Perfect getaway! Such a warm and inviting welcome by the boys and their very friendly dogs :) greeted with a bottle of wine and a roaring fire, couldn't have asked for more! We especially loved the grounds with a duck pond a few steps from our door and forest/waterfall trails just a short drive away! Craig and Adam were incredibly accommodating and reccomended some amazing places to visit, and made us feel right at home! Could not reccomend enough! You'll never find experiences like this at a hotel :) Thank you for making our first time to Tassie so memorable!

This was our 1st Air BnB experience and it was a great introduction. Craig and Adam were totally friendly, welcoming and helpful. The mud brick style log cabin was lovely, cosy and clean in a beautiful place in the country setting. The bed was very comfortable and we had everything we needed. They even loaned us their Tom Tom for a while. Thanks guys we really appreciated your hospitality!

4 glorious days spent in a lovely cabin on Craig and Adams gorgeous property. You guys are so lovely and helped make our first trip to Tassie very memorable! The accommodation was perfect, away from the city but close enough to get everywhere around Hobart. We had everything we needed, even cooking a roast on a cold winter evening and don't get us started on that amazing bed! So comfy! Mix that with the fire warming the place before we got home each night and you have two very happy bunnies! Your recommendations and hospitality were greatly appreciated. We enjoyed Zian and Sam (dogs), and Edna the duck, your animals are so friendly! Thank you so much for having us, we will be back for sure!

Adam was unwell when we arrived but Craig went out of his way to make us feel welcome, at home and to look after us. (We met Adam later) The retreat was comfortable, clean and picturesque. Easy and quick to access Hobart and other attractions from yet secluded.

We spent our final couple of days in Tasmania here, close to Hobart, New Norfolk, MONA, so many places, yet it feels pleasantly rural with beautiful rolling hills and loads of greenery. The place is cosy and has all the essentials you need for a comfortable stay. Craig and Adam are friendly, attentive but also leave you in peace. And the dogs are lovely.

Craig and Adam are perfect hosts, very friendly and helpful. Their hints and suggestions helped us a lot. The cottage is soooo cosy and the garden is a paradise. In the evening you can be sure to see wallabies. Hobart is just a few minutes away. The best b&b you can imagine!

Craig and Adam were absolutely fantastic .They were welcoming and extremely accomodating and attentive .I felt safe and secure whilst staying at Collinsvale.I could stay there on my own ,even though it is nestled amongst the foothills of MtWellington .The well built cottage we stayed at was everything we needed,beautiful views of the rolling hills ,a comfortable bed a well equiped kitchen ,Set amongst the foothills of Mt Wellington it provided us a setting that enabled us to truly get away from the city.We found that it was close enough to drive to the city of Hobart ,and only a few kilometres to Mona ,so for us distance was no issue

The bed was great, soft and big. There were breakfast in the kitchen that we could serve ourselves. They grew fruits in the garden, it was the best ones I've ever taste. They were friendly and super nice to us. It was Christmas when we live there, they gave us chocolates as presents. Everything felt just like home and we love it.

Kathy was an amazing host. We were greeted warmly and she made us feel at home instantly. The self contained unit was huge. Well equipped kitchen, cosy bedroom, big bathroom and a lovely living area complete with WIFI. Kathy provided plenty of breakfast provisions and even a coffee machine. Home away from home in Hobart. It was a quick 10 minute drive to the city centre and about 2 minutes to MONA which was our main destination.

We really enjoyed staying at Ricki's place. Nice, quite suburb of Hobart, great view of Mt Wellington, easy drive to town and close to Mona - the must see museum/vineyard/micro brewery of Hobart. Rick was great to talk to and we'll definitely stay at his place again next time.

Ricki's place was great to relax around Christmas time and enjoy some places next to Hobart. We had a really good time in this cozy and really tidy apartment. Everything you need was provided (towels, cooking equipment, displays..) and we also had a surprise under the Christmas tree :D The place is really close to Hobart and to MONA as well for those who want to go there. I would recommend Ricki's place anytime with no doubt at all.

A very comfortable unit, in a quiet area. Rick was very helpful and knowlegeable about the area. This accomodation is about 15 minutes easy drive from CBD. We would definitely stay here again!

