  • Strongly recommend staying at Sadhbhs. It's a comfortable, clean and spacious room in Limerick city with a lovely host. Recommend to everyone!

    Brendan2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was great, the bed is really comfortable and really big, everything was clean and the hospitality was unbeatable, she leaves some cookies and tea for breakfast and restores them each night. I highly recommend it, they are lovely people!!

  • Sadhbh is a great host - friendly and welcoming. Lovely house

    Richard2020-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely host and facilities. Loved the little touches to the room.

    Una2020-01-23T00:00:00Z
  • Quick communication, great hospitality, and personalized tips. The room had nice touches such as full sized bath soaps, extra toliet paper, an electric blanket, dishes and a recycle bin. Don't be afraid to ask questions. Sadhbh helped me with my luggage upstairs and even arranged for her husband to drive me to my dorm in the morning, as she didn't want the taxi to overcharge me again.

    Angelina2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • A quiet & bright comfortable room, spotlessly clean. Cosy & warm on a cold Winter’s night plus a warm welcome from Sadhbh! While breakfast was not included, there was a bowel of fresh fruit, (variety), with plenty of tea, coffee, milk & biscuit snacks. Highly recommended.

    Mary2020-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • We were very happy in Sadhbh's room and ensuite and felt warmly welcome. The house is close to the Crescent Shopping Center & not far from Limerick City Centre. The bedroom is bright and well furbished. We will visit again if we go back to Limerick.

  • The accommodation is in a quiet area and you have everything you need. Ruth gave us good tips on how to get into the city and what is worth seeing. Many thanks for everything.

    Anja2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Ruth is friendly hostess and the room we were in was the best. Nice bed and hot shower on a cold wintry day. She had several breakfast options waiting for us when we came downstairs. Her recommendation for some Irish music the night we arrived was fabulous!

    Colleen2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • I had a work colleague stay at Ruth’s house and it was an ideal place. Clear communication and access to house and convenient location for city based work.

Here you can escape the hustle & bustle of city life, and lose yourself in rolling woodlands and starlit skies. Your morning coffee will never taste better with the breeze from the Shannon and views of the hills beyond. Relax in secluded surroundings, or dive into the “craic” of Ireland’s greenest county. Breakfast is included, all ingredients sourced locally. Lunches, suppers & picnic baskets also available. Browse through my reviews & see that I do everything I can to welcome my guests.
You will be the only guests in my home. The first bedroom is ensuite, has a king size bed and futon. The second has a double bed. The loft bedroom has a double bed and access to a bathroom with a roll-top bath. The sitting room and kitchen both have traditional stoves; the whole house is wifi-enabled. Set back from the road, the house sits in the shelter of a wood with views of hills & pasture. Dogs, bees, chickens, guinea fowl & horses wander the yard & the paddocks.
Clarina is well placed for beautiful locations like Adare, Lough Gur Heritage Site, the hills of County Clare, Knockfierna, Lough Derg and Holy Island, Grange Stone Circle, the coast of Kerry, the lakes of Killarney, the Cliffs of Moher and the Clare coast, as well as Limerick City itself, with King John’s Castle, its Medieval Quarter and Saturday’s Farmers’ Market. 25 minutes to Shannon Airport, with Dublin 2 hours away by car.
  • Eleanor was an absolute DREAM and her home was PERFECT. It had everything you could possibly need. She was so warm and just so easy to get along with. She gave us AMAZING recommendations. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! ♡

    Chantel2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Do you want a 100% authentic Irish experience? Do you enjoy fresh air and a warm fire? Do you prefer fresh eggs and homemade jam? Do you want to be around some sweet old dogs and horses? Then this is the place for you.

    Heather2019-12-14T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely, cozy home with incredible hospitality. Eleanor went out of her way to welcome us with warm tea and coffee, provided recommendations for things to do in the area (and the remainder of our trip in Ireland), and was great to sit and chat with. She provides all of the necessary amenities that truly make her place feel like home .

