Elizabeth's place was just what we needed for our trip to Chattanooga. It was a very short drive to down town and a very reasonable price. The fresh brown eggs (presumably from the chickens in the backyard) were a nice surprise for our breakfast. I will definitely consider staying at Elizabeth's again next time I visit Chattanooga!

Elizabeth made us feel very welcome at her lovely country home in Flintstone. She even hosted us for a bonfire one night. The house is exactly as advertised: it doesn't smell or feel like a new home, but it certainly has character. The beds are comfy. The kitchen came stocked with everything we needed - like spices, sauces, etc. for cooking. There was also plenty of coffee and a coffeemaker/French press, and Elizabeth asked us throughout the week if we needed more of anything. You're also surprisingly close to Chattanooga and St. Elmo. Both are just a quick drive up the highway, but you still feel like you're in the country. Overall, we were very happy with the place at this price range.

elizabeth was super easy to communicate with, always very prompt, and patient with all of my little questions - do you have a blender? coffee filter? wifi? check in was fine, even though elizabeth was there, she made all the arrangements and left a cute note on the counter, welcoming us. the place was really sweet, very much my style, and my friend lauren and i felt really at home there. not least of all because of the friendly and cuddly kitty who acted as the welcoming party. definitely want to come back and explore the exquisite scenery, as we were there for the chattanooga film fest and didn't have a lot of play time. and i definitely want to meet elizabeth, who seems rad!! thanks, elizabeth and uncle p!!! 3

We truly enjoyed our stay at Elizabeth's sweet country home. We were there for work, so it was nice to be able to sit outside in the evening and watch the clouds roll over Lookout Mountain (quite spectacular) or just enjoy the long and spectacular sunsets. The location was perfect for us since we were driving all over the area from Lafayette through Chickamauga and into Chattanooga. Elizabeth is such a nice person and is a perfect hostess. Would go back there anytime.

Elizabeth totally saved the day by letting me rent her space. It's a super cute little artist's house. There is art everywhere which I loved. Great shower! And there are the cutest Lil friendly chickens out back. A real treat to stay there.

This was my first time using airbnb and Mark's place was a great beginning to my loyalty to airbnb in the future. Mark's place was exactly as described and the pictures are just as you see when you peruse Mark's listing. Mark contacted me several times prior to my visit and kept me informed the day of arrival about his itinerary and directions to access the upper floor if we arrived when they were at church. The upper floor is much bigger than the picture shows, will comfortably sleep six and me being in HVAC Sales I was pleasantly surprised that our accommodations had a separate heating and cooling system which was much appreciated as heat rises and our room was 77° upon arrival. Within minutes of adjusting the thermostat our room was ice cold just as I like it and made for perfect sleeping. The solid construction of the upper floor joists and great insulation for sound dampening made it easy to be considerate of our gracious hosts as we didn't have to tiptoe around late in the evening worried we were keeping Mark and his family awake. The shower was amazing and had great water pressure, all in all I would stay there every time I'm in the area. It was a great discount compared to the Hampton Inn that we usually stay at.

Mark's home was fabulous and exactly as described. It is conveniently located approximately 10 minutes from Chattanooga and even closer to the Lookout Mountain allowing you to enjoy all the area has to offer. Mark was very knowledge about the surrounding area and was quick to offer suggestions for fun. We really enjoyed getting to know Mark and look forward to returning to his home to hike the Lula Lake area. Thanks again for your kindest and hospitality Mark!

We really enjoyed our stay on Lookout Mountain. I can't say enough about the great hospitality we received from Mark and his family. We were even welcomed upon arrival by Georgia the very friendly dog! The upstairs space was just what we needed. We had plenty of room to spread out. Mark generously provided plenty of coffee, tea, fruit, and snacks. Overall a great experience.

Mark and his wife were great hosts and were very knowledgable about the area. The room was very large and clean and had just about anything you might need. The location was perfect for our hikes on Lookout Mountain and just a short ride to Chattanooga. As first time Airbnb users, this was a great experience.