Ricki and Alison were super friendly, helpful and generous. We enjoyed our stay very much. The location was perfect: it was just a hop, skip, and a jump to the Boks Bacon outlet (the best bacon! Reason enough to come to Tassie), delicious scallop pies, seafood outlet, supermaket. Up the hill and to the left, the streets end in a reserve where it is very easy to see wallabies in the evening. We hope to return soon!

Robyn is a nuanced landlord, all our problems have been timely reply. Her house is large enough, clean and well equipped (cooking and washing very convenient), is also equipped with shampoo and shower gel, we are a family of three lived here for five days, very happy. The only drawback is relatively close distance of Highway 1, although a little bit noisy but convenient travel. Robyn is a meticulous host, and all of our questions are answered in time. Nice, welcoming hosts. Location close to public transport. Basic furnishings but everything was exactly as described. I don't smoke, but the covered smoking deck would be a nice bonus for those who do. There was a "mini" amenities bar, including peanut butter which was very nice!

Absolutely terrible service and no response from John (it is now 5 days after we were meant to stay here and we still haven't heard anything!) I booked this accommodation for the evening of 12 November 2016 and received confirmation from the host that my reservation had been accepted. We arrived at the hosts residence on the Sunday afternoon and the house was all locked up as well as the gate to the granny flat I had booked. After numerous Airbnb messages and texts to the host, knocking on his front door and attempting to contact him on his mobile phone number (which just kept going beep beep beep and dropping out on the five attempts I made) and making contact with the hosts neighbours on either side, we waited for more than two hours and have still not heard anything. As such, we had to cancel the booking as we urgently needed to find somewhere to stay the night. After two hours of searching online (Hobart and surrounding hotels were booked out because of the cricket so we finally found accommodation 50km away arriving in the dark and having to leave early in the morning to catch our flight home. I have requested a full refund via the Airbnb Resolution Centre but am still waiting for correspondence from them. We are very disappointed. We have stayed at other Airbnb places and they were great.

John and Sandra were very friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Food and washing done were a definite bonus. B Flat was in a quiet area and perfect for relaxation. Glenorchy has everything needed in the way of shops and services. It is in walking distance. It also has public transport and provides a quick simple drive to Hobart. John has some great ideas to update the flat. We will certainly be back next year.

We had a great time having this space as our home away from home for our last three nights in Tasmania. We were surprised by how spacious it is and how nicely thought out it in terms of homeliness. The views out of the living room and bedroom are peaceful and you forget you're staying under David and Yvonne's main house as it really is self-contained with it's own entrance. The afternoon sun in the lounge is awesome. Heat pump makes the nights comfortable, and a nice touch is the folder of maps for travel reference. There are views of Mount Wellington on approach, and we felt quite privileged to be able to spend time at the home of local Hobartians (though we didn't actually see much of our hosts due to being out all day). The fact there is no kitchen is not a problem, dishes can be washed in the laundry tub or bathroom sink. The area is quiet and close to the great restaurants and shopping on Elizabeth St, but you will need a car to really enjoy this location. We would have loved one more night to explore Elizabeth St as it looks lively. We also missed the Lady Franklin Gallery which is in Lenah Valley. This is a very child-friendly space too - we were so appreciative of the toys for our 3 year old to enjoy. We highly recommend this place for privacy and comfort, which is just what is required after long days out exploring Hobart and it's surrounding towns.

David and Yvonne were very welcoming even at late night. They showed us around the house which is very big and cozy. We had all the amenities in the house, and our stay for 2 nights was very comfortable.

This was our first experience of Airbnb. Our issue wasn't with the apartment but the path to it. My wife is mobility impaired. The path to the apartment is so steep it was hard for her to get to and from it. Had we been aware of this we would not have booked there.

Having stayed at LenaWay for a week we can definitely say that the accommodation was as described, and certainly met our needs while in Hobart. A warm welcome form Yvonne and David; nice, quiet neighbourhood; close to all amenities; and our hosts provided plenty of tourist information in the unit; wifi; and best of all a comfy bed. If you have a car this is a great place to stay when visiting Hobart. It was clean, spacious, had adequate cooking facilities and the bed was comfortable. The location is quiet and yet it is quite centrally located for activities in Hobart. David met us when we arrived and was friendly and welcoming offering us any assistance if needed.

