  • Everything was fab, the location, views, host& the accommodation. Beds were nice & comfy. Everywhere was lovely & clean. Kitchen very well equipped. The hand wash & cream in the bathrooms were lovely! We didn’t use the garden & hot tub, the fact this is shared with the owners would put me off visiting in the summer a little. The Golden Mile pub was a lovely 1 mile walk away & the food was lovely in there & the locals in there were nice & friendly. Taking the public footpath route we saw Ewenny Priory which is worth a visit. The history of it was fascinating.

  • Lucy's place was great! So much better than the pictures. The hot tub was the highlight, it was massive! Very clean and homely, and the walk in shower was amazing.

    Lionel2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • We were attending a wedding in Coychurch so the location was fantastic, with great views. The house is wonderfully spacious and clean, and we loved the underfloor heating downstairs! Lucy was incredibly accommodating and always quick to respond. We were just gutted we’d left our swimming gear at home so we didn’t get to enjoy the hot tub. Would absolutely stay again!

We hope to come back, this place is a real little Gem xx

  • This gorgeous cottage is perfect for a couple. It is newly refurbished, warm & extremely stylish. It has a well-equipped kitchen and a spacious shower room with toiletries & huge fluffy towels. The double bedroom is large, but the ceiling is quite low, so mind your head if you are tall! The mattress is extremely comfortable. The cottage is in the quaint old part of town, within walking distance to all the pubs, restaurants, cafés, shops & beach. You really don’t need to use the car during your stay and it’s only a few minutes from the train station if you want to travel into Cardiff. There is even a little parking space (but lots of other parking nearby as well). Jane, the owner, lives next door and obviously puts a lot of effort into making the cottage so welcoming. It was absolutely spotless. We had such a relaxing stay, thank you Jane & Laura.

  • The space was absolutely beautiful, well thought, special pieces were chosen to give a cozy and also elegant vibe. Very clean, great for a few nights. We did not have a chance to explore much of the area as we stayed for 1 night and were very tired, but we enjoyed spending time in and watching movies.😁great facility! I really appreciated the products in the bathroom, it is very helpful if you run out. Emma was supportive as we had some last moment changes in our initial plan. Thank you very much!

  • Spotlessly clean, light, spacious and stylish annexe. Thoughtful touches from the warm and helpful hosts help to make you feel really at home.

  • Prepare yourselves for the shower.... Man oh man is that thing incredible! Which incidentally fits in perfectly with the beautiful experience you will have. The entire decor and feel of 'The Cwtch' was wonderfully relaxing. It was immaculate (even by my OCD standards!) and the bed was the right kind of comfortable (medium firmness) with lovely linens and towels. Emma was so welcoming and accommodating, she gave us great directions to escape the flooded local area when it was sadly time for us to leave, also with great recommendations for a nearby yummy breakfast. We look forward to returning soon and playing the Barry/Barri version of Monopoly!!

  • Emma is a great host! She thought of equipping the whole apartment so that you did not miss anything, towels, dishes for eating, hair dryer, iron, cd available, beautiful surf books. We had a superb stay and we will come back to surf at Llantwit major

  • Loved our stay at Emma's beautiful Annex! Very cosy and clean. During our stay we were joined by storm Dennis, but it didn't matter as we enjoyed a rainy walk at Ogmore beach nearby and came back to a lovely space, a cuppa tea and a film! It was the perfect place to be on a rainy day! :) Thanks Emma and Jay for making us feel so welcome! Would highly recommend.

All amenities on High Street are within walking distance: bars, restaurants, pubs, delis, Waitrose, Tesco, Co-Op, Leisure Centre, bus stops, library, boutiques and Hair & Beauty Salons. The house is situated in a very quiet residential area with off-road parking for 2 cars. Downstairs is a cosy lounge with a gas fire with windows facing out onto the rear garden. The kitchen has french doors opening out onto the patio at the rear. A 10 minute walk will take you down into the Town. Cowbridge boasts dozens of predominantly independent boutiques & restaurants, some spread along the High Street, others are in the arcades at Mason’s Yard and Verity’s Court – where you’ll find the Old Wool Barn art and craft workshops. Eating out in Cowbridge is always a treat. The town has a superb range of bistros, restaurants, pubs and wine bars catering for every taste including a Chip Shop, Chinese Takeaway, and Indian Restaurant. Local pubs regularly have Quiz Nights and Live Music on a Friday night. If you fancy something more lively, Cardiff City Centre is only a 20 minute drive away, or the X2 bus runs a regular service from Cowbridge into the City Centre via Cardiff Bay.
Called Y Bont-faen (the stone bridge) in Welsh, Cowbridge is an understated historic market town which is one of Wales’ most fashionable places to see. Originally a Roman settlement, it is one of very few medieval walled towns in Wales: the South Gate and portions of the walls are still standing. You’ll get a great view of Cowbridge from the 14th century St Quentins Castle. ½ mile south of the town, which is included in the Iolo Morganwg Heritage Walk (Vale Trail 9). A couple of miles away and slightly off the beaten track is Old Beaupre Castle, a ruined medieval fortified manor house.

A beautiful bathroom, with large bath tub and powerful walk in shower. Double patio doors leads into a spacious south facing rear garden which guests are welcome to use.
My home is situated in a small quiet village, where a 1 min walk will take you to a well known village pub and restaurant. There is a children's play area nearby, in addition to a recently renovated chapel. It is ideally situated for those who would like to take a gentle stroll in the country lanes and farmland, or the more energetic/rambler who would like to stretch their legs at the Brecon Beacons National Park or the picturesque Heritage Coast walks.
  • Sian’s home is amazing, beautifully decorated and very homely. Sian is a great host and her welsh cakes are awesome 😊

  • Sian offers a lovely place to stay in a beautiful village very close to Bridgend and not far from the coast. a recent renovation that is spotless and beautifully designed. Walking distance from a very nice pub that does good food.

