  • Karen has a wonderful, charming place for the weary traveler to rest. Kilcolgan Castle was picturesque, especially with the short trip down to Tyrone House on the small lane and the lovely recommendations to local food spots. Would highly recommend!

  • Wow the best Airbnb I have ever been in! We had nespresso, salmon, yoghurt! So nice and warm, there was already a fire burning when we arrived! Mary drove us to the car rental place, she is amazing! We will be back! Wow!!

    Yvette2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Before booking, I'd read lovely reviews about Mary's place, and she definitely delivered! On arrival there were fresh scones and cakes, milk in the fridge and a wood fire already burning; perfect after a long day of sight seeing. Mary's communication throughout was great (she recommended local eateries to book before we arrived so that we had somewhere sorted for our first night) - definitely head down the road for a meal at Paddy Burkes! The location was exactly what we were looking for - a short bus ride into Galway but also perfect to explore the loal countryside. Will be recommending to all looking to visit the Galway area!

    Liv2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • This was a home away from home, loved my stay and would definitely stay again, would highly recommend this spacious apartment, Mary was a lovely host

    Sarah2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • We started our trip to Ireland in this beautiful little house. The location is quiet, but also close to everything in the village (you can go grocery shopping without a car). We were able to visit Galway, go to Clifden in the Connemara and to the Cliffs of Moher. The view from the first floor was so peaceful with the horses... We were here with our 2 kids and the house was really ideal for us (they are stairs but you always have a door that you can close so that the kids don't fall). We had some trouble with our car and Mary and her husband were quick to answer our questions. And we had fresh bread and muffins (plus things in the fridge) when we arrived! We would definitely recommend this address!

  • Great apartment in great scenery, great beds, we love the decor and the fireplace

  • You will not find a better Airb&b anywhere, also you will not find better hosts. A wonderful place in a great village with everything laid on. Can not recommend it more highly. Your host Mary, makes you feel like part of the family. Great!

    Peter2019-05-15T00:00:00Z
  • Mary’s place is perfect & Mary is a wonderful host. Attention to detail and knowledge of what makes a home from home is impeccable. It’s also a property right in the heart of a wonderful location with an added bonus of being in walking distance of many amenities. A great find in a great area.

    Wayne2019-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay here! After experiencing less-than-wonderful accommodations in Dublin, we were so relieved to find that the apartment exceeded our expectations. Clarinbridge is a great location for exploring Galway, Connemara, and the Arran Islands. The home is clean, quiet, private, and well-appointed. We enjoyed every moment and meeting Mary was a real treat. There were several local pubs within a short walk and the food/atmosphere was great. We highly recommend it!

  • Lovely warm place, with very comfy bed! One of the most clean and beautiful bathrooms I've ever seen! Kevin is a genuine nice person who prepares the house very well for his guests.

    Erica2019-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • No harm in finding Kevin's house thanks to the very good indications given upstream. The reception was very nice! The house is beautiful and warm. The room is spacious and very comfortable as is the bathroom. About twenty minutes from Galway (which in passing is really a pretty little town that deserves to be seen!) Excellent stay! Thanks for everything

    Marion2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Kevin greeted us and showed us around. He even drove us to the next pub because it was raining. Great place to stay. The room we stayed was very luxerious and nicely decorated.

    Dorothée2019-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • Really lovely accommodation. Kevin gave great advise about where to get dinner and breakfast. The room is possible for three people and really comfortable and clean. The bathroom next (next room) is clean and with everything you need. We Really recommend it!

    Ann-Kathrin2019-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed one night at Kevin's place and we loved it! Everything is so cosy and lovely. It was very clean and even Kevin was extremely nice. We could leave our package at the house as we came a bit early and and he welcomed us so warm and friendly! We actually felt like in an hotel. We loved it!

  • Such a cool little private suite in the backyard! It’s like your own little house! really easy to get to Galway from there, probably like a 15 minute bus ride!