Carl is all that one would hope for in a genial airbnb host. Communicates clearly and promptly, accommodated the schedule i needed for arrival, keeps his place immaculate.... and is a smart, great conversationalist, eager to help with the "local knowledge" that can be important to a visit. The room in not much bigger than the bed, but Carl understands a possible "overflow" into the general area. His location was especially convenient as I had my car and he had a place for it. I can not comment on local transportation. Highly recommended.

To be honest, I will not recommend this place to my (URL HIDDEN) provide some objective facts, if you have a car, it may be a good location. If not, you need walk15- 20 minutes to bus stop, spend $6.4 and took 25-30 minutes to Hobart City every time.The heater in the room is too loudly you won't turn on it over 2 minutes even its so cold ,we use our sleeping bag. The hood unusable, the host afraid there is fume in the house,so we don't really cook much in past week.Above all, the host is a artist who has "insist on his home".Maybe you can have a chat with him. then you can get more than the room. Anyway, thanks. We save some money, but there are more important things than cheap rent next time when I choose Airbnb.

staying at Carls place was nice - i stayed there one night and i didn t meet Carl but everything was very well prepared. The bed is super comfy and the aparment was very clean. Communication with Carl was easy and quick. Would totally recommend to stay here. Having a car would be great as if the apartment ist not in the direct city center (but public transport brings you there easily with a little bit of walking too).

Loved staying at Marlise's place. Great eco-house - spacious, comfortable, good facilities and knock-out views of the mountains and surrounding valleys. Marlise made me feel very welcome. Marlise is a great and friendly host. The place is located up a hill but it is an easy drive from the city. There is an amazing view of Mount Wellington and her adorable three sheep. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. She was very generous in accommodating our needs and provided us with condiments when we were cooking. We overlooked our itinerary and missed booking one night at her place. However, she was very kind in putting us up at her personal rooms for another night. Amazing place with your own personal space and can fit 6 people comfortably.

This is great accommodation 10 minutes from Hobart. Excellent value for a 2 bed, 2 bath, lower duplex. Super clean and very spacious. Cat was wonderful to deal with. Very steep entry so not easy for anyone with mobility issues. Very quiet area, we really loved it. Wonderful heating and large TV? Kitchen well equipped. great stay.

A truly magical experience! Only a few minutes to the city, yet it felt like an adventure when we headed up the narrow country road to find ourselves in the foothills of Mount Wellington and surrounded by beautiful Aussie bushland. Sitting on our bed at night we could see the lights of Hobart twinkling in the distance. We loved the open plan room which had everything we needed and more, including fresh raspberries and flowers from Mieke's garden, a really comfy bed, the cutest kitchen, quirky sandstone bathroom and interesting items around the room to delight in. Mieke is a wonderful host, so warm and welcoming, and it was truly a pleasure to experience a night in this beautiful bushland setting in the beautiful, rustic, quirky space that Mieke has created. We were Mieke's first guests in her cute little flat. It's a lovely location up the top of Hobart, with a great view out over the city and the river. Mieke has kitted the flat out thoughtfully. However, the bathroom provides no privacy - there's no wall between the toilet and the rest of the room, so you'll need to be comfortable with sharing everything! Also, the apartment is attached to the house, so this was not as private as other airbnb stays I have had. Overall, however, we had an enjoyable stay.

Lovely and cozy property, seeing a lovely view first thing every morning is so wonderful for the trip! Driving to the Hobart only takes 10 minutes, convenient yet quiet. Mieke is so nice to have warmed up the property beforehand, so the cold winter is not cold at all!

Sadly we only had one night in Hobart, but Charles was a welcoming host and his home was just what we needed. The house is beautifully furnished, clean and comfortable. Its in a quiet residential area, so you will probably need a car to get to/from and to shop or go out to eat. The night views of Hobart lights across the river are very nice.

Charles' house is fabulous, the view is the fantastic. We came to the house really late because of some troubles on the road but Charles waited for us. He and his wife are really kind. We so much enjoyed our stay! We definitely will come back. Highly recommended!

It was only the two of us who stayed but it could very comfortably fit a family if four or more. One was beautiful four-poster bed the whole place was exceptionally cosy and nothing was spared on all the extra details.
