This was a great stay for my lady and I on our anniversary. The mood was chill and the land was soothing and relaxing. We took full ads vantage of the hot tub and pool. I’m not much of a pool guy, but seeing the swimming area was enough to make me want to jump in. We visited the nearby conservation area for more outdoor hiking, but even walking the land around the boxcar was enough to get a dose of fresh air. We are seriously considering coming during the warmer months to take full advantage of what this booking has to offer.

Great place to get out of the city and get back to nature and relax. Great for two. A little cozy for four in the winter, but still great if you’re close friends or family. Loved our stay.

Great place, more then i expected

Wow! Beautiful spot. It was stunning in winter, so I can only imagine the beauty of the summer in this location. Thoughtful touches throughout the boxcar, including fresh flowers. The pool and jacuzzi is where we liked to spend our time. I met Lucy and her husband and they were so lovely! Great communicators. Recommend this beautiful, relaxing spot to anyone looking to get away and recharge!

Exactly what we were looking for! Perfect place to get away and unwind. Really enjoyed the trails on the property, great for doing xcountry ski laps. The views onto Nottawasaga river are beautiful, especially with the gazebo overlooking the ravine. The hot tub is a great place to enjoy the sunsets. The boxcar itself is unique, well furnished and cozy. If you want a unique place to relax, this airbnb stay is a top contender.

Wonderful winter retreat!

Our second stay at Foxglove Farm was even more lovely than our first. The farmhouse is beautifully equipped with comfortable beds, two incredibly inviting and relaxing living rooms and a genuinely amazing kitchen that makes cooking with family a friends a real joy. For anyone looking for a short (or long) rural retreat from Toronto, I simply cannot recommend Foxglove Farm highly enough. Thanks Malcolm for a great visit!

Foxglove Farm was the perfect place for a weekend away with close friends. A fully stocked kitchen, hot tub, beautiful property and thoughtful amenities made our stay wonderful. Can’t recommend this place enough.

The house and and property is beautiful. Loved the decor, hot tub and the cozy wood fireplace. We came to this spot for a winter girls weekend and had such a relaxing and fun time we decided before we left that this was now going to be an annual trip. Cannot recommend this place enough.

We had a wonderful girls weekend at Foxglove. The house had all the rustic beauty we wanted for a relaxed weekend away from the city, but all the sophistication to celebrate in style. The county-chic decor and beautiful fireplace felt so cozy, we wished we could stay longer. We had everything we needed, and even though it was a full house, there was lots of space to spread out or all hang out together. Clean, beautiful design details, a great book selection, and a fabulous location.

Our stay at Foxglove Farm was simply perfect. Cozy in a big snowy weekend. Quaint touches everywhere. A roaring fire and quality family time in the family room. The girls spent some fun time in the hottub. Malcolm has thought of everything to make your stay delightful.

Malcolm’s place is a delight. A true haven, beautifully decorated and away from it all. Just what we were looking for. Malcolm was very helpful and great to communicate with.

Let me start with what a pleasure it was to deal with the host, Malcom. Very kind and an accommodating person. The farm is just amazing and the details in the cottage is beautiful. Everything is very thoughtful and the space was unbelievably clean. He recommended great places to dine in around the area however, the space was so nice that we didn’t want to leave. The books all around the house and the candles made the space very cozy. There are board games and movies to enjoy as well. If you are looking for a great getaway, with a great host, this is the place to book. Thank you Malcom and hope to experience this place in summer as well!

Great contemporary country space on picturesque farm with plenty of space indoors to roam for humans and plenty of outdoors to roam for furry friends.

Our second stay at Catherine's suite was lovely thanks to the hospitality, cleanliness and privacy we've come to expect when booking this gem. Looking forward to our next visit!

Catherine’s place was sparkling clean and overall great!

A very clean and comfortable place. My daughter had a competition at Nottawasaga Resort very early in the morning so we chose to spend a night nearby. We didn’t need to cook, but if you choose to, you will probably need to bring you own spice and condiment. The sofa bed is too soft, but the bed in the room is very comfy!!!!

The space is amazing and Catherine is a thoughtful host and very easy to communicate with.

Catharine's place was spotless, comfortable, and had quality appliances/furnishings that were easy to use. Her kitchen is stocked with pots and pans along with basics like salt, pepper and olive oil. It was easy for me to bring home food and cook, and the bed was quit comfortable. Thanks Catharine.