  • The airbnb was perfect for an overnight trip to Oranmore. The town centre is less than a 10 minute walk from Thelma's airbnb and less than a minute from a Lidl. The Airbnb was clean, well heated and the bed was comfortable. As mentioned in other comments, you have to walk through the house to access the Airbnb, but Thelma and family are incredibly friendly so it didn't feel awkward. Would recommend for a night or two in Oranmore.

  • Really nice hosts, awesome and clean rooms, breakfast was really good. House is near the town. Thanks for all! Really enjoyed our Stay here!

    Clara2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • They were awesome! We literally scambled trying to find a place, at 7pm from the giants causeway up north. They were cool with letting us in at 12am, greeting us, and getting us into our comfy room. We had a room with private shower and toilet, everything was clean, and the bed was comfortable (which after 5 hours of driving was needed!). Breakfast was great, fresh fruit, fried ham and egg, toast/jam and cereal. Their home is simply beautiful and unique, we enjoyed our stay and got some insights on visiting Ireland tourist location, highly recommend this place and the wonderful couple that own it.

  • John and Bernie provided such an incredible stay for my mom and I! The place is super cool and a short drive away from Galway City, and a perfect starting point for lots of little day adventures. John’s local tips are definitely worth a follow! He told us about some crazy good spots and viewpoints. Would 100% come back!

    Khanh2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Our weekend stay at John's castle (the place is too great to be called just 'house') was great, very good location well-connected to Galway, calmness of the countryside when you wake up seeing a beautiful sunrise, and amazing breakfast and hospitality. We would definitely come back and highly recommend this place and John and his family as hosts.

  • Kieren was amazing! His place was cute, quiet, and central. It’s perfect. Kieren talked to us every chance he got and even gave us a lift to the bus stop before our departure. It was confusing when we got there because the tiny house is behind his house so we couldn’t find it but we called him and he answered immediately and gave us instruction. I would recommend this cute tiny house to anyone!

    Fallyn2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • I LOVED staying here. Kieran and his family were wonderful, he even gave us a ride up to the pub one night and made sure we were taken care of. I’m sad I can only give him 5 stars but his little cottage is wonderful.

    Peter2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Cute little chalet and great value for money given how expensive Ireland is. Location is great for exploring the countless beauties West Ireland has to offer with quick access to the motorways. Kieran was friendly, quick to respond to questions and amenities inc. Teas, coffees, toiletries were very helpful given we travelled light.

  • Much bigger than expected! 2 large bedrooms, great kitchen/living room, and a very large bathroom. We had a great time, and our two toddlers loved the glass sunroom. Damian had a nice warm fire burning when we checked it, so it was very warm and cozy. Definitely recommend!

    Jake2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • This apartment is very large. Both bedrooms are spacious and private. Damien had a nice fire going for us so the living room/kitchen were very cozy when we arrived.

  • Place was amazing inside and out. Great location and good local tips from Daniel downstairs at the bar. Definitely will be back.

    Ethan2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Damian’s Airbnb was nothing short of wonderful. From the communication leading up to the trip, to the helpful information he provided about the city center and surrounding areas, we were sorted for the entirety of our stay. Not to go without mentioning that spacious bathroom and bathtub!... what a treat after a long day walking about and getting caught in the rain! Staying above a local pub was such a nice addition after a long day out as well, and the locals’ engagement and suggestions for the rest of our trip were so appreciated. Would definitely recommend to future travelers and friends thinking of visiting this beautiful pet of the country. Thanks Damian!!

    Samantha2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Was an amazing host, lovely place. Cosy fire and great pub nearby!