Andrew was a fantastic host. He met us at the property, showed us round the treehouse, and explained how it was built. He couldn't have been more helpful with a couple of additional requests. The treehouse itself is beautiful, inside and out. Very stylish and a great night away - wish we had stayed longer.

Nothing short of complete wow! thus was by far my most enjoyable travel experience and accommodation ever (and I have had loads of great travels). Andrew and his team literally could not be more tuned into the experience which they are delivering to their guests. As a fellow host, I learned so much from him and this incredible chance to be a guest of his. I cannot wait to make the journey back to Chattonooga and stay again with the treehouse project. (oh and chart is the fyl-est city in the southeast)

If you want a unique experience surrounded by nature, this is it. It was beautiful, and there were lots of nice little touches everywhere. Plus, you feel like you're in the middle of nowhere, but Chattanooga is right down the road!

This place is a dream! We had our small wedding here and stayed in the treehouse for a long weekend, and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect location. Everything was exactly as described, Andrew was so wonderful throughout the whole process and the property is gorgeous. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay near the city but feel like they're secluded. I love the small town close by and the drive to downtown is so easy! I love what Andrew has done and his ideas and dreams for the property. We can't wait to go back!

We had an incredible time at the treehouse! It is beautifully decorated and super cozy! Andrew provided us snacks, tea and coffee that were local to the area. It is also in a great location, very close to downtown Chattanooga and the riverfront.

Our little family of four spent two nights in Andrew's dreamy treehouse. From the moment we arrived to the hour we checked out it was magic. The hostess walked us up the lighted trail and showed us the beautiful property. A fire pit with chairs and firewood was awaiting outside for us to enjoy and we could hear the rushing creek water as we walked up the stairs into the whimsical abode. As we opened the door the aromatherapy filled our senses. The whimsy romantic decor, twinkling lights, and sound of birds was delightful. There was a bottle of wine local tea, and coffee waiting for us to brew in the rustic kettle. Sugar cubes, popsicles, s'mores ingredients, and the tastiest granola bars we have tasted were in the neatly designed tiny kitchen. We walked up to the cozy bed loft on rustic recycled wood stairs to see a dreamy romantic space to snooze. We slept so well in the cozy little space and woke up to watch the sunrise over the mountains on the front porch while sipping on our yummy tea. It really was a fairytale dream! What a creative, inspiring treehouse it is!

We had a great stay at Gigi's place! She communicated well with us, and her place was very cozy and comfortable and in a great location right near Covenant College where we were visiting. We also enjoyed exploring the very cool city of Chattanooga, which was just a short drive down the mountain. We will be staying there again next time we visit!

I text Gigi on the way there. We were about an hour early and she said no problem. Also told me about her dog, Baily, that would be there to greet us. Gigi was easy to reach and very friendly when we saw her at the property.

Love this little place! It was perfect for what we needed: quiet, accessible to Cloudland Canyon State Park (even in the snow!) and cozy. We appreciated the privacy and the kitchen so that we could cook all of our meals during our visit. We loved the trails around the home so we could walk the dogs. Nice, cozy space!

If you are looking for a quiet hideaway near Chattanooga, this is a great option! The only complaint that we had is that the bathrooms are pretty compact.

This located on Lookout Mountain which provides a good location to stay in a serene and secluded area for rest and relaxation while still being close to the highway to get to the sights you want to visit. Ruby Falls, Rock City, and Point Park are a hop, skip, and a jump away yet you don't have to endure constant traffic by where your staying since it is located on a dead end road. Excellent spot for a family vacation AND for a place to get away. Highly recommended.

Gigi is a wonderful hostess and her home is great. Plenty of room for three of us and everything we needed. Her area is wooded and welcoming with huge pool and Pool house. Our teen grandson loved it and would come back. Take your bath soap and shampoos. Laundry is awesome. Good tv and bedding! Very peaceful. Thanks, Gigi!!

I'm a repeat guest, so I knew what I was in for. Location on Lookout can't be beat (I could get the Cottage wifi from SBUX). Cozy & comfortable. Helpful hosts. My go-to when I'm in Chattanooga!

