Pie Shop
“About a 20 minute walk (which is helpful on the way back!) but well worth it. Amazing breakfast/brunch and the best pie I've ever had!”

Donut Shop
“If you like donuts, you need to go to Stan's. Nutella stuffed pockets. Pistachio cake. Blueberry fritter. Line can build but goes fast. ”

Italian Restaurant

Gourmet Shop

Coffee Shop

Diner
“Classic American diner fair but elevated and made very unique! This place doesn't take reservations so if you're trying to find a good spot without a crazy wait in Fulton Market, your best bet is to stop in here and put your name in. Then if the wait is long you can walk around and if you happen to find another restaurant you'd rather try out without a wait, then go for it! But at the very least you've got a really good restaurant to try our in your back pocket. ”

Coffee Shop
“Right around the corner! A great place to hang out to work, grab a coffee or a pastry. Outdoor seating when the weather is nice.”

Ice Cream Shop
“I would be remiss if I didn't mention Margie's. Margie's Candies and ice cream is 2.2 miles down Milwaukee Avenue towards town (take the #56 bus or the Blue Line and exit at the Western stop). Margie's has been in the same spot since the 1930's. It is beloved. Unless you've got a reason not to go, like you're lactose intolerant, do yourself a favor and get yourself there somehow during your visit. During the day is the best time to visit because there's usually a 45-minute wait on nice days starting around 6 PM. The same staff has worked there for decades, so please be nice to them.”