    Freddie2020-02-23T00:00:00Z

    Hansika2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • The whole place was great, the living room was very comfortable (especially with the fire place). The kitchen is huge and has everything you need and the bathroom is a real eye-catcher! This recently converted cottage is situated on the south side of Galway Bay (5 minutes walk to the sea), in a quiet rural setting. It is an ideal starting point for exploring Galway city, south Galway, the Burren and the Cliffs of Moher.
The house was originally a thatched cottage with a stone shed which we've converted into a double housing unit. We live in the 'shed' part , and rent the cottage. It retains a number of original features including a stone chimney breast. It has two bedrooms, a well equipped kitchen, a small sitting room and a well filled book room. The bedroom upstairs has a double bed and a small ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom has a double and single bed, and is suitable for 2 adults or three children willing to share a bed. The downstairs bathroom has no bath, just a walk in shower.
You absolutely must have independent transport to stay here. Walking, the sea is 5 minutes away, and there's a great view of the Burren across the bay on a clear day. In the winter time bird migrations arrive from the arctic circle. There's a shellfish farm in our bay and you can buy oysters, mussels and clams from Kellys the fish farmers. Kinvara, a very pretty market town with its picturesque castle is 10 minutes away by car where there are plenty of pubs often with live music, and a good selection of restaurants.
  • What a fantastica find. This house was exactly what we needed to totally relax. Despite the fact that there was a storm the entire week we were there, Margaret and Pascal checked in regularly with suggestions of where to spend a rainy day, providing maps, leaflets and their personal favourite pastimes. The house was wonderfully warm and had more books than my local library. The beds were comfortable, the shower was great and there was EVERYTHING you could possibly have needed, including basic food provisions should you have neglected to pick up some shopping en route. We would definitely recommend it for a family get away and hope to visit again. Superb

  • Lovely house and lovely guests. They are really welcoming and gave us plenty of tips and advices on what to do around galway. I would come back there without a doubt!

  • Highly recommend this cottage. The hosts are really friendly and a pleasure to deal with. It's always nice to be welcomed with a genuine smile. The cottage is beautiful, comfortable and filled with treasures. If reading is a hobby of yours, you are in for a lovely surprise! The location is idyllic, from the garden to the local sights. Our stay was peaceful, cozy and soothing.

  • Uncomplicated, clean, close to nature, warm, reliable, cuddly feel-good house ... Car is recommended.

    Eveline2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • A cosy cottage, very well equipped, with a garden, lots of books and more spacious than you would expect. Margaret and her husband were great hosts. We wish we could stay longer!

    Ingrid2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • An extremely characterful and comfortable home in a gem of a location in this stunning and storied part of Ireland. Much bigger than than it looks in the pictures, beautifully well appointed (the aged balsamic vinegar was typical of the kind of "basics" stocking the kitchen!) with utterly delightful hosts who know everything and everyone in the surrounding area. The garden is like something from the Chelsea Flower Show and the library is an Aladdin's cave of history, art history, musicology and literature of every kind. We spent a heavenly couple of weeks here on the cusp of the Galway native oyster season (if you're an oyster lover, there's no better place to be on the planet). We will miss it dearly and look forward to returning to this magical place.

  • I had such a lovely stay at Laura’s place. It was fun to stay in a tiny house with a compost toilet (I’d been wanting to try one and actually really liked it), and is located in a loved village - make sure to walk down to the water if you have a chance! You do need a car to get here and it’s what if you’re comfortable driving on country roads - otherwise the location is wonderful, being between Galway and the Cliffs of Moher. We also really appreciated all the local tips and the little starter food kit. So thoughtful!

Bluebell is a modern bright apartment. Attached to our home but totally private with it's own entrance and parking area. You have a deck with outdoor furniture and BBQ which overlooks our chicken run. 3 friendly dogs and 2 donkeys also on site. Situated on the Wild Atlantic Way and only a 10 min walk to catch the sun set on Galway Bay; with the Burren on our door step and 45 min drive to the Cliffs of Moher. Galway City (gateway to Connemara) is 20 mins drive. Lovely walks nearby.

You can buy Galway Bay oysters and mussels from Kelly's Oysters who are a 2 minute walk away.
  • Our stay at Laura's was very pleasant. She was a host, with her husband, attentive and very concerned about the well-being of all. We loved the little house, functional and full of charm, the little touches, the garden, the friendly animals. The house is located near the sea, it is possible to walk there, which is a nice walk. The region is sublime and there is a lot to do, for those who love the sometimes wild nature and the elements. Very nice experience, we will come back to Laura with joy !!!!!

