Soli was an absolutely fantastic host and her place is beautiful! My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at the Peaceful Hudson Traveler's Retreat for a wedding in the area. Soli welcomed us with a bright smile even though we arrived at a rather late hour on a Friday night. She was kind enough to provide us with filtered water as well as Pellegrino, and she even offered to brew us a fresh cup of coffee the next morning (we're not coffee drinkers so we weren't able to take her up on the offer). Even though she had a number of business and social commitments the weekend of our stay, Soli went out of her way to ensure we had a comfortable stay. We actually struck up a wonderful conversation that Saturday morning and I appreciated the fact that she got to know us on a more personal level. My wife and I felt very much at home during our short time at the Peaceful Hudson Traveler's Retreat, as the house is quite clean and inviting. Soli lives in a nice, safe neighborhood that's somewhat off the beaten path but still very accessible, so it helps guests better appreciate the surrounding area. I highly recommend a stay at the Peaceful Hudson Traveler's Retreat!

Soli's house was wonderful, tucked away with plenty of privacy but a short drive to everything you need. She was a gracious host and made us feel welcome even when she wasn't there. Easily reached by cell phone, she made our short stay very enjoyable and I would highly recommend her to anyone staying in the area.

Lovely woodsy world surrounds this artist's nice home. Photos are accurate. Convenient to all activities. My host Soli is a gem: thoughtful, considerate and a paragon of hospitality. Her home reflects values of harmony and compassion. This is my first time with Airbnb, a great starter. So when events obliged me to extend my stay, I count myself lucky to have a host as gracious as Soli.

Soli's place was incredible! The bedroom was cozy and comfortable. The bathroom was clean. The highlight however, is the lush green back yard that my friend and I took full-advantage of. It's the perfect spot for a romantic getaway. Soli was very accommodating and gave us full access to everything in her home. I would stay again in a heartbeat. Highly recommended.

Soli was a wonderful host and provided a great balance of the basics on where the essential things were and also space and privacy I wanted during my stay. Her home and the location were gorgeous and great for an artistic or nature loving traveler. I'd certainly recommend her home to others seeking the same.

Soli was a model hostess. She knows perfectly what is takes to be a hostess and genuinely welcome someone and incorporate them into the beauty and peace that is this home. She knows the who how why where and when of hospitality - got it down. She is a skilled artist and educated designer, and she has applied all this to every part and corner and piece of the house, and the home is kept in the highest order, with light, beauty and peace. If every host & home was like this, airbnb would have a higher stock valuation than Apple. For a longer or shorter break, whether from the City or elsewhere, you cannot go wrong, you will be fortunate to guests in this home. Check out my other reviews thus far - they do not get this high praise.

Soli is the perfect host: warm, pleasant and above all considerate of my privacy. She treated me like family, inviting me to relax in the patio that is set in a most beautifully landscaped garden nestled in idyllic green forest. Trees everywhere. I had full access to her large kitchen and (large!) washer-dryer. Her home bespeaks the artist that she is. It is so spacious that I always had a sense of total privacy. If you're seeking peace and quiet, this is the perfect private country get- away that is also convenient to shopping and train station in case you want to visit New York City. This area of Westchester is essentially the American Dream set in temperate forest "wilderness". In autumn, the leaves turn fabulously colored. I definitely recommend this authentic country home and Soli's hospitality. Rejuvenating.

This is simply a great place to stay. Very cool newly-renovated space that strikes a great balance between modern convenience--nice bed, shower, appliances, etc--and quirky/rustic/charming (e.g., fully functional wood-burning stove). It shares the property with the house, but very much feels like your own space, with nice views of the surrounding woods. Good place if you want a secluded getaway but also want to stay less than 30 minutes from several mountains for hiking, very cool art (storm king/dia beacon), and lots of great restaurants. Highly recommended!

Mia communicated quickly with us and was very accommodating with our early arrival. The linens and towels were very clean, the beds were comfortable and the the location was perfect for the activities we had in Croton on the Hudson.

Mai is a gracious host. She offered to pick us up at the train, which we took her up on because it was pouring rain. The room and bathroom were very clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Not expected, but appreciated, was the Pike place coffee (which i love) and a wide selection of tea (which my boyfriend loves). There was also a nice TV with Netflix, HBO and i think some other Roku apps. I would definitely recommend to anyone in the Peekskill area!

Mai's hospitality was fantastic. The room felt more like a suite and was better than some hotels I've stayed in recently - and I travel for work pretty often. Everything I could've thought of was there already and Jesse offered some suggestions in the area. I would definitely recommend this place if you're in the area!

Great little place in Peekskill with a private entrance and helpful host. Located in a quiet residential neighborhood in walking distance from downtown Peekskill. We stayed her before heading over to Bear Mountain for the weekend, which is only about a 10-15 minute drive away. Would definitely stay again!

Our host Nancy was very nice. The neighborhood was friendly, and the house itself has been well taken care of. We immediately felt welcome as soon as we walked in. There was a detailed set of instructions left for us. Everything was just what I asked for.

Nancy's place is so unique and cozy! It's a great place to stay if you want to get away from the city and relax.

