is well situated in central Pewsey with bus and rail links nearby, and an ideal base for exploring the delights of Pewsey Vale and further afield. Lucy is a very friendly accommodating host. The studio is at the side of the hosts bungalow with its own pathway and entrance. The bed in the mezzanine level is so very comfortable. There are facilities to cook if required. It is rare to find accommodation that will accept dogs so we were very glad to find this and I am sure we will re-visit.

    Jac2019-12-03T00:00:00Z
  • Lucy’s place is an ideal location for guests to enjoy great walks and popular destinations in the area. It is very private so ideal for a single person escape or a couples retreat. Lucy left sundries such as bread, milk, eggs etc and all amenities were suitable for cooking in if desired. Perfect for taking a well behaved dog as the garden is great for exploring and completely enclosed. Lucy’s 2 little dogs are very friendly and happy to run round with a new friend. I would highly recommend Lucy’s for value and amenities and hospitality.

    Karen2019-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • I loved this quirky studio which is very quiet and private. It was warm and cosy; the bed was comfy and the bed linen top quality; the en suite was sparkling clean, the shower was hot and easy to control; the eggs for breakfast were top of the range, just wonderful! I was there for a short break and found the location ideal. I didn’t want to eat out in the evenings (though there are plenty of recommendations) so was pleased to find that the supermarket was not far away. Pewsey is an interesting place and the countryside around is great for walking. I don’t have a car but the station was just a short walk from the property. So all in all perfect location. Lucy is a lovely host, very friendly and welcoming.

    Glynis2019-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • The art studio is really comfortable, great location for pewsey itself and Stonehenge only being a short drive away. The art is beautiful, it has a very cosy feel. We stayed in October and it was quite cold outside and rained but inside the art studio it was lovely and warm with the heaters and throws. So don’t be worried about staying here when it’s cold, you’ll be fine and warm! Lucy is a great host: warm, welcoming and so helpful. She went above and beyond. I Would recommend to anyone to stay here.

Bright, airy, sumptuous timber-beamed suite with excellent ensuite facilities at this much admired and spacious barn conversion, set in three acres of wildflower meadows, trees and woodland. South Park Farm Barn is the family home of hosts, Casie and Ian. Price includes full breakfast. This is one of 2 suites available. Guest review scores are 9.8/10 or at least 4.95/5 on all the major online travel sites. For availability of the other suite check out: https://www.airbnb.co.uk/rooms/25904340
The Oakwood is a spacious double bedroom with its own ensuite private bathroom, and separate sitting area. Travertine-lined with that luxury feel, the bathroom has a waterfall shower, full length bath, heated towel rail and underfloor heating. Plump pillows, duvets to suit the season and crisp cotton linen adorn a comfortable king-sized bed with the aim of ensuring a good night’s slumber. A large TV screen with access to an extensive Sky TV package viewed from a comfortable sofa add to the entertainment. The Oakwood Suite offers views out onto the woodland and over the surrounding rolling farmland. We will be pleased to welcome you to our remarkable home that is South Park Farm Barn. Dating from the early nineteenth century and named for the southern hunting park belonging to the long ruined and one-time Ludgershall Castle, the Barn was once the ‘out-farm’ barn of a long disappeared farm of the same name. The Barn nestles in its own stand of oak trees and surrounding woodland, with the 800-year old southern boundary of the old hunting park still visible as it crosses our land. A derelict ruin as recently as 2016, we have lovingly converted the Barn into a modern, hi-tech and well-appointed dwelling. In the process we have restored the timber frame, giving it pride of place and making the frame visible, in your room and throughout the building. This is both a building of character and a home for guests to enjoy for a weekend or longer. Guests love the peace and tranquility of the Barn.
  • This place is an oasis of peace. Ian and Casie are such great hosts and whilst the place is stunning in its own right, Ian and Casie were such fantastic hosts it just completed our stay.

    Thomas2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Casie and Ian are incredible hosts, their home is immaculate and beautifully designed. My only suggestion to travelers is know where you are going before dark, we had trouble seeing signs BUT at first call Ian directed us right to the home! Their knowledge of the tourist sights are great and very helpful. The dogs are well behaved and a joy. It's a beautiful quiet retreat within driving distance of many things to see and do.

    Charlene2019-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely peaceful place to stay. The building is beautiful and everything is really clean and comfortable. Breakfast is very good. Ian and Casie are friendly and welcoming. Had a great stay.