  • We had a lovely stay at Bluebell for a week’s time! We were greeted by the friendly dogs as we drove up to the home, as well as by the ducks and chickens! The home was clean, comfortable, and well-furnished. Laura had fresh eggs, soda bread, and other breakfast items for our first breakfast. Lauren provided wonderful dining ideas (Moran’s has the best fish and chips around!); and gave great feedback on places we wanted to visit. Property located a fair distance from Galway, but convenient enough. Strongly recommend.

The hospitality was second to none and they were always very quick to answer any questions we had. • Had such a nice stay at Anne's place. It was really clean, warm & cosy. My interaction with Anne was brief, but to say that it was warm would be understating it! She made us feel really welcome in her space. The house itself has everything you could need. Highly recommended. Thanks a million Anne.

  • Anne's place is so cozy and welcoming that I instantly regretted not staying there longer. The breakfast offered was beyond expectations and made us revisit our plans to eat in town. Overall, amazing experience!

  • You will not find a cozier place than this! We enjoyed the apartment so much we actually cut our sightseeing short so we could enjoy more time there! The extra touches that others have mentioned are beyond welcoming. The host even let us check in a little early because we arrived from Dublin way sooner than expected. The hosts hospitality is some of the best I’ve ever experienced anywhere! If you are looking for a quiet getaway with convenient access to the areas surrounding Galway, you could do no better!

  • This is by far the best airbnb I've done. The place is spacious but also cosy, warm. The personal touches make it great. Everything that you could need is offered. The breakfast but also the little attentions, like scones and olives, are an extra lovely touch. The hosts are incredibly friendly. I would (and will) recommend this place to everyone travelling in the area.

We highly recommend this address. Thanks again to Finola for everything.

Our place is a separate, spacious converted milking parlour, 5 minutes walk from the sea. A gateway to the Wild Atlantic Way. One mile from the main Galway/Ennis/Limerick Road and the village of Clarinbridge. Good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, families with children over 12 and small groups.
The property is approximately 5 minutes walk to the sea. There is a two mile coastal walk to enjoy. Breathe in the sea air and then head to Galway city for a night out on the town or to a local fine restaurant.
The property is approximately 5 minutes walk to the sea. The walk to Cave along the sea front is spectacular even on a rainy day. Views of the bay and the Burren are stunning.
  • Suzanne is an amazing host, nothing is too much. This is the 2nd time I stayed at the converted milking parlour (it’s so lovely to see the photos of what the place used to look like) this year Suzanne had a few extra touches that did not go unnoticed. A miniature gin bar, some freshly baked breakfast scones, I didn’t think the first stay could be topped but it really did. We stayed for 1 night for a wedding the following day and then headed to adare so although a quick stop it was a much enjoyed one. Thank you Suzanne, I can’t wait to book a stay later in the year :)

    Amy2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Suzanne was absolutely wonderful. Her place is perfectly welcoming. She had nice touches like extra drinks, fruit, and breakfast choices. She also had several restaurant suggestions and places to stop along our way to Dublin. What a GREAT host !

  • Suzanne and Owen are wonderfully friendly and helpful hosts who gave us a very warm easy welcome. The accommodation is comfortable, stylish and immaculately clean. We loved the rural tranquillity, the relaxed chic style and all the lovely creative touches. And the welcome pack, too! The location is great - near to both the partying and jostling in Galway centre nightlife yet near enough to the Burren to go there for a short visit and an afternoon walk. Brilliant!

    Terry2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful home base for our time in Galway! Suzanne’s place is so clean and bright and comfortable and the perfect place to relax while traveling. Suzanne even left us fresh scones and other breakfast items. Anyone visiting Galway who wants the proximity to the city and other attractions without the hassle of staying in the city should consider staying in this quaint, pristine place!

