Park
“Enter this preserve through a tunnel of majestic live oaks, sign-in, and take a peaceful walk across the marsh to a quiet stretch of beach covered in giant fallen driftwood trees, and so so so many whelk and other shells. Birdwatching tours the first Thursday of every month! Go within 2-3 hours of low tide to get the full effect, and definitely do the 6 mile driving tour on your way out for a chance to spot more egrets, herons, and maybe even an alligator! Entry is free. Open daylight hours. Closed Tuesdays.”