    Amanda2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Eleanor is a unique host and her home is one of a kind. If you have the opportunity to stay with her you will be blown away by the personal touches in every nook and cranny of her home. The personal interactions you have with her and her animals will warm your heart as will her in-depth knowledge of the area attractions, both on and off the beaten path. No other bnb we’ve stayed in has matched it.

    Meg2019-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • Oh. My. Goodness. When we arrived it was like coming home to an old friend. Eleanor’s home is everything wonderful and she’s the most gracious person ever. She cares so much about the experience for her guests and she will jump at the chance to make every moment better. We sat by her fireplace at night drinking the whiskey she offered us and telling stories. I wanted to stay for a week. We will be back. By that I mean we would plan a trip to Ireland just for the opportunity to stay at her house again. That says it all.

    Kari2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, awesome people, delicious food and very good advice! That’s all the things and more you can expect form your stay at Eleanor’s! She is just the loveliest Lady you’ll ever meet. My first time travelling alone wouldn’t have been the same without her and her help for making plans on what to see and where to go! Big recommendations for everybody. Especially for girls like me travelling alone not being sure where to stay at.

    Leah2019-10-24T00:00:00Z

Plenty of towels and shower gel provided. Nick is very friendly to deal with and offered me a seat on the couch in the living room straight away and tea/coffee plus he offered me the use of his cable TV service and also he said I could call him after I'd checked-out if I got into any difficulties.

  • Ruth’s home was cozy, cute, comfortable, and warm. Her home is out of the bustle of the center city where parking is a nightmare (downtown), but the stay is still conveniently located a quick 5 minute drive to the good stuff. Ruth was a wonderful host who made sure lines of communication were open and she provided great local tips.

    River2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at Ruth's place. The rooms are nice and comfy and Ruth was incredibly welcoming. The place is great for anyone traveling on a budget: prices are about the same as a hostel and you can save some money on breakfast, as she provides some bread and cereals. I would definitely recommend this place.

    Zoé2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Ruth’s place is a great place for the price. It is a bit outside the city but Ruth did tell us that and we were okay with it. Ruth’s place is not the place if you want to party. She has strict quiet hours starting at 10 pm on Friday, which we thought was a bit early. There is no flushing the toilet after midnight as well. But over her place was good and she was amazing. She did a great job checking in on us and was very accommodating

    Tracy2020-01-04T00:00:00Z

She is very engaging and demonstrated genuine interest in making my time at her house a worthwhile experience. I had the opportunity to meet Sadhbh’s husband during my time at their home, and he’s an absolute gentleman. In all honesty, I definitely will stay at Sadhbh’s if I ever have to, over and over again. I highly recommend a stay at Sadhbh’s to anyone.

Even though she does not serve breakfast, she left tea, cookies and fruit for us. The bathroom is large and well appointed.

  • It was a very nice time in Limerick, the accommodation of Maura & Pat was very nice. She had everything to support herself and was in a blameless condition. Also, the communication with Pat was very good, we have received valuable tips from him and always had the feeling to be able to address him in case of problems. Many thanks to the two again!

    Ezra2019-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • Pat and Maura’s place offers a great base to explore the local area. Pat welcomed us with his home made apple cake and gave us useful tips so we could make the best of our stay. I recommend exploring the County Clare & Kerry coastline - there’s plenty to take in.

Was an easy drive getting there from Kilkenny with a stop to see the. Rock of Cashel. Good location but you definitely need a car. The hosts are welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend staying here a few days.

  • We stayed at Elizabeth's place for a couple of nights and had a wonderful time. The area is very safe and quiet. We had a private ensuite bedroom and could use all amenities in the kitchen. • Had an amazing stay at Maureen's. She is an excellent host even drove me back to town. The place really nice and stylish. The place is in a beautiful village with green all around! I would definitely stay here again. Thank you!!!!

