Our attractively renovated farmhouse is located on a rural road just outside Dwingeloo. The front house has its own entrance, a large front garden, covered terrace + a bicycle shed with lock. On the ground floor you will find a well-equipped kitchen, a living room with games/books, TV DVD+ Netflix, a bedroom with private bathroom. The spacious beautiful 2nd bedroom is on the 1st floor. This has a double bed, two good sofa beds that are also used as a seating area, a TV and a bathroom.

Cottage on the Hei

Huisje op de Hei is located behind our farm on more than a hectare of land, in a protected nature reserve just outside Dwingeloo in Drenthe. A special place, because you literally walk up the heath from our yard. No traffic, no neighbors, no crowds. The adventure begins on arrival, because to reach our cottage you have to drive a little kilometer along a sandy road. This road is not accessible to traffic. It's not much quieter in the Netherlands!

Very much like 'coming home'

Welcome! Bed &Breakfast 'Mekelermeer' is a nice stay for 2 persons included breakfast. ckeck in is after 14.00 h. check out is round 12.00 h. 2 nights is the minimum stay. The interior is very cosy. You have a marvellous vue over garden and fields. There is hardly any traffic. Only some farmer business. A perfect place to 'slow down' .