    Anne2019-05-22T00:00:00Z
  • Ian & Casie are wonderful hosts. The 'barn' is beautiful and in a very peaceful setting. The bed is very comfortable and the bathroom spacious with a great shower and bath tub. Ian & Casie are very knowledgeable about the area and had so much information to share and had great recommendations for us. We loved meeting the dogs and it is accurate that you can interact with them if you choose, but if not, you will not even know they are there. I highly encourage you to visit the barn, you will not be disappointed.

  • We loved our stay at this cute little hut. It is surprisingly so cosy & warm, with great little added extras to make our stay comfortable. (Continental breakfast items, real coffee & lovely fluffy towels). It was very easy to find, but felt very private and peaceful, like we were miles away from anyone else! The hut itself was beautifully finished inside and the bed very comfortable. It was lovely to spend the evening reading and listening to the radio, after spending all day exploring the countryside. Our only regret is that the weather wasn’t kinder so we could have made use of the fire pit! We hope to be back again in the summer.

  • Fabulous place, exactly how described by Bindy. Walking distance to shop, post office and pub. We struggled to find it, but was in the dark and in the middle of the storms, suggest asking for further landmark. A quirky, unique hideaway! Probably better in good weather so you can use the outside space! Close to Stonehenge. Great find.

    Lynn2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect for a weekend in the country! Pub walking distance. Easy to communicate with Bindy and check in/out. Super cute! Warm, cosy, clean.

    Anna2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Bindys little hut is really cute and cosy and I really enjoyed my time here in the nature very much. Also the hostess always answered promptly, was always extremely helpful and gave good tips. The comfortable bed with the view into the garden and the birds that greet you in the morning with their singing is just beautiful. The village is also very pretty, with nice cottage houses and the further north you go the prettier it gets. I was here without a car and was able to take some walks in the immediate vicinity (e.g. to the pretty pub "The Swan") and also to get to Stonehenge by bus and taxi. A small supermarket is within walking distance. Of course you would have much more possibilities by car, but it worked out very well anyway. All in all it was a wonderful stay and I would love to come back one day!

Beautiful newly renovated modern, thatched cottage. Very large one bedroom on the first floor and kitchen sitting room on the ground floor and brand-new contemporary bathroom on the lower floor. It’s probably one of the oldest houses in Pewsey. Right in the heart of the village. Walking distance to the local amenities of grocery stores, post office restaurants and the train station with direct trains to London. Beautiful country walks straight from the cottage.
Beautifully renovated so the cottage is as new inside but has all the features of a cosy cottage. Brand-new kitchen and bathroom and digital heating. Bedding and towels are soft and luxurious and I have tried to leave every amenity for your comfort. Teas and coffees ( Nespresso) provided.
  • I had a very cosy and comfortable night stay in Sophie’s beautiful cottage with my two-year-old. It’s such a lovely conversion with a very luxurious bathroom. We had everything we needed in the kitchen for cooking dinner and breakfast. We were very grateful for the tea/coffee selection as we didn’t manage to make it to the shops before bedtime. The cottage is full of character, it reminded me of my family home where I grew up in Suffolk especially the beams and low ceilings! We have family in the village so it was super convenient and only a short walk to the co-op. We’ll definitely be back.

  • This cosy cottage makes for a wonderful stay in the gorgeous Wiltshire countryside. We stayed for Valentine’s Day and the cottage was perfect for the two of us. The cottage is well placed for countryside walks, and despite the weather the next day we explored some of the local countryside. For anyone with limited mobility, the stairs are very steep and uneven. Sophie is very considerate and the AirBnB comes complete with many little extra touches to make the stay truly 5 stars.

  • We had a wonderful weekend - the cottage is absolutely gorgeous with lots of character. It's a great base to explore the local countryside - which is stunning. We would go back in a heart beat.