    Katie2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful property, a mix of great space and wonderful hospitality. Myself and five friends stayed at Tir Chonaill for a wedding weekend in Adare. The property is easy to find, check-in was great, and there was plenty of room for our cars. The rooms are a great size, with comfy beds and finished with nice soft furnishing touches. Maureen is a brilliant host, we felt like we were in a home away from home and the breakfast was really fantastic! Cyrus the dog was an absolute bonus and we loved seeing her. My only pieces of feedback would be that the rooms can be a bit cold at night- one room had an electric blanket, so it might be a good idea to have those in all rooms! Also the hot water tank didn't have enough for all six of us to shower in the morning- but we just staggered our showers and we're fine. Ultimately this is an Air BnB we would all stay in again without hesitation.

    Rebekah2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Really convenient to the Woodlands House Hotel where we attended a wedding. Maureen was a great host, we had a peaceful nights sleep and a gorgeous breakfast the next morning.

  • Marketa’s apartment was beautiful, and super well located! We very much enjoyed our stay there, and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking to stay in Limerick.

    Kathryn2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Marketa's apartment is fantastic, but even better is Marketa's hospitality. I would highlight the details of a modern apartment, which provides the feeling of being at home, I would highlight the formidable location that allows you to stroll everywhere (we recommend seeing traditional live music in a nearby bar called Dolan's), but, I insist, it is Above all, Marketa's warmth, her pleasant reception, her help, her advice to make the visit to the city, fluid communication easier. A pleasure to have spent a few days at home.

    Elena2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay! The apartment is ideal, super clean, neatly decorated and very well located! Marketa has been very kind and helpful to us! No doubt if we return for Limerick we already know where to feel at home!

  • I spent by Simona only one night, but despite that it was very pleasant night. Cozy room, soft bed and we didn't even have to pay the parking fee, which is in Limerick required almost everywhere, because she let us park it in a private park place underneath the house.

  • My fiancée and I really enjoyed our stay at Slattery’s. Kay was so inviting and made us feel very welcomed! She gave us tips on where to eat, as well as chatted with us a bit. She made us breakfast in the morning as well which was delicious! We do wish the pub had been open though, but despite it being closed, Kay made sure to give us recommendations on where to go!

    Liam2019-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • Slattery's Guest house was selected for our trip as it was a good stop after our day on the Dingle Peninsula and Tralee. We specifically selected this stopping point on our way to Bunratty, Cliffs of Mohr and Galway. It is in a very small town connected to Slattery's Pub. This house is very, very close to Adare if you want to stop there to see the thatched roof houses. We did not get in until late (around 10pm) and the Slattery's pub was closed - but the small convenience across the street was open with snacks and beverages that worked perfectly for our group. If you wanted to go down to 7 Sister's Pub - less than a mile down the road - it was open. We opted to stay in and play cards. We had the whole house which was great for our group. There were (9) of us. One room on the ground floor worked well for my mother and sister and I with a king bed and (1) twin bed and private bath - tub is a bit high and was somewhat difficult for my 85 year old mother to handle but she was able to get in with assistance. I had (3) young couples - (1) had a king bed and the other (2) had rooms with (2) twin beds. It worked for them for the night and all had their own bathrooms. There is a main parlor on the main floor with the dining area that was all set for breakfast. We gathered there and played cards. There was a kitchen and a small quaint little backyard area with a table and chairs. Kay could not be there due to other circumstances that she previously communicated but she left us plenty of breakfast provisions. We had several cooks in the group so we cooked scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, toast. Kay provide plenty of coffee, juices, yogurts fruits and vegetables. We filled up and went on our way! Thank you Kay for providing your Irish hospitality.

  • We were very grateful that Anne was able to accommodate us checking in slightly earlier than planned and she was kind to show us around the property and provide some great local advice. The cottage is bigger on the inside than it appears to be from outside and had such a cosy feel to it. It is was perfectly equipped for our needs and it felt so relaxing to come back to after a long day out. Anne was an excellent host, very quick to respond to communications and went "above and beyond" when we needed some advice on the local area. If we head back to the Limerick area, we certainly plan to return.