Nancy's house is a very nice place to spend a long weekend near West Point. It is exactly what we expected and dealing with Nancy is a pleasure... she is very helpful with getting you situated for your stay. There Is plenty of space to relax downstairs and the kitchen has pretty much everything you could need. The beds are extremely comfortable, the best we've ever slept in, including ours at home! The neighborhood is quiet and friendly, with a beautiful park just down the block... perfect for hiking with our dogs. There are grocery stores and plenty of restaurants nearby. We would definitely book Nancy's house again!

it was a pleasant experience. the house is clean and there are a few interesting books. it would be great if the location is closer to the main st. where there's food and coffee. we are both from the city and are spoiled by getting coffee every morning down the block. we end up taking taxis to main st a lot bc the walk on washington st isn't very exciting. but it's next to the park in a quiet neighborhood - i guess you can't have them all.

Kathleen was very welcoming and nice. It was the perfect stay before a day of hiking.

We were warmly greeted by Kathleens daughter, shown around the house, introduced to the cutest cats and told us about a local wine shop nearby upon arrival. The house is in my opinion even more cozy and welcoming than shown in pictures. In the morning, we were offered coffee to get the day going which was so appreciated. Upon departure, Kathleen asked us if we needed help getting things to the car and wished us a safe trip back.

Radhika's home made our trip lovely and comfortable. The room and amenities were just as described: fully furnished and beautifully decorated! The location is also close enough to both the Blue Mountain Reservation and the town of Peekskill, so we were able to get our fill of nature and sights. Thank you for having us Radhika!

A beautiful location a few minutes drive from Peekskill. The balcony area overlooking the garden & the valley was quite beautiful and the house made a lovely escape from the city. The bedroom was very comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay. Roberto & Radhika's design skills make the house fell very fresh & homey. Radhika was also very kind & helpful at check-in even though they were on their way out for a family dinner

Radhika was very welcoming when I arrived and suggested places I could go for dinner in Peeksville which is about 5 minutes drive away. My room was quiet and private with a comfortable queen sized bed. In the morning she offered a cup of coffee and shared info about places to see in the area. Very nice family!

Cute, sparkling clean little getaway spot walking distance to a picturesque little downtown with everything you want/need/deserve! A million options for food and sights ranging from within 5 minute walk to 10 minute drive. Infinite options within an hour drive. Definitely recommend!!

Amber was a fantastic host. This was my first Airbnb experience and she couldn't have made it any easier. She was in constant contact with me and provided a list of her favorite restaurants and things to do around the area- and she even had banana muffins waiting for us! The space was very clean and comfortable and close to some great trails. Thank you again Amber, I can definitely see myself coming back! :)

We stayed at Amber and Daniel's for the weekend, and it was just perfect! A cute and cozy place, easy to walk to town, in a quiet, natural setting. The hosts were very thoughtful. They left us a locally made treat, and thought through our experience leaving us all the amenities we might need. We had lots of privacy. They were very friendly and responsive throughout. Paul was a fantastic host! The house was clean, easy to access, and Paul provided us with all of the info we needed for our stay. It's a beautiful cabin in the woods and is located in small town that my girlfriend and I loved. I actually surprised my girlfriend and proposed to her during my stay (she said yes!). It was the perfect place for such an occasion, and Paul was very accommodating leading up to the weekend.

My friends and I went here for a one night winter wonderland getaway. The apartment was beautiful and clean and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook a few meals! Paul was very helpful with all of our questions and even offered to extend the check out for us. We would love to come back again in the spring to do some more hiking. Great place and a great escape from NYC.

A lovely place and a great stay!

We really enjoyed staying in Paul's cottage. It was very comfortable, in a lovely leafy setting. Loved sitting out on the deck surrounded by the fall leaves. We were only a couple of minutes drive to the village which was great. Definitely recommend staying at this lovely little place. Paul was a very gracious host, and we noticed a great photographer with a sense of humor.

We had a wonderful 24 hour stay for a mini getaway from NYC. The cottage was more than you could ask for - beautiful kitchen, living room, bedrooms. It was just perfect. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could need (unfortunately we didn't have time to cook), the bed and sheets were extremely comfy, and Paul left out a bowl and water dish for our dog. Our dog was in heaven to be out in the woods. We would love to come back again when the weather is nicer. Thank you Paul! He was very accommodating and even offered to send us the gloves that we left behind.

Paul's cottage was the perfect getaway from the city. My husband and I especially enjoyed using the spacious kitchen which was well stocked with everything we needed. The house is fairly secluded at the end of the street. Inside was very clean and updated where necessary with some of the charming character maintained. We highly recommend this place.

Suely was a gracious host that andI reallt appreciate the last minute late night request. I thought I might sleeping in my car.

I cannot comment on the actual room because I never got to see it. I arrived at 6:15pm (I had previously indicated that I would be there between 6-7pm). No one was home. I called the owner and she said that I had never told her when I was arriving (I have screen shots of our correspondence that shows this not to be true). She said that she could be there by 9pm. I agreed and went out to dinner, At 8:08pm she messaged me to say that she wouldn’t be there until 10. I told her that I wanted to simply cancel and she agreed, I ended up sleeping in my car.

A understanding & kind owner, Suely accommodated my very late night arrival & very early morning departure. Her home rests in a contemporary suburban tract in Peekskill with, relatively speaking, nearby restaurants, stores, etc. I drove a rental car so I cannot speak to the availability of mass transit. I am periodically in the area & based on my stay I would definitely book another reservation.

The neighborhood was safe and attractive. Parking was on the street. My host was not unfriendly but neither was she very welcoming. She spoke only a few words. The listing was pretty accurate except the bed was a little short (I am just over 6 feet) and had a hard spot in the middle. Overall I had a satisfactory experience.

Suely made me very welcome and was very accommodating. The room was clean and well maintained, There was cable TV with tons of channels. I would defiantly stay there again, I felt totally at home. You can't go wrong with Suely.