This home is absolutely lovely! The bedrooms were all a nice size with wonderfully updated bathrooms. We were having an issue with the fireplace and the local contact came over right away to help fix it! We had a lovely time, besides being a bit cold inside the home. All in all, I would definitely recommend this home for a small group of people. Thank you, Julie.

Pro: 1. The house is located in a perfect location on top of Lookout Mountain right across the street from Rock City. 2. The house is charming and had plenty of space for our family of six. 3. Full kitchen and laundry room makes family travel so much easier. 4. Lots of great activities close by with Rock City, Ruby Falls, Point Park, Children's Museum, and trains. Con: 1. The two bedrooms and bathroom upstairs had a strong mildew smell making then unusable for half of our stay. We had to use air an mattress and sofas in the living room for our kids. 2. The bed in the master bedroom is an old pillow-top that caves in the middle. We flipped the mattress and it was better but was not very comfortable and needs replacing. 3. The sink/garbage disposal in the kitchen wasn't working properly and was very slow to drain making which made it harder to clean things. 4. The house kind of smells old and some of the furniture looks quite old and needs replacing.

Julie's home is the perfect location for visiting Rock City, Lookout Mountain, or in our case, hosting a wedding at The Grandview. We wanted to find somewhere close, especially since both sets of our parents (the grand parents of the wedding party) would be staying with us. Staying at Julie's, so close to The Grandview, was amazingly convienient and saved us from a ton of drive time had we stayed somewhere down the mountain. We could simply pop over to the house if need be—easy walking distance and even quicker jog if something was left behind or needed quickly. On several occassions we commented how grateful we were to have booked Julie's place—charming, packed with character, and so amazingly convient. Added bonus—Starbucks is just down the street. Within a 10 minute drive further up the mounrtain, there's also a great little grocery store right next to a wonderful little restaurant called The Croner Cafe—great food and a teriffic host! Both familes shared dinner there the night before the rehearsal dinner. Another cool thing about the location of Julie's home is that it feels very private while still being a part of the Lookout Mountain neighborhood. Since all the weekend wedding festivities were in the late afternoon/evenings, my mornings were free so it was fun to slip on the running shoes and explore Lookout Mountain's amazing neighborhood—filled with beautiful homes, quiet streets, and lots of fresh mountain air. It felt very similar to runner in my own neighborhood back home! On one of the morning runs, following the loop around the golf course, a couple of overlooks were discovered—both a beautiful and unexpected surprise! We coulnd't have been more pleased. Julie was so quick to respond to any questions. She did everything to ensure we had a great stay—and that's just what it was, a GREAT stay! Thanks Julie!

Experience was ok. The house shows age and neglect. Paint peeling, Internet and tv did not work, upstairs shower holder needs tightening. One other side, it was clean and beds comfortable.

Great house for the cost. Amazing stove for the chefs out there! Comfortable and eclectic house with antique furnishings as shown in the pictures. House is older so if you're looking for a modern place it isn't for you. We enjoyed the charm and you can't beat the view.

The view of this home is absolutely amazing. I would come back for the view alone. The home sits at the end of a dead end road. The driveway is as far as you go. The backyard overlooks a big valley of some of the most beautiful green hills I have seen. It is very quiet and serene. There is no Wi-Fi network, but honestly, forget about your phone when there. There is still cell service. But, enjoy the house and view while you are there. It was just perfect for a weekend getaway from the city. Mary was very quick to reply and get us the info needed to check in. If I ever come back to Chattanooga, I hope this spot is available.

This house is perfect for a weekend getaway to just unwind, or a place to stay for a week, while enjoying all Chattanooga has to offer. The house itself is welcoming, comfortable, and clean, and the grounds are just beautiful. The kitchen is well-stocked with all necessary items needed to prepare and serve meals. The Wi-Fi is up and running, and we had no issues with it at all. This will absolutely be my go-to for future visits.