Margeret and Kieron went beyond and above what anyone could wish for and offered us a lift to the Moran’s oyster cottage Restraunt which is definitely worth a visit and picked us up afterwards. The extras and finishing touches were perfect . A wonderful couple and would hope to see them again some time in the future as there company was very enjoyable.

  • You can expect a beautiful house, with beautiful 2 rooms (2 persons each), incredibly lovely hosts, in the kitchen everything is available for breakfast, but you are allowed to lend a hand, which we found to be pleasant. Depending on the traffic you drive to Galway 20 to 25 minutes. A bus stop is 4 minutes away. In 20 minutes direction Burren you are already on the wild rocky and rocky coast. We can only recommend it. All thumbs up from us !!!

    Sylvia2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Margaret and Keiron were perfect hosts. They are very warm and engaging people who greet guests with Irish charm and genuine smiles. The location of the house is just a couple of minutes stroll from Kilcolgan Castle and the house and room itself was very comfortable with everything you need to enjoy your stay. Would not hesitate to stay again.

We live in a lovely, friendly and safe neighbourhood. The shop next door serves the local community where you catch up on all the local news! The pub, 2 minutes walk away, is a truly Irish local bar, serving the local community. Enjoy a pint of Guinness served by Damian and chat to the customers about the weather! There are plenty of lovely walks right from the door of the cottage. Our favourite is a 30 minute walk to Aran Pier, where if you are brave enough and the tide is in, you can join us for a daily swim in the Atlantic, one of the most refreshing experiences you'll ever have! If you are really lucky, your trip will coincide with a walk to Eddie island which can only be completed four times a year within a two hour timeframe at low tide. Along the way, pick and eat your own shellfish!!

  • Megan and Joe's place is immaculately clean, modern, and well provisioned. From a starter kit for the wood stove to a pair of fresh scones at checkin, they had everything we needed to feel at home for our brief, enjoyable stay. The two storey setup is fun, the kitchen has plenty of dishware and tea facilities, and the location is close to many nice spots (as well as on the correct side of Galway for visiting the Cliffs of Moher. They had a lot of detailed instructions for local favorites and must-see items. Thanks again, Trevor

An apartment on the shore of Galway Bay. Kitchen, Living Room area, Bathroom, 1 double bedroom suitable for 2 adults. Parking. Convenient to Galway city, Connemara, and the Burren, which are all worth touring. 8 mins from the Dublin motorway (M6), and 3 mins from the Shannon/Limerick/Cork national primary road (N18). The beautiful towns of Oranmore and Clarenbridge are close by.
Sea Breeze overlooks Rinville Harbour which is a viewing stop on the Wild Atlantic Way. Rinville Park is a very popular park area for walking and exercising. Golfers will enjoy the Galway Bay Golf and Country Club also located in Rinville. I understand that the green fees are reasonable. On the other side of the Ardfry peninsula, birdwatchers will enjoy the egrets and herons that grace our shores along with many other varieties. Tawin, a peninsula three miles for Sea Breeze is a migration transit point for the Brent Geese.
  • We love staying at Rory's place, it's very conveniently located, far enough from town to be quiet and calm and yet close enough to get into the city and enjoy awesome restaurants and see the sights. We definitely recommend the place for a nice quiet getaway. Oranmore offers very good options of restaurants and also a couple very well equipped grocery stores.

  • The accommodation of Rory is exactly as described in the ad. There was nothing missing, the view was terrific. It is very quiet, there is very little traffic in the street. The next pub is a bit further, but nature is right on your doorstep. The apartment was nice and warm. There were two large and a small towel for two people, Küchenbasics are available. The garage is painted red, though :) Thank your for the nice vacation!