It was my first trip using AirBnB and I have to say it was without a doubt the most delightful experience. From the minute I received the confirmation from Keith & Jayne I was impressed by the quick response to my questions. Their guest house is super chic and immaculate and contemporary. You will definitely be impressed like I was. I love that their property was surrounded by lush trees and ample nature. The deck is a great feature which I enjoyed ❤️ with the coffee they provided complimentary. The attention to detail and extra amenities in the bathroom, kitchenette just spot on what you need they got it and if they don’t and you forgot to bring something...Jayne is always delighted to assist with a smile. Just love it 😍 beyond 5 star rating... I would definitely stay there again without a doubt.

Great location, free parking, and lots available in the apartment. There was a coffee maker, filters, and tea + kettle. It was super warm, but also noticed a small space heater in the closet if you needed it. Was exactly what I needed.

Pictures do not do the home justice. Very clean, tidy location with a kind, flexible owner. We were looking for a quiet weekend getaway near Toronto and this was perfect for us.

Trish and Gary are amazing hosts and the space is very well equipped with everything I needed. It’s bright, very spacious and with a view of the farm and horses. Checkin was very easy and communication was never an issue. Definitely recommend this stay :)

Trish and Gary were amazing. The home was clean , stylish and comfortable. We arrived with 4 dogs so the doggie door was a big plus. The property is beautiful and is a perfect retreat for city folk. Ours was not a vacation stay but plan to go back again when we can enjoy some of the many equine programs Trish runs at the farm. Thank you again Trish and Gary.

Trish and her husband are such sweet hosts, we’re so lucky that they were able to accommodate us (as booking was super last minute.) The space is very warm and welcoming, we stayed up late chatting & playing cards (there’s no tv). We genuinely had such a good time on their farm! It was exactly what we needed - a trip away from the city. I only wish we had given ourselves more time to explore the property but woke up a little later than intended (couldn’t roll out of bed because it was so comfy). We’ll definitely have to make another trip back as we didn’t have time to do the activities with staying at their retreat! Loved meeting their animals, be sure to pick up a carton of eggs before you leave! Such a refreshing stay. Can’t wait for our next visit! L & K P.S. for anyone who’s booking and looking for food, there’s a restaurant open late just down the street, we recommend their tomato soup & wings :).

Awesome hosts

Amazing hospitality. Ela and her partner went above and beyond to meet my needs. He stayed up until 1pm to wait for my check In. Ela was very welcoming in the morning. The spring bed could have been a bit more comfy, however the space was very beautiful and private.

Ela's home is spotless! I was a bit concerned about privacy but it wasn't an issue at all. They welcome you in, show you around and leave you be. It was perfect for what I needed.

Ela is a lovely host, warm and welcoming. The room was much more spacious than I expected with plenty of sunlight. Ela has many thoughtful touches in the room such as coffee/tea and instant oatmeal for you in the morning.

Would definitely recommend this place. Very clean and super nice people. Had a great experience. Very accommodating people yet gave us space and privacy. Nice added touch with some games for my 12 year old to play and gave him the Battleship game to take home

This was a lovely Airbnb in Alliston. Walking distance to the main street, supermarket, restaurants. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable. Dorothy met me when I arrived, showed me around and how everything worked. I enjoyed my 5 nights here and have no hesitation recommending it to others.

The place was absolutely stunning with the most beautiful view to wake up to. The animals were all so friendly, but the Tess was absolutely amazing! Tons of hiking to be done through the trails and surrounding areas. Would 100% stay again!

Theresa's place is situated on a beautiful stretch of land with big rolling hills. The view from the window is spectaculour. Theresa is an attentive host and her place offered all the amenities one could ask for.

Getaway farms was one of the most peaceful stays we've been to, its such a nice escape from the usual city life. Teresa was an amazing host, she was welcoming and showed us around the farm when we first got there. Her dogs are also insanely cute and ran towards us with open paws. The apartment we stayed at was fairly clean, there wasn't a smell of any sort, it was right next to the stable so we saw the horses out the window, and the view of the sunrise and sunset was amazing. There was a few bugs such as; flies and mosquitoes, so bringing a repellent would be helpful. Theres also a chance to meet, pet, and do excersises with the horses, which helps you get out of your comfort zone and feel more connected.Definitely, would come here again! It's such a pleasant experience, that is secluded from the businesses of urbanization.