We had a great stay at the Schmidt House! The bedrooms were comfortable, everything was provided for--dish soap, laundry detergent, body wash, towels, etc. The pictures are very accurate--it is a gorgeous home and property. It is remote and beautiful. The furnishings are amazing (the master bed is so comfortable), the view, incredible. The home is private, but the separate home where the host's parents live is closer than I anticipated. There is a shared wall near the fireplace, and during the day the parents were around the property doing yardwork. At certain points we were concerned about our noise level and weren't sure how quiet to be. That being said, they were helpful and available to answer our questions. Would highly recommend to adults--the backyard could be potentially dangerous for unsupervised children, as there is a steep drop off. Keep in mind that the location is far up on Lookout Mountain, and can be chillier than the rest of Chattanooga. Would definitely stay there again!

Love this cabin! We would definitely come back again. Adorable architecture and super peaceful surroundings. We enjoyed the hot tub in the evening and just lounging with a glass of wine on the porch in the afternoon listening to the breeze and watching the trees sway. The cabin is 20 mins from Chattanooga so we could go get dinner/brunch but still feel like we were in the mountains while at the cabin.

What a gem of a cabin in the woods! I cannot say enough good about our experience. The owners seemed to be a team of people and were super responsive as soon as we communicated and were so thoughtful by going out of their way to leave us coffee and baby shampoo even for our little one before we arrived! We would definitely return. The bed upstairs was large and it was great to have the downstairs bedroom for our little 10 month old who also loved crawling around the carpet and open space. Thank goodness it was very clean! The only point to note if not familiar with Lookout Mountain is that the cabin is actually on top of the mountain and a bit of a drive to central LM but still less than a 15 min drive to Rock City and Starbucks for example.

Good host communication. The Chalet was as described and was very comfortable. It was secluded and quiet but not too far away from Chattanooga. Would recommend for anyone traveling to this area.

Catherine's house was just as advertised, with a nice, contemplative vibe. St. Elmo is a very cute neighborhood and the location of the house is super peaceful. It was very nice to not have a TV around, and the Hula Hoops got a lot of use. Some travelers might find the cottage to be too bohemian in feel, but we thought it was just right and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. (Note that the beds are single beds, so plan accordingly.)

Catherine was extremely helpful for me and Kate's trip to Chattanooga. First of all the house was perfect for us and the location was great. Catherine recommend numerous hiking trails which we loved specifically signal mountain! As food lovers the restaurant she recommended were awesome, Especially the coffee from velo. Overall Catherine was big help and she was always a text or phone call away if we needed anything. I definitely recommend Catherine and her peaceful cottage!

We had a wonderful weekend at Catherine's place and the cottage was exactly how she described it. Since the bed is a twin, we brought a queen air mattress and set it up in the extra empty room so the bathroom door situation was not a problem (only door between bathroom and living room, not bathroom and bedroom). She left us several LaCroix sparkling waters (which happen to be my favorite and I drank them all) as well as a sweet note welcoming us for our stay. She was very responsive via text with our questions over the entire weekend and the wifi worked perfectly. Our only issue was the hot water never worked but when our host heard about it she offered us a discount if we wanted to return for a future weekend. All around would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a low key relaxing weekend!

My host Dale was an absolute joy and Lori saved my life by notifying me of a lost item before I left Chatt-town! This is a quaint nook, with lovely rustic charm-- I loved it! If you have time take a lil walk around to enjoy nature and antique touches in the surrounding community, this was my one regret that I didn't take advantage of that as I was pressed for time. All in all, a great experience that I'd highly recommend!

We had a wonderful experience at the cabin! It was a first time get away for my family of non campers. It was a great blend of a cabin experience but not being all alone in the woods. The surroundings were beautiful and the decor was perfect. We are a family of four and the kids ended up jumping in to that California king size bed and we ended up cuddling as a family and loved every minute of it! What a great location! So close to so much but you don't feel like you are in the city at all. Access to harvest activities, incline rail road, Rock City, Chattanooga and so much more. Dale and Lori were wonderful hosts and knowledgeable about the area, they also were wonderful in letting our kids romp in the leaves, helped set up and keep a fire for our s'mores, let us taste fresh veggies from their garden, and even set up horse shoes so we could play as a family! We enjoyed a delicious dinner made by Lori, which we still talk about. This is truly a wonderful location and host family. We want to thank them for such a wonderful experience!

