Beer Bar
$$
“Located above Birch and Barley restaurant on 14th Street near Logan Circle, ChurchKey, which opened in 2009, is a clubhouse for D.C.'s beer aficionados. Washingtonians flock to ChurchKey's long bar to work their way through its 555 labels, all selected by beer director Greg Engert. The menu here is equipped with 50 taps and special climate controls to ensure your beer is the perfect temperature. The massive list of drafts menu is divided into categories like "Crisp," "Roast," "Hop," "Smoke," or "Tart and Funky." The menu of bottled beers is so long that it's basically a book. No matter where you fall on the spectrum of beer fandom, head here to see what beer church looks like for the truly devotional.”

Indian Restaurant

“Katie and Kyle (Airbnb Guests), suggested this restaurant. They said it was fabulous! About the Restaurant: The name “Rasika” is derived from Sanskrit language meaning “flavors”. Rasika West End, which opened in March 2012, is the new sister restaurant to Rasika, the award-winning modern Indian restaurant owned by Ashok Bajaj. Bajaj was recently named by both Washingtonian and Washington City Paper as “Restaurateur of the Year” and nationally, he is a three-time James Beard Foundation nominee for “Restaurateur of the Year”. This exciting newcomer’s decor is created by James Beard Foundation’s award- winning restaurant designer Martin Vahtra of Projects Design Associates of New York. Rasika West End showcases both modern and authentic Indian fare, prepared on the Tawa (griddle), Sigri (open barbeque), as well as Tandoori and regional dishes. The restaurant also has an international wine list designed to pair well with Indian fare. This sophisticated new hot spot is also known for its innovative cocktails, ideal for savoring with small plates in the restaurant’s spacious lounge. A contemporary décor sporting jewel tones, striking Indian art, and the combination of dark and light woods sets off this dynamic space. The major focal point is the eye-catching ceiling, created to resemble a banyan tree a nod to its important role in Indian culture.”
