“The oldest restaurant in the world, established in 1725, the Botin has lost none of its charm over the years. Try a dish from the huge variety of roasted meats, prepared in a traditional oak-burning oven.”

“"EL VIAJERO" restaurant and bar is situated over three stories in a classic nineteenth Century building, where the cozy and small rooftop garden on top is the prime spot to visit. It is the only rooftop bar in Madrid on this list, located in the Latina area of he city. "EL VIAJERO" (which btw means 'the Traveler') holds a full on restaurant on the ground floor, a second floor bar and on the third floor you get the best of both worlds. The kitchen on the terrace serves a nice selection of tapas and nibbles, along with crunchy pizzas with an Italian touch. The rooftop bar offers a wide selection of cocktails, where (of course) the mojito is a given favorite. Expect cool views over old town Madrid, a magical sunset accompanied with a vibrant and relaxed atmosphere. No reservations possible for the rooftop terrace, so be on time to be guaranteed a good spot.”

“Love live Jazz? Café Central is the a place to go. In February 1991 WIRE magazine made a list of the best European jazz clubs and Café Central was in eighth place. Since 2002 the prestigious American jazz magazine Down Beat, published a list with the 100 places to listen to jazz in the world: it includes Café Central. In 2005 the Academy of Music awarded the Prize for the Diffusion of Music to the Central Café of Madrid. In 2016, the British newspaper The Guardian included Café Central in its list of 10 best jazz clubs in Europe. Drop by or better yet, make reservations as it fills up. It has served as a cultural platform for various activities, such as literary gatherings, meetings of photographers, illustrators and, above all, records have been recorded. ”

“If you are looking for a not very big lunch, this comfortable place has a menu of one dish, drink and coffee for 7,5€, each day a different unique dish but really tasty and well-cooked. If you want to taste the dessert, the cheese flan is great. They have tapas too, apart from the lunch menu. Very lively by evening to have a drink too. ”