Foxmeadow Cottage is close to the picturesque village of Adare with its historic buildings and wide range of quality restaurants, atmospheric pubs and family-friendly activities. You’ll love the cottage because of the views and the peaceful rural surroundings. It is good for couples and families (with kids) and is also ideal as a base for touring the Wild Atlantic Way or for guests attending weddings in one of Adare's renowned hotels.
  • The cottage was perfect for our family of five adults with plenty of room. Our time spent was in February and Ireland made the weather a bit of a challenge, as expected, but Mary’s place was warm, cozy and dry every day we returned from our daily excursions. Communication was excellent, the location is very easy to find with the village of Adare a 5 min drive away, it has a small market, pharmacy and great local pubs. It’s is rural Ireland which is what we were looking for. Highly recommend Foxmeadow Cottage.

  • The Foxmeadow Cottage offers everything you could ask for. Fully equipped kitchen makes it easy to entertain. There is wifi, smartTV, fireplace, laundry and 3 comfortable bedrooms with 2 bathrooms rooms and 1 extra toilet . She is a super host!

  • Our stay at Fox Meadow Cottage was perfection! It was easy to find, using a GPS, and we were pleased to see that it looks just as the pictures! Mary met us as we were unloading the car, with a warm welcome. She took us around the house, explaining how to manage heat, appliances, etc. She had also left us fresh eggs from her chickens! We were there in November, and she had a fire laid in the family room stove, so our first night was cozy and perfect! I texted her the next day and asked what we buy for more supplies for the fire and asked for a lesson to build our next fire. When we returned from our day, she was out for the night, but had laid another fire for us and let us know that she'd give us our lesson the next evening. The cottage is very Irish and homey. All new hardwood floors, except for tile in the bathrooms, entry, laundry room and kitchen. Lovely well done kitchen great for cooking in. We felt very at home there. Mary is helpful, prompt to respond, and has a great personality! We enjoyed our visit with her on our last night in the cottage. She has great insight to the country, and to Adare, suggesting good pubs, shopping, etc. We look forward to visiting with Mary again! We feel as if we had a wonderful vacation and have made a new friend. Ann and Jim Reego

  • Foxmeadow Cottage is charming, updated, super clean and comfortable. Mary met us (even though we arrived late), and quickly walked us through the cottage. For US folks, we found lots of "like home" amenities including plenty of hot water, an easy-to-use heater and plenty of outlets. Mary even had shared eggs from her chickens - which we used for breakfasts. The cottage provided a comfortable refuge from the weather. We came home early a couple days to enjoy some wine and cheese by the fireplace. And, it was well located to give us a base for multiple day trips and regular forays into Limerick to visit my son who was studying at UL. We'd stay again. Thanks, Mary!

  • Adare Cottage was an absolute delight to stay at. It is hidden gem down the end of a quiet road, close to the river but not at all far from the gorgeous little town of Adare. There is ample room for parking a rental car at the rear of the property, nearby the main house where two of the hosts live. The cottage has been beautifully renovated and decorated to make you feel at home. The under-floor heating was a treat and made having a shower on a cool winter’s night much more bearable. There is also an electric fireplace in the living room for extra heat. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook, including an induction stove top and fridge. Both bedrooms have large cupboards, a mirror and a lamp, and the beds are very comfortable. Francis, Ann and Aoife were fantastic hosts. They are incredibly friendly people and went above and beyond to make sure that our time at their place was enjoyable. Small things, such as the cake they left for us when we arrived and their helping hand to ensure we could get our laundry done, meant the world and didn’t go unappreciated. Highly, highly, highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