WOW! What a unique stay. I stumbled across the listing by complete chance... and am I ever glad I did. The property is stunning. It was a perfect escape from the city. Theresa was a wonderful host who greeted us when we arrived, showed us around, and always made sure that we were okay throughout the stay. She added some wonderful personal touches to our stay that made the weekend just that much more special. All the animals on the property are very friendly, and make the stay that much more worthwhile. Horses, cats, dogs... they all brought us so much happiness. The dogs joined us as we lay on the grass to work on our tans and we couldn’t have asked for better company. Looking out at the horses in the distance was an absolute treat. We were also able to get up close and personal with them inside the barn. What a wonderful place...We were free to roam the property as if it were ours. Thank you Theresa! This lovely haven was a perfect destination for my girlfriends and I to come to at the end of the each day as we hiked the Bruce Trail! Well equipped, beautiful views with a glass of wine as the sun set and as it rose again with a coffee. The home was charming and well decorated and the yard was nicely manicured and the gardens blooming with flowers! We couldn't have stayed at a better place! The farmhouse exceeded our expectations- much nicer than the pictures and the best deck with stunning views we've ever been on. The trail system on the property is worth exploring and the kids loved playing on the tree swing. Thank you for the wonderful say!

It’s a beautiful place with a gorgeous view off the back deck and lots of room for kids to run around. The bedrooms were nicely insulated from the main living area — great if you have to put kids to bed early. Would love to stay again.

This place was a wonderful B & B to stay in while we hiked the Bruce Trail for the weekend. The suite was a lot larger than we expected. Aside from the bedroom, there is a kitchenette, bathroom, sitting room, and closed in sun room. The breakfast was delicious. Shirley was a very accommodating and pleasant host!

The Brookside Cottage is the quintessential cozy cabin with a beautiful view of rolling hills. It has everything you could possibly need. The cottage is located on a large property which you are free to explore at your leisure. Definitely worth taking a walk and exploring! Taria and Dietrich were amazing hosts. They made us feel very welcome and provided us with ample information about the cottage itself, the property and things to do near the cottage. Highly recommend!!

Taria was a lovely and generous host. She kept in touch during our stay with weather updates and deer sightings! She had delicious biscuits and cookies stocked from local bakeries. Brookside Cottage is a wonderful getaway that's close to Toronto and yet remote enough to feel removed. We loved the little loft area upstairs in front of the bedroom, with a mini-fireplace and a cozy rug. There's no wifi, which had escaped my notice initially. It was fine for us, but just an FYI in case you need/want it.

I am in love with this country property and everything it has to offer! So clean, peaceful, and beautiful. The hosts are friendly and welcoming. We had so much fun all warm in the cottage and playing outside in the snow. It's been the 3rd visit for our little dog family and we keep coming back for more!

We had a wonderful stay at Brookside Cottage! If I could give 10 stars I would. It was spotless, quiet, private, and Taria & Dietrich have thought of every little detail right down to dog towels and a spare back pack for hiking. The cottage and the property are both gorgeous, and very peaceful. It was so convenient being able to hike around the property with the dog, and we enjoyed the mix of field and forest walks. The welcome basket had some delicious local treats and lots of tips to enjoy local offerings - which we took full advantage of. Brookside cottage is a charming and peaceful little slice of heaven! My husband and I were attending a wedding in Alliston and booked Brookside Cottage for two nights. The beauty of this place is in the details, the lovely welcome basket full of goodies, the heated floors in the bathroom, the extra amenities and quality finishes. All of these things made our visit so comfortable we didn't want to leave! Taria and Dietrich gave us a warm welcome and invited us to explore their lovely property. Whether we were visiting their horses, sitting on the deck enjoying the sunset or cuddling in the gazebo, we felt so relaxed and at home! Brookside cottage is the perfect spot for a romantic getaway. We are so grateful to Taria and Dietrich for opening their cottage to us and we can't wait to come back!

We booked a weekend for a nearby wedding and we couldn't have had a nicer stay. The cottage was lovely, very clean and was totally comfortable for ourselves and our young son. Taria was an amazing host! She met us upon arrival and made us feel very welcome. She was also incredibly generous taking time to introduce our son to farm life. We also fell in love with her super sweet dogs. We enjoyed walks on the property and taking in the views in the gazebo. We had never been to the area before, and were really impressed. It was a great spot to spend a weekend out of the city.

We had an amazing Christmas vacation. We were so happy to see all the cute decorations and the Christmas tree, specially the kids. Very very clean and very good set up for dogs too. We will be going back for sure .

