“1,5 hours away. No words can fully describe the magical panoramas of the old colored houses nested on the beautiful cliffs of these little towns. Sea is nice with some sandy beaches and lovely little rocky bays. Touristy and yet a great Italian classic. ”

“The Doria castle stands on a rocky ridge, about seventy meters high, in the coastal area south of Vernazza, in the Cinque Terre. The Belforte cylindrical tower, which currently stands at the center of the esplanade, represents the oldest part of the fortification. During the Second World War the castle served as an anti-aircraft post for soldiers from Nazi Germany. Within its walls there was an ancient bronze cannon bearing the inscription "Comunitas Vernatieae", which was taken away by the British and is now visible at the British Museum in London. Currently the castle is not only open to visitors, but also a venue for exhibitions and exhibitions”