City centre apartment, with 2 bedrooms. The apartment is located in one limerick's most prestigious buildings. It can comfortably host 6 guests as we provide a very comfortable blow up mattress. Large 50" LCD in living room. Great location close to Shannon airport, train, bus etc.1 hour from Cork , Galway .Limerick is a major city in the Republic of Ireland, set in Munster province in the south of the country. Limerick is the gateway to scenic coastlines and beautiful nature.
Nice LUXURY Apartment in the heart of the city. It has 2 BED ROOMS with 1 King size bed and 1 Double bed. We have a double airbed (air-mattress) .It can comfortable have 6 stay.great location in the city center large 50" LCD tv in living room and really super fast broad band .There is a prepay electricity meter in the apt. We have noticed in the past guests leave many items running (lights and heaters etc..and even left iron and hobs for cooker even left on ) when they check out. Which can be dangerous and bad for the environment There can be days between guests checking out the next check in, hence it is much more environmentally friendly as everything will power down automatically after you check out. You can top up in a shop nearby or on-line I can ask my cleaner to top up in advance for you. The least amount you can top up by is €5 and on average if you are not a heavy user it will use approx €5 \€10 euro a day. I recommend getting my cleaner to topup for you before you arrive as it is one less thing to concern yourself with. Just message the cleaner and it will be arranged by the cleaner and be done prior to your arrival and you can just reimburse her upon arrival.
just have amazing time I will have fresh clean bed lines and towels the bed will be dressed for your convince , enjoy tea coffee biscuits the basics spices oil for cooking , and if there is anything that i can do to make your stay more enjoyable don't hesitate to ask :-) There are a number of supermarkets and pharmacies within easy reach. If you'd like to go for a drink or bite to eat but feel too tired to tackle the streets of LIMERICK (!) the CLARION Hotel is just opposite apt so a short walk away & their very nice Bar also offers a good pub grub menu and there is also a asian restaurant in the hotel also. Limerick City itself is home to a host of award-winning restaurants serving a huge range of different cuisines. I'll be happy to guide you to the best "tried & tested" eateries:)

The history of Limerick, stretches back to its establishment by the Vikings as a walled city on King's Island (an island in the River Shannon) in 812, and its charter in 1197. A great castle was built on the orders of King John in 1200. It was besieged three times in the 17th century, resulting in the famous Treaty of Limerick and the flight of the defeated Catholic leaders abroad. Much of the city was built during the following Georgian prosperity, which ended abruptly with the Act of Union in 1800. Today the city has a growing multicultural population.
  • Lovely old townhouse in the centre of Limerick. We've really enjoyed our stay and the breakfast is also very good. Nora is a very welcoming host. Try to follow her written instructions to the place she will give you in advance because Airbnb's address doesn't lead you to the exact house. It's a little tricky to get in the parking spot but should be no problem for good drivers and we've got a perfect parking spot in front of the building at the main street. Would definitely come back!

  • This is a wonderful place to stay with an easy walk to the city center, and a cosy at home kind of feel. Nora made us feel very welcome and made us an excellent breakfast. She offered several tips and recommendations for restaurants and things to do. This was the perfect place for our trip.

  • We went to Nora because we were going to meet a friend in Limerick. It was really a great place to stay! Everything was clean and Nora was very friendly. Also the breakfast was really nice. We enjoyed our trip so much, also because of the help we got.

  • My family and I interacted with Micheal during our short 2-day visit, and found him to be very warm and charming. He was able to offer some helpful advice regarding destinations and other suggestions. The rooms were clean and tidy, and the showers had good water pressure. The location is quite close to the town of Adare, where I had visited before, so that was a bonus. Michael greeted us both mornings with a hearty breakfast that everyone enjoyed. Thanks Michael!

  • Lily and Michael were the kindest and most helpful of hosts. They made us feel like family and gave us any advice we may have needed. They answered all of our (many) questions and provided excellent accommodations. It was a joy to be in Ireland but an even great joy to have met such loving and caring people across the ocean! I would highly recommend their BnB to anyone!