Our stay at Candace’s place was great. My husband and I have stayed at many Airbnb’s and this one was fantastic. The house was fully stocked with everything you could expect and more. The hot tub was great for relaxing on a cold winter day and the sunrise was beautiful to watch in the early morning. Best of all it was dog friendly and their were lots of great trails for hiking nearby! Would definitely stay again :)

We had a lovely stay! The farm is very quiet, we slept so soundly. Nice property with in-ground pool, and a variety of animals. Note- there are dogs and cats on site, so this place is best for animal lovers. (They are very cute and well behaved). There is no WiFi and you may not have much of a cell signal. Bring a book and plan to disconnect for a while. Very cute restaurant called Mrs Mitchell’s at the end of the road with an amazing brunch. Victoria is a lovely person, we didn’t see her much during our stay but communications were timely and thorough. Oh! There is also a lovely barn on site that would be fabulous for a wedding. :)

Violet Hill Farm is worth the ride to get away from the city life. The grounds are special. Patina wood barn, fences and farm house, horses in the meadow come to greet you at the fence, trails through the fields, flowers, wind whistling through the trees...it is sweet taste farm life. You will wish it was yours...and Victoria lets you share in it. Seriously...when do you get to make your cup of coffee, go outside and walk to the meadow to visit was two beautiful horses! If you have allergies to pets you may want to visit when you can stay mostly outdoors (there are dogs and cats in the home)...which you will want to do anyway because it is so beautiful. Really nice kitchen...easy to use and everything you need is available. Two bathrooms for guest to use. Decor has a warm, rustic charm. Earl Rowe park is nearby and gives a stunning experience of Canadian nature for only $15 entrance. We rented a canoe for another $15...pine trees, geese, blue skies. The scenery when just driving around the area is breathtaking. Victoria is quick to respond...Violet Hill is a special place cultivated with love by a special lady. We hope to return!!

Beautiful house in lovely surroundings. Lots of rooms for sleeping

A wonderful place to pause and refresh, and have a point of stay in a beautiful area in Ontario to explore. From the horses to the tractor to the trails my two year old and I enjoyed our “trip to the farm”. The house and property are picture perfect and Victoria is a most welcoming host. The beds and bath were comfortable and the house is very well equipped for you to dine in or laze on the veranda or by the pool. The animals are very friendly and there were so many amazing spots for this amateur photographer. A great start to summer!

The animals are adorable, 2 horses, 2 bunnies. 2 cats, one dog and 3 sheep! Serene, picturesque, amazing as a retreat or a family getaway from the hustle and bustle. Disconnect from screen time and connect back to nature in an amazing way. My kids are 11 and 13, at first they went through ipad withdrawals but then they started to discover the world in real time. We played every game and sport. They slept like babies!

Amazing location, stunning views, and a beautiful cabin vibe. The wood fire stove kept us nice and warm, and it was the perfect location for a potluck dinner with friends. Lots of amazing hikes and cute little towns surround the area. Very enjoyable, it felt like home :)

A beautiful cottage in a picture perfect setting in nature. An amazing weekend that lets us enjoy both a spacious interior and amazing nature trails on the properties. The host was a dream to deal with and I would Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great nature experience.

What a spectacular spot! We came with high expectations as per the pictures but it was beyond. The setting is second to none - stunning. We very much enjoyed the skating rink with a heated cabin, the trails for hiking, the hot tub and the spacious log home. It was so peaceful, so quiet - amazing. Thankyou. What a wonderful place!!! We have spend a long weekend at M. Kinneret and Tamar country home and it was amazing, the house is incredible, much better than the pictures, with all you need to spend a great and calm weekend. The home is so big that can accommodate 15 people very confortable, super clean and well decorated. The communication with the host was easy and the response was very quick and always willing to help us in anything we need. We are completely in love with this place and we would love to come back during the summer with our families. Thank you very much for everything, this weekend will definitely stay in our head for long time!!! 😍

This place was an absolute Gem! We were looking to get outside of the city and unwind in the tranquility if the wilderness. Given the weather and the fact I have 2 preschoolers, we decided the best way to get in touch with nature and enjoy a warm family setting, was to book this stunning property. Even before out arrival I was impressed with how responsive and helpful the host (M. Kinneret). She answered all my questions and gave me great advice on how to best utilize our time at the property. The property itself is awe-inspiring. It's a huge home built out of wood and gives you a rustic cabin feel but also has the finishes of a modern city home. The property was absolutely spotless. The home is open concept and it's pretty easy to see the kids wherever you are in the kitchen. There's windows everywhere so no matter where you are in the house you get a reminder that you're in the Forrest. We spent most of our time outside hiking and looking for animal prints of which we found mostly deer and rabbit tracks. When we weren't outside we were in the living room staring out the window and playing family board games (with occasional TV). I can't wait to come and stay here again in the summer!