    Mark2018-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at Sian’s house. The room and shared bath were absolutely nice and clean. She was easy going and offered to use her kitchen as well. Which was very good for us. We liked to chat with her, she had some very good suggestions about the surrounding area and the things-to-do theme. She is a real Superhost! We would come back and highly recommend her place.

    Sabine2018-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • This accommodation was excellent, helped in a big way by Sian herself. A wonderful, warm, funny person. She made us some Welsh cakes before we left. Thoughtful. Her home is great. Clean, stylish, modern. It was better than expected. There is a pub within walking distance that had excellent meals. Would highly recommend Sian and her accommodation. If I come back to Wales (which I hjope I will) I'll be looking up Sian

  • Sian’s home is beautiful and welcoming, and she’s a great host. You will feel better than at home and will regret having to go back to your house - which is more than likely uglier and less cozy than Sian’s.

Double bedroom within a clean and modern apartment. The room offers drawers and hanging space for clothes as well as a TV with DVD/freeview. The property also offers superfast broadband.
Modern, comfortable and clean home. The property has two bathrooms and as I live alone, this allows guests sole use of one. TV with built in DVD and free view situated within bedroom. Kitchen facilities are available for microwave use/small meal prep, as well as for making complimentary tea & coffee. All I ask is consideration is given to fridge space and clearing up. The bedroom is a comfortable size for 1 or 2 people but may not be suitable for 2 people sharing for longer stays. I'm open to answering any questions prior to booking.
Relatively new build estate which is quiet and in an ideal location. My apartment is in close proximity to a train line, so please bare this in mind if you are a light sleeper/need the window open throughout the night.

The room is a little cold so do ask for extra heating if you go mid winter but we had breakfast outside in the sun one bright January morning. For walkers, cyclists and dog owners it's the perfect spot and Tom who owns the pub, The Cross, is an absolute gem. Helpful and very friendly hosts. We'll be back.

  • My daughter was made to feel very welcome and had a fantastic stay and the hostess went above and beyond to assist Izzy with her stay for filming nearby. We will definitely be booking again when she is working in this area in the future. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area.

  • Sonia and Clive were fabulous hosts. Nothing too much trouble. Communication was great and it was a pleasure to stay in their lovely house which is only a few minutes walk to the train station with a regular 18 minute service into Cardiff Central.

A newly renovated cozy home in the Vale of Glamorgan countryside. On arrival, guests will be greeted with a warm beverage and homemade Welshcakes.
A traditional mid terrace dwelling. A large open plan living room with log burner, leads into a spacious kitchen and dining area. Both double bedrooms available are at the front of the house overlooking a small stream running through the village, and includes plenty of storage.
  • Sian's home is a stylish, clean and comfortable place to stay in a quiet small village. The beds are very comfortable and the facilities are great. Definitely recommended if you're looking for somewhere to stay in this area.

  • This was my first airbnb experience so wasnt sure what to expect, but any reservations I might have had disappeared immediately when I arrived and met Pauline. Pauline was a lovely host (with that beautiful Welsh 'valley girl' accent) who made me very welcome and made everything easy. I may have to travel back to this area a few times over the next year and I'll make this my go to place to stay. Perfect!

  • Pauline is a lovely host and very welcoming of guests in her house. she is happy for you to be sociable or keep yourself to yourself. the room is fine for a short stay, and the waterbed is very comfortable, but there is little room around the bed for anything but a walkway and that is my only negative comment.

Quirky guest suite situated within a beautiful converted church. Llantwit Major is a small coastal town with excellent shops, supermarkets, historic pubs, eating out and takeaways. About 25 minutes walk to local beach. Excellent transport links to Cardiff and the Airport via train or bus, via the station, just a few minutes walk through the town.
The choir area of this Victorian church has been converted to provide a lovely wood-floored living room and kitchen area, retaining the original stained-glass windows, arched doorways and pitch-pine panelling. Heating is supplied by a large cosy log-burner, on the site of the original pulpit! The bedroom has a comfy double-bed and limed-oak furniture. Bathroom has shower and generous bath. Electric heaters are also provided.
The apartment is situated on the "Beach Road", where walkers form the main traffic. This is a quiet part of the historic town of Llantwit Major, just minutes from delightful 16th century taverns and other ancient buildings. St Illtud's Church dates from 500AD, "the cradle of Celtic Christianity" and houses Celtic stones dating back to the 8th century. A 25 minute walk takes you to the Heritage coast and beach, with its stunning geology, the Welsh Coastal Path, and nature reserves. Around 2 1/2 miles west is St Donats Castle, originally built in 14th century, once owned by William Randolph Hearst, and now home to Atlantic College. We provide leaflets outlining a great range of rural walks from your doorstep, or a short bus ride away, if, like us, you enjoy car-free days out.

Cosy stay and lovely to be in a church. Well equipped kitchen. Felt very private. We enjoyed the board games!

  • We had an amazing stay, the weather wasn't that great but the log fire ready made up for it, gave such a cosy feeling. The instructions were easy to follow, with the directions getting there and getting into the place. Close walk to the pub and the beach only a short drive away! Would highly recommend, We're thinking of returning in the summer when the weather is nicer.

  • I needed somewhere quiet for a few days to get a work project completed, and Sam & Anna's place was perfect. It's a nice sized space with great views thru the velux windows over the orchard or farm land. The main road is near, so you can hear it, but that did not bother me at all. I booked very last minute and the hosts were very accommodating. Highly recommended! Thanks Sam & Anna