Our home is set in an idyllic rural area, located just five minutes from the scenic coastal town of Kinvara, home of Dunguaire Castle. Here you can savour the local ambience in the various cafe's, restaurants and pubs. The Burren National Park is just a ten minute drive and Coole Park is twenty minutes. We are within a twenty minute drive to Galway City. The Wild Atlantic Way is another close atttraction. The Cliffs Of Moher and Shannon Airport are approximately an hour away.
Mary and Eoin (my parents) and I (Joe) live outside the peaceful village of Ballinderreen on the way to Kinvara. Our house is full of colour, character and over 100 years old. The garden, which is just an under an acre, is also just as eye catching.

  • We received a very warm welcome from Joe and his two handsome pups. The room is clean spacious and very comfortable. There is a small kitchen-like area for guests to use as they please and the bathroom is just passed that. Joe made us a lovely breakfast the next morning which we enjoyed sitting out in a cool and quirky conservatory. The house itself is located just outside the small town Kinvara, so is more suited to those who have their own transport, and there is free parking available right outside the house.

  • Partner and I had a very restful and comfortable stay at Joe and Mary’s. It was a rainy and windy day, and we felt the warmth of their place. Joe ensured that we were settled. Mary was excellent in sharing with us the local tips and recommendations. We loved the layout of the airbnb, it’s private and really well-equipped. The 2 doggies were a bonus :P 100/100 will recommend. Thank you!

  • I can highly recommend Seashore Cottage, it provided me with a wonderful retreat location. The weather in December was cold outside but the cottage was lovely and warm. The Cottage is spotlessly clean and the beds very comfortable. Rory is a very considerate host. I will not hesitate to stay again should I get the opportunity.

  • Lovely spacious cottage right on Galway Bay. Beautiful views, comfortable beds and warm house. Location is super with easy access to Galway City. Perfect for an escape from life for a few days.

  • House was really cosy. We slept in the downstairs bedroom which had a very comfy bed and very nice bed linen (a big plus in my book!). Lovely to eat while looking out at the sea. Handy for driving into Galway City and travelling the Wild Atlantic Way.

  • A very nice cottage at a great location and a great view. Close to Galway, it's a good, quiet location to use as a base to explore.

  • Shannon’s place is simply perfect. She is the best host I ever experienced on Airbnb. Her attention to details makes the stay very pleasant. The room is cosy, the place has everything you need and it’s a 12-minute drive to downtown Galway. Furthermore, downtown Oranmore has everything you need to, from pubs to restaurants to grocery store. I highly recommend it!

  • It was the nicest stay in hole Ireland we had. John and his Woman are so amazing friendly. The Rooms ary clean and Beautiful arranged. The hole House is very nice. They gave us nice tipps for Food an pups in this Little Village. And because of the rain they gave us a short lift. Although the Village is not far away. Very nice stay. We would like to visit them again.

  • This is a beautiful home with a lovely hostess and in a secure neighbourhood. Be aware that there are other guests at this property (2 other rooms). Very late arrival by one party and a very early departure by another made for disrupted sleep but other than that it was perfect.

  • Nice house, host able to sport

  • John and Bernie were both very welcoming and friendly. Quick to respond and very accommodating. Beautiful, clean home in a quiet neighborhood a 20-minute drive from Galway. Nice breakfast. John even helped give route suggestions for our driving tour of the Connemara. I give them my highest recommendation.

  • Staying at John's B&B was a pleasant surprise during the trip from Cliffs of Moher to Galway. We booked the B&B the night before and enjoyed our stay very much. The photos posted do not justify the place. The house is new, modern, and grand in a gated community. It felt very safe. The room was sparkly clean and beds were comfortable. The breakfast next day was delicious and healthy. John and his wife are wonderful hosts and go out their ways to help. It was a perfect stay at their B&B!

  • I’ve felt most welcome during my long stay at Shannons comfortable house. very comfortable bed, with plenty storage space. Shannon keeps the place very neat and tidy, and goes out of her way to make her guests feel at home. the house is on the edge of Oranmore village, which has plenty of amenities (groceries and restaurants), whilst also being close to Galway, connected by a frequent bus. on the wild Atlantic way, so good spot from where to explore south Galway and Clare county, which are amongst the most beautiful regions of Ireland!