First of all I have to say Marcie is a wonderful host. She was there to help us with anything we needed that anytime and made our check in and check out process so smooth and easy it was wonderful. Even though the house location is somewhat secluded it is a great venue for a family get together's. The cool thing about it is that the seclusion is only about a 15 minute ride from town, so you have the best of both worlds when being with family and wanted to see Chattanooga. It has easy access to Lookout Mountain other local major attractions as well as beautiful woods to hike if you desire to do so. This venue is great for large families and I would recommend it highly.

Wonderful stay at a big, roomy, rustic home in a beautiful mountain setting outside Chattanooga. Made for a perfect weekend for two families (4 adults and 6 kids, total). Marcie was fantastic to work with -- very communicative and truly interested in making sure we enjoyed our trip. And even though we were up on Lookout Mountain, we had easy (15-20 minutes) access to downtown Chattanooga, so we had the best of both worlds: plenty of space and an incredible location without sacrificing convenience. Would definitely book the Pettit house for future multi-family trips to the Chattanooga area.

This place is INCREDIBLE! The perfect house rental for Lookout Mountain as a jumping off point (literally or figuratively if you paraglide as launch is just a couple miles away!) to experience all the awesomeness Chattanooga has to offer and the unique, laid-back feel of Lookout. She is very attentive, happy and genuinely happy to have you there. She used to own and operate an upscale Bed & Breakfast in town, so she has an especially good knack for the guest experience and how to meet and exceed expectations. The back courtyard and screened in brick porch are great places to hang out with your crew, and just a quick walk across a neat bridge into the woods and there is an awesome fire pit with seating for S'mores, strumming to sing-alongs, ghost stories or a glass of wine. All in all, a great place to hang your hat; highly recommend! Brooks

The Pettit house was very spacious with great lighting, beautiful sun room, yard area, dining room for entertaining, and comfy family room with cable for relaxing. The large house and various rooms made our large group very comfortable and easy to feel at home and sleep well. The house was equipped with cooking and electronics to make our mountain stay very enjoyable and functional for meals. Marcie was helpful and hospitable in the planning process as well as welcoming us on our arrival. It was great to have the owner close by for advice and help with any issues that came up with the snow. Marcie was very helpful with dining options on Lookout Mountain, as well as transportation suggestions. We really appreciated her kindness and hospitality. I would recommend the Pettit House to anyone and return soon for another stay! Great for family or group getaway.

Covenant Cottage is a tucked away gem on Lookout Mountain. Clean, quaint, well equipped, and so well located. We came up for our daughter's college graduation and wanted a place to accommodate 4 of us comfortably for a long weekend. Comfortable family room, great fully equipped kitchen with dining room, comfortable bedrooms and well equipped bathrooms. Easy access to Lookout Mountain sites and all that Chattanooga has to offer. Covenant Cottage was the perfect spot! We plan on coming back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Covenant Cottage. Everything was nice & tidy when we arrived & the place fit 8 people comfortably. It was very easy to get into downtown Chattanooga (15 min. drive) and were many things to see & do on Lookout Mountain as well.

Our family had a great stay! The home was clean when we arrived and very accommodating to our needs! Very spacious for a family of 4.

Great location close to Ruby Falls, incline railroad and the military park. Able to walk around the park with the kids while seeing the re-enactors. A good size Mapco market was nearby for necessities and a Starbucks wasn't too far away if you need coffee. The house was great for hanging out with a nice outdoor spot and great TV for football watching. Clean, quiet and plenty of space at a great value.

Home is clean and adequate for a short stay, though very small. However, beware that the bunk beds are VERY loose and shaky. We would not have felt it safe to sleep children on the top bunks. Fortunately, we did not need eight sleeping spots.

In addition to being super-friendly and welcoming, Marcie went above and beyond as a host by giving us a thorough tour of the place, pointing us to nearby attractions and restaurants--and even bringing us bagels, juice, cereal and fruit for breakfast! The property itself is beautiful (spacious, squeaky-clean bathrooms) and is located in a picturesque, affluent neighborhood that is just minutes from Rock City, Ruby Falls, Starbucks (importantly for us!) and downtown Chattanooga. Great place and host!