The Byre is the perfect place to relax and explore the beautiful county of Wiltshire. On one level, it is a newly renovated, self-contained wing of an 18th century thatched cottage. The Byre is convenient for Marlborough, Bath, Salisbury, the K & A Canal, Stonehenge and Avebury. As Pewsey station is only a few minutes walk away, day trips to London (1 hr) and Bath are easy.
The Byre is a beautiful conversion of an old milking parlour and consists of a double bedroom, a small twin bedroom, a kitchen/diner/sitting room and a bathroom. It has been luxuriously fitted out with White Company and Mitre bed linen, towels, feather duvets and pillows, John Lewis beds and sofas and high quality new furniture. There is free Wi-Fi, a Smart television with Netflix, parking for one car and a small outside seating area with a table and chairs solely for guests. The accommodation is cosy and as neat as a pin. The Owners: Maggy, Barbara and Bob have been friends for over forty years and decided to buy a house in Pewsey together for their retirement. We are very proud of our beautiful home and garden and offer a very warm welcome to our guests. Maggy and Barbara are classically trained musicians so you might hear the (delightful!!) strains of music wafting around.
Pewsey has a surprising number of amenities, all within a few minutes walk of The Byre, including a swimming pool, a bakery, a butcher, several supermarkets, a Post Office, a bank, three cafes, a Heritage Centre, a library, a wool shop, several playgrounds and some excellent public houses. Within a minutes walk, there is The Scotchel Nature Reserve and some delightful walks up to the Kennet & Avon Canal and Pewsey Wharf. The Pewsey Vale is an area of outstanding beauty and the hills provide many enjoyable walks and bridle paths. There are excellent transport links with buses outside the house, north to Marlborough and south to Salisbury. Trains (4 minutes walk away) go to West Country and 60 minutes into Paddington.
  • We (four adults + two toddlers) had a lovely stay in the cottage. It's not massive, but it's beautifully laid out - for example, the kitchen packs everything you need into a small space - and really comfortable. We appreciated the loan of a cot and high chair, and really liked being so near the station and everything in the village. We would highly recommend staying here.

  • I had a very pleasant weekend here with friends from Uni. The place was spotless and had lovely extra touches like designer towels and throws, and used eco-friendly products. Maggie and Barbara couldnt have been more helpful and even suggested a local Sunday lunch for us (which was delicious!) Would definitely return again with friends or as a couple

The Market towns of Devises, Hungerford and Marlborough are a short drive away. There is a large well known supermarket within 3 miles.
  • A very clean and spacious property. We rented the whole property, but it was also clear that this would be an exceptional B&B. I would highly recommend this property.

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful manor and particularly enjoyed relaxing in the large courtyard area in the sunshine. Sally was a very welcoming and helpful host and would thoroughly recommend staying at this lovely house!

  • A great place. Ten smart, well-equipped, en-suite rooms in a beautiful building. Everything you could want in a kitchen and dining room. Large patio, plenty of chairs, excellent gas barbecue. Easy to find, set in beautiful grounds, surrounded by lovely countryside. Easily recommended.

    Steven2019-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic weekend at the West Wing. Sally was very helpful and communication was excellent. Sally accommodated all of our special requests and helped us to find a caterer. The venue was even better than we expected, and we were lucky enough to have beautiful weather in which to enjoy the patio and grounds.

    Katy2019-05-12T00:00:00Z
  • We spent a truly wonderful long weekend celebrating New Year with friends and family in this beautiful location. Sally was helpful and attentive, answering any questions we had without delay. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable, the kitchen well-stocked and the huge dining room table a fabulous place to share meals, play games and create new memories together. It is worth mentioning that we had wrongly assumed from the photos that the ‘lounges’ were bigger and able to accommodate more of us together when relaxing. Having said this, it did not take away from our enjoyment this weekend.

    Tineke2019-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • A great place for a get together with friends, we booked self catering but the fact it has a B&B setup other times meant all the rooms were of the same high standard, all had TVs and en suites so it was easy to cope with kids having different bathtime/bedtime routines. Also plenty of kitchen equipment and great outdoor space.

  • We had an amazing stay at Stable Cottage! The cottage is beautiful, with lots of thoughtful touches. The well stocked kitchen was a great surprise, and the bedroom and en-suite were beautiful and so comfortable. Olivia was a great host and was on hand to offer any help with the local area. We will 100% return. Would recommend the local pubs for some delicious meals, both an easy walk from the cottage. xx

  • Beautiful, picturesque cottage in a lovely location. The cottage is incredibly well-appointed, with every amenity you need. It’s all done in a fresh, stylish way. A lovely and unexpected addition was breakfast supplies, including fruit, yoghurt, eggs, etc, which basically made this a real B&B. Really was a nice touch. Also the access through the private gate was nice as well. Loved the location, with a couple of great pubs/restaurants very close by. The food at the Red Lion was particularly good! Was also great for our dog, with thousands of acres of land for walks. Highly recommend. Fantastic place and excellent value for money. Will certainly be coming back.

  • We had a lovely relaxing time at the cottage. There were lovely little thoughtful touches everywhere. The walks with the dog were fantastic in such a beautiful area. The bed was the most comfortable we’ve been in and it made getting up a real chore. The local pub was really friendly and welcoming. The food isn’t fancy, but it’s done extremely well. Their homemade rice pudding is to die for.