What an amazing stay! We stayed here with parents visiting from Europe and they were floored with how beautiful the place is. The large windows makes for some gorgeous scenic views. It snowed during our stay and it looked like a winter wonderland outside yet we were warm and cosy inside. We walked the trails and there is even a skating rink! Pool and Jacuzzi as well but closed for winter. I imagine this is a great place to stay year round. Kinneret's place had everything we needed - kitchen is fully equipped, a play room that my toddler never got bored of, rec room with a pool table and other games that adults never got bored of, spacious comfy rooms and Netflix. Kinneret is a great host who is friendly, communicative and responsive with any questions we had.  I would love to stay here again and would highly recommend! 

We were searching for a place to bring the whole extended family together for a nice weekend outside the city to watch the fall colours but had no desire to drive 3 hours to muskoka. Lucky for us we found this beautiful log house only an hour and twenty minutes away ! It was perfect, big open great room, large comfortable bedrooms plus another living room in the walk out basement was more than enough for us. The finishes and appliances were high end and the place is in amazing condition. Big bonus : lots of toys for the little ones and ofcourse bunk beds. Hosts were responsive and friendly. Highly recommend.

This place is a magical log home nestled in a forest, and backing onto a pond. The pictures do not do it justice. It is a beautiful high end home which we all thoroughly enjoyed. There was lots of common space where we chatted, played games and watched netflix. The house had everything we needed and the hosts were super responsive. There were toys for our small kids as well. The property is huge and there are walking trails throughout, you can spend hours hiking here. The leaves were changing and the weather was perfect so everyone had a great time. We would love to come back. Overall, a really special space!

Rashad and Lizzie, were quick to reply to any questions, prior to and while we were at their home. The place is actually under stated in the photos. From the moment you roll up to the driveway, you are taken into a quiet area off the beaten path. The property, is huge. The home even looks small from the front, but once you get inside, you see the true size. Open concept kitchen/eating area, with all of the necessary tools, and appliances, a home away from home needs to have. Upper level has a beautiful master suite, with an ensuite. The ensuite has a tub with jets, and plenty of space. There is also a full guest washroom right next to the entrance of the master, with a shower. 2 other bedrooms on the upper level right next to eachother, 1 with a double bed, 1 with a single. There is a large common/family room off of the kitchen, with a fireplace, tv, desk, and plenty of seating to relax. Right off of that room, is the sunroom, which is also large. Going downstairs, you have almost as much room, as you do upstairs. There is a full common area/family room, with couches, and a bar/wet bar as well. There is a walk out sliding door to exit the lower level right to the outside of the home. On one side of that room, is a bedroom with a bunk bed, as well as a single bed (3 beds), across to the other side of the basement, is another huge bedroom, with a lot of floor room to even out an air mattress if you needed. The kitchen upstairs has a sliding door, which opens up to the deck area with seating and a table. There are stairs to leave the deck, and go right into the back area. The views are unreal, and you can see forever in the distance. The back area is dreamy: views, tons of room to play outdoor games, lots of trees, one of which has a swing attached, areas for a nice walk, and a bench under the tree. The pond is massive, good for a dip, also adds to the beautiful scenery. Overall, this is the first place I have ever visited, where the pictures dont fool you. This home, exceeded our expectations, to a point where we cannot wait to return to make more memories. Rashad and Lizzie respond promptly, and will do whatever it takes to ensure you are comfortable. Stay here, you will not regret it. In fact, in sure you will want to go back again and again. Thank you again Rashad and Lizzie!

We love this place! The views are amazing, and the home is spacious, very clean and well equipped. We are a family of 7 and this was our second summer staying at this property, and we will be back! We love swimming in the pond and exploring the property and the enclosed porch is amazing! Also, we really appreciate the self check in and privacy. This place is a true gem.

It was over our expectations! Beautiful place, spotless, peaceful and intimate. I was there with my parents and my little family and the house is well divided so everyone has their own space. If ever we are I the area again, we will surely go back! We had a wonderful time. Thank you to Lizzie and Rushad for sharing your house!

The house is very spacious and very clean. The views on the property are incredible. Everything is accurately described and mulmur hills is just a beautiful location for a country getaway.

Misty Willow Pond is a lovely house in a huge property. The house is amazingly well equipped including toys games and books for all. The rooms are as described and all are large and well furnished and the kitchen/diner and deck is great. The "pond" is a small lake, excellent for swimming with a very good dock/ladder and the garden is well kept. The key was found as described and there are clear instructions for everything, communication was quick and efficient. Highly recommended

Everything we needed was provided in terms of linens, soap, shampoo, condiments and utensils in the kitchen. Your speedy responses to any questions and your welcoming manner will definitely have us wanting to return for a third time!

The house was sparkling clean and bright. Sadly, I was staying for work reasons but I look forward to having an actual vacation in this house. The home, views and outdoor spaces are a real retreat from city life.