  • A beautiful cottage in an idyllic setting. The cottage was well appointed, with everything you could need to make your trip home from home. Olivia was kind enough to allow us to bring our boisterous dog, which made a short escape from London possible. Perfectly positioned for visiting the Downs, Salisbury and Winchester, whilst also offering a nice local pub in the village and The Red Lion gastro pub in the neighbouring village. Highly recommended.

Kim & Frances live in the Vale of Pewsey in Wiltshire. The ancient monuments of Stonehenge and Avebury are close by as well as the Kennet and Avon Canal. Also the lovely market towns of Marlborough and Devizes. We are in the heart of "Crop Circle" country. Kim has been a pilot all his life, starting in the Royal Navy and finishing as a B747 Captain. Frances has been a Midwife and now works for Citizens Advice.
Our House is one of the oldest in the village of Easton Royal and is believed to date back to the 14th Century. It has been extensively refurbished and modernised to provide a comfortable and welcoming home - but retaining the unique medieval characteristics.
The village is in an "Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty" with an excellent local pub 2 miles away.
  • Kim and Frances are very welcoming and friendly. We spent a lovely time in their beautiful and quiet cottage. Very good place to explore the area from, walking and by car. Recommendable!

  • I would definitely recommend the Chandlers to anyone visiting the local area. We cycled from Reading and it was the perfect stop-off place. Thank you Kim and Frances for your perfect hospitality! Beautiful house and room.

  • What wonderful hosts. 5* plus experience. Accommodation was great and I will definitely book to stay here again. Thankyou Kim &Frances.

  • Would recommend! The room is very large and almost entirely self-contained, also with its own bathroom (note there is a bath with a showerhead for rinsing - not suitable for a stand-up shower). Top quality toiletries provided. All very clean and tidy. A light breakfast and a selection of teas/coffee is provided for the morning. Very friendly hosts too.

  • Kim and Francis made me welcome from when I arrived. it was very relaxed and a lovely setting. the room was big and immaculately set out. The bed was very comfortable. Everything was there that I needed. They also helped me with a local taxi firm. I can thoroughly recommend Kim and Francis' place to stay.

  • We arrived on the hottest day on our bikes and were instantly welcomed with iced water and a cup of tea. Kim and Frances were the perfect hosts, we loved chatting with them. The house is full of character, we found all the old beams fascinating. Our room was more like a guest suite. It was very very spacious, very stylish and spotlessly clean. Tea/coffee/ biscuits were provided, and toast and jam for breakfast. Definitely recommended, we would love to return.

  • Sarah is a hospitable host, and response to any queries promptly. Location is extremely convenient to attractions like stonehedge, etc.

  • Thanks Sarah for the bedroom very quiet and clean. I can't remember if the coffee and tea set was include in the bedroom.... But arrived around 8.30 pm, it's enough late (I think) for Sarah..... Even if she didn't sleep early. From Germain LAMY, a French man

Bright, airy timber-beamed room with adjacent private bathroom at this award-winning barn conversion, set in three acres of wildflower meadows, trees and woodland. South Park Farm Barn is the family home of hosts, Casie and Ian. Price includes full breakfast. This is one of 2 suites available in the Barn. Guest review scores are 9.8/10 or at least 4.95/5 on all the major online travel sites. For availability of the other suite check out: https://www.airbnb.co.uk/rooms/23299734
The Downland is a spacious double bedroom with its own private bathroom adjacent to it, and a separate sitting area. A large TV screen with access to an extensive Sky TV package viewed from comfortable chairs add that essential entertainment touch. Downland offers views out onto the woodland and over the surrounding rolling farmland. A derelict ruin as recently as 2016, Ian and Casie have lovingly converted the Barn into a modern, hi-tech and well-appointed dwelling. In the process we have restored the timber frame, giving it pride of place and making the frame visible, in your room and throughout the building. This is both a building of character and a home for guests to enjoy for a weekend or longer. Guests love the peace and tranquility of the Barn.
  • Really enjoyed our stay, such a beautiful barn and location. Room was lovely, breakfast delicious and fabulous hosts.

    Alice2019-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place, very clean. Beds are amazing! Ian and Casie were extremely accomodating to us in many ways including rectifying an error on my part when booking the room. Would stay again not only for the impressive quality of the barn, but for the fact Ian and Casie went above and beyond to help us. Cheers!

    Liam2019-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • Ian & Casie’s home is absolutely wonderful. You won’t go wrong with their home. From the very comfortable bed to the large bathroom, great breakfast with “real” coffee. Ian is a master with local knowledge and can recommend you the best places to go. I hope to stay here again in the future.

    Bradley2019-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • It was a pleasure to stay at Ian and Casie's beautiful converted barn! the space is stunning with lots of lovely thoughtful touches eg bath robe. I slept very well in the peaceful location. I only stayed for one night for a work visit but this would be perfect place to stay for a weekend to explore the area and the ancient landscape.

  • Lovely home in a great location. Will certainly stay again

    Christopher2018-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • Had a very brief stay at Ian & Casie's lovely barn, as had been attending a local 2 day event, so arrived at bedtime & left after an early breakfast. Had a very warm welcome, to their beautifully appointed barn conversion. Both bedroom & bathroom (not en-suite, but for private use across the corridor) very comfortable and clean. My only moan is that both myself and my fellow traveller had both asked for 'Scrambled Eggs' for breakfast, the night before when asked for out breakfast requests. However in the morning Casie told us we were having 'Poached eggs', not sure why we couldn't have Scrambled Eggs??

    Stella2018-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • Ian & Casie are very friendly and hospitable! Furthermore, their "barn" is very nice and extremely clean! It is an ideal base for a visit to Stonehenge!

    Tom2018-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • Incredibly friendly hosts who provided so much help and in depth knowledge of the surrounding areas. The barn and its wild meadow are also fabulous, as was the perfect breakfast.

A charming, weatherboard-clad studio providing bed and breakfast for maximum two people. The accommodation has a double bed, sitting area, breakfast table area, en suite shower room and a small outside decking area with a pretty bench seat.
The studio is situated in the garden of the owners' private thatched house. It is accessed via a small lane off the main road. There is parking available on the owner's drive for one car/motorbikes and bicycles can be stored overnight under an outside lean-to. Access to the studio is from the drive via a garden gate.
The accommodation is set in the heart of the beautiful Pewsey Vale with its famous chalk horses, the Wiltshire Ridgeway, Salisbury Plain and the historic Kennet & Avon Canal. We are less than a minute's walk from the White Horse Trail and the Vale is a popular area for walkers, cyclists and motorcyclists. Pewsey village is five minutes drive away and the pretty towns of Marlborough and Devizes are within twenty minutes. Stonehenge, Avebury and the ancient city of Salisbury are also a short drive away. There is a pub within half a mile and a good selection of other pubs and cafes locally. The well-respected Seven Stars Inn at Bottlesford is close by. Casterley Barn in Rushall, a popular location for weddings, parties, corporate events and well-being, is five minutes away.
  • Lovely overnight stay and was warm and cosy despite the cold night. Really comfortable and spacious. Enjoyed our breakfast. Thank you Milly for making us so welcome.

  • Fantastic spot in the English countryside and would recommend to anyone. Really easy to check in and out and both Tim and Milly were hugely accommodating throughout our stay. Five stars all round!

    Dan2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed for a weekend and loved the place. Milly and Tom went out of their way to be helpful. Breakfast was great - and the annexe is a lovely, large, private space where you can relax

    Tim2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Tim and Milly were very friendly and welcoming hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in lovely annex studio. Tim and Milly both gave us some great tips about pubs to visit and things to do in the local area which we appreciated and found useful. We also really enjoyed seeing their lovely spaniel Monty who was very excitable and friendly. We would love to visit again at some point in the future, and would strongly recommend anyone else to do so!

    Tim2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Milly's studio was wonderful and she and her husband were so accommodating and helpful! The studio is just the right size in a beautiful location, and we really appreciated the breakfast Milly put out for us. Our dog had the best time playing with their sweet spaniel, as well :) if we're ever in the area, we'll be sure to come back!

    Jordan2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Friendly and helpful hosts. Lovely countryside location and a comfortable, nicely presented annex.

    Robert2019-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Our hosts were exceptionally helpful, welcoming, thoughtful and kind. The Studio is a peaceful, cosy, comfortable space and well worth the money. It looks out onto a beautiful garden which was most welcome in the morning. There are lots of lovely, interesting items in the room to look at which add charm and uniqueness to the space. The bed is super comfy and the room was very clean. Breakfast was lovely and filling and set us up for the morning. Really pleasant stay and we would definitely stay here again.

    Dominic2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Milly and Tim was just perfect. The studio is very comfortable, cozy and large. The breakfast was really good and enough. Milly and Tim were so kind as to let us sit and enjoy our breakfast in the garden. We had a really lovely time and Milly and Tim made sure we had everything we need to have a perfect stay. I highly recommend staying here!
